Everyone in the office is kind, professional, and friendly. Dr. DiMaggio is great at answering questions and setting expectations, and I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes. The dentist isn’t really anyone’s favorite place, but DiMaggio Dental is the place to go when you need to!
I had such a lovely experience at DiMaggio Dental!! I had been going to ProHealth for so many years (had a different name before) and had struggled so much with long wait times and bad treatments. DiMaggio Dental was amazing. I was the only one there, so no wait time, and the receptionist, dental assistant and dentist were so kind, and I got an awesome cleaning!!! They are my go-to from now on!!
Highly recommend Dr. DiMaggio and his staff. From the moment you walk in, you feel assured that you are in a clean and modern facility. The doctor was great, young, attentive, and very knowledgable.I have been here at least three times since my initial visit. I had Dental Whitening performed here as well which went superb (received a lot of compliments after). I once had to bring my 2 year old son after he had an accident and hurt his gum line/teeth. Dr. DiMaggio was able to handle my toddler with ease. My wife was also super impressed with this place (NOT an easy thing for her) and has just started her journey with Invislign with Dr. DiMaggio.I do not live in Astoria any longer but I have no qualms on making the half hour drive to be seen here!
I went today (2-Nov) to DiMaggio dental. Very nice experience and the cleaning that I had was very thorough and well done. Office environment is very nice and very clean. Dr DiMaggio was a nice guy and answered any question I had. It looks like this is a newer business in the area (last year or two) so support locally!
My husband and I are both impressed with the practice - the dentist and office manager have been wonderful in working with my husband who is a stroke survivor and has aphasia. We do not have dental insurance, and the prices for services are competitive. Dental work isn’t cheap, but my goodness it’s your mouth and your health so it is well worth the investment. The office is new, clean, and well-run. We are very happy to have found this practice and would highly recommend them!
Thank you for answering my millions of questions about the process of teeth whitening and for doing the procedure! I had consulted with 2 other dentists about teeth whitening prior to coming to Dr DiMaggio, but I felt that the other dentists were pushing hard for the sale rather than actually addressing some of the concerns I had. Dr DiMaggio was patient and thorough. The office is also beautiful - you wont expect how huge it is from the outside. I will gladly recommend this place!

Dr. DiMaggio and his staff exceeded my expectations for dental care. As other reviews have pointed out, DiMaggio grew up in Astoria and decided to open his practice here because he cares about the community. That was entirely evident in my two visits to DiMaggio Dental over the last week. One for a routine cleaning and one for maintenance of prior dental work. Dr. DiMaggio’s assistant Jane was as caring and attentive as he was, as she went above and beyond to make sure my experience was pleasant. She made sure to send me email appointment-reminders including estimates for my co-pay. During the days of Covid-19, DiMaggio Dental ensured that NYS protocols were followed strictly and I truly felt safe the entire time.
My previous dentist was not available due to the pandemic and I was in need of a dentist as I was suffering from a very bad toothache. I discovered DiMaggio Dental and Dr. DiMaggio was able to relieve me of the pain. He performed a deep cleaning, I walked out very satisfied and never have my teeth felt this clean! Overall, the doctor was very friendly, and it turns out hes from Astoria, so its nice to see a local professional give back to his community. I plan to make him my primary dentist and I look forward to seeing him again for my annual check up.
A beautiful addition to the Astoria community! From the beginning to the checkout, the service matches the decor (stellar!). Dr. DiMaggio is an amazing dentist who grew up in the neighborhood and decided to return to his roots. The whole dental process is easy and the care is top notch. I am very happy to have him here, as I imagine all those who come to him will too!
Discovered this clinic last year when dentist clinics were starting to open. And thankfully we found this place via ads in the mail. I had my root canal taken care of by Dr. DiMaggio and my tooth ache was gone. The place is very clean and they follow covid precautions. Staff are very friendly too. I live quite far but don’t mind the travel for my dental needs.

I give this doctor and his staff (Bobby and front lady) a round of applause. The doctor was able to save a tooth of mine with a root canal and cap. This was covered under my insurance. He was highly recommend by my friend.Previously that same day I cracked my tooth and went to see my doctor (not anymore!) who after everything said i will LOSE my tooth AND NEED AN EXTRACT ASAP (BS). Then handed me a 9000 dollar bill for an implant with screw. I didnt feel right so i saw doctor DiMaggio the SAME DAY .... He stood late and save that SAME tooth like a CHAMP. Forget the money he saved me.... He saved my tooth for my wedding in a month!! I am very happy with his service, experience and professionalism. This is a great clinic with a very friendly suff. Dr. DiMaggio is a profesional, gentle, patient and he does a wonderfull job. Im very happy with the care I received and I cant recommend it enough.
I have had two cleanings here and only have great things to report. All of the staff here are kind and patient, and Jane is always great at calling or texting back quickly with specific answers about insurance or scheduling.
5 star service, Dr. Di Maggio is the best dentist i couldve ever asked for, they take care of you as if you were family. Hell work with you to get the results youre looking for. I defitely reccomend him

2022-06-05I wouldn’t recommend having your night guard done here unfortunately.. it took two tries and even after two impressions, two different guards, it still sits funny, but i don’t want to go back because it’ll be my fifth visit at that point and who knows if that’ll fix it? my previous dentist never had an issue but not here… now i can’t speak on cleaning skills because i never got that done, but the night guard was a flop even after adjustments… $300 because insurance doesn’t cover it.EDIT: I ordered a custom night guard from enCore on Amazon. It is about $100 and you do it by yourself. I have been using it regularly and am pleased with the results. I would look into that option instead of going here.EDIT EDIT: Take a look at my attached photos. The night guard on the left was from DiMaggio Dental and worn for a few weeks. It is dull, worn down, and has a lumpy shape. The impression was never made correctly and had to be sawed down repeatedly to no avail.The night guard on the right was made by enCore & I’ve been wearing for a few months now. The impression is correct, which I made myself, and the material is great. I’m the average teeth grinder and was not able to find a decent night guard by DiMaggio Dental that I looked for other options. When I find a decent local dentist, I’ll go through them but I’m having to use online options for now

2022-05-10Dr. DiMaggio and everyone on his staff are amazing, friendly, and efficient. Dr. DiMaggio is detail oriented in his examination and questioning, and really cares about your long-term dental health.Logistics were seamless: I made the appointment via Zocdoc, filled out the new patient forms via Zocdoc, and the front desk had it printed and ready to review/sign when I arrived. Wait time when I arrived was 0. They are open weekends which is a HUGE plus.The office itself is clean, brand new, and large - really kind of luxurious. A+ for Bobbys relaxing music and travel videos!

2020-12-28This was honestly one of the most pleasant dentist experience Ive ever had. Dr. DiMaggio was professional and friendly. The person helping me at the front, she was great! This will definitely be my go to place and Im so glad its close by. The cleaning went smoothly and I any issues I had was looked into.

2021-08-07I was looking for a dentist to get some major work done, and after comparing prices all over Astoria Dr. DiMaggio was competitive and the expectations were met and exceeded. Dr. DiMaggio did exceptional work as he was available 24/7 for any adjustments that had to be made. His work is thorough and beautiful and I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a dentist in the neighborhood. The place is very clean and especially during covid time they always have your best interest at heart. The staff is flexible and understanding and you always can avoid the long waits as efficiency is in the forefront.

2021-10-05My faith in Dentists has been restored!! I can’t thank Dr. DiMaggio and his team enough. I had a great experience went in for an emergency root canal took care of me right away. They were able to keep me calm and comfortable. Made the procedure a breeze. The results were incredible I would highly recommend to my family and friends.

2021-07-19Literally the best dental experience Ive ever had, and Iusually get really horrible dentist anxiety. The entire office is sparkling clean. Dr. DiMaggio is so kind and gentle as are his staff. I especially loved the huge flatscreen that offered a calming distraction. I chose to watch a You Tube video with nothing but ocean wildlife. There is such good communication. I felt heard, all my questions answered thoroughly. I think everyone should go to this dentist!

2020-08-08Dr. DiMaggio and his staff at DiMaggio dental offer world class service. I frequent Astoria often to visit family even though I live in Washington DC now. I was not happy with my local dentist and heard about Dr. DiMaggio, who decided to open his practice in his hometown. From scheduling my appointment with office manager Jane, to my experience with my first visit which was a cleaning and consultation for further work I needed, it was a very pleasant experience (no one ever thinks of going to the dentist as pleasant). This was a great visit and Dr. DiMaggio was honest about what needed to be done. In the last month I have gone back twice more to continue the work I needed and Dr. DiMaggio has been a pleasure to work with. He makes you feel welcome, part of the family, his office is extremely clean and all necessary precautions are taken during these Covid times. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs a dentist!!!

2020-07-20I live on Long Island but were in search of a new family dentist. We heard about DiMaggio Dental and decided to take the drive since we frequent Astoria often . Well let’s just say we will definitely be sticking with Dr. DiMaggio. My family had an amazing Dental experience at DiMaggio Dental. I had my 2 year old with me. It was his first dental appointment ever. A 2 year old having his first cleaning ever can be very scary, but he was very calm the whole time. The dentist ( Dr. DiMaggio) was super patient, funny and kind. He recommended that my husband and I go first with our cleanings ( as I scheduled the whole family to be on the same day) . Having watched us , it definitely set my son at ease. Dr. DiMaggio provided my son With glasses for glare and put his favorite show on the big screen TV. He joked around with my son and made sure he was comfortable. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more smooth experience with children. As for myself and my husband, we both agreed that the cleaning was done thoroughly and our teeth felt amazing after. The tools are all brand new as is the equipment and the office itself . The assistant Jane was so helpful and patient in scheduling our appointment and sterilizing everything before us, between appointments with my family and after we were done. We will definitely be going back. Check this dental office out ! We highly recommend it!

2021-07-05Upon looking for a new dentist here in Astoria, I found a gem! Jane at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. DiMaggio himself is awesome. Very personable and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole appt. Even took me in 10 minutes early. Last but not least, the office is sparkling clean!
