Ive had this internet service my family first moved to the area, and originally things worked just fine, it was a steady and stable connection. However over the past two or so years things have gone downhill massively. My connection has become increasingly unstable, supposedly due to the bandwidth being exceeded by the occasional YouTube video or a game of overwatch. The tech support at the 24/7 number and the main office communicate poorly with each other leading to misunderstandings and a lack of anything being accomplished. Whats worst of all is that they use their advertized speed as a shield, saying that connection speeds are best effort if ones on copper lines, using this as an excuse for why its definitely not the equipment thats the issue.furthermore, While the employees at the 24/7 line do try to be helpful, they lack the power to do anything meaningful and the employees who work their office are overall unhelpful and give the impression that they feel indifferent to the trouble the customer is experiencing, Yes Ive made sure theres nothing currently running thats draining bandwidth like one drive or drop box, Yes I have a game and skype open at the same time. and No, its not reasonable that the modem should shut itself off any time something like this happens.The worst part of all of this is that even if youre on copper lines, their absolute worst service, youll still pay only ten dollars less than if you were on their fiber optic connection.It seems they make their money by being the only option for many people in the area, much like myself. Ive already looked into literally every other ISP in the area and none of them except for Delhitel provide service in my area.All in all, if you have their fiber connection dont worry, theyre fantastic and remarkably stable for a small isp in the middle of the mountains. for anyone else however. I feel the same pain you undoubtedly do.
I think changing internet speeds 25x10 standalone vs 75x10 when combined with other services is shady business. I plan to contact the better business bureau and several other agencies as well as inform my neighborhood of this poor practice. Your fiber optic network was funded by the taxpayer the very person you deceive and employ these shady business policies and practices on. Shame on you!
If youre into abusive relationships with your internet service provider, then youll love Delhi Tel. I live in an area without cell service, so we rely on WiFi for our phones. We also stream TV. We pay the premium but get service from the 1990s 1/3 of the year. Worst part they always try to blame it on you, always in a friendly tone...are you sure e you didnt cut wires in the house? Maybe its the router, which youll have to pay to have fixed. Let me inconvenience you by making you drop it off in the middle of the work day to get scanned. 5 years of this and ITS NEVER US! I am currently sitting on a stoop 3 miles from home using public wifW to write this review because we havent had WiFi for a week. Get it together Delhi Tel.
Employees are most courteous and all try to help you with any problems that you have. I feel they go out of their way to make you feel important and to address any issues at any time. Whether you were dressed them in person or over the phone, again, they are the best.
Horrible company. Was suppose to have unlimited phone service but they then charged me for every phone call i made!!!! Then they always say its your fault even though you have called them about this problem and even went to the office. Do not go with this company. Id rather go with spectrum

2022-05-03Our congregation recently began holding hybrid meetings which required a much better internet service. We contracted with Delhi Tel. The sales person was very helpful and the technicians performing the install were on time, very efficient and professional. Every detail has been flawless with wonderful results.

2022-04-10Fast! We have 5 people in our home all streaming and playing games and we have zero issues. The installation went great and the tech worked with me getting the equipment set up exactly where I wanted it.

2021-04-14Jess Howes Building Supplies had a quick and effective install of a new DTC phone system. We had no downtime. Dan and his team are very knowledgeable and willing to meet our every need. Delhi Telephone offers great products and excellent customer service. They feel like a partner in our business.

2021-02-28Easily the worst internet I’ve ever used in my life, hotel WiFi is more stable than this abomination. When you call to report a problem you spend 90% of the time on hold just for them to tell you “we’ve created a ticket and the problem should be resolved in 1-2 business days”. They never call you back. And since they have no competition, they have no reason to better their services. Your average joe probably knows more about networking than these people, I spent 2 months with no internet because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my connection. If you have the option to use any other company for anything, I implore you to do so.

2020-11-24No longer required to have a land line in order to have internet!!!!! For a very long time they were the only internet provider in the area. They still are for my area. Because they were a telephone company I was required to have a land line that I never wanted or needed. For approximately 4 years this has been the case. I currently found out when I called to switch service that that regulation changed. They could not tell me when that changed or how much I was paying extra per month for a phone I never wanted or needed. Asked why customers were not informed and they said they couldnt tell customers when regulations change all the time. Fair answer. I paid over $100 a month for internet because I was required to have a land line. I am lucky enough to afford that. That is a lot of money especially in a time like this where internet is needed to work and search for work if unemployed. Sad that a local company is still doing this and not giving back to customers in these hard times. Very sad youre taking advantage of the community that keeps you in business this way.

2020-01-08Paul the installer was fantastic.He arrived exactly on time.Although it was raining ( I live on the side of a mountain) and he had to clime a pole that was over 100 yards from my home he did this work swiftly and without complaint.After the installation he went over everything that I should know.From what not to touch (that would void my warranty) to what to do in case of a problem. I cannot rave about him enough.After having HUGHESNET for 13 years Delhi Telephone service and speed of the internet is outstanding.

2019-12-21When I moved to Delhi NY, 5k people, I wasnt expecting anything as far as telecommunications. But I had better service there, and better customer service than when I lived in Flagstaff AZ, 70k people. Bravo on your fiber network, you put larger companies to shame.

2019-08-13There fine until they make a mistake and except you to pay for it. They are not community oriented or customer friendly. I either always talk to Sandy who denies what was said when she talks to her supervisor and her Supervisor Val likes to tell people to act like an adult and accuses you of lying. I even tried talking to Jason who is above Val and he refuses to speak to you. So your strong armed into paying whatever they say you owe even when its there accounting mistake. So much for customer friendly.

2019-12-20Worst company in Delaware County! They deserve 0 stars. It is never their fault. We the customers are always at fault. Cannot wait for the day this monopoly has competition as they will soon after be out of business.
