Great play area for children.

Its a beautiful park but so dangerous. its full of people during the summer time and its just so unsafe. there have been a lot of incidents at this place in the past few years. there are people smoking hookah in every corner. its nice early in the morning though.
It was good and so clean. My son had a good time there at the park. I wish to go back again.
A quiet clean park, with great views of Manhattan and different sections of the Bronx, strangely enough very lightly used except for people waiting on the buses or just someone passing by and walking through, very close proximity to the veterans hospital and a few other care facilities, so its perfect for walks for patients doing rehabilitation, a great place to just sit and do some people watching, I think one of the most beautiful views is in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees and a little coating of snow on the ground. Then its perfect for the kids!
Dangerous park!!! people riding motorcycles inside the park. Unsafe for small kids!! My 1 year old was almost hit by a scooter/motorcycle!!! There is not enough police surveillance, more police officers should patrol more this park.
Great park by University and Fordham. It has so many things, basketball courts, play ground for children, big green areas. Whenever you want to be around lots of people go there in a holiday! It safe and clean. I always see workers doing maintenance to all the areas of the park.

Lived by this park my whole life, nice enough place in the daytime, but of course everyone needs to be careful of parks in the nighttime. Drugs and things. Lots of parties and events are held here and thats when it looks really nice. Dirty too, but a fun place.
Its a decent park, but it really needs to be cleaned more often. Its not the fault of the sanitation department, but the dirty terrible habits of those who cant keep their community clean or care for their surroundings. It used to be a clean wonderful park, but it has really deminish in quality.
Big spread out and fun. Facilities are generally maintained but playgrounds a little outdated basketball courts need updating and more swings could be added. A lot of fights keep your eyes open.
Nice park, public bathrooms. Easy access to busses and a walk away from Manhattan too. Currently cold so no one is there. Bathrooms are a bit on the dirty side. No syringes or baggies that are visibly seen. Large decent park in the bronx in a nice quiet neighborhood with a busy intersection.
The park is being renovated. Eager to experience the upgrade.
It is close to the transportation and whatever you want to buy is around you, or even more you are a Catholic person the big church is across.
This park is on the corner of university ave and Fordham rd where 3 different bus lines passes thru here. The bx3 and the bx12 and the bx12 select. The park has a kiddie park with sprinklers for those hot summer days. Plus family gather on Tuesday nights to play family bingo.. And some play music and do cookouts here. Everyone have a wonderful summer recreation here.. Come and bring your blankets and enjoy the large lawn.. If u get hungry - Dallas BBQ is just 5 blocks away by the highway that leads into Manhattan..
Nice place to go for a quick break.The park is mostly for children but theirs plenty of benches though out the park to get away from the noise.
It could be rated a five star, but not in the winter; stairs entrance on W Fordham rd are not plowed nor de-iced. And the walk through aisle across to the other side to Fathersizer are almost never plowed either.At one point I wind up doing it.

Its a good park. Its open and you can see just about every corner of it from any side of the park.
Great place to take you children after homework is done or after school, Note: in the summer the sun is brutal there is hardly any shade to cover, but the kids love it when the sprinkles are on.

Park is constantly dirty and there is no dog park. Parks Department does their best to keep the park clean but the people in the neighborhood leave trash and dog droppings everywhere.
Its a quiet park that you can just sit an enjoy the scenery. It has 2 full basketball courts an a place for the kids to play.
It was nice to walk around sit relax and back to exploring that side of the Bronx.

Piece of advise: DONT SIT ON THE BENCHES AT NIGHT BECAUSE THERE ARE A LOT OF RATS ON THE GRASS AND SOMETIMES IT WOULD PASS UNDERNEATH YOU LOOKING FOR FOOD. GROSS!
Nice big park. Good for dog walking, playing frisbee, basketball and handball or just taking a seat and relaxing to your music
Its fine in the daytime, but has issues with a group that sometimes hangs out there. Its kept clean at least.
Plenty of stores to shop and eat around. The park is kept pretty clean and theres a water fountain for the kids to play in during the summer

Very dangerous park. The cops have been patrolling more because of it. Lots of homeless and mentally unhealthy people there.
My now 19yr old grew up going to this park...great memories
I spent many days in this park as a 12 year old. A score of memories. Looks and feels smaller though.
The gates around park last summer kept it nice and quiet. Hopefully, the same is done this year.

Im very leery about walking through the park after Sundown but during the day its a good family location and a shortcut to and from the subway number four line
