Yes, the store can get insanely busy but the managers especially Kate Sanchez is amazing. She takes customer service to the next level. Called about a backpack and she went out of her way to check the inventory and promised to call me when they came in and sure enough...she called a week later. She placed it on hold for me and I was able to pick it up the next day. Sure its a tagline but she does go out of her way to make everyones experience magical. Thank you Kate!!!
Great customer service! I was looking for an item and asked a lady that was organizing items on a kiosk. She stopped what she was doing and responded pleasantly. She was very helpful. Although they didn’t have the size I needed, we got other things. When we checked out, the cashier was also very friendly. It is a great store with so many items and great staff! The store was very busy with a lot of people coming in and out. Keep up the great work!
Was really looking to coming here. Unfortunately, the store was very warm so they had A/C machines positioned around the floor. The first floor wasnt open for shopping sadly. They did have many neat items up there, but was surprised at how much they didnt have for variety of characters and collectives. A shout-out though for the two very nice employees/security people on the first floor who got items for us and were very friendly.
Oh my kids were in heaven at this store. I liked the sparkly floors and beautiful chandeliers. The prices for toys are really good considering the location. My daughter got the most beautiful doll which I’ve never seen anywhere else. They had lots of staff available to assist when needed as well.
I love me some Mikey and now with my new son Oliver, you cant STOP me from SHOPPING. i love just going and taking in the Disney. Such great things from apparel to Lego! Disney has spread out into so many areas its a blast to look for treasure! Take your time, look around, you will find something you cant live with out!!!
Ugh hate to do this but this was the absolute worst part of my trip to NYC . People working at this store seemed miserable and Incredibly annnoyed. Crazy they definitely forget what business they are representing. . One lady on the bottom floor holding off the entrance to the section was so rude with a horrible attitude. I think if she didnt have the Disney uniform she would have offered some hands. Thats how bad her attitude was; Shoving whichever first merchandise was closest to her in your face to shoo you away so that you didnt even have time to see what you actually wanted to buy. You had to ask for permission to see a certain character section. The entire bottom floor was temporary blocked for no apparent reason and that is okay, after all its a private business but They refused to tell you why or give you some sort of answer I overheard the doorman or the manager and her say people pretend that we have to even give them reasons why the area is closed. Excuse me? The Disney store is definitely not a charity event, people there go to spend considerable money and at the very least they deserve some customer service. Disgusting representation of individuals working at a Disney Store. Shame on you. I saw them do the same to a handful of other customers.** Icing on the cake: trying to explain that to your special needs son after having had spent hours in the car anxious to visit his favorite character section in the Disney Store **
We were really excited to go in. Especially since there arent many Disney stores left and well, this one was disappointing. They no longer have two floors, just the one top floor. They dont do the opening key ceremony. Overall inventory was limited. It felt like it didnt have that wonder or Disney magic you always felt when going in.
First off, it must be noted that the cast members here are extremely helpful and nice. I accidentally left my water bottle on the floor and in less than a minute of me leaving the area a cast member came over to me and handed me my bottle back. This is the first (and probably last) time this has ever happened to me in NYC.The cast members are also hard at work maintaining a spotless appearance inside the store. They are tidying up the shirt displays and putting things in the right place as guests are shopping. This place is as clean as Disneyland. The only reasons I don’t give this location 5 stars are the lack of much adult apparel (a solid majority is designed for kids) and the high prices. You can sometimes get a better deal on merchandise through the shopDisney website. That being said, it is very valuable to be able to see the actual appearance and size of items. On a more exciting note, I was very pleased to see that they had most of the Pride collection out by the time I visited in May 29, and they featured those items in the window display. With the recent rise of “Don’t Say Gay” legislation in Florida, it is nice to see Disney supporting pride month in full force. Even better, all of the profits from those items go directly to LGBTQ+ organizations.I can recommend a visit to the Disney Store in Times Square to anyone who is young, or young of heart!I can recommend
Went there twice. The first time all employees from the lady at front door to those on second floor were nice and welcoming. The second Was a Terrible experience. The lady cashier at second floor was unwelcoming, cold and rude! The worst part is she didnt have enough knowledge but she thought she is the mother of knowledge and technology! I couldnt give 1 star only because of all those kind people i saw on my first visit.
Stepping inside makes you feel like youre in a fantasy. If you go there with your kids you will have a great time there. You can find in the store beautiful toys, mugs, house materials, dresses for the girls, chocolates and so many other things. The location is great, however it makes it very busy. The store is very well organized, tidy and clean. The staff wish to every one have a magical day. Would definitely recommend!
I have been in many Disney stores in the states and in France as well. This store is my favorite so far. Decorations are breathtaking with a Statue of Liberty of Mickey Mouse, and a mini castle! Kids had a blast. Staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. We had to get check in another bag though!
Simply amazing! 😍 Kids will love this store and its hard to take them home after coming here. Beautiful teddys, mugs, house materials, lovely dresses, toys, chocolates and also so many things to get. Its tough to remember all together. Please have a visit with your kids and you will pass a great time here. Guaranteed! 😎
A very large selection of Star Wars items at this store. I love all the LEGO sets and have only seen a larger selection at Disney World’s LEGO store in Florida. I especially liked the full sized Storm trooper costume on display. A very large selection of Disney themed items were displayed for sale at this location. Very cool.
I went there with my friend and my 2yo godchild on 8th of June around 3PM. The elevator wasnt open for use so we had to carry the stroller on the escalator. Before we left, we checked the kids jacket by the entrance. I told my friend something in our language (were both Asian) when the guard started mocking me and repeated what I said in a higher tone. He not only did it once, he did it again and again when I looked at him. I was so confused and shocked that it only hit me when we were outside how abbsolutely rude the man was.
There’s not really anything special about this Disney store compared to all the others. But it does have some special things inside like a castle and a screen playing videos on the outside which might thrill Disney fans. Overall, it’s clean and staff are friendly. Good stop for kids.
For the Disney fan this is a must stop in NYC. They have some wonderful merchandises with NYC themes. Times Square can be very busy especially during heavy tourist season. Best to go early or late. Go when there is a sale because they have some great reductions. It’s also ok to just window shop and check out the store. They have nice cool things to see.
Great store in Time Square to see all the Disney characters and products. Two floors of tons of stuff to see. They even have a small movie section upstairs. The boys went right to the Lego area so they have more than just Disney stuff. You could spend a lot of time in this store if you have kids. Definitely something to see if your in time square.
Please understand that my lower-star review has absolutely nothing to do with the staff, who was very kind and inviting, but instead with the selection. It’s not this store’s fault whatsoever, but they have almost nothing aside from Star Wars, Marvel, Micky Mouse, Stitch, and Frozen. I actually specifically came looking for Winnie the Pooh merch for my father and Cruella merch for myself; all they had for Pooh was a singular stuffed animal (pretty good quality though, however pricey; very fluffy, very soft) and they had absolutely nothing for Cruella, unfortunately, but I suppose that villains don’t get a shelf at the Disney store. Definitely not a store problem, probably just a Disney problem, but show some love to those more niche movies, the ones with diehard fans that’s really want that merch!
Far too crowded... You can hardly move. And why is a toy store open until 1 on the morning? Though maybe at that time it is no longer cramped. They do have ask the stuffed animals and characters from ask the movies, especially now that Disney pretty much owns all production companies. But they jack in dresses and they are pretty much restricted to the latest movies.
Bigger than usual 2 story Disney store, has everything Disney you would need and more, even has NY themed merchandise! Has a cool area for kids to do activities with the cast members and the whole store always has a bunch of different themes like the parks do, even the escalator has a floating lamp theme, very beautiful store to look around and shop. The cast members are very friendly as well always actively interacting with the guests and making announcements of current deals!
Don’t be surprised if they yell at you for your mask if you even take it down a second to drink! I left because usually places tell you right at the door what their expectations are, not just yell at people randomly. Especially if they’re selling $40 small plush novelties. It’s like you’re always being watched. I wouldn’t have minded if I would have understood and agreed to the expectations before I entered, but that opportunity was never available to me.
Definitely worth the visit while in New York since this Disney store carries items that are unique to the NYC location such as the I Heart NY Mickey and Statue of Liberty Minnie plush dolls. Being a pin collector, there are a few pins that is only available at this Disney store. Located at the heart of Time Square, the store is usually quite packed with customers. However, the employees are definitely trained well and performs all the required phrases such as hello princess. I personally really like the way the escalator to the second floor is decorated. The unique lantern theme is very beautiful and upon reaching the second floor, the castle is definitely a dream come true for many little princesses running around in the store.
The store had pretty much everything! The escalator wasnt working when we went, which was hard on my body, but the staff was friendly and helpful. It was extremely busy and hard to navigate some areas of the store because of the amount of people. But the decorations were wonderful.
A huge 2 story location in iconic Times Square just absolutely full of everything Disney and some very adorable statues and displays make this a must stop and see. They have some great Ney York City based Disney souvenirs as well that make your stop a little bit more special. If you love Disney make sure you pop in!!
Disappointed. There were a lot of things from Disney, some specific for New York City, but I thought it was gonna be a way bigger store, and I didnt find anything I was looking for. At least, it saved me money. But is very beautiful nonetheless, after all, its Disney.
This place is awesome. So much nostalgia. Staff were very helpful. Even geeked out talking about starwars with one of the staff. Anyone in the area needs to check it out. I even picked up the original Micky mouse animated doll. Cant wait to go back sometime. Would highly recommend to anyone
Staff is very very rude. Went in to buy a luggage and asked the lady to give me one that didn’t have the plastic off, and she said they were different but she would get one from the back. She went and took forever and that heffer took the plastic off of it on purpose and then jerked it out of my hand. And then they didn’t put my pic on the billboard and I went and asked and she said another hour and then it didn’t come so I went in again and finally got my money back!! Dallas Disney store is more friendly and more things to buy!
Im a huge Disney fan and I live on the West Coast. It was definitely a MUST to visit this store while in New York for my first time!! The cast members are all so great and helpful! Bought the Mini Mouse as the Statue of Liberty and official pin set for my mom, my step sister, and myself! Also got some stuff on clearance. This is seriously one of my favorite Disney stores now!!!
Ive never been to a Disneyworld and this store was a lovely experience. Its right beside forever 21 on 7th street so if youre not familiar with New York, just walk along the same street as Penn Station heading toward central park. The store has two levels with an escalator to take you to the next level or down. How its set up allows for easy walk through. There are tons of lovely collectible items and entertaining things. They also arrange the store by themes for example Frozen, Moana, Star Wars etc. On the top floor there is a lovely castle-front which lots of people take pictures at and there is also a magic mirror which random plays stuff. You can also find things there for adults too.
We must have visited this store every other day when we tripped to New York. With my being a huge Star Wars fan and my girlfriend loving Disney, it was bound to happen. Lucky for us, the store was a pleasure to be in. Smiling happy staff always there to help, amazing layout with toys and clothes stacked floor to ceiling. You can tell that a lot of effort went into the decoration and design of this store which really made it feel like a magical place to be!
The Disney Store has always been a great place. This one is especially great. Its huge, theyve got so much stuff. Their pin selection is always super nice, which is always what Im looking for. They update their selection of items constantly, at least once a week. They also have some very nice deals, I love the lithographs that come with the pre-order BluRays. All in all, the atmosphere and items are really nice and I would totally recommend going there.
Well its not the same as the one in Times Square (1990s) where they had all the lithograph & art pieces. But non the less the staff is super friendly and there is always a smile on their face. It felt as if I was very welcomed and wanted. I was not treated as a stranger. That made my day in a city where millions of visitors pass by every day.
This location is the closest to a Disney Parks store as youll get, much better and magical than regular Disney Stores.I would have given five stars, but a homeless man got into the store and started harassing my wife and I for change and swore at us when we said we had no change on us. Disney Store staff seemed to escort him out shortly after.
I loved shopping here and bringing my 2 nephews home stuffed Winnie the Pooh characters, but what I loved more than that was the chandelier on the second floor, it is absolutely beautiful. This is by far the best Disney store I have ever been to, even if it was a tad crowded.
I always love going to this store as it makes you feel like you are a child again with all the magic and wonder in the air. The staff was really nice and this one staff member even asked which movie was our favorite. Mine is The Little Mermaid and The Lion King. I cant just choose one! When I went they were out of bags after you purchase anything, but probably due to the fact it was extremely busy and in NYC, so I would suggest having your own reusable bags with you just in case.
I LOVED this shop.An actual aladdinscave of wonders. The escalators are awesome. So beautiful. They play disbey songs all the way round the shop, which really gets you into the disney mood, which is good, as its not the cheapest:p. But its disney....we know this. *shrugs*The best disney shop ive been too including Florida parks and Paris.Staff extremely helpful aswell. :)
Everything was over priced. I would recommend going to the Disney website and saving an extra ten dollars on all of the merchandise. I am not kidding. I like shopping at the Disney website so I would know. I mean, I liked going in there just to look at the items. And omg, there was an LGTBQ section, but I felt like it was in a hidden spot. Like they didnt want the kids to be able to fully see the tee shirts/backpacks/ etc. That did not sit well with me. To me, it seemed like they were ashamed.
I went here after a long day of working at work (vice-assistant online retail manager) and I noticed this store. I decided to go in and the lady with the octopus tattoo showed me their wide selection of plushies. I decided to treat myself and buy four Donald Duck toys. It was very nostalgic, especially because my banshee of an ex-wife took all the previous toys (and the children) in the divorce. Its good to know this store is here. Im always happy to support small businesses. Thanks Disney!
Disney Stores are getting harder and harder to come by these days, with a lot having closed their doors. But this location at Times Square is certainly alive and well! A multi-level store, you can get virtually any Disney merch you need here, including lots of Star Wars options and specialty items for Disneys 50th anniversary. Definitely a must-see if youre in the area.
They are spectacular!! Very welcoming, very patient and they will go the extra mile to help a customer out. I went in for a toy story toy. And they were able to guide me in the right direction, telling me about what are the new features in the toys and being patient with me when I had questions. Unfortunately they did not have ham the pig but they had the other characters I wanted. They were magnificent!
It was disappointing that all of the interactive stuff, the entire second floor in fact, was shut down and off limits. That is what makes this store special... I am just unclear on how it is safe to walk around a small store with a bunch of random people but it is not safe to use interactive stuff...The most exciting part was the giant Minnie Mouse statue of Liberty.
The Disney store is the happy place of tines Square. I love the customers service and everyone is so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this location for all your beloved Disney character pieces .They have everything from Mickey Mouse silverware to Olaf socks. Great job guys thank you its always a pleasure visiting .
Wonderful staff who are always there to help with any questions you may have. Although the upstairs floor is closed,do not hesitate to ask the staff if they have a particular item in stock that you don’t see on the salesfloor because theres a high chance they may have it in the back. This has happened to me with their jewelry. I didnt see it on the floor but all I had to do was show a picture off the Disneystore website and they were able to find it for me in minutes. Great selection in store and a sweet shopping experience.
I have been to many Disney stores and this was by far the worst. It is large but only sold the same stuff, just on different shelves. Everything was very spred a out and a lot of empty space. Most of it was Disney princesses, which is cute for kiddos, but not for adults. The yoda stuff I was interested was a very small amount and all of them looked distorted, as well as the Disney stitch was also distorted.

2022-02-13Its a nice place, but mostly for kids. There arent many clothes in adult size, and the merch is mostly animated-films-orienated (Micky Mouse, Frozen, Cars, etc.). Theres almost nothing from the mega-franchises owned by Disney like Star Wars and Marvel. Also, its not so cheap, to say the least.Ended up not buying anything, but it was a nice place to hang out for a few minutes.

2021-12-31This is a must-stop place for any Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar/Disney lover. Various artifacts are on sale that are exclusively sold at this location. Themed clothing, costumes, kitchenware, stuffed toys, dolls, are sold. The highlight of the store is most definitely the ambiance—on display are giant statues of characters, posed models, flashy products, and colored walls all accompanied with music and lights.

2021-12-16A two story Disney store located near the heart of time square. Has an abundance of employees working at all times so theres no shortage of help if youre looking for it. It can get a bit crowded but with so few Disney stores left in the country its not surprising that people are carving out time to stop in.Definitely made us miss our Disney store that closed in Albany new York. Worth a stop just to browse.

2022-04-12Good spot for Disney lovers. There could be more interactive things for the kids like some of the other stores in NYC.

2022-06-03Good amount of NYC specific merchandise, but mostly clothing. Not as big as I thought it would be but we managed to get a lot of gifts so definitely worth a visit. The lanterns over the escalators are a nice touch, too, and there are NYC exclusives.

2022-05-31One of the last brick and mortar Disney stores. This store is beautiful! It is so nice to see the merchandise in person, and I hope this store stays around for a long time.
