Diller in other cities:
Best vegetarian burger I’ve ever had!!! Everything is cooked with such care and the flavors are immaculate! I got almost everything on the menu and wish I got even more. The fried pickles, okra rice balls, and Reuben egg roll are perfect compliments to the burgers and fries, which are fried to perfection. The watermelon lemonade is so refreshing! You’d be hard pressed to find a better vegetarian burger in NYC! Be sure to get the roasted onion aioli!
SO GOOD. I ordered the burger combo with their pickled pineapple lemonade. Honestly, one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and it’s meatless! 10/10 recommend. The lemonade was so unique - kinda sweet, kinda sour, tangy, and delicious. Would DEFINITELY order again. The service is also exceptional!
Such a great innovative place. Every item on the menu is completely unique and has so much thought put into it. Staff is very sweet. Literally couldnt stop thinking about the fried Pickles for weeks later. Also really loved the brined fries and loaded tatertots. (Bonus: Its kosher!!!!)
Small menus generally mean higher quality and Diller is no exception. The fried pickles were perfect, the fries were some of the best Ive had, and the the pickled pineapple lemonade was just incredible. We tried 5 or 6 of the sauces and they were all amazing, Id recommend the honey mustard or the xxx death sauce. Also, the atmosphere is really nice and the guys working there were very friendly. We had such a great time and cant wait to go back!
Finally got a chance to go here after what seems like years since I saw they were planning on opening. Their beyond burger was amazing as well their fried pickles. I was planning on sharing their watermelon lemonade drink but after 2 sips, I had to get one for myself. We didnt like their fries much but it wasnt bad either. Overall , we def plan to come back many more times
Pickle lovers, this is the place for you! Came here for an event before they opened officially. Its been on my to do list to return. Writing this review so I can write an updated one when I finally go back. Everything we tried was really good the first time around. The watermelon lemonade was really refreshing. They also have a pickled pineapple lemonade which is both sweet, but has that briney pickle taste and somehow it all works. We sampled things off the menu. There were two options. You either get the beyond burger, their brined fries and fried pickles or the reuben egg roll, pickled okra rice balls and jalapeno poppers. I went with the first option. The beyond burger was really good. It was the first one Ive ever tried and I was pretty impressed. Their brined fries are really good and their fried pickles are the best I have. They have a bunch of delicious sauce options too. Everyone who got the other options loved what they had as well. I really need to go back and try some of their new menu options like their tacos and loaded tater tots. Everyone their is also super nice. Check it out!
Absolutely love this place! Staff is always friendly and food comes out quickly! Fried pickles here are the best and unlike other places, they keep overnight. Dont sleep on the sauces either. Its worth paying a few bucks extra to get more.Pro-tip: Make sure you get an mask!
This place had been on my radar for some time. While I didnt have a lot of time, and no where near enough room in my stomach, I was overwhelmed with the description and pictures of the Okra Rice balls and Rueben Egg Roll. They were everything I had imagined and more. The pairing of sauces is impeccable. The Sriracha Aioli and Onion Aioli were perfect with each.Im planning my next pre-flight excursion to include a Beyond Burger and the signature Fried Pickles. This is NOT a snack bar as listed with Google. While you can grab a snack they have a full meal menu with spectacular flavor combinations. They are also very dietary conscious. They offer vegan, gluten free, and Kosher options.Well worth the time if you have it.
Pickled theme fast food joint serving up a small yet delicious selection of burgers and fries. All of the food is prepared on order, so its guaranteed fresh and hot. First time having a beyond meat type burger, and I have to say, the texture and flavor and very comparable to animal-based protein. The space itself is small with limited indoor and outdoor seating.
I had heard great things about Diller and finally got to try it this evening. It did NOT disappoint. I had the vegan version of the burger, and my boyfriend had the vegetarian burger. Mine was amazing. Perfectly cooked with such a delicious sauce. (My boyfriend said the vegetarian version with cheese was also amazing.) A lot of times having a vegan version of a menu item means forgoing a tasty sauce, but not here! They had vegan versions of several sauces, and I really liked the Comeback sauce we had with our fries. The fries are really good on their own, too. I love that they have the essence of dill pickle. Such a yummy side for our burgers. The folks at Diller were so wonderful too, even after what I’m sure was a very busy Sunday. I’m looking forward to trying the fried pickles next time I go, which I’m sure will be very soon.
Hands down one of the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out!!!! First of, the staff/owner are super friendly and will help you if you have no clue. Second, the food was so good! I will definitely come back again, I will actually go out of my way to go back. Third, the pickle store next door is amazing. You have to try it!I know there are sauces recommended, for the fried pickles I actually recommend trying it with onion aioli, I don’t know to me it was just a very tasty combination.
Me and my brother loved this place! Diller is connected to the amazing The Pickle Guys next door (they pickle absolutely everything!). We got the Brined Fries, the Egg Roll, and got to try the Fried Pickles. Everything was tasty, especially the fries with all the various different sauces. Mike was also super friendly and welcoming. Thank you for the awesome experience. See you soon!
Went to Diller today and it was amazing!! Food was delicious and packed with flavor. Service was amazing as well which is unexpected in such a small place. The manager Mike is kind and helpful in making your order. He helped us pick what to order for our 1 year old and he was spot on, the baby devoured it happily! 100% recommend!!
Mike one of the owners was most personable and helpful. He made the dining experience very enjoyable. Now for the burger! It was excellent- never had a veggie burger. It was so tasty and had it just the way Mike recommended. The fries were fresh and crispy! Highly recommend!
Friendly staff. Absolutely delicious gluten free ingredient pickles and fries (shared fryer oil). We loved the Diller yogurt sauce, and our watermelon lemonade were excellent as well. Would definitely return. The pickle guys next door were great too! Would return if in area for sure.
Diller is fantastic. I have been coming here since their opening weekend and their fried pickles with diller sauce are scrumptious. I have not tried their burgers, yet, but can attest that the rice balls and the fries are awesome. Don’t miss the watermelon and pickled pineapple lemonades-they’re both delicious.
Reasons why I did not like Diller: 1) The store was a little busy when I visited and the counter attendants (there were 3 guys) took very long to help me and my family (a couple with one kid). The problem was not waiting that long, the problem was that all guys decided that a specific group of customers, all young ladies, deserved more attention than anybody else. Were in the middle of a pandemic and I really wanted to avoid spending too much time inside a small store. We waited, waited, and waited. If you have 3 guys behind the counter, youd expect at least one of them to come and help the next customer (us) or politely let us know that we would be helped soon. 2) So besides waiting and witnessing those guys trying to flirt with those young ladies, we had to deal with very bad manners when one of them finally (maybe after 6 or 7 minutes?) came to help us. After he dumped our pickles inside a container, in a kind of rush, he didnt say anything, not even a thank you for being patient, and we havent even said anything or complained. This was an absolutely horrid experience, a shame to call them pickle experts. And 3) Our garlicky pickles were soggy and the container leaked. The guy really packed it in a rush. I CANNOT in good conscience recommend this place.
5 star for the customer service,Cashier was very polite, friendly and customer oriented.2 star for food:French fries: very greasy and way too soggy ( I ate it right away ).Fried pickles chips: very small bites and bland frozen food taste.I was expecting a more homemade type of fast food, especially with the fried pickles, bigger slices and a crusty batter...Too pricey
I discovered this place out of the blue, while wandering through the LES/Chinatown earlier tonight. Wow, what a find! Without a doubt the best meatless burger I’ve had anywhere in the city, top-notch fresh fries (yes, there IS a difference), and a refreshing watermelon lemonade? It really doesn’t get much better than that. On top of it all, the co-owner (sorry, I didn’t get your name) was a great guy. I’d eat here every day if I could, and will most definitely be back soon. Thanks for the awesome meal!
Diller is a great vegan/vegetarian place to eat and have a sit outside or to go! Their vegetarian eggs rolls are flavorful and the pickles are outstanding!!! Moreover they have a variety of housemade sauces that bring a kick to the food.Mike one of the partners talked about how the place was created and the staff was very friendly. Thanks again Diller!
The absolute best fried pickles in the city! And don’t even get me started on the egg roll and Pickle Monster. The owner was so nice and cracked us up. He was multitasking between phone orders and customers seated at tables, and still attended to us very quickly, and checked back to see how everything was. That’s not service you get at a little to go place! Dillers is my new favorite stop!!!
I found my people! Ferments, veg menu, and fabulous guys in the kitchen and next door packing pickles. My sister and I split the beyond burger combo, fried pickles, and both the watermelon and pineapple lemonades. We also had a generous helping of sauces that were all delicious (thanks Mike for making a fresh batch of aioli for us!). Be sure to drop next door to take home a few pints - the onions, mango, and hot sours are all out of this world! Way to make it kosher! Definitely will be back.
What a refreshing new place to eat Diller is and right next to my favorite pickle spot. Im happy The Pickle Guys decided to make an extension on something theyve been cornering the market on! Its great for a quick bite or with a group of friends. Although space is limited, the park is just a block away and youre able to enjoy their delicious food on the benches. Amazing to see them develop something you just dont get around the Lower East Side.My favorite is (of course) their signature fried pickles as well as the rice balls. Brine fries is a close 3rd to my list. Beyond Burger is a nice touch with its popularity. Ive been trying to cut down on meat and its a nice substitute. All in all, Im grateful for their hard work and will happily recommend to anyone. Great food and staff! Keep up the good work fellas!
I opened the box and saw how packed the box was. I took some photos of the fries to send to my sister since she had them before and recommended the roasted onion aioli sauce. I took a fry out and ate it. It was different. I took another to eat to figure out the taste. My brother in law said it was brine in pickle juice. Very interesting. I also tried the sauce and it was good. Also tried the comeback sauce. I was eating them and then my sister comes home and clearly I forgot to send her the photos. If youre looking for crunchy fries, these arent but they werent exactly soggy. Its a bit addictive. Fries tasted good with and without the sauce. I also got their watermelon lemonade. It came in a cool plastic bag that stands up. You can zip it up when youre not drinking it. You tasted both the watermelon and lemonade. I forgot to shake it so it was sour from the lemonade haha
Nice fast-food representation of what the Pickle Guys next door has to offer! awesome flare of pickled flavors, and with the dishes being meat-free you never feel too heavy afterwards. The Loaded Tots are truly loaded with flavor... and if you order nothing else, the Brined Fries are a MUST.
The fried pickles are crispy and DELICIOUS! Most fried pickles around the neighborhood are soggy and gross. All the sauces are great too! If you like pickles and fried pickles come here!Really interested in the beyond burger. It looks really good. And the people who work here are really great and nice!
Delicious vegetarian kosher place. Good staff. Highly recommend the rice balls. The burger has a nice kick to it, and if you want real spice, go with the death sauce. Divine!!!OH and their drinks are crazy. The pickled lemonade has a nice kick to it too, and the watermelon lemonade is also great. A little less tangy so its more palatable for the general public.Get everything and then go down the block to Doughnut Plant for an amazing selection of desserts!
The popular fried pickles chips are gluten free and vegan yall and they are worth every last delicious bite. Seasoned to perfection and paired with ketchup, it is the perfect afternoon snack! Love love loved it. Also the owner is the nicest guy Ive ever ran into on NYC - bless that man and all his hard pickle work.
Diller’s fried and pickled dishes are delicious and incredibly filling. Even the brined French fries have just the right tang to be not only different, but really tasty. They have an excellent choice of sauces to keep things interesting and the portion sizes are generous, especially considering the reasonable prices (I believe almost everything on the menu is under $10). The folks who work here are also super friendly and personable which I always find to be a big positive. I highly recommend Diller if you have a large appetite. This place is not for those seeking a light snack because you won’t find it here.
Well lets see the fried pickles could be better and I have taste better so I am a little disappointed. My wife had the Orka rice balls she didnt like it I thought it was okay. The egg roll for me had a bad taste but my wife liked it. So the verdict is basically two stars.
I had the most delicious meal at Diller in LES, and the best part is it was all vegetarian and kosher, just like their entire menu! There are also vegan options included if thats your preference. The beyond burger was juicy and flavorful and is made from scratch (except the bun and patty). The fried pickles are made fresh using pickles from The Pickle Guys right next door. Also, they serve 2 types of lemonade which are made with their homemade pickled fruits. I highly recommend trying the watermelon lemonade! They are currently running a promotion on Sundays in which you can get a free lemonade when placing an order, if you follow their IG account.
Went there on opening night. Tried the beyond burger, fries pickles, rice balls, and the pickled pineapple lemonade. The burger was BEYOND amazing. Fried pickles were perfectly crunchy and the lemonade was super refreshing. Staff was super friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try the items they ran out of!
I always look forward to working on my Thursdays because I know it means I get to eat here. Not only is the food phenomenal (seriously I will never buy a regular burger again after you guys) but the staff are incredible. There are not a lot of places that can provide both quality food and service, but Im sure glad this one does. See yall next week!
In a city that has every food imaginable, fried pickles are surprisgly lacking. Or... fried pickles were lacking, but now theres Diller.Great staff, nice open-front location, and tasty food. Fried pickles were excellent -- the batter didnt drop off, which is always the test for fried pickles. Lots of dipping sauce options.I look forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu.
Their fried pickles were amazing! Was nice and fast, and the cashier was warm and welcoming. My only complaint was about their website. Having seen the cashier and chefs’ merch, I went to their website to see if I could purchase some. Little did I know their website was incomplete. However, I will definitely recommend this restaurant and come back again.
Diller has set the bar so high for fried pickles that Im afraid I wont want them from anywhere but here! I also tried their Rice Balls and Reuben Egg Roll and both were soooo delicious. Its as if they knew exactly what people would like and presented us with exactly that. This place and all of their menu items are a must try in LES!
Hungry after visiting Sargent’s Daughters on a September Wednesday night, we came across Dillers! No meat establishment that is all about brine and pickle-ish food.Mike and Armando were gracious and friendly - smiles and good cheer. The pickle juice/cucumber juice/sake “monster” drink was EPIC! Brined fries were so good (with the caraway dip especially). Also devoured the brined rice balls and meatless pastrami egg roll. You might walk past and think “too small”.... but don’t! Nice seating outside. They are closed on all Jewish holidays and always on Saturdays, so plan your visit right.

2022-07-01Diller is a vegan place featured with pickled drinks and bites. I am not a big pickle person, but I am glad I gave it a try. The staff members were friendly and good at their jobs. The burger was saucy and juicy. The watermelon lemonade was tasty and refreshing. The fries and the pickled drinks were interesting.

2022-07-03I got the Impossible Taco and they nailed it - maybe the best in the city right now. Perfect. The Sloppy Joe texture meat is perfectly seasoned and everything else just works. I am very much looking forward to going back to try the rest of the menu.

2021-08-25Super cool place, great for tourists and vegans. I didnt know a pickle can be cooked in so many ways or could be used in an alcoholic cocktail. Worth a visit.

2022-02-21Out of this world good and a must stop on the Lower East Side! Gluten free deep fried pickles! Fabulous sauces. Crispy fries that were soaked in pickle brine, tastes like salt and vinegar potato chips. Get the Reuben eggroll! Tacos made with Impossible Meat. Love this place

2022-04-03This place was delicious! It’s all vegetarian/vegan but very accessible for non vegetarians. Burger and fries were both excellent. I’d eat here everyday but burger is kind of pricey. Excited to go back and try the egg roll.

2022-07-21So I went next door to the Pickle Guys and got my usual 3/4 pickles. Yum!!!!! and decided that I would give the sauces a chance first. The young African American Chef behind the counter was very nice along with the young lady there. When I tell you they should bottle all of those sauces!!!!!!! That was the best I took the Dillers sauce and put it on my salmon and I was transported to some place in the islands. It did not matter what Island, long, Or the Caribbean all of the sauces rocked. This was so nice and tasty. Both stores are clean with super nice workers. Really good.
