One of my favorite stores. They have everything you need at a great price. Clean store, wonderful employees
The new set up is pretty nice. It makes the place look a lot cleaner. They go through employees like crazy but more recently they have had help that is faster and more knowledgeable.
March 2 2019 I walked into dollar general store located 709 N. Main Street North Syracuse 13212 the employee with a brown long beard and hair has no respect!!! As I go to checkout my groceries he was scanning my stuff and throwing them into the plastic bag then he left out one of my items and I asked him I need a bag for that he threw it in the plastic bag like he doesn’t care about his customers One of these days he’s going to get hurt I will never go back to the dollar general again located 709 N. Main Street North Syracuse13212 this all took place at 2 o’clock in the afternoon!!!!
Great location, but this store is very closed off with tight isles. Some times messy and hard to find things.
Hes a very great they helpful service and experience did not watch you shop that allow you to shop I feel very comfortable when Im in the store
Messy, not so much their fault but website said they had what I wanted in stock they didnt and line was ridiculously long considering it wasnt busy.
This store went down hill always has stuff in the aisles that needs to put on shelves and they just sit there manager is rude and always outside smoking only 1 register open and no cashier around this store got very dirty shelves are always empty
Not my favorite dollar general...seemed a little out of date and crammed. However, as usual, they had some good stuff at a decent price.

Many items are not one dollar. Walmart has cheaper prices. Laundry soap is one example.

There is never anyone at the counter there was 4 people working an no one asked if they can help me or said hello the old lady at the register acted like I was bothering her when she finally came up to ring me up

2022-03-17If I could give zero stars I would. The employees are rude and unprofessional. Zero customer service. Went to the dollar general in North Syracuse, New York today. The cashier was on their cell phone when they cashed me out; there was obviously something going on because she was upset and distracted and I understood that. But once I got in my car and off on my way I looked over my receipt and realized the girl didnt give me the right amount of change. My total was 21.68. I gave her 40 bucks (as all I had was two 20s on me) she gave me a 10 dollar bill back with some change.So I called over there; got a few no answers but finally on the third try someone answered and I explained the situation; the person on the other end said come back in an hour I need to count the drawer and hung up without asking me my name or phone number or even giving me their name. (Very rude and short with me). So I waited an hour but instead of driving back there I decided to call first and check the status & thankfully I did because the girl that answered had no idea what was going on. I explained the situation, explained that I had spoke to someone before. (She wanted to know who but I didnt know; as the person gave me no name before) and this new girl was extremely rude. She said she had no idea what I was going on about. And then said she needed an hour to count the drawer. And I explained that was what the other person had told me. Then she said well I dont know what to tell you. And hung up. So def. not a fan of dollar general. Their customer service, professionalism and employees suck!NOTE TO DOLLAR GENERAL STAFF FOR FUTURE REFERENCES: the proper response would have been. Im so sorry for the error. At the end of shift we will count the drawer. Could I please have your name and phone number so we can reach you. or please hold while I put you on the phone with the store manager.

2020-06-16I needed ice cube trays and they were sold out at Target & Wal-Mart. So glad they were because Dollar General had JUST WHAT I NEEDED for incredibly less cost! The trays are really great quality! The staff was super helpful and kind! Looks a bit rough but dont let the paint job fool ya, its a great little store.

2019-02-28The managers treat their employees like garbage. Its sickening. I was there last night and it was probably about 40 degrees in the store. They should truly be ashamed. The manager is a total creep. I dont know how he got a position as manager. He shouldnt have made it past being a bag boy/cart collector. Need better management.

2017-11-23A great, large and clean Dollar General. Great deals in the clearance section and always well stocked shelves in every other department. They also have coupon offers you can load to your smartphone. Checkout is usually very quick and accurate. Staff is always friendly and courteous. Aisles are well lighted but can be a bit cramped if two carts trying to pass lol. All in all a great chain of stores and this is no exception.

2019-12-14I wasnt happy with their customer service at all. A line...2 registers...1 .ca shier was helping a couple so I went to her and she says oh actually Im not open. Which she actually was for them anyways. Then after I get through the first line and go out to my car...theres the cashier, who couldnt cash me and another customer out, outside having a cigarette!! It wouldnt of killed her to cash us out as I only had 2 items and the gentlemen behind me had 1 item. SMH

2019-10-15Been shipping there for 11 years and its at its worst now. Cluttered, bent can foods, staff is completely new and miserable. Refrigerators been broken for 3 to 4 weeks now. Not able to buy by weekly milk and dairy products. Please help get this dollar general back on track!!

2019-03-04Why is it that i always have to ask did i get the sale price? Today i did not ask and when i got home and checked my receipt i got robbed of about a dollar. Need to slow your cashiers down so the customer can keep up with the scanner to know what they are being charged

2019-02-02I visit this store almost daily the staff are very friendly and its almost like home everytime I walk though the door!!! The store is organized and things are easy to find and if you cant find something they are kind enough to show you to where the item may be!!!!!!
