It was worth the wait!I had the opportunity over time to interact with most of the Davis Furniture folks. Everyone was a true pleasure to interact with.A very special shout out and thank you to Elaine for all the handholding through the decision process in choosing a couch and fabric - she is one patient and understanding lady. Thank you to John for being the epitome of an excellent business man when I came in recently concerned that the sofa would be too big. He quelled my concerns. I am happy to report the sofa is just the right size. I ordered a couch, bedframe and mattress/boxspring in the showroom and it was delivered today. Both experiences were excellent; all three employees were courteous, friendly and helpful. The furniture was in pristine condition and of very good quality. I would not hesitate to buy from Davis again and will recommend them to my family and friends

Davis Furniture is one of those hidden gems that are very easy to pass up. Not so glitzy from the outside, but dont be too quick to be judge. If you do, it will be your loss! The first time I walked through the door I was immediately greeted by John. He made me feel comfortable and then he left me alone to browse. No pressure at all. Downsizing from a 4BR home to a townhouse and buying all new furniture, dealing with extensive delays due to not only real estate issues, but also COVID was an overwhelming process. Elaine very willingly partnered with me, held my hand and worked with me to help me make the right decisions. Throwback to the days of good old fashioned personalized customer service! The first day I just browsed. When I returned about a week later, and Elaine greeted me by name, I felt the stress leaving instantly. The furniture that Davis offers is excellent quality, pricing is excellent, and most importantly it is completely evident that this small family owned business cares about its customers. Absolutely the type of business that deserves your support! Dont hesitate - go see them!
Great furniture store. We have gotten a couple pieces there and have been happy with our purchases. We love that they dont follow you around the store and pressure you. They are very pleasant and always willing to help.
We visited the Davis Furniture showroom to look at powered loveseats and lift chairs. My wife and I were so pleased with our experience! The staff was so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the products they carry, and were not in the least bit pushy. We wound up selecting two pieces, and were pleased with the price we paid. They were delivered yesterday, and theyre marvelous ... excellent quality, well-built and comfortable, just what we wanted! Our delivery crew, Frank and Reggie, were on time, super-friendly and saw to it that everything we were promised by the staff was done correctly, efficiently and with a smile. I love giving business to a deserving, local, family-owned and operated business that treats its customers so well. We are thinking of possibly buying a new dining room table and chair set in the near future, and you can bet that well be going back to Davis Furniture for that purchase as well!
We had an emergency need for a power lift recliner for my 92 year old dad when his chair stopped working. We were able to get the new chair and a new nightstand delivered to him immediately. I am so thankful to Davis Furniture for making this happen.

Found the most beautiful bedroom set on line but didnt trust on line stores. Contacted Davis furniture and their representative Elaine. She ordered our set and it came in a timely manner. Their delivery guys were excellent, by far the best delivery I have ever had. Great guys !! Look forward to doing business again.
Davis Furniture is family owned. They take their service seriously. They helped me find a beautiful mattress within my budget. I can’t say enough about everyone there. I actually ordered a mattress from another store. I called to go over my order and went to the store to go over it in person. That salesman was rude and too busy texting on his phone. I walked out. It didn’t matter to him.This morning I called Mattress Firm and cancelled my order. Never even got a question why. I called Davis Furniture and told them I want my mattress from them because of their service.I will be speaking to the owners of Mattress Firm when they get back from vacation. I will let them know of the poor service I received and that’s why I cancelled my order.I highly recommend Davis Furniture for all your furniture needs at great prices quality and service.

My husband and i Visited Davis furniture about a month ago. We spoke with John and he was very caring and kind. He gave us lots of information to help us decide on a mattress, since we were choosing to no longer have a waterbed. He showed us product and left us to talk as we tried each one. Family owned, amazing prices, and super helpful without being pushy!Came here for the first time this past weekend after having no success finding what I wanted at Raymour, Ashleys or Bobs..SO HAPPY I DID!!Almost all of their couches are customizable, with 100s of different fabric options.. The gentleman helping me was so understanding and patient, and helped me find exactly what I was looking for!I almost bought my couches from Raymour, but I wasnt in love with them.. so glad I didnt jump the gun!They also have FREE DELIVERY, which Raymour doesnt.Will definitely be back any time I need to purchase furniture!
My parents purchased living room furniture form Davis. The salesman was professional and didnt pressure us into anything. The delivery people were very nice and they even took away the old furniture. Highly recommend going here to buy furniture. This store has so many options on sizes and lots of fabrics, including stain-free fabrics. They have amazing quality on all their products. I bought my comfy bed and both my sofas from this store. The warranty is amazing. The salesman and saleswoman was very friendly and made shopping for furniture very easy. There were a lot of deals on items I needed. Delivery didn’t take that long as they said which was convenient due to my work schedule. Delivery went smoothly. Davis furniture is a family owned company. They are the friendliest furniture store in Dutchess County. I have had many encounters with them over the years and they have gone out of their way to make my family feel cared for. Davis furniture is a great place to buy a mattress. During this time you make an appointment so you are the only one in the store. I told John, the owner, what I was looking for and he showed me different choices. John allowed me to look and try out different mattresses without any pressure or pushy salesman behavior. My mattress and headboard came in a few days. The delivery guys came in masks and took all my old stuff away, which was awesome, and put everything together. They were very professional and even helped me pick out my mattress cover! When they left I couldn’t stop staring at my new bed. I really love my headboard. It’s very pleasing to the eye and supportive. Thanks for a good shopping experience, especially during these tough times.I had to come back and add to my review. So the mattress I chose wasn’t right for my comfort. I thought it was at the store, but it’s hard to tell. So after a few days I knew I had to change it. John said to come in and try other mattresses. I went back and took my time. My goal was to lay on a mattress and say this is heaven. So after trying 2 I tried one more and said this is heaven! I love love my mattress!!! And a few days later I had a question about the mattress and it was the holiday weekend. I emailed John and he got back to me and then he went to the store to check my mattress and he emailed right back. He answered my question and all was good. But the best part was that John took his time during a holiday and the store was closed, to see what I was talking about. I then felt better and was assured my mattress was good. I love sleeping on my mattress and every time I lay down I say this is heaven!! Thanks John and your team!

I have had my DAVIS CHERRY BEAUTIFUL GRADE A SUPER BEAUTIFUL BEDROOM SET for over 40 years now. I STILL....sleep beautifully on the mattress which is still original and STILL is as firm as a beautiful lady who works out at LA fitness. I take that back...its been better than that. The dresser and chest of drawers still slide out on those bearings like the day I bought the set. This is some EXTRA FINE FURNITURE and I would NEVER, EVER buy another brand. Folks....you are about to win me over...! The BEST...and no, I do not know anyone who works at Davis. Its simply the best furniture Ive ever had. Thank you Davis. You feel relaxed browsing furniture in this place. They have so many choices in terms of fabric, sizes and colors too. Staff was accommodating and informative on where to look at, sale items at the back, etc and still feel comfortable checking whats in store by not following you everywhere.

Terrific experience there recently, no one pressured me, but they were tremendously helpful and knowledgeable. They have a different formula than the other stores. They don’t try to sell you more expensive items that you don’t need. They worked within my budget and found me things that the other stores said weren’t available. It was like a throw back to the days when you would shop at a local business that did business the right way. Everything couldn’t have been easier, they worked within my budget, got me exactly what I needed and the delivery guys were the best I’ve seen. I will definitely be a customer for as long as I live in Poughkeepsie. Too bad they don’t have stores in other states too since I move around a lot.
The selection and service is second to none. My husband and I are repeat customers and they were nice enough to give us discount on top of discount. Theres no pressure allowing us to stay all day in the showroom answering all of our questions. Beat all other vendors and fastest delivery.

I went looking for a bed with my wife so we went to Davis furniture because they are a local company.We were ready to buy then .A salesman we talked to seemed like he was in a rush and promptly excused himself after about 5 minutes .We waited for a half hour for him to come back but he never did.He was with another customer .No apologies no answers, nothing.I am a sales manager for a local company, if a salesperson ever did this he would be fired immediately.Not even an apology.Needless to say we walked out .On top of that after comparing prices we found Davis to be dirty with stuff all over the place and high priced A company that would hire a salesperson like this will never get my business . BEWARE OF FAKE REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY.

2022-02-18We had a great experience at Davis. We wanted to change the chair cushions on a brand Davis represents and also buy 2 new chairs. Their desire to help and offer the best prices etc was awesome. We worked with Peter and he went above and beyond i his willingness to help. He kept us up to date and the order was completed yesterday and delivery was great. Highly recommended.

2022-06-04If you are looking for quality furniture and superior customer service Davis Furniture is your go to place. I purchased a couch and chair from another local furniture store. Picked up myself to save $150 delivery fee. When removing the plastic covering not one , but both pieces of furniture were damaged. When I called to complain, the manager would not get on the phone with me. I was frustrated. The following day I stopped at Davis Furniture. This should have been my first stop. No pressure, no hovering over you while you are looking, extremely helpful and no delivery charge if you are local. They deliver within the time frame you are given. John went above and beyond in helping me acquire this bed which really had been a Godsend. The delivery was easy, tidy and seamless. The crew was so pleasant and a great way to start my day. 2021-11-03I know I’ve left a good review elsewhere but had to come back. Just got a delivery of some bedroom furniture and the delivery guys are amazing! The delivery guy fixed a piece of furniture I had purchased in the past that had an issue, he definitely did not have to do that. As always, Davis Furniture exceeds expectations with shopping, pricing and delivery. You guys are the best!

2021-07-26Oh I love Davies furniture we purchased so many things from them and they last its not like going to another store and buying it and having to throw it away after 2 years theres no comparison we purchased a recliner chair and we had it for a little bit they took it back cleaned it up for us and while I was there of course I saw something else that I wanted to purchase John and his family are very pleasant and we go no other place if we see something in another store we speak to him about it and he gets it for us
