What can I say.... Last minute place to go eat we needed.... Found it on Google... Place was clean, food was very good and the owner and team were very welcoming... We will be coming back!
I was Never a BBQ Fan until my son introduced me to Dickeys on Rockaway Turnpike in 5 Towns. Apparently for years they have been catering to local precincts. I swear you feel right at home you are allowed to sample foods. The only time I heard about fried Ocra is probably in the movies. They serve that here. Through out the pandemic they were there for the community like you cant believe. The Ribs, Brisket, pulled chicken, rolls, jalapeño beans but my all time favorite THE GREEN BEANS. Thre has to be a magic potion in this, Ive given this to everyone I know and get the same reaction.. to die for. I absolutely Love this place. Oh they take safety very seriously so do Not forget your mask
First and last time ordering from this place food was burnt chicken had feathers on it very disappointed
Food was poor. Had meager portions of chicken in the sandwich. Looked like it was on a $1 McDonalds menu instead off being over $10 worth with a side. Ordered for pickup at 11am so I could beat the lunch rush. Ended up waiting for 20 min. Only one person was working. Tried using loyalty points and was told I had to alert the staff firsts even though it says 29+ min until exp. poor food and horrible customer service. Avoid at all costs if you value your money and time
Incompetence runs rampant at this Dickeys.Work ethics are questionable whereas theyre un-attentive to detail, no bbq sauce from a bbq place; no napkins, no reciept, no respect when addressing customers.
Delicious ribs, brisket and pulled pork. The sweet bbq sauce is fantastic.
If I could give no star at all I would. I came in on Sunday 8/23 to order some food. I was there for about twenty minutes trying to order on the app. I showed the manager the message I was getting stating the web service was down for their location because it placed my order at the Brooklyn store. She was extremely rude saying that other customers did not have a problem with ordering and rudely showed me two receipts (not within 6 feet) of two transactions that went through. She did not try to resolve the issue AT ALL. I was explaining to the cook about the web issue then she yelled CAN YOU PLEASE STEP BACK 6 FEET Even though she was in the same distance of her showing me the two receipts. Then she finally asked the cook what I wanted to order but did not ask me. This is the second time I’ve had a bad experience with the manager at this location. She is rude. I believe she said her name was Claudette or something like that.
They would not accept my gift card. The manager said they dont have a machine to accept it. However there is a magnetic band on the back. Wouldnt you just swipe it like a credit card? They also left out 2 items from my order. I pressed the button on the credit card machine for a printed receipt but I didnt receive it so I dont know if I paid for the items. I read the back of the gift card and it didnt say participating restaurants so there should have been no reason it should not be accepted.
The owner of the place was so pleasant. Her welcoming sweet demeanor alone would make me return again and again. Food was good not the best I ever had but it was good, we had brisket, pulled pork and ribs. The sauces were good. Most importantly the service was great... this is not a fancy sit down dinner place, but def worth a try!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. VERY RUDE staff. On February 8, 2021 at 6:15pm, I went there to use my royalty points for a sandwich and they refused! I had pushed the button to redeem the code on my phone app 10 minutes before arrival and the staff (dark skinned lady with dark round glasses) refused to let me use my reward points claiming that the staff MUST enter it. However, the instructions on my phone said I could enter it myself and I just have to go to the restaurant within 30 minutes.The staff had accused me to using the code at another Dickeys 30 plus minutes away (claiming it was only 10 minutes away) and using it again at this one. (with NYC traffic, are you kidding me!??!?!)Very rude and I will NEVER go to Dickeys again!
Food is generally very good. Vivid situation must be straining them. Pulled pork was nothing but Ill filled scraps, no flavor or barbeque sauce. Specifically ordered lean chopped brisket, not even close. Called to complain and woman who answered phone argued with me about issues, I didnt bother to take it back. Wont be ordering from them any time soon
I really loved my dining experience here. The food was great, but even better than the food was the service and the joyful banter between our party and the owner (who my friend who has been there multiples times tells me is always super friendly and attentive).
I can’t believe this even exists in New York at all! Food is good and it’s easy to pick up food from here. Convenient. Not the best BBQ ever but generally way more solid than a normal fast food place.
I like this venue a lot. there is a romantic feeling. The cuisine is splendid. the service is powerful and the personel is friendly. The cost is honest. very much recommend.
The food is good but the lady working Sunday 9/6/2020 so rude, like she didnt want to be there. This is why you get 2 stars. Then all stared when I placed online order which states is curbside, she said no is not I came inside, then filled kids cup with more ice than soda, and over spilled on the table she noticed the mess the table made. Just rude
Ordered lunch to go. Half rack of ribs and the 3 meat plate. I will say this restaurant is exceptionally clean and the employee working was very friendly. The food was the perfect temperature and not overly seasoned or dry. The flavor was the proper amount of smoke and I would call it better than the average BBQ you would normally find in this area. I would return here again.
Food is good, I ordered the brisket which was very tender, the mac & cheese, and potato casserole. Prices are a little steep but definitely worth it. Establishment is clean and well kept, staff is friendly and swift. Will Definitely return with the family!
This place is my favored. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very helpful and the food they serve is so appetizing. I never decline to have a nice meal in this place. Highly recommended.
The food and service were both fantastic! The employee was very helpful in helping me figure out what I wanted to eat and the owner came to check up on me mid meal, both were very pleasant and deserve all 5 stars in this review! The brisket was juicy and tender and the mac&cheese was AMAZING, I think I found my new Bbq spot!
Im in love with with Dickeys because the meat is succulent and juicy. I also love the fried okra they have.Mac and cheese is really deliciousPulled pork and brisket A1Turkey delicious too. Oh and they have my favorite waffle fries. My daughter Anari is 6 and says mom dont take me to mcdonalds take me to Dickeys because the chicken nuggets are real 😂🤣🤣🤣🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🦵🏽 kids lol. I just ordered from them. I did the 2 for 25. It was the best food I’ve had in a long time. I 100% recommended. Thank you for staying open during Quarantine. The food was amazing. Tasteful. Everything I had order was good.
On the website, the food looks very pretty. However, when it arrived I had a feeling that I should not eat this. I was very hungry after the flight, and I ate 1/3. Next morning my stomach was hurting. Fortunately, I did not eat the whole plate and I am still alive.

Ordered through uber. everything was well seasoned and flavorful. Pulled pork had an incredibly flavorful smoke rind. Brisket was just right... meat seperated without falling apart. Ribs were big and meaty, definitely not the ribs you get from fridays type places.

Well, when I got there the staff were moving really slow. Also when we wanted fried, we got a bag of chips. Second the food had a weird smell and didnt taste good. And the ice cream smelled a bit rubbery and also, like the food, did not taste well. And the soda... dont even get me started.

I order a big yellow cup they send me a small paid extra for that packing is not good order on doordash they could have put it in a plastic bag the ribs dont have no grill taste they bake it in a oven I was looking for that smoked taste no smoke tastes at all no more
First time there but well be back. The food is good and prices arent bad. Right now they just opened so a little rough around the edges but a definite go to again.
Great bbq with friendly helpful staff offering a taste to help you make a choice between their inviting selections. I had the delicious ribs and took home some tender pulled pork for another meal. The waffle fries and onion ring tanglers round out a really good meal.
We had a wonderful at this spot. We enjoyed the nice vibes and the menu. The staff members are very personal. I’m happy we eventually managed to visit here.

The Ambrosia, I mean Brisket is directly from God. I mean by way of Moses good. This place is amazing. Wonderful service! The meats are sooo good. I had Brisket and Ribs (falling off the bone good). My new favorite spot!

First time here. Had the ribs, and some fixins(lol). Everything was great!! Ribs not too greasy and well flavored, no need for sauce. Will definitely be back. Oh and the service was excellent. They were helpful and friendly.
The meat was choice! Very delicate and delicious! Macaroni was phoney and without flavor. lol not that homemade baked taste. I ordered the meat plate and wished I had more of those delicious rolls!! First time ordering, wont be the last! Perfect for portion control, but for a glutton like me, Id like a lil extra meat and rolls!
Delicious as always the most tenderist fall off the bone goodness I wish they had more southern-style mac and cheese and I think their biscuits should be cornbread but I only go for the ribs which never fail to satisfy

Went for an Uber pick up, waited 30 minutes, after that, the man at the front said that it was going to take another 25 minutes in a very aggressive manner, very rude staff, they don’t care about their business.
They catered our wedding last year in August. I love their food, but even more so, their staff are amazing. Warm, humorous and knows their stuff.

I did not like this place at all because when I went there I ordered chicken and chips and instead of chips they gave me french fries and there ice cream was horrible it did not have the creamy taste and there soda was also horrible because it was not even cold.

2021-08-06Terrible my first time ever and my last time the wing are so small and also they give a wing tip as a wing the wing tip just has skin. I would of gave you guys no star but this is the lowest Don’t order from here your better off at Popeyes. I also ordered 9 wings and got a wing tip come on you guys violated my order.

2021-05-23We set up a luncheon for my stepfather and his sister. We are huge fans of Dickeys in Lawrence. We are always well cared for by the owner and her family. We had the pleasure of being served by Kayla the owners daughter and she went above and beyond to make sure we were all set! The food, as always, was amazing! My family loved it and it made the day very special! Thank you so much! Even the dog, Brady enjoyed it!

Mac and cheese was scrumptious as it was gently catered, for the coleslaw was a relish of summer 😌 .Enjoyed an abundance of tasty ribs and burnt brisket ends, as well as the whole brisket all around. As the meat here is one too put down in your books because you won’t forget the flavor, texture and hospital service!

2022-01-22Ordered here for the first time looking for some yummy BBQ. Im sorry to say but Im so disappointed. The Mac n Cheese taste like processed or canned cheese 😣 the beans and brisket wasnt to good. I couldnt finish. the bread is hard as a rock, the ribs have ZERO SEASONING on them.. The ice tea and brownie was slamming 😋 😑 😢 Im sorry to say but if you want BBQ trust me, Dickeys isnt it!

2021-05-29I ordered the Brisket and the Turkey!Both along with the barbecue sauce was amazing!Its a family business and all members seem to take pride in ownership and what they are serving.I ordered a pound of each. It was great!The only ding that I could find is that outside of fountain drinks they only have bottle water, so I had to grab a gallon of ice tea from elsewhere.
