After many years switched to another dermatology practice. Had rash bites and was told (rudely) that I could not see my dr, another dr, PA, or NP in the practice for over 2 months as they are a specialty practice and thats just the way specialty practices are run. What is the point of having a physician who can not see you when you have symptoms to diagnose and treatment that can be prescribed to treat? The smug arrogance of the receptionists just topped off the whole experience. Got a referral from my primary and an appointment for early next week with NP in another, more highly rated, specialty Derm practice.
I hate coming here thats why I prefer video appointments. They are NEVER on time. I had an appointment at 11:30AM and thirty minutes later, still wasnt seen. Im sure if I came in thirty minutes after my scheduled time, you would of asked me to reschedule. We have lives as well. We work, we have things to do just like you. Respect our appointment time the same manner you ask us to respect the appointment time as well!
Dr. Tu was courteous, kind and efficient in eliminating many facial blemishes, exactly as I hoped. After several months, the redness has gone away, as predicted. I am very happy with my new look.Thank you, Dr. Tu!
My son came down with Impetigo on his face. I was very concerned that it seemed to be spreading quickly towards his eye. Dermatology Associates was able to get me in the next day to see Margot, the NP. Margot was very nice, she took the time to explain to my son exactly what she was doing as she thoroughly looked over my sons infected spots on his face. She swabbed those spots to get a culture on what type of bacteria was causing the problem. She also made sure he knew he would be leaving with a topical treatment cream while we waited for further results.Today, she followed up by calling me to advise the culture did not show any bacteria that she wasn’t already treating him for. She asked if he was improving and answered some of my questions patiently. I would highly recommend her as she made our experience a very positive one.
I called to make an appointment in October I asked and made sure they took my insurance. I was told they do and at my second visit in January they shocked me with a huge bill I was not expecting because they did not except my insurance at my October appointment. I am now responsible for the bill even though I was told that my insurance was excepted and they even verified it. So be 100% sure they take your insurance otherwise you will be stuck with a huge bill you weren’t expecting . They also said they would call for a follow up and never heard from them and they never sent a referral like they said they would at my October and January appointment . I will not be returning.
I was a regular patient of Robert Loss up until his passing in 2008 and had no complaints.I occasionally went back to the dermatology office over the years and have had nothing but horrible experiences at every appointment. I recently went back to have a few moles checked. I met with Margo the NP. She was very curt and did not make me feel comfortable. Overall I won’t be back due to the staff and the way they interact with patients. It’s unfortunate because this used to be a great dermatology office.
I loved my experience with Coolsculpting and with Katie. She surpassed my expectations with her knowlege, integrity and compassion throughout the my entire process. She made the day of treatment fun and full of laughs. I wanted my love handles to shrink and that is exactly what happened. Thank you Katie and Coolsculpting for the additional confidence I have in my body!
I had a ThermaFacial performed by Katie in the office. I chose the treatment because I wanted to improve collagen wasting as well as create a tighter/firmer appearance immediately. This treatment did not disappoint. Katie was amazing throughout the treatment. It was not uncomfortable or painful, just cycles of heating/cooling. It took about 75min and Katie talked me through the entire experience. The best part is - there is NO downtime. I worked out that afternoon. I did this 4 days before my wedding and the photos definitely show an improved and well-defined jawline/cheekbones! Will definitely be doing again. Highly recommend!
Im giving three stars because all the staff I interacted with were great, except for Dr. Tu. It was my first time going here and he made me feel like I was wasting his time. I had an 8am appointment, so I know I was his first patient of the day. I tried explaining how I have two moles that look concerning. Theyve gotten bigger and are two toned. He spent, and Im not exaggerating, less than 1 second looking at each of them. He said I cant just get them removed because I dont like them and all but had to get him to say hed do a biopsy on them. He is rude and is incredibly dismissive. The woman in the room working with him had such an apologetic look on her face while he was talking so rude to me. I honestly feel bad that she probably has to deal with him most days. If you have to go here I DO NOT recommend seeing Dr. Tu. I will be going to a different dermatology place to have my moles actually looked at. I do not want this doctor touching me at all and will not schedule my biopsy with him. Hes the worst doctor I have ever interacted with.
I very highly recommend Dermatology Associates. Everyone that works there is highly professional. They listen to you and help achieve your goals! I literally look younger than when I first walked in. I especially like Dr Young. He listens and and he is amazing at what he does. I will never go anywhere else! Everyone should feel their very best. Dermatology Associates definitely delivers!!!
Vicky was absolutely fantastic in helping me get a sooner appointment to see Dr. Loss. She definitely went above and beyond to accommodate me as it was my first time there and I’ve really been struggling the past few weeks with my skin. She was super helpful and very friendly, I really enjoyed working with her. In all the entire staff was warm and welcoming throughout the entire visit and Dr. Loss was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Kristyn Allen at dermaspa, Ive had multiple facials done in the city and never have I had such a good experience and seen a major difference after leaving i will be going back to her! Shes highly recommended. Clean and very well educated about her practice. Cant wait to go back!
The staff is fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Great first impression and great treatment plan. They are located on the 2nd floor you can take the elevator or stairs, bathrooms were clean.
My experience with Dermatology Associates of Rochester was excellent! Katie Green is absolutely fantastic! I am grateful for her professional care, and the way she prioritizes safety. I am experiencing positive impact as a result of the services I received at Dermatology Associates of Rochester.
I highly recommend Kristyn Allen. I’ve never had a facial in my life and I was kind of nervous to get one but she was absolutely amazing. Furthermore, she was very funny and whenever you needed to take a little break she was more than welcome to give you that time. With that being said, if you’re looking to get a facial to clear up that acne, Kristyn Allen is definitely who you want.
I have been doing cool sculpting with Katie Green and she is phenomenal! The atmosphere is always clean and welcoming. Katie puts me right at ease and makes sure that I am completely comfortable. Today she was joined by an associate who was shadowing her (Lauren) who is equally as awesome. I can not say enough good things about Dermatology Associates of Rochester!
Ashley is amazing!!! I got my first tattoo removal session today and it went great. She is so sweet and awesome at explaining things. She definitely made an anxious patient feel comfortable and more at ease. Can’t wait to come back and remove a few others later on. Thank you so much, Ashley!
Ive been bringing my mother here for a few years. I was happy with the practice up until this year. The office needs to stop trying to cut corners and hire exterminators and cleaners.Back in March I noticed the floor in the room my mother was seen in was visibly dirty (clumps of dirt, oil marks, hair, smoker smell). After this visit, Ive been hyper aware of the offices cleanliness and I wish I could go back to being unaware. Bugs! The office has a bug problem, noticed this at two visits. The office also is kept at 73 degrees (very uncomfortable). I also noticed again visible dirt on the floor of the rooms (all three past visits, all in different rooms).Bugs are vectors for diseases and the fact that the office is hot and dirty only makes the concern more alarming.I personally go to Helendale Dermatology and I think my mom needs to switch on over too. Never had this issue there, in fact when I chatted with the owner over there she said shes had previous patients from Dermatology Associates complain of similar things.
Dermatology Associates if Rochester is a beautiful place along with their staff. Ashley who removed my unwanted tattoo made me feel as if we’ve known each other for a long time she was so kind and professional. Ashley responded to my text message right away she made my removal process so smooth and easy. I was so comfortable and wasn’t afraid. Thank you! My coolscuplting experience was fantastic! I had an upcoming trip to Hawaii and wanted to look my best. Katie made me feel super at ease and it was very tolerable for a non invasive treatment. I cant thank her enough for making me feel confident and look great in my swim suit.
Danielle Rawleigh NP was amazing. She is easy going, very professional friendly and knowledgeable. Always makes you feel like a friend and you know she’s really there to help. Prior to seeing Danielle I saw Caroline who assists Danielle. Caroline was awesome. Very professional and has a great personality. I had a great experience and recommend this practice to anyone.G.O.

I was very impressed with Dermatology Associates from the moment I entered the door. The receptionist was very pleasant and my wait was less than 5 minutes. My nurse Ashley was very professional, great personality, knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. The exam room was meticulously clean as well as the entire office. Dr. Loss is a top-notch physician. She was very pleasant, through, compassionate and very knowledgeable. I was previously going to a different Dermatologist who I was very disappointed with and changed over to Dr. Loss. Best move I did. Thank you Dr. Loss and staff.
I have been been a patient for years and love this practice! Everyone is friendly. All my concerns are addressed and they make sure I am satisfied with the results. I trust that I am getting the best care by knowledgeable staff. I have recommended a few friends and all have been happy with the practice.
The office is very clean, modern and classy. The staff is very nice as well. However, when I went for a consultation for botox and fillers instead of offering solutions to my areas of concern they pushed product placement in other areas. To be honest with you, I think the injector just isnt comfortable with anything that might be a little tricky or challenging. I guess Id rather them tell me, no I wasnt a candidate then use me as a guinea pig. I ended up going to a different office with much better results.

2022-05-13I have had toxin and filler treatment done at Dermatology Associates. Prior to receiving treatment I sat and met with their patient care coordinator Jennifer who was fantastic. She listened to all my concerns, goals, an what I wanted to achieve. Once my consult was done I met with the doctor who would be doing my treatment. Dr. Young came in and sat with me and provided me additional information and answered any lingering questions I had. He is extremely knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable. My results came out absolutely fantastic!! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

2022-07-21First this office is pristine and pretty - giving a welcome feel. More importantly I was greeted by my nurse Patrick who was so kind, professional and knowledgeable. He focused on what I had to say. Patrick has a very caring and positive attitude that really sets the standard for his profession!!! I then saw Danielle (PA) , she was friendly and reassuring, explaining everything as she went along, making me feel like I was in great hands! Kudos to this office!! 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

2022-02-26My daughter hit her face in a pool, and developed a spider angioma under her eye on her cheekbone. She had it for a couple years. She had a laser treatment to remove it at Dermatology Associates. Everything was fantastic. They did a quick consult and then administered the 1st treatment right then. I was very surprised and pleased with that because, from experience, most places will make you come back after a consultation. The office is very pleasant. The staff is friendly. The doctor, Lesley Loss, asked me if I paid the copay (I had) so she deducted the copay from the cost. The second treatment she did not charge me at all. They are good, reasonably priced, and respectful of your time. I will only go here.

2022-02-01I had a skin cancer screening with Danielle Rawleigh, NP and she was wonderful! I was very worried about a few areas going into my appointment. Danielle put me right at ease with her warm welcome. She thoroughly checked all areas of concern, took her time with explanations, and set up a plan for future screenings. I highly recommend Danielle and Dermatology Associates of Rochester.

2022-07-30I had an appointment with Dr. Samantha Yavorek and from the first moment I felt uncomfortable. She introduced herself seriously and immediately asked me why I was there. Not even a How are you? A dry and rough introduction, nothing compared to what I am used to with other health professionals. This person has little tact to work with patients and in my opinion 0 professionalism. After she introduced, I proceed to explain what led me to set up an appointment with her. In a sharp and not too subtle way, she told me that this procedure was not covered by my health insurance and she didnt even give me another option, as if she didnt want to do the procedure, showing little care to my concerns. At all times she was sharp and tried to end the appointment quickly. I left that place outraged and frustrated knowing that our health is in the hands of people like her. I understand that this type of profession needs people who are kind, sweet, patient and committed to the well-being of her patients, beautiful qualities that obviously, in my experience, Ms. Yavorek does not have. I do not recommend this person at all.

2022-04-20Can I just say Margo is great! Shes so knowledgeable and answered all my questions to make me feel completely comfortable. I just recently started going to see her from a recommendation of a friend and Im so happy I did. She has a very calming persona and makes you feel at ease. She also will make sure everything she does is perfect so Im very happy to have found her.

2022-05-15Have worked more than once with Dr Young. Both he and staff are patient and pleasant when explaining medical information and options, and when administering treatments and procedures. Dr Young is very calm and confident and is a pleasure to work with, and clearly is highly skilled and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this business, practice, and especially Dr Young.

2022-03-20On 3/10/22 I had a cool sculpting treatment to my abdomen with Katie Green, my experience was amazing! Katie was so knowledgable about the treatment and walked me through each step along the way. The treatment was easy and there was very little discomfort. I was able to read a book, and relax during the treatment itself in the comfy clean treatment room. My main concern has been some stubborn belly fat that I was unable to get rid of, Katie and I worked together to come up with the best plan, and I am so excited to see my results. After the treatment I was given clear instructions on activity restirictions and post care, Katie also gave me her mobile number to reach her if I had any questions or concerns. Immediately after treatment my abdomen felt cool and slightly numb/tingly which was explained in detail as being totally normal, I was able to return to work that same day without any difficulty. In the coming days that numb/tingly feeling wore off and my abdomen felt as if I had done a hard ab workout, and slightly tender. After 3-4 days there was no lingering side effects. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested! Cant wait to see my results I will check back in a few weeks once I am at my maximum results!

2022-03-25I would not recommend this office. As other people have stated - I spent the beginning of my appointment explaining why I was there to a nurse only to have to rexplain and remind Dr. Loss of the issues I wanted to discuss. She ordered labs and when they came back, despite the levels being off, her only recommendation was that I speak to my PCP. YOU are the one who ordered the labs for a specific DERMATOLOGY issue I came to YOU for. Whats the point of going to a specialist if ultimately I need to figure it all out with my PCP.
