CJ was AMAZING!I am a plus size woman so any clothes shopping sucks. Our appointment was later in the evening and we ended up staying until a little after closing and none of the staff minded. Everyone was positive, encouraging, and just knew how to make a difficult time for any bride-to-be fun.CJ was confident, fun, understanding of my anxieties and told me not to worry about my size. She listened to what I liked and disliked about dresses, picked out ones she thought would work out better for my taste as I modified my likes and dislikes and really made it as painless as possible.I qm a spring dress type of woman and thought I would hate wedding dress shopping, but it was a good time with my favorite girls and an awesome stylist named CJ.Thanks so much for making this special time in my life that much more memorable.
I just had my final fitting for my wedding dress. I am really impressed with the level of skill and knowledge in the alterations department. The head of alterations is kind and knows her stuff. I trusted her judgment along the way with length, bustle, and fit. I am so glad I did. My dress fits like a glove and the length is perfect for a night of dancing. She is kind and respectful, definitely makes you feel comfortable from start to finish.
I never write reviews and this one will be long but it needs to be done. I originally worked with a Davids Bridal in Maryland to get a bridesmaid dress. They were an absolute nightmare from the start. Months after ordering the dress I still hadnt received it. Turns out they gave the dress to someone else, refused to work with me on getting it here on time (less than a month to the wedding), and expected me to pay for overnight shipping with the possibility I could have it by the wedding. So I canceled the order and thought in a last ditch effort to get a dress in time for the wedding I would call my local store. I spoke with someone ( I believe her name was Julie.) And she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I got my original dress in time for the wedding. I couldnt have been more happy. I went from a frantic mess to completely calm. I highly recommend the store. They went above and beyond and even got my dress here earlier then expected.
I had a lovely experience with this David’s bridal alterations department! They were very accommodating and very sweet to my needs. I’m A maid of honor for my best friends wedding and they made sure my dress was perfect and if I had any problems with the dress they were willing to fix it and make accommodations for me. When I get married I am definitely going back there to have them do alterations on my dress!
I have had some mixed experiences in the few times we have gone to this location, but I wanted to come and write about our experience with Allie! During my fiances appointment she was so incredibly sweet, excited, involved, and patient with the fact we had no idea what we were looking for. I felt like she was genuinely invested in us finding what we wanted, and the dress my fiance chose in the end was actually one Allie found for us. I went back later for my appointment with another stylist, and Allie saw us back in there, came over and helped my fiance find the accessories she had worn during her appointment, saw us in our dresses together, and had a level of excitement that made us feel so amazing and special. As members of the LGBTQ community, we do not always feel celebrated and welcomed, and Allie made us feel 1000% accepted throughout the process. Allie gets 5 stars plus, the store itself 3, so well average it out to a 4 star rating.
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFULI have now been to two separate locations of DB and this one was, by far, the best. Everyone was so great and kind but Bailey, especially, styled me perfectly! She was so kind, so helpful, and made it so magical even as I cried like a baby. Props to her for putting up with that! Then cashing out was so smooth with Julia as she made it so fun for my cheap-self to shell out hundreds of dollars. Lol. She really emphasized my savings and that’s what I like to hear! The overall experience is so fun there!!!! 10/10 would recommend that everyone travel to this location even from out of town. I live over an hour away and I, honestly, am excited to come back and pick up my gown-just to see them all again!
The alterations department was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. My dress needed a minor tweak after my first fitting, and the head of the alterations department saw to it personally to make sure everything was perfect as my dress is highly detailed and not originally from davids bridal. My dress now fits like a glove and looks amazing!
Allie was amazing! I was a walk in looking for a dress for one wedding coming up quick and ended up with a beautiful dress for all of the weddings I have coming this summer and then some! It’s absolutely beautiful and she was a huge help. I’m a plus size so finding a dress in my size is difficult. Finding a dress I LOVE even harder lol
Ashley, the store manager, was amazing at the Rochester, NY store! She truly made our day and our prom dress shopping experience! I am so glad we gave Davids a chance! We couldnt stop saying how lovely Ashely was the entire drive home! She is a gem of an employee and you are lucky to have her! She was a delight and because of her I would absolutely go to Davids again!
Bailey was amazing as our consultant. She was kind and knowledgeable. She picked out options I would not have considered but loved! She was amazing with the accessories as well. I’m very happy with how my dress fitting went!
We had to reschedule our appointment last minute and David’s Bridal was super accommodating. When we got there everyone was very sweet and helpful. We picked a bridesmaids dress with the help of Lane. She was so nice and incredibly helpful. She was amazing!
The entire staff from beginning to end was amazing to work with. I have to give a special thank you to the alterations ladies. My daughter dress was absolutely perfect. Worth every penny and then some. You will be getting all my business forever. 💜💜💜💜💜
Gabrielle was an exceptional and professional bridal stylist! She knew exactly what would look good on Amanda and offered suggestions for veils and accessories. She was so patient with our group! We’ll definitely be back for our “mothers” dresses, the bridesmaids’ dresses and flower girls’ dresses.
I had an amazing experience between dress shopping and alterations. Taylor helped me with dress shopping appointment and I never felt rushed and pressured at all. Kat was a delight during my first dress fitting appointment with making me feel comfortable and giving me all the necessary breakdowns and details for the process.I chose a point bustle at first and then decided after it was complete that it wasnt a good fit for my dress. I should have listened to Kat during my first fitting. Looking back once she said the royal is a beauty and the beast vibe I should have known it was the one for me. Follow your gut through the dress shopping/alterations process!I called and spoke to someone in alterations and they were so understanding and were able to get me in for another fitting in time before the wedding. Mind you the issuing being that I CHOSE the wrong bustle and wanted a different one. I did not complain or go into the situation blaming them because it wasnt their fault. I made that mistake on my own and paid to have a new one willingly. Otherwise the point bustle they did was great just not my preference and again I shouldnt have chosen it.So Katarina and Ole took my second bustle appointment and knew exactly where I went wrong and we decided on the royal bustle. They were so sweet and attentive to the details and showing me how it would look to ensure it was what I wanted. Picked up my dress yesterday and I couldnt be more pleased with the result. Its stunning and Im so happy!!!
Hello, so I am giving this business 5 stars today due to the amazing work and effort Olimpiada put in to make my best friends dress a masterpiece. She was very attentive and listened the whole time to any concerns. She is an amazing woman and highly recommend you see her when you go to this shop to find your perfect dress.
Right when you walk in the entire place smells really strong like cigarettes. Im 4 years cigarette free. So I can pick it up easily, but it was strong enough throughout the whole store I left within 10 minutes with a headache.Allie was really helpful and kind for the short time I was there. This can be a really overwhelming experience and she was really supportive about it.
I had so much fun at the Davids Bridal in Henrietta finding my dress! Kasia made the experience really laid-back and relaxed. I tried on many different styles and never felt rushed. There were several other brides trying on dresses, but I felt very attended to, and enjoyed seeing them in their dresses too. Topped it all off by finding The One and ringing the bell, tears and everything. So glad I started and ended my search for The Dress here. Thank you!
I went on Saturday 6/4 with my bridesmaids and felt extremely rushed. I booked an appointment for my bridesmaids which they knew so booking two appointments back to back should of been offered in the beginning. 25 minutes into our appointment we were already told we need to hurry up. One of my bridesmaids were from out of town so I didn’t want to just leave but I wanted to just walk out. Now we picked our dresses and I don’t even feel confident on the dresses. Yes I like the ones we picked out but I didn’t even have a chance to really see them all to know I got the best dresses. Smh 🤦🏽♀️And I will not be booking them for my wedding dress!!!
I thought I found the perfect dress for my wedding I was so excited. I was told that I needed a petit size due to my short stature. When the dress finally arrived it was the wrong dress. I was told by three David bridal stylists that they could alter the dress and if I brought in my own material ( black lace and appliques) they would have no problem adding it to the dress. Fast forward two months before my wedding to my second fitting. I was told to lose weight, I was too heavy (Im 51 and 140 lbs) and that they would not be customizing the dress. Devestation doesnt even describe how I felt. Needless to say I took my dress somewhere else to be altered.
My daughter is getting married and that, alone, can be overwhelming. But to have them hand her tags and tell her to pick dresses, after she submitted their form so they would know what she had in mind...what was that even for? The girl that was supposed to be helping her didnt seem to listen and continued to suggest dresses that were what she had already said she didnt like. Very disheartening. Luckily she went to another bridal place, Scarlet Bridal Boutique, and Sharon was amazing.
I previously had my wedding dress altered by a different tailor and wasn’t happy with how it turned out. So, I brought it to DB in Rochester and ended up absolutely loving it. Oli and Liv tailored the dress PERFECTLY and at a good price. They were so sweet and kind. Thank you so much, Oli and Liv!!!
My daughter and I went prom dress shopping at David’s where she found a beautiful dress, belt and shoes. When we went in for our fitting appointment there was a stain on the front of the dress…panicking mom moment!! Katerina was calm cool and collected she brought out the Alterations Manager Oli and they tried to get the stain out, which didn’t work. They didn’t think we had enough time to re-order so Ashley the Manager and Katerina helped us go through to find dresses in my daughters size, which we found one. Oli did the pinning and adjusting and her dress will be ready for pick up in time.I was so grateful for their calm cool attitudes and kindness, it made a difficult situation so much easier and I would totally recommend David’s as their staff was wonderful

What an amazing shopping experience. I honestly was hesitantly optimistic about what my experience would be like buying my bridesmaid dress here for my sister-in-loves wedding. I was blown away. Kasia was INCREDIBLE she was patient, so so helpful and incredibly kind. I am so lucky to have had her and if you are at the Henrietta store you would be smart to request her. Not only Kasia but everyone in the store was so helpful including other stylists, and Julia, Joanne and Maeve we so patient and kind in the front. Highly recommend especially if you can work with any of these lovely ladies specifically.

Back in April, my Mom and sister(from Texas) helped me shop for a mother of the groom pant suit at Davids. Everyone was wonderful and more than helpful!! Today I went for my fitting which is 2 months before the wedding and I couldnt be happier! Thank you to all!!
I was dreading going in to try on dresses bc I’m not at my ideal weight. Well let me just tell you, Kasia turned my whole thought process around and helped me find the perfect dress!!! She really listened to me, paid attention to what I liked and had the best attitude ever! I felt like I had known her forever. Everyone in the Henrietta store was extremely nice. So thank you Kasia for making my experience one of a kind and for making me find my perfect “wymsical” dress!!!
Olie and her team were so amazing for my wedding dress fitting. They made me feel so good and had so many ideas to help make sure my dress comes out beautiful for my wedding day. I couldn’t recommend it more.
I came in with my girlfriend to look for a dress to her navy ball (she already has one to wear so it was just me looking). I havent had too many moments since coming out that made me feel uncomfortable being out in public but sadly this was one of them. Maybe I should have expected as much coming to a bridal shop but either way we did not feel welcome there (except for the cashier who was very sweet!!)
My mom went in just to look and found a dress she loved! She did not have an appointment but they let her try it on anyway and it was perfect! The manager Ashley helps us out immensely and gave my mom a wonderful experience. Thank you!
Went with my friend as her MOH and the mood was brought down the minute we walked in. Felt rushed and very cramped. The bride was immediately overwhelmed and only tried on a couple dresses before calling it quits. I know the consultant was trying her best but not at all a pleasant experience.
Our experience here was fine. The bride was able to find a dress, but had an inconsistent experience based on which staff member was helping her at any given time. Definitely some pressure to buy now even if the event is farther away.
My wife and I came here to pick up a bridesmaid dress for a friends wedding coming up in November. The dress requires some alterations. When the alterations manager came out to take a look at the dress on my wife, she stated that my wifes belly was too big and that she needed to do leg presss , there are a few weeks before alterations so theres time for her to lose a few pounds and that if the shoes she wears adds an inch, it may make the body look better. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! My wife and I are trying to have a child, she is currently taking hormones that cause her weight to fluctuate! Regardless of this fact, this is NOT how you speak to customers! It is taking me a lot to keep this review free or vulgarity, but rest assured we will be speaking to management about this situation. We will never be purchasing a dress from this location ever again.
Diana and Brooke are the best! When my daughter thought her wedding dress was a huge mistake, they helped her find her dream dress and made her feel so beautiful. I could never thank them enough for what they did for my daughter.
This place has really gone down hill I’m a bride this year and I went here to get a dress over the summer the staff is not welcoming or inviting during my appointment I got left by two different workers so I took my business else wear which isn’t a big deal but my bridesmaid got her dress here and when she got the final fitting the woman working with her made backhanded remarks about her weight and then rolled her eyes at the shoes she’s wearing. Just unprofessional and honestly rude!
Kimmi at the front desk was absolutely AMAZING! I had some problems come up with a dress I ordered months and between the help of Kimmi and online corporate I was able to get everything figured out! She was beyond wonderful and highly recommend her if your coming to the rochester location ❤️

I needed to try on dresses so I knew what size to order online. I came in the store with my rowdy 4 and 6 year old and CJ helped me and was patient and understanding! Got my dress and accessories on clearance too.
13 years ago I got my first bridesmaid’s dress altered from Oli. Every bridesmaids dress and prom dress after that I always had the alterations done by Oli. The one time I didn’t, the dress was ruined! Fast forward 13 years and Oli is still there doing impeccable work! Katarina and Oli were so sweet and kind to work with, and of course did a great job! If you ever need a dress altered, you can trust Oli and Katarina to take good care of you and have your dress turn out perfectly!
Julia was amazing in helping me find the styles that I came in to look for as a bridesmaid and she even introduced me to some new ones. She’s friendly, personable and a great stylist overall!
They have been great so far. Service was good in both the sales and alterations department. They worked with us to exchange my granddaughter’s dress that was too big.
I went to DB for alterations on a bridesmaid dress I got from another shop. Not only did Olimpiada and her team do a great job on the alterations but Oli even made sure I knew the correct order to have someone zip me up and how to make sure the girls are in place once the dress is on. Thanks Oli!!

2022-07-28I had an amazing experience here. The manager Ashley R was incredible. She was super helpful and made us feel like we mattered. We had some issues finding the right size for my dress and she helped us at 2 different visits. She made this experience so much less stressful and we couldn’t be more grateful to have met her and had her help us. The other employees were also great. Even with the few issues we had they always tried to make the situation better for me. Thank you so much ladies!

2022-08-01This was the first dress try-on appointment I made and was overall pleased with how it went. Bailey was my stylist and she was super attentive and very helpful, I couldn’t have survived that appointment without her! I brought my mom, grandma, future mother-in-law, my aunt and 3 cousins with me. The down sides were that there was no seating available for them which caused some upset when it came time for me to come out as I was trying on dresses and they felt like they were constantly in the way of others too. The manager, though she was nice, seemed very aggressive and micro managing the employees which was off-putting. Nevertheless, I found my dream dress and am happy to say that I found it at David’s Bridal and would recommend to others!

2022-02-18I went in for my bridal appointment and felt extremely rushed. It was clear to me that my consultant hadnt looked at my file at all, even though I took the time to do my style quiz and even called the shop to tell them which dress I wanted to try on and the styles I wanted to see. The only dresses available to try on were $1,000+ or extremely plain despite more than half of their online inventory being dresses that at are gorgeous and are $500 or less at full price. At least I got to find out what my dress size was. I ended up ordering my wedding dress off their website for $350 and its gorgeous. So overall experience is Okay.

2022-07-30Amazing all around! I have been working with Davids Bridal for the past year for my dress, my daughters dress, my bridesmaids dresses, and my flower girls dresses. Along with the alterations team for the work on my dress. Everything and everyone has been amazing, and I cannot say it enough. Most recently Ive been working with Ole, Kat, Natasha, and Olivia in alterations and all four of these ladies were wonderful. I just picked up my dress and its better than when I first fell in love with it. I cannot wait to wear it on my wedding day, and will definitely brings my friends to shop there as they all get married.

2022-05-25Allie was my stylish. She was absolutely amazing and made every single moment smooth, fun, and very memorable. She was so patient and had super stylish ideas that I would have never thought of. If you want a stylist that knows exactly what to do, is incredibly friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional while being one of the girls, Ashley is your girl! 2022-06-23This has been my David’s Bridal since I was in high school. I got my senior prom dress here, I have gotten countless bridesmaid dresses here, so it only seemed fitting that I get my wedding dress here.Allie was wonderful. She wasn’t there for the purchasing of my dress- but she was there when I needed help with deciding a belt. I was honestly super picky and she just kept coming with idea until we picked something I loved. Manager Ashley was super friendly and didn’t mind having a conversation with me as I told her about my experience with Allie.Associate Lila was super friendly and had a super cute hairstyle- and overall this interaction made me feel like I was with friends. I honestly did not want to leave.Thank you Henrietta David’s Bridal. Thank you for reminding me that there are others who are bubbly and spirited.❤️❤️❤️Can’t wait to have my special day knowing I’m wearing Allies belt creation! ❤️

2022-07-03The staff in the alterations department was absolutely wonderful! I had such a great experience. I tried on my dress and everything fit wonderfully, I just wanted the straps to be a little looser. The staff in the alterations department adjusted the straps right then and there, allowed me to try it on again, and it fit like a dream. So thankful for the alterations departments hard work to make my dress perfect for my big day!

2022-08-20I bought my wedding dress here 21 years ago and now have a son getting married and bought my dress here again! What a treasure for Rochester! Super customer service - great selection a great prices! They really take their time with you and offer suggestions and are very helpful and professional. I even had the same woman do my alterations 21 years later! She is training the next generation! So patient, so knowledgeable and so so friendly and kind. This is hard to find these days! It makes a difference to feel taken care of for such important occasions! I hope the next generation women are there 20 years from now again! Thanks so much!Jennifer

2022-07-28From the moment we walked in my mom and I had a great experience! It was calm, efficient, and welcoming experience. Bailey was my stylist and she was great. She understood what I was looking for and was very knowledgeable about the dresses available. She struck the perfect balance between opinions, professionalism, and compliments :) I found my dress today with her help and couldn’t be happier!
