Took my coworker there for lunch yesterday. We had the 8pc max meal the chicken was great 10 times better then KFC it was a great meal for the price the only thing I wish is they would offer corn for a choice instead of just salads
Showed up on Monday evening @ 6, a man who worked there was in the parking lot & told me they were closed because they ran out of chicken. Did they really run out of chicken? They are generally opened until 8pm. How did he know I wanted chicken? What about the other items on the menu, like fish, shrimp, or poutine? Maybe I would have opted for something other than chicken. Did they really need to close before 6pm? Probably not, & certainly not a way to run a business.
Fast service, good food! Quaint little sitting areas. Not a Wow experience, but still great!! We ordered 12 piece chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, and mac & cheese. It was all yummy!!
Really good, authentic fried chicken. Extremely quick service. Far better than any fast food chicken chains Ive been to. I also really like the Mac and cheese and cole slaw for sides. A huge four piece dinner with a side, cole slaw, and dinner roll will run you about $10. Huge value.The restaurant itself is very clean and comfortable. They also have newspapers and a TV.
A fried chicken eatery with tasty southern style meals all perfectly cooked. Large multiple piece boxes with extras included are available as well as wings, fried fish and sides including fries, mashed potatoes, & mac and cheese. I usually do not like coleslaw but theirs is the best I have ever eaten.
EVERY time I come here, the food is absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!! Their fish filet is the best fish I’ve ever had 😍 Knowing I’m gonna always have a great meal whenever I come here is very comforting. LOVE this place ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Been going to dixie lee for many of years. i quit going there when Rose yelled at me when with pam right next to hee all i asked if i could place a order. a friend of mine told me they where gone with a new couple running it. i have to say the chicken is alot better then what is ever been in the past an u dont have to worry about getting yelled at when u order. its great that ogdensburg has dixie lee back where it should be.
No ice so soda was very warm. Most of the staff were not wearing masks. Even the people preparing the food. There was a child running around without a mask. Going in the kitchen. Touching everything up front.
I stopped by Dixie Lee during a visit to the area. It was so good! The food was awesome and the staff was so kind. It was nice and clean too! Thanks for a great meal and experience.
Service is usually great. New owners with new items, but i stick to the old stuff. That chicken is unbeatable. Better than KFC. Its what you expect for fast Deep Fried Chicken.

Good food and I like the new owners but will not oder from this location again the first time I ordered 3 weeks ago got 8 miles home and had everything I ordered except the chicken so I called and Joe was nice about the situation but questioned if I was sure there was no chicken as if I would like about some chicken for crying out loud the second time I ordered everything was there no problems today I ordered and got home 4 rolls came with my meal plus orders 4 extra rolls got home and no rolls after spending 47 dollars and some change and they again swear they gave me the rolls I have never lied to get extra anything in my life not would I just exspct what I order and pay for but after being made to feel like Im being a liar Id rather spend my hard earned money else were

1 st time in a about 2 year coming to Dixie Lee heard the was new owners my mom an I stop in the dinners room looks amazing the food was amazing keep up the great work
Poorly worded signage, which lead to ordering a meal we didnt want. we got told the wait was 15 mins and it took over a half hour, all our sides were cold and we will probably throw half the chicken away. 40 dollars, and over a half hour of our time wasted. I will never go back again.

2020-07-01It was good. I ordered the 8 piece family meal with French fries and slaw. It was good. I hadent eaten here in a while but it was just as good as I remembered it being. Its an older locally owned franchise. The service was great. The kid behind the counter taking the money was very pleasant .The building it self could maybe use an update but thats kind of the charm about places like this. Ill go back for more when I want some more fried chicken for sure.

2020-08-04Ordered only fries, they were fresh but tasted NASTY. Ive been eating their fries since i was a kid and they used to be great! The last few visits when i get to town have grown increasingly unsatisfying.

2019-09-24I have a friend, Jim, whos been bragging about Dixie Lee chicken and begging me to go there for about 6 months! Well, we made a day of it and went there for a bucket of chicken. He, and myself, were greatly disappointed! He said they must have changed owners and changed the recipe. The chicken was overcooked, or reheated too many times. It wasnt freshly made. It was tough and distasteful. And at $40 a bucket! Im sorry to make a bad review, but after all the hype of Jim bragging up how wonderful the chicken he remembered, and being so disappointed as we both were, I must be honest with you all! Its going to be KFC for us from now on. Sorry Dixie Lee, but our experience was just lousy.

2021-03-02It very sad the last few times going to Ogdensburg seeing dixie lee closed. The new ppl there where great the food was great. W e would drive 45mins to the burg to buy chicken an fish. I pray that they reopen under the same ppl that ran it the place hasnt been this good in years.

2020-06-05Had lunch at dixie lee today it was nice to be able to sit outside. I order a chicken burger an fries I have been to a lot of chicken places but that buger was a 5 star all on its own. I meet the 2 running the restaurant they were so nice I will be back soon. This was my 1st time back to dixie lee in about 6 years I was told they had new owners an the food shows it. Thank u for a great lunch

I travel all around the US ate at a lot of chicken placese Dixie Lee in ogdensburg is top notch food chicken is juicy the coating is crispy its every thing u look for in fried chicken. 2018-04-18Upon my arrival I waited a good five minutes before the lady in the kitchen eating her mashed potatoes and gravy noticed me. Id like to see the inspector visit this place unannounced as soon as possible.Im weary about the fish dinners I hear they arent the best, I prefer the chicken dinner meal comes with a side of your choice and a Cole slaw salad which is good. Overall an okay mom and pop style chicken joint.
