Our management company has hired Dial-a-Bug for monthly maintenance. Sometimes they either do not show up, or when they do, they tap so lightly on the door that we cannot hear them. One time I put a sign on the door telling them to ring the doorbell, and they still lightly knocked. It feels like they arent really interested in servicing us.**REPLY TO OWNER: Peggy, our property management company, HSC Management, has explicitly stated that we are not allowed to make appointments outside of the monthly visit. The President, Josh Koppel, called this special treatment. Please just tell your techs to actually ring the doorbell or knock louder than a light tap and make an effort to get in touch with the tenants on the sign-up sheet.
My management had dial a bug call me to set up an appointment. At first there was some confusion about the date of service. I spoke with Casey and it was straightened out. Peter was the man he checked every where. Plugged up holes, moved my refrigerator and stove. He gave me some good tips about dealing with rodents. Thank u Casey and Peter, I appreciate u!
I rarely do this but feel it’s necessary and could help out someone else as Similar reviews I’ve just read has given me a much needed confirmation. This is my 2nd go round dealing with bed bugs. First time I used a company that was awesome. This go round I decided to go through my buildings management company as I feel like there is an issue in the building. They came a month ago and did a treatment. Both visits super fast and ineffective as the bugs never left. I have babies and my youngest was getting bit and continued get bites letting me know there was still a problem. I called them again, knowing I shouldn’t have and here I am a month later after the first treatment out of two and found one in my sons bed again. I will not have them return for the 2nd treatment and will be contacting the company I used before. It was very assuring reading these reviews and seeing others having the exact same complaints.They are super professional over the phone and appear to be very knowledgeable but when it comes to the quality of work not worth it especially when so much preparation has to go into these treatments.
We had a wasps nest take over our back yard with thousands of wasps swarming around our property.I called Dial a Bug and spoke with a Peggy Kass, after hours, who dispatched someone to come to our home in Westchester the following day. Delfin arrived in a hazmat type suit and within 30 minutes had taken down the nest and rid our property of the wasps. He was so professional and we were so relieved!! Very impressed with their service.
Omg! I received treatment yesterday for an insane rodent problem in my apartment. Delfin showed up and was amazing!! This was my first time receiving treatment in my apartment and I was ashamed and disgusted. But Delfin assured me that my issue was a building issue as he showed me several holes throughout my apartment where the mice were biting right though the Sheetrock! I explained to him my anxiety being five months pregnant and preparing my home for my eight year olds Remote Learning. He was very professional and sympathetic to how I was feeling. He shared he has five children himself and wasted no time closing and treating all the holes in my apartment. I was so thankful I had to tip him. He even pulled three boxes out of the closet that I was afraid to go into. He did an amazing job! I requested him for my follow up and hope he’s available to come.
This Company and the Exterminator That Came Out was Very Professional the Exterminator Identified himself as Victor Tech #19 Walked in ask me and I explained and he got to work right away found the Problem of mice as of this writing I havent seen or heard of mice very Professional Worker thank you DialABug for sending out an Exterminator that knows his work
I had several signs of a bed bug infestation in my apartment, and so my landlord put me through to the service they use for the building, Dial A Bug. Dial A Bug contacted me to set up an appointment to do a spray treatment on my apartment. This was the first red flag for me. All of the research I was doing told me to be wary of companies who dont bother to do inspections prior to treatment. I decided to reach out to a different pest control company for a second opinion. They sent someone over to inspect, and they found bed bugs. They told me to look out for how much time the Dial A Bug guys spent treating my apartment; anything under an hour would almost definitely be ineffective.The Dial A Bug employees showed up at my apartment today. They spent 20, 30 minutes tops doing the treatment. It was extremely disappointing, especially considering the extensive prep work required of me to prepare for the treatment.There are some great things about this company. Everyone I talked to---both on the phone and in person---was extremely kind and courteous. They accommodated my need to make an early appointment so I could still make it to work. What it really came down to, though, was that the actual work they put into treating my apartment was insufficient. Its extremely frustrating to know that Ill most likely have to go through this whole process again with a different company if I actually want my bed bug problem solved.
I highly recommend Dial A Bug. Michael Del Bianco (termite exterminator) was punctual, practiced safety precautions during covid, honest, knowledgeable and professional at the inspection. I did not use the services at this time because the termite infestation was not active. But, I will definitely use this company in the future! Thank you.

I have heard of other companies using this service and have had the worst experiences of their lives. I think they just havent given the service the time and support theyve needed to show that they can indeed shine through the negative comments. Dial A Bug has proven to be dependable and effective. I live in a apartment complex. The whole building is mice infested. The company has been coming in for 3 months and I still have mice. They keep dropping off mice traps and bait and putting in the holes metal . I keep telling them that they eat the bait jump over run with the traps on them and eat the metal. My landlord has been telling them to drill holes and put poison in the walls and seal them up and they have not been doing this. We hear mice and squirrel running in the walls. Mice are eating clothes. I am having major surgery coming up and I will be having a home health care worker coming in and I will be mortified if I still have mice. The company did a excellent job on bed bugs havent seen one in 6 months. But we are infested with roaches. They are coming today to bomb. We never saw roaches until the Covid the company services us monthly but now the whole building is infested. I wish they enforced the landlord to bomb every apartment to combat the roaches and mites.otherwise techs need to really listen to the tenant.
Our building in the East Village contracted Dial A Bug to remediate rodents and bugs in in our cellar last year. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable and have helped us eliminate rodent infestations from neighbouring construction sites.We also recently hired Dial A Bug to pressure wash our light wells, which have been populated with pigeons nests, droppings and vermin. Their field technician, Enoc, did a great job helping us remove many layers of toxic debris and disinfecting the area in no time at all.
Gave me instructions to take down all this stuff unnecessary they only sprayed no vacuum no seaming. Only one technician came so it was up to me to mattresses if I wanted them to spray for bed bugs. This was done as a preventative. However not thermal enough. The secretary was very argumentative and actually threatened me with calling my management because I called to complain. Go figure now management is going to spank me. I also had to stay out of my home cause the chemicals were to harsh.
We found a bedbug on our bed just before Fourth of July weekend and notified management who works with Dial a Bug. I sent them a photo per their request and they couldnt be sure it was a bedbug. We immediately contacted third party exterminators who confirmed by photo and in person same day that we had bedbugs.Dial a Bug could only come the following day. When they did, we handed Victor a live bedbug in a bag and he said he wasnt sure if it was a bedbug.They NEVER followed up with us. I notified management and they insist on still using this poor quality company. Im glad we hired our own exterminator but our building has at least four units infested and I fear we will not be protected for long.STAY AWAY from DIAL A BUG!!!

The service technician came out to my apartment and did absolutely nothing he placed blue boards on my kitchen table and placed bait behind my refrigerator which is illegal I have a dog and I was worried about where he placed the poison I asked the technician to remove the bait and he told me to do it myself this is absolutely the worst pest control company in the State of New Jersey I would not recommend anyone ever using this extermination company

2022-04-06I am so happy with the services I received from Dial-A-Bug. I was contacted by Dial-A-Bug, to confirm my appointment via phone. I received an appointment time that someone would be arriving between the hours of 1pm-5pm. At 2pm a worker by the name of Jay arrived to complete my services. Jay was very professional and polite. Jay inspected every area and access hole for rodents within my apartment . He took his time reviewing each room and closet in my apartment to find access holes and then proceeded to seal them. Jay was very neat he did not leave any mess behind and he also provided other solutions to rid my home of rodents. I am pleased with the services Jay performed today and I would recommend his services and Dial-A-Bug to others in the future. Thank you Jay and Dial-A-Bug for your help & professional services.

2022-05-12Had an appointment, waited for hours in my apt and due to some ego trip from their call center (they told me i hang up on them which is totally untrue and quite frankly irrelevant), cancelled my appointment without even telling me. I found out when i called them. Completely wasted my half day and very rude customer service to boot.

2021-10-23I called them to service a three unit house for roaches with one unit being the source of the problem. I spoke to the tech before he even started the job and explained the situation. When i tell you he looked like he didnt want to be bothered. he dabbed a tiny dot of a gel in 3 spots and he was done. I told my tenants to empty cabinets and all he did was a quick spray in each and he was out the door. I called the main office back and all she could say is the tech did what he was supposed too. I wished i took a video of it because this was the worst service ever.

2021-10-30My building management hired Dial-A-Bug to provide special services to my apartment after restoration work gave rodents access to my apartment.Having mice can be extremely invasive, overwhelming and even depressing. I had three maintenance workers try to resolve the problem with no luck. But after Dial-A-Bug serviced my apartment, no more mice!!!The Dial-A-Bug Tech (#62 James) arrived on time. He walked into my apartment with an air of confidence that he would resolve the problem. He started his work by giving me safety instructions pertaining to the solutions he would be applying. Then he gave me an overview of his plan of action. His communication made the experience professional and comforting. He proceeded to work and was extremely thorough. He checked every nook and cranny in my apartment for holes. He even had a small mirror with an extendable arm to exam hard to reach places. Within 15 minutes I heard him say I found the point of entry. Music to my ears! He finished up and concluded his services by sharing information about the sealant dry time.Since Dial-A-Bugs service, the mice are completely gone! I feel comfortable in my own home again. I am extremely grateful to Dial-A-Bug and to Tech number 62.

2021-11-16Building management has an arrangement with this exterminator company. In addition to monthly visits for roach extermination, upon moving into the building earlier this year I have experienced bed bugs. Don’t mind the fact that I did not know the building has a history of bed bugs, but I digress.I’ve had a total of three bed bug treatments and one roach treatment. One bed bug treatment is supposed to last 12 weeks. While the technicians were nothing but respectful, the treatments just appeared not to work! Living in my apartment for less than 6 months however I’ve had the equivalent of 9 months worth of treatment.

2021-04-09The service I received was provided by the management of my building. If I paid I would of contacted better business bureau. The exterminators that arrive are aggressive, careless, rude absolutely horrendous. I had the first technician yell at me to leave my apartment. I felt so uncomfortable leaving him there with my stuff the only solution I had was to reluctantly give him 20 bucks. After he received the money his tone and demeanor changed. No more than 15 minutes of labor they spray and leave. The preparation they make you do is specific and time consuming removing electrical outlets from the walls move all your furniture to center of the room. It’s literally moving all over again. For 15 mins of spraying. Avoid at all costs. If I could I would of payed out of pocket and got a real professional company.*Be weary the staff are bullies calling me to claim I didn’t “prepare” enough. I was getting notices from my management I would be held responsible about my neighboring apartments. The audacity of this company. avoid avoid avoid

2021-11-13My building switched to this pest control company, not sure why because the one we’ve had for years always came at the same time, was polite and helpful.This company shows up in the afternoon on a Saturday with no set time. I literally had to call twice to the base because they had not yet came to my apartment. I was told they were in the building and coming, sat here for another hour, no tv no music, reading a book. Then when I called back because he still hadn’t come , was told me knocked on my door. He must have the hands of a mouse because I don’t know how I didn’t hear lol. They said he could come back in an hour.When he finally came back he was aggressive and rude from the jump. Never met this person and he’s coming into my home, and shows up saying “just so you know this is the only time im coming back because I knocked” my sister was literally on the phone and heard the whole thing and was also shocked how someone representing a company feels like they can speak to someone like this. She recorded the entire thing because she was equally disgusted, so he can say whatever. We have it all!!! I was literally going to thank him for coming back, but the way he approached was highly unprofessional. I will not be spoken to like that when I did nothing wrong but wait all day for a service I’ve received from another company for 10 years without issue. Got along with the last guy perfectly fine.Dude also commented on how my apartment was cluttered. It’s Christmas season and I run a small business so have orders … which is none of his business. Very rude!
