The beer is incredible here as well asthe food. The reason I am only giving them 4 stars is the servers need to have better knowledge when certain items are not available. This has happened twice when I came in that there were certain items on the menu that were not available as well as the beer that was on the menu. The restaurant should update their menu or their servers having better knowledge when they arrive at the table.
Found this place somewhat randomly but really liked it and would definitely return. The outdoor seating is plentiful and we had no wait on Labor Day when we visited to sit down. The tables are well-spaced out also. The beer was very good, better than I expected, and we wouldve taken some of the good IPAs we tried home but there were no cans of that available. The food was quite good, both in quality and quantity (we got a mountain of pretty good fries with our mains). My wife had the burger and I had the lobster roll and we were both very satisfied with our orders.
The bartender, and I unfortunately cannot remember her name, was a wonder! She can easily be identified by her constant smile, blonde hair, and enviable work ethic. With staffing in such short supply these days, district 96 should do everything they can keep her!!! She made our entire experience a memorable one.
Let me just say- this place has good food and good beer. The reason for 3 stars is because on three separate occasions, we’ve gone here (a Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) and they’ve been out of most of the draft beer listed online that we came for. We are beer people & have always checked both the Instagram and daily website menu before making the 45 minute trip, only to find out they’re tapped on many of the IPAs we came for. This most recent time, we asked if we could buy and crack a can since they were out of many of the draft beers & were denied.
I dont think Ive ever had something I dont like from here. Its nice to have a craft brewery right in the heart of Rockland. The food from the Burger Loft is consistently good and the outdoor dining is a great option for those worried about staying distant from other parties.
This is a microbrewery with a beautiful modern tap room. They are attached to The Burger Loft and owned by the same people, so there is food available. Their head brewer Chase is just a master at his craft, all of the beers are top quality. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. They also occasionally have guest breweries on tap, its definitely worth giving them a visit.
Absolutely excellent ipa selection. I wish I had more time to try more of their offerings. Seems like they have a partnership with the hamburger joint next door because their burgers were offed barside. Didnt try one but plenty of people seemed pleased with theirs. Multiple bars and great beer make this a must visit for all craft beer enthusiasts.
I really have no idea why it took me so long to make it to District 96 and now Im disappointed I didnt get there sooner. District 96 was superb. Their IPAs were right up there with Industrial, Sloop, etc. But it was their raspberry stout, Intellectual Property, that stole the show. Normally Im not crazy about raspberry in stouts/porters as it has a tendency to come across as a sort of synthetic raspberry flavoring. Not so with Intellectual Property. The raspberry tasted like biting right into a fresh one, and one was neither too subtle or overbearing. The vanilla - another addition Im usually not a fan of - played off of the raspberry and dark chocolate beautifully. Its a perfect dessert beer that manages to not be cloying in the way so many overly sweet ones are. Oh, do yourself a favor and get a burger while youre there, too. Theyre excellent.

2022-06-09I absolutely loved coming here. I’m not a big beer drinker but I tried the All Snake Everything and it tasted good! My friend ordered the flight of 4 beers and was happy to get a sample of their selection. That day, they were out of stouts, but they are consistently rotating their menu and adding new beers every month. They also have a burger menu since they are connected to the Burger Loft next door. Warning: their fries are addicting! I recommend ordering the truffle aioli sauce on the side.We came on a Wednesday evening and the place was clean and had a really chill vibe. There are pretty ceiling lights plus big windows to let in natural light. The ambiance was a highlight for me, personally. You can tell they are a little short-staffed, but the servers were friendly and patient as we made our decisions.

2022-04-05Drove from NYC because we heard such great things about their IPAs and Photo Bomb lived up to the hype and then some. Seriously, I think this is my favorite IPA I’ve had thus far. To add, the workers at District were helpful and so kind. And the food was there was also pretty fire. So shout outs to Burger Loft who works alongside this incredible brewery. So glad we came and we will definitely be back, we hope during the summer because their outdoor space looks really cute!

2022-05-08Easy! Hands down 5+ starts!! The main entrance is a bit deceiving but the place is huge and very welcoming. The left is the restaurant, the right is the bar and of course I turn right :) and fortunately, got James at the bar. Hes extremely knowledgeable about the beers and the brewery itself. He served me a flight of four distinct flavorful beers (couple of IPAs, Pilsner and a Kolsch) - Photo Op was my favorite of the four. The bar also offers the full menu from the adjoining restaurant. I ordered a buffalo burger with chicken, and that was also as flavorsome as the beers. Prefect place to spend a few hours with friends or family!

2022-07-03What a lovely brewery. I went around 2:30 on a Sunday and it was nice and quiet. Every beer we chose was great. Talking points was a nice classic smooth vienna lager. The Wilson was a dragon fruit coconut sour. Summer Crush was a nice peach blonde ale. But surprisingly the Silent Majority pale ale was my favorite, it was just on another level. Wanted to take a 4 pack home but they didn’t have it so we ended up taking a witbier with us instead. Highly recommend going with a small group of 2-4 people. The burger loft attached has great food.

2019-06-24This place was top notch. The service was great, the wait was non-existent for dinner time on a Saturday but the place was packed and most importantly, the food and beer was amazing. We had the mild wings which were delicious, didnt get a chance to take a pic since we were so hungry. We had the Buffalo burger, the classic burger, fries and Caesar salad and it was all delicious. The beer flight we had was also affordable and generous and the beers themselves were all great. They also some good sauces that should definitely be tried with both burger and fries. Its definitely worth detour or if youre at one of the nearby lakes, a great place for a bite.

2022-06-14Meh. Beer okay. The bar area smelled unclean. I had to ask the bartender to clean the bar. Waited 10 minutes for utensils and napkins after food came. Waited 10 minutes for water. The place was packed on a Monday night with one bartender.

2018-09-14Located at the end of a fork in the road 10min north of I-287. Plenty of parking in the rear and shared in the front. 2 bars with seating in between and a patio. Imptessed with TVs only behind the bar. 16 beers on tap all brewed on premises. Excellent style variety; Kolsch, Pilsener, sour, saison, pumpkin, 3 pale ales, 2 IPA & DIPAs, 2 browns and 1 can. Citizen Cider checks in as the only guest brewery. Crowler s available and not only beer flights bbut bourbon too! Lots of brown liquor and whiskey. Long bar cut in half and pm bar with beer board (closed when i dined) As always, I try a burger when going to a new place and wow did that classic paxk plenty of flavor. Double patty on a flat top (forewarned by mature male bartender) of no medium rare but was scrumptious nonetheless. Enjoyed fresh shucked corn plate as well. Reasonably priced, well thought out seating plan and spotless establishment. A great local brewery with even better food. Worth the diversion from the highway.

2019-11-03After meeting with the manager (i believe he is) at craft beer fest in Coldspring, i promised i would visit the brewery. Me and my wife came on a Sunday. (Our mistake being that its football sunday). Service at first was very slow. Took about 25 mins to get someone to take our order. Server politely apologized saying he thought our order was already taken. A lot of other tables also experienced the same. Even though the servicr isnt that great, the beers are awsome! Photo op is amazing. Burgers are pretty good too. Reason im only giving it a 4 stars is because of the lack of service and also the wall that divides the bar and table area is super dirty! Old mason jars are horrendous.Fixing that issue would get this place a 5 star. Again, beers are great.
