We had a wonderful experience with Decks Unique getting a deck put in to attach to our semi in-ground pool. They came out for an estimate and emailed a very detailed quote with picture examples. The installation only took a few hours. The guys that did the install were very professional and did an amazing job. Would definitely recommend Decks Unique to anyone who is looking to get a deck done!
I have to say, Lou, Jason, and crew absolutely top notch. Impressive turnaround on everything, plans, proposal, papers and then labor and getting the deck done. Lightning fast! Attention to detail as well. For example, we had planters installed over the deck. They made sure that the boards on the planters lined up with the deck. Same with the privacy wall, all lines matching. Decks Unique is the way to go! Thank you!
Yesterday we had our deck installed by Decks Unique. I had a good feeling about what we were going to be getting after we initially consulted with our salesman. He was great, and didnt try to oversell us. The deck was installed in ONE day! Demolition of the old deck only took a little over an hour.When the building crew was beginning the basic deck layout, I asked to speak to the foreman..and they said speak to Lou. As it turns out, hes the owner of the company. He was on site and making sure everything got started correctly, and was there most of the day. Very reassuring.The guys did an excellent job and worked like a well-oiled machine. The deck came out perfect! They cleaned up and were very careful around our property. I looked it over carefully, and saw nothing but perfection!So far, its been less than 6 hours since the deck was built, and if it wasnt raining right now, Id be out there marveling at our beautiful Trex Enhance Foggy Wharf.If you are considering having a deck built, by all means...use Decks Unique!.
Our experience working with Decks Unique was top notch from the moment we got in contact with them up until the project was complete. Lou was incredibly helpful in taking our rough idea and providing a number of options that would work for our space. He was detailed when answering any of our questions and the utmost professional when reviewing the various ways we could go about tackling the job.We were happy to work with a company that was understanding of budgetary constraints and make sure we explored options to achieve the ideal deck install without sacrificing on size or quality. Thank you to Decks Unique for our wonderful new deck! From beginning to end, the process was great. Jason who came to our house to provide an estimate was knowledgeable and personable and worked with us to figure out design details and showed us every scenario with corresponding prices. He left the decision to us, but his input was invaluable.Our build team arrived right on time and i have never seen a more efficient team of workers. My existing wood deck was down and carted away within an hour! The men worked hard and were meticulous - once it was all done (in one day to our great suprise!) one of the build team even washed the deck twice! The remaining men helped get the furniture back on the deck, which was kind.I would highly recommend Decks Unique to anyone who is interested in a new deck. I am so glad I chose them to make my backyard more beautiful!
Very conscientious. Built deck several years ago (9). Has been durable and sturdy. Some wear and tear this past winter. Came in a heartbeat to align and correct. Wouldn’t even take a tip. Pure class!! Would highly recommend, again.
Decks Unique did an outstanding job and exceeded our expectations. We were impressed by their website and the attention Kyriel provided us at their welcoming Commack showroom. Jason was very helpful in the design and drafting of the deck when he came to our home. Their team removed our old deck in less than two hours and they were tidy. A week later Lou and his team built our beautiful new deck in about seven hours. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. They have our highest recommendation.

Decks Unique was an awesome company to work with. From getting an estimate to going over all the options and details they were all so kind and happy to help. I must have emailed them 30 times and Tom was always responsive and courteous. Today the crew came and built a 370 sq ft wooden deck in half a day. I just had Decks Unique replace my current deck which was damaged when a tree had cracked and crashed through it.The removal of the old deck was done by a company which Decks Unique contacts, they were good and quick getting the old deck out of there.The install was understandably rescheduled for the next day due to weather. When the crew arrived that morning they went right to work. They worked quick, precise and all in sync with each other. Actually this is a crew of good carpenters that do nothing but build decks, they build 1 deck each day! I thought it would take them at least 2 to 3 days to have a deck this large completed but it was finished in 1 day. The next day I did notice a couple of things that needed a little tuning up and they came back out the following day and took care of everything. Lou, Manny and the rest of the crew did some good hard work here.I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Decks Unique to friends and neighbors. Their many 5 star Google reviews is the main reason why I chose this company. I cant remember ever having a contractor finish a job to 100% satisfaction, but this job was finished completely and very well.ThanksRich Dorfman
The Decks Unique crew installed a new deck a few days ago to replace our old one, and we couldnt be more pleased. The old decking was removed on a Friday, and on Monday the new Trex deck was installed in just a bit more than four hours. Wow! The workmanship was excellent, and the crew was efficient and courteous. We highly recommend Decks Unique.
Crew just left our home, We are more than happy with the work and custom job they did meeting all of our requests. Crew was On time, Polite, Neat, Fast. Owner was on site making sure the job was perfect. It nice to see a company deliver what was promised with no price changes or delays. Office staff was in touch before, during and after the project. We meet with 4 local firms and Unique was the only firm willing to go the extra mile to be sure we were happy with the product in the end.
Our 30 year old cedar deck finally needed replacing. The big question, who to replace it. We decided to go with Decks Unique, our local decking company located in Commack. Decks Unique, Inc. was amazing from start to finish. A top notch Trex installer and very competitively priced. When Jason, (Design Consultant) first came to our home to design and measure our deck, he was able to instantly generate a layout of our thoughts on a 3-D computer program. It was much easier to visualize on the screen and make any modifications we needed. Also, the estimate was immediate and he was able to incorporate pricing options within our budget. No waiting days or a week for an estimate like other installers. The crew was remarkable; very professional, always on-time and worked diligently to build our deck in one day. They worked as a team and were incredible down to every detail. Superior craftsmanship!
From beginning to end we were met with prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable service. We worked primarily with Jason, who after meeting with us, followed up right away. A nice touch that we hadnt experienced elsewhere in our search. Also really liked that we got multiple renderings of our project and that Jason came back to our house to take more measurements to make sure everything was correct. The job was initially supposed to take two days, but it was completed in one and our new deck and stairs look beautiful! Quality work.
We had a two story deck installed this past week. We were highly impressed with the Company. Owner Lou was on site everyday. Each and every worker worked their tails off. They said they would be there at 0730hrs and they worked non stop all day. They were courteous of our property and our neighbors. Clean, respectful, and professional. I called Decks Unique (Kyriel-General Manager/Administrative). From that first call, I sensed true care in her tone, professionalism, and without a doubt, having someone come out to me soon for an estimate (based on my availability), in addition, a match for my needs. I am one, who stresses being punctual, timely communication, and professionalism, not to mention doing a phenomenal job. I was able to set up a consultation for the next afternoon. As soon as I finished my conversation with Kyriel, an email was sent to me confirming my appointment, as well as links on decking material to better educate me, as well as introducing me to who would be coming, and his background. Jason (Sales) was punctual, professional, patient, nice, and thorough with his explaining the difference of decking materials, as well as showing me samples. After Jason showed up for our estimate/consultation, I knew by this time, this was one distinction of them being “unique.” At the conclusion of our initial consultation, Jason stated again, that if I have any questions I may have, to send an email or call, and he will get back to me as soon as possible. He followed up later that night at 10pm, with a thank you for allowing him into my home, and again, offered answers to any questions I may have. Over the next several days, he returned several of my emails, and calls promptly, and worked with me on my needs, and price. Jason, and I set a follow up appointment on January 16, 2019, and with my wife by my side, we finalized color, and specifics of our plan, and signed a contract. On January 17, 2019, Jason sent me a sketch, and 3D renderings of what the project will look like (another “unique” touch). We set tentative dates, only changing due to it being winter, and it all worked out. They had a company come to my home and “demo” the old deck. Throughout this whole process, Kyriel was very communicative in touching base with me on times of material being delivered, and the crew showing up to begin. It was ALL on point. Monday, January 28, Lou (owner), John, and Thomas all began building my 2nd story deck shortly after 7am. It was complete on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 30 minutes before we received that “snow squall”, or “vortex snow storm.” All 3 guys continuously worked in such extreme cold conditions, leaving nothing short, but phenomenal, awesome craftsmanship and perfection. After the deck was completed, John, and Thomas did a full clean up of my yard, and helped me put the outside tables, and chairs back on the deck, and patio. When setting up the whole deck project, I informed Kyriel, that if work needed to be completed after Wednesday, January 30, 2019, (we would have to make special arrangements, as Thursday, January 31, 2019), I would be unable to be home, as I will be taking my dad in for surgery. On Thursday afternoon, I received an email from Kyriel about the welcome kit I will be receiving from Trex, and the necessary warranty information. She included at the bottom, “We hope your father is doing well.” I must say, what a class act this company is…….and UNIQUE!!!! Upon completion, since the weather was a bit crazy, with the storm moving in, we both collectively forgot about the flag pole holder, we had agreed on them hanging for me. Since I was busy with work, and life, I called Kyriel on Monday February 4, 2019. We both agreed that Wednesday, February 6, 2019, would work for both of us. As promised, John was waiting for me at my house, and took care of it. From the point of me calling to secure a consultation/estimate, until the flag pole holder was hung, Kyriel, Lou, John, Thomas, and Jason, ALL (this is what also makes them “UNIQUE”) were true professionals, fulfilled all promises, and most importantly spectacular awesome looking job. I’ve shown pictures to co-workers, and a few have already expressed interest in calling for future projects.
Exceptional service and assistance. I considered several design changes and Jasons drafting and design skills resulted in exactly what I envisioned. Timing was exactly as promised. My old deck was taken down on Wednesday and, on Thursday, a crew built a new 300 square foot deck, with planters, benches and beautiful color border in just 8 hours. Very organized and professional. Trex is a great product and Ive already received numerous compliments on the design and look of the new deck. Highly recommend working with Decks Unique.
We highly recommend Decks Unique! We just had them install a deck and couldnt be more pleased with their services. Their retail space has an array of deck board displays so it gives you a better idea of what the decking will look like rather than looking at the small samples. The crew they sent showed up on time each day and they worked until at least 6pm each night. They finished the job in just over 2 days as promised. Such a hardworking group of men and very professional. We literally only have praise for this crew and Decks Unique.
Very happy with the work Decks Unique did. We replaced an approximately 200 sq ft porch with a new Trex Island Mist with new railing. We couldnt be happier with the work and professionalism of Decks Unique throughout the whole process. As promised they were in and out within a day and everything was left neat with no clue any construction had ever happened that day.
The entire experience from our very first call with Kyriel through todays project wrap up was an absolute pleasure. Tom was extremely patient with our design phase and assisted us in building the perfect deck for our needs and lifestyle. What was supposed to be a two day install became an 8 hour master class in customer service, craftsmanship and client care. Yes... they completed our massive deck in 8 hours! The courteous, skilled and prompt crew included Lou (by the way... is the owner and was on site working to ensure quality control) Manny, John, Tomas, Tim, and Derek. Overall we are happy with the front porch and side stoop Decks Unique built for us. It took them a day to complete, but the job looks rushed. Boards aren’t squared off and are popping. Nail holes aren’t filled. Posts are wobbly. It’s the type of craftsmanship you notice that takes a job from good work to great work. In our opinion they do good work. Jason is nice and professional. His team was great. We were originally quoted as it being a 2-3 day job which turned into a 1 day job. One of our plants that wasn’t even in the way was stepped on repeatedly, and could have been avoided.UPDATE: 3 stars to 4 starsThe owner, Lou, personally came out and we discussed our issues with the deck. He assured us that everything would be corrected. It was, and we appreciate his efforts.
I would highly recommend Decks Unique, they are the truly the most professional company I came across. I interviewed with four certified Trex builders and they take the cake. From the initial design meeting, Jason provided a great design on his computer right in front of us and then showed us several pricing options, again right on the spot, to help us find a combination of deck and rail that fit our budget. Their pricing was right in the middle of their competition. When it came to the build, Lou and his crew were amazing. I couldnt believe the owner of the company was on site and framed my entire deck. Don, the foreman was a true craftsman, it is clearly evident the he and his crew are master carpenters. Thanks to all involved, a job well done, you can use me as a reference any time.
Exceptional workmanship.Jason C. was a pleasure to work with. He designed the deck and was the main contact person. Responded to emails quickly even on weekends and kept me abreast of any scheduling changes. In a time where contractors do not always get back to you in a timely fashion, or even at all, this was a refreshing change of pace.Once the deck work had been started Lou and his team were A+ in workmanship, punctuality, and were very personable.I would definitely recommend them, and already have!
Guys did a phenomenal job. I was promised 2-3 days for the works to be completed,but guys came at 7 am and by 5pm all the job was completed. I strongly recommend this company if you need a new deck. Jason worked within my budget and he delivers what he promised.

We needed a small deck around our above ground pool , and I had no hesitation in calling Jason. Decks Unique had replaced our main deck after Sandy. This was the only call i would make. As before Jasons design was superb and the guys on the construction crew turned the 3d renderings into a flawless structure. Again leaving my back yard and driveway as if no-one had been there at all. This companys work and customer service are second to none . If you want a deck built this is the only phone call to make
My project was the installation of a very large deck which also required a lot of manual digging to level the land. Decks Unique did an amazing job and completed the project in three day’s. The demo and installation teams were professional, on time, and true to their word. They are extremely trustworthy and deliver outstanding results. It’s never easy to take the first step on a large and expensive project but Decks Unique eliminated any fears or concerns. The owner even comes in sight and works with the team on the build. Incredible....I can’t say enough about how great this company is.I would recommend them to everyone I know and I definitely plan to use them again for future projects.
I went with Decks Unique after a few consultations with some other contractors. Tom did a good job going over our options and was responsive throughout the process to my emails. I liked that Decks Unique was not a general contractor and more of a deck company. They came on time at 7:30 AM and was done our Trex deck before noon. They worked efficiently and cleaned up when they were. I’d recommend them if you are planning on adding/updating your deck.
Jason worked with me and my design for my new deck. He was amazing to work with very professional and very patient with the vision that I had for the project. I very highly recommend using this company if you want to have a deck built. The team that came to do the work was also very professional hard-working and amazing. My wife and I shopped numerous deck suppliers and found that Decks Unique was competitive and had all of the best reviews and awards. We were especially impressed by the fact that Decks Unique had a legitimate showroom and extremely professional manager, Kyriel.Within a few days of leaving a deposit, the owner came to our home to accurately measure the deck area. No surprises, the price was exactly the same as quoted in the office.We were given an installation date that needed to be changed to one day later due to torrential downpours. We were notified well in advance by Kyriel, so there was no problem.On the appointed day , Decks Unique arrives at 7:15 am (I was told they would arrive between 7-7:30 am) and began to demo my existing deck. The new deck was completely and beautifully completed by lunchtime.If you need a new deck, I recommend Decks Unique without any hesitation. Why go anywhere else.
The Demo /install crew arrived on time. You could see from the very start they are a well coordinated group . The work was completed ahead of schedule. I found Decks Unique around 1990. Since then, they are the only deck company I go to for deck building and maintenance. Our first deck was a cedar wood deck. Impeccable workmanship, special features, designed to fit the space. In 2006 we had an extension built onto the house. They put up our second deck to accommodate the design change of our backyard. In 2013, we had to change the deck to accommodate my wife who became wheelchair bound. Entrances to the house had to be ramped. We decided to go with Trek Decking. Once again, incredible workmanship. In 2020, a few features on the deck started to come apart. The stairs fell down about an inch and one of the boards had fallen down in a small spot. One call to Decks Unique and they came over right away to fix these new issues and restore their work back to new. As a company, Decks Unique takes pride in its work and makes sure that the customer is happy, even after 8 years. By the way, they didnt charge me a penny for coming back to do some repairs. Decks Unique...the BEST!
Working with Lou and Decks Unique was clearly one of the best decisions I made. After having a completely unsatisfactory experience with a different contractor who abandoned my deck job, Decks Unique was recommended to me by a contracting professional Id previously done business with. I met with Lou on site where he showed a comprehensive understanding of the job as well as making a series of value engineering suggestions that proved both aesthetically and economically superior.Lou and his team are reliable, professional, and the quality of their work is excellent. Working with this company was a pleasure from our first sales/design meeting with Tom Gold back in early March to scheduling and customer service from Kyriel in the office to even the field deck builders, John and Manny. We had a few change orders in our design build and Tom was extremely responsive to all our inquiries and questions. During this unfortunate and uncertain time, our project was postponed almost three months and each month they kept the line of communication open updating us with their scheduling status. After the deck was built, there were a few punch list items that were handled professionally and within one day. Thank you to the entire Decks Unique team. My wife and I love our new balcony deck and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

We are amazed with Decks Uniques work...despite the pandemic, they stayed in touch, told us when the job would occur, had an earlier opening and called us to see if an earlier date worked for us. They came when they said they would, at exactly the time they said they would arrive. The old deck was removed in a few hours just before a rainstorm started, then they came the next day with a full crew and erected the new deck in a matter of a few hours. Their workmanship is excellent, their professionalism unmatched. We are very pleased.

From the beginning of this process with the estimator Jay I knew we had found the right company to build our deck. Incredibly fast response and within 3 hours of sending our design and talking it over I was sent a 3D rendering. It was exactly what we wanted, the price was right so we set a date. On the install day, Lou, Manny and the whole crew showed up at 7am ready to roll. You don’t have to know anything about building a deck to know these guys knew their stuff. The whole thing was framed up in two hours. They finished in 1 day and we couldn’t be happier, it looks AMAZING. In my experience home renovations are a pain the the butt. Unreturned phone calls, poor communication, hidden costs. Not with this company, wasn’t a dime of overage or cutting corners. Couldn’t recommend enough. Since my 1st phone call to them, everyone at Decks Unique has been a pleasure to work with. Great professionalism and timely responsiveness by everyone. When I called to inquire about the various deck board materials, Kyriel was well informed and able to explain to me the pros and cons of each one, which helped me make my decision on what to go with. As I was working on a tight timeline due to other projects that were dependent on the deck being completed, they were very accommodating. The team (Lou, Manny, William and Thomas) came, removed the old deck and installed the new 11 x 16 Trex deck within 4 hours.I am very satisfied with the end results and am glad they provide a 5 year warranty on their workmanship and 25 years on the deck boards.

I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I have had from start to finish with Decks Unique! This is the second time I was redoing my deck and I was very nervous and didnt want another repeat. The first company I used was a disaster; my husband recently passed away from lung cancer and I should have done more research. On the Trex website is where I found Decks Unique listed as a Platinum Pro installer with many reviews and that gave me a great deal of reassurance. I met with Jason who was so professional, helpful, caring and took the time to answer every one of questions no matter how trivial. Karyiel in the office was also just as wonderful as Jason. Then the crew not only made my dream come true and I now how an absolutely gorgeous maintenance free deck of my dreams they were incredible! Clean, efficient, professional, polite ... We just had our first big home project competed by Decks Unique. Tom (who does the estimates) was great and helpful in picking the design/colors and answering all our questions. He even helped with providing visuals of what our deck would look like. We had a wood deck that needed to be partially demoed. Pete and his crew were efficient and did a great job with demo and clean up. Kyriel was in touch with us at every step coordinating dates and times until completion of the project. The staff that put together our deck were professional, quick, did an excellent job, and left our yard like they were never there. Prices are competitive and worth every penny for the level of work and satisfaction.
The brick walkway between the street and the entrance to our house had become dangerous, because tree roots were pushing up the bricks creating an uneven surface that caused people to stumble. We asked Decks Unique to design a new walkway, preferably one that did not involve steps. They came up with the ingenious idea of building a boardwalk that gradually sloped down from the house entrance to the street. A 4-man crew built the boardwalk and some rails in one day. During the installation, the foreman kept asking us if we liked the work they were doing; he said we must be pleased with the result. We are pleased with the result. And the next day, a neighbor stopped by to say that the boardwalk looked really nice. This is the second time we have used Decks Unique. Two years ago they built a large deck in the back of our house. We make use of that deck daily, even in the winter. The people who built the deck and the boardwalk are professionals, and the company clearly wants to please the customers. I recommend this company without reservation.
We are extremely happy with the job Decks Unique did with building our deck! After the initial in house consultation, at our request, Jason came back a second time to review the plans and answer some questions we had regarding alternative designs. He was patient and helped us come up with a final design that met all of our needs and wants. An excellent job done by Manny, John, Thomas, and Orlando! They started demolishing our old deck promptly at 7am and finished the new, beautiful deck by 12 noon! The yard was completely cleaned up and they even left my hydrangea bush intact which was next to the old deck. I highly recommend this company from the consultation with Tom to the finished product. Designed a deck thAt was feasible to my home specs and personal preferences. Our salesman George took the time to offer many options even returning to ensure all was to our liking before start of deck project. The 3 man crew worked tirelessly for 4 days straight to install a 20x24 ft trek deck with complete with all the bells and whistles. Solar lights , in step lighting two staircases and a built in bench as well as complete storage access underneath. These guys are amazing. They took care and pride in the work they did and you can see it in the design and craftsmanship of the finished product. We are so pleased with the end results. They also clean up every thing down to the last remnant of decking and carted it away. And even put my extremely heavy ceramic picnic table on it as they knew this was going to be a chore on our own. I dont write reviews, not for lack of appreciation, but due a basic aversion to social networking and the internet in general.I made an exception in this case because my family did truly have an outstanding experience with Decks Unique as a company as well as with their people, Tom, Lou and the crew at the showroom.We have a small house with a large deck which sits directly on the water and the quality and look of this deck is directly related to how we enjoy the house and the overall value of the property. It is a big piece of the equation and we had a good deal of trepidation going into the research and selection of a construction firm.From beginning to end of the evaluation, Tom and his team came out on top, through their show room, 3D renderings, price and speed with turning around our design and general questions. They were very flexible with our scheduling and were consistently on-time and reliable.Most importantly the deck and the balcony associated with the deck have come out beautifully. The house has never looked better and their attention to the detailed carpentry and fit and finish exceeded our expectations.A final note, when we did find 2 small issues with spacing of railings on the deck, Lou, who was the foreman, came out personally and remediated the problem.A final final note, when I asked for a paid in full receipt for the work done for insurance purposes, they hand delivered it to the house in a day.I could not have asked for a better sales, customer service and deck delivery experience.

Decks Unique built a new deck for me in July 2016. From start to finish they were great. Thomas Gold was pleasant to deal with and gave me a fair estimate. He answered all my questions through emails and always got back to me.I had a contractor who is a friend of mine give me an estimate as well. He gave me a quote and then recommended I use a company that specializes in decks. He said they would do the work much faster and at less cost because of how quickly they can do it. He was right.The day of installation the Decks Unique crew lead by Donald the foreman were great. They didnt mess around. Got right to work in 95 deg. weather and didnt cut corners. These guys are pros. There was a crew of 6 guys with each of them focusing on a different part of the project. My family and neighbors came by to watch all saying the same thing; They never saw guys work so fast and precise. It really was amazing to watch. I would hire Decks Unique again without hesitation.
Decks Unique is top notch all the way. Where do i start? Who likes salesman? no one including me. But Tom Gold at decks unique was more then a saleman and will change your mind quickly, he arrived on time, prepared, and immediately went to work, samples, photos, and great ideas and he gave me a few options to work with depending on my budget. Before leaving Tom gave his last pitch asking me to at least give him the opportunity for a rebuttal of other estimates.I had two other estimates and quickly called Tom, we went over each estimate (apples to apples) and it quickly became obvious that he was willing to work with me and that he wanted this job. I like nice things so i went with the top of the Trex product line. which increased the original estimate but Tom spoke with owner and a deal was made agreeable to both sides. A week and a half later i got an awesome new deck that looks outstanding. Workers were neat and professional and cleaned up nicely. Over all a great experience and in fact already have someone interested in using them, i told them Tom is your man. I can not see how anyone would go wrong or be disappointed using Decks Unique.

After receiving 5 estimates from various deck companies in Nassau and Suffolk counties, we decided to work with Deck Unique. This was a huge project for us - approximately 2500 sq feet of deck so it was an expensive undertaking and we wanted to make sure we were making the right decision.From beginning to end, Jason and the team were wonderful to deal with. Jason accommodated our schedule to meet on the weekend, he responded to every phone call and email and the team showed up on time and were very professional. Excellent work...except for some small details that this company will not address! Our original deck steps going out our sliding doors were installed when we added a room 9 years ago. The men installing the steps, which are beautiful, left 2 of exposed wall on each side of the top deck? I took photos & sent them right away to their secretary Jessie, who is so nice to deal with! Jessie got back to me, and informed us that Decks Unique doesnt do siding, but when they get a chance, they will be out here to see what can be done? Actually blamed the Architect for the measurements on the steps, but the guys installing the Deck & Steps had to have seen this during construction!? I was told that maybe they were running low on wood, which was not the case! Also over paid them for the job, but if I did not mention this, Im wondering if they would have picked up on this? Overall, Decks Unique did a beautiful job on ripping out the old deck, and the workmanship on our new deck is outstanding! But, now I have 2 holes in my siding that are exposed to rain, bugs, etc. that my wife and I have to figure out what to do about this? A little disappointed that Lou the owner did not come out asap to see this? Also will note their foreman came back the next day to put back in our hastas that run around our deck! My wife & I are very reasonable to work with, and we spent a nice penny on this deck due to the reputation that Decks Unique, Inc. has with the jobs they have done in the past! Just fell short a little...
Love our new deck! When first completed one part was not done as we liked. They came back after a week and satisfied the problem. We have a small deck and they replaced the wood with the Trex color that we liked and it makes a real difference. Great job, nice work.

I love my deck! I had my heart set on an idea for a new deck around my semi-inground pool. After being told by a few deck installers that they couldnt do what I wanted, I met with Tom Gold from Decks Unique. He looked at my idea and didnt hesitate. He took my plans and made it work. Though we were delayed several times due to snow last year (not their fault), the day finally came. The crew showed up on time, powered through the cold and made a beautiful deck. Everyone was courteous and professional. The craftmanship (mitre edges, etc) of the job was outstanding. The deck has become the focal point for relaxing by the pool during the nice weather. What can I say but that Decks Unique knows their stuff! I had a very complicated project and I spoke with 4 deck builders and Decks UNIQUE seemed to be the only ones that could handle the build. Lou the owner was on site and the build was flawless. They are doing my sisters deck next.

New Trex deck and Trex railing installed in one day, replacing an older wood deck and railing. All looks beautiful and amazing! A meticulous job well done. The annual routine of replacing rotting wood and re-painting are over! Decks Unique built my original deck 21 years ago and it was no surprise that they were still in business. We were able to use the old beams and just resurface it with timber tech. Thank you again I cant believe this deck is even more beautiful then the first one . Great Company !!

When the workers finished our job we realized they scuffed/scratched our deck in a few areas. When brought to their attention they said these things happen. Called Jason to tell them how unhappy I was about the marks. Someone finally came back with clorox wipes to get the scuffs out. The marks didnt come out.Although it was only hours after the job was completed the foreman Unique sent argued with me that we must have made the marks. NO We did not. Had to contact AZEK & open a claim for marks Decks Unique made & did nothing about. NO WAY to treat a customer. Sloppy job.They seem to only care about $$$$$. When we asked for a receipt they said your check is your receipt. FYI, customers must have a receipt/invoice to register with Azek. As per the opinion of Azek representative they should not have left it the way they did. The right thing to do would be to either replace the boards in question or contact Azek if they didnt know how to get the marks out. In my opinion this is not a quality company that stands behind their work.UPDATE: I AM 10000% SURE the scratches were there before we put furniture on the deck. I Contacted Unique & they came & tried to fix the scratches but couldnt!! (I have the emails with pictures, one of the scratches was on the edge of the deck, no way to even put a chair there) I had not even had time to be on the deck! How low that a contractor doesnt accept responsibility for something they did!
Great, reliable, professional. The crew at my home was awesome. They delivered the product, demolished the old deck, built the new deck and cleaned up like they were never there, all in the same day. As promised!

2022-01-11What a great experience from beginning to end. Found Decks Unique on social media and filled out a quick inquiry online. I received a call the next day to schedule an estimate. Prior to the design consultant arriving, we received a email from the company giving us a brief bio of the person coming to our house. It felt comfortable knowing a little info on him and it made it feel as if he was less of a stranger. Once he arrived, we reviewed our project and he understood exactly what we had in mind. He did not try to up sell us and even talked to the owner about working within our budget. As the start date approached, we became nervous and started to ask more questions about the project. We ended up adding onto our project last minute and Tom was always on top of answering all our questions and even sent us pictures with examples and descriptions of the work. The project was done in only 2 days!! They made sure we were completely satisfied with the work and we are happy to say we definitely are. The end result is simply STUNNING! Even though it’s cold out, we find ourselves on our deck admiring the work. Thank you Decks Unique!

2022-05-25My husband and I just finished using Decks Unique. They were very attentive when we first called and worked with us in what we wanted for a deck. They ended up taking only two days and were one time and worked extremely hard those two days. The workers were nice and respectful and you could tell they were knowledgeable on what they were doing. The quality of the deck is amazing and I am extremely satisfied and so glad we called Decks Unique!

2022-03-03Decks Unique designed and built a beautiful custom deck at my first home about 30 years ago. So when I moved back to Commack recently I was happy to see they were still in business. Once again, the service was excellent! From Tom who came to look at the job and gave me a prompt estimate, to Kyriel in the office who coordinated the work schedule and always kept me informed, to the workers who were punctual, neat and did excellent work. And finally, Lou, the owner who was on site throughout the entire project and still maintains a high standard of professionalism. Having had numerous home improvements done through the years, I can honestly say that Decks Unique is truly one of a kind. I would recommend them without hesitation.

2022-07-13Excellent service from start to finish. Out of the several companies I spoke with, Decks Unique impressed me the most with their promptness and professionalism. Jason helped tremendously by conceptualizing my deck build and fine-tuning the renderings to my exact preferences. Both the demo crew (of my previous deck) and the actual build were completed with such craftsmanship that I cant recommend them enough. The polite and respectful workers braved the hot, direct Summer sun and worked tirelessly until its completion. Also, the support staff was a pleasure to deal with and were very responsive to any of my needs/concerns. I give Decks Unique a resounding two thumbs up.

2022-06-01Had my deck built yesterday. Havent used it yet :-) but it came out very nice. Communication was excellent. We changed our design twice and George was available every time to help and answer all questions. The crew came in at 7am and worked in the heat throughout the day to get everything done. I have used other contractors in the past and nobody has worked these long hours.Will definitely reach out again if I have any similar projects.

2022-06-09Twelve years ago, Decks Unique installed my TREX deck and they did a great job.Over the course of time, the railings became loose and I held them up with bungee cords. I didn’t know if this was covered since it has been twelve years. I called Decks Unique and they said send some photos of the issue, which I did. I said even if it’s not covered by warranty I would pay to have them secure it.Today I was upstairs and I heard a screw gun . By the time I got downstairs, the technician from Decks Unique was gone. He had secured the deck and left without saying a word. I live in a townhouse community so all the decks are accessible in the back.Lately , I’ve had negative dealings with so many companies that don’t do the right thing by their customers. Decks Unique was the opposite. I can’t speak highly enough of their work and integrity.
