Traci was friendly and informative. The work was done quickly and the waiting area was comfortable. Using my rewards brought the cost down to an acceptable level. I also find them very woman friendly and respectful, unlike some dealerships. What more could you ask for?
If you need to buy a car this is the place to go! They are so friendly and helpful! Mike Medeiros is is the guy to see there even on his day off He kept me well informed with everything they were doing with my car and broke everything down! I would not go anywhere else but here to buy a car. I will tell anyone and everyone that is looking for a new car to go to here! Everyone that i came into contact with has been absolutely wonderful!
They are good at fixing your car no question. Sales is another story. As soon as you buy it’s like they throw you out of the store. If you don’t get upset about them rushing your decision. If you ask about a car they hound you. Not a fan of the sales department. But if you need your car worked on they are really good.
My car was there a week ago for oil change and tire rotation- then exactly a week later my battery died and I had to have it towed there. Why isnt battery check up part of that maintenance? And it took from Monday at 11am when we dropped off my dead car u til Tuesday at 5pm to get my car looked at and battery changed. I had to rent a car and you VERY good and professional service guy helped me set it up. His name was Chuck
This dealership was Very professional and helpful. I had the pleasure of working with Marc Murphy and he went above and beyond to make it an easy and smooth process. I would highly recommend this dealership and To meet with Marc if you are looking for a car- he is truly awesome!
Brought in a van for check engine light issues and maintenance, all problems resolved plus they ensured I drove away safely -- a leak nobody else noticed was found, and much damage was prevented. They worked with me to get things done on a tight schedule. And when something unrelated gave out as I drove away, they immediately brought me back in and had it fixed the next morning. Very happy to have my van back and very confident in its reliability again.
Very Good experience from Nick our salesman who show Great skills with his knowledge and very personable he is a true professional. Jackie was Great explaining all the controls on the Equinox. The vehicle was delivered on time We could not be happier.I Would Highly Recommend Depaula Chevrolet
I was kept informed of the complex process of replacing my Bolt battery. I realize how invasive this process is and was delighted to find no trace of all the work that was. With the exception of the fine performance of the new battery. I put it on my L2 charger at home that night, finally without hilltop reserve and got 281 miles range.
I had to have my car repaired due to an engine light coming in. The representative called me and told me what the issues were and specifically told me that all repairs would be covered by GMs warranty. I spoke to the same representative twice and that was confirmed both times. When I picked up my vehicle I was told that the total was well over $600. As you can imagine, I was floored. I explained to the same representative that I was told that it was all covered. He looked it up in your system and showed me that is was, in fact, not covered. With a slight discount and a free oil change was still stuck with almost $500 in costs. I paid it, only because I desperately needed my vehicle. Isnt it customary for you to give the customer a quote for repairs BEFORE the work is done? I was never given a price, making me further believe that it was covered. Needless to say I was very unsatisfied.
Came in for a FREE routine 5000 mile service and check engine light came on. I was informed it was an O2 sensor that was needed to be replaced and it would cost $477. I agreed to the service because I was informed if it wasnt fixed it could cause damages to the catalytic converter which would be well over $1000 to repair. 2 weeks later and my check engine light is back on while Im out $500
I just drove home my new metallic blue all electric Chevy Bolt from DePaula Chevrolet. I am very happy with the car and with my experience at DePaulas. Buying a car can be nerve racking, but this sale went very smoothly. My salesman Matt was patient with all my questions and very responsive to my calls. The car came in within the period expected and everything was ready at the pickup. Im excited about my new adventure with an electric car!
Emergency/safety issue arose, and despite being a new customer, they told me to bring it in right away. The issue was fixed under a factory recall, but other issues were discovered that needed immediate attention. Nothing like a good check-up by a factory certified technician. Would recommend and return in the future.
I called for pricing on new set of tires. I explained I wad interested in an average set of tires nothing like 65000 mile tire but still wanted something to carry me by for another 18 months. DePaula gave me a great price, got me in the same day I called, plus provided me with an NYS inspection, filled my windshield washer fluid, provided vehicle alinement, washed it and got me out of there in under 2 hours. Great job, thanks Jeff.
Service Department is the best. Your detail department is highway robbery. $119.00 for a wipe down of my cadillac. Did not thoroughly vacuum had to send it back. Fir what was done, I could have gone to Hoffman Car Wash and saved a lot. Their charge for what was done is $39.95. Thanks thats where I will have my car detailed moving forward.RegardsFeeling Robbed
Every time I set an appointment and have work done on my vehicle there is always a problem. Also when I found out about a warranty they did not put me under when I had got my second vehicle to cover for servicing. They complete skipped over it and tried to lie and say I told them no but why would I for 2 vehicles. I would save a lot of money with that warranty and they would charge me more to obtain it. Last time they tried to charge me over $700 worth of work that did not need to be done on one of my cars, another time they lose my lug nut lock key to take my wheels off. I feel as if they are overcharging and unprofessional when it comes to vehicles period. They try to make it seem like your fault when they are in the wrong
Staff friendly as usual. Got detailing services for first time and will probably be last time. Found sap or something on tailgate and had to wait for someone to clean it off. Found little more on bumper even though was supposed to be waxed. In the light I found a couple of spots on a seat that were still there. And left a message for manager to call me regarding a missing item and still waiting for call back five days later.
The salesman, Nasir Majid, was very helpful in explaining all the options we had. He was exceptional in making us feel comfortable even sharing some personal family events with us. I was surprised that we were able to trade in our old car and drive home in our new one in the same day! This is the third car we purchased from DePula and the first new one! You guys really have your act together. I hope you continue to serve our community. I am happy to be part of the DePaula ‘family’ 😀.
Have been dealing with this dealership for three years now. The third brake light has already been replaced once and now here we are again. Headliner is stained from water soaking into it. Multiple texts and calls to who fixed it last year and multiple emails to managers. All with no return to get this done right. So here I am leaving a review that will hopefully get someone’s attention there. Multiple calls and texts still no answers for a truck full of water. Thanks
I brought my car to DePaulas Collison center after it was damaged by ice falling off a passing vehicle on the Northway. I picked it up today and it looks better than it did before the incident. Body shop manager James Craig and his team are great to work with and the body work and paint are top notch. This is my first dealing with DePaula and they have a new customer.
This was the WORST dealership I’ve ever needed to deal with. Back in January my husband went in to get a trade in value on his truck. He already hit one at DeNooyer and chose a truck but went to DePaula to see if he could get a better deal. They give him a better deal and tells him the truck is set for transit and will be there in 10 days. Two weeks later there’s no truck. He calls and is told it’s taking a little longer it’ll be there within another week. We wait another 2 weeks then he calls them while I call the main Chevy to get answers from the factory in Michigan. Dealership tells him it’s coming, Chevy tells me it’s not ready. This continues for 3 1/2 months. In the meantime you can’t find a 2500HD anywhere seeing we told DeNooyer no on theirs. When I called DePaula and asked why he was told 10 days the sales manager said he never was even though he’s on a recorded line saying so through our bank because they had him call to get the loan. So his credit ended up getting hit 2x and dropped his score bc they had him get pre approved for a truck that wasn’t coming in anytime soon. The day before handing them the check for the truck I called to get documents I needed for my insurance company and 2 days later still no call back.Update: Still no call back for the paperwork. Also, people leaving 5 star reviews after bad reviews are friends of employees that works for the dealership
Depaula Chevrolet is awesome! They helped me pick and purchase a truck to fulfill my needs. All concerns were addressed and handled properly. I couldnt be happier! The staff was so helpful and patient. I would definitely recommend Depaula Chevrolet if youre looking for a vehicle to purchase!
If I could give zero stars I would! Do not bring your vehicle to this dealer unless you want your car wrecked! I brought my car that I had purchased from this dealer in for a routine oil change and waited over 2 hours. The guy comes back and Im thinking okay finally my car is ready but nope, come to find out the person driving my car to the front that works there ran into a parked truck in the shop. The worker must have been driving very fast because there was a lot of damage to my car. They had to replace the entire front side of my car to which I needed a rental to take home. They give me a rental car that was dirty on the inside and had a huge DePaula sticker on the back windshield to which I could not see out the window at all which was a danger to me driving. I complained to them about this and took off the sticker. Then 3 weeks later they fix the car and my tire moniter stops working. I told them there was nothing wrong with it until they ran into my car and refused to replace it for free. The absolute worst service I have ever received, the management is unprofessional and rude. I honestly never thought I would ever have this type of issue at a dealership but never will I come back here.
At just1500 miles my 2022 Trailblazers warning lights and messages urged SERVICE ENGINE WITHIN 7 DAYS. I was unprepared for the FOUR-HOUR wait while mechanics searched for a loose wire. I was told that just the day before another 2022 Trailblazer, with 4000 miles, was in for the same reason. I hope this is brought to the attention of the Chevy factory assembly team - or the designers. Heres what I just found online:The 2022 Chevy Trailblazer is a smaller crossover model designed to keep the budget in check. The automaker claims it is a small SUV with big horizons, but the only big thing customers are seeing is malfunctions. It seems to be dealing with a faulty engine, cheaply-made structure and defective vehicle speed control.I love driving the car, but Im not terribly happy with my experience or this report.
This rating is directly towards service dept...every year I schedule a nys inspection since its free from where I got my vehicle from...I always schedule a appointment and show up on time , early even. I takes an hour and a half just to start looking at my vehicle...always get told the wait will be about 1 hour total....it takes almost 2.5 -3 hours for everything to be finished. And they know Im waiting upfront and have somewhere to be. 3 hours for a nys Inspection..smh
We traveled a total of eighty miles to look at 16 , 2022 Chevy Equinox LT. ( According to Depaulas website. Jessica set up an 11:00am appointment for us to drive an Equinox LT this morning. She called me again this morning to CONFIRM our appointment. We arrived at 10:50 am and were introduced to a very pleasant sales person who immediately made us aware that they not only DID NOT HAVE 16 EQUINOX LTS BUT DIDNT Have any Equinoxes at all. I dont get angry easily, however we will not be doing any business with Depaulas at all. Then we drove about 40 miles back home. Gas costs over $4.25 per gallon . Not happy at all with Depaulas business practices. BEWARE !!!
This was the best EVER car purchase! We have bought many cars in my years and the pick-up was so smooth. As soon as Allison got done with us Jackie jumped in her seat to do her part very well as did Allison. Next Jay took care of the finances and we were DONE. Depaula Chevrolet has a very well oiled machine. They took the time to explain everything about the car before we left. Also wanted to thank Geoff for putting this deal together. Thanks again to everyone at Depaula Chevrolet!!
I made an appointment for 9am yesterday (1/20/22). My husband and I both took the day off from work. My car has a special extended coverage for a PCV Valve issue. I told the lady on the phone when I made the appointment that I was driving 1.5 hours (one way) to come for service and would be waiting for my car. I asked if the parts would be in stock to complete this while I waited and I was assured that it would be no problem because they are a large dealership and should be able to take care of this for me. I got to Depaula at 8:55 for my 9am appointment and was told that they had several people drop off their vehicles ahead of me and that they wouldnt get my car in until later this afternoon like 2 or so. What was the point of me making appointment for 9 am if you are just going to let people drop off vehicles and bump the people who made appointments. I explained to the service gentlemen what was discussed on the phone with the lady who made the appointment. Then I was told that it would be over $300 for labor to put this part on. According to the paper I received from GM I shouldnt have had to pay for anything. In the end we had to purchase the part ourselves (which was suppose to be warrantied) and know have to put it on also. Service has gotten really bad at Depaula. This is the first vehicle that I purchased from them and it will be the last if this is how they treat customers who make an appointment for service.
I was so impressed with my experience. Alana is so sweet and Nick. I am very happy that I found a place to continue getting my car serviced. I feel confident that DePaula will continue excellent service.Allison, Alana and the guys in the garage are impressive.Loved the video as well.Im definitely coming back for every service that I will need in the future.Thank you Depaula
What a complete waste of my time. I got conned into coming in to get my car trade in value (which was a laughable offer compared to other offers we got) from filling something out on their website citing “get your trade in value quick”. I figured it was a good place to start looking and I had heard good things. We really didn’t know what we wanted or if we wanted to buy or lease. We have a new born so not a lot of time to research. We wanted to see what was out there. From the beginning the sales guy was pushing an equinox, all but refuses to show me anything else. Did not help me explore my options because he was set on selling me a car they loan out to people when they come in to get their cars fixed for a measly $500 off. The car he brought up was twice my budget. His manager finally came out after much back and forth to try and force this sale even though we were resisting. He was obnoxious and rude, laughed and said well you aren’t going to find a new car in that price range. I WAS LOOKING AT WHAT OPTIONS I HAD WITHIN MY PRICE RANGE!! The sale guys reached out a few days later and said “I hope we didn’t offend you” well you offended me, wasted our time and disrespected us. We were there so long we finally had to excuse ourselves to feed our baby. I can say with absolute certainty I will not be back, It was a really overwhelming experience. It was not until after I left that I realized he wasn’t even giving me leasing options because he was so set on selling and hounding us into this sale.
Had a NYS inspection done, oil change, and tire rotation. Came home and the diagnostics reported low engine oil. Next to no oil was in the engine. Dipstick showed no oil at all.Depaula offered and did tow back the suburban to run diags and install oil.Not impressed with the drama this caused and the risk of damaging our beautiful Chevy Suburban. We had bought this awesome vehicle from them, and at the time, had felt it would be appropriate and safe to continue our relationship with Depaula. We no longer have comfort in doing such.
My car electric system was malfunctioning so brought it to drop off for the dealership to work on at their convenience. Initially I was told we could probably get a diagnostic within the week but working on it might be a bit later as they were scheduling appointments a month out. While I was completely fine with this, I was then very pleasantly surprised to hear from the tech the very next day. He stayed in touch every day, was able to complete the diagnostic in only a couple days, and within the week has it all squared up for me. Amazing service and even better customer care.
Traveling across the country, I needed my own oil changed and a light on my truck fixed. DePaula Chevrolet took care of it quickly, with no hassles. Its nice that they open early so that I could get in and out quickly. Everything was done professionally and, though no one likes to pay for car repair, the price was fair. I will come here again the next time I am passing through the Albany area.
Bought a pre-owned Maserati from Paolo via the internet. We traveled from Louisville, KY to Albany based on the information and description from Paolo. The car was as described and better than we had hoped. All emails and phone conversations were cordial and professional. An excellent experience.
Still terrific service. After a decade (for me, longer for him) my service coordinator moved on. I still have had nothing but top notch very communicative service. This week Terri went above and beyond to make a new connection with me and double checked with the service tech to be sure my concerns were addressed and we were road ready for our trip. It is no small thing to have that kind of piece of mind when the safety of your family is involved. Thank you!
Great visit today. I brought my car in for an oil change and my service person, Jeremy, noticed I needed to get my car inspected next month. He was able to inspect my car today. Thank you for saving an added trip to the dealer next month (2weeks away). The only thing I found frustrating was they recommended a front end alignment and that was not included in my extended maintenance agreement.
This place is definently a great choice for buying a vehicle!!!! I already had a deal lined up elsewhere but decided to just stop by and take a look arround, George DeJesus was a great agent to work with. I am definitely getting my next car for my wife here 100%. Only through George tho, he took the time to give me a great deal better then expected and a extended warranty on nice chevy cruze. Even though my credit was in the low 500s, he really made the deal happen and me and wife was happy and stress free because buying a car could be very stressful... Cleaned and washed car for me, filled gas tank and got my new NY white plates😎. Overall the whole place was nice clean and felt safe with everyone wearing mask and they provide mask and hand sanitizer upon entry..this Is the 5th car Ive purchased and my best experience soooo.. Go Chevy at Dapala‼
This was probably the most stress free easiest experience I’ve had when at a dealership. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. Jose went above and beyond to make sure I went home with my new car the same day! Definitely will be back in the future.
I was extremely happy with the professional atmosphere that I experienced with every employee. My salesman was excellent, I told him what I wanted and he took his time to show me the options that were available in each vehicle. This is my third vehicle purchased at DePaula, and I will be back to purchase more. JohnHenry P did a remarkable job and I would highly recommend him to my family and friends.
Called inquiring about the $155.00 lease on the Traverse. Casey informed me she could put me into one within a week or so. Drove from Saratoga Springs to Albany just to be told by Randy one of the managers who told me that it would take significantly more money down and that he could not do it at the $155.00 rate. This is the second time Ive been lied to by DePaula and I will never do business with DePaula ever. Im filing a complaint with the NYS Attorney General for false advertising. Buyers BEWARE! Update 6/8/22: Owner must still be looking into the detailed events because I never heard from them!
My first new car purchase experience. Very grateful for the help Ryan Farnan gave me. Hes be available to take my calls whenever I have a questions even now, 2 years later. DePaula service is leaps and bounds above its competition in both quality and customer service. Looking forward to my next car purchase in a few years!
I want to Thank DePaula Chevrolet & Dan Pakatar For helping me making the transition from my 2017 Silverado to a new Equinox. My body was finding it harder to climb into the truck but my heart still loved it. Thank you for making it an easy transition even on your crazy trade in sale day! 😁
I bought my car from the used DePaula Chevy dealership the sales team was good my only issues was the poor management and how long the sale process took. I wasn’t taken seriously and was basically put to the side a few times. Had a few complications even after buying the car but I did get a good deal and the manager and salesman were straight forward and honest. Will I buy a car here again though probably not.
DePaula Chevrolet did a great job on making sure that I was taken care of. They gave me a courtesy vehicle right from the start before they even knew if there was something wrong with my vehicle so that I did not have to wait. I really appreciated that they were mindful of my time. Alex Haynes did a fantastic job communicating with me, and helping me follow along in the process of getting my vehicle repaired. The iService module was very high tech and allowed me to see what was going on with my vehicle, and what they were going to be doing. Alex Haynes was extremely polite, professional, and dependable during this process. All of the services were covered under warranty as well.
Check in was easy. Jeff in the service department was professional, friendly and very helpful. The vehicle was done in the time promised. The young lady at the check out was awesome. I wanted to use some of the points I had accumulated and she walked me thru it. I am not that great using the app. She was extremely patient and helpful.
Had a check engine light go on.. was able to schedule an appointment but not for 3 weeks from the date. Had to drive car stressed hoping whatever the issue was, wouldnt cause more issues. When the final day came to bring the car in, brought it in early so it was first of the morning drop offs. Didnt hear anything all day till about 3:30pm when I called from work to find out they never even looked at the car and wanted to keep it overnight. If you have to make a car appointment for a check engine light and cant even get it into the shop for almost 3 weeks and then find out that the car wasnt even checked on the day of the appointment, it isnt good. I then found out the part was like a $2 part and the labor was like $175 bucks alone.
My experience at DePaula Chevrolet was Amazing they provided excellent service. I was very happy with my transaction of the 2021 Chevy Trax. AWD. Chris gave a tour of the place and explained the services they do . I liked the way after I was sold the car Jackie even explained how all the new safety features and controls worked and connected my phone and the on star and explained how to reward yourself with reward points you can spend like cash which is a great incentive. I want to thank the service team and I am sure I will get my next lease there.
The service at DePaula (Dario and Aram) was excellent. The staff is very professional, helpful and courteous. I had gone to a different dealership and stood around in the showroom for over 10 minutes and nobody even acknowledged that I was there, despite 20+ employees walking all over the place. Less than one minute after I walked into DePaula, somebody came right up to greet me and see if I needed any help. There was no pressure, just good discussion about options, and the whole selling process was smooth and easy (quick also, which I appreciate). I had thought customer service was extinct in the modern business world, but DePaula was amazing in every respect. That is exactly how you earn peoples continued business, and plan to be shopping at DePaula going forward.Shane Brunell
I called DePaula and spoke with a lovely young lady who promptly transferred me, and to the correct department. I found with covid pandemic thats become more rare! I asked a couple questions and received great, polite and accurate information. Jerry provided great advice, was knowledgeable whilst being humorous. What a great combination, thanks for the pleasant experience
I purchased my 2017 Gmc Arcadia from DePaula in August 2020. I took my vehicle to DePaula for my oil changes on time. I just brought my vehicle in on March 2022 for a routine oil change, just last week my check engine light came on so I called to get an appointment. When I took my car in for the appointment and come to find out I need 2000.00 worth of work. My services salesman (Rob Jansen) stated that he will call the warranty company to see what can be done but I was over by 1,000 miles. For 1 of the 2 things that need to be fixed in my car I believe it could have been detected back in March??? Of course cause I am a women just tell me anything. They had my car since last week. Rob told me that he would get me a loner car but when I went to check on my car on Friday cause Rob never called me back after he told me the price of what needed to be fixed. When I arrived Rob was gone and I wasnt able to get a loner car. I was without a car for a 6 days. Why state that to your customer if you are not going to honor this. I dont feel like a valued customer.
Very quick, pleasant transaction - salesman was great. I waited for the last minute on surrendering my lease due to a divorce situation (took the entire 3 years of my lease term right down to the last few days, insert eye rolls...lots of them). DePaula had the Traverse I wanted in stock and ready to sell. They were looking for a used vehicle as well, which totally was a win-win for us both. Figures matched with what I wanted to spend, sales transaction was quick and easy.
Dealer staff paid no attention to me being in the service area. We waited over 10 minutes and nobody even asked me why I was there. Even after we delivered the car a day early for our appointment, dealer staff told us they could not locate our vehicle and when they finally did find it, they told us they didnt have the time to do the services in which the appointment was made. Very very unacceptable and therefore my family will not be returning to depaula for any reason, especially service.
I’m beyond annoyed with this dealership. I brought my Chevy implala car for repair on Monday Morning because it won’t turn on. I had an appointment. The key fob is broken due to people trying to steal my car and/or battery is dead. It was towed in. The person said it will be inspected on Tuesday afternoon because the previous car has a long job. Our car was next. I called on Tuesday afternoon for an update. They said that they will see it on Wednesday morning. I waited until Wednesday morning before noon and no one called, so I called again. When I called I spoke to the person in charge of repair, they said it was in the rack getting inspected. They went to see if the inspection is done, so I was placed on hold. I waited for 15 minutes. They hung up on me. I called back the receptionist said the person in charge for my repair is in another phone call and will call me back. I provided my number. Two hours later still no update. I called and left a message with the receptionist again because the person was busy. They called me back. They lied to me that it was getting inspected. It wasn’t even looked at. They lied to me that they tried call me and couldn’t leave a voicemail. My phone can and has. They said hopefully the word hopefully my car will get be seemed Thursday morning. 4 days in a dealership with an appointment. Horrible place. Long wait. They can’t keep their word. If they can’t do a job by a time frame said it in the beginning. Don’t say something and can’t do it. Keep your word. Dont lie. Don’t keep our hopes up.I have no other car. We use the car for work and take my baby to daycare. I walk to work now, and paying for daycare for a week when my son can’t be there. I thought he would miss two day, now 4 days and even perhaps the whole week. Just to get a key fob checked and battery check for repairs.
I took my Trax to DePaula Chevrolet this week for service, this is my first experience ever with DePaula and I am impressed! They made the entire experience pleasant & seamless. I appreciate how friendly & organized everyone was – communication was great! My check engine light was on and the service department was able to schedule me right away & complete the work. I will definitely be going back to DePaula, not only for service but to purchase vehicles in the future.
The only good experience of my visit was having Alex Haynes as my service provider. I’ll admit I was quite a frustrated customer because of prior faulty information that lead to me having to adjust my appointment and take out a last minute expense. However, Alex was very understanding, respectful, rapid and on top of making sure I was aware of everything going on and done to my vehicle. Additionally, he helped to figure the misleading information issue and we all ended the day with satisfaction on our ends. Thank you again, Alex!
I was not happy with how hard it was to change the scheduling of my first service after buying a certified pre owned vehicle. My experience with the service counter was excellent. The things about the service I was unhappy about was the video that was sent was not helpful. The person speaking could hardly be heard. They really need to speak up and speak clearly when doing the video. Also, the tire pressure was not checked. The passenger rear tire was 7 pounds under pressure and none of the other ones were at the required pressure although they were close. It appeared to me that the service person must have been in a hurry and did not do a through job. Hopefully nothing else was missed.
Brought my Silverado 1500 in on 9/10/2021 at 9:45 a.m. I was greeted immediately. My truck was taken into service shortly after check in. Service was thorough and efficient, and the video review was informative. Everyone at DePaula is pleasant and professional. I could not have asked for more.
I have always had good luck purchasing a car from DePaula. However, there have been some rough patches along the way with DePaulas servicing our cars. My husband and I had an uphill battle with DePaula for over a year regarding our Equinoxs engine. The engine was recalled by GM and DePaula gave us a hard time about replacing the engine. After a year of battling with the service department, DePaula finally agreed to rebuild our engine which thankfully was covered by our extended warranty. Also, this last visit was supposed to be just an oil change and ended up being a $450.00 appointment. DePaula tried talking me into other things being done to our vehicle and finally had to say no. I think the service department tries to get customers to purchase other services (which really arent needed) just to make more money. I am sure they arent the only dealership that pulls this nonsense. That is why my husband and I prefer to go to our own personal mechanic instead of the dealership. The people are cordial, but stop trying to push other services that arent needed.
All the staff I interacted with were just amazing people. They are happy people at DePaula. My special bond was with Anthony and Jackie, I love their customer relationship and how they ensure you feel good while explaining all needed to be known. I will always recommend and spread my stories with all my friends and family
UPDATE: Bought a car there that has had a coolant issue from the beginning.(under 3k of driving it). 4th time in for the same issue. Car has been in repair now for almost a month. Im out already $1900 for a rental car as they wont give me a loaner. Couple of more days I will be without a car all together As i cant afford $500 a week for a rental as well as payments on this car. I wont probably have a job soon as i cant get to it.. Was told to call GM for a loaner car in a rude manor. Was also told i could trade it in but they wouldnt give me what they sold it to me for. Seems to be after the sale they dont seem to care anymore. Worse nightmare of my life recently. Only reason im not paying for repairs on top of it all is i paid $2400 for extra warranty.
This was my first stop in my car shopping experience. Talk about the perfect salesman, Naz was fantastic. No pressure, showed me what I asked for. Explained all the other options for vehicles. No sales pitch, even recommended what other types of vehicles to compare through the classes with each other. After driving 7 other cars, and getting a decent offer from another location, Naz beat it.The pick up of the vehicle was excellent, they really walk you through everything and make sure you are 100% satisfied before you leave.Jackie walked me through all the bells and whistles of the car. Beware of her jokes, they come non stop but keep the mod light.Tyler explained all the financing and answered all my questions reg as regarding that as well.100% recommend this dealership and look forward to a long relationship here.
Dewin At DePaula Pre-Owned was super helpful when it came to purchasing my car. He helped me find a budget that I could afford which made my life super easy and stress free. My parents actually sent me to him because theyve dealt with him as well purchasing their car. He is highly recommended! Cant thank him enough!
Ive had nothing but great service from the sales folks here, and Ive bought my last three cars here, but when it comes to the service department, if zero stars were an option thats where I would be... My last few visits for service here have been a comedy of errors. It was aggravating when they left me in the waiting room for 8 hours for an oil change on my Equinox because they thought I was leaving it overnight, which is obviously why I got there at 7:30 am. My bad for saying I was running to the diner to get breakfast. It was aggravating when they lost my wifes car on the lot for three days when she had it towed there because of a recall that just made it stop on Rt 7 in rush hour with a engine not available error. It was aggravating when my Bolt was limited to 80% range for a year, and nobody seemed to know what the fix would be... Each recall canceled out the prior one.It was aggravating when I called to schedule the recall battery replacement and was told that the person who handled it was at lunch, and they would call me back. They never did. I called back again, they were at lunch again. What got me today was when I arrived for the recall service, and the loaner car that is part of the recall, that I verified when making the appointment would be available doesnt exist because they sold the loaner fleet last year when they could make a premium on it because of vehicle scarcity. I was told that I should have known, and to just wait for the rental car place across the street to open and rent a car, then I could negotiate reimbursement through GM. Had I known that I would have made arrangements, but had to abandon my appointment that Ive been waiting months for, since life doesnt stop when my defective car needs service, nor did I have someone to come pick me up and drive me around for two days. The real kicker was when the service department called me to scold me for missing my appointment, and basically call me a liar or delusional for saying that I was told that there would be a loaner available by the person who scheduled my service. They claim that nobody in the service department had seen the recall, which I find hard to believe, national recalls are kind of a big deal, especially considering that its around cars starting on fire. However, since nobody had ever seen it, they had no idea it said that transportation would be provided, so I was told that I would need to get approval directly from GM for it to be arranged... Seems iffy at best, but hey, I love paying out of pocket for things, and then having to hope that I get reimbursed at some point in the future. To make a long story short, if you have nothing but time on your hands, and your chauffeur isnt on holiday for December, then the service department here will fill your needs, otherwise, my recommendation is to find someplace else for maintenance.
The sales team at DePaula was absolutely amazing! Our sales representative Zachary was kind, sincere and extremely helpful. We left with my dream car and I was overly excited! The sales team made buying a car a great experience! The service team however was disappointing and difficult to work with. Within our 60 days of purchase our car did have a malfunction and the service team refused to fix it. We live an hour away and we’re told it was not a safety issue and we would have to contact Nissan. When we contacted Nissan we were told it was in fact a pretty significant safety concern and at any time our breaks could lock in! Our car is unsafe to drive until it can be repaired! So BEWARE! Make sure you really inspect the car before purchase because if there is an repair needed you may not get it covered.
Excellent service! I was looking for a Chevy Trail Boss and Andre took the time to find one that was already shipped. I had to put money down on a truck unseen. But when the rebates changed two weeks later they stuck by the agreement we had. I shopped around and they got me the truck I wanted in two weeks not 12.. Its my first new vehicle and I will certainly recommend anyone to go to DePaula.
Today I bought a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. This was my second vehicle with DePaula, my Previous car was a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu. My Sales Rep was Dennis Miller both times. He is a stand up guy and will do everything he can to ensure that you leave satisfied with your purchase or lease. I was involved in a head on collision back in March 2017 which totaled my Malibu. I explained the hardship I was going through since my accident and they really went to bat for me. I cannot thank Dennis, the Financial Officer and everyone at DePaula enough for making it such a great experience again and doing everything they could for me. I will definelty return and refer everyone I know.
My fiancé and I came in back in February to get a used truck. When we went in the salesman was very personable and helpful. The truck we got was supposed to cost us right about 450 a month but wound up costing us well over 600 (we were told it would be about $450 with our old paid off car traded in, but walked into the bank to be informed something different). Ultimately the fault lies with us because we signed the contract and the loan but now we’re upside down on a vehicle we can’t comfortably afford and have a very bad taste leftover from the experience. The sales people here really have a knack for glazing over things and rushing you through the process so be careful.
Update: According to my new dealer, Depaula never replaced my rotors, despite me paying for it. Once we figured that out they stopped returning my calls and the other dealers. I was never contacted by Depaula, despite them looking into this on the original review.Original review:I bought my car here and have had it serviced here for 3 years. The team was always professional and took great care of my car, until the last few months.Last year I had my rotors and brake pads replaced at the recommendation of the service team. Within a few months, the brakes started making an awful groaning noise. I took the car back, and the service department let me know they cleaned the brakes free of charge and the issue was resolved. The noise returned within a few months, so I returned again. The service team found no issue. I then moved, and with the noise persisting and worsening, I brought my car to a dealer at my new location. They told me my rotors needed to be completely replaced. I tried calling Depaula, but they told me that the warranty had expired. It seems odd that I brought my car in twice for the same issue, and they could find nothing wrong with it. Another dealer found the problem and conveniently for Depaula, the warranty expired. Now, Depaula has not returned my calls, nor the calls from my new dealer. Im stuck having to replace rotors 13 months after install.I wouldnt recommend getting your service done here. They are unprofessional, dont get the job done, and the customer service is severely lacking.
I recently brought my truck in to have a leaking tire looked at. While I was there, I also took advantage of this opportunity to have my oil changed and tires rotated. I am told the tire is separating from the rim and needs to be rebeaded. This is something I have never heard of occurring this way, or is even apparently covered under a warranty with these tires, which I actually purchased and had mounted right at DePaula only over a year ago.Approximately 2.5 hours later, I was finally able to go. However, two days later, I get in my truck at 330am to leave for the airport to go on vacation, and my tire that was just “repaired” and rotated is now at 19psi! Now, I need to stop at a gas station to put air in my tire, as I am supposed to be going to the airport instead. Then, I park my car in the airport lot for 5 days, just to land home at 11pm to find it at 18psi once again. Now, I need to stop at a gas station on my way home instead of just going straight home, so I can be up for work the next morning. This is extremely frustrating and inconvenient on many levels. At this point, I am angered in how much time and money I have spent over the last 2.5 years at DePaula just to have some sort of issue after-the-fact require “re”-fixing. I continue to have my truck serviced there and even bought my tires there, but this is unacceptable. This is a safety issue first and foremost, and I now need to work around my busy work/life schedule to bring my truck out there once again, just to have to sit out there and wait for it all so the initial issue can be fixed properly this time.As I mentioned, this is not the first service issue I have had at DePaula, but at this point, it should be my last. I would never trust family to have their work done at a place that considers their customers “family” if this is the quality of work completed. I feel much more like a dollar sign instead of a valued, loyal, paying customer.
First time buying a car on my own and because of my lack of experience I was heavily taken advantage of. I received thousands of dollars less for my trade in than what I should have been given for it. They gave me 8 grand and are now trying to sell it for 15. There was no budging on their price They had set for the vehicle I purchased because they reassured me i was already getting a great deal which i indeed did not get. Sadly its all in the past so I have to deal with what I did but Im just putting my experience out there just so anyone can hopefully see what they might be getting themselves into
Went for a 6 month check. Had an issue with tires I wanted looked at. Alignment was done. Nothing else. No tire rotation, fluids or filters checked. Car not washed. Over 2 hours and Nothing resolved except an Alignment when the issue was outside of back tires. Place is ridiculous. Im glad I work with the public and can spread the word.
In 2017, I purchased a used Chevy Trax from DePaula Chevrolet. I have been back to their service department for every oil change, tire replacement, etc. Ive been with several teams and contacts in my 4 years there and I have ALWAYS had a 5 star experience. EVERY TIME. I waited 4 years to write this review. I can tell you confidently every single staff member treats me with the utmost respect and kindness. They are always mindful of the time Ive been waiting, of taking care to walk through the car with me, listening to any concerns,, and the mechanic takes a video of your car and sends it to you. The amount of effort put into my comfort and satisfaction is beyond commendable. It seems statistically impossible yet here we are!Special shout out to Jeff, my current express team contact. You are a true pro in customer service sir!Special shoutout to Emily on the phone. You are always sweet and patient, no matter how busy, and it really shows!
I appreciated working with Jose, he was professional and took me seriously. As a woman, I didnt feel pressure to sign on to things I didnt agree with and he was able to work with me along with his manager Bob. Communication got a little low while waiting for the car to get brought it, and I had to wait a week before the car I have now was finally turned over to me. However, with the service agreement I have now, I am looking forward to working with Depaula again in the near and distant future.
Jeffrey was great! He explained the work to be done and caught the inspection was needed. He asked since the mileage was 100K that if I wanted the transmission fluids changed and the coolant flushed and explained everything to me. I had some concerns which he verified with his manager and confirmed what I said was correct since the car was a Ccadillac. It was good to hear a positive response instead of just a sales push. I really appreciated that extra effort.
The staff was very accommodating. They made an effort to keep me calm and comfortable, shuttling me wherever i needed to go while the work was done on my car. My wait time was reasonable. The analysis video was well done and my car health was discussed in detail, and explained completely. I was satisfied with the service rendered. Some suggestions to consider - I would have liked to have had a video post of the undercarriage after the work was completed, with a shot of the part removed, showing the faulty area of the replaced part(s). There was also soldering done on a faulty connection terminal for my passenger airbag which I have no evidence was completed, since there was no visual to support that. Also, something occurred to me later on - I’m curious why the engine light or something didn’t warn me I was losing transmission fluid from my faulty hose, or that it was low(er).I was overall pleased with the service I received during my visit. My car care assistant went the extra mile to make my visit as painless as possible.A shout out to the receptionist as well - she was pleasant and informative.
Greeted immediately when driving into the bay by a very courteous young lady, taken to my service rep., who followed my vehicle’s progress and updated me. He helped me understand the problem that my vehicle had after I watched the mechanic explain it on a video. He payed out a detailed explanation of the work needed, the time it would take and the cost. He then scheduled a time to have it done. (I didn’t have to do that with a different person.). Checkout was very fast and the vehicle was just outside the door to drive away. Might not be the cheapest, but certainly worth the expense! - In my mind…and I’m semi-retired and not wealthy.
I never tried so hard to buy a car in my whole life. Between My wife and I we called 3 times yesterday trying buy a volt and no one would give us the time of day because we were not there in person. I told them I wanted to buy today, Im willing to put a deposit and send in a credit application, so all you need to do is run a couple # s and we have a deal. It was probably the easiest sale EVER and they blew it. My wife works crazy hours and I just had my third spinal fusion, so its not easy to just come in. I waited from 10am to 2pm and didnt even give me a Courtesy call back, but they wanted me to send in my credit application when they couldnt even give me the time of day lol. One of the managers kate was incessant that they couldnt sell any cars due to the snow because the guy that gives the deals is plowing lol. My rebuttal to that is we live In NY and no other dealership had any problem helping us. In the end we end up buying a volt from a competitor yesterday and it worked out so good that picked the car last night. I really wanted to buy a car from Depaula, but they are not willing to help anyone with special circumstances. I will never give them the time of day again. Here is pic of our beautiful Volt that we purchased from Denooyer Chevrolet!
DePaula Chevy is clearly understaffed. It took about 3 days for them to get to our car, a Volt, even after we had to wait a week to get an appointment. When I called to see if the car was ready, I was told it was except for some paper work and that would be completed before we got there to pick up the car. The paper work wasnt done and I had to wait 20 - 30 minutes for it to be completed.
You shouldnt rely on people watching the video of the oil change to hear recommendations. I never watched it and received a text asking if I received the recommendations. From there 2 staff had no idea the number I received it from. What happened to customer service and coming out to speak to the customer about whats needed?? Seems like enough staff walking around to do that.
I believe I got a good price on the vehicle. I appreciate that no one tried to make a hard sell and the sales staff helped me find a model that fit my needs. I was also very satisfied with the price they offered for my trade in. It was an old high mileage SUV and they gave me the best price I could expect. Two areas of concern, communication was inconsistent and difficult at times with the sales staff and ended up having to make multiple phone calls and leave messages over a number of days in order to get a call back. I understand Chevy has some significant production and inventory delays at the moment and some vehicles are hard to acquire. If you are seeking a very specific model of vehicle I suggest planning well in advance of when you need it. Additionally, the evening I brought the vehicle home, I discovered a quarter sized scuff on the rear of the vehicle. Though the dealership offered a touch up service they pushed back on performing the full repair their own body shop wanted to do and instead said the price quoted was in excess of 1000 dollars. This was upsetting as I had picked the car up at night and only driven it home.Overall I am mostly satisfied with the experience. It was a fair price for a vehicle I needed for work. 100 miles in, the vehicle in enjoyable to drive and practical for my needs. I’ll probably have more feedback once I see the results of the touch up. If it looks essentially new I will be fully satisfied.Update: It took a little persistence but the sales department chose to perform the repair as recommended by the body shop to restore it to factory new condition. Still waiting to see the results but friendly service all the way and a loaner car until my new vehicle is ready. My suggestions, be patient, be friendly, and be direct with what you want and these folks will do the right thing. Raised from 4 to 5 stars.
Last Wednesday I walked into this dealership with the intent to just test drive a few cars. A couple of hours later, I walked out a happy new customer. I was happily greeted from the moment I walked in. John, Shaun, Cullen and Brendan all made sure my car buying experience was everything that I asked for and more. They were able to get me out of my previous car loan and get me into a safe new Trax with everything I was looking for at a very affordable price. This was definitely the best car buying experience!
Leased our second car from DePaula Chevrolet in eight months and cant imagine EVER leasing/buying again from a dealer other than DePaula. Our sales/leasing rep for both deals was Ryan Farnan. This gentleman is a straight shooter and makes the process from selecting your vehicle to signing the paperwork and taking delivery of our new car about as smooth and efficient as you are going to find. Not only were we able to unload a car with 6 months remaining on the lease but Ryan further helped put us in a beautiful 2017 Chevrolet Malibu for less money a month! Again 2 cars in 8 months from the same dealer and same sales rep. DePaula Chevrolet and Ryan Farnan....your best bet if you are looking for a new car at an affordable price! You arent going to find a better deal in the Capital Region!Very satisfied customers-Casey Jones and Shelise Kramer
I was extremely pleased and satisfied with my sales representative in Shaun! He was absolutely amazing the moment I sat down to meet with him. He listened to exactly what I wanted in a truck and didnt stop looking until we found the perfect one for me. He truly went above and beyond not only with the test driving but helping me find a reasonable payment, giving me a tour of the dealership, telling me what you guys have to offer to make my truck last longer, as well as allowing me the chance to experience the Depaula chevrolet experience which was amazing. When I went to pick up my truck the experience was fast and easy. I sat down and was greeted by Shaun right away, he had someone bring me my paperwork to fill out, he gave me my keys, and I was off in and out within a half hour. I will definitely recommend depaula as well as Shaun to all of my family and friends.Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and great service
DePaula Chevrolet have always been excellent in servicing my vehicles. They are very professional and explain the service work that is recommended for your vehicle. When they say it is going to be done they are very accurate to the time so there is no unnecessary waiting. The work is always completed on time and in a professional manner. They even wash the vehicle free of charge after servicing it. I highly recommend DePaula Chevrolet.
Very transparent about what your car needs. The technician will send a quick video detailing any issues you should have taken care of and the severity. The staff is always helpful, polite and understanding. The waiting area has desks you can work from if youre remote which is extremely convenient. Overall I always have a great experience. I miss the coffee and snacks, damn you covid.
By the time I arrived home after winterizing the car and having the batteries changed in my fobs, the car was not responding correctly. And when I was finally able to stop it and it would not start again, I locked the car while specking to the person who was answering phones around 7:30 PM on Thursday Nov 19, I was told to call in the morning at 7 when the service managers would be in. Friday morning I called at 7:02 AM and spoke to Dennis the service manager. He sent the tow driver and within a hour of my phone call my car was brought into the parking lot. Keith knowing what he needed is another valued member of the DePaula team thank you.I am thankful thankful to be part of the DePaula family. I have felt like that over last 20+ years. Thank you for the wonderful individuals who go the extra mile to serve those of us who whether we buy our Chevy from DePaula or not....are treated as if our car is brand new off their show floor. The service department under Dennis Walters can be rated 5+ star and what a fabulous mentor. Thank you a very satisfied customer of DePaula. Elizabeth Schlesier
Kwame Jarvis two names I will not forget! This gentleman went above and beyond to help me get into not just any car, but the one I wanted. After several days and overnight mail he achieved something to some is simple, but he did this with kindness, patience and humanity. DePaula has one amazing team member! Thank you for all your hard work! From your favorite P.I.T.A be blessed!DePaula itself spotless well oiled machine! The show room floor made me wanna take my shoes off Also Mike in service you rock ! Update less than 1 month later : same feelings about mentioned staff members , service manager not so much, and car well needles to say NOT EXCITED ANYMORE
Typical, talk-out-your butt, car dealership. Walking in there were two salesmen talking to each other, we said “hello” and they looked us up and down and one said to the other, “well I have work to do.” Then the remaining one, yells back to some guy approaching, “hey Johnny, they’re yours.”Johnny seemed cool. Typical shmoozer type, he was training a guy named Eric who actually sold us the truck we chose.Eric knew all details and specs about the truck. He had great suggestions that were based on our needs. The information Eric gave us in comparison of the two trucks was what helped us make our decision. Eric tried showing us the Colorado because he owns one, when Johnny jumped in to say, “they don’t want that”.. we test drove a Silverado (which is what we wanted) and there was another for slightly less and a year older, we asked to drive it and Johnny said, “you don’t want that truck!” We insisted to drive it for the sake of car “shopping”. Then he asked Eric to take us on a short drive. What I did want was a comparison and to drive, at least two, not the one and only truck I drove.I had a trade in, they offered me way under it’s value, they forgot to include my pay off amount so we had to agree to a higher payment, then after shaking my hand and congratulating me that I am approved, he asked to verify the address on my trade-in car title. He took my title! Back at our place trying to come up with documents that don’t exist, I was inquiring with Johnny about the value of my trade in via text and his response seemed defensive and he made statements such as, “I gave you, $3700 off.” As if my under valued trade in was something he was “giving” me. He then said, “would you like me to raise my truck back to the original price?”Huh?! I’m just trying to get the truck, man.Johnny pleaded that, “it was Sunday and he can’t do anything because the banks are closed.” We sat and waited for Monday.Monday came and no one called me back about the truck. This is now 36 hours after we test drove and were “approved”, Johnny became a bit rude via text. Requesting pay stubs that I couldn’t possibly have (I’m a contractor and have off NOV, they want a stub within 30days) I had written letters from my employers saying I have a job and that I make 100k per year.... I proved my annual income multiple ways.I asked if I could please just come pick up my title. When I did, the financier came over to explain/defend themselves. He said, he took my title because “he held the truck for me.” Ugh! With the value of my vehicle???Nothing I could say mattered, it was an argument if I did. The last thing the financier said that really got me was, “hey we did everything we can.... you can’t prove you even have a job.”Excuse me?!I have a great job and by saying that you prove that you never had faith in me to begin with. You show me that you never worked for me. Why would you, if you don’t think I have a job?I called De Nooyer Chevrolet, and the kind lady Emily on the phone said, “hmmm I’m not sure why DaPaula would turn you away, we would love to have you!”SO WE BOUGHT A BEAUTIFUL SILVERADO FROM DE NOOYER!!!Same day on Monday, we were In and out! Ryan in sales and Scott in finance must have a really good history with their banks because I didn’t have to prove my income 10 different ways. They stayed late and worked magic. We got what we needed and wanted.De Nooyer is only another 15 min away and WAY better. Oh! And they gave me what my trade in was valued at.Read my review with De Nooyer! Also I was never left sitting at Ryan’s desk waiting and wondering. They communicate so clearly and have a really great process. No cheesy selling. Straight up car transaction. Easy. I LOVE DE NOOYER CHEVROLET!Sincerely,“Sonia” aka Rebecca since Johnny can’t seem to get it right.
Based on my experiences with the service department alone, I will never buy another car from this place. At my last oil change I was told I have a leak, in order to find it we decided to do an oil consumption test. For $159. Told drive for 2000 miles then come back.( Its even stated on my receipt 2000 miles) I do that. Go back and am told oh no you were supposed to come back at 1000 miles. Now we have to wait for the next oil change. And Im sure Ill be charged again. I have never had a good experience with the service department. Seems like employee turnover is so high and no one knows what theyre doing.
I have been taking my cars to DePaula Chevrolet for over 25 years for service and collision work. I have never been disappointed. The service department immediately attends to their customers as they arrive and give very accurate estimates of the length of time the service will require. I recommend them Highly without reservation.
Great service, got my car towed after a light lit up and I had to stop at the side of the highway . My coolant went all over my engine. They looked at it, cleaned it and figured the clip came off. They got a new clip on and it was done the next day. So ecstatic to hear it was an easy fix. Again awesome service, will always recommend going to the dealership than anywhere else.
From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a smiling face. The distancing and precautions taken for COVID were also very acceptable. Matt did an excellent job showing me the vehicle and communicating with me about each step that was being taken along the process. At one point the dealership got very busy. Matt acknowledged this and continued to give undivided attention and answer all of my questions. I took delivery of my 2021 Trailblazer RS a week later. During that week Matt stayed in contact with me and made sure the vehicle was tagged and ready to go for delivery day. Matt delivered a very smooth experience and I would recommend him to anyone I know.
I got my car from DePaula in November 2019, with the best warranty I could purchase. I kept up with synthetic oil changes and other necessary services, but on 8/25/20 the car started hesitating, rattling, and the check engine light came on, so I made the earliest appointment available for the next day.I’m a self employed consultant, and rely on my car to be able to make a living. I told the service technicians this, and was assured they’d do everything in their power to get the car back to me ASAP.After resetting the check engine code, they had me take the car back, drive it around until the noises and hesitation came back. I returned the car before 11 am on 8/26 was assured they would have answers “within a few days.” Later that evening, I was told there were metal flakes in the oil, and that the engine technician was just finishing up his current job, would get to my car next. I was told that the engine would be taken apart and diagnosed on 8/27, then the warranty people would be in within 24-48 hours afterward, and that I should have my car back by “mid next week.”I mistakenly believed what I was told.Having not heard from the service department since last Wednesday, I figured I’d give them until this Wednesday before I checked in. I cancelled nearly all my appointments, assuming that I could miss a week of appointments, since I was assured they understood how important it was to get my car fixed promptly.Well, at 8:30 am 9/2 I did get a call, which I was unable to take. The voicemail said that the engine technician hadn’t even looked at my car, and probably wouldn’t until tomorrow! Meaning my car has been sitting in this giant garage filled with mechanics for a week with absolutely Nothing being done to it. After I was assured it was up next, that they understood how important it was to expedite getting my car fixed. After I lost nearly $1500 in missed appointments, pulling on client relations I’ve built up, to be told when I’m anticipating to get my car back, that it hasn’t even been touched. It gets much worse. I called the service center back at 9 am, left a message to get in touch with me. At 10 am, I reached out to DePaula’s text service, left another message to have someone call me. By 11:30, my ATTORNEY made a call for me, and here we are nearly 2:30 pm, and DePaula has yet to even return my call, much less touch my car.Update:After 4 attempts to call and text the service department on 9/2 (with NO attempts to return my call) I was successful at speaking to manager Mark when I called at 8:01 am on 9/3. Mark said he’d research my situation, call me back, but instead, he had Rick, the service tech call me back. Fine, someone called at least. Rick denied saying that my car would be diagnosed 8/27, insisting that he said “early next week” (my notes from the phone conversation on 8/26 makes me fairly certain I didn’t mishear, absolutely did not misremember). I reminded Rick of how essential my car is to me, and told him that if I had expected my car to sit in the garage ignored for a week, I would have found another garage to at least get started with diagnosing the problem. I escalated the call to manager Jason, who asked why we hadn’t been communicating via the text service. Jason was then able to verify that I was never even sent the initial text to allow for written communication, and was otherwise, just as unhelpful. He did, however, agree that further communications would be through text, so no lies or misinformation could be given (by either party). The absolutely amazing thing is, I got a text from Rick around 10 am saying the engine technician would get around to my car before lunch, but he’d let me know if there were any further hold ups. By 11:30, the problem was diagnosed and explained to me, and by 3 pm, the car was repaired, test driven, and cleared to come home.So I lost access to my car for 8 days for a problem that took less than 4 hours to diagnose and repair.
Potential buyer beware! I spoke with a woman named Amy on the phone at DePaula Chevrolet. I was inquiring about a Ford Flex that they had on the lot. On Monday she practically insinuated the car would be sold if I hadnt come to see it. She told me that do to covid-19 and the lack of new vehicles, older vehicles were selling at a quicker rate. the morning of the interview I received a text message confirming my appointment, at 3 I received a phone call from Amy to ensure me that the vehicle was still there nobody had bought it and that it would be ready at 5:15 for a test drive. Tuesday after an hour and 10 minutes of driving through rush hour after I got done with an 8 hour shift, I was told when I entered that the car was being wholesaled...? (I said)I was told on the phone that three people had already seen it and that one of them was potentially going to buy it. I was also told that I can leave a deposit over the phone to ensure that it was here when I came to see it. but now theyre telling me that nobody has seen it because its in terrible condition. which would have been fine if somebody had contacted me after I set up the appointment for Tuesday at 5:15 p.m. instead they offered to show me every other vehicle on the lot.... it more or less seems like a classic bait-and-switch to me. I would give the place one star the woman I spoke with on the phone Amy was pleasant and very helpful even if the information she gave me was 100% false.
Ive had a horrible experience with your dealership and employees. I purchased my first car from you guys about a year and a half ago and had nothing but issues with it so I traded it in to you guys and bought a brand new 2020 silverado RST. Which Im paying nearly 700 a month for and already have had issues with and currently have another issue I cant get fixed because you guys never have loaner vehicles and I cant miss work. Im considering making public posts about your dealership and letting people know that its bad business and to go elsewhere.
My wife and I (both DePaula customers) are absolutely beside ourselves with anger and frustration with the service department at this dealership. Weve had nothing but headaches since purchasing our vehicles a few years ago. Prior to a recent incident, which is main subject of this review, most of the problems we’ve experienced with DePaula concerned customer service and communication (confusing my wifes account with my own for oil changes, etc.). However, most recently, my wife’s vehicle suffered a fuel system malfunction. We had the vehicle towed to DePaula for repairs. At the very onset, the service representative misled her as to the nature of the problem and potential cost of repairs. It was confirmed by a seasoned mechanic friend of ours that she was given wrong information and we were being grossly overcharged in the quote. With little choice available to us given the prohibitive financial cost of having the vehicle towed elsewhere and limited time due to work obligations, etc., we decided that DePaula could perform initial repairs on the condition that they keep us apprised of the problem and estimated cost. They didnt do so. After four days in possession of the vehicle, we were told that the car was repaired and ready to be picked up. It was released back to my wife, ostensibly with the repairs completed. To our great dismay, the car died only minutes later in a store parking lot. My wife was stuck there in the freezing cold until 10 pm. She had the car towed back to DePaula the next morning, where it was examined again and started, or so we were told. The car was released back to her. Within several miles of the dealership, it died yet again. Upon trying to secure another tow from DePaula, they initially tried billing her for it. With the car back at DePaula for the third time in a week, it was explained that more costly repairs were needed, which was simply outrageous and unacceptable to us. My wife asked several times to speak to a service manager, but kept getting stonewalled. Phone calls weren’t returned. Yet, the car remained with DePaula for further repairs. After 2 1/2 weeks without the vehicle and getting endless runaround, my wife was finally contacted to pick the vehicle up. Upon doing so, she found that the car was dirty, the fuel light was on and dirty dishes were left on the passenger floorboard (see photo). Sadly, we can’t say we’re the least bit surprised. It just adds to the list of ways in which we were terribly mistreated by this dealership. The lack of professionalism and competence and total disregard for the safety and wellbeing of customers is something that should be investigated and corrected immediately. The professional conduct and behavior we were shown is unethical and altogether reprehensible. We feel like we were taken advantage of and would even go as far as to say we could be the unfortunate victims of fraud.Update: My wife received her car back a couple of weeks ago and guess what? $1,500 later and it just died again. You cant make this stuff up, folks. This dealership is by far the worst business Ive had the misfortune to deal with in my entire life.
Idk how u guys get bad ratings. I feel like my experience has always been worlds above any other dealer from first day I walked in 7 years ago. A sales rep name chris I believe really got me the lowest possible price anyone could get. People were selling the same truck used for more then he was offering new after incentives. From then on I always got my service done by you guys and it’s been amazing. Gets better each time. Michael Haynes I believe his name is treated me like we been friends and I was getting a hook up cause I knew someone. Really blown away. Thank you!!
We did buy our car in Pandemic and of course it did add on some challenges as the production was backordered and not too many cars were coming in to the lot to see and or try out. We did try different dealership but settled on Depaula as we felt like they were honest with the process and expectation. We ordered a custom model and it did take like approximately 6 weeks to 8 weeks to get delivered but we were kept informed on the steps and expected delivery dates. Once the car came at dealership the process of adding accessories and doing paperwork was super fast. Nicholas was our salesperson and he was wonderful to work with. Very easy going and easy to work with. I will definitely give them a 5 star and will be recommending any family and or friends without any hesitations to the dealership.
My service representative, Michael Hunter, did an outstanding job to help me resolve the issues with my vehicle. He worked with the extended warranty company on my behalf to get all costs for my service and repairs covered and he went out of his way to keep me updated on the status of my warranty claim and progress on the service of my vehicle throughout the process. I am beyond satisfied and glad that I choose to bring my vehicle to DePaula Chevrolet instead of the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. Thank you DePaula, and thank you Mike Hunter.
Was in for oil change, tire rotation, alignment and routine service. While there I asked them to look at rollup tonnou cover which wasnt latching properly. It would unlatch and rollback as I was going down the highway and items in the bed would blow around or get wet if it was raining. I had also asked them to look at the same issue during a previous service appointment. The tonnou cover was purchased from their parts deparement and installed by their body shop when I purchased the truck. My wife and I are repeat customers of DePaula having each purchased multiple vehicles.Rating would have been significantly lower had it not been for Service Manager Dennis and Salesman Dario interventions. Was extremely displeased with attitude of Express Staff Jeff. He did not research a repeat problem history, and inclusion of failed part in bumper-to-bumper warranty, insisted upon excessive diagnostic charge for a non-GM item for obvious problem and was extremely rude in his handling of the situation. His failures and poor attitude may result in us taking our business elsewhere during next vehicle purchase. He actually ended a phone conversation while I was expressing my displeasure stating Go ahead and complain to Dario. Im sure he will enjoy it. and proceeded to hang up on me. I was down the street eating lunch at the time and just about sprinted back to the dealership I was so mad! I WILL REFUSE DEAL WITH HIM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. Dennis and Dario corrected and salvaged the DePaula experience. Dennis himself checked the tonnou cover, returned less then five minutes later having diagnosed the problem, checked the warranty status and had already spoke with parts department to order warranty reacement. In addition, Dennis waived the charge on a front end alignment I also had done. As of writing this review a day after, Im currently waiting on the replacement tonnou cover.UPDATE: My survey feedback or this review got back to DePaula. I recieved a call from a service advisor to follow up on my experience, appologized up and down, promised corrective action and offered a service gift certificate because of the negative experience.
The service I received was far above any service I had experienced so other dealerships. Jeff Scott was so kind to me. He was determined by his attitude that they would find out why 3 tires kept losing pressure. I purchased my Equinox on 9/28/2020 and have a little over 1000 miles. When my tire pressure went down after they had put more air in the tires they removed the 4 tires and found out what caused this problem and fixed my problem. Jeff never left work and stayed until my car was repaired. Remarkable. You are very lucky to have someone like Jeff be associated with your dealership. He even called me this morning to make sure everything was alright. I love my car and have been telling everyone if they are going to purchase a new car the only dealership is DePaula.
In regards to their service department - Always top notch service across the board at DePaula. They go above and beyond and make use of newer technology to keep you informed through the services process. Lily, my service advisor on my last visit, was great to work with.As per their sales department - They were fair and very helpful through the car buying process. Never too much pressure from the sales associates I interacted with. Also went out of their way to find me the exact truck I wanted and transport it to their dealership. Pretty easy and stress-free shopping experience. From sales to service, I have only had friendly interactions with their staff members that has made me feel very welcome at their dealership.
These guys do service a little differently. Firstly, they quote flat rates for work. So if a job takes a little less time, you dont see savings, but if it takes longer it doesnt hit your pocket. Personally, I like this, especially for larger jobs. Secondly, they use a platform called iService. The technician will take a video explaining the work to be done to the car. I really liked this, since I do most of my own work. It keeps me more connected. You literally see what the tech sees. Finally, they give you a driect line of communication with the service center for updates. My recent service was a bunch of different areas, big and small, that I lacked the equipment to do in my garage. It was really great to get updates of progress each day. My service went a few days longer than anticipated (a number of jobs on a 20 year old car), so they were kind enough to offer to detail my car.To recap, not only did they have the manufacturer tools for my over 20 year old Pontiac, they had techs who had worked on these cars from new. They were cool, communicative, and fairly priced. Ive visited about 5 different GM dealers in the past. This was the best service by far. 10/10 Ill definitely be back.
Had an amazing experience at this dealership. I tried with two separate dealerships before finding my way to Depaula and neither of them could give the help and customer service I was looking for. I worked with Nnanna and he helped my find exactly what I was looking for, a 2021 Z71 Trail Boss. Him and Alvin, the Sales Director, did everything they could to ensure I left with the truck I wanted at the best price possible. Highly recommend to everyone.
You need a used car or truck? Dewin was awesome. Between him and the manager Anthony, they made the process easier than ordering pizza. Don’t even waste your time other places. They make it happen! Never bought a vehicle from a dealership, anxiety turned into certainty.
In spite of having a confirmed appointment, my experience has been that the service department overbooks appointments. On November 21st, I was only having an oil change and a car wash, but it took 1 hour and 40 minutes after my appointment time to have the work performed. I could have gone to Hoffmans Jiffy Lube instead and been in/out in 35 minutes, including the car wash. (I am a very patient person, but I felt that the waiting time was excessive.)The service team member was polite and apologetic, but it does not negate the problem of overbooking by DePaula. Surely, the service dept. has a good idea of (1) how many technicians they have that day and (2) how many vehicles they can reasonably accommodate during the morning. This is not the first time this has happened to me. Each time, I am told that they were extremely busy, which was the reason for the long wait. If that is the case, then the service dept. should schedule fewer appointments and limit walk-in customers - which would SOLVE the problem. To me, this seems like a no-brainer.
Santiago helped me lease my dream Silverado. He was very helpful and diligent on getting me in the driver seat for a great price. I would strongly recommend visiting Santiago when shopping for a new vehicle. I will refer future friends and family members to do the same. Overall smooth and effortless experience!
Service is always amazing, very kind and thorough. I appreciate their transparency about things such as wait times, so there are no false expectations on the customer side and we can plan accordingly. They offer a car to bring you wherever you need to go, but I usually stay and work or just relax in the lounge area, which is very nice and pre covid stocked with everything you could want, post covid there is still drink offerings, tv, work area and comfortable seating.
Update- the starter failed under warranty. Chuck got me right in and repaired faster than I would have thought possible. They had me back on the road next day! Saved my weekend! Their iservice is amazing! Great communication channel! Another great experience!Purchased a truck from Depaula last month. Worked with Randy and Tyler . Very fair price on truck and trade. Sales process was free of the usual... experiences... you get from most car dealers. They communicated great through the whole process. Phone calls, texts and emails were returned quickly! Pleasant and hassle free. One of a few times I have left a dealer feeling good about the vehicle AND the sales experience. Theyll be my first stop when its time to buy again!
This dealer was great! I didnt feel pressured to commit to a vehicle that I wasnt able to afford at the moment. I was looking at a Jeep and the final price just didnt appeal to me. I rejected the sale. It was a very nice experience, sometimes you want a vehicle that fits your dream but also hurts your reality. Ill keep this dealer in mind for the future. Sometimes sales just dont work out and I was impressed at how my final decision was taken and understood.
Everyone very efficient and helpful. Had one issue with guy who drove my truck back out front. I was in waiting room and saw guy get out of my truck with his mask down under his nose. Had truck re sanitized. Other than that, very pleased with DePaulas customer service and COVID safety measures.
Salesperson Cordel Robertson had the right attitude and listened to my questions and provided timely answers. He understood procedures and efficiently completed the paperwork. The search of available inventory for a new truck was done quickly. Other employees were equally prepared to explain the features of the new truck.
I came in for an oil change, NYS inspection and tire rotation. The safety sheet provided indicated that the tire pressure in front and rear was 55 lbs in and 55 lbs out on each tire. In fact, the rear tires should be 80 lbs and front 55 lbs. The tires were rotated and fronts measured at 77 lbs and rear tires were 54 lbs, which isnt correct. The tire pressures were not checked or adjusted. Also the pressure sensors were never reset so after a few minutes the low tire pressure light came on. This required a return to DePaulla the next day for adjustment and resetting. They lied about checking the pressure. How can I be sure they changed my oil and filter? Did the use synthetic oil? Was the NYS inspection performed? I did not receive a printout of the inspection results or confirmation. I am very disappointed and seriously considering not returning for future service. Is another Chevrolet dealership going to be any better? I understand its hard to get qualified people to work, but this was not a mistake, it was a lie.
I am a new GM - Chevrolet vehicle owner, but most of my family have bought GM vehicles all their life. Choose this dealer because my father had purchased 2 vehicles from them and had great experience with them. I had a few issues in the beginning but they addressed them quickly and overall, I have to say that I am incredibly happy with the service I received from the dealership. Way to go GM for having a great dealership to do business with.
First day after dropping off for my appt. the truck wasn’t even looked at. After diagnosis the next day I needed the truck back the parts needed to be ordered. A week later I brought the truck back, the parts were installed, the transmission service was completed and part of the state inspection was done. Need to return for the inspection as the new parts needed to clear codes. 2 days later. The same error codes that the original service was for came back. Going back next week. Was in a year ago for the same problem. 4th time for the same issue. When does the Lemmon law kick in?
I had a great experience at Depaula. I was hesitant to buy a new car because its a big purchase. I worked with Zach and he was awesome. I left that day with a car. I was referred by my friend and I would highly recommend Depaula to anyone in the market for a vehicle. I didnt get the slimy car dealer feel like I did in other places and previous experiences.
Ordered a truck that the dealer said would take 3 weeks to come in. I understand that the dealership is not in control, however, the dealership was not communicating well, until 7 weeks later when a truck came in. After purchasing the vehicle, I submitted a tax form for my business to receive the 1000 in accessories. Now the dealership claims that I need them installed by them which would cost me another 1,300, when the dealer specifically told me that I could do the installation and he would have them drop shipped to my house. Very dissatisfied. Im in the market to buy another truck, a 3500 finally and will absolutely not be dealing with Depaula.
Very professional and courteous staff who made me feel like I was a priority and got all of my work done in perfect timing. Love the inspection video they send you upon completion. I’ve had some rather unpleasant experiences with other dealerships in the past but DePaula is by the far the best of the best. Rob was my service advisor and he was great. Couldn’t have been happier! If I could rate them more than 5 stars, I would! Thank you!
I want to say the service was great.Richard Medico, took the time to explain all my questions...He handled my maintenance and inspection, also I had a concern about a noise rattle in the undercarriage of my car...He advised me to make another appointment with a mechanic to go deeper to figure out the what was going on...I am very happy with Richard Medico, thank you ☺️
After many years of dealing with another dealer. I couldn’t be more happier about the day i decided to go in to DePaula to see if they could do better.I have seemed to finally get the the truck I have wanted with a fantastic deal. The friendly staff and service (new running boards) I highly recommend dealing with John Henry, who definitely had to work for my business.
I always enjoy taking my Corvettes to DePaula Chevrolet. The service advisors and technicians always seem eager to work on them. They are very honest and straightforward. They let me inspect my car when its up on the lift. They point out anything that needs attention in the future. DePaula is also okay with my getting my own parts and having them install them. And they charge only $15.24 for an oil change when you bring your own oil and filter.

2021-12-29I had a great experience working with Allison Raymond. She was very informative, courteous, pleasant and enthusiastic. I did not feel rushed or pressured in any way during my initial visit to DePaula Chevrolet when exploring options for vehicles and payment arrangements. Allison is an asset. There were also great specials that DePaula was offering around the time of my purchase, and I appreciated having available to me. My family has been purchasing their vehicles from DePaula Chevrolet for over 10 years, and Im happy to now be apart of the DePaula family.

2022-04-14I had little expectations on my visit. I knew inventory was low and I may not find what I was looking for day one. Allison was absolutely amazing. I felt comfortable working with her. She listened to what I wanted and made it happen. She connected with me regularly as my vehicle was manufactured and delivered. She made my car buying experience the best ever. I’m loving my Tahoe.

2022-05-17This was my third time at the dealership and they always make you feel like you are family. Allison was my salesperson and she found my truck for me. Jim handled checking in my truck for the first oil change and it was painless. Service was fast and my truck was washed and looked beautiful. I have already recommended DePaula to people that I know are looking. Thank you for being there for us little people.

2022-02-03The technicians and all staff at DePaula Chevrolet are very friendly and accommodating. When I decided to have other work done I was offered a shuttle. One the work was done the shuttle picked me so I could get my car. A very pleasant experience.

2022-04-19I have dealt with DePaula for years, including purchasing several vehicles. I have always been treated fairly and appreciate it. I just dealt with salesperson Bill McGee and he was friendly, respectful and gave us a good buying experience. We love our new Chevy Blazer. My sincere thanks.

2022-05-13OUTSTANDING DEALERSHIP. We have purchased several cars in the past few years and have worked with dozens of dealerships in our searches. These guys were absolutely the best. No added fees above the usual stuff. No increase in advertised price. We purchased a 2005 Corvette sight unseen and its as solid as they told us it was. Most impressive was that Nick delivered it to us and we are not close. Dealers these days just do not go out of their way to satisfy a customer like that!!! We just cant say enough , just totally impressed!!

2022-06-15Overall experience was great. Communication was up front that they were running late. Told me that it would be about 2 hrs, ended up being 3. Although the experience was fine, it seems to be the norm that this dealership is almost always running behind. There have been less than 3 times that Ive serviced my car there that they have been running on time.

2022-02-08Danielle greeted me with a smile and took care of the service paperwork right away.My shuttle driver (Mike) got me over to work early. Justin sent me a service video to review how my Equinox looked and the service he was doing. In no time at all, I received a text from Danielle letting me know that my vehicle was ready and the shuttle was on its way back. TJ picked me up and brought me back to pick up my vehicle. My service was done quickly and professionally! I would recommend going to DePaula Chevrolet for all your service needs.

2022-02-23I came out to my Chevy Sonic at work and had only 13lbs air in one of my tires. I was able to get air into it at work and headed straight to DePaula. I pulled into Service right at closing time. Almost everything was buttoned up, but Mark took a quick look and instantly found the problem, a nail. Mark asked one of the techs, Ryan if he would stay a few minutes extra to plug my tire. Ryan thankfully agreed and in less than 10 minutes my car was safe to drive. I am so pleased to have been treated so kindly. Thank you Mark and Ryan!

2022-02-02Top notch all the way, beginning to end. Friendly, efficient staff (kudos especially to Traci) and excellent technical support. Clean, comfortable modern waiting room. One could not hope for a better all-around experience. This is one of many reasons why Ive been buying and servicing my cars here for 45 years now! 🙂🙂
