Phenomenal service from the store manager. I purchased an Aeron chair with the exact features and options I wanted. Happy? Absolutely! Ill be back for more great items very soon.
Purchased a Jonas Sofa from here, and have been incredibly disappointed by its quality and durability. The pillows constantly shed their fill, which is both unsightly but also uncomfortable since they’ll routinely poke anyone sitting on the couch. The cushions are also prone to pilling, and rarely hold their shape, despite minimal usage. When I contacted DWR’s customer support, they acknowledged the issue but their only suggestion was that I purchase replacement pillows ($800) which now had more durable liners. Complete bait and switch. Never purchasing from them again.
I came here to get an office chair on my company dime, and got a great deal (60% off retail on an Aeron chair that was not damaged). Dont recommend if youre spending your own money-- most of the big pieces are damaged and not discounted enough to compensate. They do have a large selection of stylish chairs and stools that seem fine.
Two stars is generous by one. Shop there if you live close-by and want something small to carry out. In one experience: Store manager jacked up the price of a chair by $100 claiming that it was mis-tagged... was sold a lamp with missing parts and was ghosted by the delivery people.
Items are not cheap, but they are quality and the staff goes the extra mile to make s#ï+ happen.
The store is still selling defective ergonomic seats, and the clerks service is slacking
Overall we were extremely disappointed with the Design Within Reach Outlet. Most of the furniture was visibly damaged and the prices were only 20-30% off retail. We are Design Within Reach customers and felt that this outlet didn’t reflect the premium nature of the company.
This is not an outlet, it’s a dumpster. Dirty, dusty and disorganized. I am a DWR customer and expected the outlet to reflect a similar atmosphere as the DWR studios given that the furniture is considered upscale and pricey- it is not. There is no order to this place. Everything is on the floor or dropped on dirty tables- it’s like going through a junkyard. The furniture is not in great or even good condition and the markdowns are 10-15 percent off the full price— WHAAAT?The salespeople are too busy talking to each other rather than waiting on the customers or organizing the space. DWR should take a look at what their competitors in Industry City are doing. No comparison to RH outlet as an example. If DWR’s goal was to have a one star review it has succeeded, well deserved!Don’t waste your time coming here.

Damaged product at 30% off but sometimes you can get a good deal. Also, beware the tags and prices can be wrong so check the website.
A show room full of broken furniture that feels really used makes at $6000. I truly have no idea who is buying anything from this place

2022-05-09My husband and I have been going to this location for the last 3 years. Some things have changed over time just due to changes in ownership, but the staff remains mostly the same and they have always been very friendly with us.It can often times be very hit or miss, but thats the nature of an outlet store like this - things come and go very quickly and often what they get is what they can get. But if youre lucky and persistent, you will eventually get what youre looking for. If are able to buy multiple items at once too, they often times are able to give you an additional discount if you ask for it (and are a pleasant customer).We have gotten several different pieces from this singular location, including a credenza, several lamps, office chairs, and some accessories in the Hay and stationary section. We bought two counter chairs, and after months of returning several times we were able to finally find our third matching one as well (worth it). You have to expect defects and imperfections, which is why they end up in this store in the first place. Just make sure to double check everything before you do your final purchase (if its electronics, they will test it for you if you ask too.)Good luck!

2022-07-10I’ve been coming here for years, hoping that my next experience will be better. To be clear, I love DWR and I’ve had great experiences at stores in the city.. To say that the floor associates behavior at the outlets is appalling would be an understatement. I just attempted to purchase a side table that was marked at $990, however online (brand new) is on sale for $770. When I brought this to the employee’s attention (expressing clear interest in purchasing the table), he snapped back “well then buy it brand new online. We are not here to compete with online/other stores.” Welp, I tried to give you my business! That’s officially the last time I shop here. Please, for the love of god, train your staff to be (at the very least) respectful of customers. Don’t give these guys your business. I’d rather pay more and not be treated like garbage.

2022-05-30Lovely manager, snippy and unprofessional associates. I was told that if I wanted to look at a rug Id have to return tomorrow (which would be Memorial Day) because there wasnt ample staff. I wound up pulling rugs with the associate. The associate was sarcastic and droll about everything. Really unpleasant experience. The outlet is uneven: its a mess, the workers must be overworked and underpaid because theyre difficult to find (nobody is EVER upstairs), items arent always tagged, and thats questionable, and a store of this caliber should be working on a kinder and finer plane. Sorry for the bad marks, but just had to be truthful.

2020-11-16Good store, prices are about 20%-50% original price. I was surprised by the selection of previous generation of Herman Miller office chairs like Mirra and Awron on the second floor. They even have one Eames Lounge chair on sale.

2021-09-17I visited this location and am appalled by the behaviour of the staff. The warehouse staff on the second floor were loudly cursing and talking inappropriately while using racial slurs without any managers quick to reprimand them that this is a business and they represent the company. Theyre was a family who quickly left the second floor when this behavior became noticeable. The sales staff were disinterested in assisting me and when I reviewed the prices I was shocked; especially seeing how damaged and stained all the furniture is. Overall, this store is filthy and has no sense of respect for itself and its customers.Please understand, my experience maybe different from yours but this location isnt worth your time.

2021-12-22Shady business practices. My friend found a table he liked priced at $1097. When he said he wanted to buy it, an employee took the price tag downstairs and changed it to $1400. They said the original price as marked was cost price and they couldn’t sell it for that.

2022-01-11The worst customer service ever. Nobody was working. They were looking at their cell phone. one of them was eating at the register. No intention to help or make sales at all. The workers make DWRs reputation bad.

2021-12-30Great if you can go in person as I used to do until I moved. Now living two hours away so not as easy to just “pop in”. Try asking for stock over the phone and it’s infuriating. Just pompous and snobby attitude each time.
