My surprise birthday party took place at this restaurant, felt very blessed and grateful that I did. The staff was friendly but the atmosphere was what topped it off. We are outside eating in the tent It was beautifully decorated, for a chilly rainy night It was really warm inside. A friend and I couldnt decide between two plates so we wound up splitting both, The chicken francese was amazing and the penny vodka with cutlets is definitely a must try.Would definitely recommend if youre looking for a great place for outdoor seating.

Staten Island is known for the wide array of Italian restaurants, but this is one of those must eat at Italian restaurants on the island. The food and service is always great, Rob (the owner) always walks around and greets everyone which is very comforting. He makes you feel wanted there and he is an outstanding gentleman. The restaurant is very nice and has an old charm to it. The back patio is also a very big space which is much needed in these harsh times. I’ve had many plates here, but my favorite so far are the lamb chops, which are made in an incredible red wine sauce. I’ve been here a few times and I will frequent this place many more.

A party of 3 on a Saturday night no reservation needed. Decided to dine outdoor. They had a huge tent setup in the back which was great. No one’s wearing any masks though. As in people that work there and customers. We were the only party there had our masks on until we were ready for the food.As for the food - mediocre at best.First, the shrimp pasta($38), the sauce was too sour and we didn’t know if they added too much lemon but sourness is the only thing we can taste out of the dish. The shrimp had good texture but lack seasoning. It’s almost like you’re eating boiled shrimp with some crumbs on it. The pasta was al dente but then again you would expect that out of any decent Italian restaurant so nothing to write home about. On to the most expensive dish of the evening, the seafood ravioli($68). Good portion, lobster was huge! Again not much taste it’s almost like they combined two separate dishes, ravioli and a bunch of boiled seafood. Because that how I felt when I tried it. It’s like if you eat it with your eyes closed you’d think they are two completely separate dish. In some way the ravioli was better than the seafood. When you combine all of that experience with the price tag, is it worth it? not for us. Anyone can boil a bunch of seafood and then toss them in ravioli for less than that.I had the truffle rigatoni($33). Honestly the best out of the main course. Again you can probably buy some truffle sauce, chop up some mushrooms and Italian sausages and that’ll taste as good and cost you less than half of what we paid for.The appetizers aren’t even worth mentioning, we had fried calamari and zucchini flowers with ricotta and mozzarella. The calamari were lightly fried so it’s still kinda soft unless you find smaller pieces in which they were a bit more crunchy. The cheese in the flowers was runny so you end up with a mouth full of runny cheese in your mouth. I don’t what for you but that was not good for us.Lastly the service was good but then again as Deluca’s advertise themselves or at least tried to look like a fine dinning restaurant, that’s the least you can expect. The total for the night came out to be $183 before tips(we tipped 18%). Oh if you pay with credit they charge you a fee which essentially is a way to entice you to pay cash which is rather odd for a so called fine Italian restaurant.I don’t usually dine on Staten Island though i live here. I find better quality of food in general for much much less in the city. If I want to pay that kind of money for Italian food, I’d go to mid town.Yea it’s long, this review so the TLDR: the ice water was fantastic!

*Super long review but so worth it*Let’s start off with the warm smiles we were greeted with when we walked into the establishment. There’s nothing like feeling welcome when you walk into a restaurant for the first time. Now onto the incredible food-I started my meal with a Peach martini which was *chefs kiss* and the perfect start. Giovani was an incredible and attentive server who explained the daily specials in great detail and made sure we had the best service. The owner (whose name I forgot to get) was ALSO walking the floor and tending to each guest as if he knew them personally. A visible and friendly owner is an EXCELLENT sign of what’s to come!Pictured below in order: (1-10/10 being highest)*special* The sweet & spicy calamari with raisin & pine nuts. 10/10 (delicious)*special* Tuna Tartare with avocado and cucumber salad, chips. 900000000/10 (omfg it was bomb)*special* Stuffed Peppers with mozzarella, prosciutto & breadcrumbs 10/10 (spicy! Not for the weak lol)Entree: Truffle Rigatoni with crumbled sausage 90000/10 (incredibleee)Overall - you get the gist. I loved it - the atmosphere, the food (& the best part is there was a huge birthday party when we were there and they were having the best time ever.) The vibes were ✨immaculate✨Thanks for an incredible dinner! I’ll be back a thousand times over!

Food was fantastic, definitely lived up to the recommendation. We went for a nice bachelorette dinner and had their special menu for Valentines day and no one was disappointed. Our waiter was also very good, handled out questions well and made it a great night.

Was here for the first time shooting an engagement for one of my friends/client. The food and drinks are great. Its not your typical Staten Island restaurant.Staff is friendly and accommodating, from bartenders to waiters and hostess. Will definitely be back soon for dinner and drinks and hope to be shooting here some time again in the future for private events!

Nice ambience, very good customer service. Over-priced ok food. The salmon I ordered was overcooked and damn near dried out. My wife ordered Chilean sea bass which was bland. The drinks were on par. A bit heavy handed but that could be both a pro and a con for whoever is drinking. This place seems to be more of place people go to just to say they have been. In my opinion, this restaurant is more of a status place than a tasty eatery. Unfortunately, I couldnt recommend this place to people due to its mediocre food taste and over-priced meals.

My litmus test for a great restaurant is simple. Atmosphere, service, drinks, food (that I can’t make) and a fair price. This place is an B+ for food. Service, good waiter but over worked, B-.The drinks, weak, small, overpriced D+.Atmosphere C, nasty, old, tight ,smelly, not maintained. Major draft of cold air coming though the wall. The waiter actually saved us some money by not seeing if we wanted another drink, which we did. So we drank the water. The prices are above something you find in exclusive restaurants in NYC or LA. The overall experience was “ok”. Food was tasty. My meal was hot. My wife’s meal was cold. I doubt I would return to DeLuca’s, I bet most people won’t. A place like that, in a town like that, with prices like that, will surely fail. Dinner for two….4 drinks, 2 appetizers, shared pasta, 2 entrees, shared dessert, coffee and cappuccino……$297.77 before tip. I understand inflation is hitting us hard. This place just doesn’t call for such over the top prices.

If you’re planning on going just two people don’t do it in order to get the best service you need to be a big party and drinking a lot of wine when we got there we ordered fried calamari it took a long time for that to come out our waiter did not even come over to see if we were doing OK or ready to make our order I had to flag him down when we finally got our food no one came over to say hey is everything OK are you happy not one person at the end I order dessert they didn’t even ask Us if we wanted a cup of coffee or something I guess the owner was that there like he usually is maybe he was over at Forest Avenue finally I flag down the way to get my check and I told my companion after having dessert let’s get out of here once again it’s my opinion if you’re just gonna go to people be prepared for very poor service the menu in fact it’s not really even that big or impressive menu I’d rather take my business elsewhere since the way I was treated tonight
