Not a small cozy club, but definitely a pleasant venue with great views and absolutely world-class performers. The pricing of $45 + $20 minimum purchase per set of about an hour of music is a little annoying but apparently fairly standard. More pleasant venue than bay areas Yoshis Oakland.
Me and my husband reserved a table for todays jazz show, we came 20 min earlier so until 19:25 pm had been waiting in lobby. The Hostess informed us that we would be sharing our table with other people.. When I tried to ask why she just ran away, Ok we sat with another couple at the end of the jazz bar near the exit. I couldnt see ANYTHING because of the crowd ahead of me..I wasnt even sitting with my husband because the table was so small and another couple already took another chair.I tried to ask the hostess one more time if its possible to find a free table for us (for which we paid two weeks ago) . She completely ignored my question and ran away again. The most unprofessional attitude I have ever experienced. The Show started, no waiter came to take an order, I noticed that at least 2 tables were empty but wherather. I could only see the other peoples heads and was sitting in a very uncomfortable position as well as my husband. So, after 15 min we left. That was the worst customer service I had. People downstairs are checking vaccination cards and you have to wear a mask (which is ok) but they sit you with a bunch of people around, face to face. It Makes no sense.Really sad and disappointed how the staff treated us.
I had such an amazing time in here. The food prices were very reasonable the music was even more amazing such amazing and talented people playing at this place I would definitely recommend it for a date night or a group gathering who just likes to hear a little like jazz
We visited this place over Memorial Day weekend. We saw some really good jazz musicians preform. The music was great the food and the drinks were perfect. You have to call and make a reservation. Also make sure to arrive early to you reservation because even though you made a reservation you still have to wait in line. And if you’re one of the first ones in line and made a reservation at the bar you get your pick of the bar seats. Great place, great food, good service. I would recommend to anyone looking for something to do in the city with some good music.
We went there at night, pretty late, after 11pm. Prices were reasonable and they gave us a table not far from the stage. Enjoyed the jazz music from various musicians. Best late night activity in NYC. Since subway service in NYC operates 24 hours, so we took subway train back to the bnb without problem.
I loooooove Dizzy’s! They’re keeping Jazz alive! The food is great but the place is just a little pricey. To me it’s difficult to have to spend at least $100 per person every time i go to Dizzys. I wish it was cheaper so more ppl (including a younger crowd) could experience Jazz without breaking their pocket. Still I love it and I hope it lives forever.
Ive been meaning to check out this spot for ages (10+ yrs - forgive me!) so when a good friend invited me as a plus one I took the offer. Carlos Henríquez nonet was a delightful treat and it was refreshing to have music done by a Bronx local. If you find a show with any of the performers in that nonet you must check them out, absolutely amazing performers. I also loved the variety of the pieces that Carlos put on. Ok! So the other real deal here is that the food - chef Samuels is the real deal and rather amazing at what he does. I didnt sample everything on offer but the sure delights were the gumbo and the fried cauliflower!!! The service was also rather wonderful and we were tended to by the most attentive staff and host. I really couldnt have asked for a more delightful experience at a venue! Did I mention how great the music was?!?
Thank you for this exceptional space, vivid, open, fresh, inviting. Every seat in the house offers a good viewing and listening experience facing the stage. Tables, bar and stools all available for patrons. Reservations recommended. Food and drinks good. Nice view over Dupont Circle. What a great evening!
Nice! We saw Carlos Henriquez Nonet and they were superb. The club itself is small and the cocktails were good, at NYC prices. Had we known there would be a line, a wait downstairs at the elevators, a wait upstairs to enter.... all with no, zero, information, signage, service of any kind... we would have arrived earlier. Really, if you are going for the first time you are truly left on your own to figure it all out. Be prepared for rude security guards, no information and ambivalent service until you actually enter the club.
Came here during flamenco week. Great performance and acoustics! Prices were on the higher end (I believe $40 with a $10minumum spend) but students get a $15 discount. My friend wasnt much impressed with her negroni cocktail but the caramel pecan vanilla ice cream dessert was the bomb! The view outside is also lovely, so overall a very nice evening. You can also come for the late night show aftee 11pm for $5 cover. Pretty trendy place though so expect to dress up and make reservations beforehand.
It was my first time at Dizzys and I will absolutely be back! The music is phenomenal!!! I went to the first show of the evening with doors opening at 6pm. I recommend arriving near door open time vs the show start time to get a table closer to the stage. You also are better off finishing your dinner before the show starts anyways as you will likely be entranced by the performers. The food was good, but not great. The best thing we ordered was the mac and cheese bites with the tomato soup. Theres also an off menu drink called the category 5 thats a delicious passion fruit concoction. Dizzys is perfect for a regular night out and special occasions!
A buddy of mine who Ive known since middle school brought me there in celebration of my 50th birthday. We had dinner and drinks and enjoyed some amazing Jazz. It was my first time there and I definitely plan on going back. The vibe and the ambience were amazing. Oh and the food and drinks were pretty awesome too lol !!!
I reserved a table online and by the time we got there, there were only seats by the wall.. if the seating is first comes first despite the booking, the website should have stated that clearly. We arrived hungry so we ordered food anyway, but it was very uncomfortable eating by that floating shelf area. The waitress had an attitude the entire time we were there.. also she had a fake smile on and talked to us in a degrading manner. The show was fantastic though! Thank you for that.
Fantastic venue, $45 music charge for most sets, except for late night. The food is very good, the service fast and efficient, they clear the place out between sets. Great acoustics, the view is fantastic, be sure to take a shot of Colombus Circle before you go in... try not to sit on the sides near the windows, they you only have a view of, well, the sides. The bar along the back is fine for the view, but not for eathing, almost all tables provide good views...Enjoy jazz in this venue. Sit at the bar, middle... enjoy a Nigroni...
Dizzys is a must see. I go every time I travel to NYC and recommend it to anyone in town. Its a more intimate jazz experience with different performances depending on the night - definitely worth reserving in advance. Theres a great view and its not crowded or loud, so its an incredible immersive experience. Glad they were able to reopen after a break from live performances during COVID.
I ordered a glass of $12 Prosecco, and the waitstaff charged me a sparking french wine from Loire, France ($17); he said they have two kinds of Prosecco, and I ordered the other one, which is not true. So stupid. Prosecco is a sparkling wine from Italy, not France. He ruined the later part of the performance while lying about the check. The prosecco had no bubble at all, and it tasted like yucky white wine mixed with sparkling water. I think it was left opened for a couple of days. I sipped once and ordered a beer. This place is totally different from what it was like before covid. I am so sad.
This was the highlight of my trip to New York. I came here once with my friend, and then again with my other friends. It was so good, the appetizers were extremely tasty, and the jazz was incredible. The city views through the windows are so nice, and once I met a guy here who goes to Julliard who added me on Venmo!
This is a great place for live jazz with shows priced reasonably particularly after 11pm when Jam sessions are priced as low as $10 and a drink minimum.Incredible performances by groups from all over the country in a beautiful venue. Excellent bar service but okay food.
Very classy Jazz Club... Not crowded...most seats good.. bar seats in the back uncomfortable. the food is generally pretty good although some portions are quite small. The ribs are excellent. Some mango coleslaw we had the last time we were there wasnt good. But you go there for the music mostly. You dont have to have dinner... just have a drink and enjoy the show.
My daughter and her friends took me here for my birthday. Since she found this online and had never been. we didnt know what to expect. The good; the band and tap dancer were awesome. Such a shame the set was so short. The drinks were great; not stingy with the liquor. To be clear, I would visit again for the music and ambiance but I do have notes. The bad; 45 dollar cover charge includes nothing but a table. Come on, that should include at least one drink per person, seriously, come on. The seating is tight, we were 6 at a table clearly made to seat 4, but you are here for the music and it was so good, we didnt mind. The ugly; service is slow. Ask for everything at once to reduce your wait time. Set is too short for the money
This smaller Jazz club is part of Jazz at Lincoln Center and featuring great traditional Jazz music performed by Veterans of Jazz as well as young up and coming musicians. The music stays pretty safe and traditional which is not a bad thing, just something to be aware of. Makes it a good tourist spot and first time Jazz show spot. Beautiful decor, solid food, fancy area of the city. The view of Central Park behind the band is pretty magical
Great music but band seemed like a bunch of nuns told they must play jazz for people that night. Looked down at Music sheets whole time, no interaction. Be aware - this is not a Jazz CLUB - it is a Jazz venue. Meaning no dancing, no smoky cool atmosphere, nothing like that. It’s a stage, people sitting on hotel-like chairs all in same direction and staring-still at band.Somehow I thought this would be a club - I was mistaken. I recommend Andy’s in Chicago -THAT’S a Jazz club!!
Dizzys Late Night is a great place to hear new talent perform. The room itself is a modern, warm, inviting venue with great views of the city. Dizzys Late Night is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The service is friendly and unrushed. The cocktails are perfectly crafted. I only wish that the late night menu included a few more food options.
Such a great place! Great music, great drinks, great staff! You can reserve a table or a bar seat, if the same bartender is there that we had the couple times we went I would highly suggest sitting at the bar. He was super nice and accommodating and really made us have an even better time.
Wonderful experience, great music and ambiance with okay food and fine service..,We were there yesterday (7aug) for the 19.30 concert. I advise those who want to eat (as we did) to arrive well in advance so that you can finish munching before the music starts and just enjoy your drink during the show...
This was by far my favorite evening during my first visit to NY. Such a great place with fabulous live Jazz and very good (but a bit pricey) food. Come early - otherwise you might be seated facing the wrong direction (especially as a European visitor you might be surprised that people here actaully have finished their dinner when the concert starts at 8pm)...
We went to the early show atDizzys to hear Rufus Reid. Hearing a big band sound with some excellent musicians was a treat. The show had enough variation to keep it interesting and some really impressive individual performances.Dizzys does a good job of getting people in and out and the view of the skyline of NYC in the background sets a nice scene for jazz. The service is good efficient/polite but with an impersonal sort of vibe. While my companions enjoyed their food (fried chicken, mac and cheese) I found my gumbo to be thin, rather bland, and with some un-chewable additions that seemed to be old okra. That being said you dont sign up for Dizzys for the food. Drink prices are on par for what one expects for NYC.
An amazing evening of Jazz and tasty food with a spectacular view overlooking Central Park. A beautiful space to listen to the best of NY jazz. The sound was spot on; not to loud and not to soft. The food was excellent with a serving of salmon that was flakey with just the right amount of lemon and butter. My spouse had the carrot soup and cornbread and found it to be perfect in taste and presentation. If you are in NY and into jazz...this is a must stop on you list.
Easily the BEST experience. I really couldnt beleive the talent, atmosphere, and view could be so intimate and alive. We danced the night away to great music and pieces centering around Earth, Wind, and Fire. Im 28 and I must say it is a very diverse crowd with folks of all ages enjoying the energy. The bar service was quick and courteous.
A lovely way to spend a relaxing night in NYC. I went to after-hours and loved the musicians. The venue is great for the acoustics and the cocktails were delicious. I enjoyed the view. The kitchen closed early, but the menu looked like it had promising and delicious small plates.
While the check in process took quite a while (and got a bit sweaty), it was all worth a fantastic performance by wonderful and talented Kim Nalley and the band. We got lucky with the table - just a few feet away from the stage, and thoroughly enjoyed our evening! One minor bump in the road was the underwhelming poached pear dessert (well, slightly under-poached, if I may say so), which of course didnt stop us from enjoying the jazz & blues performance with the stunning backdrop of Central Park ❤️
I am giving this venue 5 stars for the following 3 reasons; the entertainment, the view, and the bartender. I am from Missouri so maybe I am pleased easily but this place was one of the highlights of my NYC trip. The biggest downside was the food. Look people, you dont come here to eat, you come to be entertained. The food was some of the worst I have had at any resteraunt setting (I had the risotto) but I didnt care too much. The bartender made some pretty spot on cocktails though. If you absolutely want to get food then get the fried chicken. The fried chicken is pretty decent. Overall, try the place out atleast once. It was fun.
Dizzys is great if you want to go posh for your jazz. Its pricey, but its an iconic spot in New York and the music is excellent. The food could have been better for the price, but it was still pretty good. The staff were excellent. Whats holding Dizzys back is the in-show-out revolving door mentality. You get in, get some food and a drink, see a brief show and then you have to leave for the next crowd to come in. With this format, its hard to relax and enjoy the music. If youre on a posh date or a stylish group night out, and you like jazz, then this is the place. If great jazz is the priority, and classy surroundings are NOT a priority, then there are a dozen more fun and relaxing places to go in Manhattan.
Ambiance is a bit stiff. Ive listened to some jazz bands that I normally see in other places. It has a good stage and the acoustics are great. Drinks are overpriced and when Ive gone, cover has been $30 tacked onto your drink bill.Id come here to impress someone with views of Central Park while listening to jazz but to get good jazz, you can go elsewhere for much cheaper
Big expectations but disappointing unfortunately especially since it was our first time at the venue. Maybe we just experienced a bad night. The night seemed to be more about Jon Faddis comedy and talking rather than the music. When they did play is was fantastic, but there were far too many long breaks in between the tracks. Great view of course over Central Park, however next time we will be going to a smaller Jazz club thats cheaper and is more about the music.Bar staff were fantastic, food and drink were great although a bit pricey. The sound system wasnt too bad but it could certainly do with some improvements or upgrades to create a fuller sound. After experiencing superb Jazz clubs in Australia we really expected more from Dizzys. As I said, maybe we had a bad night but we left early along some significant others.
Beautiful music, stunning view over Columbus Circle, and some solid food. A standard in the NYC jazz community, this place is the tops. They have an exceptional jazz education program through Jazz at Lincoln Center with live listening events, special presentations, and various jazz-centered programming throughout the year. Dizzys is a great place to catch some of the old guard, as well as hear the next generation of jazz musicians. The place itself is large enough to feel open without losing the intimate jazz club feel. The food is standard American fare and priced at jazz club prices, aka, expensive, but then you really arent there for the food. If you love jazz, go. If you want a great experience for a night out in NYC, go.
We went here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday because he is a big fan of jazz. We were floored by the amazing view of Central Park and the intimacy of the venue from the start. We were seated at a table in the front row and couldnt be any closer to the performers.I would give Dizzys 5 stars for the music alone, but I didnt love my drink or meal. The Cheddar Burger was bland and sweet potato fries were soggy. I understand the cost of food a drink is a premium due to location and live music, but I would return for only for a drink and a show instead of a full sit down meal since I wasnt impressed. Our server was also very impresonal and spent minimal time servicing our table from start to finish. Overall, Id return for the A+ music experience, but not the food.
I was looking forward to taking my father who was visiting to Dizzys as a surprise since he loves jazz and it was a bossa nova night. I should have seen the signs when reserving on the website didnt work, left countless phone messages, emailed customer service who got back days later saying someone would contact me (they never did). Luckily, my boyfriend was able to snag reservations for the later show.We arrived 30 minutes before the show and there is a big line for reservations and a small line for walk-ins. Before the show they explained pricing - $25 per person for reservations, $45 for walk-ins. That seemed reasonable. Perplexingly, we saw more walk-ins get inside with great seats. Our seats? All the way in the back, near the entrance door on a chair. The staff had to pull over a seat for my dad where there was no seat because it was literally at the entrance. For all the hassle I had gone through to make sure we had reservations, it was laughable that we were given the absolute most inconvenient seats for viewing, hearing, drinking and eating. Another incredibly irritating part of an already infuriating evening of the evening was witnessing people who were walk-ins stand by the door arguing to get in without reservations get spots, which were actually infinitely better than where we were sitting (for the 10th time...with reservations). But the best (worst) part of the night is when the bill came. Astronomical. They had charged us for walk-ins. WE HAD MADE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCE. The waitresss excuse: Oh, all reservations are charged as walk-ins. But - didnt they just announce before the show differently? Outright lying and misleading patrons. I have the phone calls, emails, to back it up. Hell, I even went to Dizzys front desk days before to make sure we had reservations. The space and music was wonderful but all in all, a very disheartening experience and I felt very sorry for my dad as I had wanted to this to be the big surprise NYC experience.
No, jazz fans, this is not a dive. It is not an obscure, smoky basement club frequented by great musicians. Its not a stuffy, super-crowded room on Bleeker Street in the Village. Those things have their place, but so does Dizzys. This is a modern, classy club with a spectacular location overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park. It seems to send the message that Jazz deserves to be placed high up on a pedestal. The room is elegantly designed and it has beautiful decor and good service for food and cocktails. And its located in one of NYCs great mixed-use complexes containing high rise buildings, a 4-story upscale shopping center, a Whole Foods Market in the basement, and several bars or eateries. I am describing the Time Warner Center, containing Jazz at Lincoln Center as one of its components. Jazz at Lincoln Center has 3 performance venues, and Dizzys is the smallest, most intimate, and most impressive of the three. I have seen two great shows here during the past two years. Its easy to make the arrangements, too. You reserve your table by phone, with no payment necessary prior to the show. During the show you can order dinner, snacks, desserts and drinks. The cover charge for music (usually $35 or $40 per person) is added to your bill, and you pay your server for everything at the end of the show. Seating is mostly at tables, but there is also a bar with bar stools, and there are many other high seats along the edges of the room that have just a drink bar to rest your glass on. The sound is very good, thanks to a top-notch modern sound system. The setting (with Central Park visible through the glass wall behind the stage) is one-of-a-kind, and the performers from around the world are wonderful. It was on my bucket list to visit this jazz club. Well I did it, and now I go back again every year! Cant stay away! If I lived in NYC, I would go much more often. Visiting this building, this shopping center, and this club ... is a wonderful experience, and we love to do it during the holidays when the building has terrific decorations and holiday spirit. The club is not terribly expensive, either. If you want to impress your date with a night out on the town, give this a try. You wont be disappointed.
Bought tickets for their Thanksgiving Parade viewing event! TOTAL SCAM!! Paid $900 for tickets for 2, spent 2 hours walking the streets of NYC trying to get in. The letters they sent to get through barricades were bogus, wouldn’t get us through one!! Police laughed when we showed them told us to walk around. We walked every possible way for over 2 hours in freezing weather!! Got back to our hotel at around 10am and watched parade in the streets enjoying Dunkin Donuts! Spoke to SAM the event coordinator expressing my frustration and he’s truly rudest person ever! Told me he was looking a room full of people and if they figured it out so should I?!?!? WOW!!!!They should be reported, don’t buy tickets to any holiday event that involves getting through any kind of barricade. Traveled from Atlanta to be ripped off! So disappointed .....
The view cant be beat. Enjoyed the overall experience of the jazz show here so much more than when I visited Birdland. Excellent performer - we all had a great time.Too bad about the food minimum, as the food menu items seemed unappealing to me and in reality all 3 of our meals were pretty bad.
The staff at Dizzys are magnificent starting. from the warm greeting at the Reservation desk/Coatcheck, the knowledgeable wait staff with mind blowing cocktails and brilliant Jazz musicians. The food speaks for itself...AWESOME ( I highly recommend the oxtail appertizers, Ive never had oxtail and now I am addicted to it)
Creative jazz, with a nice view of Central Park as a backdrop. My martini, however, came with an entire lemon *rind*. Maybe they couldn’t find a peeler? Food average and expensive as you’d expect. Most people did not seem to be eating. My check was wrong, but quickly fixed.
A beautiful acoustic and aesthetic ambiance to experience Americas rich and vibrant art form - Jazz. The setting embraces you from all perspectives. Staging for audience and performing artists is designed to capture the spirit and emotion through the sights and sounds of the world renown venue. En hora buena! Congratulations! New York is made richer for its presence.
Always a good time at this Jazz Venue. A forever changing roster of legends and up-and-coming musicians playing above Columbus Circle, with the Central Park backdrop allows you to enjoy the environment and get lost in the music. The food, although pricey, is well prepared for anyones palate. Late Night menu specials are something worth indulging in for those with tight pockets. Student discounts are also available. A must visit hotspot for the Jazz and Food Lover in you.
Jazz w/ view of Central Park, how can you beat that? They bring in old-school, emerging, and big name acts to command the intimate stage as you choose from southern recipes with a twist (like candied jalapeno relish for catfish). Some of the menu items can miss, but overall youre going for good food with great jazz.
Within Lincoln Center is the Dizzy Gillespie Club.We attended for the show featuring Ingrid Jensen accompioned by the University of William Patterson. The clubs surrounding is great, great accoutics, beautiful view of the city, great food and drinks and a very professional staff.
I left a booking for a table on the message recorder. After they did not return the call (saying that they would not call a non american number), I called them and got a verbal confirmation. Be there at 20.45, and wait on the bar and we will seat you at 9.30). They keep the peaople standing outside for 40 minutes or more ! After entering they gave us two bar chairs along the wall. While complaining, the manager told me that they are fully booked ahead for two weeks !!! Well, glad they have a great business. But they dont care manipulating the people. Just to keep the place full. If you care about being seated as per your booking, better stay away or try to make sure you get what you ordered.
Patrons at Dizzy’s Club can enjoy phenomenal jazz sets and Southern-inspired food while taking in incredible views of New York City. The venue, which is situated on the fifth floor of the Columbus Circle’s Time Warner Center, is part of Jazz at Lincoln Center – a non-profit venture launched by Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. The building also houses two larger performance venues: The Appel Room and Rose Theater.
Dizzys is the consummate jazz experience:Best musicians and groups, some are recent jazz graduates who also perform with Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, in Bwy Shows. A spectacular venue overlooking Central Park, delicious food, good and caring service. Ive heard everyone from Jon Batistes Stay Human to Jazz greats like Christian McBride, Wynton Marsalis and even dropbys Stevie Wonder. Always a wonderful surprise.
It is probably the Jazz club withe the best view, which overlooks central park. I live in Harlem so Im spoiled with the free low key amazing jazz. But this place offers a great deal tuesdays-thursdays at 11pm $5 cover, drinks, and bites, with a rotation of great bands.
If you wanna have your breath taken away by some of the best vocalist and horn players in the WORLD! Come to Dizzys a world class Jazz Club overlooking Central Park. Dizzys views are stunning and the acoustics compliment the night sky. Prepare to drown in a symphonic sea of tranquility. As that werent enough, your tastebuds will lindy-hop for joy because of the chefs equisite fushion menu of New Orlean fine dining. Wether you are dressed up for a special occasion or chilling in your jeans and favorite cardigan, make sure you make reservations far in advance, as Dizzys tends to sell out because it never sells you short. Dizzys is an amazing cosmopolitan place for romance, meetings and new beginnings. Come to Dizzys!
...Although DIZZYS CLUB boasts a bandstand on which performers backs are to a large window, offering sumptuous views of the Manhattan skyline, it is the rooms fine sightlines and EXQUISITE SOUND that put it at the head of the list of NYC jazz clubs...Their booking policy strikes a balance between top flight, established artists and up-and-coming talent...Front of house and wait staff are SUPERB: polished, professional, and friendly!...Southern-themed menu yields good food, and the drinks are stellar!...
The place has an incredible acoustic and a beautiful view cause it’s on the rooftop of one building located in Columbus Circle, just in the south left corner of Central Park, the food it’s ok, not bad but not good, the drinks menu it’s a very classy cocktails but if you’re going to see a jazz band I think this is one of the best places in New York.
They advertise a show to begin at 11:15...its now 11:50 and were still outside waiting in LINE. No one has even been allowed to enter. DONT ADVERTISE SOMETHING YOU CLEARLY CANNOT DELIVER. People make plans surrounding this show and they rely on your word that the show will begin at 11:15. Your people are disorganized, lost and clueless... A direct reflection of leadership.

2022-03-10Wonderful service all around, from greeters, bartenders, cooks, and our server Quenton. Additional to the phenomenal live music, and NYC views. Tonight was so memorable and romantic! Thank you dizzy! The musicians you had playing tonight were amazing!!! Even if your not into Jazz, this place will have you coming back. The intimate atmosphere was fantastic and one not to miss. Definitely will be back soon!

2022-05-24Was here over the weekend for an amazing show- The Monk Project and it was great! The space is intimate and dimly lit with beautiful views of the city/ Central Park. The stage is center with really good acoustics. The show was a 10! The service was a 4, maybe 5. Drinks took a while which was ok but then the server says the BAR lost the ticket so we never received our last drinks. The banana bread was burned and dry. A server that is in tune with his clients would have noticed immediately rather than me cancelling the request 20 minutes later. Go for the show/ music.

2022-01-24Intimate, modern space that’s 50% old-skool jazz dive and 50% municipal high school on top of a shopping centre.Direct access from the shopping centre is ok, straight to the 5th floor, then the club is like a modern cinema at the entrance and then opens into a cosy room (seating about 200) with a small stage on front of windows with great views over the park and Columbus circle. The approach is to eat and drink for an hour and then enjoy the act.If you’re at or close to the bar then you have the advantage of high seats and a great view, with the disadvantage of service clatter and the noisiest dishwasher in Manhattan! However as an intimate and accessible venue it would be hard to beat.Oh and prices are reasonable too.

2022-06-30Great music! BUT… this whole club feels like a badly organised college party. While in line to get in, this impolite woman yells to everyone to wear their mask. But once you get into the club, there’s no masks anymore. While we were intensively listening to this great concert, one of the waiters yells into our ears, trying to sell us more drinks. While all of our glasses were still at least half full! During the last 15 minutes of the concert they already bring you the check. This place has no vibe, no hang. The concert is over, and immediately they start to clean up the club. While all of us felt like drinking another drink after the gig… SAD! They could be more friendly and they could make some more money by staying open a little longer. Well, at least the music was great… Don’t go for anything else than the concert.

2022-06-22The Club is great. You sit at your table and be served with a wide range of foods and drunk to choose from.Tonight, the jazz music was very extreme. You like or dont like it. Jazz is not my style of music, but I was intrigued by the1st band. The leader had written jazz music for strings. Each violin znd the one cello played their own separate parts and the leader played the saxophone. It all fitted in well. The effort of writing all the movements was a masterpiece. The second banc was different, with a organist, drums, 2 saxophonists and a trumpet. They started to play one piece shich lasted nearly one hour. We left , like others, before the end.Great first experience, for me .

2022-03-09As one of the best jazz clubs in the city, Dizzy’s is absolutely fantastic. The food and ambiance are very good. The music is truly incredible, some of the best live jazz in New York. I suggest you come early to get a better table. It’s first come first serve.

2021-11-02The musicians were good. Came here for my birthday and I have a vague feeling that I have actually been here couple of years back. There was a cover of $40 per person, which was definitely fine. Additionally, however, you had to spend at least $21 per person, which would be ok, but the selection was not great, plus there was no warning on when it was the last call to order, so we ended up paying for nothing. The view is pretty. I would recommend getting there on an earlier side to get a better table (also tables are sometimes shared). Too few toilets.

2022-06-29Took my son to see a Latin jazz percussionist. Fantastic place! The real deal. Top notch musicians, beautiful club with incredible view of the city! The food wasn’t so good, however.

2022-04-21Very Good music good cocktails. The place they call bar in reservation is not comfortable its a shame to take 70 $ for this chairs.
