Rt.110-Melville , NY storeI needed a couple of items in the golf section of the store. Golf shoes were not organized by size , styles were mixed up , no pricing signage to be seen . If there was/is any clearance items they were not to be found , again nothing to designate items as such . I had seen on line a number of clearance items that were supposed to be in stores - nope .Yes , the store is physically well maintained . On a positive note , during this trip was the store greeter (Dave) , to direct me where I needed to go in store to find golf dept . Pleasant , easy to speak with and knew the layout of the building . Kudos to him .
The employees in this store are terrible, rude, disrespectful and disgusting. When I tried to contact this stupid store to complain about it, they ignored my calls, customer service texts, etc. Absolutely terrible and disgusting. The rude employees were a blonde lady and big brown haired man. Fire them now. ⚠️DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!⚠️
Rude, inconsiderate and incompetent staff including the managers. Corporate should take a very close look at the level of customer service the employees are giving at what is supposed to be a flagship store with a large amount of public visibility in Long Island, NY. Incredible amount of negative vibe and attitude of the employees. This store does not meet any expectations with respects to customer service with zero professionalism by any of its employees. It feels like the store is being run by a bunch of high school kiddies who don’t care, don’t give a damn, and eager to punch out when their shift is over.
Ken in fishing and tackle provided complete customer service. He helped me find the perfect gift for my husband. It’s a new Shimano top of the line reel and a special fishing set for my grandson to fish with his Grandpa. I couldn’t wait to give my husband the gift and know in the future where to go.Thank you.BRS
The problem with this store is that its hard to find someone to help you. Theres never anyone around and when they do appear they are either uninterested, impolite, or not well informed.When Ive called to check on whether something is in stock Ive been left on hold for 15 minutes. It would have been quicker and less painful for me to drive down there and check for myself. In fairness, however, this problem is not restricted to the Melville store--Ive had similar experiences at other branches.
Place is ok. Went in looking for something, found a store clerk and asked him if he carried a certain product. He talked into this little mike like a secret agent and waited and waited till finally someone told him where to take me to it. Well, we got there after walking all the way across the store to find out it wasnt there! He just looked at me and walked away. I had to just laugh and walked out of the store.
Item had a sale tag on it and when I brought it to the register it was a higher price. The cashier called someone in the department who denied the sign was there and removed the tag. Fortunately I had a picture on my phone of the sign this caused a bunch of umms and ohs as we stood in front of the now unlabeled item comparing it to the picture I had just taken. It was pretty hard for them to explain.
They have everything they accept coupons I went to both of them one is in the Sunrise Mall and the other I had to go to Huntington because they were out of something very accommodating item was waiting for me all your sporting goods and more plenty of parking handicap available
Employees were not very helpful in this location. They didnt seem busy but instead of taking me to find what I was looking for, they only pointed to the area. The person who checked me out was in a daze, leaving my 3 items on the counter and didnt offer me a bag as if I was supposed to take them like that.
-Its really a sports *apparel* store now, and everything is really expensive but its no more expensive than any other commercial sporting goods store-Every employee in the store is on their phone which is great if you dont want anyone to talk to you-Attached to the hunting store next door which I take a moral issue with-Inventory note, they dont sell kites or kite stuff

2022-05-27Went to the bike department guy there about 6’3 white maybe in 50s with long brown and gray hair was talking to another associate after he left I ask for help I said how you doing guy behind the desk looks at me never greets or acknowledged I was there I was ignored so I went to the shoe department cause I also need shoes for my daughter. After getting the shoes, the same guy was putting up helmets so I waited patiently by the bike department desk he then looks at me again doesn’t help. I wasn’t rude if you need context I was just simply waiting for assistance which I never received. I’m also black I would say I’m intimidating if that was a thing but it sure felt like it cause he seem perfectly fine talking to his associate but with me I was ignored and look at like I didn’t deserve help. I proceeded to buy my daughters shoes I left I didn’t ask for a manager because I was upset at that point it didn’t want to make it a big deal but I’m never going back there again.

2022-05-24Jamie was AMAZING. She was so helpful with helping me find everything I needed and also giving me suggestions based off what I needed. She also was a pleasure to chat with. Not only that but I accidentally sliced myself in the fitting room (totally my fault, I’m clumsy) and she rushed to my aid haha! I probably asked this poor girl for help a million times and each time she happily assisted me. Darryl was also so kind and patient at checkout when I realized I grabbed the wrong thing and couldn’t decide between a couple items. He told me to “treat myself” and gave me fabulous fashion advice. The team there is amazing and I’m always greater and asked if I need help.

2021-12-31Walked in to return an online order yesterday. So many people available for questions! Ken helped me find a different size and he was so helpful/responsive to information I received online about my order! Good selection, great location (especially in comparison to garden city location).

2021-10-17Store is great but entrance/door staff are uneducated and not helpful. I walked in and asked where are the CO2 cartridges, the person at the door said we dont sell them anymore.I said they sent me here from the Massapequa store (30 min. away) because they said it was guaranteed that you carry them since you have a hunting department in this location. He didnt even care. Since I was there, I said let me go to the hunting section and ask. I went l to the firearms section and asked the gentleman behind the counter, and he pointed me to the right direction. There was literally half an isle of 12g CO2 cartridges. When I was walking towardsthe register, the guy at the door looked at me and was smirking. The the management of this operation: Why do you hire these people? They are useless and actually steer customers away rather than being helpful. What a disgrace. Otherwise, the store has a tremendous selection and better than most other places.
