Ordered a turkey sub with mayonnaise and oil lettuce tomato and cheese picked it up after a long day at work got home to eat it nothing on it no mayonnaise no oil just lettuce tomato and cheese nothing else the sub was hard the bread was staled so I talked to a nice manager Steve who said oh I will give it to Subs just give me a day or so it’s gonna take to get on your account and I said thank you he was very nice called today to days later talk to a girl Christina who is screaming at me saying there’s no way he’s giving you to Subs when you bought one and I’m not even calling for them just calling to see if they’re on my account yet because I have to call him it’s going on anon screaming at me telling me there’s no way he said that she is the most rudest person I’ve ever talk to at a restaurant they need to get somebody else nicer there she has no right screaming at me I am 65 years old she sounded like a young little punk trust me after I get my two free subs I will never go back there again
Truck driver trying a new restaurant.. I just have to call it like it is... I grabbed the buffalo chicken sandwich... had to give them my five star my biggest fear when it come to be restaurants its the bread they bread is good not the softest but its soft... clean restaurant... very professional when taking your order... I highly recommend this place but the sandwich is really good
Ordered two Buffalo Chicken subs, waited 45 minutes, drove home and opened them up to see they didnt put any buffalo sauce on either sub. Not sure how you forget that... They offered to remake them, told me 30 min, had to drive back, waited an hour, and Im not exaggerating. Drove back home, the new subs had essentially zero sauce on them... Almost 2 hours and 2 trips later I ate half my dry sub and gave up. The first Buffalo Chicken sub and the second remake shown in photos below. Avoid the Cheektowaga location.
I placed a catering order with Alyssa for Dibellas which was my first time, she was professional, caring and accurate in making sure the order was correct by going over it. Once I received the order for 2 different sub trays, everyone spoke highly of the presentation, and the individual that picked up the order for me was very impressed with the service. My grandson and I have always, prior to 2020, would always go on Saturdays for our outing and our time together, however, since then we dont stay at the restaurant, but we still go and have our outing with Dibellas by utilizing the take out service and some of the employees know us and my grandson just loves it that they acknowledge us. My family and I love Dibellas and the service we receive. Very professional, caring, and most importantly we have never been treated as a number, but as a part of their family. All I can say is my family and I have always received professional customer service and the subs are ALWAYS AMAZING, INCREDIBLE AND VERY GOOD 👍 👏 😀.
So I do enjoy their Godfather sub. Its always tasty and pretty loaded. I havent had it and regreted it.Then there is their Chicken Bacon Ranch. Its a very slim sub. Not much chicken or bacon for the size of the roll. Its rather disappointing for a $14 sub.So this a great place for a cold cuts sub like the Godfather, but as far as chicken subs, you will be better off going to Wegmans sub shop.
Do not come here, I had a friend who worked here almost a year ago and quit after 3 months. The GM and District manger dose not care about anything other than money. Staff is treated terribly which is why there is such a high turn over. The GM has favorites and runs the place like a high school. If a employee tests positive for covid there is no testing of other employees who came in direct contact with them as well as no sanitation of the store after a positive test. If you get injured while working you must still work. If there is a death in the family you still must come in as well. Staff gets screamed at constantly. The GM comes in early to watch the cameras from the night before to find things to yell about when it comes to the night crew. Minors are kept after 10 or later sometimes even though they are scheduled till 9:30. Please do not support this company.
Great bread! The small sandwich is quite big. My first time there I saw them weigh the meat and I first thought oh no this is going to be a bread sandwich;however, this was not the case and there is plenty of meat. They have a lot of different spreads and toppings that can be added. Service can be improved. The last two times I have been there (within a week) it took a while for someone to help me and I was the only one there at the time.
Tried to place an order with the app with the new user coupon. App said store was closed. I called the Union Rd. location to confirm, but location was open. They were nice enough to take my order over the phone and let me use the coupon when I paid. They asked for my payment info over the phone.Little did I know, they processed the transaction while I drove there without the coupon I mentioned several times during the order. That transaction made my bank balance negative. To their credit they refunded me and applied the coupon, but the reversal of the transaction will take some days to go through while Im left with less than zero money until payday. The staff did not care anyway shape or form that they messed up my money for this week.Bottom line the staffs carelessness is costing me money. One star.
I have eaten at this location several times. Every sub I have ordered at DiBellas has been delightful, but I especially like their cold subs (customized or off the menu)! The bread is always fresh plus high quality deli meat is used and the cold veggies are always fresh. The staff have never made a mistake with my order and on one occasion went above and beyond to customize a sandwich that is ordinarily served as a salad (Turkey club). I have been present when a customer reports a problem and the response is always the same: (1) an apology is offered politely and (2) the problem is corrected quickly. On the wall behind the prep counter is a reminder that running a restaurant is similar to managing a baseball team and every employee I have encountered seems to buy-in to that approach. Teamwork is valued and demonstrated here.
The staff first ignored us for a solid few minutes before not even saying hello. He just look at us and said “what do you want?” In a way that made it seem like we were the biggest inconvenience ever. They gave me a number and I payed and waited for my sub. It did not come after 20 minutes so I went up just to ask if it would be out soon ( not even in a rude tone just literally to see if it was coming). The women then said “ I don’t know that’s not even my order” then proceeded not to make my sub. Can’t even tell you who she was because she didn’t wear a name tag. This place has consistently gotten worse and worse it’s a real same.
I really hate writing negative reviews but this is twice with in 2 months that they go so slow and cant get an order correct. Waited almost an hour for 4 simple subs..... very under staffed and a manager who is running around like a mad man. Whole time grubhub and online orders are backing up. With many coming back in to get order fixed....
There are a few things that you come to learn about if you live in Buffalo. Pizza, wings, subs and Bills mafia are all taken very seriously. With that being said, many people will head to Jims steakhouse, and yet others still prefers Scotties, when it comes to a sub. Now dont get me wrong, both places are unique to the city. But sometimes you just want that deli style sandwich. No fancy sauce, or over the top meat combinations, not to mention no crazy far out named subs. Just a plain Jane sandwich, that is what Dibellas is all about. If your not familiar with how the sandwiches taste here, imagine a Wegmans sub but better. Condiments, meat and especially the bread are all fresh and very good. Did I mention the bread is great?
Ok, sub sandwiches. Not the rave of old fashioned as advertised. The bread is excellent. Mediocre for the rest of the sandwich. Staff was short handed this day in particular. Relatives from the West coast love the place. My opinion, above both Subway and Firehouse Subs, but not by much. Definitely CAN wait until the next time.
Every time I go to DiBellas its a waste of my money. Ordered online, waited 37 mins for food and had to call yo remind them I was outside.Get home and my sandwich is mush because so much mayo and mustard was placed on it.A $10 sandwich has more mustard and mayo and turkey and Ham. Im done. Go to Wegmans across the street and save yourself the disappointment.
Visited from Alabama after trading about Dibellas subs on a blog. Got the Godfather and daughter got meatball sub. 2 people could actually split a small in my opinion. The 1sr thing we noticed in this store was the friendliness of the staff, and the wonderful way they interacted with each other. ( What an asset these employees are to this business). Subs were wonderful, bread amazing. We loved everything about the food and this location. We visited on 6/6/19 around 1pm.
I like Dibella’s food but don’t expect this location to get your order right. They forget to put the cold veggies on after putting grilled veggies on. It’s happened a couple times.. usually I go to the Transit location and don’t have a problem. I submitted feedback and they haven’t even gotten back to me. At least at Subway I get to watch them make my sub and I know it’s right. Disappointing customer service.
This review is for people that have had Wegmans subs but have never been to DiBellas. if you like them at Wegmans youll love them in the DiBellas store. Man that bread is fresh.I have to recommend the meatball sub. I cant say they are as good as moms meatballs but they are tasty. Also, damn that whole sub is huge.
Placed an order via the app...sub was ready when i walked in to grab it off the rack for instore online pickups. My name and what it should have been on the receipt with my name highlighted. Upon getting home and opening it, my large godfather was a cheesesteak sub instead. Again, everything on the receipt said it was right. I live about half an hour away, so bringing it back wasnt an option.I shouldnt have to check my order based on the app order process for it to be right 🤷♂️
I just went into order a sub was asked how I was doing I said Im fine then was told to take a number I was the only one in there and then I as soon as I grabbed the number they said can I help you and can I take your order and started laughing that is very unprofessional and I will be calling the manager in the morning that is uncalled for
This place screwed up my food not ONCE but TWICE!!! So when I called in to tell them the “manager “ about the misshapp she stated that I must have went to a different location because there is nothing in the computer about my steak and meatball sub... they did NOT give me a receipt, so unfortunately I can’t do anything about it!!!! Even tho~ it’s clearly their fault!!!!! I will never go here again and it’s a shame bc their food is actually good!!! I also think that the manager Lisa lacks in customer service skills it would be great if they had a nicer manager call me back who actually cares about the customers!!! I will be calling cooperate on her, at this point I don’t even care about the food, I’m taken back by such rudeness the so called manager gave me!!!
I can remember when I was a young lad and me father taking me in through the old bakery doors. Me poor young head couldnt even see over the counter, but the memory of that first sub as I took a bite out of its whole. I dont live very close to DiBellas but I always take a trip to one once every few months to enjoy remembering memories and making new ones.
Man I got the GODFATHER sub. Man talking about a goid wholesome fresh sandwich???? Oooh yeah buddy thats the one. You can even build your own sandwich. It was a little pricy but definitely worth it. My girlfriend had Steak and. Spinach with roasted red peppers amd mushrooms. Holy cow I went there at about 3 oclock I ate a 4th of a whole sub and Im atill stuffed. I took pictures
On April 27 I went and got a sub to take to work when I bit into it what I thought was an onion it wasnt it was the plastic thats wrapped around the the the lunch meat it wasnt just once but throughout the sub it was a horrible for first experience. The guy that waited on us was really nice
Really good subs at a nice price.Whoever said its pricey is crazy. You cant get out of McDs under $7 these days for garbage food, so $6.50 for the Jimmy Johns sized old fashioned on wheat is a bargain, especially since its better than JJs. 8.50 for really sammich the size of your forearm is fine deal. Ill be back for more!
Ordered online for curbside pickup and waited for 10 extra mins while trying to call their number listed on the parking spot. Meanwhile the gentleman behind the counter was looking at us the whole time. Subs were not made to what we ordered so we had to pick the toppings off. Not a good experience this time.

2022-06-13Use to be one of my favorites for sub sandwiches. The last few times I have been there, their food is wayyy to salty. They need to take the salt out unless specifically requested or by higher quality low sodium deli meats...

2022-04-27I had a sub after asking one of the servers what their favorite was. I was very pleased with the quality and the flavor. my husband used to work close enough to one of the Di Bella restaurants and he would go there for lunch quite often. now that hes retired he is not driving that vicinity very frequently. when I brought him a sub home he was licking his chops and ate the whole thing, the large one! LOL

2022-06-273 online orders, all 3 said no mayo. All 3 had mayo. Third time was last straw as I took the loss on the first 2. Not even an apology when I returned it.

2020-09-07Best subs you can get hands down. They have the same supplier as Wegmans, but idk how, theyre subs are soooo much better than Wegmans. They must do something different. Theyre about twice the size of a subway sub. Meat is always fresh and you can taste the difference. Pepper jack cheese, hot peppers, onions and lettuce are always fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly, have never had an issue. Was hard to hear them with the masks and plastic boards. Other than that another great experience. Wishing theyd expand down south, theyd blow away the competition.

2021-12-30Wanted to try something. Ive never had dibellas before so I ordered a cold sub, Turkey and salami. The bread was definitely hard, but it didnt taste bad (The bread). The sub as a whole Im not a big fan of it. Definitely had better. But the staff are friendly and its a clean environment.I give it a 3 because the staff as a whole made the experience a good one. They have awesome team work from what Ive seen. I would have loved to rate it a 5 but the sub just didnt do it for me.

2022-04-25Sub very dry 2 pickles on entire sub. Girl encouraged us to leave and not wait cause they were short staffed and we would have to wait. Very rude and rushed us on ordering. Had to go back up numerous times cause what we ordered on r subs were missing. Girl was extremely rude. Went back up to ask for more Mayo since it was so dry and she laughed at us and stated they were busy. Wow. $18 a sub and get treated and dismissed and laughed at

2019-11-25Delicious bread, fresh ingredients. Our last stop in the Buffalo tour we did today. We ate a portion of each sub in the restaurant, and are taking the rest home for dinner. Their subs remind me a lot of a few places back home in CT (although we call them grinders 😊). To me, bread is one of the most important parts of a sub. If the bread sucks, the whole thing is ruined for me. Their bread is chewy on the inside, crusty on the outside.. a perfect sub bread. I got the Godfather which was salami, capicola, and spicy ham. There was a stack of meat and an equal amount of toppings, nice proportions for a bit with everything in it. The steak and cheese we ordered ended up being on the wrong bread which was a bit disappointing. We also thought it could use a bit more mayonnaise (if youre into mayo on a steak n cheese). We really liked the decor in there, very 50s diner style. Thanks for some great food, Buffalo! See you soon!
