The Fried Lobster Tails and crab cakes are 🔥🔥🔥. However the scallops are overpriced $50+ for 4 scallops. Sheesh never again. Tomahawk steak was decent, but tbh I like Ruth Chris steaks better. The lemon cake tasted like a refrigerator, that’s was disappointing. It was actually hard to eat took it home but ended up throwing it out. I’m hoping it was just stored next to onions or garlic or something by accident. Place is packed so expect a wait past your reservation time.
Definitely make reservations. Very busy seems to be extremely popular with executives. Priced reasonably for a steak house. Arrived a little later than planned needed to make a 8pm show. They seated the party of 7 right away and we able to get us out in enough time to make our show. Service was great! I wish I took pics of all the food it was delicious we order filet mignon, filet mignon bone in, and wagu along with some great sides. The lobster mac and cheese is a must try. All of the filets were delicious. Wagu was too fatty for me. Bathrooms are located upstairs and is a little hike to get too.
I have been coming here for over 12 yrs and never had a disappointing meal. Went here recently with the wifey after a show at Radio city mall. The 🍷 was 👌🏾 and they have a good bourbon selection. I ordered the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly with the pink center. The spinach and Brussels sprouts complemented the steak perfectly and were the right sides. Will come back here again. Go give this place a try and u ll thank me later:
Great service by Chad! Try the bacon strip, The VIP and Honey on the Side cocktails. I had the Butter Cake (w/ice cream and whipped cream), my husband said it reminded him of a cookie from his childhood. Now, hes determined to find the cookie for me.We, also, had the 8oz filet Mignon, Cauliflower steak (w/asparagus), Waygu meatballs, mashed potatoes with clarified Truffle butter, strawberry cheesecake. The table receives complimentary bread (dripping in butter). The dress code is a bit lax, right now. We saw hoodies (my husband gasped at a GAP hoodie, LOL), trainers/sneakers, and casual white t-shirts.
We went as a party of 9, and I highly recommend you getting your reservation ahead of timeI had a 24 oz Porter house and a 16-20 oz aged Ribeye, both cooked to a hot pink medium rare center (were talking absolutely textbook). We also ordered the lobster Mac, garlic mash, Brussels and bacon, pork belly appetizer and a few bottles of wine. From beginning to end there were absolutely no flaws or delays in service and out server even know what wed ask for before we did so.SB: The old fashioned I ordered at the bar was an 8/10 and the man was moving so fast I believe if it wasnt a crowed Saturday night, it would have been 10/10.You guys made the son of a butcher very happy!
Overall good experience. My party ordered from the NYC Restaurant Week menu and although the meat was cooked to a perfect temperature and service was great, we couldn’t help but notice that the lobster bisque appetizer was too salty and - judging by our 6 oz. filet mignon and mashed potato - the flavor of peppercorns is too overpowering.
Del Frisco’s was absolutely amazing. We shared a couple of appetizers and dinner was incredible. The steak cut like butter and tasted great. My daughter had the lobster tail trio and said it was the best she had ever had.Dessert was just as good. I highly recommend the butter cake! The waiter was attentive and great. The manager even stopped by to ask how everything was.I have to say, far and away better than Ruth’s Chris steak house!
Took my son to see The Lion King this past Sunday and went to dinner at Del Frisco. It was both our first time and we enjoyed our food and time there. Our waiter Steve made the experience so pleasant. The strawberry cheesecake was the perfect ending to a well spent Sunday. According to my son “best steak he ever had!” Lol.
Best steak house Ive ever eaten at. The service is fantastic. The food here is also top notch. Also, dont hesitate to ask the server/bartender for the sommeliers recommendation. He had a very thorough knowledge of their stock and helped me find exactly what I wanted. It is very expensive, but as I always say, you get what you pay for.
We had reservations but the place was overbooked with a lot of frustrated people on a Saturday night....no worries..hit the upstairs bar and order the amazing signature VIP martini which has 12 day pineapple infused vodka. The place has a great vibe and the staff is wonderful which made the 45 minute wait tolerable. Tuna tar tar and wagu meatballs are melt in your mouth starters and the filet medallions and sea bass were perfectly cooked. Finished up with the butter cake which is more like a thick sugar cookie with butter pecan ice cream on top but equally delish.
If you love steak, come here! I was introduced to this steakhouse by my brother and thank goodness he did! I ordered a medium rare steak with mash potatoes and it was delicious. The steak was to my liking and tender. The mash potato was seasoned well and creamy. Also the window overlooking 6th Ave was pretty cool. I would like to return on a special occasion!
DOUBLE FAILURE, NOT DOUBLE EAGLE.Update 10 June: David Gurwicz, Assistant General Manager called to apologize and said he would take care of us next time we went in. I CONTACTED HIM, WANTED TAKE MY MOM AND SISTER. REQUESTS WENT UNANSWERED. TOTALLY IGNORED. SO WE DIDNT GO. Do not visit this establishment. Period.Orginal review: Good food but everything else is a different story. Made a 13 person reservation for a farewell for our beloved boss. All arrived on time but we waited 30 full minutes before being seated. We asked many times and gotten rude response and looks especially from the guy with the ear piece. Why would we reserve a table to arrive on time and be seated 30 minutes later, defeats the purpose of making a reservation. Our table was cramped and squeezed into an awkward position in front of the ESCALATOR. Servers could not go in to serve the people sitting inside by the window, they had to CLIMB over the AC unit. They had to SLIDE hot plates down to the guests and handed us KNIVES to PASS AROUND for ourselves. Service was slow, it was hard to get attention. It only got better towards the end when other customers started to leave. I give 2 stars to the servers efforts to serve an over booked restaurant. If you cant handle this many guests, and having to squeeze a human into every corner, close your reservations. If I knew Id be dining here with bad service, I would have chosen somewhere else for our special occasion. Our food was acceptable.
Some great steaks, at least a level above other top tier steakhouses. The atmosphere was excellent, full of happy people all around. The wine was superb. Even the side dishes were excellent. And of course, the staff was supremely friendly and professional. I really cant recall another steakhouse in which I enjoyed the steak this much
This is my go to lets celebrate and have a good meal spot. Recently went, first time since pandemic, and was nice to see this place as busy as ever and thankfully the food and service didnt disappoint. Since it was late, we opted for bar seats as there was no wait for those seats. Same menu just different seating experience, if in a rush and just care about the food this was a great option!
What an awesome experience. Our waiter was extremely attentive and helpful. The food was so incredible I enjoyed my steak, I savored every bite. We had creamed corn (not from a can), mashed potatoes and the desserts were decadent. They have a butter cake with caramel, ice cream and whipped cream oh my what an amazing dessert. I had the strawberry cheesecake oh this was the lightest most delightful Ive ever experienced. The servers and helpers were so amazing. I slice of heaven. Thank you all look forward to my return.
Food was amazing! Got the wagyu meatballs as an appetizer, I got the crab cake entree with cream spinach as a side (overpowered by bacon flavor unfortunately). My friends shared the tomahawk steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus as a side. We also got mushroom side because they made a mistake. Mushroom side was the best, in my opinion. Drinks were also delicious!! Obviously items are expensive, but to be expected at Del Friscos and in NYC but worth it!!
Its been at least 2 years perhaps more since weve dined here. Came with family to celebrate my birthday 👍🏾🎂.The food and service (Joseph was our EXCEPTIONAL waiter) were absolutely FANTABULOUS!!. We began with the delicious crab cake and the UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS wagyu meatballs...what?!..so nice we had it twice...then came the entrees...I was excited!...we got bone in filet, a ribeye, I got my ribeye oscar style...with lobster mac and cheese, creamed spinach and asparagus. There was NO conversation for at least 5 minutes because the food was SOOOOOO DELICIOUS!...we finally came up for air😂...and had conversation. Joseph, our server was very attentive funny and respectful. We were stuffed but attempted to enjoy their OMG DANGEROUS warm butter cake with butter pecan ice cream on top...are you kidding me??!!!...so much great flavor on a bite HAS to be illegal...I had NO problem breaking the law...do yourself a favor...dont cheat yourself...treat yourself and your family out here...you will NOT regret it!
The BEST dining experience I’ve ever had. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The staff could not have been more friendly. My fiancée and I came here to celebrate our proposal and we could not have made a better decision. Chris, our waiter, was the definition of the perfect waiter. He was knowledgeable about every dish and very friendly, was there anytime we needed him, ASK FOR CHRIS.We decided to go with the ‘Double Eagle Table Testing’. 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 sides, and 2 desserts.(Best way to go for a party of two) We are not big seafood fans so we didn’t order any of those dishes but I’m sure they’re delicious as well. The appetizers were ‘Wagyu Meatballs’ and ‘The Tomato and Burrata Salad’. Fantastic. We both decided to go with steak, ‘The Prime NY Strip’ and Filet Mignon. We liked the Filet Mignon more.Chris gave us a heads up that they cook the steaks a little bit more rare here than other steakhouses. So instead of a medium rare, we ordered medium and that was a good choice. For sides, the ‘Château Mashed Potatoes are a must and the creamed spinach was delicious as well.Dessert we ordered the 6 Layer Lemon Cake(sometimes is not available that’s why it might not be on the menu.) and the ‘Butter Cake” that came with ice cream and whipped cream on top with a caramel sauce surrounding it.Overall, we couldn’t not have asked for a better dinner. We will be going to Del Frisco’s any chance we can get and if we come to this location, we will DEFINITELY be asking for Chris Barber as our waiter. Everybody must dine here.
Great spot to have dinner. Our server was great. Very knowledgeable of the menu. Suggested a great wine to pair with our steaks. Ordered the prime bone-in ribeye cooked medium rare. It was cooked to perfection. Seasoned very well and had a great char crust on it. Served very hot and you could hear and feel the crust as you cut into it with your knife. Ordered the smashed potatoes on the side, which was very filling and delicious. The creamed corn with serano peppers was flavorful and delicious. I would highly recommend it. The steak medallions were delicious and cooked to perfection as well. Perfect amount of food and we left feeling stuffed and satiated. Restaurant was very clean. Service was excellent. They do have a full bar. You definitely pay for quality, and the quality in the food was there. I would recommend this place for a nice date night.
We went in with a gamelan! We started off with the Colorado lamb rack for an appetizer. Epic! Then we ordered a number of appetizers, runs tartare, the oysters shucked and oysters broiled, thick- cut Nueskes bacon au poivre, and Dels jumbo lump crab cake. All AWESOME! Made to perfection! We then went on to the main course. Whew! Two prime tomahawk steaks brought out in intervals with the creamed spinach, Lobster macaroni and cheese, seasonal asparagus, and chateau mashed potatoes. Plates were left empty! Afterwards, we finished it off with their six layered lemon cake and coffees. What a night! Cant wait till next time!
One of the top 5 steakhouses in NYC I’ve been to.We got the ribeye steak with lobster Mac and cheese on the side. The steak was juicy and tender as expected and I enjoyed large chunks of lobster meat in the Mac and cheese. With high ceilings and large glass windows, this place had an open and vibrant vibe which I also liked. If you’re near Central Park looking for a nice steakhouse, highly recommend giving this place a visit.
I have nothing bad to say at all. Our food arrived promptly, service was great, and the food was exquisite. The drinks were great as well. I had the Chilean sea bass and the fish was light and buttery while the crab fried rice was good, my only qualm is that I wanted more of that sauce that was so beautifully drizzled on my plate. The others in my party enjoyed their steaks and lamb which were cooked exactly to their ask.Sides: Please make sure to get the lobster Mac & the mashed potatoes. I loved them both.P.S we miss the old bread 😩. This new one with honey butter is good but not the same.
Del Friscos is top notch. You cannot deny it. The food is superbly prepared and the staff is knowledgeable and attentive. Of course go for the steak! But the other entrees are good too. The sides are well portioned. For dessert definitely get the Butter Cake! Del Friscos is well worth the money.
Perfectly cooked steaks, fantastic wine selection and excellent service. Felt the sides and dessert were hit and miss, lacking attention to detail.Sautéed mushrooms and onions were delicious (though the sauce might have been overpowering to some). Mashed potatoes had fresh herbs that added a nice freshness, but the consistency was rather uneven and it didn’t have quite the richness I expect from steakhouse mashed potatoes. The creamed spinach had too much cream and not enough spinach. And the honey buttered bread was not evenly coated in butter, leaving half the table to bread without any of the butter. Lemon cake had a nice crumb, but the frosting was too hard and overall it needed some garnish or sauce to lend it a bit more character. The butter cake was excellent, and well-accompanied with a rich pecan ice cream and whipped cream.
Food was delicious and nice portions, our waiter Diarmuid was so attentive and offered recommendations as this was our first time eating at Del Friscos and he was spot on. We were celebrating a birthday, and he even helped conspire to bring out a cake for the birthday boy :)We ordered the thick-cut bacon au poivre, A5 wagyu, dry-aged strip (cooked exactly as ordered), mashed potatoes, lobster mac, brussels sprouts, and a butter cake a la mode for dessert. Everything was utterly delicious, and the bread is buttery heaven. We couldnt even finish half of everything, as hungry as we were, the portions were generous. Would recommend Del Friscos to anyone looking for a great steakhouse, Im looking forward to going back to try their seafood options.
My birthday was an absolute nightmare!! To start, the restaurant was noisy and chaotic upon entering. I checked in and stated that I had a reservation, but was told that it had somehow been “cancelled.” My partner and I then proceeded to wait until another table was ready. Once seated, it didn’t take long for us to realize that our waiter was inattentive. Not to mention, he was hardly even wearing his face mask. Among the items we’d ordered was creamy spinach with no eggs (due to an allergy), but the spinach was still presented to us with eggs. Hence, I decided to simply indulge in only the crab cakes and mashed potatoes. Nearly an hour had passed and our waiter had once again gone MIA. At this point, it was clear that I wouldn’t be offered a dessert. Just as I’d thought things couldn’t get any worse, we literally had to flag down another waiter to close out our $181 tab. This was one of my worst experiences at a Del Frisco’s as I’d previously gone to the Texas location countless times. Once I’d gotten home and shared my experience with management, they apologized for the poor experience and told me I’d get a gift card via email within 6-8 weeks. Lucky me. I was in absolute disbelief to open the email and reveal a gift card with a $25 balance on it. The fact that someone could have such a horrific experience and then get a gift card worth just over one tenth of the bill is sickening. Such a shame. This was a birthday I will never forget!!Update: 2 weeks ago they stated that they would reach out to me and I’ve heard nothing …..
Love this steak house, I really have not one complaint. It has great vibes for dinners or dates. The service was impeccable and the food is so delicious and flavourful! I love restaurants with great menu variety! All of our dishes were great, they truly exceed expectations.
Extremely disappointed in the service I received here. Not only were our dirty appetizer plates left on our table for the entirety of our meal (instead of being cleared), but our medium rare tomahawk ribeye may has well have still been alive when served to our table. When youre paying $150+ for a steak, it should come out the way you would like it to be cooked--end of story. And when you send it back for being undercooked, be weary. The manager will take your plate and throw it under a salamander (broiler) until its nice and grey, and then attempt to pass it off as good as new to you 20 minutes later after your sides have gone cold. Best part was that it was still on our original plates, half eaten and all! Speaking from personal experience, you will have a wonderfully frustrating time arguing with management about how unacceptable it is for a high end establishment to attempt to pass off this laziness as an acceptable resolution to a legitimate complaint. After sending the steak back to the kitchen to be REPLACED instead of haphazardly reheated and overcooked, it took another 30 to 45 minutes to receive our food. By the time it reached our table, it had been 2 hours since being seated and my partner and I had to make a decision: be late for our show, or inform our waiter that we did not have to time to eat. We went with the latter. Absolutely abysmal excuse for customer service and conflict resolution. Ive had better at a Dunkin Donuts. Did I mention this was reserved a week in advance as a birthday dinner? To summarize, dont expect to be treated the same here if you appear to be under the age of 40. The staff simply prioritize the more profitable tables. What a joke.
Ambience, service and food was nothing but excellent. Perfect for date night, group dinners or just looking for a great place with delicious food. Wide range of seating and social distance was implemented. Indoor and outdoor dining with a great menu selection. Our waiter went above and beyond, he even found my phone I left in the bathroom...Keep up the excellent service
BEST STEAK EVER!! I am one of those people who likes a well done steak, no pink, but I am forever searching for a steakhouse that can prepare it well but still moist and flavorful and this steakhouse delivered!!! In my many many years I have never had a steak that tasted this good and I can’t wait to return! We ordered the blue cheese wedge salad, heirloom tomato and burrata salad, bone in ribeye and bone in filet. Everything was PHENOMENAL!! The bacon was excellent and the blue cheese was perfectly aged. The burrata flowed upon cutting it. The steaks cut like butter and it was effortless to chew. The flavors bursting with every juicy tender bite! The bread pudding was fantastic and served with pecan ice cream and a Mohawk of cream. Brittany was our server and you would have never known she was new to the restaurant, she was amazing!
Looking for a warm outdoor dining experience well Del Friscos provides you with just that. A heated tent and music. The staff was very accommodating and nice. Although the drinks and food were great it is pricey for the size of the portions. We ordered a seafood tower for 2 which could have been just for 1, it was on the smaller size of the spectrum of most seafood platters. Overall a good experience especially if you want to stay warm.
The food was soooo delicious! We went during restaurant week and I wished they actually gave us the restaurant week menu or asking if we were here for the restaurant week as our reservation actually mentioned that. Also, the waiter could of be slightly patience as we had questions regarding the food! Other than that, great experience!
I went for a business luncheon and was surprised to see how crowded it was at 12 Noon. My guest and I ordered the $35 Business Lunch. Service was acceptable but it was clear that they were understaffed. The salad was fine but the main beef course and sides were heavily salted. I wrote to Customer Service a week ago to note this and have yet to receive a reply one week later.
Last night my husband stop to order food for home. After eat Fish & chips I’m start vomit 🤮 the fish is old and the flavor filing old. Never eat this plate before. And never coming back on this place. Everything is very $$$$$$ e food is trash. After the pandemic everything is bad. The service is bad the food is trash. But everything is just money on the table. Nothing is good.
Me and my family have been dining at this location and the grill for over 15 yrs. I came to the city from Westchester to have dinner with my husband and it was absolutely a waste of time and money. I had to send my steak back 2x the mashed potatoes were breakfast home fries with a horrible salty aftertaste. The lobster mac and cheese was burnt at the top and dry, not a creamy consistency like it usually has. I was told I couldnt have creamy spinach or brussel sprouts without bacon so we couldnt order any of the two. The sweet potato mash has been taken from the menu amongst other things. My whole meal was off the second time my steak was brought back all of my sides were cold and I couldnt enjoy my dinner. I was very unhappy and to end it all I had an upset stomach for 24 hours after consuming the food. I called the location the very next day and explained my issues to a manager. I left her my email address and information I was told someone would email and reach out to me. It has been 2 weeks and I havent heard anything from anyone I even called corporate. After doing some research I found out that our favorite restaurant was sold and Is under new ownership with new staff and chefs. This explains why my experience was so horribleThe steak quality was even different. It is so sad over 15 years of family memories and it ends here. Please dont waste your time or money. Its not the same if you know Del Friscos you know the quality this is very upsetting.
Del Frisco’s is a fine dining establishment. Great steaks! Aged over 30 days. The meat is very juicy and tender. I had an Australian’s Wagu Tomahawk. They said it is for two people. Nope, if you are a meat lover, hangry and have a right wine you can do it by your self...!Don’t forger the appetizer. The right Martini with oysters will do the job.
I had lunch today at Del frisco’s and my experience was amazing. The waiter was pleasant & clear. The food came quickly AND hot. There was a slight issue with my Southern fried chicken sandwich being too salty to my liking and my waiter gave no issue in returning the plate to the kitchen and providing me with an alternative dish quickly and efficiently. I had the filet mignon/mashed potato business lunch dish and it was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked extremely tender and juicy. The mash potatoes was also delicious. The manager also checked in on me about the salty chicken to make sure that i was satisfied with my new dish. My colleagues were also impressed by the amazing customer service!
GET A CRAB CAKE... JUST DO IT! They have to be one of the best restaurants I think Ive ever had the pleasure of dinning at. The service was incredible, the waiters had such a great personality, even waiters that werent our table would tell us about food that was going out to other dinners. There filet is top teir with it being cooked to perfection but still having an amazing and flavorfilled crust to it. Would highly recommend to stop in when ever you get the chance.
The food here is on par with a Logans or Outback steakhouse. You are paying for the ambiance. That being said its a great place for a business meeting or a date night. Prices are reasonable for Manhattan and the staff was phenomenal. When in a restaurant like this you expect cleanliness but the upstairs bathroom left me less than thrilled. However , my dinning experience was good. Ordered the Ribeye and was not disappointed. It came on a, still sizzling, plate which was fantastic and was advised by the waitress not to touch it. I recommend this restaurant !
The Booth we got was awesome The server was Magnificent and the Food Was unbelievably Succulent and flavorful. My lady LOVED the Bread thats a bit sweet and buttery. And She loved her filet mignon I had the Porterhouse and it was mindbending!!We will Definitely be back again!! This place Is the Best weve been to together!
Went for birthday dinner on Saturday, 2/26 and the food took hours to come.cm Crab cakes, not cooked, the birthday persons food came out and uncooked. Manager, profiled us and threatened to call the authorities because we protested about the poor service from the very beginning. As we left, the little caucasian waitress shouted out get out! I wouldnt recommend this location. The Broward County location provides better service.
My family and I have been to Del Friscos a number. We have been here three times this week alone. On our 4th visit they would not let us sit inside because my nephew had on shorts. He had shorts on the first three time. We were told there is a dress code. Really? If there is a dress code please be consistent. My nephews shorts look better that most people in there faded torn Jeans.
Fathers Day was a blast thanks to Nick!Nick was a pleasure to us from the minute we sat down.I love good service and delicious food!Nick made it much more memorable for a special Day for my husband and for my son’s first Fathers Day!It means a lot to us to have good conversation and wonderful service! We will definitely be back to ask for Nick! Not to mention our greeter Jackie and all the staff working tonight.Thank you all!
Omg The service was sooo Great LGBT friendly is an understatement ,They treated my girlfriend and I with so much respect it was our anniversary and they surprised us with a slice of their famous cheese cake . The food was soo tasty and juicy..We had a drink called the V.I.P and omg it was tasty ...will definitely be going back ..Thank you for making our anniversary lunch date special
Been here in the past, so it made sense for me to go back when I was in the area for a show on Friday night. First let me start off with the food, which has fallen off, If your paying over $100 a steak it should come the way you want it cooked, It didnt. Apps were very good but the side dishes were very salty and unenjoyable. The waitress for our table tells us we didnt order enough food (table for 8) for our table when in fact we had leftovers. The Dress code they have is laughable and also has double standards. Because I had a hoodie on I was asked to remove it prior to entering. I informed them at the Front door I only had an A-Shirt on underneath. They informed me that would be fine as long as I keep my jacket on. They would rather have me sit at their dining table with a A-Shirt and jacket then a hoodie? Luckily my friend had an extra t shirt on which he gave me. I was asked to change in the bathroom which I did, As I exited the bathroom I saw two other Caucasian gentlemen at their tables, guess what they were wearing? HOODIES!Needless to say my friends and I will never be dining at Del Friscos again.
I came here a few times recently because I absolutely loved the Del Friscos in Philly and I had to check this place out. The restaurant is beautiful and is well maintained. The service you get here is extraordinary. The waitstaff is attentive and extremely knowledgeable. I didnt have a wait time on my food or drinks. Everything came out rather quickly. The rib eye I had on my first visit was cooked to my liking, but it just wasnt the same as the steak I had in Philly in terms of flavor. The rib eye I had my second visit seemed a bit too fatty and had quite a bit of waste. Dont get me wrong. The steaks were good, they just wasnt as great as the one I had in Philly. My sides of onion rings and brussel sprouts were delicious. Just like Philly, they make a wicked Double Eagle Margarita, that you just cant stop at one. I will definitely come here again in the future and will definitely look to try other Del Friscos in other cities.
How can you go wrong here? Excellent service, kind--I wish I remembered his name because he made the entire experience for us. We are not bigwigs but were treated as such. Phenomenal steaks OF COURSE--had the bone in filet and the 16oz NY prime strip. Worth noting that the bartenders know how to whip up a drink for sure. Crab cake app was devine. Mushroom & pearl onion (there was only one in the saute), devine. We had a table with a view on the 2nd floor. We were there on a Saturday night at 9, and would go again in a heartbeat. On payday ❤
Nice food and service. The waiters are helpful and gave us good suggestions. The wine they suggested us to try was really good. Although its expensive but I enjoyed my dinner with friends there. Every single dish is amazing and i loved them all.Would consider going again next time if i got a chance.
Always the best even during covid-19 times. They have spaced out indoor dining nicely and have a massive outdoor tents. However they need to get heat lamps soon otherwise it will be too cold. But these are things the restaurant cant control and shouldnt be rated on.What they need to be rated on in service and food. And it never fails. Amazing dishes and service. My one compliant would be the creamed spinach was too salty but she thenservice treated me well in other ways.
Crab cake appetizer was fantastic! Thick cut bacon was great too (just had to take the pepper off, unless you like the spice). Bone in Rib eye done Mid-Rare was spot on. My girlfriend had bone on Filet done Mid-Well. Both were delicious. Mashed potatoes left more to be desired, but the creamed spinach is definitely worth sharing. I would highly recommend and will absolutely be back myself. Aside from the fight that broke out next to our table, it was a great dinner.
It was my birthday 🎂. My kids and I enjoyed our meal. The waiter was very pleasant, courteous, tentative. He kept checking in on us to make sure that everything was going well. He also gave me a free bday cake with a lit candle and also my daughter even though it wasnt her birthday. He also gave us his business card, which my kids and I are definitely planning on going back and have him as our waiter. I must also commend the water 💧 waiter he kept refreshing and filling our glass.
My wife brought us here for my birthday. What an outstanding experience. I’ve been to dozens of steakhouses throughout the US and parts of Europe. Del Frisco’s is in the top percentile. Ambiance is upscale, staff is amongst the most professional and food is to die for. Must recommend!
We were there on Fathers Day. Service was enthusiast and average. The steaks are really good. The Wagyu Tomahawk Chop was exceptional. The dessert portions were huge but lack presentation. We spent 3 hours there and were not rushed. Its a pricey restaurant. Good but not great.
I came today for the first time. I loved it. the steak was amazing with flavor and tasty. the macaroni with lobster and cheese good with flavor it was perfect for me. I couldnt even finish my plate I got so full. are server was salvo he was a amazing server. yes I say amazing because he vibed with us. made us feel very welcome. he even interacted with my husband and my husband hardly even talks he is very shy and they even talked about a game. he explained the menu very well. when ever we needed him he was a step away. always came to check up on us and if we needed anything else. beautiful restaurant and very classy. I will come back here next time and I will definitely ask for salvo.
I had expectations before stepping foot in this place and I wasnt disappointed with the food nor service. The food was yum and our waitress was just amazing. She knew the menu well and we took some of her recommendations and we sure werent disappointed. I knew I wanted to try the lobster mac n cheese cause Id read so much about it. Glad I did. The bread for the table, probably the best of any restaurant Ive had - its sooo good! Had the thick cut bacon for appetizer, its one of a kind. Everything here was really good!
We came on a busy Saturday night and were able to be seated on the patio. Tried shrimp cocktails, bacon, and 2 steaks: the wagyu tomahawk and a steak special of trios topped with different sauces. The wagyu tomahawk didn’t have the marble texture of the wagyu I’m used to, but was nonetheless a good tomahawk. Shrimps were fresh. Bacon needed to be fattier for my liking, and i prefer when they’re not covered in cracked pepper/spices - but it’s personal taste. cheesecake was very solid! But was disappointed at their lemon layered cake which is supposed to be their signature dessert - it was dry, if they upped the lemon curd to cake ratio it would have been much better!
Best steak house weve been to. We have visit Peter Luger and this place was way better. Great service. Large location. Service was spectacular. Bartender made great drinks and we enjoyed every part of it. All the food came out very quickly. Favorite appetizer we tried was the carpaccio. DELICIOUS. The steak was cooked to perfection. We had the prime rib and felt we made a great choice with it. Creamy spinach was yummy and lobster Mac was as well. Closed out the meal with a shot of sambuca and walked out with hopes to make it back to NY again to have dinner here again
This restaurant is located in a very premium location. Its quite full at this restaurant during dinner. They have a good collection of wines for you to enjoy with steaks. Pretty good steaks but their taste was a bit bland. Had better at other steakhouses in New York with the same price range.
I came here for restaurant week. I got the lobster bisque, 6oz filet mignon and the strawberry cheesecake. It was a great deal for $29. Lobster bisque was 2/5 for me. I did not like the soup, but It did have 3 chunks of lobster in it. The filet mignon was okay in comparison to other steaks I have had. They never asked me how I wanted my steak until my food came out. The waitress never came back. I wanted it medium rare. I was pretty hungry, so I just took it. The mash was nothing special. It was a 3.5/5. For dessert, the strawberry cheesecake was big. However, it tasted like a solid stick of cream cheese. I know cream cheese is the main ingredient, but it was too much for me. It was a 2.5/5. The waitress was extremely friendly, however I think she was busy. The customers behind me were getting a little frustrated as well when their appetizers never came out. Water was never refilled, they never asked how I wanted my steak, another waitress had to ask me what I ordered and I had to pack my own food. Again, I think they were very busy. Comparing the service to other steak houses, I would give them 3.5/5. They were very nice though. Overall, my experience was okay.
Just left and this place is not as good as I remembered.....Appetizer....bacon - coldMain Course...45 dry Aged Strip....Dry & Tough.Service....good but not great, wanted a glass of wine with my main but no one came to check on steak until I was half done with it.Most likely wont be back...hopefully its just a covid thing.
I wish I could give this place more stars. Ill start with this, the bone-in, Wagyu NY Strip is still to this day the best steak I have ever had in my life; and I eat steak about 3 times a week! It was perfectly, and I really do mean perfectly, cooked, seasoned and seared to perfection so that every bite was an explosion of flavor and contrast of texture from the tender center to the crusty exterior. This steak was better than any Ive had at Peter Lugers, Bowery Meat Company, etc. But what really made this place special was all of the extras. From one of the best crab-cakes Ive had anywhere, to delicious sides that compliment the meat, to an incredibly original vodka drink which is essentially vodka that sits with fresh imported Hawaiian pineapple for 2 weeks before serving, Del Friscos Double Eagle was a completely wonderful high-end dining experience! The location being about 100 ft. from Radio City didnt hurt easy. Beautiful views from the street level windows especially during the Christmas season. If you havent gone, go! There is no comparison in the city!
Sapphire bramble drink was great (but after drinking down a bit, there was glue residue from the glasss label, likely from when it was brand new--too much glue residue that it should have been noticed). Charred octopus appetizer was really good. Server came over half way through our appetizer and started cutting it into smaller pieces for the two of us, but he cut the pieces too chunky and then took the knife without asking. 45 day dry aged NY strip was expensive but tasted perfect, no butter in cooking, just flavor. Medium was cooked perfectly but my wifes filet wasnt cooked medium, but it was still good. A few other people nearby returned their steaks, so maybe it was the cook that night? Overall, 5* for me because the taste of everything, although there were enough small problems that detracted from a perfect experience youd expect from a high end place.
I had my 21st birthday celebration at Del friscos a few years ago. My family surprised with a private room which was next to a wine cellar . The menu was personalized with my name on it. Everything on the menu is delicious and fresh . The staff is amazing, and they are very knowledgeable of the menu . All of my needs were accommodated as soon as possible . The waiters were constantly asking if I needed anything , or if I was satisfied with my meal . The signature drink was pineapples in vodka, it was delicious. There were a variety of appetizers which everyone loved. The steak was cooked to perfection . The dessert was the highlight of the night . We were given a choice between cheesecake and bread pudding . Lets just say I had two desserts. This was absolutely the best birthday celebration
Simple food thats extremely well executed. The cocktails are excellent, its hard to dislike the food, and the service is great. However there isnt anything exceptionally creative. Not to a fault though, because DelFriscos knows what it is and does it well. Its hard to say that this is a MUST TRY, but its great if you want a steakhouse experience.
Delicious! I highly recommend it, and I dont eat red meat! I had the chicken piccata and Dels salad for lunch. Both excellent. Drinks were good too. See list of dessert drinks attached - I wonder what the $1400 shot is? Easy location to walk to from Rockefeller Center...probably not the easiest drop off via car though. Restaurant is beautiful inside. The only issue I would note is the bathroom situation. As far as I know, there are bathrooms only upstairs and the womens restroom only had 2 stalls.
I have to say out of all the steak houses I have been to this one takes the cake, and then some! I noticed Del Friscos when I was at Walt Whitman mall. They are building one were the (i)legal seafood used to be. So upon go ogling the place, at this time I never heard of them. I see the double eagle on 6th Ave with almost 5 stars and on the border of 1700 reviews. To top it off a couple of friends, Dava, & Marianne gave this location great reviews. So here we are Del Friscos double eagle steakhouse. The inside has the wow factor! There are three floors, the main floor, the second floor which has a nice view, and then there is the lower level. We sat on the main floor. By the way then trance is off of 49th just in case. They also have outside seating, which you might get attacked by the wildlife, me, Id rather my wildlife on a plate LoL! So after being seated in a nice comfy booth, we were greeted by our friendly and helpful server Sarah. For an appetizer she highly recommend the crab cakes, how can you go wrong right? As far as the meals, we again asked for recommendations, and what her favorites were. She raved over the bone-in filet which starts @ 16oz, and goes up, her next favorite was the lobster tails. They start out huge! 16oz, and they are $6 per pound. And finally a restaurant that serves pure melted butter! What really grinds my gears is all these other restaurants that serve butter mixed with oil?! Since when did that become good?! Ok enough about that LoL. As far as sides, they are served family size. We were told to go with the mushrooms with the pearl onions, and the cauliflower and brie au gratin. As soon as the crab cake came I knew this was THE one. Yes like Neo in the matrix. Crab, glorious sweet, yummy crab. If you do not get this you are crazy! There are only TRACES of breading, it is ALL crab! Soooo good!As we are anticipating our main meals the waitress brings us butter for the lobster in these cute silver dishes being warmed by candle. Then, the moment of truth, the entrées arrive! The steak arrived looking great, and cooked perfectly. As far as the lobster tail, they actually carve it out of the shell for you! The Lobster was awesome! Fresh and tender. Not like most places that over or under cook it. And as for the sides, OMG both to die for! The mushrooms had a nice sweet flavor thanks to the pearl onions. The cauliflower & brie au gratin was great and not too over powering with cheese, it also had a nice hint of truffle oil!So you would think we would be full, but not when it comes to dessert! Our waitress Sarah had not been wrong about ANYTHING when it came to what she liked. So we rolled the dice again as if we were in Vegas again! She recommends a lemon layer cake. Im like, really?! The portion is almost the size of a normal cake, so definitely share. Again, she nailed this one out of the park!Needless to say I will be back sooner then later, and yes we will be asking for Sarah as well. We had such a great experience we even spoke to the manager Orlando, who was just as pleasant!
Good food. A tad overrated; definitely overpriced. The mashed potatoes are insanely good, but the rest of the food was just okay. I cannot recommend the seared tuna. Portions are large. There is an extensive wine BOOK (not just a list) , but try the pomegranate martini. You wont be sorry.Very solicitous staff. Great service!
To date one of my favorite places not only in NYC but the country to dine in.The location is great, the restaurant is elegant, spacious & exquisitely decorated. The Staff while dining is quite helpful and accommodating. And the food is exceptional. The pricing is moderate to high and well worth it. Great place to bring a date, celebrate an occasion, bring large groups etc.
The service is impecable with meticulous attention to detail. The food is outstanding with flavor bursting in every bite. For a side order we had the must-have chateau potatoes and lobster macaroni & cheese. For an entree we had a well presented plate of crab cakes that were plump, sweet and very flavorful with a delightful Cajun lobster sauce. We also had the filet medallions with chateau potatoes, thin green beans & red wine demi-glace seasoned with pepper made for a perfect dish. This is one of our top choice restaurants that is a must visit in NYC.A perfect five star for service, ambience and food.
The epitome of fine dining in nyc! If you want an impressive place for a special occasion THIS IS IT! The moment we were greeted at the door we were congratulated on our anniversary and was given a card which was such a thoughtful gesture. Our waitress Sarah was so sweet and attentive she made great suggestions for dinner and even brought us a dessert for our celebration. The long boned wagyu steak was like butter so delicious and tender and paired perfectly with the lobster Mac and cheese. We had to leave in a rush because we had to catch our broadway show so we didn’t get to genuinely indulge in our amazing dessert. The next day after a disappointing dinner at bar sixty five we came here just to reorder the dessert from the previous day and it was absolutely divine. Our server was Natalia who was equally sweet and attentive. Definitely our favorite place in New York. If there were ten stars I would give them that rating AMAZING!
Had a wonderful lunch at Del FriscoI recommended to reserve table online first via opentable, it will be very convenient and you don’t need to que.We ordered1. 45-day aged prime ribeye, the meat was perfectly cooked (we ordered medium), flavourful and juicy2. Del’s Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with cajun-lobster cream source: we ordered thus for share after reading all good review about it. I confirmed that the taste is really good, all are real crab meat3. Butter cake with butter pecan ice cream: I like it as it is crispy outside but soft inside, it taste better when combining with ice cream
Had a wonderful lunch for my birthday during restaurant week . Great service and food. The aged ribeye was amazing. Loved the mashed potatoes and the cheesecake to top it off. If you like margaritas you must try the grapefruit habanero margarita! I even got to try their famous lemon cake courtesy of our server for my birthday.
Youll have an excellent meal if you go to Del Friscos (Del Friscos Double Eagle Steakhouse, I cant speak for Del Friscos Grille - never been to the latter) - no question about it. We go here every year for a friends birthday, and six years in, its never once disappointed. Given its location (near Rockefeller Center; not too far from Times Square), its a bit magnet for tourists - but its never been an issue. If you go the route of ordering a streak, order whatever cut you fancy - they will deliver an A+ experience and taste across the board. And with regards to sides - again, you cant miss; order whatever strikes your eye. On the appetizer side, the Crab Cake is a must order - so if you enjoy crab cake, no question you must try Del Friscos. Other than the food, the service and ambiance are excellent - its not an accident that this place has been around and thriving for a while.
We felt very well taken care of here. The service was impeccable, Beth in particular was great. The food was really good. We had the filet mignon and the Valentines Day special, which included three cuts of steak, each with a different topping; gorgonzola, crab and asparagus, and a scallop with jam. The gorgonzola was the best, but thats not to diminish the taste of the other two. This was a great experience and we will absolutely be heading back here.
Definately a must try when in New York City. The atmosphere is relaxed and charm, the high roof makes the place feel very spacious and quiet, definately an inviting place to spend a nice evening. The food is what you would expect from other Del Frisco’s, high quality ingredients, their raw bar shelfish was great along with their mains, I would recommend the Wagyu Tomahawk.Their service is friendly, fast and helpful. Will be back.
This restaurant is overrated. It was extremely crowded at lunch and our server definitely seemed overwhelmed to the point where he was rude at times. We waited over an hour for our food. My steak was overcooked and the fries were dry. I dont recommend this restaurant during the summer time when it is crowded. However, I have returned during the fall and the food and service were excellent.
Came for a friends birthday tried the dry age double eagle and their tbone. Gives you pretty much every cut when you order these two pieces. The apps was the shellfish plateau, tuna tartar, bacon, and a crab cake. We had sides too but I forgot to take a picture. My favorite is the mushrooms. We had lobster Mac, and cream spinich. Its a nice experience servers are great. Good food good company end of the day. Although the 4 of us went thru a 700 dollar bill with all the ordering. Be mindful this place has a light dress code also.
Really great place to go for delicious and fancy food in NYC. Expensive! Most dishes cost $100 apiece, but you will get your food worth of every penny. Service was great, the server even offered us two butter cake and ice cream desserts free of charge. And so was the ambience, and you can keep up with the news from the news banner rolling on the Fox news building.
Food was satisfactory over all. Nothing amazing but considering what youre paying, the food should all taste amazing. We had the sides of creamed spinach, lobster Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes with a pecan encrusting on top. The lobster Mac and cheese was just okay. Nothing special. The creamed spinach was good but Ive had better other places. Thought it would be better. The whipped sweet potatoes were the gem and Im not even really fond of sweet potatoes. The pecan encrusting was a fine touch. For the starters, we got the tuna tartare and crab cake. Crab cake was truly crab cake and not the deep fried version you would get at lower prices fares. Crab cake was good but as you can see, its not much. The tuna tartare was pretty good as well. It has avacado on the bottom as well. Im a tuna tartare fan and this fits the bill. Both were about 20-25 bucks each so check the pics and you can kinda see what I mean by bang for your buck here. Tasty but not alot, it truly a appetizer. Lol.For the main, I got a 10oz. Filet mignon with lobster on top and truffles. I got it cooked medium rare. Here the medium rare is closer to rare and not medium which the waitress told me as well. The steak was tasty with he addition. I definitely give it a thumbs up. My date had the salmon (yea, shes that one that comes to a steak house and gets seafood.) the salmon was tasty and had a nice sauce to accompany it. It sat on a bed of potatoes as well. The entrees get an enthusiastic thumbs up.The service was overall good and fit the vibe. Everyone was really accommodating. The service from the waitress took a minute to get to that level though. I think if you come in and the waitress feels like you might be kind of cheap, then her service will lag. We ordered alot of food so she saw we had money to spend so after we began ordering or main course, her chipperness (if thats a word) and overall attitude improved. Kinda sucks but her support was stellar throughout.Nice restaurant where the heavy hitters come to dine no question. Kendrick Lamar was apparently about to come sit in a section next to us but he ended up not coming. Darn!So overall, the one star deduction was from the waitress and the taste of some of the dishes wasnt outstanding. More so the waitress. Hopefully that was just our waitress and an isolated incident and other waiters/waitresses treat you exceptionally from the outset. Otherwise this place can definitely get lost in the high priced dining options which are plentiful in NYC.
All I can say is: BEST.MEAL.EVER!!!! I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend since he got us a nice hotel. I treated us to Del Frisco’s and it was the most amazing meal I’ve ever eaten! First of all, the service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable on the menu and drinks and gave great recommendations. To start, we had a jumbo lump crab cake, which was PHENOMENAL. My boyfriend had a ribeye and I selected the filet mignon (both were medium rare.) As soon as we cut into our steaks, it was like butter: so tender , juicy with a crisp layer on top and a flavorful, thick, beautiful steak on the inside. I never ate a steak cooked to perfection like this one. Our A La Carte sides were: creamed spinach, lobster Mac & cheese and French fries. DELICIOUSLY prepared! My favorite side was the creamed spinach. It was VERY creamy with aged sharp cheddar, bacon, egg and mushrooms. My boyfriend doesn’t even like spinach and agreed that was his favorite side. The Mac was creamy and tasty and the French fries were really crispy yet soft and great. Lastly, we indulged in a cheesecake with strawberries on top. If I could rate this beautiful restaurant 10 stars, I would. Definitely the BEST fine dining experience I’ve had. Try this place out if you haven’t already.
Good food, great ambiance and excellent service. Was here with my boss and colleague for lunch. The place was getting busy by noon and was packed by half past.My boss ordered a medium rare steak (prime strip) and I ordered a boring Chicken Salad (sigh), which was very delicious by the way! My colleague ordered a steak salad, which looked pretty delicious. It cost us $149 including gratuity at this place, so yes, its definitely expensive!
The staff, food and ambiance could not have been better. We were visiting the city and I was celebrating my birthday. All the staff acknowledged my day both verbally, with a hand signed card, and with a special dessert. My birthday felt very special! Our waitress was phenomenal and such a sweetheart! We will return!
Excellent food and huge portions. I dont think you will go wrong with the food. The only downside is that the restaurant is incredibly crowded. The place was jam packed with tables, but somehow the kitchen is still able to make great food. Service was good. This is a special occasion place. Food is super expensive. I think it was close to 400 for two people.
Del Friscos is just a good place. You will always have really good food, excellent service and great ambiance. Of course you should always get the signature bone in ribeye. Juicy well prepared steak. In fact, dont even bother getting steak other than a qualified steakhouse. There are always so many people there. We were surprised they could accommodate 5 people in such short notice. We also got a Hess Cabernet which is excellent. It is good and of excellent value. Also, with our steak, we got the asparagus, creamed spinach, and mushrooms...all were good. There is nothing else better to say about this place. It is always good.
Absolutely wonderful, the service was amazing and so accommodating (my friend and I had wanted to share a steak but have 2 cooked differently - one medium, one well done, and the answer was No Problem!). Food was amazing as well! Worth every penny, Cant wait for our next visit!
I have to be honest, is it good, yes! Is it amazing no! There are definetly better steak houses, all 4 people I went with said the same. The appetizers were very good, shrimp coctail was delicious, crab was delicious, bacon was a bit fat but delicious, oysters could definetly be better. The steak was simply good, not amazing but good. Service could be a bit faster. I understand that the place is packed and I loved how many times they changed our plates and cleaned the table but on a $1k bill I would like to see food come. Out faster and waitress to smile and be friendlier. At 1 point one of the managers noticed that we had no food or even water for quite some time and personally brought a bottle of water to the table. This is not acceptable for a 5 person $1k bill, other steakhouses of this caliber would have easily received 5 stars.
I visited this steakhouse with my cousin Saturday night on a recommendation of a friend. Boy was he spot on. The steaks were AMAZING. Perfectly cooked. This restaurant even makes cauliflower taste good. The team rummaged through the wine cellar to find my wine pick, as it wasnt readily available and even though I waited I got what I chose rather than a substitute (they kept me posted as they looked for it). Our server, Randy K, MADE OUR NIGHT. His enthusiasm and product knowledge really showed and it made for a great restaurant experience. You get what you pay for, folks. Will go again next time I am in NYC.
To celebrate our 10 year anniversary we decided to treat ourselves. From the second we walked in untill the second we left it was AMAZING.The entire staff went above and beyond to make our celebration special. Starting with a happy anniversary card signed by all!We had a little hiccup with our food, didnt even complain because it was such a tiny piece of steak that just wasnt right. We just mentioned it when asked how everything was. Our server Chad took it upon himself to notify the manager Tim about it. Tim came over and apologized, thanked us for celebrating with them and asked how he could make it right. We were so blown away when new steak came out courtesy of Tim and Chad. Not to mention the desserts! It was by far the best meal we have ever had surrounded by the best hospitality we have ever had.Thank you Chad and Tim! You and your staff made our anniversary so so so special.
Paid Del Frisco’s a visit on New Year’s Day for lunch with a table of 10. I have to commend the service as our server was very attentive throughout our meal. The portions were generous. For appetizers, we ordered the Cheesesteak Egg roles and the Calamari, both which tasted great and were warm when they arrived. For my main entree, I enjoyed the Kale and Brussel Sprouts salad, which had almonds, dried cranberries, manchengo cheese and a mustard vinaigrette. The salad was very filling and the dressing was light, not as heavy as it sounds. I would recommend asking for the cheese on the side as the salad is doused in cheese when it arrives. Others at my table ordered the Caesar Salad, the Tuna Salad, and the Scallops, all of which they enjoyed. The atmosphere of the restaurant was enjoyable. All the tables were taken, but it didn’t seem crowded like a restaurant right in the heart of Rockefeller Center would seem. The restaurant also wasn’t too loud and you can enjoy the conversation across your table.
I’ve been here several times now and it’s always special. They have one of the best steaks in NYC. Their crab cakes are also to die for. Make sure you make reservations and I would recommend requesting for the table closer to the windows since they have much better view. They have a pretty extensive menu and delicious to say the least. Perfect to have dinner after watching a broadway show or vice versa. Be warned though, you’ll get spoiled after.
We had a lovely dinner! The food was incredible and the service was top notch. Our server, Daniel, was friendly and made wonderful suggestions for food and dessert. The sommelier gave us wonderful pairing suggestions and we enjoyed the wine he suggested. The atmosphere was comfortable and elegant. We will come again the next time we visit New York.
Pretty impressive place with a great location in mid-town. Mid-town prices come with that! Service and drinks (cocktails and wine) were great food was OK (brussel sprouts were kinda salty and steaks were OK). Couldnt believe how big and busy the restaurant was. Always appreciate an Open Table reservation.
Definitely one of the best steakhouse in New York with excellent service. My wife and I were here for anniversary. The restaurant prepare the card for us and even the complimentary dessert at the end for us. The prime rib is cooked perfectly and taste better than other high end steak house. The premeal bread is another food that impressed me. Great place.
Went here years ago and returned back recently for a ribeye. The cut was full of gristle and was very chewy, I had to cut most of the cut to get to any good pieces which were few and far between. Steak had no char and was not flavorful. I order my steak medium rare but was disappointed about the quality of the meat. They also used to have really good creamed spinach but they put flour in it as a thickener so now I can’t eat it anymore. I hope they are able to return back to better quality.
A perfect place for special occassions or if you ever feel like treating your stomach to some scrumptious food, Ive frequented this Del Friscos location twice and both times the food has been a homerun! The staff is always very friendly and corteous and they take the time to explain any questions you might have about a dish or beverage. I highly suggest trying the Foie Gras and Tuna Tartare or my personal favorite the A5 Wagyu (can be considered a little pricey to some but what do you expect? Its melt in your mouth Wagyu Beef!). For the Main course I will always suggest going with any of their steaks (it is a steakhouse afterall) and for dessert you cant go wrong with the Lemon Cake or the Chocolate Lava Cake!
Retroactive to April 2017:First off, loved the vibe. High ceilings and tall windows created a spacious environment in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. I was pleasantly surprised in the lack of touristy feel. Considering the name and location, it felt as if it was all local New Yorkers in the building that night.Drink: Old Fashioned made at the bar was stellarFood: Caesar Salad was good not great. Would recommend getting with a big group but if in a small party, opt for the Lobster Mac (didnt have but hear legendary things about it.Tuna Tartare was awesome, one of the better Ive had. Beautiful presentation, flavors on point, ehh on the portion sizeBone-In Ribeye was cooked perfectly to medium rare. This particular piece was a slightly too fatty for my liking, but thats the only knock. Filet was good too; perfectly cooked to med rare but a bit too peppery.Waiter brought us a huge piece of chocolate cake on the house. Much appreciated. Not the best steak Ive had in New York, but a good overall experience nonetheless. I think I expected a bit more, hence the 3 stars.
The pandemic has affected all restaurants, Del Frisco included. Long gone are the days of a ritzy cosmopolitan crowd at this spot all vying for the elusive 8pm dinner reservation. Instead my reservation was made with ease, i even changed my time slot a few times with no issue. When we arrived we were offered prime seating, so awesome start. We went with our favs the crab cake - which was underwhelming and did not illicit the OMG this is soooo amazing facial gesture it usually does. The prosecco was excellent and came in a generous portion. While we sipped on our prosecco we happened to notice that we were literally surrounded by tourists. No stock broker bros, or sex in the city crowd. Lots of shopping bags crowding the isles and way too many selfies being taken. Thankfully our double eagle steak arrived in just enough time to refocus our attention on the meal. At this point I was ready to count out Del Friscos as a pandemic victim, but this steak house was not willing to go down quietly. One bite of that viciously juicy & perfectly medium rare porterhouse steak and i rediscovered why oh why did I end up taking the blue pill.Steak & persecco saved the day, crab cakes not so much
We had reservations, but we were running late. All the staff from the call on the phone to the hostess to our waitress were more accommodating and helpful than any I’ve ever experienced. We ran into an issue with our Broadway show tickets, and our waitress even helped us resolve that. We can’t say enough good things about the extraordinary staff at this restaurant. They went above and beyond to make our experience excellent.
I took my wife to NYC to see Hamilton along with Bro in Law n Spouse to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. We went to Del Friscos prior to show. The restaurant is nice with great ambiance. The food and service not so much. I ordered a bone in ribeye cooked to 135 degrees, the waiter insisted on me giving him a temperature: ie medium, well, rare etc. (135 is a temperature) so I requested medium against my better judgment. My BiL requested medium well. As a Culinarian of 30 plus years (restaurant owner, kitchen mgr, Director of Foodservice) I know what I am ordering. If you take my steak off at 135, by the time it rests and is delivered on the too hot to touch plate, it will be perfect 140 medium....Well my steak came out med rare and my BiL came well done. We informed waiter more steaks were brought out. In the mean time we had shareable sides with no plates to eat. Next steak was medium well and had a chunk torn out, my BiLs was half medium/ half welldone. My BiL asked for the GM however a middle mgr came. We only paid for wives meals and sides. More importantly our anniversaries was ruined by our dining experience. In the future, I will stick to Ruth Chris!
Bae took me here for my birthday and they really showed off. It was my first time at this location and I was thoroughly impressed at the service, the food and the overall attention I received throughout the course of dinner and them bringing me a personalized desert in commemoration of my special day.
What an amazing experience ! Went to go celebrate my anniversary and we got the cake for free :) the ambiance is nice and the food was delicious !! Ever had food where you just keep rolling your eyes well yeah this spot had me rolling my damn eyes, lol. Our waiter Mikel was super sweet as well and gave his recommendations ( much appreciated). Think we might be coming here every year actually. Definitely recommend this place to everyone :))
My boyfriend surprised me after the Christmas spectacular with lunch at Del Frisco!!! Hands down our favorite steakhouse! Kaz our server was amazing! So attentive, knowledgeable on menu, service was impeccable! Definitely recommend anyone to dine here! Thank you all for such a memorable time!
One of, if not the best steak I’ve ever eaten in my life. Everything was perfect. The crabcake starter was so fresh! The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. Jessica thank you so much for looking after us and helping us choose. Will be returning when I’m next in NYC!
Absolutely delicious steak!!! So going back, the waiter was excellent and attentive, the manager was also professional and courteous and apologized because our order was delayed, but me and husband did not mind, we enjoyed our drinks and celebrating our anniversary. We left with courtesy of the house free dessert!!!!
I absolutely love Del Frisco!! We made reservations and came here for my moms birthday. We showed up a few minutes tardy but it wasnt an issue at all. As soon as we got there, they sat us down promptly. The view you get of 6th ave is marvelous and the environment is very lavish. We ordered margaritas and they tasted delicious. My mom and aunt ordered salmon and they raved about it. I ordered lamb chops and they were to die for. We also got the seafood mac and I forgot the name of the creamy potatoes but it was all tasty. They gave my mom a complimentary piece of lemon cake and even that was delicious. I cant wait to return!
Sat at the bar as I was traveling for work, it was a Tuesday at 6:30p and I had no issues finding a spot. Service was excellent, I got the Old fashioned 46 (two of them) and the burger with fries which was excellent. Bar was busy and service was attentive, will be back!
Delicious food and an even better experience! Our server was fantastic. We enjoyed everything. The only complaint I have, and its more of an opinion....the Wagyu was decent, but Ive had better. I wasnt a fan of it being sliced by the chef. The portion is only a few ounces, so by the time it reached my table and was ready to be eaten, it wasnt very warm. Every restaurant Ive ordered Waygu from has always served it as 1 piece.Regardless, everything was amazing and we will definitely be back!
Truly a fine dining experience. We came for dinner for my boyfriends birthday right before NYE and the place was buzzing with people yet, our party of 10 was given such personalized attention you would think we were the only ones there. The servers made excellent recommendations on cocktails, wine and food. The VIP cocktail is as good as they describe it however it was a bit too sweet for my taste right before a meal, I would order this with dessert next time I come in. The bacon starter is tender, juicy and has just a bit of spice to it. The crab legs were huge! The sauces that complimented them were light and zesty. The main attraction, the steaks, were all well prepared, well seasoned and the portions were just right. The servers were attentive and managers also came to check on our table seeing if we needed anything else throughout the evening. Del Frisco’s is a must Visit in NYC
Ive been here before but this time my experience was a little disappointing. The food was awesome so let me day that right of the bat. There was just something lacking in the attention to details department. Little things like everyone not having share plates for the staters, having to walk to the bar to get someone to refill our water glasses and the coat check losing ear muffs out of my coat pocket. The waiter seemed a little nervous out maybe the word is tentative in his actions. I usually like @DelFriscos and maybe this was an offnight. The people just send to lack the polish and urgency of a good dining experience.Dessert was truly amazing and as you can tell in the pictures, we did a great job of polishing it off.Torward the very end of dinner a man walked over without saying who he was and asked how dinner was.. dude let me give you just as little advice.. walk to your clients tables.. take a deep breath. Introduce yourself and tell us your job next time. Take a moment to make some eye contact. Have a conversation with the people. We dont bite.

2022-02-08Food and service were top notch. The best part of our dinner was this little bread that came out in a crock pot looking thing with butter-slathered all over it. The steak was cooked perfect and this might be the best cream spinach Ive ever had in my life. Youre definitely going to want to make a reservation and this is not a quiet restaurant so be prepared for noise .The butter cake was worth the 7000 calories.

2022-04-16This is a must for date-night, a night on the town, or a celebratory occasion. My boyfriend and I went for my 28th birthday and it was PERFECT.Service was lovely. We had reservations and was seated within 5min. The location is great, we could walk from our hotel, it’s like 3-5min from Time Square. The food was so flavorful and everything was cook perfectly, and the drinks were strong — I have no complaints. I ordered the filet medallions, a drink, and they bring complimentary bread (which has this creamy butter/honey glaze). Together our ticket was like $117 (2 entrees & 2 drinks). The only thing that somewhat threw me off was the dress code. Online it gives the impression people should be dressed up (and we were), but other people were wear jerseys, sneakers, etc.I will definitely be back though. The food and environment are top notch.

2022-04-28Came here with a group of 4 and it was a great night with only a couple of hiccups. To start, I will say the hostesses were less than welcoming and acted like they barely had time for you, not the best start. However, drinks were great at the bar while we waited. Dinner was wonderful, we had the broiled oysters which were nice (not amazing), but the Tuna Tartar was fantastic. The thick cut bacon was one giant piece and was delicious, great staple of any steakhouse. For entrees, a couple people got the 8 Oz filet which they apparently loved. I shared a Tomahawk steak with another, which was a good portion for 2, not too much food (although its hard to be too much steak). Apparently getting the special with the 2 small sides is not actually a deal and was told to get the regular order which is the same size steak. Sides we got the corn, mashed potatoes, lobster Mac n cheese, all great. I definitely recommend this place, if you can afford it/ have an expense card.

2022-02-09A beautiful evening to celebrate my birthday. Our server, Brian, was amazing!! The lobster bisque was so creamy, delicious, and well seasoned. My entire party realized all of us needed the 16oz ribeye. It was so tender and delicious!! Im still thinking about it!! I had such an amazing time!! Thanks!

2022-05-04What more could I say on top of what’s already been said and what’s already known? All I want to add is that no matter how popular this place is, I think it’s still worth it. The staff, as frantically busy as they were, did their best still to give us their attention and care. Food was phenomenal, experience was top notch.

2022-03-30We visited Del Friscos for my sisters birthday. While I have been a few times as this is my sons favorite restaurant the food was exceptional. I dont have pictures of all our entrees because once they were placed on the table we were devouring our food. I would definitely recommend this restaurant 👍🏽

2022-02-25This place is DIVINE!The decor is rustic yet modern & soo spacious. Has an old-school mobster feel to it with the low lit lights. Our waiter was wonderful, he explained everything, made great recommendations, knew the food and was attentive. I love how the waiters here bring ur food to your an share our portions for u. I love, love, love this!My food was well done. I can see that each dish is made is high quality ingredients, is flavorful & comes in big portions. I’m so addicted.

2021-12-21It was quite the experience to dine here with my co workers and I. The staff and waiter we had were very friendly and explained everything on the menu clearly with recommendations on what to eat. The food that we ordered tasted far beyond what any of us expected to get. Overall this is a fine place to eat at if you have the budget for it, the food is well worth the price but probably not a place youll be able to eat at everyday but definitely a place to feast at for a special occasion. I would certainly eat here again the next opportunity I can manage

2021-12-15The check in experience was quick and painless, but it was busy when we went, so the waiting area got really crowded. We told our server that we were trying to make a show, and he was extremely accommodating. He was quick to take our order and was attentive to serving us efficiently without feeling rushed. The food itself was pretty good. The highlight was the dessert (butter cake and strawberry cheesecake) though we couldnt finish ours from being so full from our meal. We had the wagyu meatballs, the bacon, the A5 Wagyu steak with creamed spinach and creamed corn. Everything was A/A+ except the bacon which I would give a B.

2022-02-04Found this place by chance and so happy I did! This was by far one of the best steaks I’ve had in my life, especially with addition of truffle sauce they have. Cocktails were awesome too. I can’t wait to get back here again on my next visit to NY.
