Guy from local hardware store recommended Depot to us. A bit pricey I thought at first. $600 for remote start deluxe kit and installation. But you are paying for quality. Everything working perfectly! Everything nice and neat. Stress free service. One & Done ✅ . Highly recommended. Go in the morning.
I bought myself a sealed enclosure with 2 subs and an amp. Got everything hooked up and connected properly by these guys. The staff is very professional and an appointment was setup, he explained exactly what was going to happen and in about 4 hours I picked up the car ready to go! Ive been knocking to pretty heavy bass for the last two weeks with joy ever since.
The radio on my 2013 Hyundai Sonata died. The dealership quoted me over $2100 to replace I. A fellow at work knew Harry or as he called him The Proffessor from Depot Auto Sound & Security.Harry set me up with a Kenwood radio and CD player for less than half of what the dealership quoted. My amp was busted so they installed a better quality radio in place of the stock radio I had. Plus a couple of speakers. Harry said it would sound good but maybe a little less than if I had an amp, but I have to say I dont notice a difference. I think it sounds great. Great service, looks great and sounds great. Thumbs up.
Absolutely the best!! From the prices to the quality of work. I would recommend them to any and everyone. My car speakers kept blowing after taking my car to another place. I was fed up. They went over and beyond for me. I love my music and my system sounds incredible. Good People Great Service!!!!
Buyer beware!!The reviews you see below are all accurate. Sometimes the service is great, other times you are treated like they are doing you a favor. Dont ask any questions because answering them in any great detail is beneath them and they will let you know it. Dont ask questions, just trust them seems to be their motto.Do not ask about pricing. They my make you feel as if you have to ask then you dont have the money. If you dont mind being talked down to then this place just might work for you. Sometimes the work is unbelievable, other times they just do things to get it done, over with and you out of their hair.I am giving them a middle of the road rating as you just dont know what kind of service you are going to get. Needless to say good, trustworthy car installers are hard to find. On the hunt again for an installer that I can trust with even the smallest of details.Good Luck
Harry was kind and a pleasure to work with. The shop got the job done quickly and professionally. My car was involved in a front end collision and my K40 laser units stopped working. He fixed all problems associated with the units and now its back up and running. Thanks!
I am not a fan of writing reviews. Normally I’ll write a review if something blew me away or it was just THAT BAD that I had to say something. Let me tell you at first I thought this was just like any other place trying to make money. Honestly speaking, this place is GREAT!!! The quality of work done is top notch. Not only that but the customer service is above and beyond. Harry is a great guy and his employees are just as good. Right off the bat Harry was completely honest and explained everything exactly how things worked. I will be honest, at first I thought they were getting over on me but after doing research and listening to explanations, I learned that this is a genuinely good establishment. Very home and family oriented feel. This is my 2nd car I brought to them and I cannot complain. Highly recommend this place for radio and remote start installation.
Depot Auto Sound & Security did a fantastic job on installing the automatic car starter. I received it as a Christmas present and was able to just bring it to their shop and drop off my car with a certificate that includes the installation(part of the gift). They let me know how long it would take and my car was ready when they said it would be. When I picked up my car they were very helpful in explaining how everything works and answered all my questions. The best part was the next day when my car was covered in frost and a;; I needed to do was push a button! Thank you!
This place does great work and gives a fair price. Harry is very professional and can get the job done in a timely manner. I was looking for a place to install a remote starter on my VW and was between two places. I went with Depot auto sound since I felt he been in the business for awhile. I made the right choice and love the install and guidance of usage. The install looks clean and professionally done. I now have a remote starter and will enjoy it for years to come. Poor customer service. Went in for an estimate, and was not even acknowledged by a man in his early to mid twenties. Then after a couple of minutes I finally walk all the way to the corner and this man was very rude and and the least interested in answering my questions, so I walked out.I have fixed my stereo and bought a new battery in the past from Harry and although a bit overpriced I was satisfied with their work and customer service but not this time. Unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
I called in for a quote and the person who I spoke with told me I had to come in for a price. I dont live closeby and Ive called other places and they were able to give me a price. If your shopping around and need a price dont even try calling this place. First off they lost my business just for that, second of all try to be a little more professional when people call your business! I told the guy thank you and he just hung up in my face. Rude and unprofessional!
So I unfortunately write this review with warning to any future customer. I reviewed the site and entered with reservation but wanting to give Harry the benefit of the doubt being my family are small business owners and I like to support local business. However Harry does not provide any level of customer service as he is cavalier, speaks poorly of his peers (local competitors) and is quick to tell you great his limited products are and up-sell those who are unfamiliar while yet is unable to deliver on his promised services. I requested a premium unit to be purchased and installed in my vehicle and he didn’t even take into consideration the existing features but wanted to sell me his higher end unit.... shame on me for trust “the professional”. He recommended a unit that didn’t (or he and his team couldn’t tie into existing systems of the vehicle) and at the rates they charge the system should’ve been without any issues, but it was NOT. The reviews I read prior should’ve been my warning but Harry attributes them to his court assigned customers.... his guys were nice but as I stated his attitude is cavities and upon identifying issues with his install he didn’t return my call for a week at which point I left a message saying I would leave a poor review.... it was then he called my mobile and said he was “out of town” and wanted me to come back ASAP to resolve the issue his tech created withed the malfunctioning of my vehicle (yes, not stereo install but my vehicle) and upon my immediate reply never heard back! I will be contacting the BBB and share his voicemail, my text and his lack of response. And strongly discourage any one from using any of his services as the older reviews are quite accurate. He asked me to complete his review prior to me leaving the day of install and I declined, thankfully so!Baron
Technicians are great! They explain anything you need to know and answer all questions. On the other hand Harry is very inconsiderate of your wants and budget. he convinced to buy a sub which i was not so happy with after 1 week of playing, I wanted more bass. I went back to him and he tried to give me only one other option to exchange for,difference [extra 1700 after have spending 650] insisting there is no other way or any other speakers that will fit my truck.He is only willing to credit half the speakers price towards new suggested purchase! After only 1 week and brand new speaker from HIM. Cant believe im loosing 350 dollars in a week from this place. Definitely feel robbed and disappointed. Any other place would refund or credit full purchase price.
Great service! Very honest and professional service. I went in on a Saturday to talk about upgrading my 2016 Cherokees sound system. After speaking for a little while with Harry about my options he and I came to an agreement about what I wanted and could ultimately afford without forcing any unnecessary products or services on me. They were able to take me the following Monday. During my initial appointment I told Harry my work schedule and said that I may not be able to come in during the week. He reassured me that I could because they have a shuttle service which not only dropped me off at my job but picked me up on my lunch break to bring me back to get the Jeep back. The upgrade is great! I am very happy I came here and will continue to do so.
Great experience! I came in to get a new stereo in my truck that would allow me to play music from my iPhone cable without Bluetooth since I dont exactly have a need for it. Harry directed me to a few options that he felt were best for me and did not pressure me or force me to buying anything extremely expensive. The installation took a bit long due to a minor miscommunication but Harry and his crew were quick to fix the problem! I would certain recommend this place to anyone looking for audio and lighting equipment for their vehicle and will definitely head back if I need anything else done!
This place has been in business for a very long time. I Dont know how, its run poorly! He does not take care of the customer. I had my Tints done here and they did a terrible job! I had multiple bubbles in my tint and Harry said wait it out and they should work there way out. after about a week I went to a professional. He offered the opportunity for them to redo the work but at this point I had no trust in their workmanship. I had the work done elsewhere. in selling hes a decent guy, the problem is when your not satisfied. He said you cant get your money back but yet store credit with nothing in writing! wouldnt do it! I hate this place! they dont stand by there work and I would not recommend. this was my second experience, first was ok but they did job the way they should have. He will not take care of you if your unsatisfied. Surprised hes still in business after all these years.
To be honest, I havent met anyone at the store or picked up the equipment that I ordered yet. That being said, Harry has been nothing short of awesome. I told the man what I wanted to do and what I was looking for. He gave me a good price and has assisted me beyond my expectations thus far. I called him after hours and he was willing to stay later in order to assist me with my questions/order. I read some of these reviews on here and was a little disappointed with some people. I run a small business in Northern NJ, I know what its like not being able to please everyone. The key is to be respectful and try and work things out with the owner before you go online and start bashing them or their company. Just hung up with the guy (1 of many phone calls so far, never makes you feel like a bother) a few minutes ago and felt compelled to get on here and write a review. All I can say is Ill definitely be making the trip back for any future audio equipment after this install is complete. I strongly doubt thered be any need to change this review (stars) in the future, outside of updating you all on the finished result/experience.
I have been a customer of Depot Auto Sound for almost two years. I make my visit to them once a month, and they are super accommodating. Harry in particular always answer any questions that I have. A few of the guys even worked on replacing my batteries in my keys because I had no idea how to open the remote. I have seen people go in there upset over this or that on a few occasions, and I understand that no one can make every customer happy. But if you take the time to discuss your needs with them, they make time to address them. They have recently been able to squeeze me in on Saturdays to make my life a little easier, and its actually a pleasure to pop in. If you have the need for their services, you wont be disappointed.
Harry is a bit kooky, but very efficient and fair. He looks like a mad scientist. They installed a K40 radar system in my vehicle and I love it. The job was done very neatly and professionally and now, I cant live without the thing. Its awesome and has saved me a load of speeding tickets, by my estimations... They picked the suv up from my house and even washed it for me!I would recommend them because they are legit and will stand behind their work, not to mention the personalized service you get from them.Thanks, Harry!P.S. To those of you who overpaid, do your research first and try to negotiate with Harry before agreeing to pricing and then complaining about it later. This is America and its a free country to charge what you wish. Its also free to negotiate price, which Harry is willing to do with you.
This place is top notch! I came into remove tint from my windows that was done incorrectly by another dealer. Not only did they remove the tint and put on what I want, they stayed an extra two hours to make sure it was done the same day! They are organized, friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to help their customer. Highly recommend!!!

Came in after calling a few places. Harry was very helpful over the phone and even stayed late to help me design a sound system for my truck. I had a really good idea of what I wanted. Never felt pressured to change anything and Harry was very supportive of my choices for my car. He did have a couple suggestions on my amp choice and pointed out solid reasons for them. I went with full JL Audio System with a Kenwood head unit. Solid install. One small plastic piece seems to have come lose during the install but that’s not that big of a deal seeing has how they took the entire interior apart. Everything sounds great and looks Factory stock. Scheduling the install was a bit of a pain since I usually work normal business hours but that isn’t the shops fault at all. There was a small mix up in my order. I ordered the a set of component speakers for the front and coaxial for the back. They accidentally sent two sets of component. Easy mixup to have. Harry went as far to install a different brand speaker in the rear for a few days until the correct ones I ordered came in. Solid service all around. The only downside is being a smaller shop I had to deal with shipping and whatnot. This is to be expected with any smaller shop which I don’t mind. They had the same prices as the big box stores but just not the room to store it all. If you want a solid custom job done Harry and his people are a great choice.
The staff was excellent and very knowledgable about the products. My Momento M6 dash cam was installed in a timely manner and explained to me thoroughly. I would defiantly recommend Depot Auto Sound & Security to anyone looking for auto electronics.I also had my windows tinted which I would also highly recommend.
I have been to this shop many times and will continue to use them any time I need their expertise. Every job I have done with them has been above and beyond what I ever could have hoped for. They take the time to explain the work they do and make sure you know how to use everything. Worth traveling for!! This is the best shop around! Dont even think about going anywhere else!
A couple weeks ago my under seat sub woofers went out in my BMW 435. Then last Tuesday I was driving by Depo Auto Sound on Central Avenue and figured I would stop in to see if they can fix or replace them. Spoke with Harry (the owner) and told him about my situation. He said they would take a look and see what was wrong. The diagnosis was, there was nothing wrong with my Under Seat speakers, it was an issue with my Fix 82 DSP (it was installed incorrectly and it blew. Thought the last audio guy I used was high end, guess not. In addition to my under seat speakers not working, I thought the sound of my system just didnt have any punch. Harry recommended I put a 8 JL audio self powered sub in my trunk.I left the car with him the next day and he replaced my shot DSP and added the sub and tuned the system. The improvement was great. Overall the system sounded really nice. I asked Harry what I could do to make it perfect, he said you can change your front speakers but didnt think it was worth the cost. He had the perfect opportunity to up sell me and he did the opposite. So I went home and started researching different speakers as I got it in my head that I wanted the system to be perfect. After 3 days of serious research, I determined that I wanted to replace my front HK speakers with a set of Audio Frog GB 40s which are 4 speakers. The reviews I read from audiophiles alike loved these speakers. And the feedback was their was really nothing better in the market.Sure enough, I stop by to see Harry again this past Monday. He said ok, they are great speakers but they are expensive. I appreciated his candor and effort to save me money. I told him, I wanted to do it. For those of you that are familiar with BMWs, they dont give you any space to make changes. And their installed systems are garbage. Harry looked at the specs of the speakers I wanted, had Kevin who did an amazing job take a look at the space and determined they could make them work. Left the car with him yesterday morning, got it back today and the job they did was incredible. In fact, I was just on my way home, I was listening to Pandoras Acoustic Channel and a song I love came on. The separation and clarity of the speakers and the tune job Harry and Kevin did is just unbelievable. You literally get lost in the music.One other comment I want to make is, I have read some of the negative reviews on Yelp and here on Google. Most if not all speak to Harrys disposition. Yes he is curt, thats his personality. But if you give him a chance, you will realize he is simply a straight shooter, he tells it like it is. If you do that, what you will come to realize is, he is really a great guy who cares about his customers and takes pride in his product. I came in wanting to put a back up camera/ monitor onto my car and they were extremely helpful and able to give me plenty of options to choose from 👍🏼Plus when the owner Harry told me a time frame in which the job would be completed, they stuck to that exact timeframeGreat company with a nice staff
Realized they were overpriced after i stumbled across something i bought from them somewhere else for almost half the price they charged me. so when i had something installed everything was fine and in working order then 2 months later i had a problem and asked if i could stop bye and the guy said no they were overbooked so i said fine but i cant come tomorrow and i dont know when i could and he just hung up on me. the white haired guy there is the one
Honest quick analysis of problem. Fair price to fix. I had a faulty back up sensor installed by auto body shop after an accident. They couldnt fix it. Brought problem to Harry at Depot Auto Sound and he corrected the issue. Done by the next day. Would definitely recommend this shop.
This place is definitely not what i thought is was.. .Very overpriced.!!Thought they knew there sound audio but i was sadly mistaken. I have a 2500 watt subwoofer sound system. With an extra kinetic battery in the trunk.Idk why i didnt think to check the work that was done right away.I just figured for the crazy amount of money i paid it was going to be top notch job.Well about 4 days after the job was done.My yellow top optima battery in trunk was not holding its charge.So i took it to my guy and it was in fact the battery.So i got the best of the best and went with a kinetic 2400 agm battery.It was amazing for first few days.Then my subwoofer wasnt hitting as hard as normaly does..So i checked the battery and it was at 0 percent capacity. So i looked over the wiring and dont know how i missed tjis but i realized he had used my 0 gauge wiring which i supplied for power wire ectAnd i look over to my ground wiring from the second battery in trunk and he had used 8 gauge wire.smh.Anyone who knows sound audio knows that if you have a high output system like i do. knows that you need to have zero gauge wiring on both positive wiring all around.Otherwise youll have what is happening to me.My high output mike singer alternator is one of the best.But sadly because of the 8 gauge wire on ground it is not able to rush the power through that thin wire quick enough. If zero gauge was installed like it should have been on the ground there would be no problems at all.so i called Harry last week.And he tells me to come in on tuesday.So i call him tuesday and he tells me oh sorry im packed today i cant do it cause i have a 135 thousand dollar car im working on.He just had to throw in the price of the car hes working on as if i care.The job that he messed up would take him no longer then 15 minutes to fix.But i dont think he wants to acknowledge that he messed up.I knew right away when i saw the 8 gauge that you always use zero gauge for high output systems. And you never use 2 different gauges of wire on a install like mine.I called 3 other reputable sound audio stores who told me yes iam correct 100 percent.So now Harry tells me to call the next day and hell see if hes not too busy.lmao.Dont worry bud i wont be coming back to your place of business. Smh.....march 5th 2020.So now ive also come to find out that its not the 0 gauge but its the way it was wired.i now have to bring it somewhere else for them to fix the problem.Cause the battery for my system is not being recharged by my new 180 amp mike singer alternator. DEF NOT the alternator. Not my brand new xs 3400d agm battery .So im told its ded there wiring somewhere along the line theres a mistake that has to be fixed.Just a shame a payed close to 800 dollars and this guy wouldnt even slide me in to look at it.smh.horrible buisness.
My experience was court ordered and having to deal with an interlock device. The professionals at this establishment made my experience as painless, rewarding, and comfortable as it could be. Zach and Harry were amazingly knowledgeable, helpful, and as compasionate as they could appropriately be. I will now be returning with voluntary business in the future.
This guy harry is a complete idiot. Customer service is terrible. He needs to understand that he is a local merchant that relies on repeat business.quality of work falls short of expectations.would i go back and buy from this clown again....... NO!I think his middle name is bad excusesDont make the mistake i did, all he cares about is installing DWI breath kits in cars. Stereo install is not his thing.
Best place to have your K40 installed. My father and I have both had our cars outfitted with K40 radar detector and laser jammer. My father had also had his entire stereo system custom installed and fabricated at Depot Auto Sound and Security. We even had my Henry put a Viper Auto start on my mothers car so she wouldnt freeze in the winter. Their price points are correct and Ive never had an issue with any installed equipment.
Cant comment on installation service because they never returned my call although I reached out to them 3 times. Apparently since I had already purchased the item to be installed including the InstallCard, Harry (the owner and the person I was told to contact) felt he couldnt make additional money off of me. So with that said I can comment on customer service 0! Wound up going to a competitor in Pelham NY (see my other review) Im glad Harry never called back, found a professional shop instead
Harry is the best, very knowledgeable about his products. He did a wonderful job with my jetski and the music he installed in it. I’m very happy with the work. My music on my jetski is so loud it’s exactly what I wanted. Thankyou Harry your the best and I will be back for all my auto needs
The owner (Harry) was exceptionally and consistently rude (with everyone); e.g., he makes you wait without even acknowledging your presence pretending that he is busy (he basically does very little). He gave a much lower price over a telephone, and then, after starting working with the car, signifivcantly increased the price claiming that he did not know that the car had a push button start (that was the standard with that car, Avalon). Comparing to a dealership cost, he also overcharged (abot two times) for a new battery. He uses any excuse to rip you off. e.g., chraging a full-month fee for six days of renting etc. His employees are very nice and attentive which probably heps him to stay in business. Overall, this was the worst experience in many years for my friend (the owner of the car) and me. A terrible place.
I bought a Rexing dashcam and cables from Amazon and needed a place to install them. Look no further as I am extremely happy to have come here. I got the best pricing but most importantly, after the camera and cable which was hard wired to my car was installed, the power to the camera stopped working which we attributed back to the power cable. I was able to get another cable and Depot Auto Sound was happy to reinstall the power cable again at no additional cost. I would highly recommend coming to Depot Auto Sound.I also brought in my wifes car where I installed a dashcam and got her windows tinted which came out perfectly!!Speak to Harry and Louis!!!!
Came in with little knowledge of how to upgrade my sound system and both the owner and his employees helped me pick out the right pieces that fit my needs. Great service, very nice, I highly recommend this place instead of Best Buy because Best Buy for me was just trying to sell me lower-quality pieces for more money.
One star because “Tint Master” gave me the wrong information, then denied he made a mistake - AND WOULD NOT CORRECT HIS MISTAKE. I will need to take car to someone else to remove and replace tint. Moral: Don’t trust this company to be SME (subject matter experts). Work quality was excellent.
My experience with this place was horrible! I had gotten my tints done here and the price was decent. After the job I had noticed bubbling and Harry told me thatit would go away with time,give it a few days. So after a few days it still looked bad. Btw the bubbling up was also accompanied by terrible cuts around the window. All this to say I talk to the guy and he says Ill do it over... I requested my money back and asked for something in writing giving me credit, he insisted that he would remember me and give me a credit on my next purchase.i would never use this place again and would not recommend. Horrible business! I cant imagine how they have been there for so long!
I came here mostly at random after going to several other places first. I had my head unit, a JL Audio amp, and some cheap Pioneer speakers installed in Port Chester --- they did a great job, but after listening to it I decided I had gone too low-end with the Pioneer speakers, they sounded pretty good but a bit harsh. I had installed them after listening to them driven only by a head unit, so it was really hard to tell how they would sound driven by a real amp.So I went on a search the next day for a dealer that had speakers and amps set up so you could listen to them before you buy --- surprisingly hard to find in the New York area. These guys had a complete setup with Hertz speakers, JL Audio, and a variety of other setups. They didnt have Infinity, Polk, Morel, etc., however. But --- I listened to the Hertz High Energy compnents they had set up, and I had to admit, they sounded quite impressive.Harry quoted me $600 including install. He claimed they would install the speakers plus a sound damping mat. I did some quick internet searching and found the speakers online for around $400-$450, which means theyre charging an additional $150 - $200 for installation. Rather high --- but I went ahead with it for a few reasons: 1) these guys are the only dealers around who even mentioned installing sound dampening, 2) they are also the only dealers I had gone to that had speakers and amps set up and functional to listen to (none of the high end dealers in Manhattan have any way of listening to their speakers at all... whats up with that?), 3) the installation crew were really professional and seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs, and they knew about all sorts of things, ranging from sound processors to special subwoofers that hide in door panels, etc.The end result: the sound is dramatically better than what I had before with the Pioneer speakers. Very clean, enjoyable sound quality even when cranked. The sound dampening clearly helps, but it doesnt prevent the doors from echoing a bit, creating a bit of a boxy sound which I dont like, but its still a considerable improvement over what I had before. I suspect more sound deadening material would help this --- I had hoped the sound mat would have done this, but it could be pushed more. Still, excellent sound, its so good that I have been reluctant to leave my car when I stop driving.Overall: high price, but they know their stuff. Yes, youre paying much more for installation than at Best Buy. But, theyve got some really great speakers and you can actually listen to them before you buy. Dont come here for the cheapest price --- thats just not what they do here. You do get quality work for the money you pay.I rate them only 1 for Appeal because of the high price, but otherwise, I feel satisfied. (Also: what is up with these confusing categories --- quality, appeal, service? what does appeal mean? Theres no category for value or price? And what do the composite scores mean --- what is 21? Why cant Google use a normal scale like 1-10 or 4 out of 5 stars or something?)
Never will go again, complete RIP OFF and the owner harry is a cocky S.O.B.!!! They pretty much charge what ever the hell they want and then give you a ton of bs on how there so much better than everywhere else. Yes they might do excellent service but your paying them triple the price to do it!
One star is even too many. My boyfriend had purchased headlights and asked to have them installed, which they did no problem. Shortly after that all the lights on the drivers side of the car went out, even the fog light which should not have been touched. What actually pissed me off however was the fact that they refused to help us unless we wanted to pay for them to fix the lights they didnt install properly in the first place... HORRIBLE BUSINESS.
A positive experience at Depot Auto Sound & Security with quality midrange speaker replacement in less than one hour.In twenty minutes, a diagnostic estimate was provided for a midrange speaker replacement for the two door panel speaker in my 2002 mini cooperS, and then 25 minutes later the stock mini door panel speakers were replaced with a pair of Memphis midrange speakers, a huge improvement from the damaged speaker cones (that were also shown to me to confirm the diagnostic was correct).In less than one hour and might I add a past year of accepting inferior sound by doing sooner, Depot Auto Sound & Security (White Plains) transformed to excellent clear sound with the new midrange speakers.These guys were great, and if I had known the replacement would be so easy, I would have gone to Depot auto sound and security sooner.Thank you.
As stated in the previous response Harry the Owner of Depot Auto Sound was one of the worst professional experiences I have ever encountered. He has no professional courtesy for his clients.... He is abusive to his employees (stated by them directly) and more importantly his clients as well.... I was a paying customer and for the time of our business relationship was treated in a disrespectful and undermining manner.... I will NEVER REFER THIS BUSINESS FOR ANY REASON AND HAVE FILED A REPORT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AS WELL.... This man went as far as to call me a raving lunatic when I voiced my opinion to him in a professional manner... and when I asked, did you just call me a lunatic? he states I call it as I see it...... HARRY IS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL... COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL AND ARROGANT..... And carries an unethical business practice with no integrity and extremely poor customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trusted the reviews and decided to take my vehicle in for a free inspection of the alarm. Wasnt even there for 2 minutes and they removed a broken hood pin and told me it would be $50.00 plus tax. No new parts, or replacement of pin. Was told this is a fair price. This is my fair review.
I had a radio installed by these guys they were supposed to put cable so I can Mirror my phone and never did the owner just kept trying to sell me more and never delivered on his promise also seem to have an attitude I would not use these guys at all he said he would contact me when he had the cable and never did I never leave a review but this guy got underneath my skin he made a promise and did not deliver I spent $2500 very disappointed anyone spending money be cautious of these guys.
Very nice and friendly staff reliable fair pricing they really work with you they even brought me my car to my job because I couldn’t make it to pick it up all around I would give this place five stars and recommend anyone wanting to do anything to their car to go here
I cant give half a star,i got my trucks system in which i have to this day ,wasnt the price for the installation but the shady tactics while they had my vehicle .Spoke to the guy behind the counter and we agreed upon all factory speakers changed out and two amps and indash kenwood 7 monitor.When the installation was done ,a couple of month past and my back door speakers blew when i brought it back my old factories where still in ,i paid for all nrw speakers and they decided to take my money and only do 2,im doing my dodge now and would never go here again.
I would not recommend this place because of their customer service. Harry is curt, which sometimes I associate with frankness and honesty, but after my experience the curtness just seems rude.I went in for tinting and adding window vents. After all is said and done, I have no complaints with the actual results.My issues were with timeframe and how I was treated. I was told they would have my car for 3-4 hours. In total they had it for 9.5 hours. I gave them the chance to make things right several times for the inconvenience and I was told we did our best. I believe they did their best but I still missed some plans I was really looking forward to, and I did my best when I gave them 300 dollars for the job.I came back another day for the window vents. I waited in the store for an hour, then drove home. At home I realized they were put on incorrectly as my windows could no longer fully close. So back I go. I get there and realize that they dont actually know how to put the window vents on. I paid 250 dollars for the service, and a quick search of the product revealed that it was around 115 if you include shipping. That means I paid 135 dollars to stand in the sun with the employees while they read the instructions and called the company to try and figure out how to install them. I did get to chat with Mike and Louie who were pretty cool so that makes it a little better I guess.In short, I paid for what I felt was a premium service and got a bargain one. Im sure Harry will comment an excuse to this post because he is full of them LOL

2022-05-19Chris, my installer, was like watching a real doctor work ....I called him the CAR DOCTOR! The owner, Harry has been there at this location, they tell me, for over 40 years, I can understand why! Hes very reliable and fair about the cost and work needing done. My 2022 Coachman Beyond RV on a Ford 350 HD chassis couldnt have gotten a better mod improvement electronic service anywhere else like this! Im very satisfied with the great service!

2022-07-01Came to Depot Sound & Security to replace broken speakers. This is a turnkey operation. No question they know what they are doing. They are professional, friendly and they listen to your ask, but wait they go way beyond meeting a customers expectation. How? They pay attention to the details and by doing it so well made me feel like I was their special customer. I will be back to replace my radio!Oh and the new speakers? I went home rocking them! 2021-12-08Depot auto is a phenomenal shop that has everything you need and all the answers to your questions. They have done all my cars/trucks since I found them between installing subs and amps and tinting my last truck. Now just picked up my new truck that I dropped off to get tinted and it’s nothing short of my expectations. Harry is very knowledgeable and as always they do great work, I put my faith in this guys and have never been disappointed. Till next time.

2022-07-05Highly recommend, I got a sound system installed in my car and after seven months a fuse blew and nothing worked There was no sound coming out of my speakers not even the radio or a phone call through Bluetooth and I called the guy Harry frantic because I did not have time to leave my car there and he told me to stop by so he can assess what was wrong and within 20 minutes they fixed it. They swapped out the fuse and I was on my way. They do stand behind their work and are ready to assist if anything goes wrong. I would absolutely do business with them again.

2022-07-07I had a wonderful experience when I met Harry and his crew. I had an audio system put in my car in the Bronx and it was completely reckless what they did to my car! Harry was not only able to fix my system, fix various other problems that were broken and get me up with a beautiful sounding system in my car. I would recommend Depot Auto Sound and Security and I highly recommend them!!!!

2022-04-09First experience at Depot in 2019 was decent. Paid $800+ for a compustar remote start system on an f150, it worked well enough.Second experience at Depot in 2021.. awful.I brought a 93 Nissan truck for full stereo and headlight install, charged $5,000+. One sony head unit, 4 coax speakers and a 10 JL sub installed. On the surface it appeared neat until my batteries kept discharging and they had no power to start the vehicle. I suspected something behind the dash. I take a look and sure enough all the cables had been stabbed (looking for a decent power source for the stereo I presume) and nothing was reinsulated properly. Voltage stabilizer installed incorrectly turned into a huge short and not a single in line fuse for the components.If you read this and still get work done here pls ask for an itemized receipt with parts and labor hours included. I have a feeling Harry charges as much as he thinks a client can pay. 2 / 5 stars because one positive experience with Depot and the other was awful.

2021-11-12Depot Auto sound has been Around 37 years, obviously for a reason. They are very knowledgeable on products and pair your request with the right products. I walked in asked about car audio and walked out with what I asked for the same day. Their installation is very clean and they don it leave a mess in your car. Very accommodating I must say. I will be going back for further needs in the future! Thank you Harry and staff for the great service! Top notch!

2022-02-04Please dont waste your time like I just wasted mine. I called and inquired about service and during the conversation I was told that there was no appointments until next week, which I understood but then the person told me to come by so he will squeeze me in. I had no problem to drop off the car so I decided to go in. Once I arrived the Jerry** manager/owner** is obviously trying to multitask which he failed to do so. he asked what type of car and the year* ( that could have been asked over the phone). Thats all. Ok great. But after almost 30 minutes of me standing there, Im told that he wont be a le to do it today, and asked if I wanted make an appointment for next week, and that I had to tell him now if I wanted or not. Really. I spoke to you on the phone and im sure you could have ask whom ever is going to do the job at that point and not, make me waste my time like you did. The only reason I called you was because I need it to be done today. Stop trying get job when you dont have the time or employees to do so, because all you are doing is wasting people time and money.. please be advised before coming to this store to do any type of business..

2021-09-01Excellent!I had a 20 year old car that I brought back on the road and Harry hooked me up! He gave me an assessment, went out of his way to work with me as I don’t live in Westchester now. And it was all done on time. He even hooked me up with other reputable places to bring my old car back to glory. Awesome place. No wonder they’ve been around for 30+ years.
