Absolutely beautiful and very relaxing
There is a new cafe there - The Peace Garden Cafe. Its heaven for vegans, but also vegetarians. Has delightful ice cream, smoothies, healthy drinks, coffee etc. Also delicious food. Must try their burger. All is very yummy. 😊
A hidden gem within the East Side of New York Manhattan open public area with casual bench seating and a beautiful view of the United Nations If you walk along the park youll catch casual goers That may be either playing their instruments or painting or spending time with their families the statues are also quite interesting and a pleasure to see With a few trees and planters scattered around around The park has a feel Of nature
Nice place for lunch or a cup of coffee (when the coffee shop is open) or just to dangle your feet. Or on Wednesday to shop at the small farmers market.
A very nice park in an area that lacks greenspace, Dag Hammerskold Plaza would benefit from protecting the new trees planted in the last few years. Many inconsiderate people allow their dogs to pee and poop on the trees and walk on the tree pits. Both of these activities cause the soil to degrade and compress which is the leading cause of young trees death. Can we not get metal fences around the trees? Signs that say curb your dog?

Theres a Farmers market here every Wednesday! Really nice area in close proximity to the United Nations and some great resturants.
This is a great place to sit down and chat with a friend, have a cup of coffee, get some fresh air, excercise, watch the people go by, etc. It is peaceful and beautiful. Stop by and unwind and relieve your stress.

Never, for the sake of peace and quiet, deny your own convictions or experiences. -Dag Hammarskjold. The nearby park is peaceful, and the bronze snapping turtle fountain is cool, though not of the enormous girth from the dark tower novels.
This park is a lively one, i like to sit near the fountain and watch the people from all around the world go by. Some days there are markets in the plaza. Get some apples.

Great complex and building, mostly the Missions of Nordic countries. Easy to reach from the 2nd avenue and the security officers are polite and friendly

Guards are extremely rude!!! Gentleman named Jimmy even refused to tell me on which floor is specific room located. I thought these gentleman are there to help.

2021-12-14We went running for a church purpose (Virgen de Guadalupe birthday) we do it every year on Dec. 12 the view is always beautiful on a regular day.

2022-03-31Its not much of a park as its mostly paved and has a barren look and feel. It does offer benches but nothing else to make it a destination. A bit sad looking.

2021-08-14This is a small market but still has a good selection of most things expected. I have been going for the Francesca baked goods (superb) but have been seduced by very good looking fruits and veggies. Once youre done, relax on the park benches and maybe have a coffee with some of your baked goods. Happy nibbling
