I can not say enough good things about Dr. Wheat and her entire staff. She always calls back personally, and has helped our family and me with taking care of a senior rescue (who will live to be 40 since we told him that lol).In all seriousness, they have had a lot of patience with me (I’m not a new dog owner, but after losing 3 of my lives in less than 2 years, I’m acting like one!). She is extremely knowledgeable and has one of the most caring hearts!

Just went for a quick nail trim (since my Dane hates getting her nails done, bucks like a bull on an 8 second ride, and I cant trim them alone) and they trimmed her nails in record time! In and out in less than 5 minutes. *mic drop*My dog is also naturally a bit timid, but she responds really well to the staff. They exude a great calm energy and respond to different pets personalities, accordingly. Another great visit, as always. 👍🏼

I can not believe that person would write a review full of lies. Dr. Wheat by far is the best, loving, kind vet. I had 2 dogs for 14 years and as they were getting old Dr. Wheat just kept them both comfortable never once out of her mouth would she say put them to sleep. She never pushes medicines, never pushes xrays, tests, never!!!! She has the best prices. And when both dogs passed her staff sent us personalized cards as well as ashes of the dogs foot. So that pysco liar made me so upset to tell such lies. This is a wonderful office my family and I highly recomend her! Save your lies for someone else. Love you Dr. Wheat and Staff!

Dr. Wheat and her office staff are very caring and helpful. She was spot on with the diagnosis of my cat. She made my cat and my sons comfortable. My sons called her many times for advice she always called back and was always kind and caring. Thank you Dr. Wheat and staff.

Warm, wonderful and real sense of peace knowing your pet is so lucky to be treated at Bayport Veterinary Hospital! Dr. Wheat is an amazing veterinarian and person. The office is immaculately clean neat and fresh, staff very friendly and professional. I look forward to meeting Dr. Goose and to develop the same trust and sense of peace.

A woman who pretends to have a heart. Ill always believe and so many others agree my dog would still be alive if we had brought him to a more loving and caring vet. There was more that could have been done and I got professional opinions on what Im saying. This woman is heartless. Her and her staff are massive liars as well. Everyone had agreed that the woman is full of excuses. Bring your beloved pet to a vet with a heart for your pet and not your wallet. Shes also a very judgmental person as well. shes all about the money and not the pets. Unfortunately I had put too much faith in her and thats my biggest regret. In regards to this very ignorant and false assumption from this heartless so called doctor the reason she did not see my dog until 3 days later was because my dog got hurt on a Friday evening and her office was closed until Monday (lie right there on my so called negligence). Second because my dog started showing pain on Sunday night I couldnt wait until Monday so $700.00 later well spent brought him into an emergency hospital to get him out of pain until I could see this so called loving vet who judges people on their finances the very next day when she opened on Monday in which paid of course for the visit and the meds. I brought my dog back in on Friday to be checked and thats when SHE talked me into putting him to sleep which I paid for..so now were up to over $1000.00. I have a professional witness who was with me while she made up every excuse in the world that my beloved dog needed to be put to sleep because I guess she ASSUMED I did not have the money to further help my dog. Ummm only saw him twice? yet another lie from this woman with no heart and ethics. My dog always had gastro problems in which he was always brought to HER on many occasions for meds, etc. So yet another lie. I keep records and again have proof of people being there with me. I do not harass people. If calling the office to find out a final diagnosis which I was never told is harassing and not getting any answers than Im guilty but i think anyone in their right mind would want to know. SHE had me denied for another dog in which I got anyway after they saw all of my dogs medical papers, his home, his grooming care receipts, etc. and of course pure love for 9 yrs. What she doesnt know is that I have professional people working with me on this who for yrs saw all the care and love my dog has gotten through the yrs. I guess she had to find excuses as to why she was so negligent in what she did to my dog and yes we talked for a long time with me asking what else could be done...her response was nothing as she saw myself, my family and advocate sit there in tears. She also told me I would have to be a 24 hour nurse in which I aid I didnt mind doing that. Im saying this because she came up with every excuse she could because she assumed I did not have the resources to keep my dog alive. She did however feel I had the resources for a $100 bracelet to keep his ashes in, in which I purchased but to put his hair in and not his ashes. Paying for ashes wouldnt bring him back and his hair to me is LIFE not death. Deborah Wheat is unethical and needs to stop lying to cover herself and the terrible thing she did. If thats the type of vet you want for your fur babies than shes the one for you. I just dont want to see another person go through anything like that. Deborah need to get your story straight and stop hurting innocent animals, lying and assuming what people can and cant afford. Thats not your job. Her outright lies that she wrote confirms what I thought to be totally truth and thats where I speak from.

Absolutely the best care and compassion for your pets! The doctors and staff are wonderful, always professional and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone needing an exceptional veterinarian.

My pup loves Dr. Wheat...have to admit, hes sweet on her...think he plays sick just to go see her...highly recommend....very professional, always accommodating...so glad we found her...
