Dizzy Chicken is the best barbecue restaurant in the Capital Region! We live in Niskayuna and this was definitely worth the drive to Saratoga! The food is absolutely delicious, the chicken bites are our favorite appetizer and the dizzy sauce is to die for!The restaurant is crystal clean and we felt very safe dining in.Cant wait to come back again!
I got the ribs with fries and collard greens and beans. The food was Spectacular and the ribs fell off the bone. The price was fair and the Staff was friendly. The dining area was clean and spacious. I would come here again
Awesome experience. 1st time visit with my husband for lunch. We tried the ribs and the half dizzy chicken. Have to say I was doubting the food here in the area until.we visited here its my favorite place now. And btw great staff and very clean and cov9d safe and very friendly. 👍

Awesome chicken, unique smoked flavour, nothing like box/chain restaurant. Chicken, braised cabbage, chowder.... All great, the corn bread was some of the best Ive had. Really a number one recommend for the food. They loose one star for the entertainment, I came to eat with my family, granted it was a little later but the volume from one guitar singer and his accompanying girl was to much for this place. I expected this volume in a tavern twice the size. It really took away from the experience. I had a hard time making out the server and the other people in my party, not what I was expecting and so take this part of the review for what it is. The food is awesome and great value for the taste! A definite recommend!

Found this little gem on a quick trip to Ticonderoga NY. Staff are following safety protocols to keep patrons safe. The food was amazing and delicious! I had their signature Dizzy Chicken with two sides entree along with their Dizzy Sauce. The chicken had a great aromatic smokey flavor and was moist and tender. I had the Cole slaw and parmesan fries. One of my buddies had the pulled pork sandwich and said it was great as well. Highly recommend this spot for a great meal that wont break the bank.
This is a great find off the beaten path in Saratoga. It is definitely worth a visit. The front of the building is unassuming but step inside or sit out on the beautiful covered back patio and you will not be disappointed. The food is great and the service is superb. We had the brisket plate (which was very tender and moist) and the pulled pork panini. Both were outstanding. They have a great selection of desserts and the coconut custard is the owners grandmothers recipe. The back patio is dog-friendly too. There is a parking lot out back as well. We will definitely be back and will bring friends next time.
So, first time we did take the out and it was so good we wanted to dine in and see if they could repeat. Well, they did and the chicken potato app was bigger this time around so that was a pleasant surprise. Good atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. The chicken is a must there and the daily specials are great to choose from.
Was visiting from NYC, picked this place at random and ZERO REGRETS! Chicken thighs were so good and the roasted potatoes were cripsy but soft on the inside. The cornbread was litterally the best Ive ever had and our server was amazing! Very attentive, delicious food, cozy atmosphere and great service.
I loved Dizzys! Im here all the time. The wings here are second to none in the capital district. Yes, theyre better than the rusty nail. Barbecue is fantastic, staff is fantastic, drinks are fantastic and we will be back likely today!
Wow!!! Totally. Incredible. Chicken. Clean plate club! They use oak and maple, giving the chicken such a perfect flavor profile. Very tender. And the collard greens with white beans were very flavorful. We got a double order with the half chicken, no doggie bag tonight! Cant wait to come back!
The garlic parm chicken was fried too hard. Everything else was ok.
Had really great 1st visit. The combo with pork, brisket and chicken was plenty for 2 adults and 2 small kids. Cornbread is to die for.

Friendly people nice clean inside and out nicely redone beautiful wood log bar three large TVs nice Long bar many tables inside and some on the back patio appetizers and food was excellent you can smell the barbecue inside with a large barbecue oven .Great food dont miss if youre in Saratoga. We made the trip over from Vermont it was worth the trip you got to try this place.

Justin was helping our neighborhood with a little snow plowing and we were very luck and grateful for your help! We were almost stuck in a rut and your kindness was so very much appreciated! Its just mom and myself and my toddler son and weve been out in New York for a few years, originally from Los Angeles CA, but still cannot get used to this snow, especially driving in it!! We are going to have to stop by @dizzychicken very soon for one of your mouthwatering brisket panninis!!! Again thank you so much for helping us out and for making some of the best food in Saratoga Springs!!!

Very unassuming from the outside, but boy did this place deliver! Will definitely be making this a routine lunch spot for a beer and panini traveling back and forth from northern NY slopes to NYC.

Food and service were both amazing. They brought me samples of each of the sauces to decide which I liked. Cheesecake for desert.. yummy .Wish we lived closer to be able to come back.
A friend told me about this place. We ordered the dizzy Chicken (a whole chicken) and a half rack of ribs plus the potato salad, macaroni and cheese, cornbread and garlic parm fries as sides. Everything was done and ready to go in 20 minutes. We ate out and they were quick to provide us with extra napkins and takeaway silverware. The food was piping hot and smelled so good that I never took pictures of it. Those two entrees plus the sides were enough to feed two adults, a teenager, and a child. The sweet Barbecue sauce was delicious as well.
My drink looked and tasted fabulous but the food was even better! Definitely give the pork candy a try!!! 😋😋😋

Good food, great atmosphere, but a little slow on the service
Delicious food! Pork candy was a little undercooked but tastes pretty darn good. Only issue was there were flies inside the restaurant, we had to move outside because they were so annoying which is why I give it 3 stars. Staff seemed short so it was a little slow.

Order was 27 minutes late. Food was cold, ordered garlic parm fries- got regular fries. Ordered large sweet potato fries got small order. Full rack of ribs were very fatty. Ordered whole chicken when it arrived it was still alive and quaking bloody and pink... Never again!!! Oh, and not to mention the extremely overpriced bill of $141- to top! The worse place weve ever gotten food from.
Wow, discovered this hidden jem while passing through Saratoga. We have found a new favorite restaurant in the area. The chicken, brisket, pulled pork, wings, ribs, sides were all amazing. Best BBQ we have had in this area by far. We couldnt decide what to try so we got a combo dinner, a couple apps and 4 bones if ribs. I cant wait to come back and try more.
1st time there. Walked in, found pleasant friendly hostess(?) who greeted me and took my order and made a helpful suggestion. The place is relatively small but clean. I sat at the bar and the hostess offered and gave me a glass of water while I waited, which wasnt very long. The whole chicken and 2 sides ($23.49) were nicely packaged. The chicken was moist and delicious. Well be back!

Owner was really helpful and tried to please us. Our little kids were tired and we were in a rush. Food was great. Sauce was perfect blend of sweet and vinegar . Definitely recommend.

I cant say enough good things I would give them 10 Stars if I could. I showed up as soon as they opened and to my surprise they still were able to complete my order quickly. Best wings Ive ever had, best brisket Ive ever had. Ive eaten almost everything on the menu and its all great. If you havent tried dizzy sauce you dont know what your missing.

Super great food and the service and drinks are phenominal. I can honestly say this is some of the best chicken Ive ever had. The wings are out of this world and the blue cheese dressing and smokey buffalo wing sauce are to die for. If youre a wing lover, I would stake my life on the fact that you wont be disappointed with this place (unless you like blubbery flavorless chicken).

Placed a last minute catering order for pulled pork and smoked chicken, with sides. Great food, everyone loved it! On time delivery, great to work with! Would recommend.

Ribs were very good, but a little too fall off the bone for my taste. My brothers burger was a little to heavy on the salt. Overall very good and Ill be back for a third time.
The food is so incredibly good! We are obsessed with the ribs and dizzy bites. The serving sizes are inconsistent. Sometimes the small sweet potato fries is a box full, other times it’s a few fries. Same with the dizzy bites. The service is also inconsistent.Once, we received a partial order, went back for the rest, and were told that the order was input as two separate orders. They had to cook it fresh, making half our family have a cold meal, and the other have a fresh meal. While the manager apologized, we spent over $70 plus $20 tip for a subpar meal... some of us had fresh hot food and others had cold food. Again, outstanding food. Just great inconsistencies in service and product...
Just finished trying to eat a delivered meal, and it was about as good as 2020 was.Sweet potato fries were good, Parmesan fries tasted like they steamed them after cooking them, and had almost no Parmesan.Smoked brisket was flavorful, but the meat itself was dry.Panini was just meh, no flavor. Decent bread, but not fresh.Cornbread was delicious once you cut off the part of it that was exposed to air all day.We ordered the Dizzy sauce, Melba sauce, and their house made ranch. All of them are delicious.BUT the most insulting thing was the piece of cheese cake. $6+ for a piece slightly bigger than a key fob and that had definitely been sitting around for days.Definitely never ordering here again. The price was great but definitely got what I paid for.
I’ve ordered delivery twice, and both times they were on time and so kind! The food has been amazing both times, and I will be eating there al the time now!

Would give 3 and a half stars if I could. The nachos, soup, and food tasted great. Unfortunately I just cant agree that a whole chicken, and a smaller sized one, being worth the $23. Especially when one of my sides was forgotten in my to go order, and it looked nothing like the mouth watering pictures. It was not only wrinkled and shriveled up but no seasonings, or any golden brown skin you would expect from a rotisserie chicken. It was my first time ordering, so maybe it was an off day, or my bad luck, bc after seeing all the pictures and reviews, I did not feel like my $60 to go order was well spent. Will definitely try again sometime bc I always hear great things about this place.

Heard amazing things about this place, unfortunately I do not share that experience. Food had no flavor, stale nachos, cold fries and chicken looked raw and pink (did not eat it) I will not be back.

Everything Ive ordered from Dizzys has been fantastic. I havent tried the chicken yet as I cant seem to get myself to order it knowing how great the ribs and brisket are.
My son got pulled pork he said it was excellent. My wife got the ham burger she said it was good I got the pastrami it was to salty for my liking. The wings where excellent. The staff was good they did a good job with social distancing. Very clean.
The corn bread and rotisserie chicken are amazing. Really great place with a nice selection on the menu at reasonable prices. Wish the music was different so set the atmosphere but the food more then made up for it. Will be joining again very soon. As soon as you walk in you can smell the smoker and you know you made a great decision. Do yourself a favor and order the smoked chicken wings.

The glens falls store was 100 times better. The chicken thighs were good but they had more of a smokey flavor at the glens falls store. The hot wings were mild at best they were decent but I expect a hot wing to be ya know hot! The pulled pork potato skins had little to no meat and they were very dry. I loved the glens falls store there quality of food was exceptionally better I would get with whom ever ran that store and get his secrets. All in all still good food but not what I was expecting.
The food here is exceptional. I had the brisket sandwich special with a fried egg, cheddar cheese, pickled onions and it was to die for! The brisket just fell apart and was flavored beautifully. The vibe in here is great. The decorations, music, and atmosphere are funky and fun. The service leaves a lot to be desired which is the only downfall.
I usually get the Caesar salad (which is already the best in Saratoga Springs), but tonight I got Buffalo wings to spice it up a bit. I took one bite and actually exclaimed “WHOA!” out loud. Wasn’t planning on eating the full dozen tonight, but they were legit the best wings I’ve had in YEARS. Peppery, smoky, juicy, meaty, tender. I’ll be thinking about these wings until I get them again soon.

My family usually orders for delivery, which is such a great option. We decided to pop in at dinnertime on a gorgeous Saturday evening with a party of six. Clearly I wasnt thinking ahead and it slipped my mind to make reservations. That being said, the employees were incredibly helpful and quickly made perfect accommodations for all of us even though they were slammed. I couldnt appreciate it enough, every employee was thoughtful, helpful and personable. The food was downright delicious and Im already looking forward to our next visit.I cant recommend Dizzy Chicken enough, especially as a longtime local. Thanks so much!
Always a great meal. Fast service. Really cute place. Live music could be better. Musically decent but so vocally off it was painful. On the upside, they dont always have it.

Food is really good, pricing is fair. Specials are great and the selections are fantastic. Theyre a little slow, and to be fair I realize quality food takes time but not this long. Would be 5 stars if they were just a little quicker on serving drinks and salads.
Good (but not great) meats.My family got the meal for 4 which included a sampling of chicken, brisket, and pork.The rotisserie chicken was the best meat - very unique taste.The pork had too much BBQ sauce that overwhelmed the meat. Pork may have been cooked too fast.The brisket was mediocre - perhaps it was also cooked too fast? This is approximately the brisket youd get in a diner...not what youd expect from somewhere that claimed to specialize in brisket.Service was super friendly. Lots of room here for families and larger groups.Great selection of microbrew beer on tap.
My wife and I were staying for 2 nights in Saratoga. We were walking around town and noticed Dizzy Chicken, we both noticed that it was clean, neat and had enough interesting items on the menu that we said to each other, guess we should give it a try. We were greeted by Jake and seated on the deck who also waited our table. We ordered the 1/2 chicken and 2 sides. Everything was just delightful, the food was absolutely great, prices were very reasonable and since it happened to be a little slower on a Tuesday evening we had the pleasure of having a great conversation with Jake and the owner Justin who by the way is a graduate of the esteemed CIA chef institute. We really had a wonderful time and highly recommend Dizzy Chicken.
Came here 2 day for my 18th wedding anniversary n wow we were blown away at the food. The price was more than reasonable. Jake was our waiter n omg he was the best n 2 top it off he knew how the food tasted so he can give u an honest opinion. I highly recommend u try this place👍🏽

Theres food you eat to survive and then theres food that warms your soul. The Dizzy Chicken is the latter; eating this food made me downright happy. The flavors blend perfectly together and everything tasted fresh and healthy like a home cooked meal. They smoke their own meat which makes the entire place smell like rotisserie heaven. They dont use chickens with added antibiotics or hormones or preservatives which is probably a contributing factor as to why they taste SO DARN GOOD!!!!
Best barbecue in town. We got a dinner for two adults and two kids delivered to our door for less than $30 and still have leftovers. The quality was absolutely amazing. Barbecue chicken was tender and Smokey. The dizzy sauce was garlicky and spicy. Potato salad, Pork, and Beef were all amazing too.
Justin and his team catered a 50 person outdoor party for us and the food was great. We had roasted chicken, pulled pork, potato salad and coleslaw.... all delicious and hot. You never know what will happen with catered food but somehow Justin has got it right - chicken moist and delicious, not dried out and the pulled pork the best Ive had. Great job!

The chicken had no flavor at all. The sides are just ok. Anybody that thinks the chicken is good, hasn’t been anywhere ( I feel sorry for you). That said, the service was excellent.
A great experience! We brought a group of 40 students and 4 chaperones to dine at Dizzys during our high schools Senior Overnight College Trip and they did great! Food was delicious and staff were very kind, organized and accommodating. We loved especially that our buffet table and seating was set up and ready to go when we got to the restaurant. We plan on coming back to dine with them the next time were visiting colleges nearby!
Im in trouble! We enjoyed our first lunch today, excellent food, exceptional service. And looking at the menu I noticed the order online app and just downloaded it for fun. We had a surprise 90th Birthday Party for my mother catered to my daughters house.There were 30+ adults and about 6 children. Justin the owner was very professional and extremely helpful assisting us pick out our menu. Justin was very prompt the day of the party and had everything set up in minimal time. We had three different meal items, a salad and delicious Mac n cheese. Everyone raved about how hot the food was and everyone said the food was awesome. We were all very pleased with the quality of food and service. Dizzy chicken will be at the top of our list the next time we cater a party at our house. Justin and his staff took a load off our minds and made us look real special in the eyes of our guest. Great job Dizzy Chicken Saratoga

WE USE TO HAVE A DIZZY CHICKEN IN GF AND IN MY OPINION WAS THE BEST CHICKEN I EVER HAD. THEY STAYED AROUND QUITE A WHILE WAITING FOR THE REVITALIZATION OF SOUTH ST THAT NEVER HAPPENED. SO I GO TO SARATOGA AND ORDER. YOUR LOSS GF.
If you love smoke chicken Dizzy Chicken does it the best! My wife and I had our wedding rehearsal dinner here because we love their food so much. Staff is always pleasant, and prices are good. Every now and then well treat ourselves to takeout from here. Make sure to try their Dizzy sauce!

Fantastic food. So good I ate it before thinking to take a picture of it. And the employees were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and liquor selection.Next time Im around this place is, hands down, on my list of places I must visit.

We came to visit for the first time Saratoga Springs and was looking for some authentic Southern food and must I say it was absolutely delicious! The Mac and Cheese, Potato Salad and Coleslaw was out of this world! BIG SHOUT to Justin the waiter and owner was so attentive to our table. If your looking for tasty southern food this is place!

Our first visit was a pleasant surprise. The house smoked brisket was melt in your mouth. The chili was flavored perfectly. Salads were crisp and (even though I know its either love or hate) they offered anchovies with the Caesar salad. Well be back and try the house smoked pastrami next time.

Omg I have been to a lot of places that say they serve smoked food, this place is the only one that does it. I absolutely loved this place and the food was outstanding along with the staff. This is a must do if you are in town. The only thing theyre missing is the smoked drink cocktails. Love it love it love it!

After passing by while driving several times and after reading other reviews, my wife, daughter and I finally paid a visit. We are sorry that it took us so long to try it! The atmosphere was casual but very welcome and dining in was not a problem at all. we each had something different between chicken, brisket and different sides and each one was excellent. We will be coming back with friends and cannot wait for the warmer weather to sit outside. the staff was very attentive and friendly, while the proud owner, Justin, was very happy to show us the smoker. Highly recommended.

Every time I come here, it smells fantastic inside. I love the ambiance you get when you walk in, from the music they play down to the quirky way it is decorated. I love that theres a fireplace in the corner but also the industrial sized smoker you can see behind the bar. The servers are always friendly and I have yet to try something I didnt like (Ive been here many times). Their food is locally sourced & all sauces are made in house as well which I respect. Please dont stop doing what you do.

Was not a big fan of the food. Do not get the grinder the bread is thick and a little hard. The brisket was ok the chicken was rubbery and dry, Potatoes had no flavor. Prices were decent better than most BBQ places.

I had the smoked brisket pannini and chicken vegetable soup. Delicious! I sat by the fireplace and was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The decor and atmosphere was lovely.
Excellent food and service. Great prices. We had a dinner combo for 4. Good portions, no one left hungry. Relaxed atmosphere.

EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS!! A couple nights ago, my mom and I went out to eat here at Dizzy Chicken, and it was FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC. The potato skins were tasty, the arugula salad was one of the best salads Ive ever had, and the chicken entrees were unbelievably good. I went for the 2 chicken thighs with the red cabbage, garlic roasted potatoes, and a small thing of the Dizzy Sauce -- which is kind of like a garlic aioli. All in all, I give this place a 10 outta 10 -- and Id definitely come back here again!

First time ordering here! I ordered online, I got the 1/2 chicken with red cabbage and potatoe salad with the Dizzy sauce! I also ordered the beer battered cheese curds with melba sauce! Absolutely amazing!!!This was some of the best food I have ever had! The flavors of everything were perfect. The chicken was extremely moist. The dizzy sauce was to die for. Well done!! We need a location closer to Glens Falls!!
Food was interesting and tasted very good. Menu was limited to, surprise, chicken so theres that! At least its a bit healthy being mostly rotisserie style chicken. Drinks could be a bit on the pricy side with some special drinks costing up to $14 each. However, most drinks were reasonably priced.
Worth the drive if youre craving wholesome comfort food with phenomenal flavor. Great price and very good portions. Will be back soon.
Best chicken I have ever eaten!! They brine the chicken overnight and then smoke or roitessier it which makes the flavor go into every bite of the chciken. No dry spots or loss of flavor. Good selection and offer a variety of things not just chicken. Staff is friendly. Great relaxed atmosphere!

I arrived 30mins early for take out and they worked so hard to get it ready as soon as possible - really appreciated the level if service. The food was out of this world! Its not just the chicken they knock out of ther park - ribs are to die for, wings were amazing. Recommend trying the different sauces they offer. Cant wait to go back and try some more of the menu (and those sauces!)
The wings are amazing - have a little crisp on the outside with a perfect amount of sauce on top. And the waffle...fluffy and soft. I put white chocolate syrup and butter to top it off.

Stopped in here on a whim. The wait staff was pleasant from start to finish. The food was succulent and came a plenty. Even the owner stopped at our table multiple times to see how we were doing. If you are going anywhere in saratoga, come here for lunch, dinner ,whatever!!!

Honestly disappointed in the beef brisket panini. It sounded so good but it just didn’t live up to the hype. I also personally feel for 9.99 you should get more than a sandwich in a box and a bag of chips. I guess if the panini was exceptional I would not have minded the price but it just wasn’t. A bit too smoke flavored for me, it over powered any other flavors. It wasn’t bad but so not worth the money.
By far the best barbeque around! They offer an amazing value, are very clean and do everything from scratch...try their take out or delivery. Smoked Garlic Parmesan Wings is my favorite on the menu 😋

Loves me some Vertiginous Poultry (aka Dizzy Chicken). It just makes me sad they closed the Glens Falls location. Gotta drive all the way from HF, but those pulled pork nachos and roof raiser wings are worth it!
First timers: The food was amazing..there is no place better for a meal that will warm you to the core..whether its chicken or pork yum......oh and the Corn bread crisp outside with soft inside outstanding flavor.. we will be back soon cant wait to try the next thing on the menu..try the barbecue pork with carmelized onions, cheese, bacon, scallions and sweet potatoes....topped with a egg...it will curl you toes lol.. well done guys. And almost forgot our waiter was spot on...very friendly and knew his menu.
This is the moistest, most flavorful chicken I’ve ever had. It’s brined first and then slow roasted in a wood burning rotisserie resulting in smoky, melt-in-your- mouth-chicken. For $22 we got a whole chicken and 2 sides - roasted potatoes and coleslaw. Of course, there’s more to choose from. Everything is homemade and the chickens are hormone and antibiotic free. The menu has many selections including pastrami, brisket, pork, soups, salads, paninis and much more. Check it out...you will not be disappointed. This is a great Saratoga Springs find! Oh, and they deliver.
I order from the Saratoga location at least twice a week for lunch. The food is not only amazing but their staff is incredible. ( I recommend the chili and Mac and cheese). But everyone at work has loved everything we have ever ordered. Unlike other delivery services downtown they have never taken more than 40 minutes... max. Today the delivery man forgot my rootbeer and he came back with two for the inconvenience. (Which wasn’t an inconvenience at all) That just shows customer service is vital to them. So glad they are part of the Saratoga downtown community.

I just had to 5-star this place not only because of the food but because of its wide range of positive vibes. Some days casual, some days crowded, everyday friendly. As my friend who works there as a hostess might say, Its a zesty good time.
Love the food (get the chowder and a sandwich)... staff is super friendly..... Been there dozen times since they opened, only criticism is wait time for food is a little inconsistent...
Our food was exactly mediocre. the brisket was so fatty that there were several pieces i didnt eat. the dizzy chicken was fine, but nothing to write home about. the coleslaw was so old and nasty and our server got our order wrong. the whole staff was noisy and rude while we were there.
Have only gotten take-out,but ribs are excellent. Also got garlic-parm wings this time. You will be pleased with menu and ambiance.
Got the brisket panini and the chowder, both well exceeded expectafions (and I was assuming they would be great!) You can really tell they smoked it in house, and it was one of the best tasting BBQ places Ive been to. Will definitely be back!!
Went there when they first opened and wasnt impressed. I gave them a second try the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Great lunch and friendly staff. Hope this continues to be the trend in the future.

2022-02-22The food came promptly and our server was great. The pieces of chicken were a little small but had great flavor. My roasted potatoes were perfect. I have to honestly say my favorite part of the meal was the cornbread. It was perfect. Cakey and maybe a hint of lemon? I saved one piece to have for a snack with hot tea. Our server said he wished that he had the recipe too!

2022-05-26The pork candy salad was amazing. The wings were awesome. Could have been a little crispier. Had the maple bacon sauce....amazing. the coconut custard and the chocolate mousse amazing! Fried cheese curds with the melba....delightful! Pork nachos.....superb! Homemade chips. Definitely need to try at least once.
