Three experiences at The Dancing Cat have ensured my return. The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff relaxing and helpful and the food very good for my simple taste and interesting for my more adventurous companions. On one of those occasions the chef, Ian, went out of his way several times to satisfy my husband’s request. We appreciate his efforts and the resulting meal.
Have past by here multiple times on way to our Lake house in the PA mountains. Our niece and her husband were up for the weekend and they were heading back but stopping for lunch before continuing home as well as try a small sampling of distillery products. We decided to join them and try out the location.Somewhat crowded parking lot thought would be packed in the restaurant, we were rather quickly seated.on the deck outside, we were offered inside or outside. Seated and water served within a few minutes, menus given and within 15 minutes drink orders were delivered and our meal orders taken. Very nice pace! Not NYC fast but not down south slow either! If in a rush state so or better yet don’t stop in come another day and enjoy your meal! The food listings were a decent varied selection. Prices are not cheap a little high but reasonable for the area!We started with BBQ Chicken wings, crispy chicken coated in BBQ Sauce, very good! I had Fried Chicken and fries (Yes I know lot of fried foods but really wanted to try) and chicken looked over cooked and just short of burnt! We’ll bite into chicken, and was crispy, evenly done, juicy not greasy and great! Spot on !!!! Fries, crispy on outside soft and tender inside! Score!!!!My wife and nephew each had The fish dinner and it was very good! My niece had the pulled pork dinner and was really very good! We all shared a large bowl of Chili con Carne that had the purple rice on top very deceiving but also very good!Over all a great meal, great service, very friendly staff and the worst part of the visit was nothing!!!! It was good and above on all counts! We went over to the distillery after “Linner” and we all four shared an 8 flight sampler. Service was relaxed and laid back, not pushing bottles or drinks! But provided service when requested or required! We found two bottles that we (Nephew and myself) really loved and bought a couple of bottles to enjoy when up at the house or company comes over to relax by the fireplace after dinner or sitting looking at the lakeside and valleys around! The restaurant is under new ownership and please have some patience and understanding! Be polite, kind and smile! It will be returned in service and quality! A must stop by to try if nearby!!! Please give time to sit, enjoy and relax! You will be happy you did! We will be going back and bringing more family and friends to enjoy!!
What a great place!! Our friends played there the Maverick Soul Band, love them. They told us about this place and that we would love it. They were right, the vibe, music and food were beyond great! We had dinner and the next day brunch there, scrumptious!Music at the Distillery right next door was great! We will be back!!
Ordered a full rack of ribs for $30, they were so badly burned I could barely chew through it. The meat was mostly as dry and as tough as jerky. The black charcoal side was served down on the plate.. (The cook should have known better than to serve THAT). When I told the server she said oh, sorry about that and picked up my plate piled with inedible charcoal covered ribs. The French fries were fantastic.
Food was amazing and extremely tasteful. Came in to see Chris Stapleton and found this place close by Bethel Woods. Was blown away by the flavors in every bite. When I first saw they only had a buffet I was a little disappointed because I had something in my head but boy was I in for a surprise. The fried chicken was close too, if not the best Ive ever had. The roasted corn was amazing. Pulled pork had an incredible flavor as well.
Best Ribeye in the country!! The chef is so creative with the sides, I was blown away!!! And the calamari??!! Most tender and flavorful I have EVER had. The homemade pesto is to die for!!! The staff is amazing, so kind and caring... Like family. Id give it more than 5 stars if I could!!! Love you guys!!!
I recently stayed at Happy Days Campground (best place to stay in area) just up the street, and was directed to The Dancing Cat. The food was excellent, the beer COLD, and the tasters from the accompanying distillery were great. Our waitress was wonderful and extremely helpful! She gave us suggestions and directions to other local attractions. Prices reasonable and atmosphere delightful. We were there on a fall day and sat outside.
I was rather disappointed with this venue as it was convenient to Bethel Woods where we saw a concert. You cannot order off the menu when there is a concert and they have a pretty limited Buffet have some very unappetizing food such as a fried chicken that was all dried up for $25 a head. We ended up just having a beer and heading over to a local cafe.
If u go there for dinner, plan on staying for breakfast too. Service was so slow. We waited a half an hour before anyone came over to our table. Then another half for her to bring us water and take our order. It took another hour before was got our meals. The food was mediocre to say the least. Very small portions and not very good at all. Needless to say we will not go back there again.
I arrived with my friends at about 11:00am hungry for pancakes we sit down in the EMPTY restaurant and ordered all together we also ordered drinks. Me and my friends ordered pancakes and my other friend ordered a price of toast and one egg. As we’re sitting observing the scenery it’s about a half hour now and we still didn’t get food I notice more people are walking in but im reassuring myself we are sure to eat food. But then it’s been an hour and a half now and still no food wait staff was terrible and didn’t even bring drinks till a while after we asked about our food but waiter was unsure and messed up our tabs saying it goes in order but clearly that was incorrect considering everyone after us ate and left. Then the owner finally came out with a very arrogant attitude toward my friends parents and didn’t even apologize for the food wait time he quickly said get them their food and check. No waiters apologized this is flat out terrible. Then a couple mins later FINALLY i see a box come out of the kitchen with my so called pancakes. inside the box was 2 burnt pancakes easily mistaken for coal that’s it no napkin no sides just a cardboard box and burnt pancakes. We got up and left this was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Still hungry and very annoyed. I don’t reccomend anyone come here for any meal unless you like to be dissapointed. I would give 0 stars if it lets you do that. 😭😭
Nice place great staff, the food is over priced for the quality . chef does not understand difference between rare and raw. For a $ 28 steak to be cooked so poorly then i had to ask for my side of veggies that never arrived with steak, and they were ice cold.....seems like could be potential, but with so many other wonderful eateries locally, i will not be going back or recommending anytime soon
This place was horrible....Although most of the people I was with are familiar with the area, we had not been through there for some time. While riding through on our motorcycles we came upon the Dancing Cat and decided to stop in for lunch. Trying to place an order, it seemed like they were out of just about everything except wings and burgers. They even had to check to see if they could fill ONE order for Calimari. Oh, and they had no American cheese for the damned burger. It gets better, the family next to us got so disgusted by being told they were out of pancakes and everything else that they tried to order that they just got up and left. PANCAKES!!!!!!! You can even pull off friggin PANCAKES??????.
I took the gang out here for some grub. Travis was sick so he had to stay home. Monty came and wore his sandals and looked like a Roman. Dante got into a verbal war with Sally on the ride over. Peggy was pretty quiet all night and Steve took one on the chin. We all laughed and giggled like Portuguese plumbers. I had to split the bill with Dante. We left a generous tip.
Would not reccomend, my family and I waited over an hour and a half for our food while tables around us that came after us received their food before us. The owner was very arrogant and rude and did not accommodate us as he should have. Waitresses messed up putting in orders and delaying them. Very unsatisfied. Don’t waste your time and money here.

2019-09-10We had our rehearsal dinner at the Dancing Cat Saloon and they exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Jessica and Ian, the owners of the Saloon, were absolutely wonderful. From the moment I reached out about having a dinner at the Saloon, I received an immediate response which was warm and eager to help us throw the best dinner for our family and friends. They also were quick to accommodate our request for a vegetarian dinner, and gave us a sample menu within a day. We booked with them right away as we could tell they were going to be lovely to work with. Well, it couldnt have been a better decision. Jessica and Ian were in constant contact with us, they even arranged for flowers for the night of the dinner with our wedding color theme (the flowers were beautiful) and made sure to play music we loved. We didnt have to think twice about decorating which was a relief with the wedding planning. The Saloon itself has so much charm, our guests were in love! The night of the actual rehearsal, everything went smoothly and perfectly. We felt at home at the Dancing Cat Saloon. Oh, and the food, it was incredible!! Every dish was perfect and our guests ate it all up. The night of our dinner, they even posted a sweet message on their website about our wedding. Honestly, you just dont come by this kind of service. It was A++++We feel so lucky that in years to come we can come back and support Jessica and Ian at the Dancing Cat Saloon and relive our incredible rehearsal dinner.

2019-07-17The food was pretty good and the service friendly but it took nearly 45 minutes to get our food. We ordered a salad and 2 of their toasts. A couple other parties who arrived after us received their food long before we did.

2019-09-19Serendipity... stumbled on this place while on vacation and loved it, my wife had the Red Snapper and I had the Rib Eye, both were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Definitely one of the stars of the area.P.S.2 years later... almost to the day... were back... we liked it so much this time we brought 30 clients... Loved it again, food was delicious and everyone did an awesome job.

2018-10-12Only stopped for a quick beer , not a big selection on our visit but the bartender bent over backwards to try to find us an IPA we liked so I would stop by again.

2018-08-20We stopped by this place in our way to Boston from visiting the legendary Woodstock stage in Bethel NY and I was impressed with the attention they gave us at the distillery, they had a great selection of their own local Burbon and beer, I recommend their New England Style IPA is delicious, the restaurant has a great burgers and their staff is friendly and attentive, we brought some their IPA home, I highly recommend this place.

2020-09-06Thank you so much Stacey. Had a beautiful time here tonight with your Latin friends. Beautiful location across from Bethel Woods (home of Woodstock). The Grappa was amazing and the whiskey had great flavor. Stacey the owner has a wonderful voice and is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I will return with friends.
