The Allegany location is a great spot to pick up those must haves and last minute needs. Generally well stocked and organized.
I havent the past two times going to Dollar general to get my gain digitals my $5.00 gain digital doesnt come off and they tell me it does but its my $5.00 off $25.00 Im tired of them doing this to me
Dollar generals are always cluttered and messy every one I step into. Its always the same.. too much stuff for little space you have for stores.
Good spot for quick in and out items. No data service inside the store so prepare you coupons outside.

Depends on which store you are at if its good or not. The in on Goucher Street is a good one and the store in Nantyglo is another good one.
Dollar General is a very good store its like the old five and dime store , they have a alot of stuff ,its a must see. All for a Dollar.

2022-04-10Usually I love our Visits to this Dollar General but the last few trips have been more then negative. There has been a staff change and although most the staff is amazing the last few time we have went in that has not been the case. The older lady doing the check out has been rude to my child. She puts her down when she is trying to help put groceries on the counter and picking up the bags.

2020-11-02Was not happy with Dollar general! Customer service is not very good. I went to grab some Epsom salt and one of the lower ones fell off the shelf because it was just sitting on the edge, not any fault of mine, just an accident! I picked it up before it ran all over the place and Told the employee right away so no one slipped on it, she sounded really upset about it and I heard her on the phone complaining to someone about it and me. Then I went to check out and the same lady checked my merchandise out and just put it on the counter. Never said they didnt have bags or anything, nothing posted on the door that they didnt sell bags or something??? Last time I was there 3-4 weeks ago, they had bags so I asked her about it she said its the law! I explained that they dont even offer to sell a bag or anything? She said I can offer you a laundry basket??? To put my groceries in!!! Im disabled it was very difficult to handle it on my own. She never offered to help me or anything. Would not recommend this Dollar General. If people arent happy with their job theres other places hiring in Olean area .

2020-10-09The Allegany NY store is our neighborhood store. We cannot believe how absolutely filthy this store is! Every time myself or my family go in, it is unstocked and dirty. They never have anything! I watched someone drop an item on the floor and they were too afraid to pick it up because the floors look like they haven’t been swept since opening day. The staff can never be found. You stand at the register forever waiting for service. Items always ring up more than they are priced. We will be driving an extra 10 minutes to use the store in Hinsdale NY. A shame we lost our grocery store to be replaced by filth.

2021-01-03Its different then a few months ago. Its must be short staff. Shelfs are not stocked though put the whole store. The workers are nice and all.

2019-03-05This place just about everyday products that youll need at really reasonable prices. Store even has a small dairy section as well as a small frozen section as well. They no longer have a ATM, but do accept most major credit & debit cards.

2019-12-13Store is ok.. Very messy - Dont go there often, not set up the same as the store I usually go to. There were 2 employees working and I stood at the register waiting to be checked out for over 10 minutes.... Then they both appeared out of the air together..

2019-02-14Actually pretty gpod for a major corporation franchis. Im not sure of they are owed locally or if ot is corporately ran but theyre rewlly friendly, hellful, and understanding employees. At least in my experiences, by the standards of other dollar generals this one definitely ranms higher than amy others.

2017-01-13Its a quick run in and get something store. Milk, bread, bandaids, you name it they probably have it there. Almost all the franchises are clean and well kept. Prices are reasonable. There are always sales going on.
