THEY ARE A SUPER COMPANY: Ive had a hard time trying to get someone to cut down some huge branches from the tree in my back yard. Id get an estimate and set up an appointment but they never showed up. Four tree services did this to me. I told my neighbor about my problem and they highly recommended D&L. I called them up and they came over and gave me a very reasonable estimate. We set up and appointment, and to my surprise, they arrived right on time. Their crew was very nice and friendly and professional. They worked very hard and never took a break from the hot sun. They sure sweat a lot. In a little over an hour, they had completed the job. Then they spend at least another hour hauling all the branches to the front to put it in the chipper. Then they raked all the fallen leaves from the lawn and put them in their truck. They then blew all the saw dust into a pile and shoveled it into a garbage can and dumped it into their truck. When they left, my yard looked brand new. I am a very happy customer due to the great service I received from the work crew of D&L Tree Service. I wish I could rate them 10 stars. I would highly recommend D&L Tree Service for removal and tree maintenance. I was incredibly impressed with how quickly they responded. Also, their prices are very competitive. When they removed two trees from our yard, they left the space in pristine condition! We couldnt have been happier.
D&L worked on my property in West Glenville on April 28, 2018. They did a massive amount of work in five hours. The workers were polite, diligent and careful. All the debris was cleaned up meticulously. The price was very fair. Great job and thanks!!!
D&L removed 3 large oak trees 2 in the backyard and 1 in the front in east glenville. They were very fair on the price given to me compared to other quotes i received. They showed up on a very cold day and got the job done in a timely manner. They had alot of obsticles to work around such as the house, power lines and a fence. They seemed to all work together to be as careful as possible. I scheduled this work 4 months in advance not knowing what the winter would bring. They came the day before and cleared all the snow with a machine to get to these trees. They worked through single digit weather and still did a great job. They cleaned up very well when they were done there were no sticks or branches left behind. I would recommend them to anyone who needs tree work done. Thanks again

We had a tree removed in our front yard. D&L cut half the tree down on the first day and then was supposed to come back 2 days later to cut down the rest and grind the stump. It took them 7 months to finally come and finish the work. We had called and left countless voice mails with no answers or call backs.
The yard is normally very wet in spring and they were prepared for and left conditions in great shape after the removal. Arrived as promised and made quick work on this old and leaning dead tree.
D&L did a great job cutting down the massive oak trees in our yard. They were well organized and did great with clean up as well. Their prices were very competitive and appropriate for the work they did. Highly recommend this company
We needed a tree trimming. Doug came within 2-3 weeks, when they were fully booked. The price was very reasonable. There was a miscommunication of what we wanted. He came back the next day to figure it out. Within a few days it was taken care of. He is a man of his word and makes sure the customer is happy which, nowadays is hard to come by.
Had D& L Out to my home recently to clear numerous trees on property. It was an ugly undertaking as two of the trees were completely enveloped in vines. However, the D&L Crew did such precise and awesome work it is unreal to watch these guys do what they do. At the end of the day, the job was done and yard cleaned up completely exceeding my expectations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! Whats a GREAT CREW!!
D&L took down 3 locust trees and removed stumps. Crew works very well together . Cleaned up all debri . Price was fair. Would use them again.
They were excellent they cleaned up after they were done the ground the trees there was not a mess in sight after they left. The only regret I have is that they pulled their heavy truck onto my lawn and it did indent other than that the work was excellent
Not trust worthy. Suppose to drop 2 trees by using rope and the kid tried to drop the 80ft Oak tree in the woods. Tree fell backwards, he hit the shed and took out 2 pines and damaged the rhododendrum. Also left the tree remains that were suppose to go into the woods in my backyard.Brian the owner came by and said he would fix the damage to the shed, replant the trees that were destroyed, and move the tree debris into the woods. I was to supple the shingles for the shed.Now 5 weeks later, no sign of repairs.Called the office multiple times and they say they are too busy quoting jobs to fix my damage or the weather has put us behind.I have asked Doreen for a full refund so I can hire a trust worthy company to finish the job they screwed up.Brian (Glenville, NY)
Very unprofessional crews. Ny ppe while job is active. No flagger while they are loading log truck in the middle of the road with oncoming traffic. Other crew members wondering around not paying attention. If you do hire them make sure they have good insurance.
We hired them in Guilderland to cut medium and large size branches off of several high trees in the front lawn. They did everything as promised (checking in during the job to make sure they removed what we wanted). When the job was finished, they not only removed all branches (as expected), but also left driveway and lawn immaculate after raking. Well definitely use them again.

Very happy with D&Ls work ethic. They disposed of a hugh fallen mulberry for me in three days and left the area without a trace of debris. Couldnt ask for a better job.
I have no problem with people doing their job but when they feel a sense of entitlement to put their heavy machinery in your driveway without asking and then you call them out on it and they lie and then cop an attitude with you I do have a problem! Husband just cleaned the driveway off yesterday and Im told by a little twit that I should be happy that theyre cleaning my driveway of the mess THEY made!! Really???? We cleaned it yesterday and YOU dirtied it - BIG time - so thats what youre supposed to do!!!!!

2022-05-04D&L is an incredible tree removal service. They are well booked, so it will be several months before they can actually do the work but its worth the wait. They were on time, fast yet very careful of my property and especially my wifes plants and garden. Their clean up was also fast and impeccable. Highly recommend and Ill be calling them back in a couple of years to take down done more monster trees over 50 tall.

2022-03-29This is a formal complaint against D and L tree company and one of their employees.During work they did, one of their employees wandered into the fenced in, enclosed area of my property. My dogs going crazy alerted my spouse, who looked out the window and saw the individual- who pulled their pants down and started to pee outside our back door. My spouse could clearly see that persons private parts and confronted the person immediately, commanding him to leave.First, that person was trespassing. Second: in New York, that is indecent exposure.My spouse and I have young children. If my children had seen that guy, he would have had a very bad day.If me and my spouse had chosen to involve local police and call them in, the D and L employee would have been arrested and charged with the misdemeanors of trespassing and indecent exposure towards a minor. At the very least, the individual would have been ticketed for violations.To my surprise: when this incident was reported to someone claiming to be the manager of the project, the offending person was allowed to continue working the project as if nothing happened.Customers- especially those that have children- beware of this company and the offending individual!!

2018-03-11Total morons. Left an 80 foot silver maple with a 30+ inch hump on the back side and had a hell of a lean.Had talked my landlord in to just trimming dead limbs out of tree. Well the entire tree fell a year and a half later destroying my truck. Bunch of idiots Im not an expert but had EVERY SIGN THAT IT SHOULD OF COME DOWN!! The entire tree is bone dry too.. nah just leave it though! See you in court! Cant believe that nobody was killed.

2021-06-26D and L removed approximately 13 mature hardwoods, over 20 small trees/shrubs and ground all the stumps. They showed up on time for both the quote and the service. I was amazed at how clean they left the property and how well they treated the lawn and other foliage which stayed. All the earth was leveled out and couldn’t tell there was once a tree. Pricing was very reasonable. It did take close to 6 months for them to start the work, but it was worth the wait. I would definitely recommend and will be using them if I need tree service again.

2021-05-13This is the second time we’ve used this company. They beat any competitors price by a landslide. Most recently we had a complicated 90’ pine tree that was next to the house and power lines. They arrived and finished with cleanup in under 2hrs. My yard was raked and wood chips removed. I would highly recommend this company.

2021-07-10Second time I have used them. The first time was after an icestorm and we had major limb damage. They did an absolutely fantastic job.This time I had a tree that needed to be removed. A smaller job, I contracted with them on April 26 letting them know I was having new fence put in within the next 6 weeks. I was told no problem and heard nothing from them. I called at the 5 week marker and it was as if they lost the estimate, I had not been scheduled and was then put on the schedule for June 25. They came in opened up part of my old fence, took the tree and 2 limbs down doing nice work. However, they left the logs in my back yard and my fence open (I have a dog) what is really annoying is that they did not communicate to my wife that they were leaving and why, they just left. They never called, I had to call back, talked to Taylor who did a great job trying to find answers for me. I was promised removal of the logs the next day, it didnt happen, I kept calling, I asked for removal by the end of the weekend so the new fence could be put up Monday, they came late Saturday night moved the logs to the front yard, never closed the old fence and the employee who came blamed the whole thing on faulty equipment and the newness of Taylor working in the office. Monday night the logs were removed...... who starts a job, does not complete it, they left by 3pm, does not even complete it the next day and does not communicate. Very disappointing! Thank you Taylor for trying!So we had an enormous silver maple on the side of our house that hung over my house and my neighbors. Over the past 20 years we have had it topped, limbed etc in an effort to keep it safe. It has lost limbs in ice storms the size of small trees etc damaged my yard, some fences but never the house. D@l had done great work on it in the past, after my last review I hesitated to use them again however my neighbor convinced me to try them again so we could join forces and have the tree removed. I reluctantly agreed and would like to say Brian and his team did an absolutely fantastic job! It was rough but they made it look easy. They take great care to ensure safety of our property, showed fantastic workmanship and professionalism and the cleanup was spot on. The D@l I remember. Thanks guys! Well done!! 5 Stars all the way!!
