My visit to Davis Vision was worth five stars. I was waited on by Maritza, who was friendly, polite and very pleasant. She was helpful and explained all my options without pressuring me. I was definitely satisfied after being helped by her. I would highly recommend Davis Vision to anyone.
I had a great experience with both Dr. Roth and Maritza. My visit was for an exam/contacts and once there I decided to look at frames since mine had recently broke. I explained my situation to Maritza and she was kind and accommodating, helping myreplace my broken frames, price check others and even help fit glasses I already had that were not fitting correctly. I wish all customer service experiences were like this one ! I will def return for any further eye needs. I hope this company recognizes it’s hard working employees, associates likes Maritza are hard to find !
Yesterday my husband and I got serviced at this location. We especially appreciated the helpful service that optician Elizabeth Bonilla provided for both of us: she was graciously responsive to every need we had (despite how busy she was!) and very knowledgeable about the most economic way for us to make necessary purchases.
Had one of the worst experiences. I had my original frames and order a second pair, when my second pair arrived and tried to adjust them to my size they broke the glasses and gave me a pair on display.. then I waited 3 more weeks to get the first frame back ( still wearing their display frames) because I didn’t have a second pair since they took both to “ add” the prescription. The purchased frame arrived 3 weeks after and until today I’m still waiting for my original Tom Ford glasses, I called several times and they said it was in the works, I called one more time for them to tell they lost them and I could pick one out from their display??????? Right like they carry luxury brands. Do not trust them with your expensive frames or even your regular ones. They’ll take about 3-4 weeks to give them to you & they will avoid your calls.
I walked in to this location after walking out from Garden City location. Maritza, greeted me up on my arrival took my temp and sent me directly to Daniella. Daniella was very sweet and helpful. She not only looked up both my insurances before setting up an appointment, but offered me an opening they had today. Dr. Thomas was great and explain the process step by step. After seeing the Dr. Maritza helped so much from picking up the right frame (based on price and quality and how much was my share after the insurance) to showing me the different promotions they had if I wanted a second pair or a pair of sunglasses. Not once i felt she was trying to sell me the most expensive frame in the store.I noticed how Tamerra the manager was very alert and paying attention to what was going on in the store. I cant be any happier with their customer service. Perhaps they should give some training to the Garden City store.
This was the best experience I have ever had at a Vision Works! The entire staff is extremely friendly! I specifically worked with Wellington and Maritza and they were awesome! Wellington explained all the tests and was very nice. Maritza helped me pick my frames and was very helpful patient with my indecisiveness lol It was very clean, and they made sure to sterilize everything between patients. So glad I found this specific store, I actually look forward to returning (glaucoma test and all) lol
My overall experience was awesome.From the moment I entered vision works I was greeted in an professional and friendly manner. The staff took special care in making the environment well sanitized and safe. The eye exam was completed in a timely fashion.. Maritza was awesome. She was very professional and pateint..she took her time explaining my eye care needs and helped me pick out my glasses..I will definitely recommend vision works to family and friends.
Maritza was phenomenal. She was so patient w my daughter who was getting contacts for the first time. She not only met with once but went out of her way to have a second class w us! She was knowledgeable and took care of all aspects of our order...from glasses to contacts. When we go back we will definitely ask for her again! Thank you!
The visionworks staff was friendly, professional and efficient. They said good morning and asked how I was doing. They took safety measures , my temperature was taken and my hands were sanitized . My appointment was quick and easy thanks to telehealth . Kudos to Maritza for doing a great job. Thanks to the Visionworks staff.
This is definetly a great place to go. From the door they treated you kindly. Dr Roth was great. He explained everything. Maritza is fantastic. Very patient and Kind. She was very helpful in my glasses selection. Went out of her way to pick a lot of them and patiently waited as I tested them all. I highly recommend this place.
I was really pleasantly surprised by my visit yesterday. (3/11/2020) The staff handled everything very efficiently and quickly. I liked the eye doctor I saw very much. Unfortunately, she introduced herself so quickly I do not remember her name, but Im sure they know who I saw. The exam was thorough and she explained everything along the way.I was a bit wary of the actual eyeglass purchasing process because I know these places can be very pushy about upselling, which drives me nuts. However, Maritza who was my sales associate was great. She laid out all the options for me clearly, made sure I knew how much everything was going to cost and let me make my own decisions about what I wanted to purchase.I will definitely go back.
This is my second visit at Visionworks and I am still satisfied with the customer service. There was zero wait time to see Dr. Roth. Everyone from the doctor to the front desk were knowledgeable and polite.Maritza was fantastic.she made me feel very comfortable and was extremely informative. The selection of glasses are great.I highly recommend Visionworks.
Visiting Visionworks was a wonderful experience. They did a great job of distancing everything in accordance with pandemic guidelines. They are constantly sanitizing and have masks on, etc. Dr. Roth is a great eye doctor, who is knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor. Maritza helped us to pick frames from a large selection. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend them for your eye care needs.
My visit was just so-so. I made the appointment online and confirmed the appointment online, however when I arrived the woman who checked me in told me I did not have an appointment for an eye exam despite having the email confirmation. I found this employee to be abrasive and did not feel that she really wanted to help me. Also worth noting is that when I was trying on my frames I was informed by the same employee that I must keep my mask up during the entire time in the store, despite the fact I had only pulled it down for a moment to see what my entire face would look like with the new frames. I believe when purchasing new eyeglasses that it is important to be able to see your entire face. I also very strongly believe in the importance of mask wearing and of being socially distant and the importance of sanitation and I would not have pulled my mask down if even for the moment had someone been within 6 feet of me on either side.On to the good news...Maritza! Like so many other reviewers stated, she was kind and patient, sweet and understanding, and hopefully without getting her in trouble, I will say that she pushed her chair away from me (6ft distance) and encouraged me to pull my mask down to see how the frames would look because she understood that this type of purchase warranted a full face view. So thank you to Maritza who was professional and human and provided some great feedback on the frames and advice for picking them up!!
I had a great experience at Visionworks in Massapequa. Everyone was helpful, friendly and professional. Elizabeth Bonilla was exceedingly patient as I tried on A LOT of frames. I felt guilty about that because every frame I touched had to be washed but Elizabeth kept assuring me that was fine. Note to Company: Covid is primarily spread through the aerosols from our mouth and nose. Also, your customers can easily wash their hands. I thought washing every frame I touched was unnecessary and, as I wrote, made me feel guilty since I tried on so many frames. But, other than that, getting glasses at Visionworks in Massapequa was a pleasure. Highly recommend the Massapequa store!!!
I hate going to get glasses but Mantza in the Massapequa store was so helpful. She assisted me in picking out a great frame and told me all my options. She explained my insurance options with pros and cons. She took the time to ask the doctor to clarify my contact concerns and was so pleasant and helpful. I hope she is there to help me next time too.
My visit to Visionworks in Massapequa Park was great. They took all of the necessary measures to make sure I was safe. The Doctor did an eye exam and then I sat with Maritza to choose frames for both everyday glasses and sunglasses. She was very helpful and made many comments and suggestions regarding the frames that I had chosen.She did not rush me and was very sweet and helpful.
Came to Visionworks in Massapequa with my two daughters for eye exams. The staff was extremely professional from start to finish. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Dr Lloyd was extremely patient and thorough. The optician knew exactly what would look great on my daughter. She even recommended the best lenses. She also said they have a warranty and lifetime of free adjustments. I am so happy with the service. Will definitely come back again and again
Had an issue with my eyeglasses and last 2 of the 4 visits there I was assisted by an Associate called Marisa. I cant say enough about how professional, courteous, and helpful she was. She was the one that rectified the situation. I give her 5 stars but my overall experience is 3 stars.
My wife and I went to Visionworks for our annual eye exams. From start to finish, the staff was courteous and professional during the eye examinations and while choosing our eyeglasses. The staff worked with us to determine which frames and lenses would best be covered by our insurance plans. Needless to say, we received great service and got the best glasses for our buck. Well done Visionworks!
Great staff and service - I arrived a couple of minutes early for my appointment and was immediately attended to. Dr. Martus was great at making me feel comfortable during my eye examination. I have zero fashion sense, so I wasnt looking forward to choosing frames, but their optician, Elizabeth, was awesome at helping me pick the perfect frames to match my face. Highly recommend.
I’ve been waiting for my contact lenses to arrive, which usually arrive within 3-4 business days. I’ve asked if someone can track them or give me feedback as to why it’s taking so long, but I had 1 person tell me they should arrive on Saturday, 11/4 because they show as “shipped”. Another told me that it takes 7-10 days to arrive. I need my contacts and I’ve asked for some temporary pairs, until my contacts arrive to no avail. When I call the location, nobody ever answers the phone. There’s no point in booking an appointment without knowing if my lenses are in or not, so when I walk in I’m given a “not here yet and we will call you when they arrive”. However, the 2 times I’ve placed orders they forget to call me because they do not look to see that the order is only for 1 box, as both my eyes are the same prescription. Truly frustrating service at this location. I prefer to go back to ordering my contacts online with another company.
My husband and I have been customers of this store Vision Works for a few years now. The store is not near me but I travel 30 minutes to it because I know I will get service I will be happy with and the selection of frames is extensive. Elizabeth has helped me choose frames that are flattering every time and I’ve never been dissatisfied. Clean location with all around polite team members and I’ve never felt rushed. You should never feel rushed when buying something you’re going to wear daily.Came again in 2019 and Elizabeth was helpful as always.

The doctor was very experienced and knowledgeable.I had so much fun choosing frames as the staff all pitched in to help me decide!My glass were made the SAME day! I was having a hard time getting my prescription taken care of and wasnt able to come back for my follow up exam until six months later. When I called they were able to help me book and carry out a follow up exam on the same day. Wellington and Susan were so helpful and understanding and the process was so quick, I couldn’t have asked for more. Great doctors, great opticians and excellent customer service! Highly recommend 😃
The greatest place to get your glasses! The staff is very helpful & professional. The optician, Elizabeth, as she did last year, assisted my husband & me in selecting our frames. She has a knack for suggesting frames that complement your face shape, eyes, and coloring--she guided me to multiple choices, any of which I would have loved. Dr Martus was exceptionally informative during the eye exam--she even remembered me from my past exams! A Concierge optometrist. My husband was extremely impressed with Dr Lloyd who spent a lot of time explaining the results of his photographic eye exam. They truly are the best!
Staff is very professional and courteous, while trying to decide on the right pair of eyeglass I was given personal service on not only what looks good on me but what product was best for me based on my needs and usage. They offer very good quality frames as well as service and the prices are fair and reasonable. My family of five all wear glasses and we travel to this store even though we live closer to other vision works.
**Update in Davis Vision**Went back to Davis Vision of Massapequa again for their 50% off frames sale!! I’ve been wearing glasses for many many years and wanted something different from my norm. Elizabeth helped me find these Cole Haans that I would have never even imagined myself in but they are my favorite glasses now!!! I get so many compliments when I wear them. I will continue coming here for high end! Especially when they have the sales!!******This place is always up to date with what’s the latest styles for frames. Picking out glasses is not a quick process and I’ve never felt like they are rushing me. I also feel that they give good advice to what style best suits your face. I like that they work with your budget too.
Update: I came in with my daughter to get her glasses adjusted and as always the at the staff at the Massapequa location are friendly and inviting. Elizabeth our favorite optician is a pleasure and always knows how to adjust my daughters glasses properly. im also due for my exam and cant wait to come backOmg amazing service friendly people and the optician Elizabeth was very knowledgeable and picked the perfect frame for me. Been a patient here for years even before it was Visionworks. They have only grown on me in recent years as some of the staff has changed for the better. New to me is Dr. Lloyd who is so fantastic. Now, I highly recommend coming here as it is a quick and easy experience when I come in. The staff members are very helpful when it comes to picking out frames & they are honest and tell you what complements your face the best.
The staff is professional and competent. The problem is accessibility. The phones go to a national call center. Sometimes, the wait is longer than a half hour. Booking appointments through the website leads to extensive delays. For example, my glasses are ready today, but the next pick up appointment is 6 days from now. It is inconvenient and time consuming.
I ordered 2 pairs of glasses over a month and a half ago and theyre still not ready. I called 3 times after initially waiting two weeks, they barely answered or left me on hold the first two tries. I tried a month and a half later and they said the glasses were delayed but didnt give me an explanation as to why. Im led to believe that they somehow delayed my order as they said my visit was a month after when I actually went. Now they could take another few weeks to get to my house, when I needed them for a vacation last week. I cant be too mad, I understand how these things work. However the customer service isnt very good in my opinion.
I am generally the most indecisive human on the planet when it comes to glasses and Ive been wearing the same frames for years but, Tamerra was so patient with me in finally changing up my look no matter how long it took me to choose something. She was an absolute joy to work with and I highly recommend going to this location. Im so excited to show off my new look when I return to work on Monday!! When Im ready for my next pair, Ill be sure to return to Visionworks. :)
I have been going to this place for years and my last experience was a NIGHTMARE! I waited in the waiting room for over 2 hours just to have a virtual doctor visit where the program wasn’t working. Two weeks go by and no one ever called to let me know my contact order was in. I spent 30 mins on hold while someone apparently went into the stock room to check. I hung up and called back to once again be put on hold. The gentleman who originally had me on hold for 30 mins came into the new call and told me my order was in. I pick up my contacts and as I’m checking to make sure the prescription is accurate, the woman who is helping me tells me the are all properly labeled right and left so you don’t need to check. As I’m checking I notice that they are labeled incorrectly! My prescription right eye was labeled as my left. I don’t know what happened with this store but that was 3 strikes in a row and I will not be going back!
You can’t beat the service. It was quick from site with the examination to the delivery of my glasses. Rich took care of me, he was the ultimate professional all the way. The glasses fit perfect and the progressive lenses were spot on.ThankYou Rich will definitely come back to your store!
I’ve waited all day for a phone call from a manger. From start to finish I had nothing but a bad experience in this store. The Dr barely looked at my glasses I had to advise him to check my reading portion of my eyes. After that it was all downhill.So now I’m sent to pick out my frames. I understand a global pandemic is happening & I work in the medical field so I understand. So now I’m given a box & advised if I touch it I have to put it in my box to be cleaned. Completely understandable. So I’m not really seeing anything I’m wowing about so I ask as I see all pairs of glasses lying around. “ can someone clean the frames not being used?” There might be something I like. I get told. Whatever is out on the shelves. Okay so that’s a no. Okay.Now my boyfriend finally finds parking in the overcrowded parking lot & he comes in I then explain what happened. I ask again... can someone please clean the the frames & I see a woman who has about 40 plus pairs of glasses in front of her & I ask a worker if they can ask the woman if she’s done with some of the frames so I can review them & again I got told no I can only choose what’s on the shelves. So I’m not happy I settle for an okay frame & I now wait for a man to help me. Again global pandemic he’s likely you have to sit behind the line. We both have mask on & these are my eyes you’re about to mess with. But okay. He’s half paying attention & he starts to measure not getting anywhere close to me. Again understand the times. But if a dentist another drs can get near you why can’t an eye dr with masks on.So he’s trying to measure half listing to what I’m asking for & he forgot my transition didn’t ask if I wanted any bells or whistles or go over any promotions or offer me any help in picking stuff out nothing just pay me.So now we leave I’m so unpleased with my experience I forget it & go about my day. So a little over a week I call to check on my glasses I have a woman who answered the phone & I ask. I would like to check if my glasses are in. I get asked when did you come in I said a week ago Saturday. I get in response nope not in it takes 14 days. I then ask are you going to take my name. She said nope not In it takes 14 days. About an hour later I get a text & an email “my glasses are in “ well that’s funny snotty girl I the phone couldn’t be bothered. So now I make my appointment online to pick them up & comes the following Saturday so now 2 weeks after my appointment. I call cause I’m running late. Bad day. I ask is there anyway to move my appointment back I’m just running late. I get told no schedule is full can’t do. We got nothing. Take your appointment or don’t. I then ask are you even going to ask my name. She said nope I see your appointment 4 pm. I then say again I Understand your booked & I’m in a bind, hoping for a little empathy & I get told. “ I told you we are booked we will see you at 4pm” I almost fell over. I then replied with worst customer service & I’ll see you at 4pm & hung up. So when I get there & get my glasses I then tell the wonder nice woman helping me what happened from start to finish & she was the ONlY empathetic one in the whole office. I am now having an issue where my glasses have left a red make on my nose & I don’t even want to call them that’s how bad they were.
Terrible service long wait times. No help assisting in picking out glasses and they no longer take measurements to ensure the correct fit. I ended up paying a lot of money for ill fitting uncomfortable glasses. I get it we are in a pandemic but proper fitting glasses are ESSENTIAL! I will not be returning.
I gotta say I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 8 years old, and this is the first place to help me find a pair that fits and looks like “me”. Exam was also very thorough, and unlike many other places, the doctor actually paid attention to what I said and all my concerns. I’m 28 now, and can’t say I’ve had a better experience anywhere else. The opticians are great, and free adjustments! They even replace screws, what more can you ask for? Totally recommend!
Very friendly, knowledgeable service. Very large amount of frames at reasonable prices. Courtney spent a lot of time with us to make sure we were fitted correctly and were happy with our selection and vision. She is a credit to Davis vision works and we will ask for her in the future.
I visited this location with my daughter in search of a particular style of glasses that she wants.During my visit I was appalled to overhear (an older aged woman with short blonde hair and bangs) speaking to an associate (short young female with curly brown hair) in a very derogatory manner. The young female appeared embarrassed and upset, but held her composure with outstanding maturity.I felt sincere sympathy for the female who was very professional and inviting of us when we entered the store just a few moments before.I dont know if this is something that happens frequently among the workers at the store, but I feel compelled to speak up for her.Unfortunately we were unable to find the frame my daughter was looking for among the mass amount of disorganized frames, but I am reluctant to return.
The staff here is overall great, i’ve been here plenty of times and always get great service EXCEPT one specific employee Jeff Solomon. He was VERY nasty to my father who came here for glasses and discriminated him because of his accent. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. As a customer no one should ever be treated in this type of manner. The manager was made aware of this situation and rectified and made our experience better after this. don’t let people like Jeff stop you from shopping here for your glasses.
I recently broke my glasses while working on site in Merrick. I drove to Massapequa once I got off my shift because I am blind as a bat without them. Also since I work heavy equipment I am legally obligated to wear my glasses on the job. I couldnt be happier with the service that was provided to me here. Temerra gave me a huge boost in confidence when she helped me get fitted for my frames and the specific lenses I needed. Once again, thank you for all of the help you provided!
Three years ago I got two pair of glasses with the second pair only $25 more, a nice deal. Last year I got two pair again as my plan approved but the staff girl didnt know, wasnt trained or didnt care because I did not get the same deal. I had another appointment soon after as was running late so I didnt start an argument and left. Dont know if I will return again. They do have a large selection of frames to pick from. If I do go back I will get it in writing on what my plan states and they will honor it.
For years I have struggled to find a comfortable and professional business to help me with my eye care needs. Irrational as it sounds, I am terrified of anything having to do with my eyes. Luckily I happened into Visionworks recently and Im so happy that I did! The highest caliber service and customer care were provided for me. I am so happy with my new glasses and sunglasses. I loved the service. I would recommend to anyone who love great service, knowledgeable and very caring staff. I had an issue with the way that my tom ford Glasses fit. The Store Manager came to the rescue nd helped me out they fit as if they were a part of my face. Thanks Tamera.
The manager Tamerra at the Massapequa location is truly a rare find. She’s so relatable yet professional. I hate when it’s time to get my glasses but from check in to check out She was sure to make sure I found something that not only looked good but felt good will definitely continue to shop here instead of my private eyeglass place
In 18 yrs wearing glasses DVW is THE BEST. Staff’s professional, friendly, & knowledgeable. Especially Rich who helped me w/ PD measurements & selection of 2 pairs. Pricing CANNOT be beat. If I hear of anyone looking for glasses, I’ll DEFINITELY send them to you. Thanks
This wear was my first year of getting glasss my mom to but they ripped off my mom this lady said buy one get one free so my picked then once she can do that deal and then we were paying the woman payed both of glasss but she the lady said buy one get one free TO MY MOM. so I my is very mad about that

The doctor was very helpful with everything, especially since I have severe astigmatism! I was able to find a beautiful pair of frames for a reasonable price!Definitely going to be my go-to optometrist from now on!

2022-04-05I have been going to Visionworks in Massapequa for a very long time. They have always been fantastic to deal with but the recent service from Elizabeth, Maritza, and Jay has been stellar. A few issues with the glasses and sunglasses I purchased was handled with such care and understanding and rectified immediately. I cannot recommend them enough!!! If you need prescription glasses of any type, do not hesitate to visit them.

2022-02-03The store is fine. There was a wait for my eye exam, but I guess my appointment time didnt matter because I went on a Saturday and they couldn’t handle the traffic. There’s a test that’s a part of the eye exam that uses a machine that’s right there in the store that isn’t covered by any insurances that they charged me $20 extra for, it felt like a money grab. After my exam, I picked frames without help while I sat around waiting to be helped. The sales person spent five minutes with me and, almost two weeks later, my glasses still aren’t ready even though I have a minimal prescription and ordered basic lenses.

2022-04-09Had a great experience today. Brittny made an appointment for me for my eye exam earlier in the week. I arrived a few minutes early and was taken right away. I was offered an advanced photo of my retinas and it was explained it was not covered by insurance, but would only cost about $20.00. I decided to do it because macular degeneration is something my grandmother suffered from and I wanted to know if I had any signs of it. During the exam Dr. Roth showed me the photo images of my retinas and explained all the things that were shown. The exam was comprehensive and pleasant and informative. Then Elizabeth helped me select frames and lens options that would suit my needs, one fancy pair for use in the office and a casual pair with a plastic frame for me to wear when falling asleep at night either reading or possibly watching TV. I had blue light blocking finish put on both pairs to reduce any irritation or sleep disruption that screen time can cause. I’m looking forward to picking them up in a week or so.

2021-05-31My experience at Davis Visionworks at the Southgate, Massapequa Park store today was of the highest quality on every possible level. I arrived 25 minutes before my appointment time and was taken care of within minutes of entering the store. Every person I came into contact with treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism. Dr. Elliot Roth was great and answered all my questions during my eye exam. Most of my time was spent with a charming and highly professional sales representative by the name of Maritza. I never felt rushed to make my frame selection at any time. Maritza is just outstanding and a great asset to the entire Davis Visionworks team at their Southgate, Massapequa Park location. 2021-12-30Everyone that works at the store is so pleasant. It’s extremely refreshing in this day and age to walk into an establishment where people are actually friendly and helpful.
