Went there with great friends for a night out in my old hometown, and was pleasantly surprised. Service was a little slow, but the food and drinks rode out the time. Wouldnt have minded a little Frank Sinatra instead of Pitbull, but the house DJ did his thing. Food was priced well and the array of options was nice. Not better than the top Italian restaurants on the island, but still better than Portobello Cafe.
Upscale restaurant that has amazing service and outstanding food. The interior could pass as a bit romantic or could be for family functions. Prices are on the higher end, but you’ll get what you pay for. Delucas will even cater to special occasions (girlfriend and I came here for a celebration). They have a small outdoor seating area in their parking lot, but the inside is where most people will eat. Definitely recommend.
Loved it, great food!... The drinks were great. I had a Lychee Martinee , its a must try!.The food was amazing. Staff were great ...they even had a really good dj playing . Its a little pricey...but so worth it!! You could ask if your dish is enough for two....mine was !
6🌟 Stars are given because of the Professionalism of Wait Staff, Valet and owner. Kudos to your family for raising a caring and mature son, Rob. Thank you for getting us home safely and quickly. My car was cared for properly the entire evening which DeLuca’s Restaurant deserves HIGH PRAISE. Thank you all.
Weve eaten here numerous times food always delicious. I love the warm smiles that greet you when you arrive the service always top notch. We ordered last night for pick up bc when my brother is here from FL they have to have mommas meatballs & their baked clams. The food was amazing.. large order of appetizers & entrees by the time my husband picked up & brought back home everything was extremely hot & delicious(we were shocked how good the take out was) weve eaten at the restaurant many times always perfect. Weve also catered from them for parties everyone loved the food. I also want to add that Rob the owner is an amazing patriot fighting for all our rights against tyranny. God bless businesses like this.. we need more like Rob in this upside down world. They will always get my business bc I will not spend my money with any business asking for vaccine passport. Thanks for always taking a stand for a free Society.
Everything regarding the food from the presentation, to the service, to the taste is absolutley amazing. The owners put their heart and soul into the business and it shows by the respect that they have for their patrons.Support this local business. You will NOT be disappointed.
Ok, went here for the first time on Easter Sunday. Sticker shock when I saw the prices on the menu - I get it, were in the middle of a pandemic and restaurants need the cash - I dont mind paying for good food, that being said, the food was fantastic. I ordered the veal osso buco, unbelievable - what a great dish. My wife had a shrimp dish, with spinach and tomatoes, that was really good too. Id definitely go back to this place just to try their regular menu. The service was excellent too.
PLASTIC IN THE FOOD!!!! I took a bite of my chicken parmigiana and in my mouth I almost choked on a 3 inch piece of clear PLASTIC!!!!! After I told the server he never came back and the new server gave me an Attitude about me asking about the bill !! I was very disappointed and I am the type to never leave a bad review and never complain about food at all but after the server didn’t show me any respect at all and the 2nd server was even worse, I had to tell everyone how horrible it was at this restaurant and leave a review. PLASTIC in the food!!! Don’t Waste you Time!!!
Most of all the food here is simply fantastic. the homemade pasta is pefect with many choices, had the penne with lobster cream sauce/meat! place is set up very nicely out back with ample space. the service is always friendly with plenty of help available but you are not rushed. the owner always makes a point to stop by and say hello. cant wait to go back.
I have to say this was one of the best meals I have had in a while. The crisp fried calamari in the sweet and spicy sauce was perfect. The Fioretti BOSCAIOLA was amazing, little fresh pasta purses stuffed with pear and riccotta topped with a light cream and mushroom sauce. I shared it with my husband which I regretted after the first bite. I definitely should have ordered my own dish. Everyone at the table enjoyed everything which is a difficult feat. A truly hidden gem of a restaurant.
Hi,We were a party of four and I made a reservation . I was not asked if I wanted to be seated inside or in the new party room which is in a tent with heaters. The only reason we even went out to dinner was to be able to sit indoors and enjoy a nice meal. I was so disappointed when they walked us out to the back tent. We were hungry so we stayed but , I think that your customer deserves to be asked if the mind sitting outside in the winter. My legs and feet were frozen buy the time we finished eating . I don’t think I will be returning to your restaurant. This is no way to treat your customer who wants to dine at your restaurant and help you stay in business during these trying times.
Amazing food. One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. Outdoor dining during the pandemic was fun. Even got to see a possum. Service was a little slow. Unfortunately our waiter was not the best. I think they have a lot of new waiters with the outdoor dining. But would definitely go back again.
Food was excellent but we were told about a special wine served by the glass without being told how much per glass ,basically our fault for not asking but when the bill came we were shocked to find that it was $45 per glass and we had 4 glasses this should have been told to us when he told us about the special wine. Lesson to be learned ask before you drink.
The fact that you say “it’s easier to get through border than it is to eat at restaurant.” You definitely have issues and need to rethink about working with people. It’s not about freedom it’s about protecting the people and everyone around you. If you can’t understand that than you close your restaurant because you are the reason why people are getting sick.
Good food, service, and place is spotless. Generous portions. Don’t know if the drinks are generous, or not because we didn’t have any. Great background music at a normal volume so you can have a conversation. No booths and tables are a little close for our taste. Valet parking. We’ll definitely be back.
As good as it gets. Wonderful food and attentive service. Bravo. The highlight of the meal for me was the starters. Clams, a bread with mozzarella combo, shrimp and squid, and a garlicky red dipping sauce for the bread. I also thought their gnocchi were great. Of course we had an Italian chef ordering!
We LOVE DeLucas and is easily one of the best restaurants on Staten Island. My favorite dishes have all included seafood and can honestly say their quality greatly surpasses anywhere else on the island. Everything is great there! The food is incredible, the service is great, and they make you feel like you’re part of the family.
As an Italian American, the last thing I usually want to go out and eat is Italian food...but DeLuca’s was totally worth it! They have a really nice NOT CROWDED outdoor eating area, with a bar which was a plus. Food was fresh and delicious and the sangria was awesome, definitely recommend!
Well..sitting here 3 hours with a table of 6..just got our entrees..Im sorry but the food was not worth the wait...Ive had better...not sure what the hype is all about! They cant handle a big crowd! The table next to us with 20 people are getting all the attention! Cant get bread, cant get a drink! The ravioli special was so sweet thought I was having desert..anyway Im not sure Id back! Oh jeeez..just got the bill! Seriously 35.00 for a small pitcher of sangria..12.00 for a tiny glass of wine.Cmon Rob..this is not Manhattan ..you want people to come back..service needs to be better too pricey! To much competition out there!
Classic quality Italian service with warmth andCommitment to make you happy. The apps were delicious and good sized portions.Coconut shrimp, meatballs, and eggplant wereEnough long before my entree arrived. All of the entrees came out together for a party of 17, not easy to do on a busy Saturday.Try it, you may just love it!
I’m very upset with Deluca’s. So if you spend there $200-300 for dinner they go above and beyond, as it was with us. But when you order via Seamless, the app charge your card and then in 30-40 minutes you get a message that they are too busy to make it for you. So why don’t you delete your restaurant from the app, or if you got my order why didn’t you call me. My kid spent 40 minutes waiting for the pizza that will never arrived and my card was charged and I need to waste my time to return my money. Bad service, rude stuff.
Service was good and decor was very pretty. I was there with a group of four and none of us thought the food was that good. It was okay, but I would never go back. Thought they were extremely rude by clearing off the table while one person was still eating their entree. Thanks
Today I had my Daughters wedding at Delucas Restaurant. The owner Robert informed us we were the 1st to actually get married on site.It was a spectacular time. His staff was incredible and very attentive. Food was incredible especially the stuffed veal chop and shrimp Toscana and Filet mignon. The 40 people were comfortable and cool in his tented outdoor dining area.A truly classy restaurant. Make youFeel like family.
Came here for buy one get one free. Food was excellent. I had the pork chop and my wife had the chicken Toscana. So tasty. Our waiter Eddie also did some magic which was funny until I stole his watch! Highly recommended this great neighborhood eatery. The owner Robert Deluca always a great host!
Food was delicious/5 stars, service was lacking/3 stars, so I give it 4 stars total. I was confused because there was plenty of staff and they were all clearly busy/working hard, but it took forever to get drinks and our food. Overall we would try again but I see others had a similar experience.
I came for lunch. Quickly I was seated in a beautiful cozy area of tables next to the bar. There was a really nice young man who seated me, but Im thinking hes part of the family that owns the place. He was very knowledgable about the wine choices and adviced me on a glass of red that I loved and went well with the veal.Food was amazing. Veal with capers, veggies, and potatoes. I wouldnt change a thing. Worth the price. Ill be coming back on my next birthday. Thank you delucas!
It was an unfortunate circumstance that brought me to this restaurant. It was the restaurant choosen by my cousin following the death of her mom, my aunt, age 97. From the appetizers to the pastries. I felt like I was at a wedding rather than following a funeral. The food and service was outstanding.
We are simply blown away by our first Delucas experience. Gorgeous environs... particularly the crystal chandeliers. Amazingly attentive service all to provide exquisite food. We enjoyed the strawberry almond salad and the garlic shrimp over sauteed spinach. Delicious! You owe it to yourself to go celebrate something at Delucas.
Was going to have a christening party next month at delucas very nice place I remember when it was Rocky Totos you walk to the bar the place is ice cold what everybody wants you have a private room you have tables in the outside back tables in the front for the guys who want to smoke The Big C guys or the kids with the cigarettes great menu a bit pricey but hey its my granddaughters first birthday cant penny-pinch now and I cant take it with me. P. S. Going to send my daughter there with our husband for dinner check out the food were running out of time make a decision and get the deal done hope it all works out I really like the place but its always up to the kids
Was Amazing to see this Mother and Son run restaurant give every single patron one on one attention ensuring they were happy with their meals... Delucas consistently raises the bar with their daily specials, have not had a bad or even so so meal, here yet. Well Done Team!! See you again Tonight!
Not enough words to write about his great the food is and the servers to rated. The owners are superb! Atmosphere excellent!! Everytime i order the branzino i finish it and want more! The nutella calzone must be part of your dining experience! Scale of 1 to 10 a 10+!
This place was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to on Staten Island. The vibe was awesome and the staff was so much fun. We had Giovani and Javier as our waiters and they were hilarious. They were so attentive and accommodating. Even the bussers were so cool and friendly and on top of everything. We had such a fun time. We went for my friends birthday and they gave us complimentary rounds of shots and desserts. They even let her pour her own shots, lol. They had great personalities and were super funny. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were great. The Chilean Sea Bass with mussels, clams and shrimp with black linguine (which they substituted for me so I can try it) was amazing. We ate outside and it was comfortable and clean. Even inside was kept very well and when you walk in everyone greets you. This was our first time there but we will 100% be going back 🥳
Its not often an establishment gets five stars, but since the day I first stepped foot into DeLucas Ive been impressed. They truly care about your experience from start to finish. They take your feedback seriously, and always make you feel welcome. The food, the drinks and atmosphere is what keeps me coming back.
Great place!!! Atmosphere... ambiance...very classy...love the bar! Hostesses..friendly...sweet... staff...attentive friendly...very knowledgeable about menu..service is excellent (watched Nick de-bone the branzino...nice touch!!!)... owner...super friendly...really cares about his customers...the food...fantastic to say the least... love it there!
Nice friendly place , excellent drinks, very good service n Plenty of parking . Food was ok . Had clams casino , bacon was not cooked I didnt eat it . Had filet mignon alittle over done . Asked for med rare came out med well. Still tasty and enjoyed the nite . Wasnt rushed even though it was crowded . I will go back and try something different ...
Marge and I tried this new restaurant opened by chef Rob Deluca tonight. My dish, Farfalle alla Yolanda was DELISH; however, Marges dish, Gnocchi Sarentino was not up to par. The home made gnocchis were mushy! Now its understandable that home made pasta is softer and they were less heavy, but overcooked in our opinion and the sauce was bland. We voiced this to Chef Rob and he apologized. We were offered free desert but not told until the bill arrived. So, we didnt order our free desert. As far as the appetizer, we ordered the waiter recommended stuffed ricotta zucchini flowers that was flavorless and sparse for an extravagant $14.The house Cabernet wine was horrible as it tasted like vinegar (must have been turning)! The more expensive Decoy Cabernet was much better (professionally replaced by our waiter for the same price as the house wine). The service was not up to snuff either as our waiter had too many tables to attend to and never checked back with us during our meal or mentioned that desert was on the house.Im sorry to say that although the owner was extra nice to us, I cannot recommend this restaurant at this time. Perhaps the restaurant being new is experiencing some growing pains that hopefully will be addressed in the coming days/weeks.Johnny Disappointed Brown
Uh........Shill reviews not withstanding, how about $ 16.00 for 1/3 glass of wine? Add some bland sauce on your pasta and overcompensating waiters and you’ve got a restaurant that needn’t be visited a second time. Sadly, this is NOT an improvement over the previous version of this place - DaNicos.
Just left this restaurant from the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left everyone in this restaurant was outstanding the food is top-notch right down to the desert incredible I had a great experience can’t wait to go back and I think you should try it yourself also

2021-10-26My surprise birthday party took place at this restaurant, felt very blessed and grateful that I did. The staff was friendly but the atmosphere was what topped it off. We are outside eating in the tent It was beautifully decorated, for a chilly rainy night It was really warm inside. A friend and I couldnt decide between two plates so we wound up splitting both, The chicken francese was amazing and the penny vodka with cutlets is definitely a must try.Would definitely recommend if youre looking for a great place for outdoor seating.

2021-09-27Staten Island is known for the wide array of Italian restaurants, but this is one of those must eat at Italian restaurants on the island. The food and service is always great, Rob (the owner) always walks around and greets everyone which is very comforting. He makes you feel wanted there and he is an outstanding gentleman. The restaurant is very nice and has an old charm to it. The back patio is also a very big space which is much needed in these harsh times. I’ve had many plates here, but my favorite so far are the lamb chops, which are made in an incredible red wine sauce. I’ve been here a few times and I will frequent this place many more.

2021-08-01A party of 3 on a Saturday night no reservation needed. Decided to dine outdoor. They had a huge tent setup in the back which was great. No one’s wearing any masks though. As in people that work there and customers. We were the only party there had our masks on until we were ready for the food.As for the food - mediocre at best.First, the shrimp pasta($38), the sauce was too sour and we didn’t know if they added too much lemon but sourness is the only thing we can taste out of the dish. The shrimp had good texture but lack seasoning. It’s almost like you’re eating boiled shrimp with some crumbs on it. The pasta was al dente but then again you would expect that out of any decent Italian restaurant so nothing to write home about. On to the most expensive dish of the evening, the seafood ravioli($68). Good portion, lobster was huge! Again not much taste it’s almost like they combined two separate dishes, ravioli and a bunch of boiled seafood. Because that how I felt when I tried it. It’s like if you eat it with your eyes closed you’d think they are two completely separate dish. In some way the ravioli was better than the seafood. When you combine all of that experience with the price tag, is it worth it? not for us. Anyone can boil a bunch of seafood and then toss them in ravioli for less than that.I had the truffle rigatoni($33). Honestly the best out of the main course. Again you can probably buy some truffle sauce, chop up some mushrooms and Italian sausages and that’ll taste as good and cost you less than half of what we paid for.The appetizers aren’t even worth mentioning, we had fried calamari and zucchini flowers with ricotta and mozzarella. The calamari were lightly fried so it’s still kinda soft unless you find smaller pieces in which they were a bit more crunchy. The cheese in the flowers was runny so you end up with a mouth full of runny cheese in your mouth. I don’t what for you but that was not good for us.Lastly the service was good but then again as Deluca’s advertise themselves or at least tried to look like a fine dinning restaurant, that’s the least you can expect. The total for the night came out to be $183 before tips(we tipped 18%). Oh if you pay with credit they charge you a fee which essentially is a way to entice you to pay cash which is rather odd for a so called fine Italian restaurant.I don’t usually dine on Staten Island though i live here. I find better quality of food in general for much much less in the city. If I want to pay that kind of money for Italian food, I’d go to mid town.Yea it’s long, this review so the TLDR: the ice water was fantastic!

2021-07-16*Super long review but so worth it*Let’s start off with the warm smiles we were greeted with when we walked into the establishment. There’s nothing like feeling welcome when you walk into a restaurant for the first time. Now onto the incredible food-I started my meal with a Peach martini which was *chefs kiss* and the perfect start. Giovani was an incredible and attentive server who explained the daily specials in great detail and made sure we had the best service. The owner (whose name I forgot to get) was ALSO walking the floor and tending to each guest as if he knew them personally. A visible and friendly owner is an EXCELLENT sign of what’s to come!Pictured below in order: (1-10/10 being highest)*special* The sweet & spicy calamari with raisin & pine nuts. 10/10 (delicious)*special* Tuna Tartare with avocado and cucumber salad, chips. 900000000/10 (omfg it was bomb)*special* Stuffed Peppers with mozzarella, prosciutto & breadcrumbs 10/10 (spicy! Not for the weak lol)Entree: Truffle Rigatoni with crumbled sausage 90000/10 (incredibleee)Overall - you get the gist. I loved it - the atmosphere, the food (& the best part is there was a huge birthday party when we were there and they were having the best time ever.) The vibes were ✨immaculate✨Thanks for an incredible dinner! I’ll be back a thousand times over!

2022-02-14Food was fantastic, definitely lived up to the recommendation. We went for a nice bachelorette dinner and had their special menu for Valentines day and no one was disappointed. Our waiter was also very good, handled out questions well and made it a great night.

2022-05-26Was here for the first time shooting an engagement for one of my friends/client. The food and drinks are great. Its not your typical Staten Island restaurant.Staff is friendly and accommodating, from bartenders to waiters and hostess. Will definitely be back soon for dinner and drinks and hope to be shooting here some time again in the future for private events!

2022-04-17Nice ambience, very good customer service. Over-priced ok food. The salmon I ordered was overcooked and damn near dried out. My wife ordered Chilean sea bass which was bland. The drinks were on par. A bit heavy handed but that could be both a pro and a con for whoever is drinking. This place seems to be more of place people go to just to say they have been. In my opinion, this restaurant is more of a status place than a tasty eatery. Unfortunately, I couldnt recommend this place to people due to its mediocre food taste and over-priced meals.

2022-02-17My litmus test for a great restaurant is simple. Atmosphere, service, drinks, food (that I can’t make) and a fair price. This place is an B+ for food. Service, good waiter but over worked, B-.The drinks, weak, small, overpriced D+.Atmosphere C, nasty, old, tight ,smelly, not maintained. Major draft of cold air coming though the wall. The waiter actually saved us some money by not seeing if we wanted another drink, which we did. So we drank the water. The prices are above something you find in exclusive restaurants in NYC or LA. The overall experience was “ok”. Food was tasty. My meal was hot. My wife’s meal was cold. I doubt I would return to DeLuca’s, I bet most people won’t. A place like that, in a town like that, with prices like that, will surely fail. Dinner for two….4 drinks, 2 appetizers, shared pasta, 2 entrees, shared dessert, coffee and cappuccino……$297.77 before tip. I understand inflation is hitting us hard. This place just doesn’t call for such over the top prices.

2022-06-03If you’re planning on going just two people don’t do it in order to get the best service you need to be a big party and drinking a lot of wine when we got there we ordered fried calamari it took a long time for that to come out our waiter did not even come over to see if we were doing OK or ready to make our order I had to flag him down when we finally got our food no one came over to say hey is everything OK are you happy not one person at the end I order dessert they didn’t even ask Us if we wanted a cup of coffee or something I guess the owner was that there like he usually is maybe he was over at Forest Avenue finally I flag down the way to get my check and I told my companion after having dessert let’s get out of here once again it’s my opinion if you’re just gonna go to people be prepared for very poor service the menu in fact it’s not really even that big or impressive menu I’d rather take my business elsewhere since the way I was treated tonight
