I knew this store existed (I bought a motorcycle jacket here once) but had never bought a bike from them. But they had exactly the bike I wanted this month, I bought it new off their showroom floor, and couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Ace and the rest of the staff were friendly, transparent about pricing, and service-oriented. The shop is very busy but I still felt well taken care of. I’m confident I’ll be happy with the service experience, too. (They also sold me a helmet I liked at a fair price.)
The horrific customer service was enough to lead us to take our business elsewhere. We wanted to purchase a new scooter and it was alarming how hard we had to work to get professional, attentive, and thorough service. The employees (starting with a salesman, Ace, and including the owner, Rahav) had awful follow-through, were impolite, consistently forgot who we were and what transaction we were a part of, and became combative, defensive, cut us off in conversation and were argumentative when we called this out. Their communication was baffling: we would speak to them on the phone and call back with additional questions/information within the hour and they admittedly forgot what we discussed the very same day; they also misplaced all of our written correspondence and blamed it on a secretary. As customer service agents of highly expensive products, it was saddening that they exhibited such a lack of care for our business. To use the owners words, heres what you should do: take your business elsewhere. You should likely take your business elsewhere, as well!
First time riders, skip this place .... (I am now experienced and seeing that name still make me cringe.)Got my first ride from them when they were in front of Javits Center, a Kawa 650. I did not know much about bikes back then but ended up being a nightmare. Never again I promised ...My second ride was a Ducati I bought on Craigs list. It was not the cheapest, it was market for that kind of bike. I was going over old paperwork and discovered that the guy I bought the bike from did the maintenance at that shop on 127th.One of the maintenance item was to masquerade what would cost me another $2000 on top of the price of the bike. The bike was not the cheapest on the Craig List. The water in the tank rusted and that rust got into the line and the carburetor. They should have replaced the tank instead of trying to ride it.Theyre still open (I really forgot about them) until I just discovered that bill and saw the line about the water. A bike is something sentimental, so they get 1 star. If the bill included **Need To Replace Gaz Tank because Rust** I would not have reviewed the place.
The owner of the shop is very arrogant. He talked to me like he was doing me a favor. I wouldnt recommend this place when i have other options. Chris on the other hand is very polite and humble. He talks to you like a human being. That is why i gave the 3 star otherwise i would have given them 1
Don’t live in Harlem anymore but when I was there this was my go to spot. These guys were extremely helpful, always honest. I was a new biker when I started going there and they never made me feel dumb for the questions I asked. Also felt very comfortable in the shop as a woman. Will still be stopping through from time to time. Prices are pretty decent as well.
I noticed the bad reviews before I went here, including the ones on how they fail inspections for BS reasons, but because I didnt have a problem 4 years ago with another bike I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was told half an hour but actually waited an hour for inspection (was the only one there for inspection, mind you) and then 5 minutes later, they didnt pass the bike for the front tire. Even though there is enough tread on the 750 mile tire (by the way, they measure tread depth with the tip of a pen, so theyll probably find a reason to fail other people for that scientific measurement) they told me it was worn incorrectly. If you go to the NY DMV site, there is nothing about uneven wear as long as there arent bald spots and the tread is fine, both of which apply to my tire. To add insult to injury, because of the long wait, it started raining so I got to ride back in the cold rain.Just like the other bad reviewers I should have listened to, Ill take my measly $6 somewhere else this week and every other time I need an inspection.
Had these guys fix my duc and they did a pretty great job on it. Chris is super solid on his customer service skills and the rest of the guys are friendly and knowledgeable. Even showed me how to check my oil! It should be noted these guys are one of the few shops that work on older Ducatis and they even have a hook up for refinishing your tank. Couldnt recommend these guys more.
Nice store things are over priced if you ask me. Id rather just buy things online or go somewhere else. Ive been there multiple times and wasnt able to get the help I needed because I have a (Chinese) scooter. So if you have a Chinese scooter dont even waster your time going there. Unless your getting maintenance done on your scooter such as oil change and gear change just so you have some paperwork when you sell the scooter that youve done maintenance on the scooter thats the only reason why I would go there
I had to re-Edit my previous post. Its a storm on the way. A tropical storm. The owner had to drive from the city to my house in upstate NY.I Had to wait a week for my delivery. The owner is a family man with newborns.Very friendly and very apologize for his delay.I would recommend the dealership very honest owner!
I wanted a full face helmet, went to the shop for the first time, the sales representative was cool, not pushy, clear and most of all patient. Sales representative took the time to show me different sizes, colors, features and brands of helmets, Im very happy with my purchase, I will be returning to this shop and I would recommend anyone who needs motorcycle gear, service, etcetera to cycle therapy nyc.
They sold me an unwarrenteed used bike that needed to be repaired for more money then a new bike plus shipping across country with 1 year warranty would cost.I was told they were forced to tell me that they could not warranty the bike because the factory in China that made it went out of business however dealerships around the country are able to offer the bike with a warrenty. I was told bike would be in Tip-Top running shape.Within two blocks of the dealership the bike started cutting off.I wonder what the definition of Tip Top running shape is Ill tell you what they told me caveat exemptor or buyer.. beware.
Cycle Therapy has been there for me, time and time again. I cannot say enough about the caliber of the mechanics and knowledge of the floor salesmen. They have been honest and fair with me from my first bike purchase in 2015. I wont go anywhere else for my purchases, repairs, advice, or maintenance.
This is the only place I will take my bike for repairs in the city. These guys are fast and thorough, Chris was extremely helpful, he even called a few days later to see if I was still having issues. It’s easy to get to and close to the subway. They also have great prices on apparel and helmets.
Great shop! They stored my bike during offseason and then prepped it for riding in the spring. Before I picked the bike, Chris sent me an email summarizing what needs to get done when the bike is taken out of storage, and gave me a great price on the rear tire that was worn out and had to be replaced. Recommend it!
I came here several times to shop for my first motorcycle. There was no pressure at all from the staff in there. Everyone was nice and I like the space set up. The first day I was able to get drive off my bike they even let me store it there for a couple of days just so I can practice driving it around. I took it home on the 3rd on the way to work when I felt the courage to just do it. Everyone was helpful and the guy who sold it to me even taught me a little on how use the gears and everything. I would def buy here and again and def recommend it to my friends
Use this shop at your own risk or if you love burning money. My bike (1970 BSA 650) shutoff while riding it. Unfortunately, I was near this shop when it happened. I say unfortunately because I already had a couple bad experiences with them, but I was closest to it and didnt have money for a tow. I asked them to charge my battery, they said we have to check the whole charging system. I just wanted the battery charged so I could ride to the shop I trust, but they insisted and I was stuck so I agreed. $100 plus $7.95 for MISCELLANEOUS SHOP SUPPLIES. Then after a week of holding my bike they finally called and said you need a new charging system. $350 labor, plus parts. A new stator for my bike runs between $100-$200 depending on the brand and quality, they certainly wouldve ordered the cheapest one (if they bothered to change it at all) and charged more for it. So they were looking to charge me at least $500. I told them to leave my bike as is and had it towed to a trusted shop. My trusted shop called, the very next day, and said I had a blown fuse and my bike was ready. A fuse for my bike is less than $10. Thats the experience I had today. If you want to know more, read about my previous bad experiences. My other bike (2000 Royal Enfield) had a malfunctioning break light. They would not pass it for inspection. They said it was probably a bad switch and it would be about $350 in labor to diagnose and fix the problem plus parts. Instead, I rode it to my trusted shop and it turned out to be a simple problem with the break switch located in the tool box that they fixed in front of me in 3 minutes with a screwdriver and the owner wouldnt take any money for the work. (Someone knocked my bike over while parking and the tool box got dented affecting that switch.)Cycle Therapy is only good if you want to overpay for equipment or need a bottle of oil. If you bring your bike for inspection they will see cracks in your tires that dont exist and say you need new ones to pass then sell them to you for several hundred dollars. They caught me with that scam the first time bought a bike (1970 BSA 250) and sucked over $500 out of my wallet for the tires and mounting them. (After checking the date on them I noticed the tires were manufactured several years prior which is another problem). Had I gone to another shop for the inspection with the same tires I wouldve saved $500. Bike inspections are simply a revenue stream for them to get money out of you.Ive now had 3 bad experiences with them and would not recommend this shop to my worst enemy. Theyre friendly, they sound really knowledgeable, but if they act like youre their chum its because they are sharks looking to feast on you. I did not post a review when the first two incidents happened because I was giving them the benefit of the doubt and dont like badmouthing businesses, but I am now convinced this shop is run in a manner that is either dishonest or their mechanics are so incompetent they dont know how to check or fix bikes. They have been in business too long to not know how to check or fix a bike so that narrows it down for me. This shop is like going to Best Buy to buy batteries for your laptop, that is totally fine, and being told it doesnt work anymore and you need a new computer and theyll migrate all the data from the old one to the new one for you for just a few hundred bucks on top of the cost of the new computer. If you go to this shop they will rob you.P.S. I gave them one star that they dont deserve just because you cant post a review with no stars, which is what they deserve.
Great store, horrible mechanics. Totally took advantage of me as new rider. Got charged $250 to fix my brake light wire...and it was MINOR problem. Wire just got frayed where it was rubbing in a bad spot. They gave me some long, drawn out story about nothing. I fell for it as a noob only to find out (after the job they did failed) that it was a 10 minute fix with stuff I bought at the dollar store. I dont expect mechanics to know every fix for every bike. But my issue was basic. They got me.
I never Write reviews but these guys are amazing. Very reasonable prices (especially considering they are the only place in town so everyone has to go to them). Chris is amazing. I took My bike in and he saw my inspection was expired and just fixed it. I highly Recomend them.
An employee by the name of Chris is wonderful and kind, but their idea of factory service and what is actually needed is not the same. After being reassured they could do my service, I had to take it to a dealer anyway because they could not remove my service light. They apologized and said I got a free wash, but that was a lie. My bike was in the same condition as when dropped it off. Do not go for factory service.
Great experience overall. Theyre very attentive and appropriate. My last job took a bit longer than expected, but they communicated appropriately and when I expressed concern (I was supposed to be leaving for a road trip, and any further delay would have made me late), they took this into account. Will continue to be a loyal customer!
Great shop, I bought my first motorcycle from them, it is second hand by rides very well, they make sure everything is working well before delivering the bike. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they gave me good advice for the gear and they are always willing to help if you have more questions.
GOOD, EXPENSIVE, SHADDYThey have a great store and can fix basically anything and bring your motorcycle back to life. Stuff are friendly, however, they are very pricey and most of the time I was there, they tried to take advantage of me.I have a 2000 Honda. My first visit was for an inspection in 2016. It didnt pass. They told me I needed, new suspension, new tires and new wheel bar. Cost $1800. I declined, went somewhere else and got it inspected for $6.Visit 2 in 2017 - decided to have them change the two tires at a cost of $500. After spending that much on the bike it passed the inspection that year.Visit 3 in 2018 - inspection. It failed besides having two brand new tires, that they changed, and a fully functional motorcycle. No issues whatsoever..This time they told me there were some minors scratches on one of the tires and I was told I needed to change the tire and also thefront break for a total of $300. I went to a different shop and they told me those were minor issues not enough to fail inspection and I got the bike inspected for $6.To make a long story short, they get the job done but I feel they try too hard to find every little reason to have you spend more money.Every time I visited them I feel they are trying to take advantage of me. It doesnt feel right.Im not going back there although thats the closest place to my place. If you have a choice, try outside Manhattan.
I came to the shop on a Friday with electrical problems. They took my bike in and asked for 2 hours of labor. The next day I came back and they checked the whole electrical system and installed a new battery. As I was about to take off, the kick stand switch was malfunctioning too. I was very distraught, Chris saw my disappointed and took the bike in and bypassed the switch in less than 30 minutes. I rode off the lot with a big smile on my face. The bike started in the 25 degree weather this am with no problems and responded better to acceleration than before! Thank you guys for fixing my baby. Cheers.
WARNING!!!!Horrible. No professional courtesy. They had our bike for 3 months for minor fixes. Then got the bike it went dead 4 days later. They take advantage of peoples lack of knowledge concerning bikes, repairs and overall maintenance, safety and functioning. But KARMA returns to all who seek unethical behavior....Safe travels to all my riders!
This is the place to go. It's that simple.Bought a great used bike at a good price on Saturday, picked it up Tuesday after it was serviced, and ouldnt be happier. The shop is pretty busy (especially with the nice weather), so you need to have a little patience... but its clearly because theyre good, helpful and fair, so Im not complaining.
Took my brand new Kawasaki ninja 650 in to this place for a oil change with 220 miles on it. I’m still getting use to my bike an was concerned about my temperature gauge reaching its peak too soon. I had them do the oil change to see if anything would change on my bike plus to get fresh oil in the engine due to the “break-in” phase where pieces of metal are known to end up in the oil. They told me I would have leave my bike and I said no forget it. Then I started browsing around the store after about 5mins the service rep told me “hey he said he can start working on the bike for you now” 2 hours and $135 later I ended up with my bike over filled with oil and my dfi/check engine light on. Guy told me the oil change wouldn’t affect my check engine light . I didnt go to the shop with any of my warning lights on. So whatever they did triggered my check engine light.I will take it to Kawaski tomorrow and find out what happened.
They tell me 24 hrs to change the oil in my motorcycle, when I went for the pick up the job wasn’t done. And they don’t pass me the inspection because “tires and rear brakes are bad” when was in still in good conditions, I will never recommend that place. Trying to charge you with fake repairs and they can’t even do a regular and symple task as a oil change.
Just had my bike engine head completely rebuilt. They put all there best tools to work and got my compression levels back to factory levels again and the bike rides like she did 10 years ago maybe even better with my improved experience with this moto. I got my wings back thank you Cycle therapy.
I got my bike back..... and after 1200 dollars you would expect your bike to run perfect. the bike still not right. So im just going to repair my self. They got good service but thats about it. Got my bike out the shop and rode on the harlem river drive and the bike shuts off. Not good could of got hurt out there.i dont think they check the bikes after they fix them!!!!!!!! They didnt earn my trust so im going to try the bronx instead! Good luck
INSURANCE FRAUD & SO MUCH MOREDo yourself a favor and take your bike to any shop other than Cycle Therapy. My experience started when I was in a minor accident with a cab. I brought it in for an insurance estimate. CT charges 10% of the estimate total as a Deposit. What this Deposit really is is a guarantee that they will get you to spend 100% of your settlement with them. If the estimate is for $1000 they hold $100. The only way you will ever see this deposit is if you send another $900 on the items listed on the estimate. Lets say you dont want to fix a small scratch on a fender but want to use the money for new tires? You are our of luck and they are $100 richer. Now for the INSURANCE FRAUD. As you can see from above, they benefit from a larger estimate. With no more than a visual inspection they will begin running up a tally on your bike. My bike, for example, had a bent foot peg. They used this to claim the entire frame was bent. They ran the estimate up to $5,000 and collected their $500. While my insurance company was willing to pay the $5,000 to salvage the bike I had an emotional connection with the bike and decided to try fixing the foot peg mount first. Well, I did and guess what? The foot peg was strait as an arrow. I came back to Cycle Therapy and asked them to remove the frame from the estimate. They did and issued me another estimate for $1500. I asked for a refund and they said they needed to wait for proof of what the insurance company paid me. So, weeks went by and I finally received my settlement. I gave CT my information and they validated the $1500 payout. Now, I asked them to refund the difference in the estimates (the deposit) which would have come to $350. They then claimed the frame was still bent. When I asked them to prove it they said they could see it through a visual inspection. Now they were holding my deposit hostage and coming up with any reason they could not to pay me. So, I asked them to get the specs from Triumph and compare- to truly verify. Well, they could not locate the specs and could not prove the frame was bent. They still insisted that it was bent so they could keep my money.$350 is not the point here. I have been to the shop over 5 times and wasted so much of my time in frustration. I would be happy if they were to donate the $350 to a charity- but they dont deserve it and have been horrible and shady to work with.I will submit another posting on their other shady business practices. I just wanted to get this post up to warn you guys- you can find a better shop out there. There are plenty of reputable places. Take the time to find one- this isnt it.best of luck and ride safe!
I have owned my 82 CB750SC for about a year a and half. Bought it used, and bikes of that vintage will always have problems, but I was able to take care of a lot of the issues myself. I was on my way to work one day when I the seal on my fork flew off, and I started getting hit in the leg with suspension fluid, this all occurring 5 days before I was supposed to take a long trip with my father for his birthday.Took the bike in, Chris gave it a once over and told me it would take 3-4 days. Cutting it close, but as long as I had it for the trip I figured I would be good. They called me the next day and told me that my fork assembly was actually missing a retaining washer (from a previous owners botched job, Im sure) and that they would try to source the part but it might be a delay. I told them to go ahead, because I would rather get it done right the first time than just do a band-aid fix. They called me back 3 hours later and told me it was done, and that they also managed to find and replace my busted speedo/odo gear which 4 other shops were unable to source. These guys are awesome.
Bought a helmet from them today (Seven Sins Speed and Strength)... just got home and googled it, and they offered me the same price in the store as is offered on discount on Amazon. In fact, I would have paid more on Amazon after shipping. They gave me a discount on it in the store. Good guys. Could have charged me more, and I never would have known until later. Definitely going to service my bike here.
These guys are not thorough in their work - I completely regret bringing my bike here - needless to say after 3 weeks and over $1400 I left out with the EXACT same problem it went in for. I completely regret paying cash as i would have disputed the charges to my credit card company. I am very much against this place. If you do go - DONT pay cash - and be prepared to have all work evaluated again !
Very friendly staff. Passionate about motorcycles. Do a good job communicating. Have had a couple of oil changes, a tune up, and a few parts ordered. Good shop, but not cheap. I am from Minneapolis however, so perhaps all NYC shops are this pricey. I would recommend them to you if you were my friend.
These guys dont understand a thing about customer service. They had my bike for almost 1 month for a simple clutch job. During that time there was 0 communication from their part. I had to keep calling to find out what was going on with my bike and every time i got nothing but vague answers. If you want a service shop that is transparent, keeps you informed, and will try to make things right when something goes wrong, this shop IS NOT IT.
There costumer service is great. They walk you through, step by step about the motorcycle your looking for . They tell you the pro and cons of the motorcycles your looking to buy and they have everything you may need . If not they will order it for you . Had a great experience.
I went to cycle therapy to buy a scooter, they care about me as a family. They help me for the price, they help me for insurence, they help for everything. They don’t have to do that but they did because They believe that every customer is a member of family, I came from a different country and my name us Enes and trusting somebody is difficult in different country. , But I trust them, they make me feel confortable. They are the best in NY. Be sure!! I bought my scooter and I found different parts of bike. You can find what you want go there and shop what you want!!!
Avoid this place like the plague!!!!!!Doesnt matter that its really out of the way and that it took me forever to get there. I failed an inspection at this place for a limited class type motorcycle that goes like 20mph. Its literally a bicycle with a tiny motor. That bike is in perfect running condition and the only problem with it is that its old. Mind you i have a Cannondale bicycle that rides faster then that moped.I am giving this business a bad review because people need to be warned about how much of a sticklers they really are. They are more uptight then the government which allows me to ride this bike without inspection because it is not required. I run businesses and i know that if they are like that with a small issue like this they are like that with everything. I know a pattern when i see one because its my job... They are most likely: overprices, not honoring return policy, not coming towards the customers about most issues the customer faces. I read the other bad review too and it makes sense...Thank you for wasting my valueble time. I truly hope you you go out of business. I failed an inpection because i didnt want to get my bike repaired at their shop...
Just got my honda nc 700 back after about a week, the experience at cycle therapy was just awsome. The atmosphere is that of a caring family. Not only was I updated constantly by the staff on the status of my bike, I was also given lots of free advice on maintenance and care. Im glad I found this gem in harlem. My new exhaust is awsome my frame sliders are unique and Im 100% happy with the outcome. They took very good care of my bike and for that Im a loyal customer. God bless cycle therapy and no place else.
Im pretty sure this place is a front to launder money. Do not rely on this place for any professional service or assistance as I did not feel safe riding after my bike left their facility. This place has ill informed goons hanging out and store owners that are willing to overcharge for basic maintenance. Listen to the general reviews (along with this one) and save yourself the time, energy and frustration when dealing with these criminals. I hate this place and their entire staff and it frustrates me to see people like this actually in business.
Some guy had knocked my bike on its side a few days ago, breaking the front brake lever. So I called Cycle Therapy, described them what happened, and Chris told me to come in any time I would like. I went there about an hour later, Chris looked the part number up, and changed the lever in 5 minutes. I know it sounds silly for such a little thing, but they only charged me for the part!I liked the service so much that I met the owner, whose name I cant recall right now, and he came out to see my bike, gave me some tips about the possible issues that might occur in the future. Its a small shop, but dont let that fool you. They do possibly anything youd need for a bike repair/customization. Im going back there to get my bike customized very soon! Thanks guys!
Terrible experience with this place! These guy are crooks.I recently brought my bike to cycle therapy to have the stator replaced because my gsxer wouldnt start, that being the only problem may I add. I then get a call from someone in the shop to tell me they had bad news for me. My oil pan was cracked and oil was leaking from the bottom of the bike. Mind you, the bike was brought in with no leaks, just the stator issue. They then tell me that whom ever did my last oil change put on three washers with the oil pan plug and that might of been stopping the pan from leaking. Again, they were the last shop that I brought my bike to have an oil change and they did the last repairs on my bike since I got the bike last year. So now they want an additional $750, to replace the oil pan, from they already 900 (OEM stator) bucks that I owe them for replacing the stator. To avoid losing my cool i decided to pay for the repairs and get my bike out of there ASAP. So after two weeks I get a call and Im told that my bike is finally ready. The service guy then tells me that the following was replaced: the oil was changed, the stator, and a new oil pan was installed. So I ride my bike out of that place with thoughts of never doing business with them again. Two days later, after pulling from the curb on by bike, I start to feel my rear tire swaying from side to side when I pressed the rear brake and the bike would not stop. I then notice oil leaking from the bottom of the bike and my rear tire has now lost all traction due to the heavy oil leak. Finally Im able to pull over and the stop the bike. The only reason I didnt go down was because I kept my cool, and I did not press the rear brakes further. Fortunate for me, there werent any other cars in front or behind me. Im extremely luck that I wasnt on a highway going at fast speeds. With that said, be very careful when taking your bike in for repairs at cycle therapy. I would avoid them at all cost!
Didnt know this shop existed until a friend who has and rides a motorcycle asked me to go along with them to the shop. Very clean, spacious and has a beautiful selection ofjackets, helmets, gloves etc to choose from. Didnt get a chance to see the show room but Im sure its nice too. The sales person ( didnt catch his name sorry) was very knowledgeable abt the part my friend needed and also gave some valuable tips. So if ur in Harlem and need parts and/or accessories for ur bike this is ur place.
My advice: stay away. Ive had to sue them to get repairs done properly (read that as fixed) and even then theyve refused to replace new equipment they supplied and installed after it stopped working within 6 months of low mileage riding. Id sue them again but its hardly worth my time. A lesson learned by me.
After experiencing difficulties trying to get parts out of an American distributor I chanced upon Cycle Therapy in the listings for USA dealers and within a few quick emails I found Lorenzo from Cycle Therapy to be very helpful and within a few weeks had exactly what I needed at my door from the other side of the world! Thanks so much!!
Do not take your bike here, especially if you are a new rider. They will exaggerate problems and try to charge you for service you dont need (for example, they said my bike might not pass inspection because the rear suspension was too soft, could bottom out and lose control and that I would have to buy a $400 shock, and I politely asked them how hardtail motorcycles pass inspection.). Also they put my front tire on without a cotter pin, and then tried to explain to me that it didnt need one.
Great place for expensive motorcycle riding gears. They have a good quantity samples of gears to try for sizing, from helmets to jackets, to boots, and gloves; but all are extremely expensive. Even the electronic gears are expensive. used bike showrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors, very limited selections. No new biks at all. Showroom floors are very compact, prices are a bit high.
Cycle Therapy is a hit or miss, sometimes you get a good deal, sometimes you dont, it is a business after all. Amit is a really nice guy, whose always willing to work with you, hes just busy all the time. The mechanics do a good job, sometimes you wait a long time for a seemingly simple fix though. The sales staff is down to earth and isnt pushy or condescending, and they have a very good selection of items you wont find elsewhere. Ive been going here for years and like them, they dont treat me like their doing me a favor, when im spending my hard earned money there.
Huge shootout to my buddies at Cycle Therapy. I took my well ridden CBR600rr in to get mounted with some new tires and boy did they do a great job. I had new tires and break pads mounted in one day and got my bike back later the same day. Now its two days and 350 miles later and boy does this bike feel great! Cant wait for my next excuse to come in!
They never have the parts to fix anything even before covid 19. Also now because of covid 19 the rate at which they fix bikes is so terrible that you could just work and save enough money to buy a whole new new bike for at least $10,000 and cycle therapy still wouldnt have fixed your bike.
I went to buy a bike on 4/1/2017 and was told I could not hear the bike until I paid for it, so I offered him $5,000 for a bike I could not hear,he declined, maybe it is for the best, I would have hated to have to extract my money from him. They get one star for being open.4/21/2017 in response to you,You are a liar!! You told me exactly what I stated!!,careful you are pissing off!!
Place is a rip off however the guy Chris is nice and an asset to the store. When you go you will here a very friendly syaff you leave your bije then you hear Oh this is empty or broken and it will cost this mucj to fix on top of what you were quoted already. The crazy part is you know it didnt need it. I would say take pictures of your bike because they will rip you off.
Went in months ago with my chain visibly showing rust and how dirty it was. So i went for common chain maintenance also looking to tighten it up a bit. And it was around 70$. Paid them and left, cool. So like a month afterwards i notice man my chain is rusty, how could it be? And i call them up and explain to them the situation and how i went to them for the maintenance, and some guy said oh well it all depends on how u ride and stuff. And i was like ok cool. So acting on what i saw and how my chain looked, i said im going to do it myself. Save a money like that. I bought some chain degreaser and chain lube on amazon for motorcycles and did my own maintenance on it, WITH A COMMON TOOTHBRUSH. and kid you not after that time i did my own work to my chain MONTHS went by and still no visible orange rust. Its funny how places like this could rip u off and u do your own work and you do a better job then them.
They dont even deserve a single star. Zero to none. Stars would be best. Customer service sucks you call and ask if they have a part in stock and all they have to say is a straight up no. Their service is so much expensive than down town shops go f**k yourselves guys!
Well they took my bike in and gave it back the same way seemed worse actually. so i had to get a tow from some guy andrew towing because the guys he wanted a lot of money so andrew towing was half that.I took it to a shop in Brooklyn. Thats when it was ok again to ride.
Horrible told me it was going to be done in a couple of days which turned into weeks then when I get my bike back no gas inside...then when I put gas inside it started leaking from the bottom all the oil and gas I put in. Will never do business with shop ever again and will never recommend and then charges me over a thousand at that to fix...Ace your a rip off will write a ripoff report as well.

2021-02-12I was in the market for a second bike and Cycle Therapy had the BMW F800R I had been looking around for. From the very first conversation I had with Ace, he was very polite and transparent about every detail involved if I were to purchase the bike from them. He was patient and answered all my questions and I appreciated that he was also direct and honest when he couldnt answer them. I had no prior experience dealing with Cycle Therapy and am happy to report that Ace honored the price that was advertised, with no B.S. and no sales pitch. The shop has many current up to date gear and models of helmets. I was super happy to get a brand new white Icon Airflite helmet that I had been eyeing for a while, to match the bike. I was surprised that the prices were as amazing as the lowest prices I had seen online. As for the vibe of the place, Chris, the service manager is a cool dude and I enjoyed chopping it up with him about bikes and food. Marcos is a wonderful and attentive sales associate who kept in communication about the face shield I had ordered. Overall, I would definitely recommend this shop and plan to return for more gear as the riding season gets closer.

2022-06-22Avoid buying their locks and chains!!!! I guess the place is ok. But be careful what you purchase, some stuff are priced normally and others are like 60-75% more expensive than anywhere else, ended up feeling ripped off of $80-100 on one of these. If you cant sell something at a decent price dont sell it or at least be more transparent about it.ANSWER TO ANSWER :no I did not check the price before buying, though I should have, your other prices seemed ok so I did not expect that there would be such a difference.I realized it when it was too late, then I came back another day to ask if it was an error and from what I understood you are basically getting ripped off by your provider so transfer that cost to your costumer. I just think its not a good practice.

2021-04-27These guys are just the real deal.Ive come to them a few times now with my finicky used Tomos for tire repair and general maintenance. They always give great service at prices that are fair and honest, for which obviously mechanics dont always have great reputations. My service has always been done swiftly and effectively. But thats not why Im writing a review. Im writing a review because these are truly good people who love their work. They genuinely must love what they do or they wouldnt ALWAYS be so respectful, patient and direct. Ive seen customers be super weird or outright rude, and my guys at Cycle Therapy are STILL above decent and unchanged. Theyre too dedicated. The only thing I could even imagine someone complaining about is that if youre dropping off or picking up something for service you may have to wait on line a few minutes. Well guess what, its a small team and theyre committed to good work and to everyone on two wheels- WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD PAL.What speaks more than I ever could is just watching the clientele at Cycle Therapy. Anyone in there for enough time to spend money exits feeling better, its honestly miraculous to watch.Go there- fix your bike, buy something, talk to Chris, whatever. Just know these guys are on your side.

2021-11-02I DON’T RECOMMEND!!!Not honest & upfront about how long it will take to diagnose/fix. Charged me 3 hours of labor to replace the Engine coil plus oil change kept the bike for almost 2 weeks. Absolutely unnecessary technique to overcharge.👎

2020-05-18I can not recommend these guys enough. Firstly, they are incredibly honest and straightforward, no BS or pressure. Secondly, the are extremely helpful & knowledgeable. It doesn’t hurt that they have super competitive pricing to boot. I’m a fan.
