I cant say enough positive things about D is for Doggy! Our dog, Ralphie, has been going to daycare here for over a year and it is his FAVORITE place ever. The staff is amazing and they treat every dog as if they were their own. Ralphie never wants to leave - its like doggy Disneyland (they even decorate for Halloween, Christmas, etc.!). Weve left Ralphie overnight here for both weekend trips and 2-week vacations, and every time has been a success. He has separation anxiety, so boarding at D is for Doggy is perfect because hes never left alone and never put in a crate. The staff is fantastic with following with specific food and medication instructions.Ralphie also gets groomed here and Jesus does an amazing job. He is so sweet and patient with dogs who hate getting groomed.Ive referred many other dog owners to D is for Doggy, so I felt it was high time I leave a review. Run your dog here ASAP!

Wow! That is all I can say...I have been to the 6th ave location(waiting for the uws location,my neighborhood,to open since i got Lucy), which was great for my Pup. I took her there at 10 weeks old from her first training class to her first puppy cut. Now at 5 months old and a 6 day trip planned i had to board her...Scared ****less i left her there and could not be happier. The staff, just like the other locations were awesome! I got tons of photos(see below) sent to me, checked her out on the web cam when i was gone, saw her reach celebrity status on their fb page lol. Highly recommend!

A few boarding pros and cons below:Pros:1. The surveillance camera they have is useful so you can occasionally see what your pup is up to.2. Newer bigger location and relatively cleaner.3. They feed your dog 3 times a day at said time. They either use your own food or theirs.4. Dog comes home smelling good!Cons:1. Our dog was boarding for 3 days and I saw him being uncomfortable from coughing through the surveillance camera (from body language; they dont have audio). I wish the people here told me when I called to ask! They said he was fine when I asked. When we picked him up, his infection was so bad that he was leaking green snot and coughing terribly. His vet said he caught Kennel Cough here. This is awful. One, because our dog needed medication and attention. Two, because he potentially could have infected other dogs. Three, they didnt notice the other sick dog that gave him the infection.2. You have no idea if your dogs being walked 3-4 times a day or not. There will be no communication so youre left to wonder.3. No photos or updates are given to you while they board.4. Too many dogs in one room (see photo).5. They all poop and pee everywhere and one day, I had the camera on watching and someone came to clean 3 poops and 2 pees after almost 20 minutes. I know Im watching sneakily but I started to watch only because I noticed them not cleaning often enough.6. Too pricey for services offered under boarding which is minimal (only feeding and said walking. No photo or general updates).

Yea the owner is nice but they hit the dogs off cameras tho unless they like your dog then they good..the employees they had there wasnt .good for business

I honestly dont know what Id do without D is for Doggy on the Upper West Side on Amsterdam Ave. This is my dog, Phineass, second home. They treat him like hes their son. They take such exceptional care of him and have been an absolute godsend. Im so incredibly grateful to them for all they do. Special shouts to managers Kelly (Nicole) and Alissa for all they do to run this branch of the business. The whole team is just amazing. Best place Ive ever had carer for my dog.

It was so great when they opened up to big dogs in the upper west side! Love this place. The staff is very friendly and quick to respond, and the cameras are very useful for boarding so you can watch your pup when you’re away and maybe miss them. They’ve sent me photos before and I really appreciate the extra effort. My two dogs always look very happy when they spend time there and come home smelling great! Definitely recommend.

Lots of space for my dog to run around and play. This has been a life saver for our family. My dog loves coming to see her friends at D is for Doggy on Amsterdam!
