Dog & Bone in other cities:
Just had drinks before a show at Gramercy. Great service very clean and the pints, well delicious!! Lee is a great bartender even though hes a Man city fan 🤣 only j/k. Also the next bartender who took over was also Great. Sorry cant recall his name Ill blame that on the alcohol. Thanks for having us!!!!
Place was clean, they did the necessary covid vaccine checks before done in, guys were very pleasant and beer prices was great at happy hour. Their spicy chicken wings was finger licking good as well. Definitely my best bar in the East side Manhattan. Please tip generously.
We were wondering the streets randomly for somewhere to have lunch and decided to try Dog & Bone since it also had outside seating, which we took.We had the poutine and the Irish breakfast for our mains. The former was a huge amount of food and the latter was in a soup bowl size. The soup bowl made it slightly hard to eat but it was tasty.Given it was the 4th of July there was only a skeleton crew running things. The bar tender/waitress seemed to be doing practically everything. Even with about 6 or 7 groups in the place it wasnt slow service, she did a great job.The music was loud inside, so Im not sure Id eat inside when the weather gets colder. Being outside allowed us to hear it as purely background music.Overall a good experience.
When I came in, one of the lady white staff told me that dogs are not allowed inside the restaurant but when I saw one dog already inside I talked to that staff again what I saw then thats the time they allowed my dog provided he stayed on the floor which is fine with me but my point is how she acted and talking to me in a very rude manner and she even let you feel that she doesnt like dogs. First of all its a dog friendly restaurant that’s why we choose to eat there not with the food but with our dog convenient! I wont recommend this place to those who have dogs! Very disappointed customer! My first and last!
We ate here because the location was convenient, and the menu seemed decent. The experience was quite disappointing. The sesame chicken appetizer tasted like plain frozen salty chicken tenders you could get anywhere. My friend had the grilled chicken and vegetables which was ok, but it arrived after I had already finished my meal. The service was awful. Considering there was only one other table besides us, we would have thought that there would be no reason for our server to be “too busy.” He was rude, slow, and turned the whole experience sour. There are plenty of restaurants in this area near by to choose from that are much better. Definitely would not recommend this place.
Been here a couple of times since it opened recently. Great happy hour drink specials (all drafts $6, special cocktail $8, also wine on the list). Brats/sausages, which are the main focus of their menu, are outstanding. Other food solid as well. Service is friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The owners are super warm and welcoming and are happy to hear feedback on the menu as they are still perfecting it. Also, bonus- kid friendly!
Great quality of food and drinks. House cocktails use quality liquor, wines are noticeably better than anything you will get at another place for the price. The sausages here are killer. Get the sampler, perfect for two and will only set you back $22. The sausages are flavour packed, best in neighborhood. Perfect meal with drinks.
Weve been visiting in this hood for the past couple months and this is our go-to happy hour spot! The folks here, especially the manager Hailey & Elena are super nice and fun, the bevvies are tasty and strong and they are soo nice to our little pup Dwight. OK, we pretty much just drink here but the snacks weve had - artichoke fries, spinach & artichoke dip, country salad and the beed & guinness pot pit - are deelish. Go!
Outdoor, bar, window bar, high top and booth seating. Tasteful decor, attentive but concise staff, excellent sausages, generous serving of fresh chips, micro brew favoring taps. Top notch vegetarian and non alcoholic options too.Try the veggie dog. No toppings other than the beets. You wont regret it.
They have good beer and nice service. I have been two times and both experiences have been smooth. The food is really good—their Mac & Chesseis with sausages comes in a small portion but is very fullfilling. There are TVs for sports and they keep the volume at a decent level.
Went here on a Saturday night for my birthday because the line somewhere else was so long. It was amazing. The atmosphere was super quiet and chill, everyone was able to stand around, chat and mingle happily and drink and be merry. People still ask me what that place was called because it was so chill.
Horrible experience! BEWARE! Terrible service and awful food. The “sesame chicken bites” is LITERALLY basic chicken tenders with sirracha on the side.“Pigs in a blanket” is a big sausage with oily bread around it.The “toffee pudding” was a toffee cake. When I asked the waitress what this stuff was she was super rude and told my friend she was leaving in a week so she basically didn’t care. Then we paid and I even left a 20 percent tip. After we paid my friend wanted a drink. She paid for it, finished her drink and then we left.I walked away but she got chased down by the bartender claiming we didn’t pay the bill!!IT WAS CRAZY!!!! Then he realized we did and walked away but by that time my friend lost her Uber. This place is actually insane. Never again. Seriously... I can’t stress this enough.
British, British and British! This is a British bar with British everything. With that being said the food, service and prices are fantastic. Also this is just a heads up this place gets packed when any type of European sport is on like soccer/football and rugby. So if you’re into that you’ll be home if not go anyway and enjoy... it just might be a little loud.
Happy to see a restaurant in this neighborhood spot again. Stopped by last night and we tried the Keilbasa plate (with red cabbage and mashed that was to die for) and a fantastic smoked trout with arugala wrap. I love the atmosphere of the previous establishment (the short lived Rocky Slims) and I was happy to see that much of that is still in place with Dog and Bone. I look forward to future visits to try more of the menu, and the fun cocktail list.

2021-11-21Standard bar but 5 stars for showing the cricket, great pints and chips with curry as well.

2022-04-26Worst grilled cheese and tomato soup combo that I ever ordered!. Salty cup of soup was 2/3 full. Soggy and lightly toasted cheese sandwich, no tomato. Skip this place. A joke for $16.

2022-04-08It was my first time there. My funds and I had a good time. Erin, the bartender really made us feel at home. Definitely will be back. We didn’t know but we could have brought our fur baby. Great place!!

2020-10-31Very pleasant British-themed restaurant with some authentic touches - the baked beans were great and the curry & chips were almost too good to be a genuine replica. The indoor dining is very well spaced out and (as of Nov 2020) has large clear partitions between tables which adds a level of comfort to the experience. There is also plenty of outdoor seating on a newly pedestrian street.Beer options tend towards the standard American choices (which are good) although there are a couple of English beers in cans.

2021-09-21I stopped in for a little afternoon drink to kill time and they had a fun happy hour. And the bartender was really nice and super laid back yet on point and helpful. I didnt try any food but the Aperol spritz was A1 !

2022-06-28I first ordered a Paloma, which is one of only like 8 cocktails featured on the menu. It was terrible! Another member of my party also had one and agreed, so I guess it wasn’t just me. I tried to order nachos but they never came. Maybe a misunderstanding? For an entree, I went with fish and chips. It was Applebee’s worthy. I go one star for the food and drink and two stars for adequate service. Too many other good options around to ever come back here.

2022-05-27Do not go here! - We arrived here or a night cap on a Saturday May 21st. We ordered two drinks and two glasses of water. The bar tender (who I think had a few of his own drinks), was absolutely horrible. After getting our drinks, I asked for two glasses of water. I watched as he grabbed two dirty glasses from the end of the bar, dumped out what was in it. Poured water in it and handed them to me. Even one glass still had a paper drinking straw wrapper in it.We did not drink our drinks as I was unsure even if those glasses we dirty. This place needs to be shut down by public health.DO NOT GO!!!!
