120 for a oil change??? Rip off. Got my money because I was so caught off guard. Explaining to me that it was a lot because my car needed full synthetic meanwhile tech marked synthetic blend on sticker.Dishonest. Lost my business from this point forward.... Anyone can look up the price of the product described as being used and see the mark up here was excessive.
Got a flat tire on a Friday afternoon leaving the city for the weekend. Called Cybert and they had our tire in stock and we were towed to their location. Immediately we were helped and everyone was very kind. We LOVED the holiday decorations, water/tea/coffee in the waiting area. There weren’t any other cars being worked on while we were there and were in and out even quicker than we had expected. LOVE THIS PLACE
I called in to inquire about fixing a nail in a tire, but the person on the person on the phone was very rude, and didnt have patience to explain what kind of information was needed and essentially hung up on me before I had a chance to ask what else he needs besides the tires size. The phone call lasted maybe 30 seconds.
I dont know how I havent left a review for these guys yet -- theyre truly the best auto shop Ive ever dealt with.Always always super courteous, helpful and (most importantly) honest.Theyve saved /resurrected Two vehicles for me after a string of bad repair jobs with other mechanics.Outstanding work, Everytime.A special Shout out to John, Dale, Tom and the rest of the crew (sorry I dont know you all by name).
It is rare to find an auto shop that you both trust and like. John and Mike do both. I first went to them years ago for a tire problem, and have had my cars serviced there almost exclusively since then (except for dealer-mandated work). They do high-quality work for a reasonable price. The shop itself is spotless (a sign for me of a good place) and they go out of their way to make you comfortable while you wait (ask anyone about their coffee!).
I brought my 2003 Ford Focus here, and they did a wonderful job. The owner was very nice, upfront and honest. And Im thrilled not only that they fixed my car so it would pass inspection but that the check engine light has stayed off after driving it quite a bit. They seem to really know what theyre doing, and they brought some much needed life into my old car as well as more reliability for bringing the car out for day trips! Thanks so much! I will be back as a regular customer.
John and his Staff were very gracious and accommodating from my very 1st phone call. Due to their knowledge and professional experience in automotive, they did a great job for me and the price was more then fair. I will recommend them to friends and family. They will be my go-to shop from now on when I am in Manhattan. I highly recommend them
I love this place. Super nice, range of services in different price ranges. I love that I can sit in my car while they work on it. Changed my wiper blades, checked tire pressure, free alignment included in next visit, quick and back to work. Could have changed all fluids but I didnt do that this time. Good stuff, Maynard.
Came by for some air for my tire this morning. Walked in and there were 2 gentlemen sitting looking pretty available. Asked if they could just fill me up with some air and he said the price was $20. When I asked the guy behind the desk if he was serious he suggested I leave, being extremely rude and super unwilling to help. Went down the block to the Mobil gas station and filled up my air for $1. Omar at the station ordered me a new tire that I will have installed Monday.I would recommend staying away from this place as any place that doesnt understand the spirit of being of service to a customer should not be trusted to diagnose a problem with your car honestly. As you can see from the owners response below - he does not acknowledge the fact that he or his employee was extremely rude and instead of explaining why it was so expensive he asked me to leave. in the Employees words if you dont like it you can leave
I had the pleasure of taking my car to Cyberts after I got a flat tire in Manhattan. I wasnt able to get my car to Johns shop until they were just about to close. He stayed open for me and got new tire on in 10 minutes. And it was on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. John and his staff were excellent. Very professional and honest. There arent to many shops in the city that you can say that about. Ive been driving in New York City for 15 years. This wasnt my first flat and probably wont be my last. But now I have a great shop that I know I can go to. Thanks again John and keep up the great work.
I was told over the phone that I couldnt get an estimate until they see the car. I drove there around 1PM and was told Id get service in about 30 min. Those 30 turned into 60... 90... 120... I ended up leaving. The worst part about this place was looking at other cars coming after me and going right through me. Not even some basic level reassurance. Unless you are the only car on their list for the day or you wouldnt mind getting crappy service, avoid this place. Great service? Maybe 100 years ago...
Friendliest group of individuals at a Manhattan auto care center I have encountered. I went there on a whim just for an inspection and they were professional and courteous. I was in and out very quickly. I have gone to various places in the West side and 50s over the past 15 years and sorry I didnt find them sooner.
Mike responded to my urgent need to have my BMW M3 ‘95 receive an immediate car inspection. Within less than an hour, he adequately diagnosed that my car needed new brakes. In addition to this, his fee for this service was much less than what an authorized BMW dealership would charge and he finished the job within a day. I personal want to thank Mike for his excellent customer service and for making sure that my car drives “safely and soundly”. Jeff
Classy, clean, super friendly, and best of all, super fast service. On the Friday after thanksgiving, I only had to wait 10 minutes for an oil change and it took under 45 minutes! And $5-$10 less money than a junky (but good) place I used to go in Brooklyn. :) Really highly recommend!
These guys are just the best. Polite, professional, honest. Been using them for years for all sorts of auto repair needs. Their specialty is tires, but I had to take my car in for an inspection and they did it today while I waited. I was in and out (after getting two tickets for an uninspected vehicle). They have the coolest waiting room of any auto dealer or repair shop Ive been to. Fresh free coffee (not that crap you see at dealerships). Always other customers to talk with. My brother likes this outfit too. Highly recommended.
This is my absolutely favorite car repair shop that I have been to. Extremely friendly service, which include a clean bathroom, very good unlimited coffee, great decoration for holidays, but of course, most important, they do a great job to fix your car, and price is very reasonable! Highly recommended, and finitely a trust worthy store to go fix your car or go with any question you have!
$57 for a Lexus RX flat tire fix. Owner got upset when I seemed shocked. I didn’t even say anything. Started lecturing me how he pays living wages and walked away. Staff was very courteous and professional. I have never had a flat fix in the city. So not sure if this is extreme or normal rate for flat fix and balance.
Dont waste our time going here, after checking in and waiting 15 minutes for an inspection, the mechanic tells me he cant inspect my car because it is a 2020 and he did not get the stickers for new cars. WHAT BS!!! All cars get the same inspection stickers you liar, hope your business fails for lying to people.
I called ahead to ask about an oil change. They said I could bring it in at any time that day and it would probably just have to wait like 20-25 minutes for them to actually do the service on the car. I show up and this VERY condescending man tells me that it will be easily 45 minutes before he can “even talk to me” and to “keep moving along. They can’t even take the car in.” Not worth the hassle. I went someplace else that actually followed through on what they promised on he phone. “Drop it off anytime and we’ll be able to tell you how long it will take to get back to you.” Cybert just plain and simply lied on the phone. Bad form.
Took my car for an inspection a little while back... They cited bubble in tire (which understandably had to be changed). Also said I had front suspension issues that would run over $2,000. But that they would discount it down to a little over $1,000. Thats odd - offering me a discount, without me even starting to haggle.Took it to my long trusted mechanic in NJ and they said they couldnt find what they were talking about. Then took it to get inspected by a garage near my office in Brooklyn and they couldnt find any issue.#Scam
I had a similar experience as June did. My wife brought the car in for an inspection and was told the car needed over $1200 of service (rack and pinion). I brought it to my parents long time mechanic in Queens (who had always serviced the car) who told me the rack and pinion was fine. Car was inspected. I have since taken the car to a new mechanic here in Manhattan for regular service and they confirmed there was nothing wrong with the rack and pinion. Place cannot be trusted.
The manager basically extorted 10$ from me. I called before I went, to ask if they sell headlight lamps so I can change it myself before my state safety inspection. I already had the socket out, I was supposed to push the bulb in only when he informed me that if I do it by myself hes gonna have to fail my state inspection and if they do it with 10$ labor more everything will be fine. I payed the 10$ extra since I didnt want to pay 37$ more.
I remember having my car serviced here years ago and was very pleased with their professionalism and how neat and bright the place looked. But just beware. I went a few months ago for a brake tune up, but they dont install parts you bring yourself. They were nice to recommend another place for this kind of job.
Ive been a loyal customer for over 10 years but I think I have to draw the line now. Went in for a $37. NYS inspection, and I was very clear about that. Ended up shelling out almost $170. The inspection was taking longer than it should have, and the guy came out and tried to sell me new struts, even though they had passed inspection. I said no, I just came here for an inspection only. I knew I didnt need new struts--no problems with the cars suspension. He tried to tell me that based on my cars mileage I should get new struts. I said no again. Another long period of time passes, and the guy comes to the waiting area and says do you want an oil change, you are only 50 miles to the next recommended change. At this point I am getting aggravated, but I consented without actually checking my odometer readings first--my mistake because I trusted them. When I got home I checked and still had 755 miles until my next oil change was due. The guy straight up lied to my face. Not appreciated. Another 30 minutes went by, and the guy comes out AGAIN, this time with my air filter and cabin air filter removed without consent in his hands. I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS. I wanted to maintain a good relationship with this place as there are not many reliable auto repair shops in the neighborhood, so again, I relented, even though after reflection the filters did not look very dirty to me.On a previous time I went in for a NYS inspection there, the display light on my car radio was broken after the inspection. It was working fine before I took it in. That could have been a coincidence, but its doubtful. I went back to have them fix it, and the guy refused to fix it, saying they would have to replace the entire radio. Whatever dude. Not a big deal, but still kind of sleazy. Now, with two strikes, I cannot justify risking potential safety issues with a place that does not value ethical behavior with customers.Moral of the story--these guys will play on your trust and sell you stuff you dont need. The trust I had with this establishment is now broken. No need to lecture me about how long you have been in business either John. I dont care. The auto repair business is based on trust, and as a loyal customer I dont appreciate people lying to my face. ESPECIALLY not a place where I have been going for a long time.
I took a company vehicle here for a state inspection. I was warned by a coworker that this place fails you every time and then price gouges you. They said we needed front brake pads and then wanted to charge $450-$650 to fix it and lucky for me, they could fit me in today. I decided to pay for my inspection and leave. I paid for the $37 inspection with a $50 bill and I didnt realize until I got back to the office that they only gave me $3 change (my fault for not checking before I left).
I went to Cybert Tire on Friday, August 14th, 2020, to get my car inspected. 30 minutes later, they tell me the car failed inspection and it needed a new rack and pinion and a new power steering fluid pump for $3000!I knew this guy was trying to rook me when I heard $3000. You cant cheat a cynic. I took the car to TWO other shops, one in NJ and one in Queens. Both said the car did NOT need the work Cybert Tire said I needed.Im sure the owner (John) will post something saying Im from a competitor, etc, etc. I am not. I simply wanted an inspection sticker and he saw a car with 104k miles on it and saw $$$ signs. And when I went back to ask for the paper work indicating why the car failed inspection, he told me the DMV system was down and wouldnt or couldnt give me the paper work.Ill be filing a complaint with NY DMV. Go to Cybert Tire at your own risk. If I could leave ZERO stars I would have.
There was a problem with my cars steering system I thought the Tie Rod Ends might need replacing but was unsure what the problem was. I called Cybert and explained the issue and asked how much they charged to take a look at the steering system and tell me whats wrong and give me an estimate. They said there would be NO CHARGE because they only needed to look at a specific area to diagnose whats wrong. I drove my car there and was told by a rude employee that they charged $109 just to look at it. He said the other employee gave me misinformation. Please dont waste your time going here. They are shady liars who tell you one thing on the phone to get you there and something else once youre there.
Great place to bring one of your most expensive items your car. Theyve been around for quite a long time and know what theyre doing and saying. So for all you knew people in the neighborhood why dont you go by and check it out and bring you a car. A very up-to-date mechanics.

$50 to patch a hole in my tire!!That is highway robbery. Their explanation: “it’s a 19 inch wheel and we remove the tire and balance the wheel after.” Many competing shops do exactly the same thing for $20, including rebalancing. Of course, with a flat tire, they know you won’t be able to easily take your car elsewhere.I picked his shop based on the positive reviews on google. Now I’m wondering how many of those reviews are fake.Maybe this review can help someone else make an informed decision BEFORE taking this car to this shop.FYI they have moved around the corner to 545 W 52nd Street. The address on google maps is wrong.
I went there a year ago for inspection and failed (yes, Im elderly with white hair) and they told me I needed a $2500 new power steering rack, etc. - I knew it was a lie and sure enough when I went somewhere in the city (Murrys) else they said no way the steering was fine AND THE CAR PASSED EASILY. I then had it checked by ANOTHER mechanic upstate and he said THE SAME THING: the car is in great shape. Beware: Cybert will try to take advantage of you if youre old. BOO!
I brought my 2013 5 series BMW here to get the starter replaced. NEVER HAD 1 ISSUE BEFORE HIRING CYBERT TO REPLACE STARTER. When my car was returned, it was barely running and was stating drivetrain malfunction on the screen. It was backfiring, revving when first turned on, shaking at times, and did not have full engine power along with numerous other issues whilst engine was turned on. I brought this to the attention of the manager and he told me they were not responsible as the car was not running when i brought it to them as the starter needed to be replaced so if I wanted to have them work on it more Id need to pay more than the 900$ i had already been charged. Instead of allowing them to damage my car any further, i brought it to another mechanic. New mechanic showed me how cybert had left numerous wires unplugged and the ends of the wires were frayed and melted from the heat of the engine therefore my car was not hooked back up even close to properly!! Cybert either purposely left all those wires unplugged to make more money or are not BMW certified as they falsely advertise! DO NOT LET THEM RUIN YOUR CAR, LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE OF TRUSTING THEM AND GO SOMEWHERE PROPER!! THEY ARE SNAKES IN THE GRASS!!
I went to Cybert Tire for a NYS auto inspection. They were friendly and quick, and informed me that I would need to replace my two rear tires and failed the inspection. However, a different autoshop passed my car and informed me that the tires were not even close to needing to be replaced. I was lied to and my inspection failed, all in an attempt to sell me tires that did not match what I already had.
John the manager is a very down to earth and honest guy... Dale is the best mechanic I have ever had work on my car... He took time to get to know the history behind the issues... so he could properly diagnose and resolve the problem... then took me aside to explain what was done as well as give me some recommendations to avoid future issues and expensive costs.
Still not sure whether I recommend this place or not. For those who are doing well financially its definitely a “must go” place but considering my pocket it wasnt a place I could afford. Thankfully I was invited by someone from internet auction repokar to buy from them. I wasnt expecting I would like it so much! Easy to access, available from smart phone and what made me really happy: great prices.
My husband and i were there a few days ago to get a new tire for our Mitsubshi. My husband, a recently retired Green Beret, was up working in NYC for business. We used as an excuse to take a quick weekend away. (We hadnt had any time together without our son since he was born almost 5 years ago!) Not 5 minutes away from the airport in Newark where my husband picked me up. We blew a tire after hitting a pothole the size of the Grand Canyon. We found Cybert Tire and were thrilled with their service. They gave us options on price. we bought the cheaper option that would get us home to North Carolina. They were honest and did not gouge two out-of-towners.
11/14 truck Radiator thermostat diagnosed and fixed at Cybert... $800. 3/15 Radiator leaking, taken back to Cybert they concluded someone put the wrong radiator cap on therefore causing a leak...$250 to diagnose and fix. Two days later while my son is driving to Buffalo,NY the truck overheats and gets towed to nearest service center where they conclude all the radiator fluid leaked out because the radiator cap was loosely put on and radiator hose unattatched causing a leak over the 400+ drive. $159 to tow and fix. Invoice from Buffalo service station taken to Cybert, who eventually tell me that the owner will not honor the warranty because the truck wasnt towed over 400 miles back to them. These people will not stand by their work even when they over charge and obviously dont do the job properly. THIEVES, CROOKS, INCOMPS
An old-fashioned mechanic with mechanic values youre not going to get beaten in the head and they charge you $300 for a Gobstopper honest courteous professional amenities in the waiting room as well as coffee tea iced tea candies television up-to-date magazines and good conversation always decorated to for the holidays
I manage a fleet of 35 vehicles for a NYC non-profit and have been very happy using Cybert Tire for over a year now. Their customer service is excellent, their prices are fair, and I trust them. Over the years weve used many shops in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn and I often use a fleet management company to evaluate repair recommendations and pricing, so Ive done my homework.
2015 Chevy Cruze. Fleet carExcellent fast service . Came in with a bad tire and rim. They fixed the rim replaced the tire and reset the computer all within 30 mins plus pulled up my company fleet account and got all the billing done seamlessly. Went back today because I needed manufacturer service and an oil change. Again fast professional. Nice waiting area. Highly recommend and will bring my personal car when I need service as well.
Almost daily NYC becomes more and more of an inhospitable place for private cars: Potholes, broken pavement, Citibikes, construction sites strewing nails and screws, impossible traffic and (soon) congestion pricing. Survival is dependent upon quick, professional, high-quality repair and replacement service and, by that standard, Cybert Tire is a must.
I WENT THERE FOR AN INSPECTION. FAILED BECAUSE MECHANIC STATES THAT MY FRONT TIRES NEED TO CHANGE. HE IMMEDIATELY SUGGESTED I CHECK WITH THE GUY INSIDE THE OFFICE ON THE PRICE ON TIRES.BALD HEADED AFRICAN AMERICAN GUY IN THE OFFICE WAS VERY RUDE ON TOP OF HIS RUDE MANNERS HE GAVE ME PRICES THAT WERE VERY HIGH FOR TIRES FOR MY CAR. HE TRIED TO CHARGE ME DOUBLE THE PRICE. THANK GOD FOR GOOGLE. I FELT LIKE THEY TRIED TO SCAMM ME. AND PLEASE BRING CASH FOR INSPECTION THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I WENT TO THAT ONLY TAKE CASH FOR INSPECTION.
I loved working with Missy. I never felt pressured, but Missy made sure that I knew all my options. I never thought in my wildest dreams I would buy a car the very first time I go out shopping. I have never been impulsive, but Missy was so informative and so friendly and knowledgeable that I felt it was the right choice. Once the paperwork started, Vince was incredibly helpful and a lot of fun to work with. I will be a Cybert Tire & Car Care customer for life.

2022-07-14Cyber Car Care took great care of my car! I needed to get my car inspection updated. I called them, and they were extremely courteous and informative over the phone. When I got there, they informed me immediately that they would be able to perform the service. They notified me about the expected waiting time. The service was performed promptly and with a smile. And the waiting area outdoors was a wonderful treat - comfortable seats in a shaded decorated seating area.Kudos to Cybert for excellent service and customer care.10 out of 10!

2022-03-22I visited this location back in January and received exceptional service. I was immediately greeted by Robert who provided exceptional service. Today, Im here again with my sister. Once again, the service was outstanding. I will definitely use their services again. Thank you for keeping my car safe on the road.

2022-07-19I come here for service on my vehicle such as oil change and flat repairs. However, the man at the counter I assume is not a morning person so that speaks volumes. The owner is always upbeat and friendly. Fast service!!

2022-07-14Got a flat tire with my kids in the car right before the tunnel and just as they were about to close. I looked over and there they were. About to close.... but they stayed opened, repaired my tire (didnt try to upsell me a new one), gave kids some coloring sticker books and I was quickly on my way. They were amazing, nice, honest, fast and awesome. Couldnt thank and recommend them enough.

2022-04-21Owner is the worst, have no respect for clients or clients time. After wait for 45 min for an inspection, told I was second in line. Then after asking, respond in a very aggressive and confrontational way that it was 45 min more and I was third in line. After ask for clarification he just says that if I didn’t like I can go somewhere else and leave me there. If this is the way the owner treat customer that live in the block where his place is, imagine other people. The worst place in midtown.

2022-05-09I was told what repairs were needed to pass the inspection and then sent off very abruptly after paying. They somehow forgot to put my lug nuts for my driver side front tire back on causing me to lose my tire and crash on I-78E. This horrible oversight is inexcusable and nearly cost me my life and the life of my partner who was in the passenger side at the time. Do NOT go here.

2022-01-26Whoa, Im in utter disbelief. I called this morning, and heres how the conversation went.Me: Hey there, do you take appointments for inspections?Cybert: No, we dont take appointments, just drive in.Me: Cool, do you have a rough idea what the wait time would be right now?Cybert: No, I have cars in the garage and people in the waiting room and outside.Me: Got it, would I be...Cybert: Look Im very busy, gotta go, bye. {click}Me: ... able to leave my car there?Im truly amazed. Ive used them before, the mechanics are good, but the guy at the front desk has held a reputation for being incredibly rude. I had yet to be exposed to this personally until today and I saw his true colors. The call was 24 seconds long. If you cant take 24 seconds to talk to a customer on the phone, dont answer it. Thanks!Buyer beware, take your car to a shop that is at least considerate, and doesnt hang up on you for asking a reasonable question.

2022-04-30Cybert to the rescue. When Audi couldn’t get the car in for an appointment by the end of the month, Cybert could, the next day. No wait, quick service, friendly folks. Plus we’d rather support small, local, businesses. Thank you, Tom.

2022-02-14Probably the WORST experience Ive ever had with a business. I brought in my BMW 750Li to have new rear tires mounted and balanced. Not only was the man running the office very COLD AND RUDE, they WERENT UPFRONT WITH THEIR PRICING and I paid DOUBLE what Ive paid for the same job many times in the past elsewhere. Probably cost more than what the BMW dealer would have charged. THATS NOT EVEN THE WORST PART!!! They SCRATCHED the entire lip of both rims they mounted tires on and they are both VERY UNBALANCED. Never have I had such bad service and now I am going to have to pay multiple times what it would have cost to do the job correctly to fix what they did. IN SHORT, I HOPE NO ONE EVER GOES TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN. I would ask for a full refund but thats barely going to get me the distance of covering the damage they did now that both rear wheels need to be refinished.

2022-02-02A wonderful throwback experience in Customer Service.I am almost reluctant to describe how special Cybert Tire is because the service is so top notch that I dont want to risk degrading it due to more customer traffic. Whether you need a tire repaired/replaced or getting your car Inspected these guys are the best. Cybert is quick, efficient and exceedingly competent. Every employee is a consummate professional with exceptional skill and knowledge. Pricing for parts and labor is very fair, especially for NYC. If most of your car maintenance interactions occur In a dealership you will be surprised by the contrast in customer experience. For those of us old enough to remember what great customer service is about you cant help but feel a deep sense of nostalgia from your experience at Cybert. I can not recommend Cybert enough.
