I have been searching for my next hairstylist for years in this city. I am so glad that I stumbled across Davida salon and that I had the pleasure of meeting Bianca. Bianca went above and beyond to make sure that my cut and color were absolutely perfect. Best hair cut and color I have ever had and over a month later my hair still looks amazing. I can’t thank Bianca enough! She was super friendly and made the entire experience wonderful. I am looking forward to my next visit with Bianca and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a fantastic cut and color!
Been coming to Bianca since January and today was my second visit and again, she DID NOT DISAPPOINT! SHE IS AMAZING!! Not only is she an extremely talented hairdresser, she’s also very personable. She takes the time to consult with you, listens to your suggestions but also makes her own suggestions, which I love and appreciate! You’re doing yourself a disservice if you book with anyone else!
I’ve been visiting Davida salón for 3 years now and I’ve been to 4 different stylist being that I’m a mom and I book last minute with whoever is available but the whole staff is knowledgeable and know what they’re doing! Today I visited Christy and I told her I wanted to brighten it up since I had a lot of my roots showing and she did a wonderful job! She was patient and along the way asked me if I liked the style before continuing! Book her she’s great!
I have finally found my hair stylist in the city! Ive lived here for a few years now and have had nothing but awful, overpriced haircuts. I would put off getting a haircut until I would go back to my hometown because I was just so sick of scissor-happy hair stylists. However, I have been wanting to chop off a few inches for a while now and on a whim, found this salon and booked an appointment for first available the next day and was booked with Gabby.Let me tell you: I AM OBSESSED. First of all, she is the sweetest thing and very laid back, which helped ease my anxiety. Then, I explained exactly what I wanted and we were both on the same page. I told her about my awful past experiences with getting my hair cut and she went little by little to make sure it wasnt too short, too layered, too thin, etc. We kept going a bit shorter on the length until it was perfect. When everything was done and blow-dried, I asked for a few more layers in the front and she did exactly what I wanted. She went above and beyond at every step.What I ended up with is hands down the best haircut Ive gotten in YEARS. I seriously cannot stop smiling when looking at/playing with my new hair. I have never had a better experience at the hair salon. I will be going to Gabby from now on and I HIGHLY recommend her. Seriously she frickin killed it!
I’ve been going to Davida for 3 years now… I love it!❤️ Michelle and Miriana have both done my hair and done an amazing job!! Susanna cuts my husbands hair better than anyone else ever has!! And everyone is so nice! It’s such an enjoyable, positive place to be!! They all listen to you and try so hard to give you exactly what you want and, most importantly, they ALWAYS deliver!! 🙌🏼
Finding a colorist who is good with red hair is tough but I came here for coloring and was SO impressed with Gabby’s work! She’s a true expert and gave me her honest opinion about what would work and what wouldn’t. The result was incredible and I am definitely coming here from now on. She’s super sweet as well.
Davida Salon is small but friendly and well-managed. Konstantin is great! He is thoughtful, careful, talented, attentive to client input, and responsive to client feedback. He spends time with his clients and does fabulous work with the flair, consistency, and finesse of a major salon stylist/colorist (at local salon prices). He is also a really nice guy!
First time customer, I asked for a classic haircut with layers, layers ALL around my head and fringe bangs to my cheekbones. I even showed her a video. She was only able to cut off the inches that I asked for. And did some sort of swept bangs. When I mentioned a second time I wanted layers l, all she did was add “texture” with some sort of scissor sheers. I left with very noticeable uneven sides! I paid 95$ Plus tip for shampoo, blow out and haircut. she completely rushed my service and tried to do all of it under 30 minutes. Just shows the lack of customer service and attention to detail. Take your money somewhere else !
I recently moved to NYC and have been looking for a great hairstylist and colorist. Though I did my homework, the first two salons failed my expectationse, even though highly rated. I dug a little deeper into online reviews and came across Davida, and recommendations for Miriana the stylist. I made an appointment, talked about what I wanted and she asked a lot of questions, long story short, I loved her work and highly recommend her (and not only for styling ability, but she also has a great personality)
I never dyed my hair before so I was super nervous to try something new. Miriana took the time to talk to me and really figure out what I wanted. She suggested a natural balayage and it came out absolutely stunning! She was incredibly considerate, a lovely person to talk to, and did a wonderful job!
Had a great experience at this salon! Everyone was very friendly. I was very satisfied with the work done by Rue. She was very good at explaining everything and informing me of the price beforehand. I highly recommend this place if you are in NYC and looking for a good hair salon.
I visited this salon to finish a long process of going from dark red to platinum blond. Chelly was my colourist and she was AMAZING! She got all the remaining red out of my hair. Chelly was multi-tasking because of how long my appointment took--I have a lot of hair. But she always made sure to be super attentive to make sure everything was correct. Martha did a treatment on my hair that made it so soft-I highly recommend this especially if you are colouring your hair to the extreme like I did. Rue did my blow out and she did an incredible job. I have only good things to say about this salon and everyone involved with my new look. Thank You so much Chelly, Rue and Martha. If I come back to NYC I will definitely come back.

AVOID if you have thick curly hair!! I called beforehand and told them specifically that I wanted to do a balayage with someone who knows how to deal with thick curly hair and they booked me with Suzana. When I arrived she told me she can’t really do my hair and would rather someone else do it. They booked me with someone else the next day with an estimate of$500+ way more than what they advertised on their website ($325 max)! I guess my hair type doesn’t really fit within their “range”, such a scam. Go somewhere else, that has more experience dealing with all kinds of hair instead of wasting your time.
Went to Bianca and let me tell you. She has great instincts. My hair looked even better than I expected! Very welcoming and really listened to what I wanted!
Absolutely love how Jozi did my hair, very quick and I would highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to visit this salon. Customer service was fantastic as well, Maha was clear with the pricing and provided a smooth transaction experience. Will definitely be back soon!
Suleyman is a top-notch colorist/stylist, and most importantly, he cares about and is responsive to his clients’ desires. Suleyman takes the time to work with me so that my cut and color turn out looking fabulous! He always has a positive and pleasant manner about him, which makes me actually look forward to the—necessary but sometimes feels interminable—prospect of sitting in a salon chair for a few hours. I recommend his work to family and friends. Thank you!
I had an appointment today with Christy, she is the best. I had a weird red color on my hair from a cvs color box I put on months ago, she managed to find the best color for what I requested. I wanted it to be blonde and she told me since the very beginning it was going to be hard because of the reddish. I am very happy with the final result, my hair was a real mess and it was really ugly. She did her best to make it as similar as possible to the picture I showed her. Thank you Christy you are really talented and I’ll be back soon!
I booked a last minute appointment at David’s Salon and was blown away by the cut I got from Miriana. I was cutting off significant length and was a bit nervous, but she was so helpful and sweet! I’m so in love with my hair and strongly recommend Miriana
My teen daughter has been going to Suleyman for about 2yrs now. She loves to have the front of her hair highlighted blonde and blown out. Every single time we have come Sulyman listens to what she wants has given her EXACTY what she asks for perfectly!! She comes in with and idea and leaves feeling like he brought her idea to life. Suleyman is kind and patient and always on time. He is always in a great mood and makes the whole experience so fun. We live all the way in NJ but we continue to travel all the way to the UES bc we LOVE his work. Hes maticulous and so talented. I can also say that the front desk staff is phenomenal, courteous and welcoming. Davida salon is really top notch. We love it!

Miriana saved my hair color! My brown hair had this hideous copper orange tone and it desperately needed help. Miriana blended beautiful colors to my roots and lengths and it looks awesome. Definitely returning for my summer balayage.

Adriana is amazing! Ive struggled with back to back colorists just sort of going rogue, ignoring what I ask for/my inspo photos completely and giving me something very far off from my goal. Adriana actually listened to me (imagine that!) and gave me the warm bronde I wanted!I also typically hate how my hair is blow-dried at salons. For some reason I always get very weird blowouts, especially at the front/shorter pieces. Adriana gave me the first blowout & style Ive LOVED in probably years. Also, I could tell her whole process was very thorough as well.
I have been going to this salon for Brazilian Blow Out, Hair Cut, and Balayage for over 10 years now. They are clean, professional, and very accommodating to the customers wants and needs. Everyone I know always ask me where I get my hair cut and colored because the color always comes out amazing. I leave out of the salon feeling like I can walk down the red carpet. I will not let any other salon cut or color my hair. I will be a customer at Davida Salon for as long as time permits.
I have been coming here for my balayage for the last 4 years and I will never leave. Suleyman aways takes such delicate care with my fine hair and I leave with a huge smile on my face every time. I had tried two other highly rated blonde specialists in the city prior to finding him and was so disappointed until I came here! ! My only complaint now is there secret is out and I have to book further in advance!

Bianca is amazing!!She did such a fabulous job on my hair.I came in with horrible orange/copper tones in my hair. I told her I wanted to go blonder and showed her a picture. Originally I told her I wanted a balayage. She explained that my hair was too short and suggested highlights would be better. I trusted her choice and I’m so happy I did. She made me feel beautiful again. She suggested I should come back to go lighter, and I definitely will. She has a client for life now!
I have been going to Davida Salon for years. They are the only place I trust to get my hair colored. This was the first time Suleyman was my stylist and there is no turning back! He listened to everything I wanted and the color is PERFECTION. If you are looking to brighten your hair as well as your day I couldn’t recommend him more! This review is for Suleyman. His hair cut and styling techniques are very sharp. Especially if you have a full head of thicker hair, not everyone can give you the bouncy lightweight cut without losing length. Also he is excellent at giving you a smooth balayage and can help you go pick the right tones. Excellent service overall and highly recommended

I came here to fix a badly done balayage. I had an appointment with Gabby and this is by far the best hair salon I have been to. The front desk woman was very welcoming and friendly and directed me to the bathroom and where I can sit and wait. When my turn was up, Gabby came to get me and for the next 30 minutes we spoke in detail about what I wanted. There were terms I didn’t understand and she had no problem explaining what everything meant. She was so patient with me because I couldn’t explain well what I wanted. She is extremely friendly, offered me beverages, and spoke to me throughout the process which didn’t take long at all. I am absolutely in love with this place and most of all, in love with the results. It’s the first time I get what I actually want color-wise. Thank you so much Gabby and Davida salon! I will definitely be coming back always!
Again! A 10/10 experience at Davida Salon. This time my stylist was Robbie, and I cannot believe the level of service. We sat for 15 full minutes consulting about my color and issues I’ve had in the past. He assured me he was ready for the challenge and completely lived up to his word. Did a full color correction while still providing me with a beautiful, healthy and completely new style. Coached me on how I can sustain color longevity, and made a slew of suggestions for how I can maintain my hair health based on what I told him about my current routine. Completely unique experience. Incredibly relaxing overall visit. He spent 6 hours making sure our vision came to life. Robbie is an incredibly gentle and generous soul, and truly curated a perfectly warm and comfortable experience for me during my visit. I cannot possibly express enough how grateful I am for what he achieved with my hair. He envisions potential, and brings it to life
They charged me 390$ for a bolayage and left the place with an orange and brassy hair. Then they tried contacting me to fixed it. Is so upsetting specially when they say is a professional place.
Please don’t go there! The stylist burned my hair doing other clients at the same time , I don’t see them sterilize the brushes n too much talking in different language n it made me feel like they were talking about me I really don’t like it here I’m never going back sorry the receptionist was rude and nasty when I told her I had an appointment!!!!!!!
Ive been to the salon before and saw bebe. She was not personable but did a decent job.I visited again in July 2021, and saw Rue.She was not able to give me the requested color.I came in for a) balayage, b) A hair cut, and a c) a blow out. I left with just balayage after the appointment started almost an hour late. I was also there for 4 hours. One strand of hair transitions to 3 different shades. When I tried to tell them (Rue and another associate) told me I was wrong and basically seeing things. I have maybe 4 shades of blonde w a brown base.The Manger reached out, and asked if I wanted to see Rue again. Which I did Not.Then she told me I would I have to schedule a consultation w another associate to determine if they could give me what Im looking for.Im looking for the color to be corrected, and to not have 3-4 differnt shades of blonde. But not sure why the staff doesnt care about happy customers or quality product.Never again.
I don’t really write reviews but I believe that this miracle worker deserves it. BeBe rescued my hair. I literally came into the salon with a terrible color job I got 6 months ago which faded into 4 different colors. BeBe took on the task and gave me this beautiful color and gave me back my confidence. I’m truly grateful to her!Everyone in the salon is friendly and it’s clean. They also checked my temperature at the door and I had to fill out a form on my phone relating to covid. They also have a separation barrier for each chair. I felt safe coming into this salon. Overall just an amazing salon/experience!
The people were nice and so was my hair cut but it’s so unfortunate that they don’t have experience with dominican hair. The blow out was not good and barely lasted. They need stronger blow dryers for all kinds of hair or state that they have no experience with that kind of hair..I was disappointed because I saw girls leaving with beautiful blowouts but I couldn’t say the same about mine. Also the stylist was a little aggressive when handling my hair.
I dont know of a more perfect combination of quality and cost. I have made Miriana at Davida my go to hair dresser since moving to New York. She does an absolutely amazing job every time and is able to understand what I am looking for with very minimal guidance. Could not have asked for anyone better! First time at Davida salon and possibly writing a Google review. I’ll start by saying Miriana did a tremendous job with my hair and you should go here for your hair needs! Needless to say, my hair became an unruly mess and only manageable by tying it back always. I was very self conscious because of this, but finally took a chance and booked an appointment at Davida for a haircut.The Davida staff made me feel welcomed. Miriana supported the ideas I had for my hair while providing her expertise in a down to earth and kind manner to consider and incorporate. Throughout the whole process of cutting and styling my hair, it was professional and pleasant. Miriana made my hair look great and feel the healthiest it’s been in years.I hope whoever is reading this will consider going here!
Very pleasant workers, nice service. I come all the way from queens to this salon because the quality great and the service is just as great! My color is perfect every time I see my stylist and his team of employees! I’m always happy to see everyone here and when I leave my hair looks fabulous! Amazing experience !About less than 6 months ago I went to another salon. The lady told me the color she put in my hair would last a year and I paid a lot of money for it. 6 months later my hair turned from red to blonde..Got lucky and got a last min spot with Russel to color my hair. He was amazing ! He explained everything to me ahead of time, cleared up any misunderstandings I had, etc. Gave me exactly what I needed.His assistant, Michelle, was there the entire way and she even cut and styled my hair. I’ve been trying to figure out for years the type of cut I want and she knew exactly what I wanted ! She’s amazing and I would def go back to her for a cut. I’d also go back to Russel for my color. And the price was AMAZING. DEF RECOMMEND!!!

It was my first time going to Davida and I will absolutely be back again! I get a blowout about once every two weeks and normally go to Drybar. As luck had it, they were fully booked and I was in a crunch, so I went online and found Davida. Moving forward, this will be my first call when looking to get a blowout! Temp checks at the door and digital waivers, staff and patrons all with masks, the salon is thoughtful and definitely follows Covid guidelines. As for the service, I had Bebe for my wash and blowout. It started on time, the wash was great and the salon uses waaaay better quality products than Drybar (Oribe). My stylist asked what I was looking to achieve and she delivered. I have curly hair and wanted a blowout with volume, it came out perfect and in great time! Fast but not rushed. Last but not least, the price was less than Drybar! Very happy all around! Thank you! Hope this review is helpful if you are looking for a new salon!

Just got my hair done by Saleyman & he is incredible!!! Was super kind, knowledgeable & most of all, made my hair look AMAZING! Its not easy finding a stylist that knows how to perfect the balayage so I HIGHLY recommend him.
I went to have my hair done by Leona. Here is a little back story, In May I put semi permanent blue over my highlighted blonde hair and it took 3 months to get the color out and hair still had a terrible green tint. Leona didnt falter or make me feel bad about my hair. She was ready to fix it and make me a blonde bombshell. I cant even explain the magic she created on my hair. My hair is multi- dimensional, healthy and show stopping. I will never see another stylist again. She is IT! Do yourself a favor and have your hair blessed by Leona.
Theyre trying to hide the truth! my hair is burnt and the worst coloring Ive ever had in NYC. judge for yourself. no one from the salon feels to be reimbursed for the destruction of literally burning my hair. one staff member says it is terribly badly done and will make a refund, then the lady calls and says she wont return anything. I know my rights and I wont let go. I wanted to give them a chance as a small salon but it was the biggest mistake in the world
4/26/2021- update - went back to see if anything could be done and the manager, Russel, completely turned around my hairstyle. He asked questions about by hair and maintenance and what I wanted vs didn’t so great. Hair god sent to the UES. Much happier and I really appreciate the effort to improve the original haircut.4/25/2021- original post - They get two stars because they didn’t Bebe left me in her chair mid-cut to blow dry and curl another woman’s hair (that woman already had a hair dresser working on her). Then she left a curling brush hanging in my hair while talking to the front desk lady.This is my second time here. I left in tears. My first time there was great (Rue).
Jenise. I cannot stress enough how perfect she is in her job for balayage or color correcting. She did an amazing job and SHE is honest if your hair is up for blonde or not when its already processed a lot and dry. I came with the idea of wanting to go blonde on my processed hair but right on she said it wasnt a good idea based on the state of my hair. Always believe in her judgment and as a hair stylist. So we went brown and caramel highlights; I do not regret it at all. Jenise is very attentive and does her job diligently. She is professional, fast, and accurate. Her assistant follows her instructions accurately. To this date, its been the best hair someone has done for me.So I went for a balayage, shadow root, and blow out. She lets you know about the process and pricing beforehand before proceeding, and the conditioning was a nice touch.
I rarely leave reviews but for the past 2 days FIVE people asked me what happened and who did my highlights. They are just horrific - chunky, cheap looking (nevermind $400 price tag) and look like it was done in a barbershop not in a top salon in NYC. Chelly is someone who should stick to coloring dark hair only (maybe a single color process only) - I was very upfront of what I need to get done.

I have never taken great care of my hair bc it’s frizzy and unruly and even when I get it done I always hate it.....until I met Leona. She is amazing!!! She listens to what you want but also intuitively knows, somehow, what you are trying to describe. Got a haircut with bangs (which is so scary) and blow out first time and was so pleased, I went back today for cut and color too. My hair has never looked better, this girl is really amazing! Her personality is also incredible and you feel like you’ve known her forever.
Suleyman was my stylist today, and he also did my daughter’s hair, and it came out so amazing! I am so happy I found this place - just look at their instagram and beautiful hair transformations that they do!I’ve been going there for 6 months now and would highly recommend it to anyone. This is an excellent hair studio, very skilled hairdressers/colorists, and pleasant, uplifting atmosphere. And did I mention very reasonable prices? Give them a try, go for highlights or balayage, they know their craft and will take good care of you!
This is the first salon I visited for my hair service. This salon is wonderful, and I am sticking with them! I have long wavy hair, and its hard to find someone who can cut and style it right. Ive gone back for coloring, and Im truly satisfied with the service they provided!
I went here in the beginning of June and had a great haircut and blow out by Russell. I have curly hair but sometimes straighten it! He made my hair look amazing both curly and straight! I went back again in August and made sure I made the appointment with him. I received a call, an email and text from the salon to confirm and of course I did! When I arrived, the salon was very busy. Russell was with a client and not even close to being done. The woman at the front desk was very nice but she said I can either wait for Russell to be done which wasn’t going to be for awhile or see someone else. I had things to do, so I decided to see someone else. I thought it was bizarre that they text, call and email to confirm, but they didn’t call to tell me they were running late. Anyways, I decided to take a gamble and go with someone else at the salon. She wasn’t very friendly and barely made conversation. The cut was fine at the time and the blow out was average. Once I washed my hair and the curls came back, the cut was TERRIBLE! My layers and angles looked awful. I won’t be going back. Too bad, because I had a great cut the first time.
The worst experience I have ever had a salon. Im naturally blonde and came in wanting to be blonder. Had a consultation with Chelly and explained to her what I wanted & provided photos.She did balayage and made my roots darker (for whatever reason I dont know). My hair looked nothing like the photos or what we had discussed. Of course, she knew that and apologized and offered to fix it. She very sweet and I trusted her to fix her mistakes. We then did highlights to fix my hair.The outcome is far worse than I could have imagined. Brassy, uneven, and terrible looking. I had arrived at the salon at 2:00 PM for a consultation and we finished at 8:00 PM. Delirious and tired I paid for my service $325 and left.I will now have to fix my hair, which will cause even more damage to my hair. I will be asking for a full refund from the salon.
Leona is truly talented! As others have mentioned, she really listens to what youre looking for and she gives honest feedback as to whats achievable and may even offer a compromise. I told her Ive been wanting layers to frame my face. After studying how other stylists have been cutting my hair she suggested a change and she achieved the style that Ive been looking for for years!!! As an Actor/Model I deeply appreciate her insight!!!

Russell is amazing with color!! I’ve been trying for so many years to get the right color highlights on my dark brown hair. I’ve payed a lot of money and the results were always disappointing. This place is a dumpster fire, please do not go here. The person who cut my hair absolutely ruined it, and when I called asking if they can clean it up since it was noticeably uneven they couldn’t squeeze me in night of (that’s if anyone here even knows how to cut hair) if you’re a guy in the area and you need a cut go to Manny’s Hair Styling. Davida Salon ruined my hair and didn’t even care to try and fix it before I was leaving town.
Today was incredible, not only was the store in general beautiful and professional but my hair transformation was indescribable. Walking in this morning, i was unsure but the staff made me comfortable and assured that they knew what they were doing. My hairstylist Suleyman exceeded my expectations. My hair came out way better then i thought it would. The quality is worth all the money. Not only did he care about the needs of my hair, he also did the best he could to give me the color i wanted. The color he gave me was better than anything I could have imagined. Suleyman is very talented and I appreciate all he did for my hair. Incredible salon for men and women! Diana is terrific for cuts and Russell does incredible coloring! My wife and I have been loyal customers for over 3 years and cant imagine going to another salon. Diana, Russell and their colleagues are very detailed-oriented and truly care about their clients satisfaction. The salons staff is not only friendly, professional and personable, but also passionate about their work. My wife and I are obsessive about every detail of our hair cuts (and her coloring) and are difficult to handle when it comes to our hair styling requests; however, Diana and Russell are so incredibly patient and responsive to our requests that each visit is truly stress-free and enjoyable! We highly recommend their salon and assure all future customers that they will not be disappointed!

She is really amazing and worked skillfully to give me the color that I wanted.The second time I went ,Danielle gave me a very nice cut and half head highlights. Chelly was so kind and did magic to my hair. She listened carefully to what I envisioned and also recommended a gloss (but wasnt pushy at all) since my balayage was getting brassy. I ended up going with her recommendations and Im so glad that I did. She is very meticulous and I will definitely return again. I wouldnt trust anyone else to chop off 6 inches of my hair!!!

When I booked my appointment online, I chose an appointment with Russell because of everyones amazing reviews of him. I was so excited! When I got to the salon, however, the receptionist said that all online appointments said Russells name but that they werent with him. This was clearly not true because other stylists had appointments online, but oh well. I figured it would be fine to have someone else so I didnt make a big deal about it.My haircut was not at all what I asked for. Im really disappointed with how choppy the layers are. And I asked for long bangs grazing my cheekbone - I got bangs that sweep across my forehead and hit my eyebrows. Those are NOT the same thing. Ive been trying to grow my bangs out for months and this haircut ruined that. The blow out I got was also ridiculous. I have short hair and asked for straight styling with a bit of flip at the ends, but got curls that made me look like a child. Im 24 and have enough issues with people thinking I look like a teenager.I really wanted to love this salon, but the more I play with my hair and try to style it since my appointment on Sunday, the more upset I am about the cut I got. I should have walked out when they said I wasnt getting the stylist Id requested. Im just hoping my hair grows out quickly.
Fabulous blonde balayage by Suleyman!I went in with a pretty rough looking box-red over dark brown wanting to go as blonde as possible. Suleyman was up to the challenge! He corrected my color mishaps and I left a cool, fabulous blonde. Plus he was understanding and excited to work the whole way through. A dream colorist, I could not be happier![Pics to come]

I asked for blond balayage but it turned out dark brown balayage. Not happy with the result but I think my styler did her best! Probably was my first and last time going to this Salon. Nice environment and friendly staff thou!

I went to Davida a few months ago for a trim and gloss. I had made an appointment and the salon was very busy when I got there. The first woman I spoke with had someone shampoo and condition my hair, and I was left in that station as she finished up another client for a while. Then she prepared the gloss and told another worker to put the gloss on my hair because she had another client. Afterwards, she decided she needed the chair I was in so they sat me back down at the shampoo station, but they both forgot about me. After no one came up to me for a while Russel asked me who was working on me and then asked the woman how long the gloss had been in my hair but the two previous women now both had other clients they were working on. Russel asked me what else I needed done and he immediately redirected me to a man who was very nice and did an amazing cut and blow out on my hair. All in all, it was a very unprofessional experience and I was there for over three hours, most of which was waiting for an employee to be able to work on my hair.
I’ve been here a few times now, and will continue to be a loyal customer. All of the stylists are professional and look out for their customers. I’ve never seen anyone leave unsatisfied. Euardo is a master cut artist and gives an AMAZING blowout!! Jenise is a color specialist and is especially great with blondes!! I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to my hair, so when I find a place I’m happy with, I must share! You won’t be disappointed with Davida.
If youre in to see Danielle you wont regret it. Danielle is the platinum/ice blonde guru and will treat you as if you were her best friend from day one. Ive been getting my haircut (long bob - recently bangs) with her for about 6 months now and I wouldnt trust anyone else. I also do my coloring at home (platinum blonde...duh) and instead of being bothered by it (like every stylist I know) she gives me the best tips and recommendations.
I give it 3 stars. Because of the service was descent and color was nice, i got highlights done by nessy i believe her name was but haircut horrible it was from short to medium to long and i had to go to another salon to get a new haircut. Even the lady asked who cut my hair that it was horrible had no shape to it. But thank god i had my hair fixed but for the price here it wasn’t all that. I thought it was going to be amazing by how they promote on instagram but i see they promote one kind. Never again.

Russell did my cut and a full set of highlights. This place may not look like much on the outside, but its a great place to get fantastic hair done. Plus, the prices for salon services are unbeatable. They use Moroccan Oil products.
Bebe was amazing! I was in NYC for work and desperately needed a haircut. I was coming off 3 months of a bad cut and she knew what to do right away. I have thick, long hair and can be really particular. Davida was recommended by a friend (who also was coming off a bad haircut. Aa gentleman cut hers and she was incredibly happy with it as well. Let me tell you my story about my blonde ombré failure done by my previous stylist. I really wanted an ombré look from dark to light blonde and my previous stylist decided to bleach my whole head (I had chocolate brown hair with red undertones) and after bleaching my whole head, he decided to give me HIGHLIGHTS which I did not request. The whole trip ended up being a huge large waste of money and he FRIED my entire hair. Completely killed everything. My hair started to fall out every time I washed it; chunks came out and the ends were ripping apart like strands of thin thread. I was extremely upset and wanted to fix this problem right away. So I began my hunt for a new salon and stylist and that’s when I came across DAVIDA SALON. I called and told them what I wanted and I was referred to ***JENISE***. I’ve looked at her portfolio online and decided I liked her work and went with her. Upon arrival, she was very sweet and cool and I got a really good vibe from her. As soon as she asked me what I wanted to get done (which was blonde balayage), she looked me straight in the face and told me up front, that whoever did my hair completely killed it and if I wanted to go to a different artist and have them steal money from me, then I was welcome to do so; but she WAS NOT going to destroy my hair any further and told me that I had to go dark and cut off all the dead hair (which I wanted too anyway cuz I wanted a bob cut). And so... almost 3 hours later, she did a PHENOMENAL job!!! Took her time to fix everything, make sure everything is symmetrical and color was on point!! Also any questions I had, she answered very straight up and politely. Also when she was washing my hair she was very gentle and did not hurt me and even massaged my head which felt really good and relaxing. You can see in my pictures the damage from the left from my previous artist and the outstanding job she did on the right. I am BEYOND pleased and happy and will 10000000% be a returning customer. 2022-06-11I got the pleasure of setting in Michelle’s hair and she gave me hair confidence that i haven’t had in along time! She will definitely be my stylist from now on. The environment was so upbeat. Nichole also helped me out over the phone to make an appointment and what i would need for my hair! I’m literally so obsessed with my hair. 2022-06-01Amazing experience. I’m so picky with my hair and have only let one person color it for 10 years. I’d literally fly home and get my hair done never giving someone a chance. I came to NYC and wanted to find someone here. David’s Salon did not disappoint!! Gabby did my hair and I’m honestly so happy. She was so caring and talked to me to make sure she understood me and what I wanted. She was so personable and made me feel comfortable immediately. She honestly did such an amazing job. I did balayage and wanted it blended well and she KILLED IT. Would truly recommend her to anyone.

2022-08-10If you are a blond, I HIGHLY recommend booking with Gabby! (If you arent a blond, I still recommend her). Ive been getting my blond (full head) highlights with her for over a year, and she does not disappoint! She has an eye for detail, really listens to what you want, and isnt shy to give her professional opinion, which I really appreciate in terms of matching my skin tone to shades, and just being realistic. After a year of getting blond highlights, I wanted to transition to my natural hair color (dirty blond) but still keep a sun kissed balayage look. I couldnt find a picture that really suited what I wanted so I just described it (yes I am that client LOL), but nonetheless she understood the assignment, and did MAGIC. I mean look at those pictures! I deff recommend her, and I will continue coming to this salon. Everyone is really nice, music is great, plus they offer water, tea, coffee, ... and wine!

2022-04-13I’ve been going to Davida Salon for 4 years. It’s gorgeous, clean, and has a friendly atmosphere. Sipping on some vino or coffee is a nice touch too. Suleyman is a gem! He knows exactly what I want when it comes to cut, style, and color. I recently had my first balayage done by him and walked away extremely satisfied and obsessed with the color! Before Suleyman, I never got the results I wanted with caramel and blonde highlights or balayage. Once you find your favorite stylist, you are set for life :) Thank you so much, Suleyman!

Gabby is my ultimate gal - she always takes a lot of time at the beginning to truly understand what Im wanting and asks tons of questions. 2022-04-07I had such a lovely experience at this salon. Very clean and professional all around. everyone was so nice! Bianca took care of me and did an amazing job (and I have a LOT of hair!!). I needed a hair cut very badly and she made it look great. She definitely knows how to handle curly hair and had some good advice for me. She was also so fun and nice to talk to! 2022-04-14I cannot go to anyone other than Suleyman . Any other salon experience has left me with results I didn’t want. Suleyman perfectly knows my hair and what results can be achieved. He is realistic and always leaves my hair gorgeous and fresh. Every time I leave Suleyman I feel new and pretty.
