The stopper in the bathroom does not work, the iron was dirty and when I turned on the steam, the iron along with the steam blew out white stones with a coating and salt, the phone in the room does not work, all night the neighbors listened to loud music and talked loudly and no one made a comment to them, I paid almost 380 $ for 3 nights and this was not what I expected when I ordered this room online! the room is small, there is an old coffee maker and an old refrigerator, a TV and a few chairs, the only thing that made me happy is the clean bed and the polite staff! for the sake of them I put 2 stars and so this hotel does not even deserve one star
This place has an indoor heated pool we’re not the time I stayed here it was not heated the heating system is broken my birthday being in December and cold I was hoping to swim in an indoor heated Jacuzzi but once again taken over by children. Overall the room was neat quiet and I was able to rest which is all I wanted for my weekend to celebrate my birthday as a relaxing place to stay with this Covid basically this is all we can do now is go somewhere private and enjoy relax for a peaceful time.
The room was just ok. We found 2 spiders in our room. The carpet was dirty. The room was stuffy. The hallway smelled. Also, there was no microwave. Very inconvenient for a family with small children. The drapes are pointless because there is no extra privacy drape underneath so you are unable to open to get sunlight. Room 211 btw. And 2 days after check out, we are still waiting on our 50$ deposit.
Positive: Right behind sushi spot, kind of hidden Negative: I booked for 5 days but needed it for 4 and when attempted to adjust my reservation I was told I cannot do so and would be charged the same amount despite leaving days before. Makes no sense and not good service for their customers
Positive: The bathroom was nice. You can tell it was just redone. Also the entire room was repainted. But other than that nothing special. Negative: We were supposed to have a queen bed. But it was a twin. Supposed to have HBO but did not. Also only one key worked. A lot of other people were also have issues with there keys. The room did not look like what was on the site.
I purchased two nights at Days inn in Hicksville. I checked in, however I checked out two hours later because the room wasnt warm enough and it was freezing cold. I purchased two nights somewhere else for the same nights and this place refused to refund me although I didnt stay at their hotel. If I could give no stars I would.
Positive: That location was the only thing that I liked or recommend about this hotel otherwise everything else was horrifying. Negative: I hate it my entire experience at this hotel! The customer service was horrible. I had to sleep in a room with the lock system did not work for the door and there was unnecessary inappropriate adult activity happening in the parking lot all night no sleep
My stay ranged from a smooth check-in/check-out to unexpected surprises. I dont plan on returning. Please read the full review.Ill start with the good points:* Friendly staff.* Good location (near stores and highway)* Accommodated a room change quickly.* The shower (only the shower).* Room 1 had good lighting, space and outlets.* Refrigerators.* The doors have locks.* Pricing was decent.* A beverage vending machine that accepts cash and credit cards.* Cleaning staff was present daily. The downside:Room 1:* Stains on the carpet.* One person in my group was woken frequently from hearing a TV through the adjoining rooms door.* I was woken up frequently from hearing people upstairs.* Finding a bed bug the next morning (thankfully it was just the one and it was not swollen). My group needed to quickly pack all of our things and get out of the room immediately.Room 2:* Daily drain flies.* The carpet was incredibly filthy and worse than Room 1. I doubt anyone had ever shampooed it.* Lack of outlets.* There were lights, but the lighting still felt dim.* Whatever made up of an excuse for wiring I saw for the rooms phone behind the nightstand.* Mystery Wall SwitchThe property and general rooms:* Water easily pooled on the bathroom floor and no proper way for it to drain away.* Bottom shelf complimentary coffee.* One person from our group described the location of the communal microwave being located in the Sketchy Breakroom.* Breakfast was a tiny bottle of water, overly sugary fruit cup, and a granola bar-cookie pre-bagged.* The WIFI worked when it felt like it.* The parking lot turned into Lake Ronkonkoma. * The travelers. I experienced a combination of individuals blasting music at late hours with their door open and from cars, various peple loudy talking at all hours, and someone letting a dog run around off leash growling and barking at people.
Drapes had sunrot/holes. Mold on the ceiling in the room and bathroom. Switch on light between beds didnt work and unable to turn on. Wallpaper is peeling from edges. No receipt of stay given. Poor continental breakfast- was tiny water, fruit cup, and granola bar. Carpet vacuumed but stained. Person at window not properly checking people out and had door electronic keys left outside window for anyone to grab. Non-smoking room but faint odor of cigarettes.
This is my second review. I have been coming here at least 4 maybe 5 times in one year. My first room was great. Two queen size beds, clean, comfortable, nice room to stay for a few days. But since then, every time i came back, room gets smaller, and i kid you not, this queen size bed is probably a full size bed.
This is the worst hotel. Theres roaches. Its dirty. The staff are lazy and rude. One of the staff, DAVE is his name. Told me its company policy not to give you a copy of sign in sheet. When other staff did it. And other days inn give it to customers all the time.. He was rude and just lazy..Hopefully other people read this and not come here..
This was the worst place I ever almost stayed at. The place is very old which is ok BUT the room was disgusting, it stunk, the bathroom sink was dripping, seems like the furniture hasn’t been updated since the 80’s. We immediately asked for a refund and because my son sat on the edge of the bed for a minute, not the sheets but the outer cover, looking at his phone we were refused. We left for another place anyway and will continue our dispute. STAY AWAY……WORST EVER!!!!!
Room was small. The outlet on my side of the bed didnt work. I had my leg amputated so I needed To plug in my wound vac. Also the tv (as tiny as it was) and the cable box was on an extension cord and the outlet it was plugged in was burnt and smoke stains on the wall when the outlet went on fire . They dont have the regular movie channels. Like HBO or Cinemax.. When go to those channels it says you have to sign up for those channels 🤦♂️..The only reason Im giving them 2 stars is because the night guy working the window was really helpful. He unplugged one of the office computers and gave me the breaker bar so my wound would reach.
My room phnoe never worked, the extention number on didnt match room number, the jack in the wall was pulled out from wall. Holes in wall and room door was caved in. Air-conditioning wasnt working correctly. Windows in room where dirty on the outside. Parking lot was flooded.
Very clean very nice I like that I have a desk a nightstand a coffee table a leather sofa chair and a sofa complimentary blow dryer and coffee maker iron and ironing board for the price you cannot beat it. When I got here after booking online the guy was super helpful because booking online put me down for the wrong day and I specifically selected January 26 for my check in he fix it for me it did end up costing me almost $30 more but I was not worried about it I just wanted to get some rest it is very patient and kind wonderful customer service I wish we had more of him
Horrible. Last time I was here I left behind some clothes which they claim werent in the room so clearly they just took them.. There were some issues with other guests acting crazy in the parking lot but they eventually left. This time was worse. First I asked specifically for a first floor room and got a second floor room. The room was not cleaned properly. The drain in the bathroom is broken. The lock on the door doesnt work. The smell of weed is constant... The only reason people stay here is clearly the price.Filed a complaint with Wyndham who didnt seem to care. Went out for dinner and after we got back, around 10pm the hotel office called my room to apologize. They offered a different room but i doubt it would have been any better and my little one was already settled.
I decided to rent a room for one night so that I could sleep. Little did I know that Id be better off sleeping in my car. The beds are uncomfortable, sheets were itchy and the room had zero sound dampening. The other patrons were loud well until 4am in the morning. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. Youre truly better off getting some comfortable sheets and sleeping in your back seat.On the plus side, its very close to multiple food options and there is a CVS right up the block. The surrounding area is also quite and pretty decent in how its kept.
The room and bathroom were clean and nice. The in room safes lock button was missing, they said theyd fix it in the morning, they didnt. The heater for the room kept turning off after 5 minutes and stay off for more than 5 minutes, and didnt even get close to the temp set on the unit. I know I booked a cheap motel close to where I needed to be, but I didnt think the outside temp and inside temp would be less than 15 degrees apart. Its 38 degrees outside and 53 inside. But you get what you pay for...
The room smelled terribly like urine. To the point where I had to drive to CVS for air fresheners! There was garbage sticking out from under the bed. After demanding they clean the room again, we went back into the room and it was much better. Upon looking under the bed (out of curiosity) there was STILL garbage under there! The staff would do NOTHING for us. Kept handing us a business card with their managers name and number. So disappointed with our stay!
Have stayed here before, while it would never be a five-star hotel for certain, in the past it was at least a clean quiet place to stay. Not this time, dont know if it was because of covid-19 for various other reasons. Showed up to check in at the tent outside oh, there was one person ahead of us, he said hed been waiting 5 minutes. After we had waited at least 10, knocking on the door and windows to no avail I called the reception and the phone rang 4 times then went to voicemail. Finally checked in after about a 15 to 20-minute wait.We had made reservations for two nights, there is a newer Hotel down the road we had planned on moving to after our first night stay. We told them we would be checking out early and were informed we would still have to pay for our second night because we had already made the reservation. This is never happened to me at any other hotel I have ever stayed at.I was also disappointed that I wasnt invited to the party in the room above mine that went on around 2 a.m.
Room was not clean. Seens like the floor, particularly along the walls have not been vacuumed in weeks. No one made beds or cleaned the room the next day either. Mostly concrete, rooms need updating and wallpaper was stained, mold around toilet and holes in the walls.Door warped and did not seal properly. Days Inn and Wyndham should not be proud to list this motel as their own. Good points: AC worked well, TV was very good, beds were comfortable and bathroom although not as clean as it should be worked well.
Worst hotel experience EVER. More like a motel than a hotel. Couldn’t sleep at all because the people above us sounded like a herd of elephants walking back and forth all night. Extremely uncomfortable beds. Terrible pillows. No WiFi. “Breakfast” was a joke. We will NEVER stay here again and will be seeking a refund. I literally can’t come up with a single positive thing to say about this place. Complete and total waste of money. I wouldn’t stay here again if it was free.
I do not reccomend this hotel to ANYONE! Nothing like the photos. So filthy. The whole room was EXTREMELY outdated and there was stains on carpet, walls, and ceiling. Holes all through the curtains. Furniture looked like it was falling apart. I would give negative stars if that was possible. So much dirt and dust behind the nightstand. Also the set up of the whole motel was very strange. This motel needs to be completely redone or shut down.
This place needs an upgrade, in our room, the towel rack was rusted and there was someones hair stuck in one of the towels. One of the lamps by the bed didnt work (turns out the entire outlet wasnt working). The doorlock to the room was faulty and the tv channels were limited. And last, but surely not least; the shower head was wobbly with water spewing everywhere (thankfully a little elbow grease took care of that).
The room was dirty, there was a dirty rag on the floor, the rugs were filthy and it smelled like smoke. It was supposed to be a non smoking room. We were moved to another room. In the morning a dirty towel was found hanging on the shower rod, when blow drying my hair a fuse blew. I called the desk and was told nobody was there to flip the fuse box, but we could change rooms! For the 3rd time! This room also smelled like smoke. Our family in another room had no heat and the shower head didn’t work. We were in town for a FUNERAL this is the last thing we wanted to worry about. The clerk couldn’t care less about helping us.
I can honestly say the hotel looks nothing like its pictures. The “swimming pool” is in the middle of the car park and I wouldn’t want to get into that water. My room smelt of damp and our clothes had the smell lingering on them till they were washed. I did not feel safe at the hotel. The rooms are let to social security and homeless people and I felt very uncomfortable when I ventured out for “breakfast “ with the noises and comments the male guests were making and staring at my 15 year old daughter. There was no juice and the breakfast was very poor. This is not a nice place to stay - steer well clear.
I stayed here for two nights with a friend who was in town and allergic to my cats. While the room was clean it was apparent that it had recently flooded. The carpet was what looked to be peel and stick carpet squares which were still damp. We had been to an outdoor concert the first night and got soaked. Hanging up our jackets and other clothes to dry was useless as the room was so damp nothing dried. There was also what looked to be black electrical tape around the door to seal the large gaps. The safe didnt work and we called and were told someone would be there to take a look. Never happened. This is a non-smoking property and my friend, a non-smoker said there was a smoke odor. This could be because I witnessed multiple guests smoking in their door ways with the door open while smoking. There was exterior painting underway while we were there and perhaps its the beginning of the updating. There was a coffee maker and being a tea drinker I requested more tea bags. Never got them. The refrigerator was clean, but there is no microwave. The blow dryer was mounted on the wall, too far away to use with the mirror. Made it a challenge to dry your hair. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with the exception of the damp floor. The pool was clean and we did spend a couple hours enjoying that.. The property was clean, the guests were quite. The location was convenient for our plans, check in and out was quick and easy.
The place says days inn but really is motel 6. The place is outdated, dirty, nasty, i felt so uncomfortable and the price had the nerve to be high. I will never be back. The photos show it all. The toilet didnt flush when i arrived. The air conditioner doesnt get cold. Much to be desired.
Disappointed and Disgusted!Rooms are extremely small, outdated and DIRTY!!!Believe the other reviews, mostly on Expedia, the pictures they advertise do not represent the actual rooms. The exterior is completely falling apart. Cracks and holes in the walls and ceilings and dirty dark brown spots every where from previous leaks. The staff is rude and incompetent. From the front desk woman that checked us in, to the housekeeping staff, completely miserable and untrained staff that do not belong in the hospitality field. Will NEVER return to this establishment and strongly advise anyone else from staying here. Save your money and o else where!
Hotel has potential to be a 5 star. Come on management, get it together. The air conditioning unit in my room had not been cleaned in who knows how long, and filter need changing also. This should be a routine maintenance check. Room needed to be dusted and cleaned in those areas that require a little bit of work to get to them. Shampoo the carpets every once and a while also. Vacuum cleaner are our friends.
Terrible! I stayed for 3 nights only because of the price and proximity to family. Breakfast room was filled with flies and bees. Tiny stove in my room looked like it hadnt been cleaned in months. Some rusty, broken parts under stove coils and grease a-plenty. Ill spare you the rest. STAFF, however, was considerate and helpful.
It was lovely. The entire area (room, pool, everything) were smaller than you think, but you could navigate easily so it wasnt that big of a deal. The outside of the hotel needed a serious makeover, but the rooms were lovely really. We had a wonderful time. I would recommend people come to this hotel.
I had the worst experience of my life at this motel. Worst service ever. Never would go back, and I dont reccomend this low grade motel to anyone. First thing when I got to the room, the toilet was completely clogged. Next, the furniture is falling apart. Nails and saw dust falling out of the chairs. What seriously worsened my experience was when we came in to stained sheets, and the hotel blamed me and wanted to charge me $35.00 for white sheets. Lastly, none of the employees speak English which makes it extremely hard to communicate. they dont understand anything you say. This horrible service doesnt compare to anything else. I hope no one makes the same mistake I did in staying at the Days Inn, Hicksville NY.
Not service dog friendly. Completely disappointed! First off I walked into a lobby filled with smoke stench and no one around. I made a quick stop to the restroom and when I stepped out I scared the security guard? He didnt know anyone was there..thats concerning. The guy checking me in was nice, but upon checking in we received a phone call saying we needed to leave. They have a strict no pets rule. I informed him they were service dogs and he was discriminating against me. I was appalled at his ignorance, I explained to him that it was unlawful to charge, kick us out or use prejudice against me according to ADA guidelines. I was infuriated! We ended up staying after talking to the manager. After driving nearly 5 hours and it being almost 1am we were just exhausted. The bed was clean at least, but the bathroom needed tending to. There were hairs in the shower on the towels and the shampoo bottle was dirty too. Had we not been tired from our drive we wouldve sought out other accommodations. NO ONE should be treated less favorable due to a disability or treated with ableism. I still believe they should be reported.
Stayed for one night... it was windy outside and the vent fan in the bathroom banged loudly all night because it was either broken or did not have a damper. I called the front desk and asked for a new room or for someone to come fix the issue. I was told I would just have to deal with it. The room was also dated, definitely needs an update. The bed was also hard and not comfortable at all.
The AC was on full blast but it was still hot as hell. We paid ahead of time but they charged our card when we checked in. Pool is in the middle of a concrete parking lot. The rooms are old and out dated. The shower curtains did not stay in place (we checked another room so I know it wasn’t just ours) they weren’t the right kind for the rod so the floor kept getting wet. The hall area was a sauna.
Its an older Days Inn that hasnt been updated, but its really clean, the sheets and towels are soft, the shower head was great, the bed is new, firm and even (it doesnt sag toward the phone side), and it was generally quiet. Its in a good area. Plus its not overpriced. And the staff was friendly to me.Its not lavish. Its just a place to crash.Look at it as a throwback. As all the other properties are updating and modernizing, this one is kinda old school. As long as its clean, how fancy does it have to be?
Ok check in was easy for the most part and once I got into my room I was able to get some rest. However upon forst arrival and seeing my room. it was NOT cleaned before my arrival. Night manager offered a refund but that wouldnt have done me any good as it was late (1:30am). There was no other available hotels to stay at. After some back and forth they managed to get someone to Clean my room so I could get into it..... They did discount the stay for the first night to compensate me though...All in all it wasnt the worst Ive stayed at. Just wish their cleaning people were more on the ball...
I’d give no stars if I could , I drove 6 hours to stay in a hotel that showed beautiful pictures only to get here and walk into a mess , the room smelled musty old and dirty the bedding had stains all over it a bug was on the wall , the toilet seat handle was broken off !!! Then to top it off they advertise no smoking and my room had old cigarette packs all over !!! The moment you stepped outside of the room you smell nothing but cigarette smoke and I myself have pleurisy and the moment I inhale cigarette smoke my lungs go into attack. When asked about a refund they were nasty at the desk and didn’t care and refuse us a refund so we are now opening a case against this “ hotel” as they call it I would not recommend you ever ever come here !!! You can find a hotel for the same price and ten times better across the road !!!! Please do not even bring a lady you get off the streets here you will for sure will both catch something !! I truly believe anyone who gives this hotel a good review goes to this hotel to do meth or crack , this place isn’t a dump and that’s a disgrace to say for all the dumps in the area .
Have stayed here a few times, not too bad, I wouldnt recommend kids really, if you stay on the first floor hopefully you dont have an elephant above you walking around or kids running, can hear footsteps very easily. I would recommend the second floor if youre a light sleeper. Fairly clean, I got a king bedroom. No microwave!? Cable is good, my fridge has a freezer. Continental breakfast. Bar out front, have never visited. Close to the job im working at so is ok.
We reserved our stay prior to leaving our home in Baltimore to visit LI. Traffic was horrible on the Belt Pkwy and we were late getting in. We called to let them know we were running late for check in and he asked for a credit card over the phone to hold our room. After a birthday dinner we got there. The parking lot is loaded with pot holes and you cannot dodge them all. We had requested a crib on our booking however it was not in the room after we checked in. Children 6 and 1 were with me. The 1 yr old got sick in the car and was in need of a bath. I entered the lobby and the smell hit me immediately. A fish tank with 3 large drums sat next to it with hoses of sort covered with plastic wrap. The smell of stagnant fish water combined with the Asian cuisine the person behind the counter was eating and the lack of circulating air was pungent. I got the key and my daughter put the children in the bath as I walked back to the lobby to ask about the crib. The person, still eating, was not interested anymore after I signed the necessary papers to get the key and he ran my credit card. I have to add the booking on line was advertised at 159.00, then half way on our trip it changed to 219.00 on the website. By the time it was over with my credit card was charged 257.00 plus a 50.00 deposit returned at check out (with a 5-7 business day) to be refunded to my card. He tells me housekeeping has gone for the day and he has no key to the room where cribs are stored, and I should have checked when I opened the door instead of coming to him 1/2 hour later to ask where it was. I told him this was unacceptable and could I have the managers name. He told me it was William but didnt know his last name or his phone number. And I was absolutely not getting a refund if that is why I was back in the office. Meanwhile I stopped at the vending machine to grab a granola bar for the 6 yr old and upon opening it in the room while I am relaying this new found info to my daughter it crumbled into pieces and fell to the carpet. It was so stale it did not resemble anything but crushed cereal. I made a mess and I was picking pieces up when he knocked on the door and said he would help locate a crib for us. After waiting another 1/2 hour we decided to get out of there. Because we were not financially prepared to pay for another hotel somewhere else, we drove through the night back to Baltimore. The non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes. The curtain were old and the rubber backing visible from the outside was cracked and yellow. Large stains on the carpet. The bathroom was decent enough. When I returned my key and told him we were leaving, he did not care to even accept the key from me. I had to place it on the counter and push it toward him. I told him I would be calling Days Inn headquarters and he smiled. I now know that his hotel is privately owned along with the Asian food carry out joint attached. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all. Very disappointed and creeped out.
Adjusters are welcome here! I stayed here for 9 weeks during 1st quarter of 2014. The staff were great and would send faxes for me. They told me where to shop, where good places were for different things, and always helped with anything needed! The room was clean and housekeeping would watch for me to leave, take care of my room while I was gone, and then I would work the rest of the evening without any disruption. The location was convenient to handle claims in all directions on the island.
Long wait to get a room...clean rooms...pool run down... lots of nasty people staying here... We stayed 5 nights but I did not feel safe! Had no choice... lots of cameras people walking around all night loud...but would stay again if I had to because it was clean and had a bathroom...
This is a typical one star motel. What makes its better than most is the exceptional front staff that answers the phone and is extremely helpful. Vending machine prices are reasonable which is a plusWhat I did like about the hotel is there are a lot of people living in the motel. When I woke up in the morning my night closed reek of cigarette smoke so apparently a lot of people do smoke in those rooms even though it is prohibited and the smell is not completely out of the mattress.
So first off the staff was very rude. We reserved a smoking room and at no time where we told that there was no smoking. We were charged extra for that option, then the rooms/pictures of the hotel were not the real pictures of the room or the place itself. We were charged almost 45 dollars in JUST TAXES! I mean the taxes had taxes! The room was dirty. The Jacuzzi tub that was supposed to be in the middle of the room was a regular tub in is regular place. The room wasnt vacuumed, and last but not least the place doubles as low income housing which doesnt bother me @ all but having kids run back and forth in the room above us till 3 am and People smoking weed and drinking and acting a fool in the parking lot isnt really the best look for a place of business. Every town has that one shady hotel that you go to when your up to no good, well this one is it for the hicksville area. Will not be going there ever again . The bed was nice and firm tho....... 😐
They took the total cost of the room, which was $99, and then took an additional $150, which was the cost of the room and the deposit Totaling $250. I dont understand why that was necessary seeing as they should have only taken the amount for the room plus the deposit now I have $150 missing from my account and it has yet to be returned...All of this for a property that needs a serious overhaul. everything looks outdated, the breakfast was minimal, and I did not get the room that I asked for.
I love this place. Its inexpensive, close to all, and very decent. The rooms on second floor are big with double queen beds. We had a mini refrigerator, microwave, DVD player, cable, flat screen, kitchen table with three chairs, outlets and lamps next to the bed. Omg for the price Ill recomend anyone. Oh yea there is continental breakfast a pool . Bonus a sushi/Japanese restaurant right on premises. Come here its worth it. Be a Wyndham customer and save online.
The parking lot was a little dirty and smelled. Our room was clean and the bathroom was clean. Clean water, mini fridge, and coffee pot is a plus, however, no microwave. We stayed in a non-smoking room, but sometimes you could smell cigarette smoke from other rooms. Overall it served its purpose and rooms were clean.
Very disappointing, was more like a motel instead of hotel. Room was clean but very small for $125. And there was no elevator. More like a party place for college kids or locals. Staff spoke very little English. Decor was dated like 60s. No more Days Inn. Im surprised Wyndam put their name on this place. J. Francis, Groton, Ct.
Terrible, small and dirty! Mislead by the online photos! The room was tiny. Barely room to move. The room stunk like smoke and was not clean. Even though Im a smoker, I was disgusted by the smell. The linens and decor are old and dated. I booked through Orbitz and the photos were not anything like what the hotel was. The parking lot did not feel safe and the lobby was a dump. There was no wi-fi, barely a breakfast and no info at all about local restaurants, things near by or even hotel info in the room.Continently they dont give refunds, as policy. I would never, ever recommend this nasty place to anyone. Stay at the Best Western nearby instead.
False Advertisement the pictures online are not what the hotel looks like at all. The hotel is extremely run down. Booked two queen beds they do not even have queen beds there, they are full beds. I cant believe that wyndam days inn lets this place operate under their name. The stench of urine in the hallway is appalling. This place is gross do not stay here especially with kids. The room has outdated carpets, holes all in the drapes, if you do stay buy Lysol to disinfect place yourself but really do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
Booked rooms online (priceline to be exact). Prepaid for rooms 2 weeks in advance based on photos and reviews what a mistake. In the past when I have booked on online or prepaid I go to the counter they take my info and hand me keys and that it thats. Thats what i was hoping for NOPE not this time. Not sure if the gentleman behind the counter was new or lack of training or just did not care multiple trips to the copy machine copy same credit card and driver license multiple times I was told I would be charged the original price which I em embarrassed to say I paid 178.32 per room a night and 50.00 incidental so I would have to dish out 400. dollars per room and then get a refund when I check out with multiple rooms that adds up quick. Then the explanation I got was head spinning even thought I have prepaid I was would have to pay the full price and the incidental and then be refunded the original transaction which made no sense so why prepay only to pay full price at the counter again. It was late and I had kids and we had a family event that we were late for because checking in was so amazing and finally when we didget the key to the room WOW it felt like I went back in time to the 60s or 70s rooms were nothing like in the pictures not even close rooms were tiny smelled not clean. What a mistake on my end I should have left when i was getting charged twice should have cut my losses and stayed anywhere else, Pictures show well light rooms clean updated lobby looked great when you get there it is like a dark dungeon smells of smoke, marijuana insects everywhere I would not have paid 60.00 a night in this place. I always thought Wyndham was a bit more clean and updated can not believe they put there name on this hotel VERY DISAPPOINTED still trying to get my accounts straightened for prepay and paying at the counter almost a week later. I was charged an occupancy tax, safe tax which was amazing nothing was mentioned at time of check in.I would waste money on safes put that money towards updating your hotel and putaccurate pictures of you hotel. SAVE YOUR SELF THE HEAD ACH GO ANYWHERE ELSE SLEEP UNDER A BRIGDE STAY AWAY. I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER STAY AT THIS PLACE EVER AGIAN I WOULD STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PICTURES. I am done with Days Inn for allowing this hotel to operate under its name I have been to other Days Inn nothing like this monstrosity. We will be going to Florida in December with the whole family I will avoid Days Inn like the plague
The whole place looks old and run down. Its 90° outside and the pool isnt open. Bad Mold on every single wall of our room. Holes and mold all throughout the curtains. The free breakfast was nothing but stale bread and bagels, cereal, and oatmeal. The first night we stayed it poured during the night and we woke up to a completely flooded parking lot around 4 inches deep in the middle section. None of the workers speak any english thats understandable and we were woken up by room service at 8 AM. When we said something they said it was routine to go around early for people who are staying more than one night and that we could switch rooms if we wanted too but other than that nothing else was done to compensate for The horrible experience. The whole place feels unsanitary overall with bad customer service except for the manager who seemed to be sincere.
No frills motel at reasonable price. It has a seasonal outdoor pool and an Asian Fusion restaurant thats good. Location is commercial. Offers large vehicle parking. Free breakfast but limited fare. Entrance from street is small and low profile. Room has cable TV iron ironing board hair dryer radio coffee maker and mini fridge.
The pictures on the website are very well angled. The rooms are no more then 50 square feet and that includes the bathroom. When you look at the website they look enormous which they are not!The bathroom shower had mold and hair. 2 bars of soap, shampoo but no conditioner. The carpet was dirty and needed to be vacuumed. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The bed was uncomfortable with 2 old blankets thrown on it. There is 0 zero security because the doors are accessed straight from parking lot and all you have is a thin door, lock and chain.Back to the lobby again, the photos are miss leading. It is only 9x9 and it is full of trash and clutter. The continental breakfast was coffee, some old dried out muffins and a bunch of hard green bananas. Not very continental!!! Oh and NO WIFI!!!This place was not worth $95.00 per night, wondered if it was an hourly rental place, it was awful.Spend the extra and go to the Extended stay down the road. Honestly, this is the place where herion addicts go to lie!
Avoid at all cost, pay little extra or drive a little further, trust me you will thank me. paid for a room thru priceline. yet they still wanted to place hold on my card for room which was prepaid. incidental I understand but for room no. called priceline was on phone with pricelinefor over 2 hours while priceline tried to get in contact. he kept putting them on hold, I saw him outside smoking while phone was ringing with no care in the world. priceline finally was able to get a hold of him, priceline then told me that they would place hold for incidental, when I went back to the counter I told did you talk to priceline, states yes, before I gave him my card I asked him how much are you going to put on hold, to which he would not give me a straight response. I told only 50 as that is the normal amount and what priceline told me. guess what that wasnt the case he put the room cost plus incidental on hold. super shady would never ever in my life stay at this place. at the end I had no choice being it was late and with 2 kids.
Terrible experience. Hotel is filled with trannys hotel staff is rude as can possibly be. The mades are like Asian and don’t understand a word your saying. Breakfast tuh what breakfast? Left a whole basket of bathroom stuff called back a hour or two later when realized and they claim they found nothing so where did it go? Was paying dam near $900 a week for the top room and there parkinglot is the worse road i have ever drove on completely dangerous cops were at the hotel every other day for god only knows why.
This place is dirty, smelly, overpriced and the staff is rude. I am trying to find one nice thing to say and I cant. For someone to say something else about this place, they are either blind or stupid or have no standards at all. I couldnt give less than one star or I would. I am here because someone else booked it and the pictures online show a different place. Google map the location. There are buckets all over the place the roof is leaking in about 10 places. The entire inside and parking lot smells like piss and the pool is in the middle of the parking lot. The parking lot is full of huge potholes, for 5 people we got 4 towels, and 2 very small soaps. We had to call the front desk because the tub wouldnt drain. Everything is outdated. The free breakfast is a joke. White bread, instant packs of oatmeal and coffee thats mostly water. They had muffins and one guest grabbed them all. I never write reviews, good or bad, but this was just an injustice. I dont want people to fall for the false advertising about this place on the internet. This place is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Very noisy, people arguing after midnight, workers going back and forth with carts and talking loud. Breakfast was just bagels, muffins, cereal, juice and coffee. Being a diabetic that was not a good variety. The room was very small but clean. Rooms could use some updating.
This place needs an overhaul or to be shut down. The rooms smell like smoke, the office looks like something out of a bad movie. The potholes in the parking lot could be used as pools. I feel like I walked into the 80s when I got here. Nothing in the rooms match, red carpet, yellow and blue walls. I dont get it! Never again!
The bed had springs poking through, pillows were flat and the hotel is noisy. I stayed for one night and hardly got any sleep. They put a $50 hold on my card which takes 3-5 days to clear. The staff was rude and the person I dealt with had a poor attitude. I travel up here for work quite often and will not be staying here again. About the only good thing I can say is that the heat works well.
A couple of years ago I stayed at this Days Inn Hotel. I learned that the staff have favoritized. One of the other clients by letting him stay passed the 28 days marker supposed to leave for one night and come back the next. Also the place is in shambles especially the parking lot when it rains there are big puddles. Also the house keeping speak non English most of them are Chinese. The WIFI sucks also some of the rooms have the flowered bedspread instead of the down comforter like other rooms that have been updated. All the rooms needs to be updated. The whole place should be redone over yes during the redoing of the place theyll loose money but theyll be getting the money back when the place is better. For example if the rip up the parking lot and redo it properly in the long run it will be better for business
A normal motel with everything you expect of it. I got a double room and there was a bathroom, towels, small soaps, beds, tables, chairs, AC, and TV inside. The TV doesnt have any shows running on it.There was a dead bugs on the curtains that looks like it has been there for a while. This leaves me to question the hygiene standards of the room service.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. They call themselves a non-smoking facility, but I was placed in three different rooms that reeked of smoke. Carpets are dirty, windows are cracked, soda machine broken, and smoke smell pairs well with the moldy towel/body odor smell in the rooms. Also, one of the owners??? Yelled at me and called me a liar when I told her I was checking out of the hotel after being in three awful rooms. She accuse me of using the room to relAx (I put my stuff in there, went immediately to a funeral, and checked out right after) charged me 99 dollars anyway. Wow, what a hole!
Crusty, run down, looks like hasnt been renovated since 1982. The wall mounted AC spews dust and debris, found dirty utensils by the bed, tv had burn holes in frame, remote only changed channels and does not turn tv on or off. Ive seen contemporary Days Inn that are way more modern and clean. I feel like they forgot they own this one
Perfectly reasonable for for the price (which is high but youre near NYC). I was concerned about the awful reviews, but I found nothing to warrant them. Check-in was easy, the room was clean, the bathroom spotless. Towels on the small side (saves money on laundry), in-room coffee is lousy, but the staff is friendly, the bed is comfortable and the air conditioning works.
Kinda gross-porter jokes at every encounter, piss smell and soured scents in breeze ways. Garbage in front of rooms. Mold and mildew and ice build-up in and around kitchen. Bleach ridden towels, crunchy linen. But all else cheap and pretty close to parkways and community attractions--a plus. Wi-fi dont even bother to use it.
This motel isnt worth the money for a night. If espically you need to stay a long time. The maxium stay is 28days unless you know the owners and then they give favorite tism to you. There is a indian man that staying there and he dosnt ever leave after 28days because he knows the owners. The place is run down espically the parking lot and espically when it rain the roof leaks and the parking lot gets flooded. The maids dont speak english there mostly chinese except for one who is spanish and she is the nicest. If you luck out with the newer room which has a white comforters on the bed the older room have the flowered bedspread on the bed. The best room is 225 which is the biggest room and the best. There is one room that has a jaccuzzi tub instead of a shower. The wifii really stinks. There are alot of hookers that work out of this place.
This hotel is very outdated, but atleast it was clean. There was a minifridge, iron, and blow drier in the room. The free continental breakfast is bad: imagine generic cereal, moldy fruit and good old concentrated OJ. There is an ice pail in the room but I could not find an ice machine outside. The hotel is very affordable so it is easy to overlook the outdated building and cheap breakfast.
Old!!! By the outside and the orange cone ( if you know what Im talking about; LOL )It looks like it was closed down October 21st 1997.I actually thought it was closed down when I got there.., and the pool was just in the middle of horribleness, the rooms are clean I guess..3 out of 5, and the girl at the front is nice; Lisa!..Its cheap..!, But otherwise, it smells of a old wet pack of Marlboro Reds. And its like convicts, filthy filthy fked up orange cones.,With a Prison Break feel.... lol 😷
The room was extremely small and smoky, even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The manager sprayed some No-Smoke but clothes were smelly after only one very short night in the room. Very disappointed for the price. This Days Inn hasnt been updated - ever.
Nothing but a Cesspool of negativity and disgust. staff not only incompetant AF but, with slumlord mentality and douchebaggery. oh, and smug about it. fully aware of how theyre treating you, and uncooperative ta boot. ive stayed in hookerspit hobo dens with better service and accommodations. for further details check chrys hoppers review. . not 1 star, negative stars to the extreme
The place is old and dirty. I looked at 2 rims and they were both gross, since I smoked while walking into the smoking room (looked at it and didnt like it) they charged me a half a day for being in there for 5 min. Dont go here unless you dont mind being in filthy old places
Terrible, terrible, if you come from another state don’t get this place you are not going to save much, the breakfast is just orange juice bagel cereals an muffins. The hallway stinks and the Bedroom carpet it looks disgusting. I give -3 stars. Don’t get this hotel at all.
They do not clean the rooms they claim they will leave a bag with stuff on your door everyday they dont do that i reported that the toilet flushing by itself no one takes a look at it their toilet has a leak housekeeping staff not very friendly refrigerator is dirty coffee pots dirty they treat you like you staying there for free.
I would give this motel a -5 if that was available They need to rename this motel to nightmare motel. It is old and run down, and stinks and the floor is sticky im actually afraid for my life in this neighborhood. I hate my boss for putting me in this place and Im thinking about quitting
Disappointing... We had a very worst experience, the rooms were not cleaned, not vacuumed for a long time, water clogs in the bath tub, path ways were stinky, staffs covering evening hours were rude etc... We were wondering how come a property maintained like this in a prime place like Hicksville.. Better search for a house in AirBnB...
On 03/05/18 Im staying at Days inn Hicksville, Room 128.* First of all, the pictures reflect maybe the hotel 20 years ago* We can hear every step of the guest upstairs* tub drain is clogged* Kosovos streets are in better condition than the parking lot* Breakfast is a joke* The room does Wi-Fi at the speed of dial up (Do you remember that time?)* I went to the lobby office looking for a solution but all i got was a friendly face telling me....Theres nothing I can do* Other than that, Its a nice place if you like Vintage and like a revival of the 70s
Even with NOTES on the reservation to NOT charge card on file, cause it wasn’t the card of the person checking in. They still charged the card & then LIED about it. Not only did they not have the physical card that was on file, it didn’t match the ID of the person checking in.
This hotel is great, the manager and all the personal who work in this hotel is very caring and polite, the rooms are very clean and well take care , i have been a costumer for almost a year now, when i come to the parties of Karen of femmefever, i recommend this hotel, is very good.💋💕

2022-06-03Positive: Clean, comfortable .bed and nice staff. hotel employee is the best asset to the hotel,he is very helpful and tries his best to make sure that guests are happy. Negative: The grab & go breakfast is the worst-at least offer a bagel, roll, muffins.management switched from Cablevision to dish without letting guests know-3hrs.no tv.with dish-limited channels(30)& constantly freezing up, which didnt happen with Cab

2022-06-19Negative: My mother in law had to leave the room abruptly at night before retiring into bed because of an infestation of gnats or tiny bugs with wings were found in the bed . totally disrupted and then treated poorly. i will never recommend anyone to stay there .

2022-06-03Tried charging me for smoking in my room when I don’t smoke and they wouldn’t even listen nor step out of the front desk to inspect the room with me. Indian guy was very rude. Had to contact my credit card and fix the issue through them.

2021-12-16Not worth my words, just dont do it. There are options in the area with MUCH better service and a lot cleaner and safer than this super etchy spot. Theres better options in walking distance! With a manager that is literally over the guys shoulder that does his best at check-in while the manager watches him and you yet doesnt speak at all, not even if you look back at him(because he does direct eye contact with NO words) he says nothing at all.

2022-01-11Genuinely supposed about the size and cleanliness of this area. Ive had lots of horrible motel experiences and they were more expensive then this location. Whoever is running this place alongside the staff is doing an amazing job

2021-10-31It needs updating. Bathroom looked nice and new, but the rest of the room looked like the 80s. I did appreciate the coffee maker and refrigerator. Needed blankets and the room cleaned or fresh towels. I was there for 3 nights and no maid service. Not complaining, just information that might help the next people that come.
