I am thrilled with the results of my surgery. The experience with Dr. Hidalgo and the entire staff has been so supportive and informative from the very first appointment through prep and surgery and throughout recovery. Everyone has been accessible for questions and have done an amazing job guiding me through this process, really making it a very easy experience.
Dr. Hidalgo was amazing - he has the eye and hands of an artist. He never recommended more than he felt was appropriate for my situation which I felt was very telling of his skills as a surgeon. He was always happy to answer all of my questions, very courteous, patient and empathetic. I cannot recommend him more highly.

Dr. Hidalgo was an art major as an undergrad (part of his double major), and that is an important part of who he is as a doctor. He is a superb artist as well as a superb physician, and those are the qualities that make up the perfect plastic surgeon. He is a master at what he does. (He is also a heck of a nice guy... very down to earth and kind-hearted.) His staff is fabulous, by the way. Very sweet and VERY efficient.
Dr. Hidalgo is an AMAZING cosmetic surgeon. After seeing Dr. Hidalgos artwork on the walls of his office, there wasnt a doubt in my mind that this physician was not just a surgeon but he was also an incredibly gifted artist. The combination of those two skills was what I wanted from anyone operating on my eyes. I am thrilled with the results of having my upper and lower eyelids done recently. The entire process seemed effortless as Dr. Hidalgo was caring and professional every step of the way. I had zero pain and the bruising and swelling was minimal. Dr. Hidalgo was extremely thoughtful in my pre-surgery consultations and his follow-up went beyond any expectation I could have imagined. The staff was professional, considerate and very well attuned to what patients would experience. I am forever grateful for Dr. Hidalgos incredible work on my eyes and will continue to recommend him to all my friends and family. Dr. Hidalgo is amazing. This is the only plastic surgeon I would ever use. He is detailed, an artist, and thoughtful about accomplishing exactly like what will fit your lifestyle. I greatly appreciated his conservative approach around minimizing the scaring and balancing out a realistic size (while not going too small). His vast experience makes him stand out in his field. His nurses are good. I would have appreciated a greater factual knowledge but the bedside manor is great. Lastly, his front desk staff is fantastic, very easy to work with and goes out of his way to accommodate you. I truly appreciated this introductory face of Dr. Hidalgos practice.
The entire practice is very professional and I felt like I was in safe hands from the start. The office was also extremely accommodating and kind due to a personal issue I had right before my procedure.Dr. Hidalgo was straight forward and confident starting from the first time we met. This allowed me to feel confident in his hands and the results are FANTASTIC. Ive waited almost 30 years for this and I couldnt be more pleased.

After much time and deliberation, I decided to have a breast augmentation. I did my due diligence and made an appointment to meet with one of the most coveted and respected plastic surgeons in Manhattan. After meeting with Dr. Hidalgo at my consultation, I booked my surgery. He was warm and kind and clearly brilliant, and most importantly, made me feel comfortable and confident. His office staff was kind and considerate and always accessible and competent in answering any questions I had.My procedure went smoothly, my recovery was uneventful. The results were exactly what I wanted. I believe Dr. Hidalgos advice and consideration for what I was hoping to achieve resulted in my 100% satisfaction.Considering I rave about him to all of my friends, I felt it only right to give the same advantage to anyone who may be considering a surgical procedure with Dr. Hidalgo.
Dr Hidalgo has a calming and friendly manner to him which was greatly appreciated. He is thorough, talented and easy to talk to. From my initial consultation through to my post-op appointments, everyone at Dr. Hidalgo’s office was incredible. Ashley, Chris, MJ, Samantha - everyone was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and helpful. I had a number of questions prior to my procedure, and they were always super responsive, making the process feel easy.Dr. Hidalgo himself is a wizard. He is so detail-oriented - I look better than I ever have. It’s amazing how much one procedure can change your entire body image. I am now considering clothing styles and fabrics I would never have considered before. To say I’m happy I had this procedure is an understatement. I’m thrilled.
I chose Dr Hidalgo not only because of his experience and the good things I read about him but also because of his fine art background. I know that artists can immensely hyper-detailed and that is a quality you want in a cosmetic surgeon. I had an upper and lower eye lift and at 6 weeks I am blown away at how beautiful and perfect my eyes are. And they are not so changed that even my friends noticed. One said she just thought I was really well-rested. Dr Hidalgo and his staff were all totally professional, helpful and polite. The office is ally nice. I wish all doctors offices were like it. I would not change a thing except maybe do more over email and texting. (They do email but sometimes I had to call and I do not like using the phone.).
I am thrilled that I used Dr. Hidalgo for my eyes and chin. He and his staff were professional and put me at ease. My eyes look amazing. My eyes are the same shape but my eyelids are crisp and cleaner. It is now smoother and less puffy under my eyes. I even had to change my under eye concealer since I no longer have shadows to cover up. My chin implant really improved my profile but it is very subtle from the front.
I could not be happier with my results or the care I received at Dr. Hidalgo’s office. I was a little bit nervous going into the procedure and the staff as well as Dr. Hidalgo and Dr. Marn made me feel comfortable, and safe. I cannot recommend them enough 10/10 for me!!

My experience with Dr Hidalgo exceeded all of my expectations. I felt a sense of comfort and ease from the very first consultation. Dr.Hildago surpassed all my expectations. I had breast revision done and there were issues that would probably be too complicated for an average plastic surgeon. Dr. Hidalgo is one of the best plastic surgeons in NYC. I have seen him for three different procedures all of which have the most natural results, which is exactly what I wanted. Dr. Hidalgo continues to be ranked as one of NY’s best by other doctors. I spoke with one general practitioner who described Dr. Hidalgo’s work as meticulous. You can get a sense of that by merely coming in for a consolation. In his office there are drawings that Dr. Hidalgo has done of before and after procedures. These meticulous renderings, with their exacting detail, is a window into the artistry that Dr. Hidalgo brings to his surgical practice. He is not only an experienced doctor and a skilled surgeon, he also has an eye for proportion and detail that is essential to an outstanding plastic surgeon. Looking for a surgeon and making the decision to have cosmetic surgery can be daunting experience. For me, Dr. Hidalgo and his staff helped to make that experience a pleasant one.
My experience with the doctor and office staff was exemplary. Dr. Hidalgo spent a great deal of time explaining the breast reduction procedure. He explained the recovery in detail, and Diane and Jenny answered addressed all my concerns both before and after the procedure. In addition, they arranged for wonderful nurses for my aftercare at the Carlyle Hotel. The pain was negligible. Tylenol was all I needed to make me comfortable the day after surgery.
It has been 3 weeks since my surgery with Dr. Hidalgo, and I could not be happier with the result! I had my initial breast augmentation as a young woman and to put it simple, I did not understand what I was getting myself into. Shortly after my initial breast augmentation I developed capsular contracture of the left breast which left me not only in pain, but also deformed. As a woman in her younger 20s, one can only imagine the mental and emotional strain I experienced due to this situation. I was embarrassed to see and to be seen. It took me almost 10 years to find another surgeon I was able to trust. From my initial meeting with Dr. Hidalgo, it was easy to see why so many before me had entrusted their care with him. He is kind, compassionate, and reassuring. He was able to answer all questions I had whilst providing a realistic expectation. Christopher, Diane, and Ashley made scheduling appointments easy to say the least. They also offered reassurance and queried the doctor as well as the nurses whenever they were unable to offer answers or advice. Nurses MJ and Abi made me feel comfortable from the start, as well as recovery room nurse Amber and CST Ashley at the end. Dr. Marn, the anesthesiologist, was informative as well as compassionate. I went home from surgery without any post op nausea (which I have had issues with in the past). There was little pain experienced post operatively. The paperwork, website, and preoperative conversations had helped to put everything I experienced into prospective. There were no surprises along the way, which I can especially appreciate as a health care professional myself. Thank you for my newfound confidence. Its an entirely new experience to look in the mirror and to be pleased with what I see. I can say THANK YOU again, but a million thank yous simply would not be enough to show appreciation for what Dr. Hidalgo and his A+ team has done for me.
Dr. Hidalgo is the most kind, attentive and caring doctors I have ever met. He literally held my hand from consultation to 8 weeks post surgery where I am today. Any question and/or concern I have is always addressed either by phone or in the office. Dr. Hidalgos staff is as professional and knowlegeable as they come. I highly recommend you consider this office prior to making any final decisions as to who should preform your surgery.

Very positive experience, I felt safe and confident throughout the proceedure that I was in the most qualified hands. Dr. Hidalgo does beautiful, subtle work that has been commented on by close friends, family and colleagues. - I am happy with my result and would do the entire thing over again. I could not have asked for a better experience during surgery. - I thought the doctor did a great job of managing expectations and taking a conservative approach. I did not feel any pressure to go bigger and thought the result was in line with what I was looking for. - The actual surgery was incredibly easy, much easier than I wouldve imagined. I cannot highlight this point enough. I did not experience any bruising and recovery was fairly easy. - I had a lot of anxiety around the surgery as I was seeking normal breasts versus perfect breasts having never quite filled out and also having never experienced major surgery in the past. I was in tears during my first visit, the doctor remained quite calm and offered great insight into the process and what could be done. Throughout the following months though, I did think the staff could have been slightly more sensitive to what patients are experiencing emotionally during the process. With that in mind, they were wonderful overall once I committed to surgery.
From start to finish, the best care I have ever had. I had work done by two others surgeons in the past and this was an entirely diffferent experience. The staff, welcoming,professional and mannerly. The office lovely and imaculately clean. Dr Hildago looked at me like I was a piece of art. I could not be more pleased with the results of my neck lift. I only wish I had come here years ago!

Amazing doctor. I recently had a rhinoplasty and couldnt be happier. He made my nose look VERY natural, while getting rid of my dorsal hump. Its been 6 weeks now and a lot of the swelling as subsided and looks great. He is so so so down to earth and really gives you the nose that you want, but still keeping it so nobody can tell that you received a nose job. I couldnt recommend him enough, if you are thinking of a rhinoplasty, Dr. Hidalgo is the place to go.
I had known Dr Hidalgo from a previous procedure and was very happy with the results. I particularly like his gentle and concise manner: no hard-sell, no over-sell - just a genuine interest in knowing what you would like to achieve and with his medical expertise (and artistry) helping you obtain desired results. I could not be happier with removal w/o replacement of silicon implants (double cc, rupture on left, over muscle for 40 years). The results exceeded my expectations and look better than any results I viewed online, especially for someone who is 63 years old. If I were ever to consider any additional procedures, he would be the first one I would contact. His staff (medical and administrative) are professional and kind.

Thr office is so professional and has a calm, welcoming feel. You are greeted and treated with respect and dignity and feel so secure. You know after meeting the doctor that you are in the best hands. Day of surgery is like checking into the Plaza and you leave like a celebrity. Everyone that day handles you like your a special case.
From beginning to end the staff was amazing. Answering all of questions and easing my nerves. Dr Hildalgo was incredible at making me feel comfortable.
The worst plastic surgeon ever! He Did my tummy tuck and didnt take enough skin off, didnt lace up my abdomen muscles too name a few mistakes he made. After my surgery I had to go back to him to remove dog ears excess skin that looked like two knobs on the end of each side of the incision and he didnt take all of the excesss skin off then either. His explanation for my botched tummy tuck was- OH, i didnt take enough skin off taking too much skin off can ruin your insides.... 16000 DOWN THE DRAIN - and he did NOT offer to fix it!!! He is unethical as he is not at all talented in his craft.He seriously needs to put down the knife and recheck his ethics and rethink how he does tummy tucks -
The doctor made me feel comfortable with the whole experience, especially since it was my first surgery. He was very positive and accurate with what to expect and how my recovery would be.
Not good. Pretentious office staff and atmosphere. The worst is doctor not listening. Very weird office. They are good business persons - picking business among patients. But you got to pay no matter the doctor chooses you or not. They practice defense medicine to the extreme.
I have felt in excellent, caring hands for this entire process, beginning with a welcoming greeting upon entering the office, through every step of this procedure. That feeling of being so well cared for, makes all the difference to me.

2022-09-12I could not be more thrilled with the results of my procedure or with my whole experience here. This is an elegant practice in every sense of the word. The aesthetic is sophisticated, and all the people warm, professional, intelligent and highly competent. I felt myself in expert hands from start to finish. Most importantly, my specific case was challenging, but the results far exceeded my wildest expectations. With Dr. Hidalgo, you get the eye of a true artist without sacrificing the absolute BEST medical care in NYC.

2022-02-17I unequivocally recommend Dr Hidalgo. My experience with him in December 2021 was impressive. Professionalism and kindness is present everywhere in his practice. Each interaction with his staff reaffirms your trust in him as a top plastic surgeon. The staff is well-informed, friendly, and on time, in addition to being extremely kind and helpful throughout the whole process. There were several moments when it became evident that Dr Hidalgo was a serious doctor: One was when I went to get my pre-op exam with a doctor he recommends. My primary care physician was on vacation. I expected the doctor to perform the tests, but be a promoter of plastic surgery since he works with Dr Hidalgo. To my surprise, he praised Dr Hidalgo, but said that plastic surgery was surgery, and not risk free, and was clear about the risks and benefits of my procedure. Imagine that! Second, I got COVID a few days after the procedure. I was not sick, but I tested positive and my husband was sick. I was very worried about removal of the sutures. Dr Hidalgos office could not have been more kind and understanding. He arranged for me to come after hours to protect other patients, but took care of me. Deciding to do something that is so intrinsically associated with your self esteem is scary, but Dr Hidalgo and his team earned my trust. The results are exactly what I was looking for - a discrete improvement, with a very natural look.

2022-06-035th Breast surgery, incredible results!This was going to be my 5th breast surgery. Im 65 with a history of silicone implant rupture. I knew that I needed a surgeon that not only had plan A but also had the depth of skill and experience to move to Plan B, C or D if necessary. After consulting with Dr. Hidalgo and discussing many options I knew that he was the right surgeon for me. I trusted his skill and aesthetic judgement completely. He has an incredible eye for symmetry, proportioning, and breast to nipple ratio. His nipple placement is beautiful and natural. This is not surprising because he is also a very gifted artist and many of his beautiful works decorate the walls in his waiting room. Something that meant a lot to me was Dr. Hidalgos past work with cancer patients needing reconstruction. He was a former Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He is a kind and compassionate doctor!Dr. Hidalgo leads a wonderful team of surgical nurses, patient coordinators and front office managers. His staff took great care of me and they were always available to answer questions or help with logistics. Im grateful to my surgical nurse Meghan Foster for her care and competence both during and post surgery.At the time of writing I am 6 weeks post-op. My results are lovely, natural looking and beyond all my expectations! I have absolutely no regrets in choosing Dr. Hidalgo for my breast surgery and I have no hesitation in recommending him as a plastic surgeon.

On top of the outstanding results, Dr. Hidalgo and his entire staff treated me with exceptional care and compassion. 2022-01-31Dr. Hidalgo has outstanding surgical skills and writes for Medical Journals but there is so much more that makes him the best plastic surgeon. Dr. Hidalgo is also an artist which allows him to use his artistic talents and discerning eye to enhance peoples natural beauty, making his work look very natural. Not every doctor possesses all of these skills which truly makes a difference in the end result. His team is professional and knowledgeable and they truly care for the patient throughout the entire pre and post-op period. I could not be happier with choosing Dr. Hidalgo as my surgeon and with the results of my procedure. I cannot recommend Dr. Hidalgo enough and would not trust anyone else for my surgical needs.

2019-10-25I was very nervous to get my nose done but the second I walked into the office I felt very comfortable and cared for by everyone in the office. Dr. Hidalgo was very patient with me and understood the look I was going for without making me feel judged. He really took his time to perfect my breathing and my overall appearance. The swelling in my nose went away much faster than I thought and after two weeks I am already blown away with the changes. If you are looking to change the shape of your nose but still feel like yourself, I highly recommend Dr. Hidalgo. He is very intelligent, an artist, and an expert at what he does. I am very thankful for his work and extremely happy with my experience. If I ever decide to get another procedure done I will without hesitation choose him to be my doctor.

2019-02-20I started my journey looking for doctors located in the NYC area. After interviewing many physicians I decided to go with Dr. Hidalgo. I must say that was by far the best choice. I could not be happier with Dr. Hidalgos ability as a surgeon and his bedside manner.I felt that he listened to my thoughts and concerns and I felt extremely comfortable with his expertise.The staff in his office were amazing and so hands on. They were always available for any questions I had. I felt that they were truly invested in my well being and care prior to surgery and after care.With my surgery I required nurses and they were so professional and really hands on as well. Surgery can be scary and I felt like I was in the best hands.Overall experience was amazing and I would recommend Dr. Hidalgo and his staff for the best outcome for surgery.

Afterward, they ensured we were equipped for my recovery and called to check in.
