Dave & Busters in other cities:
The worst service I’ve ever received. The hostess was super wonderful and that’s where it ends. We were sat down and no one came to take our order after 17 minutes. A waitress passed by us and took the order of two other tables, one of which was seated after us. We tried to get the attention of the waitress in our area and she completely IGNORED us. She didn’t bother to, at the very least, tell us when she would be with us or if someone else would be by to take our order. We will never come back and I will be sure to tell others.
Love me some Dave and Busters. I always end up here at least once or twice a month. A great place to grab some drinks and play some games without hurting your pocket. Be sure to to go Wednesday from 4-7pm. Not only is it Happy Hour but it’s half priced games so you get more bang for your buck.
Took my kids for one of their birthday, we put $35.00 on both of my childrens cards and they had a great time playing all the games. The decline in stars comes from eating there. Virtually no service what so ever. You pick a table scan the code in the middle and order from there. You can also pay & optional tip from your phone at the time of ordering. My problem is that service comes AFTER you use the phone. My wife ordered a salad with blue cheese dressing, wait staff brought everything however there was no salad dressing. She called someone over and asked to get dressing the server acknowledged her request and said she will be right back. 8 minutes later we were still waiting for the dressing... No it wasnt busy at 12 pm, no excuse... When she found the server she originally asked, the server said oh I asked another server to get it... Subpar service.. food ok, not great pretty much what you expect from a place like this. I only go cause my kids like it there.
Highly disappointed. Came here with my fiancé to eat, sat at the bar and did not get any attention until 20 mins into sitting down. After ordering drinks, I received my unsweetened ice tea and the ice inside tasted nasty. I ordered a sprite thinking that maybe it’s just the flavor of the tea… nope! The sprite taste nasty as well. Ordered food and my cheese burger tasted like the grill, I never received my truffle fries instead was given regular ones. The bar tender did not check up on us. Never given napkins, offered any sort of condiments etc.. had to share ketchup with strangers ! The bar wasn’t even packed, total of 12 people here and it’s 11:40 pm.
Came here for the grand opening of the Staten Island location and I’m a bit disappointed with how they performed. This D&B is part of a complete remodel for the SI Mall. Staff are very friendly and courteous. Very very crowded and different groups can be pleased here—restaurant section if you only wish to eat, gaming area for all ages even adults and a bar & grill area for drinks and watching sports events. While sitting at the bar, Grace was very polite and knowledgeable on the drinks. However when we sat at a table to eat, it went downhill from there. Our server Jevon was nothing but exceptional, but the wait times for drinks and food to come out was almost an hour and we also witnessed multiple runners who brought the wrong orders to wrong tables. And when you needed a servers attention, it was near impossible. Granted this location was only open for two days when we came here, everything in the kitchen should’ve been perfected. That’s why there’s soft openings, proper training & practice runs. 3 stars only because like I said, staff were very polite and nice.
An upgrade from the one in Manhattan. Its very spacious, lots and lots of game to lose yourself in great place for the kids and the kids at heart. Beautifully decorated, bar area have lots of big tvs to enjoy the game while eating chicken wings, drinking your beer or whatever tickle your fancy. You can also have your kids party there, or do the eat play option. Staffs are friendly, menu looks good but, you just dont know whats coming out when you order. My son and his friends had a great time there. The only negative thing I would say is when I went to use the restroom, there was no toilet tissue in my stall so I had to ask the lady next door for some👀👀👀, yes! I was embarrassed but, sh..t happens! Thank you lady, whoever you were😃😃.Other than that, its a nice place to hang out, relax and take a load of. See you soon D&Bs
Ok. So first of all. Set up at the front desk was easy. The employees set is up with all the wrist bands and power cards with no problems. The greeters at the podium were ok at first. They took out number to text us when our table was ready. The text was sent and within 2 minutes my wife went up to the podium. They said to wait for the second text cause the table wasnt ready. That wasnt the issue at all. They gave our table away, we were a party of ten. So about an hour had passed before we got our table. Not one waitress approached our table to take drink orders. It was about 15 20 minutes, so we got up to leave. One of our girls was still playing a game, which the games were all fun. So in the mean time my wife spoke to a manager and he took care of us. We got back to our table and received free game cards and 3 of our appetizers were free. So all in all the experience was good. The food was great and the price was decent.
Fun time as usual. The party was very well organized and maintained by the staff, the kids had fun in the arcade, especially with the new marvel contest of champions game that gave them collectable character cards that can be used to play in the game. The drinks were good, and for a Saturday afternoon, it wasnt extremely packed. Good overall experience.
Nice place conveniently located in the staten island mall. It can be access from outside the parking lot or through the 2nd floor food court. Clean and nice decor. Staff should be more attentive. My kids came here for a birthday party and we got one staff to assist us. No utensils and no napkins. Had to ask for it. But overall I would come back. Maybe a future birthday party but expect to be hands on. Ticket games are a bit pricey, I would stick to the all you can play deal. Most of the games are catered to older kids, my 3 year old had no games to play.
THE WORSE service Ive ever experienced!!!! Wait 20 minutes for someone to show up and take our order, we got up and left without getting service! I will make sure I will never come back and will make sure to tell everyone I know not to come to this location ... Terrible terrible terrible !!!!!
The person at the front desk was phenomenal in helping me. I needed to roam three different cards to one card for this location and he understood exactly what I needed and took care of it in less than two minutes. This was not my experience at other Dave & Busters locations where the managers were rude and gave me such a hard time.I ran into some issues with some games inside and the technician was so nice and fixed the problem right away.Ive been to many Dave & Busters locations but this is hands down the best one Ive visited. The service is great, lots of games to choose from, clean, and great staff.
So happy to be back here after a year of no arcade games and drinking :) Ill update this review later, because as of now, you cant just buy drinks, you need to also purchase food, NYS rules... Also, no draft beers yet, but the cocktails are tasty as ever. And also due to covid rules, you cant bring your drink on to the gaming floor for now 🤷♀️
The waitress was friendly but she seemed really busy, found this in my burger. Didnt complain, still left a 20% tip, its probably not the waitresss fault. But I still had a piece of plastic in my burger. Most games seem pretty well maintain, only ONE machines in the corner charged me twice and didnt end up working.
Shout out to AMY. She is the only positive about my experience at Dave and Busters. Bartender had an attitude. My mans was chokin’ on balls in his brownie. My home girl’s Long Island took a half hour to come, and they weren’t even gonna show the St. Johns game. Amy saved the day. Give her a raise.
Had a chicken ceasar salad and Asian wonton nachos. The nachos were WAAAAAY too salty. Service at the bar was baaaaaaad. I went on a Saturday night, but thats no excuse to wait 20+ minutes for a beer or your tab while 4 employees chat in the corner. Decent selection of arcade games. Oddly they had gambling games aimed at children.
Let me start off by saying this was my first time going to Dave and Busters, and I was so surprised by how much fun I had and how well customer service was. Firstly, a machine was lagging and it kept taking my credit and not playing the game. I was pretty frustrated so I waived down the manager, Miguel. He was so helpful and assisted me with no disputes. I showed him what wasn’t working and he gladly reimbursed me and gave me a free game!! It was so cool of him and I will ABSOLUTELY be attending again just from the welcoming experience. 10/10 :)
Time heals all wounds. I wrote a bad review four years ago due to a single, solitary poor experience but am revising it, as it is not fair nor honest to keep that poor review up in light of the amazing experiences I’ve had here. I absolutely love this place! With such a large variety of fun games, there is truly something for everyone. Whenever there is an issue with a machine, they are quick to solve it. The cleaning, maintenance, and general upkeep of this location is remarkable. Quick and seamless service, as well.
Love this place, I come here about once a month.Update - 01/09/2020 - This location has really fallen in quality. The last two times we went the food was subpar and the service was extremely slow. The last time we went, it was a Thursday night and there was no one there.I mean there was *no one* there. We waited for the hostess for 10 minutes before I went to the bar to get someone to seat us. Getting the bartenders attention was even a challenge despite the few customers. After being seated by the bartender who gave us menus, we waited 15 minutes before we decided to leave. In that time no one ever even came to take our drink order. On our way out I saw a worker hanging on the bar in a shirt and tie, I assumed he was the manager. I told him the situation and he apologized. He did not try to make it right. We left and havent been back since, and dont plan to return to this location.
My first time at this particular Location(Ive always gone to the one in Westbury, long island) It was pretty decent. Wish it had bowling like the other one but its in a mall so I can understand if space is limited. Maybe it was bad timing but a few of the games werent working that day so it put even more limitations on an already limited selection. Staff was friendly for the most part. Will give this place another try to see how that experience will go.
Place was nice. Service was very slow until we got our server, who was great (cant remember her name). Food was very salty (we were warned), but burger didnt come the way it was supposed to, and philly sandwich was not as great as it sounded. But we had a good time playing games. They need more bartenders tho.
So theres 2 reviews here.Dave and busters game room: 5 stars. Especially on a Tuesday.Fun and games. All great! Then we get the dining:Horrible! 0 stars!! Food was not good. Not cooked as ordered.Prices are up there, service was not great. And after all that, they did t bring us a part of our order.
There wasnt much of a menu to choose from and whatever we did order came out cold like it was sitting there for hours. Our waiter didnt come to our table to greet us until we ordered our food through the app and it was delivered. Then 2hrs in, proceeded to seek me out and find me in the arcade to close my tab before I was even done. The prize section was scarce, almost empty. They didnt clean any machines while I was there specifically the vr games. Just not worth the amount of money you spend.
This is a very popular place for my sister and her housemates so I brought her there after a long hospital stay since thats what she wanted to do first and sadly we had less than a stellar experience although to managements credit they listened and corrected our grievances over the lack of floor staff and a malfunctioning machine. I will update this review after our next visit sometime between 9/8-9/15 since my sister loves this place and I want to do what she loves doing.
The reason for the 4 starts is because me and my family were there last weekend and wanted to grab a bite to eat we were sat down at a table and waited for 20 min no one came up to even ask us what drinks we were having, we were forced to leave and went to eat somewhere else. The reason for me giving such high rating even after that is because my son loves to play video games there so its still a nice place i just dont recommend anyone eating there because you will wait longer than 20 min for someone to just come up and ask for what drink youll be having
The menu was horrible, hardly ANY choices. I also ordered 3 of the light up cube blue raspberry drinks for my kids, each $5.99, and the waiter never said they were out of the light up cubes. So I basically paid $5.99 x3 for blue Sprite and my kids were disappointed. The quality of the food was yummy, but VERY limited, staff was hard to find. No one was walking around wiping things down, but there are a lot of hand sanitizer bottles. I wasnt impressed, usually we have an amazing time there.
Had a great time , Thinking safely there was sanitizer available in the rear counter where you redeem your points for prizes. They could have more sanitizing locations available because it is a tremendous amount of space and I only seen that one location on the floor. The food was delicious , enjoyed a day out with the family. Withall this going on its not so easy. Stay safe!!
Food service was terrible! Food was cold, the atmosphere and games are all this place has going for it. I used to work for D n B 15 yrs ago in the Hollywood Fla location. And man have standards changed. Wasn’t greeted in the required amount of time once seated. When we were greeted, no bev naps on the table, was told “I’ll be right back” yeah 10 mins later. And this was at an off peek time 4:30pm I scanned my servers area and by no means was he weeded! Once we got our cold food, we just sucked it up. Cause if you’ve ever worked in a restaurant this is just a cardinal sin to send it back. After we got our food not once did the server come to check pin. We had to ask for basic things like utensils and napkins. And the pin head brought over bar napkins. This company USED to hold their employees and staff to much higher standards, with training and such but it’s either a thing of the past or it’s just this location. Thank god they only serve a step up from bar food now. Used to have a diverse palatable menu that we were stringently quizzed on. I gotta say I’m so disappointed in the direction this once great company has gone. D n B used to be an experience! Not a diner with video games. SMH
My experience was way better then expected! Manager Ed and his team helped accommodate my party of 25 people. We rented the private room in the back with buffet dinner, drink tickets and game cards. I will start with how clean the establishment was. The carpets were very well taken care of, everything was super shiny. The food was delicious both the main dishes and the sides. We could not believe how many games there were with decent ticket pay outs and fair prize redemption amounts.. The drinks were super creative, very fun and tasty. Thank you Ed for staffing the event accordingly. Everybody had an amazing time.
Kids love this place. Im still exploring the menu but so far so good. Food prices are a little higher than I would like but not unreasonable considering the overhead this place must have. Lots of drink specials for happy hour, game days etc. Probably one of the cheapest places to booze it up in the area as long as you take advantage of the specials.Wait staff have been on point during all of our visits. Half price games on Wednesday is pretty cool.
The service was ok. We werent assigned a waiter/waitress so it took a while to get our order in. A nice waitress passed by and ask if our server had arrived. Once we said no she took care of us. I order a drink that was supposed to come with a cup to keep but were out of it so the waitress offered a Stela one (I dont drink beer) it was ok. Overall the food was great, service was ok (we got our food but no utensils). Staff were constantly seen just gathered and on their phones without paying much attention on guests.
Great place to have some fun. Good for kids and adults. However, the restaurant is kind of so-so. Both time got seated and took awhile for a waiter/waitress to take our order. One time, we were trying to order a meal that will come with the $10 game coupon to load on my power card, then the waitress told us no longer available while it is on the menu. I was thinking why not letting us know as soon as we get seated instead telling me when I ordered those deal. Hence, we just walked out and ate something better instead. I would just come and play especially the Wednesday half price deal.
Great place clean and the food was great the service was excellent and they games are great all new and no long lines for waiting for any games the only reason why I didn’t give a 5 stars rating was because they took about 30 minutes to bring out the desert and it was only one cookie with ice cream if they didn’t delay that I would definitely have gave them 5 stars but other than that definitely worth going to
This place is amazing for the arcade and food. This could have been 5 stars but there are a few problems with the machines, I will list them off now. Pump it up has a problem where the machine is NOT connected to the internet. The reason this is a problem is the fact you cannot use your am pass card or usb to access the extra songs and difficulties. Time crisis 5 also had a problem with the light gun trigger being to unsensitive. You needed to pull down hard on the trigger more than you needed to on the other light gun. Tomb raider also had a problem with the light gun but Im sure it was fixed. Guitar hero also sometimes has a problem where the controller just doesnt not strum or fret if you can ignore these flaws and just enjoy the arcade Im sure this Dave and busters is fine the food and service there was phenomenal they were really nice and not rude at all. I hope all these issues will be fixed the next time I go there especially the problem with the pump it up machine not being online.
Love Staten Islands Dave & Busters. The food and drinks at their restaurant is very good. The service is great. Ive eaten there often and have never been disappointed. There are rarely any machines out in the game room. Everything is very well kept. Bring your family and have some fun!
The service here is terrible. After being seated we waited about 20 minutes for the waiter to come and ask us if we wanted a drink. When he did come we waited a long time for him to bring us the drinks. When the food came out the fries were cold. It wasn’t crowded at all there was our table and other table in the whole place. I hate to see what happens when it is crowded. You are better off eating in the food court and then go play games. It is cheaper and your food is hot. Will never eat in there again.
Let me start off by saying the service here was terrible. the staff is very careless and pay no attention to tables. i came here with my 7 year old daughter after playing games for an hour, we were starving. the hostess sat us and we waited for 20 minutes until i got up and asked for a waiter. then another 10 minutes went by until he came to us. and another 10 until our drinks came out. i’m a waitress myself and i understand if it’s busy then there is an expected wait time, but when all the waiters are just standing, looking aimlessly around the room, then there is no excuse. i had to ask 4 different staff members for ranch and a refill on my drink until i finally got it. the only reason there is 1 star is cause the food is great, just such a shame the service is terrible.
Definitely a good time here. This D&B is fairly new, so it is pretty clean, including the bathrooms and restuarant area. The food was pretty good, what you would expect from a D&B. The only negative thing about this location is I feel like it is just a tiny bit smaller then other D&Bs that Ive been to.
Fantastic experience. Read alot of negative reviews, but my experience was extremely positive. We were sat at our booth promptly. Waitress was with us within minutes of sitting down.Drinks ordered and served quickly.Food came quickly and was served hot.Staff was helpful, courteous, and professional.
I was surprised it was awesome we loved it! I thought it was going be cheesy Im sorry to say but it wasnt! The games were great next time we are going to eat there and play games! The food looked and smelled great! The stars are for the games! The worst service I have ever seen in my life! All we got was burgers! Food is terrible and expensive! Go for the games you are better off eating somewhere else then going to play there! Trust me Im understanding but the service is that terrible!! A lot of people standing around doing nothing! Epic fail of the food part!!
Went here to celebrate a child’s birthday with family (not a party). Arcade was a lot of fun with different games. Went on a half price day. I don’t think I would go on a full price day bc it would be too expensive. Kids go through those credits quickly! I think their prize choices were also good quality. Food was typically bar type food.
I was pleasantly surprised with everything here. The ambiance is very trendy. You dont feel like you are at a kids arcade place. I have not seen so many super techy touchscreen games in one place. My kids loved it and I loved watching them in awe. Also, the quality of the drinks were exceptional and the food was great. Definitely coming back.
I went there this weekend and it was my first visit to this location. Our server was great, his name is Israel. He had great energy and was super helpful with our questions on the menu items. He took very good care of my son who has a peanut allergy. He was attentive and friendly and encouraged us to come back.
Great place, it looks amazing, clean & roomy seating.Unfortunately the cost to eat there is insane. Over $118.00 dollars for 3 meals & 4 drinks. I dont see how they can justify the pricing there. I would say it is a great place if your paying on a company tab or everyone is pitching in for the cost.As for a small group of friends or a family night out Ill stick to more reasonably priced places.
Facility was very clean and well kept, but for the service in the dining area for a party of 20 kids and 15 adults could have been better. Had to keep chasing down the waiter for cups for guests, cleaning up the table after everyone eat and to serve the birthday cake. But overall the kids enjoyed themselves
I like this dave and busters location because its never too crowded. I brought my nephews to play games but not eat because Ive been there before and the food is too expensive and not good. I was able to get a discount on game credits by downloading the app. If its your first time downloading the app your get 30% off Andy credit package. It was a good savings. We had a good time !
Its everything one could expect and so much more. Amazing game selection, and variety. Everything from your carnival classics, to recognizable video game & comics franchises, alongside Virtual Reality is well represented here. The dining is likewise superb, considering how reasonable the pricing for the entrees are. Be sure to take advantage of the Dine & Play combo deal, that gives you an entree and plenty of game chips for one price. Service was great as well.
I have to say in overall its a beautiful place. The only thing that bothered me was that, After we were seated . Thirty minutes went by no one approached our table not even to ask if we wanted drinks. After, about 30 minutes in we then were approached. The costumer services needs work. The employees need more knowledge and experience. In order to up hold their title. The hostess only knew how to seat her guest. When asked questions she didnt know how to answer them. I feel that whether youre cashier or hostess even a server. Everyone should take time to get to know each job and what the details of each jobs are. So when approached with a simple question or situation they know how to respond and handle themselves. We enjoyed our dinner it was great! The games were fun.The atmosphere was perfect. Everyone friendly.
Fun place, but each of my experiences there have been with poor service. Last time I was there, they wouldnt seat us until our whole group was there. They said its policy, but I couldnt find it listed anywhere on site or online. It wasnt even on their list of policies. I didnt know in advanced so we did not plan arrival times accordingly. We had to stand in the lobby for 30 minutes before we were seated, on a slow week night. On the same and other visits the servers regularly forget things, including their website advertised specials which we had to educate them on. If youre very patient, its great. Good food and fun games.
Terrible service from the moment we walked in. 15-20 min to wait for the waitress to even ask if we would like a drink. We ordered water and waited 10-15 for that. Then when we ordered food, it arrived cold and burnt. If thats possible. Then we had the manager correct the problem. We waited for the food to be fixed but then again they sent the food messed up, again. The manager took the food back to correct it again. Finally we were able to eat. The manager comped the food which we appreciated. We asked the waitress if we were able to have a surprise desert to sing happy birthday to my niece. The waitress proceeded to inform us that we had to order a dessert and theyll put a candle in it. We would have liked the service team to sing at least happy birthday. Nothing! Then when it came to paying the bill, the waitress ran the credit card. For some reason the cards were declined. Checked the bank to confirm financial. Plenty of money to pay the bill. Then, when purchasing time to play games, the computers were down. REALLY!!!Management did take control of the matter but the damage was done. Not happy! Will be a very very very long time before I return.
First time ever to a Dave and Busters and I recommend it. The food was yummy and it wasnt that crowded. Had a hard time deciding what to eat because there was so much to pick from. The pork tacos were delicious. Next time I want to try a couple drinks...the sangria looked good. Lots of games to choose from and the prizes are great. Nothing to complain about. Cant wait to go again. Nice for both bringing kids and for a fun date night.
It is a great place to have birthday parties or just have fun. Its a diner and an arcade. You can actually earn really cool prizes. There are not horrible prizes like at chuck e cheeses. Though, the wait for the food was 2 hours long. (there was 15 other people with me) Though, it did not seem 2 hours long. We managed to pass the time just walking around the amazing arcade. This is my first time experience and honestly, it was really great!
Came here with family and a few of my friends. Me and my friends were told to leave because we were under 18 and wasn’t given the opportunity to tell the person kicking us out that my dad was in there with my little sister. They would not believe me. Eventually I had to wait outside with my friends until I could’ve gotten a hold of my dad to bring me and my friends back in. Horrible place and would not even give us a refund for our credits that we would’ve lost if my dad wasn’t there
Service bad, Food so so!! Ive eaten three times in the last 2 weeks. I just dont know if theyre understaffed and not trained properly. First time I ate there they delivered our food and to the empty table behind his. Server after server past it and didnt think nothing of it. This went on for about 20minutes. Thank god the lovely waitress we had so the look on my face and took action. Then everyone realized what had happen. What through us off was that there was another tables appetizers on there as well. Went today, waited 15 minutes, when we went back to check how much longer. We had to wait another 15-20. Dont know why, plenty of tables available. So we went to Red Robin, ate came back to play games and a family that was waiting before us, was still waiting. Again, plenty of table empty. Burgers are so so, buns are over sized. Fries are good. Plenty of other good places to eat the same kind of food in the Mall.
Foods good, menu is big enough to make it worth coming back to try something else. Service was friendly enough. Who decided that the booths should have seats so high my legs dangled while I ate lunch? I also love video games, what can I say? Perfect way to kill time while the girlfriend shops 😀
We have been in Dave n Busters’s many times for the arcade. The machines are great. You don’t have to deal with the staff. Yesterday, we decided to give the food a try and we regret it. The food was so sour, salty and not fresh. My kids meal came after 45 minutes!!! 45 minutes for chicken tenders!! The waiter who came with the other three orders said she is going to check on the missing order and never came back. I went to ask after another 15 minutes, the another lady took my table location and she said she will check and never came to my table. We are about to leave they brought the chicken fingers!!! The only time a staff came back to take the money!!! Never again!
Had a fun experience along with my sister in law, nephew and niece. We had many games to choose from and played and most importantly the kids had a blast being there as a reward for their excellent report cards. We even played an awesome round of 4 way air hockey. It should be noted that the customer service their was excellent as well all around from the front counter girl to the technicians who literally took a machine apart to retrieve a card my nephew accidently had slip inside a machine when he put it up on the screen to rest while playing. Great Job by the staff!
Took twenty minutes to get someone to see us, we still haven’t had our order and it’s been 25 minutes so far. about five waiters are just standing in a circle talking. We tried about ten times to catch the attention of ANY workers and it just not have worked. It’s a nice atmosphere but the service is just sad really. All in all, for a first time visit this had been horrible, will not be coming back anytime soon. Bad food, came out cold..
Went there last week , and even though it was busy we got a table very fast. Food was served quickly . Will definitely be back soon. Servers name was Amy and when I tell you guys she was so nice !!! Didn’t have any problems at all , this will definitely be my go - to having a fun time with my girls !
We had a great time. For an arcade the food was really good. They have enough games so that you dont have to wait for any machines and they had a game for all ages. The prizes you can win from collecting tickets were surprisingly good. The bar was big enough that you didnt have to squeeze between people to get a drink. The prices were very reasonable too.
This place is amazing! Many of the games involve either luck or skill, which makes them really fun. Games the cost chips, can give you credits, which can be exchanged for prizes! Many of the prizes are amazing if you can get enough credits! Overall, this is a great place to go to with friends or family!
The service was horrible. I took someone here because I wanted her to have a good time and experience something new and I was extremely disappointed. The day I went the fire alarm was going off every 20 minutes causing the games to shut down. We did not play at all that night. Also, we ordered 2 drinks and it took 40 minutes for us to get TWO DRINKS!!! I would not recommend this Dave and Busters to anyone. Go to another one.
The food is frozen and not even heated properly. The service is absolutely terrible. The restaurant is never packed and yet it takes 45mins to get seated. The “adults” they hire are better off playing the video games. I have had far too many bad food experiences here then to ever eat the food here again.
Had a blast playing games but sitting at the bar definitely was a completely different experience. I ordered 2 drinks, the wait was over two hours. When I finally got the coffee it tasted like the burnt coffee grinds. The manager happily covered the two drinks we couldnt drink. But it cant change the experience!!
The place is OK; but couldve been a lot better if theres more and better arcades (specially those that you can challenge a friend to a fight, like the street fighter types of games). The 3* was for the lack of fighting games and the lack of options for tickets/points for prizes. A $100.00 wont last you too long, so be prepared if you wanna have a day in the arcades.
Games are fun which was why we even gave 2 stars. We sat down for dinner and never even got acknowledged, no server came up to us, we never even got to order. We had two kids with us and sat waiting for a server for over 30 mins (people with hungry kids know how hard that can be) Even when we asked someone about our server they said one was coming and no one ever showed up. We had to leave in order to get the kids who were age 4&6 some food. We were really looking forward to this place being great, sad it wasn’t.
Very nice place. Drinks and food were good. Staff did their best to mask the incompetence of management at this location. Came with a party of 12. They had no protocol in place to seat more than a party of 10. What a joke. Waited 2 hours to be seated. Will not return to this location. Corporate may want to rethink granting a franchise to these people
To make the long story short, we went there for my son 14 years birthday. They were not accommodating to our group. They let us wait until we complained. Refused to let us in with our home made cakes until we asked to speak to manager. Then they allowed it. They let our group of about 20 sit on one table. We had to find an empty table to sit the rest of us. Then let the group of kids about my son age sit without taking our order until we complained. The worst was assistant general manager coming to me and tell me we have to leave. He said that kids are rocking the machines. He told them multiple times to stop and they didn’t. I explained that I was not told about a problem and we are here for my son’s birthday. I insisted that this will ruin the occasion. He then said we can have the cake and then leave. Instead of feeling welcome in the place we felt unwanted. If there is a problem, the person in charge of the group should have been notified. This problem could have been easily contained. Kids do miss behave. There are other ways to deal with them before you resort to kicking them out. I felt insulted and my son had the worst birthday ever. I don’t recommend this place.
I would have given it 5 stars for the food, but the service wasnt great. Without sounding crazy the place is too loud, (i know its like an arcade) but at least the manager was nice enough to lower the volume on the music, while we ate. Besides this the place rocks and the games are really fun to play !!I went back again...service was excellent...!!
So me and my fiance came here after a nice dinner (Its date night) Well we went to the bar where there was only one person sitting there yet we had to wait for a drink because the bartender had her back to us and was on her phone. We ordered two long island iced teas and they were horrible. Tasted like lemon water. I spoke to the manager and he was very nice and exchanged my drink. When we went to close out the tab, again we had to wait because the bartender was on the other side of the bar with another employee and someone else on their phones. The only reason I gave four stars is because of the manager and the nice selection of games.
I went with my spouse and kids, they sat us on a table next to the cash registers where the staff was hanging out and being loud. Our waiter was decent but the staff that was hanging around the cash registers was using so much profanity in the presence of my 5 and 3 year old. We finished our food as fast as we could and asked for a check. We was in so much hurry that i forgot my credit card there. I swore i would never go to eat there, but my kids enjoy the games so i decided while my spouse was shoping to take them there and play some games. The kids wanted to eat so we sat on high chairs accross the bar. The waitress gave us the drinks and dissapeared, i keept asking other waiters for menus no one was able to help. We left and we havent been back there in over 3 months. The food was great but horrible staff. Update 3-18-19 I took my kids there to play and they wanted food from there. We ordered food and half of the food for two of us was served while the other two members of my family keept waiting. We waited for like 45 minutes and we got fed up and we decided to leave. One star on service today.
Kids enjoyed the games as expected, but did not expect to have to walk out of the restaurant after waiting 30 minutes for one dish to come out, which was not even the appetizer. Saw at least 4 managers huddling in a corner at one point and then disappear behind a back door. I had to get up and go to the door behind where managers hide and wait for one to pop out. Got a friendly apology and then had to wait some more with now two dishes and still waiting on two more and the appetizer. Jumped out of the booth to grab another manager who blew me off and disappeared behind the escape door. Waited some more and then my mom, my two kids and I just got up and began walking out. A manager suddenly appeared and walked to the empty booth. He didnt even look around to see if we were near. We went to the food court, enjoyed our food and saved money. We went back to enjoy the games. This by the way was on a Monday, early afternoon. Lesson learned - eat before going to Dave & Busters.
I told the host I have a party of 7 but only got 5 setting instead of 7. Had to go grab my only setting and plates from an empty table. Had to scream across the table to place my order instead of walking over to customer My waitress was walking back and forth and didnt bother to ask if there is a need to refill the drinks, kids were dying of thrist. Didnt bother to ask if we needed anything instead was talking with coworkers at the bar area. This was the worst service. Manager needs to walk around to check and make sure your customers are accommodate to their needs even though it noisy but restaurant service is POOR!
My experience was great. The staff was friendly. Everything was clean. The food was so good I ordered a philly cheese steak sandwhich to go. When i got home I noticed that there were no fries and my sandwich was missing cheese and peppers. Overall, it is a nice place to bring the family and I will be returning.
Giving this establishment 1 star is an overstatement. I have never received such terrible service at any business in all my life. My party was told our wait time would be 45 minutes, then after the 45 minutes they told us another 10, and then another 10 etc. After waiting an hour and thirty minutes for our table I decided to ask another member of the dining staff, Samantha, how much longer the wait would be. I explained how long we were waiting and how customers who came in after us were getting seated and she replied to us in a nasty tone by saying “you’ll get seated when it’s ready.” Her poor attitude is just one of many reasons this place gets 1 star. After we finally got seated, it took 40 minutes for a waitress to help us because no one had informed her that she was supposed to work our table. This is not her fault, just a failure on managements part. When we finally got our food it was cold and we couldn’t drink some of the mixed drinks because they were so disgusting. There is clearly problems with management here because none of their employees have anyone watching over them. The worst part is that this was during a week night. I can’t imagine how much worse the service must be on weekends. I won’t be surprised if this restaurant closes within a few years. No one in my party will ever be going back.
Phenomenal. They did a great job. Brand new, fresh, and awesome. A truly great addition to the Staten Island community. I would give it 5-stars but it takes a lot for something to be “perfect” 5-star worthy. Very few things or places are “perfect” in my reviews. But truly this is a great place to just be and to hang out.
The gaming area and the bar is good ! Please don’t waste a dime eating here! Took my family of 3 45minutes to get seated plus an hour to get our meal! They can do a lot better with the food ( donot order the chicken parm Alfredo) and to top it all off I was served a soup spoon with my pasta !!!! Who eats pasta with a spoon? And it took 15 minutes to get my utensils ! We didn’t even want to risk waiting on desert . The waiter tried to steal her own tip & lost our receipt ! Complete disaster and I’m never one to complain !
First time at a Dave and Buster franchise, thought it would just be a bigger chuckie cheese type facility I was wrong, the place is huge and it’s geared toward adults. Looks like a huge casino but for games, video monitors all over the place. You have the option to wait for a regular table or go to the walk in booth near the games and sit if one is empty. I wasn’t expecting much with the food, I ordered the salmon that comes with string beans and spicy rice. Pleasantly surprise, my family had the pasta with shrimp and steak and a slider with ribs and mash potatoes, these too were a hit and definitely get the chocolate cake, incredible and games were great, definitely going back
Theres no reason a guest should have to wait 25 minutes for one margarita to get to the table when youre sitting only a few feet from the bar. The atmosphere has a good time vibe, but the games are pretty much the only thing that make this place worth it. If youre hungry you better have a snack before you go because you will wait at least 45 minutes to an hour for your food to arrive. Im not one to complain but this place is going to be run to the ground if they dont get the kitchen together.
Fun time had by all, kids and adults the same! Didnt spend a lot on tickets and had a blast for a good amount of time. We did NOT eat here so i wont rate their food/service. What i hear is that they need to improve in those areas....hopefully they have. But an excellent way to spend an afternoon.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Been there 4 times and what can I say. The only positive thing to say is the food is actially good. The first time my husband and I went was during the day on a weekday when they just opened and when we sat at a self seated table there were many waiters but no one even acknowledged us for 30 minutes. They were exremely over staffed during the day on a weekday but no service at all. Games were fun and inexpensive at the time. Second time we came with our son on a weekend. Waited for a table for about 30 minutes got seated and they had alot of waiters but nobody came to us for about 20 minutes and the waitress we got was constantly disappearing. The games prices got raised as well. Third time my husband and I came alone. Waited 40 minutes for a table again very slow service. The last time we went with our son tonight and after tonight we are never ever going back and we will discourage everyone we know from going as well. We came around 5 and were told it would be 1 hr and 15 min wait. As I looked around I saw 75% of tables empty so I asked the hostess why such a long wait and she replied bc they are understaffed and the kichen is backed up. I dont know what was in the kitchen but they had ao many waiters and waitresses just standing and talking doing nothing. We went to play. The games doubled in price since our last visit. It is ridiculously expensive. I understand that the place has to make uts money back but not as such a high cost when only opening less than a month. We waited an hour and a half to be seated. Finally we sat. The waitress took 25 minutes to come for our order. After ordering about 5 mi utes passed and the fire alarm went off. They told everyone to exit the place and said we all would be informed when we can return. We left and never ever coming back again. Horrible management and poor staff manners.
Went there for first time for granddaughters birthday, best cheese steak on the island. My wife and I went back and I ordered the same cheesteak, it tasted as someone scraped off the grill and added the fixings to it. The only reason Im giving 3stars is that they have a great arcade.Make the food consistently good and itll be a 5 star place.
Really nice set up, but not for me. To loud both in volume and lighting. Has a casino feel without the gambling and we prefer the gambling. How many adults really want to go out and play video games?? The video games are a distraction from the beer and sports. Better options for adults are Millers Ale House and Tommys Tap and Tavern.
Would have been a 2 - 3 star review if not for the bartender Isreal. it is apparent that they are very understaffed. large number of empty tables and a 30+ minute wait time for a table. sat at the bar and there was only one bartender for both sides of a fully seated bar. ordered the grilled chicken avocado ranch sandwich, the bacon on the sandwich was cold. Isreal was very personable and made up for the disappointing food experience.
We just got party for today 3-6pm! thanks for the great service for my two little one’s birthday. Thanks leanne and the other guy (just forgot his name). Always have smile on their face. And thanks for Peter such a nice guy too. Nice and clean, all kids get toys! We will be back! But just need to improve for the food, chef need to improve 🤫, 😅chuck E cheese even tastes more better.
We usually go for the arcade games and excitement of winning tickets which is all a great experience. However, this time around we decided to dine here as well. Horrible, horrible, horrible decision! The waitress (Torri) was extremely rude and wouldn’t let us purchase a meal without purchasing the power card points with it. She said it wasn’t an option. She didn’t even wait on the table. She barely checked on us and we waited forever for the food and it came out cold. Then we received our receipt and she wrote on the receipt that we need to leave a 20% tip which was a heck of a lot because she made us purchase power card points too just to eat ! There were even weird charges on the receipt too and when I asked a different waiter what it was he told me it was a charge for a power card , but we never received new power cards. The points were added to ones we previously had. However, when I asked torri she covered it up saying it was just the cost of the meal broken down. She was clearly trying to charge anything and everything so she can ask for a 20% tip on a large check.
Most everything is great, I expect them to add more games. The food takes extremely long though. I can’t blame them, since it’s popular, but on that day, barely anyone was eating. I’m sorry, but come on! It takes waaaay too long. It was a blast there though! The prizes are most definitely worth it. But maybe make the prize corner a bit bigger? I dunno, I just don’t see that much stuff in there...
The place has a good vibe and a cool set up. Food was good drinks on the other hand definitely could be a lot better. I had a hellauva Old fashion, which I sent back for a grey goose martini, and my date had some patron drink which wasnt good either. Overall besides the drinks I had a pretty good time.
I went there over this last weekend and I literally had the time of my life. First time I’ve been to this Staten Island location with my family and I can truthfully say I will be back there soon ! The person at the front desk said her name was Ari she was the sweetest ever ! While my family and I were eating , the manager Ed came over just to make sure everything was alright . Definitely great managerment they have !
STATEN ISLAND DAVE AND BUSTERS.Don’t go there to eat. Just play games and bolt. Food is awful quality compounded by the worst service. Understaffed empty bar area. No one to serve drinks. Waiting 20 minutes...no one sees you. They only are busy making drinks to people at tables and everyone else might as well be invisible. Bewildered staff spends 20 minutes at computer to punch in orders. Then they run out of drink ingredients at 8pm on a NFL night with 4 hours to still go. Wow. So bad and sad.
There is no reason why this place shouldn’t get 5 stars. The service is phenomenal and I’m greeted every time I come in. Food is great and the Games are so much fun especially the Injustice game! If I’d could recommend one change tho, it’s probably be add more sport game like hockey and soccer! Overall I love coming here! New hotspot on SI
I wish theyd let me buy drinks after I left my I.D. at home but the service was top notch. Id say its like Chuck-e-Cheese for adults except that place is actually popular among parents because youre not responsible for your kids once you they stamp their hands.Anyway, about this place.. it was pretty good. Im glad I no longer have to go to Mahattan for this.
Games are fun, but the large and medium claw machines never hold the prize dont waste your money on these two however you can get as many plastic Ducks from the small machine as you like. Drinks are great food is okay play and eat deal is good. Nice prizes when you cash in your tickets.
LONG & TERRIBLE SERVICE. My family went for my neices 4th birthday and asked for a table for 13 people. After waiting a half hour, we were seated at a booth that could barely fit 11 people and when we asked if there could be tables put together or something it took 20 minutes just for them to move us. After 3+ staff were involved and we were moved, we waited another 20 minutes before a waiter even came over. When they finally did and brought out our food, they forgot 2 appetizers and one of the kid’s meals. They did not come back to check if we needed anything (which we did: ketchup, utensils, drinks). We had to search for our waiter and then they took a very long time to clean off the table so we could eat cake. The whole time we had antsy children who wanted to play. After asking 3 times to clean the table they still were not cleaning it because they were trying to figure out the bill they messed up because they charged for food we never got. It took about 2 and a half hours before we could go play the games that we came there for. Will eat elsewhere before IF I ever go back.
Was there yesterday at opening with my wife and family...Ashley @ the front desk was a absolute sweetheart, answered our questions and got us set up quickly, was seated immediately and our server Shea was awesome..on top of it, sweet and always checked in on us... atmosphere was gr8, clean..had a gr8 time! Going back Sunday for those cheesesteak sliders again!!
After a small issue regarding a gift card at the front desk, a manager was called. Ed greeted us, allowed us to explain our situation and offered solutions. He was professional, courteous, and cares about our feelings. This place is well maintained and always does the right thing. Thumbs up to Ed, he deserves it.
Dave & Busters is the best the hostess were so attentive & so was the waitress. My food came out fast & Hot The manager miguel visited the table & he was very nice. However A woman manager named Rose was very rude to her employees. Someone needs to step up and tell her she needs to check herself because i know i wouldn’t take it.
The manager named Rose was very rude and disrespectful. I asked her a question about the menu and she acted as if I was bothering her. She walked by our table like 5 times and never once asked if everything was ok. My opinion if she doesnt like her job then she should find another one. FYI I personally get the vibe that they do not like black people and they are racist. I was there for a 2 weeks ago for 2 birthday parties and we was there until closing. I realized they played all the music by black artists right before they close by that time there is no one there to even hear it. Plus the food takes forever to get to your table and when it does it is not even hot its like almost cold. Personally they get a thumbs down!!!!!!!# I had a better time at the one in Manhattan more friendly there!!!!
Decided to give it a try since it’s been open a month and the “rave” should’ve died down a bit. Now I have been to the Woodbridge NJ location, so I was expecting the same service, and experience, maybe a little less due to being brand new and just opening a month who, but I was completely DISAPPOINTED!!!! The table service for the restaurants was horrible. The food was great, but the service was terrible. Waiter was no where to be found, did not check up on us at all, had to get our own straws from kiosk, and even had to find waiter to get the check. Off to a bad start already. Gaming was even worse !!!! Broken games, very hot, and dirty environment. Some games took my credits but didn’t allow me to play the game. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. Last, the bathroom was disgusting. No toilet paper, every stall had un flushed toilets, and floor was wet and sticky. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION, and I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! I will continue to have my night out at Dave and Busters at the Woodbridge NJ location, paying the bridge toll is 100% worth it.
Absolutely excellent place to go whether you are looking for an arcade, bar, or place to eat although the combination of all of those three elements into one place seems to raise the price of each of them a bit. Definitely a reliable place to go if looking for a normal arcade experience with a place to cash out your points (they have a card system instead of tickets) for various prizes.
Awesome place to go with family and friends. The games are brand new, the food is pricey but if u go during happy hour its not too bad. They have a VR jurassic Park thing, extra pay. However it gets a bit crowded because its new. And there is a lot of parking because its next to the mall. Free parking.
The new Staten Island location is disappointing. Games and ambiance is very nice. Food service is terrible, 4pm on a Monday, seated at a dirty table, takes 10 minutes to get a server, then 10 mins for them to arrive, then over a half hour to get the food. Only ordered sliders, wings and the dip trio. Burgers were sad and cold, wings dry. The dip trio was actually pretty good. The table next to use was dirty the entire time we were sitting over an hour, passed by countless employees, there doesnt seem to be any busters either. Servers are giving you food, then picking up garbage on the floor and touching plates etc.. not very sanitary. Doesnt seem to be any presence of management, workers seem to be a free for all. Hostesses are clueless and have no experience clearly. Upsetting after this place just Opening and to see already lack of care and supervision. Will be back for the games and maybe some drinks and chips, but very dirty and questionably sanitary food practice. Please upper level management get this place together before too late.

2022-06-18This place was in the mall and I passed by it so many times. My mother told me I should look inside and see whats in there and when I went to the mall with a group, they told me what place I can go. So I went to Dave & Busters thats close to all the eating places in the dining area. First time I went in there I was surprised by what they have. It had arcade games many arcade games you could also eat there and have food delivered to you. I dont know if its possible but you could do delivery from here to your house. They also have a prize corner if you play the game with a certain card and win tickets.🏆 I rode on one of the arcade games that has a built-in motorcycle and I enjoyed my time there.☺️ Took some pictures here and its a great place to enjoy myself so next time if I want to have a great time friends and family I would recommend going to this place. And dont forget to eat, drink 🍷🍻, play and watch.👍👍😃

2022-06-11Its a nice place with plenty of games for kids to enjoy themselves plus a bar and restaurant for an adult to relax while the kids are playing or to eat with the family. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was no toilet paper in the bathroom and a few stalls were filthy. Everything else was fine.

2021-08-09My usual D&B is at Times Square but that may be changing. This one is less crowded and cleaner. But both are still pricey for the games. Still fun times and the app will sometimes offer discounts. The bar and restaurant area was set up nicely with huge screens. Great place to catch the game and play games.

2021-06-23The chicken avocado is good a little salty for me. But it was good. Good staff. The manager even took off a meal price due to me have to wait long then everyone else in my party for my plate. Though that was cool of him. Well be back

2021-07-09Super happy to see them open again and appreciate all the efforts to be Covid compliant. Staff is very nice and professional there are some new games like Star Wars Virtual Reality. Like always, boys had a great time there!

2022-04-28I came for happy hour & the bartender greeted & took the orders of 2 other guests that came in after me. When he greeted me it wasn’t pleasant, the way he slid me the menu was weird. The energy he was giving off was like he didn’t want to be bothered with me & this is the person I’m supposed to tip when my bill comes? Absolutely not I, gathered my belongings & left the energy was unwelcoming. They just be hiring anybody but don’t want to hire people who are actually qualified for the position. That’s that privilege for ya.

2022-03-07Ordering a drink took so long and it tasted like juice. Pretty much paid for an over priced soda. I ordered my steak well done but when I received it the steak was still bleeding and the asparagus was under cooked. Great games atleast.
