Danila and Lana are so talented, you really cant go wrong working with them! They have a really good eye and aesthetic—Everything they shoot feels very relaxed and organic, but with a definite cool factor. They have great personalities that compliment each other well, and both made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. They captured really wonderful details too without much direction. We are obsessed with our photos!
Danila and his team were outstanding! We loved his work when we booked him, and still my husband and I couldnt image how he would make us look good since were both a little socially awkward, especially when it comes to PDA. We dont know how to pose for photos, and when we do they definitely dont look natural. But with Danilas help our day honestly didnt feel like a photoshoot, and it shows in our final product. He offered a lot of advice and had great creative suggestions on what we could do and our photos are incredible! We had the videography package along with photography so it was Danila, his wife and two videographers. A magical team that works great together! If I could do it all over again I would hire him again, hes worth every penny!
Danilia and Lana shot both our engagement photos and wedding photos, and we could not be happier with our photos! The photos were absolutely gorgeous and worth the wait. Usually, I dont write reviews, to be honest, this is my first one! I guess this my way to say thank you to Danila, for making the whole process so easy and full of fun.Danila is a professional, gifted, and easy-going photographer. We did an engagement photoshoot with him. We wanted pictures to be casual yet with character. He didnt force us, you know, to do something that isnt US. He was able to capture the moment of real-life. We were relaxed and felt comfortable. Truly amazing! He even taught us little tricks on how to photograph well :) If you are looking for a quality experience, this is your stop!
Danila and Lana are incredible. They turned our wedding into a total work of art—the editorial aesthetic we were really hoping for, especially with our own backgrounds in media and photography. The day went by in such a whirlwind, and when we got our pictures back, we were so thrilled to see the little moments that we were both too busy and insane to remember... thats why you hire professionals like them. To have those moments captured in ways that are meaningful and beautiful, so they arent lost, and so you can relive them exactly as youd hoped. We both consider ourselves extremely camera-shy and non-photogenic, and Danila is just amazing—he made us feel as comfortable as possible, and we couldnt have been more pleased. Danila is incredible. We did an engagement session with him on a blisteringly cold November day in Brooklyn. His charm, humor and personality made us feel like we were just meeting a friend for a cup of coffee (and we did just that - the session started in a coffee shop), and we went from being nervous and rigid to relaxed and happy in a matter of minutes. The shoot lasted over 2 hours, and I am sure he would have spent more time with us if not for my ill-conceived wardrobe choice (skirt in 30 degree weather? yeah no). He was attentive and clear in giving directions, and definitely wasnt shy about trying different shots for unexpected and amazing results.Danila doesnt just photograph, he creates stories with his pictures. His editorial yet natural style exceeded all of our expectations - getting the pictures back was like watching a movie...starring us! We cant wait to see him do his magic for our wedding day!
5 stars! I can not recommend Danila photography enough. I found them on IG when I was looking for a last minute wedding photographer and I loved their aesthetic- the images and the editing. I was a bit nervous since we didn’t really meet with them before the big day (we had a small outdoor minimony), but I shouldn’t have been. Lana was so wonderful to work with- she was easy and laid back. She told us how to pose, where to pose, and when. She also captured some really priceless moments that I am so grateful for. When we got the photos back I loved each one more than the last. The images she captured and the way they were edited were simply beautiful. I am literally crying when I write this because I am so lucky that we found Danila photography for our wedding. They succeeded in capturing a moment beyond my wildest dreams. We found Danila and Lana after thorough research. We truly fell in love with their style of wedding photography - both timeless and unique, they manage to keep the couple’s personality and translate atmosphere into the photos. To connect with Danila was very easy, the communication was always clear and punctual. We spent some time with him over the phone explaining our vision and importance of staying authentic and genuine.Danila, Lana, and Lubov also provided help planning when a good time of day the ceremony should be since we wanted it to be close to sun set. With Central Park in New York City they gave us guidance on when the sun sets, to think about the building height, and to start earlier than we would think instinctually. They were right, we started the day and then the ceremony early and had time for more photos before going to our reception location. They were with us every step of the way.We are grateful that we not only had amazing photographers, but they also made a video of our special moments. and Lubov was our wedding officiant. They were fun to work with, easy going, stylish, and knew how to coordinate a group of people as to avoid any chaos that would have occurred if people strayed on timelines. Lubov was an awesome officiant. It was fun and engaging for our whole group.On the day of they were on-time, met with us in our place, got to know us better within a very short time. They walked with us in our neighborhood street for a First Look. They split up so that both the Bride and Groom had company leading up the ceremony. We had gentle direction, and the special moments all unfolded gracefully with their help.The final pictures and videos we received from them in a quick turn around time and they all nicely depict the beautiful atmosphere we’ve had during our wedding day. We are absolutely satisfied customers and highly recommend working with them.
We found Danila and Lana after a lot of research. Right from the minute we connected with them, the professionalism was visible. They were communicative, extremely detail oriented and prompt with responses.But all this pales in comparison to the work. They were at the wedding and blended in like friends and the videos they created were WOOWWWW!! We were of course expecting great work but they blew us away. We did have some changes but what makes it better is that they didn’t just make those changes but somehow improved it and made it even better. Weve felt well advised during the planning period of our wedding day. My husband and I got married in NYC in 2016 and Danila took our photos as a married couple. 3 Years later, there wasnt even a discussion whos going to be our photographer for our big wedding party. Lana and Danila documented the whole party and ceremony with a BEAUTIFUL video and stunning photos. After we received our photos and videos, we spent 24h watching the videos again and again, scrolling through the photos, laughing and crying (in a good way). Danila and Lana are unbelievably talented and professional. They shot our engagement photos and wedding photos and I could not have asked for a better team. After chatting about what kind of photos we were looking for, they were knowledgable about the areas of the city that would be perfect to naturally achieve those shots, and they captured the perfect moments without feeling forced or staged. Given the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to switch up our plans for a larger wedding in June 2020, and instead chose to elope with a few friends and family while keeping our original date. Danila and Lana were so accommodating to our change in plans, and it was great to have one less thing to stress about! I chose their services because I loved the editorial style of Danilas work, and we were thrilled with our finished photos. My husband and I found it so awkward to be in front of the camera for hours, but Danila and Lana really made magic with what we gave them and we will treasure the memories and look back on these photos for years to come. We could not be happier with our wedding photos from Danila and Lana’s NYC Wedding Photography. They captured every moment of our day so beautifully and we truly feel like we get to relive our amazing day every time we look at our photos. Danila and Lana are also just so fun to work with. We had a unique day - elopement during COVID with a 6 hr photoshoot all around the city at our favorite spots and we felt as though we were just hanging out with two friends all day having fun, which made the day that much more special. If we could play back our day all over again, we would because it was so fabulous. Luckily we will have these amazing pictures to remind us of that day and relive it through the photo journey, so beautifully told through Danila & Lana’s lens.Logistically, everything was also very easy and we never had any issues being in touch with Danila and Lana, whether by email or phone.

Danila was friendly and easy to work with from when I first reached out for a quote. He and Lana did a fantastic job taking the photographs for our wedding, from our time getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception. Danila and Lana gave good directions to unexperienced photo-takers like ourselves, and we were pleased with the photos. They remained professional and courteous even when we had a family medical emergency before the ceremony. Finally, just when I thought everything was settled, and I thought I had backed up my photos on my Google Drive, they disappeared. I reached out to Danila almost 6 months after the wedding, and he immediately re-sent the images without question. Without a doubt, he saved us from every couples worst post-wedding nightmare - losing all your wedding pictures. Danila was very kind and accommodating for us. The weather was pretty bad with sudden showers, but he was able to take photos that we wanted in the city and even gave us a ride on the way! In that short span of time, we were surprised by how many good photos came out. Danila and his team are very talented and it can be easily seen from the photos he takes. As soon as we came across some photos that Danila took at another wedding in Jersey City, we knew this was a match for us. His incredible creative style is unique, his photos and stories are more lively and vivid than other wedding photographers, and we loved it! For us, capturing our relationship with each other as well as our friends was exactly what we were looking for, and Danila became a great fit with our group of friends and family, felt like weve known him forever.On your wedding day, you need to be flexible and find creative solutions to withstand temperamental weather conditions. Picking a venue with the typically gorgeous view of NYC for photos sounds like it you would have an easy background, but then it snows so much on a March day that it completely covers the view. I didnt even have time to panic, Danila was quick to propose a new background which ended up being even more perfect. Danilas photo assistant Katia was also amazing, she was able to help ensure that all the other important family, guests, bridal parties were taken.Danila and Katia also took amazing photos of the small Russian Orthodox Church where we had our ceremony, not easy to follow or capture as there are many moving pieces throughout, and it is at least an hour long.Finally, Danila shared all the photos with us very quickly, including creating a special story, which we have been sharing with our family and friends.Thank you! :)
Danila did an awesome job with our engagement pictures. He had plenty of ideas for scenic spots in NYC, and helped us shoot a variety of natural photos. He made my fiancé and I feel very comfortable with his warm personality. We truly feel like he was invested in giving us the best experience.

We had a great time wandering around the Financial District - Danila made us feel comfortable and ensured we had fun while we did our engagement photo shoot. Danila was one of our favorite vendors. He was on time, showed up with an extra assistant and was a pleasure to be around on our wedding day. He took incredible photos that we will treasure forever. He even stayed a little later than the contracted time to capture our sparkler send off. He printed a few of the group shots and handed them out to our family and bridal party at the wedding. He really went above and beyond to do a phenomenal job and we couldnt be happier with the turnout. One word of advice, be sure to block out extra time if you want a lot of family portraits. Danila will want a considerable amount of time with just bride and groom (rightfully so) and it can be tricky to squeeze in extra portraits as well. His perspective via story telling is unmatched by any other artist weve seen and we feel lucky to have had him capture our special day. The video was unexpected, we had seen some of the photographs which were stunning and when we saw the video it blew us away. Danilas photography is amazing and he truly made our wedding day even more special, it was like being photographed by a friend. We had Danila, Lana and their videography team shoot our wedding (photo and video) on 12/1/18 at the Central Park Boathouse. I cant imagine you could have a better experience with your photographer. I didnt know what to look for when we were deciding who to go with, but when my wife found Danila and Lana she knew she had found the right team! Ill be honest, at first, I didnt know what made Danila and Lana stand out from the rest of the photographers we spoke to, but after seeing their finished product, its as clear as day why chose them! They got every shot we wanted, then took over with their creative minds to make sure we had some epic shots we never could have thought of on our own.Not only were our photos and video perfect, but Danila, Lana, and their team were a pleasure to work with. Danila and his wife were incredible photographers for our wedding in Snug Harbor, Staten Island. They were very creative in their photography style and they truly captured the magic of our entire wedding day and night. I knew immediately that Danila was the perfect fit for our wedding when I saw his magical work online. And that isnt said lightly, as I went through various photographers portfolios, to try to find one that spoke to me. We arranged to meet in person, and his relaxed, care-free energy had me at ease. And then finally, our wedding. Danila and his wife were the perfect fit to our perfect day. They made us feel so special, and the overall time together was so fun and light hearted! We just adored their energy! And then.. most importantly.. the pictures. If you go with Danila, your photos will be.. simply put, perfect. It took my husband and I a long time to go through the pictures, because each one evoked so much emotion. And thats where the magic is found in Danilas work. He captures emotion. She also brought us to great spots in Tribeca for additional scenes. She definitely has a creative eye and we were very pleased with the final product. Our favorites were the shots of us in motion - very candid-looking and well-shot. They were also able to expedite our photos (at our request, faster than expected) in less than week!

I hired Danila and a second shooter (his beautiful and talented wife Lana) for my wedding in Philadelphia, PA. After searching tirelessly for a photographer in the Philly area, I decided to open my searches to NY and NJ and found Danila. I sent his page to my brother in law who is a very talented photographer and he was instantly drawn to Danilas talent and eye for photos. I emailed him that night and he got back to me within 10 minutes! He is so fun and truly has such a passion and energy for life in general which I think is why he is an amazing photographer. We talked on the phone the next day for almost an hour all about my fiance and I and I knew he was caring and the perfect fit for us. He was so easy to work with and supportive! Him and his wife came to my airbnb to take photos and had so many fun and creative ideas for photos around the neighborhood! They were patient and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. They were open to all my ideas but also shared their opinions and they are truly such a great team! I must also add that they were patient during one of the hottest days in Philly ever!! If you are thinking about what type of person you would want to take photos and be around you basically all day on your wedding-look no further! Danila is hilarious, fun, honest, and a true talent! It was very difficult to find the right words for the review, because we almost fell in love with every frame captured by Danila! I never thought that two, not photogenic people in photos can look so cool, natural, relaxed and at the same time remain themselves. 2022-01-07I am OBSESSED with our photos (both wedding & portrait shoot).I found Danila online through another couple that had been married at our venue (The Foundry LIC). I loved the editorial and romantic style. I was a little hesitant because I love a good first-hand recommendation but couldn’t compare his photos to any other wedding photographer. During our initial conversation it was easy and flowed. He knew our venue (which could have tricky lighting) and got our vision. During our portrait shoot he was able to get to know my husband and I and we were able to get to know him. He made us both super comfortable in front of the camera. When we received our portrait session photos we were blown away..making us so excited for the capturing of the big day!Danila and his assistant, Liubov, (who was LOVELY) were right on time, easy-going, and got pictures of everything without being pushy or overwhelming. They worked with our big families requests and many personalities. They captured the very best parts of the very best day.So, THIS IS YOUR FIRST HAND RECOMMENDATION…if you like the style (timeless, classic, romantic, editorial, perfectly edited & perfectly candid) book them now. 2022-03-24My wife and I hired Danila and Lana for our wedding elopement then again for our one year anniversary when we celebrated with family and we couldnt be happier with the way the photos turned out for both dates. They do incredible work and were able to capture all the most tender and candid moments from our wedding. Looking back at the photos, were able to feel the magic of both days all over again. Not only did the photos turn out great but they are so much fun to work with as well and made us feel at ease. Cant thank them enough.

Their style of photography and video editing skills not only captured some of the best moments of our wedding but emphasized them even further! 2022-05-19Had a great time with Danila at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens for our elopement photo shoot, he was professional, courteous and went the extra mile for all the shots. He even got into a tree to take some gorgeous overhead shots with the cherry blossoms floating down on us!Fantastic experience end-to-end, loved the pictures and have been sharing them with all my family!

2020-10-08Danila and Lana were the best wedding photographer and videographer ever! They made us feel so comfortable and every single picture they sent to us (over 550!) was incredible and everything I told them I wanted out of my wedding pictures. The video was also out of this world beautiful. I couldnt believe what they were able to capture at my backyard wedding!

2019-11-13I found Danila and Lana on Instagram and immediately fell in love with their urban style of photography. Lana did mine and my husbands photos for our Brooklyn wedding and she was wonderful. I originally booked Danila but my wedding date changed and he wasnt available for my date so he offered his partner Lana. Lana was early for the start time, efficient and professional. She told us how to pose which I needed because I dont know how to pose for photos. She would say perfect so we knew she had got the shot she needed and that we were doing a good job. Responses were always in a timely manner and we received the photos exactly when we were supposed to, which funny enough was on my birthday! Their Contract was thorough and easy to understand. She has a creative eye and took us around Brooklyn to capture different settings with my husband. Finally, the editing was top notch!! I love love love their style! 2018-08-07I was drawn to Danilas photos and debated for weeks before reaching out to him because I was afraid his prices would be out of our range. I love the editorial and journalistic style of his photos. All the couples he features on his website and Instagram look amazing! A wedding advice I read mentioned that one should love all the wedding photos and not just the few good ones. We are so glad to have hired and worked with him for our wedding day. I so awkward when I take photos, Danila and Lana gave great directions. They work fast too. Six weeks later we saw our product and we love every one of them.

2017-06-30My husband and I knew we wanted photos that were more editorial that captured the smallest moments of our wedding day, and we knew Danila would be perfect for just that.
