Absolutely great food at good prices with nice staff. Cute little pub for sure. Only downfall is the restrooms are in need of renovations!
There was no kids menu. Were told that theyre kids menus were basically what was on the appetizer list then charged a la carte for the kids ($13)...for burned chicken tenders n fries. They ran out of sides then charged me for them anyways. Worst service ever to add to that!!!
My husband and I ate here last night, I had a burger and he had tenders. Our meal and waitress was great!

Its a combination of a diner and a sports pub atmosphere. Friendly staff. Pretty good food. Not too expensive. No breakfast menu. Great place for a bargain meal in Alex Bay.
The locals told us that the steak was the same quality as a Ruths Chris.... I dont think theyve ever been to one. The steak was terrible very tough and barely edible. They also put way too much seasoning on the steak so you couldnt even taste beef if it was there. The waitress was very pleasant and managed all 12 customers that were in there at once. Overall not a great experience. We will not be returning ever.
Burger was good. A little over Medium Well but still very juicy, tender, and cooked well. Call order in advance and still waited a long time to be served even after being seated. Staff seemed friendly. Not sure if there was a public bathroom or not. Nice little place to eat.
Absolutely 5+ stars! The staff was so friendly, the food was great and it was just a fun laid back atmosphere. Can’t wait to visit again.Mary was fantastic ❤️ So was the owners daughter that was waitressing 👍🏼🍻

A local said the strip sirloin was good there....wrong. it was not a strip, but just a chewy sirloin cooked with waaaay too much pepper. Huge disappointment. Dont bother with the food, stick with Beers and snacks. Dont waste your money. Waitress was good and hard working. That was worth an extra point.

We came to this place because every other place in town was either closed or had extremely poor customer service. The food was subpar to say the least. We ordered a pizza, which had to have been frozen then burnt to a crisp in the over.. it also tasted like cardboard. We also ordered chicken fingers, they came out with 4 small pieces! Also microwaved. And a burger which was meh. Also took about 45 minutes to an hour for the food to come out. Cant expect much from a bar, but when they advertise food we would have liked to know it was trashy bar food that is only good for drunk folks. 2 stars because the waitress was nice and did an okay job.
Zak took great care of us tonight. Special orders dinners for keto, and kept our table happy! We will be back

Everything tasted fine but nothing was freshly prepared. Staff were the loudest in the place and had an overpowering odor of cigarettes. Wont be returning.
Walked around the town for some time trying to decide on a restaraunt that hubby and I could both agree on (seafood allergy in a heavy seafood based town is tough) but could also accommodate our 7 month old. We decided to stop and try Dockside Pub so we could also watch the Yankee game. We were impressed with the Yankees, Miami and SU memorabilia on the walls. Hubby got wings, I got taco salad. Both were delicious. Wait staff was great! We will definitely be back!

Couldn’t find another restaurant open in the area .. came across this little pub decided to give it a try the service was wonderful and the fish fry’s were great !! A must go to if your in the area !!

A cozy, pleasant dive bar in the best sense of the word.Wide selection of beers, the usual collection of liquor, well drinks and even a small selection of wine.Surprisingly good food including healthy choices.All in a friendly atmosphere with quick service at extremely reasonable prices.
We go on Tuesday night most times cause they have the burger special. There burgers are always good and juicy and you get your choice of 2 toppings on burger night. Staff is always friendly. Would recommend it to everyone.
Great food and really friendly staff, with honest suggestions on what to order. The wings were fabulous, crunchy and hot! The perch dinner on special was crispy, fresh, and cooked perfectly.
Ordered food for takeout. There kitchen was opened late and the food was prepared quickly and it was delicious! They also made sure to include everything needed to enjoy our meal. We will be going here again!
Ive been going to the Dockside since the late 90s, and it has always been a reliable watering hole and place to grab a quick bite (late) or sit down for an evening and enjoy one of the daily specials. The Dockside wings are a local hit, and the French bread pizza and burgers are fantastic. Beer is cheap, food is good, and the kitchen is open late. What more can you ask for?
The food was horrible. The service was even worse. The place looks like with enough force of wind that itll all fall down. Not to mention the black mold growing in bathroom n kitchen area. This place caused my family n I to become very sick. Would never recommend
I agree with previous reviewer about nasty, psycho waitress. We had a boat tour to catch and, 25 minutes after telling her our order, politely asked her to check on it. She yelled, for benefit of other 3 filled tables, Its only been 12 min since I placed your order! We were quiet with her smug attitude the rest of lunch. We wrote on our bill that arguing with your guests is not good customer service. As we left she came running up the sidewalk screaming at us and told us to go back to the country we came from. Wow! We 4 senior ladies will gladly do so!

Cold day in Alexandria Bay so this local Pub was a perfect place to get out of the cold and enjoy a wonderful cup of hot soup and a sandwich. The service was quick and friendly and the food was very good.

A small local restaurant, standard bar food with sandwiches, burgers, etc... that has a lot of delicious fresh fish specials like perch and walleye when available.
This is a local pub in Alex Bay, and it is small with a few tables, a bar, some tv, and some lottery stuff. It ain’t the Ritz, but the food is terrific (pub food), the service is great, and you will meet the interesting people who live in the area. It is open year round, which is a definite plus.
Idk who is reviewing this place but honestly the most bland food Ive ever had. Fries were undercooked and near raw, unsalted. Parmesan boneless wings were 6 microwaved tiny chicken bites that were unsauced. And then pizza which, usually even bad pizza is like a 7/10, has got to be near the worst pizza Ive ever had. If you are starving and want to get food somewhere dont come here. Id rather have gone to a corner store and ate doritos or something instead of food they made. Stay away. Im doing you a favor.

Decent food, bar tender appeared a bit preoccupied tho and didnt properly hear my order, totallyleft off my sandwich. Reordered and ot came out fast but would have been nice to get it all at once.
I ordered a whole pizza for me and friends and they didnt put on all the toppings I paid for. When I asked they lied to my face and told me the toppings were under the cheese.After looking I said again there no pepperoni on this pizza. They brought me out a plate of pepperoni to add it myself.Refused to make me a new pizza then called police on me when I got upset at the poor service.It was a Unbelievable experience.Never will I spend another dollar there.
Ordered a burger with everything got one with nothing. Told waitress there must have been a mistake and she took the plate and left. She came back with the burger and stuff to make my own. Told her if I wanted to do that I would have stayed home. She went nuts. Heard she has reputation for being nasty . Numerous people have told her name just by her description. Cant believe any employer would allow her near a customer.
We got into the region quite late and were looking for a place to eat a late dinner. Three of us had burgers which were fine and big. Also tried the Reuben which was quite good. They were out of Sam Adams draft though.

Wasnt pleased with my dinner salad.The house dressing caused me to choke. The menu is junk food. Pizza, deep fried foods. The special was somewhat decent, but too much sauce for me.

Walking around Alexandria and came across this little jem.We wanted take out,no problem, had a couple of beers and and got to talk to the bartender and one of the waitresses.They gave us alot of local information and we appreciate it very much.Would definitely go back to this Pub.

2021-08-10Visiting Carthage NY from Arizona and I really liked this place. Came in for an early lunch before it got busy. Clean and a great staff. Enjoyed the layout and the food. I was told it was the best place in town for burgers and they did not disappoint!

2022-07-03Soda was nasty after once sip it was sent back and we were still charged for it. The veal was nasty and I didnt want it and they didnt take it off either. They ran out of Mac salad and charged for it. Not friendly and kids meal was $13!!! Definitely skip this place 👎🏼 if I could give zero stars I would!!

2022-04-08My second time coming into Alex Bay’s Best Kept Secret. Stopped in with a group to friends two weeks ago and had some appetizers and beers. Came in tonight on a very rainy Thursday. Only one other couple present, and it was later, but I was able to order dinner. Poutine here is quite awesome. Bang bang shrimp is a winner. Several craft beers on tap and a very large selection of canned beers. I had a really great chat with the new owner Brianna. This place has been in her family for over 60 years. She has done a real nice job remodeling the place and updating the menu. If you are in the area, stop into The Dockside and help support this local business.

2022-05-02If you are not in a rush this place is okay. I ordered a appetizer and it came out burned, it also took about 25 minutes. The main dish that I ordered was really good! However it took about 35 minutes to be ready. The service is below average but the food is good as long as it dosent get burnt. That was my experience.

2022-06-04The fish sandwich is a large bun with fish that is maybe a quarter inch thick. You cant even taste the fish. The manager said there was nothing she could do and did not take it off the check even though we didnt eat it. The onion rings were cooked in grease that is not hot enough. They were soggy and full of grease. The roasted carrots were hard in the middle. One of the worst experiences ever. Manager does not know how to treat customers.

2022-02-19Been going here for years. Maybe twenty? This is hands-down my grandmas favorite restaurant, and shes been all around the country many times.Their Reubens are fabulous, as are their taco salads. And Shirley temples and martinis.The food is great, the service is great, and the people are great.It may not have the view that other places in the area have, but there is no better place if you want good food in a good environment.Bear in mind that Ive only been here for lunches, though ive been dozens and dozens and dozens of times.Seriously, my grandma and I pretty regularly talk about how much we miss Dockside, being in Arizona.There is one downside, though: its not accessible in any way. Even using a cane would be quite a struggle in there. But theres a couple steps up, and its crowded enough that mobility aids really are not feasible except during the lulls.

2021-05-31This is definitely a great place to spend the evening or for dinner. Its with in walking distance of everything on the main drag of A Bay, and the food was reasonably priced, and tasted AMAZING!!! We got take out one night and ate in the other. Their mules(different variants of a Moscow Mule), hard lemonade, and River Monster were great. Definitely not your traditional sit down restaurant, but for bar food look no further. It truly is the hidden gem of A-Bay.
