Very pure service,marchandice ,ours, Duty Free J. Kennedy wasnt able buy gifts more stores was closeds .Shame! for country,shame for Aeroport.Gift market .busness should be or closed or work better respectable for everyone travellers.Everyone hoping got gifts for love ones ,freinds and terrible disapointed, when they are closed or no you can found!Nothing coud found for big anniversary my members family was very unhappy
If I could give it NO stars, I would. Uneducated employees working in an international airport are no match. Literally just had an Asian employee of the DFS tell us we can’t purchase alcohol whilst traveling to Puerto Rico 🙄 and then that same employee YELLED at us from across the store, telling my husband to put his mask on ( mind you, we’re wearing KN95 masks) just because he was readjusting it. I questioned what her issue was with us, to what she said “no issue, you just can’t do this” and proceeded to move her mask, exposing her nose to demonstrate…. Which OBVIOUSLY defeats the purpose. Rude, obnoxious and just plain dumb.
On Jan 19,2020 I bought a DG perfume. The cashier told she had a problem with the payment machine after swiping my credit card and charged me in a different machine. I checked my credit card statement they charged twice and when I disputed the charge they declined telling that charge was valid showing two separate transactions for the same dollar amount and same product. There is no duplicate charge and therefore no credit is due.I see other comments with the same problem. THIS IS A FRAUD PEOPLE PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Ill try to report them.The bank is unable to peruse the dispute because of different authentication codes. It means they scanned a different item of the same product the second time. Since its a duty free location you cant go back. This is all planned and these people are deliberately scamming people.
I made a mistake buying stuff at the JFK Galleria Duty Free shop during my stopover and paying cash. I was told that the goods would be delivered to the gate.Like many other Google reviewers I seemed to have been allegedly defrauded. The goods have never been delivered to the gate. The flight attendant tried to assure me that “this happens all the time”.Guess what, after having contacted the store and going back and forth with my personal and banking information for few months now, I have seen neither my goods nor the refund.My advice to flying public: stay away from JFK Galleria Duty Free Shops. If you can’t help yourselves, then pay with credit card, your bank may be on your side, and keep your eyes on your merchandise. Don’t leave your stuff behind.
They dont let you take your purchase with you. Ours was not delivered to the plane. The reciept was with the cabin crew on Virgin who gave it back to the duty free guys to find our purchase. Never delivered. Now I have no goods and no receipt. My suggestion dont buy anthing from them they dont let you take with you. I have travelled extensively and this is the first duty free where they keep your purchase. Frankly at the moment it just seems like a scam...
Purchased a duty free bottle of Baileys. They did not get it to me before my flight took off for home from JFK. Never had that happen before. I emailed them to tell them about not receiving my product and was told I needed to complete a return form as well as provide them with details of my banking account. They apologized for the inconvenience. I noted that their apology was fine but they should be thinking about compensation for the inconvenience they caused. I was told we are prohibited from providing any means of compensation. By prohibited they meant their company has decided that compensation for customer inconvenience is unimportant. Very disappointed. Will shop elsewhere.
Had such a wonderful holiday in New York with everyone being so nice and helpful the whole week!! However this wasnt the case in jfk terminal 4 duty free!! I had $200 left in cash that I wanted to spend so I went to the duty free!! I wanted to purchase a eyecream and asked for some help!! She was so rude and just told me read the box!! I than came back a second time as I wanted to re purchase a foundation that I had ran out of! I wanted to see the difference between the one I had and the lighter shade up!! A lovely gentleman who worked there went a got the same lady again!! She was so horrible when I asked to see the difference she said if the tester is not on the shelf than I cant see!! I could clearly see that there was a lighter shade but she was too lazy to show me!! Absolutely horrendous person who should not be working in that industry as I travel a lot and have always dealt with very friendly staff in duty free shops!! I also wanted to purchase the geogio Armani Sí purfume but thought screw this im not giving them any money and just walked off!! Appalling customer service!!
Be prepared to get shrugged off and told “Oh well, we’re not servicing your gate today” for no apparent reason whatsoever. Completely unprofessional and inadequate. They lied and told me my departure gate was somewhere else, when I had just come from the gate. So then they made some lame excuses about being understaffed and were very rude & condescending on top of their failure to do their job. Zero stars
I was very unsatisfied with the way the sales person treated me a few days ago. She was not helpful (no one there to assist) and not friendly when I came to the register. Twice a year, on my way home, I buy day & night creme of Clinique and Advanced night repair of Estée Lauder in this store. Together $ 230. Also this day. I asked her if I could have one of the free travel size items that were in a box next to the products. She said no. Because the sign says you have to buy three products to get them. I said I bought three. She said they are not all Clinique so it doesn’t count. I said they are the same company (she didn’t know) and besides, I always get to pick three or more (I asked for one) travelsize items when I buy these exactly the same products. She was not going to discuss it, said there was nobody else to talk to or to ask, didn’t say sorry or anything. I found it very unsatisfying and will not go there again. There are other places with the same or better prices for travellers.
Dec 10, I bought sunscreen and lipstick in Lancome store in JFK airport terminal 4. (departure) A Chinese staff helped me.She said payment machine had a problem so I tried to pay three times with my debit card. I got just one receipt, BUT MY PAYMENT DONE TWICE!!!!!!!!!! What are you going to do? Please refund for the amount of overcharge! I can send you screen shot of my bank statement!!Please email me about this.
One of the representatives was discriminative towards Torontonians, not allowing me to purchase a bottle which was below my allowance limit. Went to speak with another rep and finally he let me purchase and even walked me to my gate carrying my goods. Poor service overall and prices not as reasonable.
Its like an international madhouse here. Business Class, TSA Pre-check - it doesnt matter. Sub- coach can enter security before everyone else.I hate Kennedy (airport not the President). The dogs flying get treated better than the people. I wish I was a dog today.There are almost no procedures. I am furious about the poor service.
I was traveling 9/1/17 and bought a few items in the duty free shop in JFK. The items were supposed to be picked up by the plane entrance. Some of my purchases were missing. I am still trying to get in tough with someone to get this resolved, unfortunately the phone number they have listed is not working
Incompetent and thieves:Although I bought more than 3 hours before boarding, they did not bring me the purchase and they did not give me any explanation. The flight attendant told me to write an email. I did it once, twice and the third time they answered me. In the meantime, 4 days passed and although they had not delivered the purchase to me they had already charged me ... It took two more days to return the money to the credit card but the $ 14 that I paid in cash and for which I provided a number Of account, after a week they still havent returned them to me. As said: incompetent and thieves.

2018-10-17Easy to navigate terminals 1 to 8 using Air train. Poor selection of restuarants and lack of variety. Lack of healthy food options.PIZZA, BURGERS, SUASAGES, CHINESE, DONUTS, AND STARBUCKS.Located at terminal 1.

2021-11-05If I could give zero stars I would. Today we purchased 3 perfumes on the duty free about an hour and a half before our plane was supposed to take off. The guy gave us somebody else’s purchase at the gate (completely different from what we had bought) and we still waited 30 minutes inside the plane and he never came back with the bag of what we purchased. Airline said it’s not the first time this has happened and that the only thing left to do was file a complaint. Both the other person whose purchase was mistakenly given to us and we had the worst experience. (good thing he was on the same plane and was able to get what he paid for) VERY POOR Customer Service.

2021-12-29I have just purchased a Foundation few days ago and was in a rush for my flight, when I arrived home I found out that the foundation is already expired 2 months ago! Obviously I am not there anymore to return it! How they can sell expiry products, it’s unacceptable. Please, double check whatever you buy!
