I drove a team of HS wrestlers to Kenmore for a tournament and after watching 4 hours of non-stop wrestling I needed a break for fresh air with a walk (my bus was locked in a parking grid) and wanted a place to enjoy a fresh brewed cappucino and something to eat in a quieter place. They have a small eating area there and this was my sancuary out of the 10 degree temperature on Jan 29th, 2022. Thank you dash market!
Best Bucher case around, steak, pork, chicken and seafood are better than Tops or Wegmans. Price on strip steaks is always low and I challenge anyone to find a better cut of meat for the prices they sell them at.Theyre hot soups in the cafe are second to none and its big enough to find all the produce you need yet small enough so you dont feel like youre walking through a damn Warehouse. Lynn who does the fresh flowers is an awesome woman and if you need flowers for any occasion, shes always done incredible jobs with bouquets for gift baskets for me.
Dashs is a truly excellent market. Their fresh breads, their wide variety of products, their totally cool beer selection, their choice of radio station. Great! However, the Colvin Blvd location has a serious parking problem. Its damn difficult, even dangerous. I have no solution to this problem, but will be visiting the Hertel Ave location next, hoping its better. If you must visit the Colvin location, go after 9pm. But dont tell anyone I told you!
Ordered two fish fry dinners from them for the first time. The dinners were very good. The only negative was the wait time to get the order. It was more than twenty minutes beyond the scheduled pick up time. The personnel at the store were very friendly. I will most likely return to Dashs for additional fish dinners.
Dash is a well run store. Well organized and pleasant staff. Had a problem with Rosies delivery. They shorted a delivery. around $ 12.99. Made four calls and was promised to gain credit for those items. Never got the credit...My only alternative was calling the Attorney General but was it worth the time. This order was for senior citizens. I hope it is not a frequent occurrence. Ex law enforcement.
Good variety, despite its seemingly small size. This location carries a lot of specialized and certain brand items that may not be easily found elsewhere. Its location and crowded parking lot make this location a challenge to access and get out of, compounded by the shenanigans of their largely geriatric, non-driving customers and the intersection at which this store is located. Despite having to maneuver around the parking-impaired, this location has a pretty good variety in their selections. The fish and meat counters are very good, as is their produce section. Large selections of cheese and ethnic/international sections as well. Their cafe and service there are good as well, although a bit pricey. Their bakery items and bread are awesome and everything is fresh. I find that their employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The only down sides are that the store can get very crowded during peak times, getting in and out of the parking lot can test your patience during busy times, and the higher prices on a lot of their items.
Perfect store for a quick in and out. Came today, Christmas Eve, thinking there was no way that they would have prime rib. Well, they did! Lots of it too. The butcher was courteous and friendly. Checkout was a breeze as well. My only issue was with parking. Theyre landlocked, so not much can be done about it. No problems, though because Dashs is a perfect neighborhood grocery store for the area.
I love shopping at Dashs on Hertel. You enter in the very clean, colorful produce department that offers everything you could wish for. It is beautifully displayed. My favorite department is the fish market. The fish is very fresh and reasonably priced. I stock up on cod and shrimp there. There is a huge take out area in addition to pizzas and soup. It is a pleasure to shop here.
Was there to pickup 2 order-ahead fish fries - they were ready promptly at time promised along with the dozen other orders promised at the time!Fish was done well, comes with tartar sauce, lemon wedge, slice of bread (butter pad on side), coleslaw, macaroni salad, choice of potato salad or french friesAll for $8.95+tax
Shopped Dash on Colvin Blvd. On Saturday, 6/20/2020 for Fathers Day dinner. Bought a prime delmonico steak for my husband for $25.15. We grilled the steak to medium rare. It was very tough and difficult to cut. Very disappointed and ruined our Fathers Day dinner. We have gotten steaks from Dash many times in the past and rely on their good quality. This steak certainly wasnt prime and would have sent it back at a restaurant. I shop at this store every week and rely on their quality. Maybe you should sample your steaks before you sell them as prime for $20.00 a pound. Very disappointed.
I love Dash Markets. They have excellent produce and meat, and their prices for meats are consistently LOWER than Tops or Wegmans. I can And the quality is better here! At times you will pay a bit more for pantry items like canned goods, but the ease of navigating the store and excellent shopping experience far outweigh this in my opinion. They have come down on a lot of prices and offer so many weekly specials so I do virtually all my grocery shopping here. If you are looking for a vast selection of health store type foods, ethnic or other things like it...although they do offer some it is not the same selection for those items as a larger store with dedicated sections. They also offer food delivery! I can be in and out quickly and everyone working here is friendly and helpful. My favorite grocery store and the only one I enjoy shopping at!
Prices are outrageous. I work at a local local grocery store, so Im pretty familiar with prices. Way too high! Rotisserie chickens $7.50 here, $4.99elsewhere. A few good sales, but that doesnt make up for one small dinner roll @ .75. The lady in front of me in line spent $78.00 and only had 2 bags!
Most of their prices are absolutely insane. You can get the same exact thing for cheaper at 3 different stores. The store is small, isles are narrow and the checkout lines are extremely narrow. The veggies, meats and deli counter is great though and the employees are always super helpful and friendly.
Difficult to park. The aisles are very narrow. Constantly moving my cart as not to be in someones way. Very congestive and not easy to navigate through the store. Some aisles not numbered or marked.Food and item selection good.Prices not so good. Should have went to Tops.
Meat depart on Klein rd in amherst if you want an awesome steak try one of their dry aged steaks . I bought on not cheap but worth every cent . I did it in a hot cast Iron skillet on each side for a few minutes then put in a low heat oven to finish it off . That steak you could eat with a soup spoon so tender and good . Also a very nice produce department there also .
I love Dashs on Colvin. Mostly because of the staff. Theyre so friendly and helpful. Its like going into an old time market. The variety is terrific, produce is always fresh as are the meat dept. and deli. They run some terrific specials as well. This new mail out added coupons each week are a nice touch as well.
This is a nice little grocery store but you need to watch their prices. You can get in and out quickly but you need to watch the driveway as it can be not so bad to get in but it can be tricky to get back out. Dont let my words dissuade you from visiting. Just giving some words of advise.
This review is specifically about Linda in Floral.Linda in floral did my wedding flowers. My bouquet and my bridesmaids bouquets were just stunning. She saved us so much money than going a florist who the second you put the word wedding in front of something- rob you blind. Linda will be honest with you about what flowers look best given the time of year and even down to what bouquet shape will look best given the height and shape of your body. She is amazing and supremely talented. Cannot say enough good things about her!Thank you, Linda!
Always the best! The Dash family cares about your shopping experience and it shows. Today I had fresh bread sliced, prime rib custom cut for Philly steak sandwiches and the manager himself helped me find truffle flavored olive oil for my steak fries. Try getting that kind of service at Tops or Wegmans. Not gonna happen.
Dashs is my grocery of choice when I need to Dash in and get out quick with everything I need. Top-notch deli and butcher, reasonably-priced meats, and great baked goods, especially the breads. If you have time for a cup, coffee and lots more are available on the Spot!
The parking lot at Dashs can be a bit of a nightmare during peak times. The store itself has fairly narrow aisles, which creates a compact atmosphere. The selection however is very reasonable considering the smaller size of the store. The beer choices are ample and Dashs offers a variety of in house products.
Produce is fresh, meat tender , deli and salad bar gr8 ! They have a little of all things imaginable, even ethnic and many fresh and marvelous breads and pastries!! I am there just about daily. Staff curtious and if they dont have an item Dashs will order for u !. May be a bit pricy but u get what u pay for!! Weekly sales r gr8!!
Without elaborating too much..We utilized the florist services at Dashs for our recent wedding after we received multiple positive references.Overall, we were very disappointed. A lack of record keeping and communication seemed to be at fault. While I believe Linda wanted to make me happy, I feel as though my desires and requests were squashed or minimized in order to do what was comfortable for her. There was very much an I know best attitude that was condescending at times. She definitely has great skill and is good at the craft she has extensive experience in. However, I wish I had gone with a traditional florist that would have worked with me more closely on my vision. If you plan on having simple flowers or arrangements, go for it, they will be beautiful. If you plan on having a slightly fancier wedding and the flowers are important to you, go elsewhere.
I really like shopping at my Colvin Blvd. Dashs. Its become my go to spot. FYI...Im hooked on your Cobb Salad & probably purchase 2-3 each week. Some days Ill have 1/2 for lunch or 1/2 for donner. The best part it la that Im not throwing salad fixing at the end of the week.I actually have a few friends who now purchase the salad. Thanks for offering them at a fair price.
We had 2 great fish fries from Dash Market on Kenmore Ave, Buffalo, NY. We recommended it to many people. But the third was soggy and greasy. I am embarrassed I talked about it. We called Dashs Market, talked to the manager. I sent a e mail, received a e mail from the manager. Same party line. When will someone take responsibility for the product they put out.

2022-05-19Great place to shop. Clean store that always has fresh products. The deli has a bunch of fresh salads and the deli meat is always fresh tasting. Every employee I have interacted with has been polite and friendly.

2022-07-19Looks kind of dirty and smells of fish on entry; when a store smells fishy like it does at this Dashs, the fish is going bad or clean up is bad. Not an appetizing smell, so not a nice food shopping experience for me. There is a security guard, why, its a nice area. Use that money to lower prices or renovate! Dont believe people who gave this Dashs 5☆! Go to Whole Foods Market for a deserving 5☆ rating, the prices are about the same!Getting in and out of parking lot is tricky, and a bit dangerous, even for pedestrians! Basically not a family store. Ive never seen moms with children buying the weeks groceries at this store That says a lot too

2022-06-04Neat & Clean neighborhood supermarket. No it doesn’t have every brand ever made but there is enough variety to give you plenty of options in your shopping. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair to Midland. I still haven’t figured out how to use the reward system but At least you don’t have to have a membership card to get sale prices like other stores.

2022-07-13Best grocery store ever. The produce section is immaculate. Dave is a cool guy. Also the produce manager is the best around.

2022-07-11Honestly they should check on what thier own employees are doing instead of suspecting customers. I have had an employe twice ring out the improper receipt and send me home for more than what I paid for.

2022-06-22A little pricey but convenient. I went back after finding my bread squooshed at the bottom of the bag, they exchanged it with no problem.

2022-02-18Selection is limited due to its size and prices are a bit higher than you would find at Tops or Wegmans. With that said, Dashs still offers nice varities on lots of different types of food/drinks. Service is always friendly and I have never experienced a long line. Parking lot is a bit inconvenient and location at a busy corner can sometimes make entrance/exit somewhat difficult.

2021-12-12This is my go-to grocery store- family owned, convenient, excellent deli/butcher/seafood/bakery, large enough to find what you need but small enough it doesnt take an hour to do it. Its so much less of a hassle than dealing with the inconsiderate shoppers youd find at Wegmans and Tops. Want to be in/out in a reasonable amount of time? Dont need 1736384 varieties of one item? Dont want to deal with inconsiderate shoppers? This is the grocery store for you.
