Im leaving this review after seeing some interesting behavior on my last few visits to the state land (Three rivers) near by. I spend a lot of time hiking, and hunting on this land, and frequent it 3-4 times a week. First off, its interesting that 90% of the reviews leaving 5 stars are either written by a family member, or based on the review itself, close childhood friends. Thats a huge conflict of interest, and should be a massive red flag. That said, over my time visiting three rivers, I have witnessed this business not only perform burn outs in cars theyre working on in the road, but spray paint them, drag race them up and down the road, and rally them around in their yard. One look at the road itself, or their yard will confirm this story. Thats a far cry from behavior I would expect from responsible mechanics, and in my opinion I would not recommend, nor trust them with my vehicle.
I was in time of need for my car and they let me know exactly what i needed to get fixed and they helped me with my car alternator, belt and my battery and also let me know alot of other useful details that i need to get done on my car. Dave and his son are very great I’ll recommend them to anyone
Dave was professional, courteous, and VERY reasonable. Will DEF use their services again and recommend Mobile Mechanic to my Friends and Family!
Ive known Dave sence grade school. There is nothing this guy cant fix, from a bicycle to a transmission and everything in between. He can come to you or you can bring your vehicle to him. And he paints also. Hes available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is not a garage out there that can beat his prices, you can even buy your own parts and have him install them, most garages dont allow that. He even painted a trash truck, a big one, PINK for the owner of a trash company. Whatever you may need done on a vehicle and your strapped for cash give Dave a call hes always willing to work with you.

2022-04-20One of the worst experiences I’ve had in my life, completely ripped me off on 270 bucks, we paid for him to fix our cv shaft which he stated was the problem when that wasn’t even the main problem. Would not recommend this service at all complete waste of time.

2021-08-15I cannot thank Dave and Team enough for literally saving the day. When camped at a state park 70 miles away our truck which tows our camper would not start. Dave drove all the way to Binghamton area to a state park on a Saturday evening and managed to replace a completely corroded starter motor. This was less than perfect conditions as we were losing light and essentially in a forest. The minute that engine started again the relief was unreal. J don’t know if Dave understands how truly amazing it was for him and his team to drive all that way. This family are truly thankful!

2021-08-15Rear wheel on my truck locked up and I needed a way to get it fixed but every place I called asked me to tow my truck there. In the end I searched for a mobile mechanic and Dave showed up. Good reviews so I gave it a shot. He Showed up the next day took the wheel off diagnosed the issue and came back with all the parts and fixed it there in my driveway. Very knowledgeable and gave me many options. Thanks Dave

2020-09-01This is the worst experience with any mechanic Ive ever had. Not only did he overcharge my grandparents for an engine that barely works. But he didnt even fix it. He tried having them pay way more than they should have been told. Not only that, but he decided taking their EZ pass and use it (already a problem in itself) and never spoke a word thinking he was getting away with it. After holding onto this car for 2 months (when the job should not have taken so long by any means) he tried telling my grandparents he had cars he could trade if we had liked them better (a car that didnt stop which he didnt mention, the driver door didnt shut and more). After having to call and text him everyday trying to get a hold of him after being ignored on and off he finally finished the car and returned it. The car stalls and will turn off. This is the most untrustworthy, sketchy and liar of a mechanic Ive ever seen. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

2020-08-03My sister who was with me placed her review below and I couldnt have written it better myself. Were traveling from Buffalo down back to NYC, and my car gets a coolant leak. No shops were opened on a weekend past 4pm. Dave and his Son took good care of us and my car while in one of those incidents that always decides to happen when youre on vacation, you know, that kind. Dave works as a lone mechanic at his home, his son has a tow truck business and hauled the car in, about 33 mins away. Ive had a few other coolant issues in the past from a broken hose, but Dave, working alone in his yard, found the fault and replaced it quicker than any other mechanic Ive been thru. He knows his stuff and identified other issues I can fix on my own time that other mechanics havent mentioned or noticed. Plus shared some maintenance advice. And at an amazing price at that. I was expecting a fortune for the repair and tow. I cannot truly express how greatful I am to Dave and his family. Bonus: he has a beautiful German Shepherd that can keep you company while Dave works on your car and engages you in interesting conversations.

2020-08-03Dave and his son were angels sent to us! We’re originally from NYC and we were on vacation in Buffalo to visit family. On our way back to NYC, our car started to have a coolant leak. Now we were already 2 hours and a half away from Buffalo and there was no way we could drive back with this issue. It was a mess! This was an issue we were already having in the past and we went to a different mechanic who apparently “fixed” the problem but that wasn’t the case. So we tried our best to park in parking lot and googled some places we could go to. Now the fact that it was a Sunday, it was really hard for us to find a spot that was open, especially during COVID. We happened to stumble upon Mobile Mechanic that was open for 24 hours. We called and Dave picked up! (Thank goodness!) We told Dave that we may need to have a tow truck tow our car to his place since we didn’t want to risk the car overheating. Dave’s son was able to bring a tow truck over and helped us to our car to Dave. His son is super sweet as well btw! He has a good head on his shoulders, especially for his age. We were only there for an hour and a half and Dave was able to fix our issue with no problem! He did it very quick and efficiently as well and also explained to us what the problem was with the car. There was a pipe we had that was sliced through which is what caused the coolant leak (I believe this was it, I’m bad with car language lol). He replaced it with another pipe and BAM! Everything was fixed. It was gooder than before! (Dave will understand this joke, haha). He was very affordable especially with the whole towing. Dave is such a sweet man with a very nice family and a beautiful German Shepard named JoJo! Thank you so so so much Dave for your services. We really appreciate everything you and your son did for us. We definitely recommend him over any other mechanic we’ve been to!

2020-10-24Dave has worked on my 2001 chevy silverado a few times. He very busy, but would highly recommend him. Came by today to finish off a brake job, even with an injured leg. Cant get harder working than that. Thanks Dave and Wendy.

2020-01-16I originally made a good review HOWEVER a few days afterwards we ended up having to replace our wheel bearing that he fixed! Also he never texted or called us back, yes he got parts for cheap and did the work cheap but u get what u pay for I guess. He never came back as he advised he guaranteed his work any issues call, well Ive messaged him 2 days in a row with little to no responce also he never showed up to look at my car. Beyond frustrated and will not use his services again.
