The food was great the waitress destiny with the blue ponytail not so much!!! I think maybe she had way too many tables on her plate so she couldnt do Her job correctly like bring us napkins bring us extra butter more coffee when it was empty for about a 1/2 an hour But the food was great!!! Very disappointing!!!
We waited a very long time for a our order, guest who sat and ordered after us got their food before us . We also received the wrong food order not once but twice. Service was not the greatest and management did nothing to accommodate us at all . We will not returning to this location as loyal customers no longer very disappointed.
The food wasn’t bad but the service was terrible. Our waitress was Mary and she walked around the dining room like she was lost. She was rude and never came over to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else. We had to ask her halfway through our meal for napkins and that was after she was standing behind us not saying anything but looking at us. Our dirty plates were left on the table while we waited over 10 mins for our check.
Ive never seen so garbage on the carpet. Place isnt crowded. Coffee is burnt to the hilt. There are approximately 8 people eating in here & nobody cleaning the rug at all. I ordered french toast I literally got a piece of bread in half. Usually you get at least 2 pieces. My friend got the chicken sandwich said its blah.
Honestly, if it wasnt for the kids asking to go, I dont think I will go to Dennys again, voluntarily. Everything seemed pre packed/frozen and they just warmed it up. We had better quality food at home and could have made Everything we paid for at Home. Sorry Dennys owners and fans, this is just my opinion.
Me and my friend went to eat here and upon entering we waited for 10 minutes to get a worker to tell us it would be another 10 minutes to be seated when there was a bunch of empty tables available. They only had two people running the whole place. We will not be returning anytime soon.
Excellent and friendly service, all food was prepared well, and was delicious. We went early, before the rush on Valentines day, and we were in and out unbelievably fast. They followed COVID protocol completely, and everyone was spaced well. I was pleasantly surprised, as it can get extremely busy, due to the area.
Service was fine but they were really understaffed. Granted it was 3am but having only one person to seat customers, wait tables and run food seems to be a but much. Food was great and came out quick. My rating does not reflect poorly on the staff at all, it reflects the excuse for an owner that allowed the place to become so decrepit.The interior is extremely rundown and damaged. Speakers were playing music the whole time but they were so old and damaged I couldnt even figure out what song was playing, just sounded like distorted noise. Bathroom was pretty gross and the smell of urine was overpowering. The whole place just does not look clean which is not an impression you want to get from a resturant. I could go on but you get the message.Basically the service is fine but the owner is hilariously incompetent.
I just had the worst dining experience in my life. The food was lukewarm, even the coffee.The service was terrible. After bringing my food to the table, my waiter was nowhere to be found. There was no follow-up. No Is everything okay? No, Would you like more coffee? Nothing. After sitting at my table for a full fifteen minutes after finishing my breakfast I tried to flag down another waitress. I know she saw me. We made eye contact and I waved but she turned away and left the dining area.I went to the front counter and no one was there. I could hear voices from the kitchen, including that of my initial waiter, but no one was at the front counter. And no one showed up for a full five minutes.I could have walked out the door and driven away without anyone noticing. Finally, the manager appeared and when I complained about my experience he attempted to defend the waitress that ignored me. When he should have said We apologize for the inconvenience he wouldnt even listen to my complaint and, instead attempted to make poor excuses for his waitress. Then he asked me for my table check - this is after I had already explained that both my waiter and the waitress never came over. I explain again and he asked me where I was sitting and then tries to charge me for another table. My table was a corner booth so there could be no mistaking where I had pointed. So I told him he had the wrong table and he said it was my fault again.The managers incompetence and insolence, not to mention the absentee waitstaff and the lukewarm food are why I will never visit this Dennys ever again.
Had breakfast there yesterday with 2 friends and we all had the worst experience. Orders were prepared wrong and took way to long for the food to be served. Eggs way over cooked, wrong toast, very small portion of hash browns. Not a fault of the waitress. Manager said they were training new kitchen staff and gave us our meals on the house along with a apology. Better luck next time we hope.
We tried to go here for dinner tonight. We got there at 6:45pm. The doors were open and the sign and website says they don’t close until 8pm. When we walked in the two people at the front said they were closed. I could understand saying that if we had come in at 7:30 or 7:45 but we came over an hour before they closed. That was extremely rude.
This is one of my favorite places to go with friends. I like the atmosphere, the service I get from the waitresses and most of the food. Their coffee and breakfast items are delicious. Pancakes are not as fluffy as Ihop pancakes, but I still like them. There is one thing that I have an issue with is that certain dishes that I order get a bit overcooked such as the skillets. Not to the point where I cant eat it, but it does affect the quality.

The person who took my order kept saying she was new. I was ok with that, people need work. When I arrived, my food was ready. I paid, and left. Opened the box once I reached my destination (the food came in a box), put the food on a plate, and then I dug in. From the first bite, something didn’t feel right. Pickles... it had pickles (although I wish I could say that was the only thing wrong with it), well ok, I thought and I proceed to remove them. I take my second bite and that’s when it starts to happen, the burger started falling into pieces. That happens...right? Kept eating a bit till I realized this tastes weird. Took it apart and to my surprise I found that the burger looked like raw meat. The picture shows it all. If I ruined your breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I’m sorry. And to help you feel that sigh of relief, the photo is not a picture of food that was chewed, it’s the way the burger came on its own.Final thoughts: I won’t be going back here. However, if you’re hungry, don’t let my review stop you. Just be careful when ordering your food and review it carefully before that first bite... unless you want to turn out like me, wondering if my body will be rejecting the small portion I ate; if you know what I mean.Cheers.
The food was to regular Dennys quality although the service was not. The staff was very rushed and busy, they didnt seem to have control over serving all their guests. Although there was nobody in front of us we still had difficulties trying to be greeted to a table. Once we were seated and order it was roughly a 25-30 minute wait for food. Now Im not entirely sure if Ive had extremely good luck with other dennies locations prior to this although I cant say Ive had more than a 15 minute wait. Overall, expect long wait times and no service to the table after your order has been fulfilled.
Let me begin this review by saying I rarely eat at chain restaurants and the last time I ate at a Dennys was in the late 1990s. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical at first but I was happily surprised. I ordered an egg white, veggie omelette and it was delicious! I especially enjoyed the roasted squash and mushrooms filling. The home fries were also really good. As was the coffee! All in all, eating at this Dennys was a treat!
I never write rewievs but this time I had to. First of all the waiters look like they just woke up....undone hair and their presentation was not professional. Our waiter had his pants hanging so you could see his underwear! The place wasnt busy and we waited more then half an hour for our food, when we finally got it I was grossed out...the plates were greasy like with finger prints all over them. Same with the utensil. I order tea with lemon and when I got my lemon it was still with the sticker on! Who does that? Overall unpleasant experience the place is dirty and disgusting the carpets there are old and stink. I will never go back. I only gave one star for the pancakes because my kids said they were good.
They were so slow with our food.. It took forever to get our drinks and silverware.... However it was a Tuesday and New Years Day! My youngest children were free meals, they took off all drinks and they gave us free deserts. We ended up paying 32 dollars for a family of 5!! All the food was hot! So with that being said I enjoyed my skillet!!
Dirty. Horrible service. Didnt provide enough silverware, napkins or straws. Host sat 4 of us, gave us 3 settings. I shared my napkin with my daughter. Served kids drinks with no straws. Forgot half our drinks. Forgot some of our food. Forgot syrup. Food was cold. Completely unorganized. Served food without tray jack, put food on table next to us to serve food. (Manager served the food. Prime example of poor leadership.) Poor service and staff. Overall horrible experience. Not going back.
Worst service ever! Not the waitresses fault. Left after sitting for more than a half hour with no service 7/24. Not even a cup of coffee. Heard another patron tell the manager they waited for food over an hour. The manager should have been better prepared for a Sunday morning service. At the very least he should have been working the room. Never going back again! After we left my niece told me the service there is always like that. Went to the dinner up the road and we were eating 15min after they sat us. Did I say we were a group of seven?
Not happy with the service my wife and I received. The waitress was rude and nasty. Never came by and ask how was the food. I was afraid to ask for anything else. My wife order the tilapia fish and It was uncooked, it was sent back to the cook. The manager came by or person in charge, and apologized. She did not identify herself. I wonder why the place was empty. I hope the management look into the Dennys in Centereach, NY. I hoped something get done about this. This is a place I used to visit at least 3times a week. After 10 minutes upon arrival, waitress finally comes over and says Ill be right with you. After another 10 minutes, I got up and got my own waitress. Order came out cold, wrong. Will never come back again. Our waitress, the one I got, was great though. Her name was Ashley. She made the order right, except for the cold food. We waited long enough, didnt want to wait longer
Second time at this location in 2years and I shouldve continued to stay away. Slow had to leave seating because it was dirty, even though barely anyone in there.That made it worse due to the slow staff and just bad food. one out of 2 meals was returned due to spoiled sour etc.etc. it could stand to have a remodeling job.More staff better a chef 😒. Unlikely Id ever go back.
I wouldnt go back. I was there with my sister-in-law and our babies. The hostesses wasnt polite and insisted that we get highchairs so the waiter can have room to serve the food. First of all my son is 7 months old and he was sleeping in the stroller and my niece is a year and was napping as well. It was 1130 in the morning on a Friday. The restaurant was dead. They had plenty of tables and plenty of room to serve the food. Needless to say I did not wake up my son and put him in the dirty highchairs that they provided. On top of that the waiter was not friendly he served the table by us the wrong food and made a mistake on my order as well. Like I said it wasnt busy and he didnt come over once to check on us and when we asked for the check he took his time getting it for us.
If I could i would give it 0 stars. The waitress had an attitude with us but treated and checked on all the other tables. My friend asked for another water and she just kept walking and taking care of other tables. The food was dry. Definitely not worth the price. As it is we are sitting here for 15 minutes now with empty drink cups
I visited this location on 9/16, and sat with sue. It was late, probably after 1 am, but we were still expecting half way decent service. If I could give sue and her nasty attitude negative stars I would. We were freezing, and asked the host to turn off our fan, which she was happy to do. But after sue dropped off our food she proceeded up to the host stand and started yelling about the fan being turned off. When she returned at least 20 minutes later, apologized for her tantrum but went into detail about the sweat dripping down her face. 2 out of the 5 people in our party had an issue with our food but she never came by to ask how it was. Horrible horrible experience. Stay away!!!!
This was one of my favorite restaurants until tonight. Normally we have great service and great food! The food was cold coming out, they ran out of steak when it came to my order but yet another lady came in after me and they miraculously had steak.My husband ordered the loaded nachos... when the waiter bought out our food, the nachos wasn’t with the order. He stated “they have to defrost the meat”. Very backwards tonight!Also, there was NO tissue in the bathroom and took them almost 15-20 mins for them to acknowledge my request for tissue so we can use the bathroom!Tonight I asked to express my experience and the manager GIO was very nonchalant!I can’t see us going back to this location anytime soon!
Food is mediocre at best. Service at this particular place was ok. While our waiter was nice, he was not attentive and did not fulfill our request. We tried Dennys one other time years ago and were not impressed. I mean I know its a food chain and by any means my standards are not that high when it comes to food chains but this place is just so underwhelming. The only good thing is the variety of the kids menu. Wish other chain restaurants had their kid side selection variety (yogurt, a few different fruits, goldfish, mash, etc). Otherwise this should be our 2nd and final visit to any Dennys period.
5 stars because the food is great! We recommend the brisket grilled cheese! However, the place is mostly empty and you will wait about a half hour for your food. Wait staff was friendly, and accommodating. Just dont go there starving.......Update, restaurant is currently under new management. They will no longer accept digital coupons that are NOT printed out, like they had previously done. Also, coupon MUST have an actual expiration date (not just say for use in 2019).
I ordered the country fried steak yesterday on Uber Eats app and it said it came with 2 sides but there was no option that I saw so I got just the country fried steak and the bread. It tasted amazing so I decided to get it again today but this time with mashed potatoes and veggies. Again, no options on the Uber eats app so I called and spoke with a young lady at the Centereach Mall location. She was so helpful that when she saw my order go through she made sure I had my sides added. Annnnndddd, it tasted amazing!!
First and last time coming. Place was dirty, carpets a mess. Both my mother and I had 2 small bugs each on our arms throughout being here, lovely. Staff was loud in the back yelling and laughing like high schoolers. Mom had a fiesta skillet and it looked a mess, and I had a club sandwich which was fine, bread barely toasted. $35 later, one of the worst places weve been.
I came here with my parents to eat on Saturday,November 16th. Check time 2:22 PM. Claudia V was our server. We had many issues. First issue was that my mother never got a place mat. My mother order pancakes, but had to wait for at least 20 minutes to get butter and syrup. She asked to reheat the pancakes, which became rubbery after reheating. Claudia never came back to ask if my father wanted more coffee or If I wanted more water. Horrible service!
Today was not a good day at Denny’s. It was not crowded when we arrived at 2:00 pm nor did it get crowded. It took sometime for our Order to be taken because we were seated in an area that no waitress or waiter were working in at the time.Once we put or order in it took 40 minutes before we received our food. O utensils on the table. When I asked for utensils I was given them wet and was told that they had just come out of the dishwasher.Before our food arrived one of the waiters took the syrup off the table as he went to other tables and did the same stating he was going to fill them up.When our food arrives at 2:45 I asked for syrup and the same young man stated it should be on the table. I reminded him that he took it. Needless to say he returned with a half of bottle of syrup.I must say Inspite of all of that the food came nice and hot so I guess it was worth the wait.I go to this Denny’s often and was very surprised by this experience.The two managers on duty may be the problem. As I was paying my bill they were talking about vacations with one of the servers. One has never gone to Atlantic City because he likes the islands. They never asked home my meal was or the service I was so annoyed with them I paid and left. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR BY THESE 2 MANAGERS.
Food was ok. This restaurant is severely understaffed. Sat next to a table that was full of dirty dishes because there was no one bussing tables besides the wait staff that was busy taking orders and delivering food to tables. Our waiter looked like he had not washed his clothes all week. Place looks dirty and whoever is running this restaurant obviously has mentally checked out.
As we were being seated I noticed the floor was filled with dirt, tables werent clean. The hostess went to seat us and dropped silverware on the floor at our table didnt even pick it up. There was fluid on the table and also on the seats and she didnt even clean it up or try to seat us somewhere else. This place is disgusting, we didnt even stay we turned around and left. This place is unsanitary!!!!
A little dirty . Menus, tables, floors BATHROOM.. no soap , toilet paper and seat covers. Granted we came on a Sunday night at 11pm but there was servers just sitting and texting/ chilling. I heard one say she was there from 9 in the morning. So I get it!.. but certainly need someone to keep things sterile. Or least looking fresh. Otherwise food was dayummm good! Our server was sweet and did everything professionally
Service was the worst. Took them 3 times to bring toast that wasnt cold, then burnt and by then I was finished with my eggs. I only went there because the diner was packed. And I knew it was a mistake but didnt want to wait. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Always under staffed and seems like very inexperienced serversand the cashier was on another planet
Dennnys has gone down the tubes. I will not be going back. They were so short handed, the one server they had had no clue what he was doing. We ordered apps prior to our meal never received them. Twenty minutes just to get drink order. Never received sauces for apps or meals. Never received a check. Had to recite order at register. People were walking out. If there were a negative star rating I would rate them at -5 stars. The only reason I gave one star is because I couldnt enter post without entering something.
Food was ok, however staff is not. First and last time I will be eating there. I went there today which is a Monday for the first time and one of the ladies from the waiting staff which seemed to be the manager was super rude. She should learn how to treat customers politely. My family and I did not feel welcomed.
AVOID AVOID AVOID. We sat for an hour and a half with no food. When our appetizer finally came out it was ice cold. We wanted to send it back but our waitress was MIA. Our food finally comes and its all wrong. When I ask the waitress to take the food back and bring us our check because we no longer wanted it, she gets nasty! She tells me her manager is in the front. I went to the front spoke to the manager and told him I wasnt paying for anything. His response was ok as the waitress tried to make us pay for something we didnt eat. WORST experience. They need to close.
The food was OK now for the waitress she barely came to the table they werent even that busy I had to ask for silver ware and for the manager wow what a way to talk to people. I asked her about someone who worked there and she said ( if you know her you then you should know why she dont work here anymore ) wow what a crue. No way to talk to people in front of customers! Lost a customer !!!
The table was dirty, when we were seated the guy brushed the food off the table with his hands. My spoon had dried egg on it. It took 1/2 an hour to get my cold eggs, 45 minutes to get my second cup of coffee. I dont blame the waitress, it was just way understaffed. There were only two waitress working as far as we could see.
This was the worst experience Ive ever had at a Dennys! Waffles were like rubber had to return them to get pancakes. The cheeseburger was like alpo dog food! The check was for $55 for 3 breakfasts and a cheeseburger and it was all wrong,at the register miraculously the bill came down to $29 after speaking with the cashier! Never would go back! And the worst part is thePlace wasnt even half full and you couldnt even get good service or food!
The service was terrible. We were seated right away, our waitress, Shannon asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered 3 coffees. Then she took our order. After waiting 20 minutes, we still did not receive our coffee yet other people seated after us were being brought there coffee, juice, water. So I stopped asked another waitress about getting our coffee. She said she would take care of it. Finally we got our. Our breakfast was delivered same time, but part of my order was missing. Our waitress Shannon walked by and I called to her and she ignored. So I called over a hostess and told her what was going on. She brought out what was missing and offered 20% off our meal for the poor service we were receiving. But it didnt stop there, Shannon our waitress ignore us through our entire meal, did not ask us if we needed anything else or apologize for her poor service. Then when it came time to leave she threw the receipt on the table, didnt say a word and walked away. When we got to the checkout the cashier asked how everything was and I told her what happened, she then got a manager and I told her. Here I found out that this isnt the 1st time she has had complaints about Shannon the waitress in the Centereach Location. To top that off the girl wants to be a manager. Thats not going to happen until she can become a good waitress and over come her rudeness, take responsibility for her poor actions. They should have - 🌟, for times like this one.
Dennys in centerreach is a horrible restaurant... Me and my wife like to go out late nights. At 2 am theres almost no customers in Dennys but it took 10 minutes to get seated, even longer to take our order because the waitress was sitting at a table gossiping extremely loudly with her friends, and the food we received was expired, I give it zero stars if possible. Horrible place and horrible employees.
If this place had a little better service, it would always be packed. The prices are fair and the food is good, when they cook it right. But this place needs better service because its bad. Youre not lucky if toy go there and theres no wait... its because the service is really bad
They give you a free Grand Slam Breakfast on your Birthday! Its available all day long!I think that its a GREAT idea!Not many restaurants give out Happy Birthday Meals on the exact date of your birthday! Theres ample parking available right next to the restaurant. The parking lot is free. No valet parking service is availableThe lot is clean, well lit and properly marked.
I have been meaning to post this for weeks. However, I was still too emotional to do it. On September 14th my family and I stopped by after saying our final farewell to our beloved Lola..my beautiful shih tzu. We had spent the entire day at the crematory and we realized we needed a quick bite to eat before heading home. We are not from around the area NYC/NJ natives to be exact. So we found a Dennys. We were greeted by two really sweet young women and sat our party of 7 1/2. One by one they brought out our order. Made sure we were ok. I asked if they can fulfill one more request...a hard-boiled egg. No problem I placed the egg in front of an empty spot next to me...a spot where my Lolas little ashes were resting beside my lap. They staff kept making sure we had what we needed. Extremely attentive. When we left I explained to them that their kind and courteous demeanor meant so much especially on that day because of where we were. I explained who the egg was for. The manager then got teary eyed and felt my pain, so did another member of his staff. Needless to say we got to chatting. It felt nice to speak with total caring strangers who could relate. Thank you to the staff for making this sad day a memorable one with your efficiency and kindness. =)
Last time I was here was about 2 months after the grand opening and everything was terrible. I tried it again and came in around 7:30 am, the place was empty. We ordered breakfast with pancakes and when the food comes out he says they have no syrup so he brought extra butter instead. Never going back!
Went to eat there a few years ago and both the service and the food was great. On my most recent visit, I took my friend out for breakfast and aside from the polite servers and resonable prices, the food was horrible and a disappointment. The pancakes were uncooked and dough-y and the omelet wasnt cooked very well, sill oozing, overall a mess! Dont know what went wrong in between those years, but would never recommend that place again.
It is an American diner; not a high class bistro, steakhouse or osteria. So as far as giving it a rating for a diner....it truly deserves 5 stars. Good food, fast service & great prices. I was full & completely satisfied for less than $12. So yeah, I give 5 stars for Dennys.
When they first opened they were good, but in the last year and a half they have really gone down hill. I have been to Denny’s in states up and down the east coast and this one is by far the worst. They are slow in taking your order, slow in bringing your food and when they do bring it more often than not it is screwed up.
I’m listening to the manager yelling at the kitchen staff. It’s not their fault the store is understaffed. I wonder what’s it like when they’re busy? Our server is doing double duty taking orders and busing her own tables. Maybe management needs to step it up and hire more employees?
Not good😟 I had lunch there a week ago and it was bad. I ordered berry juice and received grapefruit juice. I also ordered cheese on my eggs and loaded hash browns and when my meal came out there was no cheese on my eggs and nothing on my hash browns. The person I was with ordered the chocolate and peanut butter pancakes , they looked really nice on the menu but when the waitress brought them out it looked nothing like the menu. There was so much peanut butter she could not eat it. And to top it all off our waitress never came back after she brought us our meals , she didnt come back to ask us if we needed anything or how our meal was. I had to find someone to ask for the check because she never came back. I used to love Dennys but this place left a bad taste in my mouth.
Walked out last night after 15 minutes of being seated and no waiter/waitress even acknowledging our existence. Place was empty, tables where Not cleaned of prior customers dishes. Walked out and all the staff must have been hiding in the back somewhere because no one was around to even complain to.Corporate needs to come in and shake things up..I have enjoyed plenty of Dennys throughout the country and find this one to be a disgrace
Where do I begin. Ok one the tables are dirty the table behind us was never cleaned (its been filled with the plates now for 30mins). Also the food took forever no it wasnt busy just poor service. Another thing was at one point our waiter power washed his car (not on break). Thats really all thats bad i will not be back here ever again.
Visted this location September 1st, 2017 at about 2pm. We were very disappointed with service by both our waitress and the manager.The order that my mother ordered that was suppose to be a wrap, ended up being two soft tacos with two pieces of chicken and cheese thrown onto it. It was also completely smothered in Siracha sauce.When my mother expressed her displeasure to the manager, he did not show any concern for the mishap, he did not apologize once (even when checking us out) and seemed annoyed at us for saying anything.The waitress was nice but her skills were poor. She did not give us utensils at fiest, she rarely came to check up on us, and she also never gave an apology.
Terrible service and terrible manager. I found a hair in my food and I ate maybe 30 percent of my steak.. the manager said I ate 80 and refused to give me a new one.. I only got a dollar off my steak.. waitress was on her phone every time I looked at her and was very rude. Her name was Shannon. She lied to me and told me the cooks wear hairnets when they only wear hats! They wear hats! What is a hat going to do!!
Horrible! I took my grandkids yesterday! I honestly felt sorry for the waitress. No bus boys so she had to clean off dirty tables which there was a lot of. The carpet was littered with food, napkins & silverware. When we got the silverware it looked dirty. My first cup of coffee was ice cold. When we did get our food, they forgot to bring our my husband’s toast. The walls of our booth looked slimy & just overall the place was nasty. My grandchildren even complained about the place being nasty. I will never set foot again in that place even with their 15% AARP discount! Get new management or just close that place up! Oh one more thing. In the ladies room, the floor was wet in between the stalls. Eww disgusting.
I love this place. 1st it is in a lovely neighborhood, centereach. It is in the center of everything. Malls, outlets not far, supermarkets, local butchers, walmarts, restaurants and much more. Dennys staff is always so polite. I always say this Dennys food rivals its competitors IHOP, but at a cheaper price and great service. You never wait more than 5 mins for a seat and food is always made fresh and carried out hot. Waiters or waitresses are always so pleasant. This place is under rated. I wish I could give them 10 stars. They make you feel so at home. Would never hesitate in recommending Dennys. You have got to come see for yourself.
Okay. So first, the soda’s had an odd taste, I chose sprite, which tasted like seltzer water with sugar, but I kept it toMyself, my wife got coke, which it tasted like the syrup in it was run out..Then came the food..my wife’s over easy eggs were over cooked, her grandmothers food was just awful, and my first burger came out burned beyond recognition..had to send it back, and the waitress who was named Lisa, seemed to have a problem with that..Fast forwarding to when I, just me, was finished and asked for take out boxes, the waitress assumed we were all done and didnt want desert, brought over the bill...rude..After bringing over 3 takeout boxes, she then proceeded to come over to our table and take the syrup, without asking and gave it to the table behind us...now mind you, my wife was still eating her eggs and hadn’t got to her pancakes..Then, after I boxed up my food, and was waiting for my wife to finish her food, the waitress came over to our table, took the third container and gave it to another table..Again. RUDE.Needless to say this was our second time eating at this establishment, and will most definitely, be our last.I do NOT! Recommend this place for anyone.
Dont listen to those 1 star idiots honestly. The only place I could find open at 4 am, its a perdectly fine diner. Dont usually like coffee but its good here. And its a diner, dont order Mexican food. Get some pancakes and hash browns and youll be happy. By the way, real hash browns instead of those McDonalds abominations are always appreciated.
My family and I eat dinner & breakfast there @ least 3-5 Xs a month that we can practically become stools @ Dennys.Our food is brought out @ fairly good time & warm depending on the day which should make any difference.Some fewer than other Food service specialisl demonstrate professionalism & common courteous. While the few that lack proper training should not be held accountable for the failures of supervisors & managers NOT doing their jobs.Ive witnessed staff during high customer traffic leave to go smoke & meet up with friends, boyfriends & girlfriends. Then picking up food to serve without properly washing or disaffecting hands..The obvious indiscriminat attitudes towards customers exhibited from the food service specialisl all the way to the top of Management is incredible.Without no oversight, suggestions or corrections of any sort.Ive been a customer/fan of EVERY SURVEY OF EVERY DENNYS RECEIPT since my first Dennys experience while stationed in San Diego CA 2000..And Ive been a fan & customer of this Dennys & franchise since Grand opening 8 yrs ago..Wouldnt want to see 1of my favorite dinning destinations keep on with its unsatisfactory under performances...Thank you
If i had a dog i would feed the leftovers we brought home to him, but i dont so ill just eat it myself out of pure despiration. Food was horrible, chicken strips were ok but club sandwiches were absolutely horrible as if it was government pakaged meat. Nachos and loaded fries were disgusting and they had no tots or the ice cream for the featured shake. Me and my girl were iffy considering how bad it was the first time and this just confirmed we will never visit this establishment in our lifetimes ever again.
Im not really a big fan of Dennys, but this one was alright. The staff were a little frantic, and the orders came out wrong but they were kind ,courteous, and respectful despite the inconvenience. I wouldnt recommend coming here in a large group, but with a smaller group. Obviously, they are known for their burgers, and breakfast, but if you are looking for a healthy meal, then I wouldnt list this place as my first pick.
Very good food. Breakfast, lunch or dinner and even late night. Prices are good but portions could be bigger. The $4 side of loaded hash browns was a small pile of hash browns with a little bit of cheese and onions on top. Far from what I would call loaded. A shot glass of coffee for 2.50? Im getting water next time. Overall good place for anytime.
I will never eat in this racist establishment. All over the country Dennys has been sued for violating the civil rights of blacks in this country. Im not sure how their still in business, but I wont be one to support them. If anyone thinks this is BS look it up for yourselves. Check mostly in the southern and Midwestern states. Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. And this is just a few.

The time i went i waited for 20 minutes to get my shake and it was warm the food came an hour later and the lady SAT in a booth with the family to order it was extremely unprofessional the food was cold this place needs to shut down its not the same as it use to be. it needs to be shut down or a new manager needs to be in place because this place sucks!
Worst place ever the servers are nasty slow it took for ever to get out food they let customers with dogs in that dog was smelling like he havent seen a shower in his life. Finally we got out food we didnt have utensils not napkins no straws for the drinks and she was bringing one by one oooooh my god it took for ever for us to finally eat that nasty food. **NEVER IN MY LIFE I WILL BE GOING BACK THEY SHOULD GO OUT OF BUSINESS**
The service was soooooo bad. It took 45 mins to get a server at our table. We had to literally beg for a waiter to come. A table next to us just walked off and the restaurant staff just didnt care. Its such a pity that a restaurant in such a good location is taking their business for granted. Would never stop foot in this place again.
Anthony are server was packed with tables. The tables are not getting cleaned up quick enough. As we were paying the other waitress took his tip and pocket it. To me thats rude. She put it in her pocket when she didnt serve us. Anthony the waiter didnt want to say something but my husband went and complained. To me thats rude. Stealing from your co-workers
Wow. I love this place. I have eaten at literally hundreds of Dennys restaurants, and this is easily one of the best. I have never been disappointed by this location. They are consistently excellent. And the menu, already amazing, keeps getting better and better! Yummmers!
It was horrible cold food , had to ask for tea bag they only gave me hot water, she wrote our order on a napkin couldnt even get a second cup of coffee for my husband ,and the coffee was horrible .we had to ask for the check we have the worst one in the country. Never going back
We visited here with our family. Chris was our host/waiter. He was super friendly and funny..our kids loved him. Chris told us to come back on Halloween for costume contests and giveaways..Chris said he would be dressed up as an egg. An egg serving eggs he said! We came back on Halloween and sure enough there he was dressed as an egg with his side kick bacon. I cant say enough about Chris! My kids cant wait to come back for some good food and service thanks to Chris!
Somewhat clean , friendly staff but I did notice manager tracy needs a learning orientation on how she speaks to her staff her facial expressions tell it all although I did confront her and she is in denial its inappropriate in front of customers otherwise our waitress mary was wonderful!
I disregarded all the bad reviews and ordered breakfast take out at this location in Centereach, worst idea ever. Service over the phone was horrible, I couldnt imagine what it would have been like if I were actually eating in. Dont waste your time and money as I did. I wouldnt go back even if it were the only place open.
Aweful aweful service, was sitting for ten minutes not even a hello or Ill be right with you from the server... plus this place is starting to fall a apart and stinks bad now... torn seats, damaged dirty floors...ick...can only imagine what their kitchen looks like...when we abrulty left the staff didnt seem like they had a care or question in the world....what happened to this place??.... go spend money at ihop...

This place is a dump on sorry thats insulting to the dump ive been to a few Dennys before and always loved the food but this place needs management to come in and take over the food sucks the wait staff is nasty and rude the place is filthy dont waste your time or your money if you do go get a shot from your Doctor first !!!
My food didnt come out complet frost my eggs after I was done then my toast came I order coffee finished it they never checked if I wanted a refill my kids finished there drinks before there food came and not once they asked if we wanted a refill my son waited so long for wiped cream for his pancake he gave up on eating I will never come back

2022-04-14Cant say enough good things about this place It has a old fashion feel. Like a country diner in the middle of West Virginia. Not fancy at all. However, its clean and you barely have to wait to be seated. Food comes our reasonably fast. The food is delicious by the way. Just as good as its competitor Staff is always friendly and welcoming. They make you feel so welcomed. I spend about $60 for a family of four. Its very affordable. Love this place. Been going their since 2012 will continue. Its become one of our family favorite places to go. If you are in the area, please stop by. You will find that they exceed your expectations...

2022-03-19I Have not been to Denny’s in years so I decided to go. It was fantastic! The food was hot and fresh and the service was great. The staff was super friendly. It was spotless too! The cinnamon roll pancakes were the best. I love this Denny’s!

2021-12-28Theres currently a mask mandate in new york. That is why I have to rate this place so low. The food is great, and the service is great, but there is a sign on the door saying that a mask is required to enter the premises.I was there for dessert tonight(and dinner another night) and when I entered, not a single member of the staff had a mask on. They dont enforce the masks, even though they have a sign up. We did not feel safe.

2021-10-26Went here for breakfast with my husband. The service was good, everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food was very good and the bathroom was clean. The reason for four stars and not five-we each had one cup of coffee, which was never refilled, nor was there an offer to refill it. Each cup cost $3.50. It was a regular size mug, nothing special, not oversized or anything. I know that prices have gone up but that seemed a bit outrageous. In total, we paid close to $40 (before tip) for breakfast for two. Sorry to say, we wont be going back. For us, it was just a little too pricey for coffee and pancakes.

Not driving 30 minutes back just for toast but cmon cant even get a refund either.Update: just ordered yesterday, and they forgot my salad too. Asked to speak with a manager and was told there wasnt one in at all that day, and would receive a call back. I didnt receive a call back and cannot get a refund

2022-02-27The place was clean and the prices were fair, but lets focus on the staff. They were kind, patient, and amazing even though they were under blatant stress with over two dozen people suddenly showing up! The staff service alone was reason enough to go because of how friendly they are

Must have new management staff seemed more caring in past visits and service was about 90% better before as wellget better do better care better make rhe experience better !!!
