Here is a highly skilled artisan of the highest order. He fixed an old worn leather backpack of mine with such attention to detail that no one, not even I, would know its over 30 years old! My shoes needed new rubber soles. He not only repaired them but cleaned them such that they looked new. Run - dont walk - to this mans shop. In addition to the high quality of his work, he is very kind and decent. Prices are reasonable for his work. [Im looking around to more things to take to him!]
Superb job repairing an ordinary handbag. Ready on time. Cannot even see where damage was. The staff has an amazing can-do response when asked whether or not an item can be fixed.Recommended.
I had brought in a very old leather coat for restoration (zipper destroyed, lining torn, sleeves coming apart at the seams) - incredibly the coat was completed in just one week, and looks better than new, while still keeping its old luster. Thanks so much for the exceptional work.

Repaired, strengthened and reattached the strap on a leather messenger bag. Took time to discuss the proposed work and best solution then executed excellently. Not the cheapest, but good value considering the time spent. Take your special pieces here.
Very good place. I took my expensive leather jacket here cause it had a huge rip in it. And they fixed the rip and made it look brand new like when i brought it. I was very happy with this place.

2022-08-07He is the best cobbler / leather repair man Ive been to in my life. Not saying that lightly. I had a pair of brown shoes that got majorly roughed up from a bicycle accident and after some care and attention here they looked like they came back new from the factory! Couldnt believe it! Go here for all of your repairs. You will be happy you did! 10/10

2021-07-01Found them on Google based on their reviews. Took my bag to him to be fixed and you cannot even tell it needed repair. When I went to Louis Vuitton they wanted way more money to fix in addition to the time for the repair. I use this bag as a day to day bag and really needed it back sooner. I was so happy with the repair as well as the time it took.

2021-12-01Amazing show repair and a fair price. Ive taken shoes from top brands including Stuard Weitzman and Rag & Bone for full repair of the heel/toe and leather patch work on my Italian loafers. My Yves Saint Laurent belt was fixed as well. Highly recommend DCarlos shoe repair.

2021-03-03Best place in NYC to bring your leather goods!! They are pros and affordable. I bought a Bergdorf Goodman croco leather from a thrift shop and wore it once before my puppy got to it and destroyed the buckle that was wrapped in leather. As this is a very nice belt, I brought it to two shops, both who said it couldnt be fixed, or that it wouldnt look good if they managed to mend it...As I was about to give up hope, a neighbor recommended Carlos shop and I brought it in. He was EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE about the piece and all things leather. He explained exactly what he was going to do to make it look great, while keeping the job affordable. The belt looks brand new and the buckle is spotless!! Im planning on bringing here all my winter boots when the season is over so Carlos can work his magic and give them a nice shine before I store them.

2021-03-05Best repair service. Carlos was able to fix a vintage Gucci bag and made it look brand new. I go to him for everything. He is also so nice and goes over and beyond. Great price for the service he provides!
