NYS DMV .gov site says permit tests have to be started at 4pm. Got there at 3:40pm and was told they don’t give the tests after 3:45pm and I was too late. Thanks so much for my wasted trip and sitter for the kids.
Good visit. They have forms out side of their door and phone number. You peek through the window and talk to them on your phone. They explained to me what to do.

2020-07-17Fast, friendly, very knowledgeable and efficient. Yes, you have to make appointments to renew your license, but its fast, and my clerk was very knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient in how she does her job! I always leave satisfied with everything they do. This DMV makes the stereotype obsolete!

2020-06-17They are by appointment only right now. Nothing on the website says this and you cant get through on the phone lines. I just happened to cross paths with an employee on her way out the door who graciously gave me an appointment for the following week. I think we could do better here folks. Update the website, make it easy for people to schedule appointments online, put a sign on the door that says by appointment only and get a phone system that welcomes your customers with the important information so theyre not wasting valuable time trying to get essential services sorted out.

2021-05-12I had an appointment at the dmv office today to register my camper. Appointment only because of covid. This was a wonderful experience! No waiting, no crowd. Wish it could be like this all the time! The woman who helped me was kind , helpful, and friendly!

2021-06-07Im grateful for the convience of the local satellite offices in St. Lawrence County but the one in the Burg is horrible. I live in town and its just easier to drive to Gouverneur or Canton. Rude and inefficient is the nicest thing I can say about the Burg. Make a person jump through hoops for something Canton and Gouverneur put right through in quarter of the time
