Its a convenient store to pick up regular household items and snacks. They have great prices, the staff at this location was very friendly. Unfortunately the AC is not working right now.
Great prices, helpful staff. My only complaint is that sometimes empty shelves stay empty for a while. Other than that, I shop here almost everyday and find what Im looking for 90% of the time. Cant beat that.
Reasonable prices, great products, good store to come in and by the necessities. Could be more organized and clean. Staff is alright most of the time. I haven’t had a problem with them so far.
I like it. Sometime people can be a little crazy but be side it all I don’t blame them because it’s a long line and they will only have one or two cashiers open. They need more cashiers open there and more stuff to buy.
I will tell you in GREAT DETAIL how horrible this place is. I knew this place when it was called Family Dollar, the workers there were so Lazy and terrible and when they rebrand it into Dollar General they hired the same lazy and terrible workers along with some new faces. Ignore the times that google have provided because they open and close whenever the heck they want. They sometimes open at 8:00. I’m actually at the doors right now and they won’t up the doors. They close at 8:30 if you’re lucky. WHY? because they “don’t feel like staying late and cleaning up after our mess. They got S*** to do” yes their words not mine. This was specifically stated by the manager Tina who is always cussing when I’m their and is the loudest one. That extra 30-40 mins that they use for cleanliness is put to waste because every time I walk in the store it’s disorganized and messy and I always hear the workers complain. It is now 8:23 and they finally open the doors. Wow! Unprofessional. Not to say that all the workers are bad because their new hires are awesome. I wish I can remember their names. This location also needs to do better with restocking because they run out of items and sometimes I have to wait a month to get them again. They also need to do better with knowing the products in the store because there’s been many occasions where I’ve asked Tina for a product and she’s like “idc check over there, if you don’t find it we don’t have it” WHAT??? What do you do here exactly? Because she never knows where anything is. How do I know this information? I live right across the street and it’s most convenient for me. I might as well work there because I know where everything is. I had to figure it out myself. Also they always only have one to two (on a good day) cashiers on hand and 3 registers and the line be stretching to the back of the store. I don’t even think the manager or the owner cares anymore. There is a cashier with curly hair and glasses she’s amazing I must add. That’s all you need to know
This is the worst dollar general Ive ever been to the shelves are empty and unorganized. Things are not in the right place and the staff doesnt know where items are in the store. I walked in they didnt have 1 item I needed so I walked right back out.

This place is very unorganized, the shelves are never full they are always empty and i mean empty. Plus side of all this the young ladies working the register are very polite and they will assist you when they can.
Went to this store today to find out they dont follow policy and pretty much do what they want. Lamar the manager and the rest of yall store workers are in for a big surprise. Lets see if yall still have a job by the end of the month 😊
I dunno if giving 2 stars is too much... this place is messy, empty cashiers ( not all) rude. I understand they have a lot of shrink but I don’t think to the point of having this store empty. It has changed a bit for this past months but it still lacking and customers service ain’t the best.
Employee named Jeffrey is disgustingly rude and not helpful at all. I’m not from the area but if ever come here again I’ll be sure to avoid this establishment for sure. Besides my miserable encounter with Jeffrey the store was unorganized and a mess. Trash on the ground, packages that have obviously been stolen from just laying around, and shipment crates blocking walkways (fire hazard). I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, the “deals” aren’t worth the awe full experience.
Before I left the store with two of my family members,my aunt looks in the bag she was carrying and finds an item she didnt even put in there.When she went back to the cashier explaining that she didnt pick up this item the cash register said I dont like your shenagens like he thought she was lying or something,but she really didnt put in there because I was right there watching her and Im pretty sure she dont eat rice Krispy treats covers in chocolate she says those are disgusting so ya dont go here they might blame you for something

Mad I had to leave one star. Ran in there 25 minutes before closing today to buy my son a pack of pencils to do his homework. Greeted by staff angrily yelling at me why do people always have to come in right before closing? Dont make a mess!! Then they continued by sharing stories about how they had to get this other customers children in check saying how they yelled at a child and when the parent confronted them for it they yelled at the parents alike. Staff needs to be replaced all together dont even bother retraining them. They clearly think being disrespectful to customers is ok. I dont care what area we live in or what time it was. We deserve the same respect as if we were walking into any of the other Dollar generals out there.
Empty when I visited on a hot friday but they had no A/C I dont understand and only one person working the register. The social distancing between customers respectable today, no so much on other days.
Store is always busy with customers yet there is only one person at the register which always ends up in an argument. Which did today where cops was called to store and I had to wait with my daughter in the back of store with others customers and there kids
They have good deals in there especially now that every penny counts. Its clean. Wheelchair accessible. The have good variety of things.

Called dollar general but very few items for a dollar.....BUT great items for lower prices than family dollar...Id walk the extra 3 blocks and save..overall great place to shop very clean!!!
They need more help. 1 cashier and the store is packed with customers. I have to wait in line for 10-15 mins for 1 or 2 items. Pictures will be taken on my next visit

This is going to be Juicy and will probably need a part 2 LoL:II hav been calling for the last 2 weeks looking for a particular prepaid card and everytime these workers especially the Supervisor says they dont have the card and doesnt know when they are coming in.I get another girl who tells me they dont know when the cards come, it just shows up in a box ... LOLSo after hearing these retarded excuses, I give their corporate office a call. They take my information and say they will tell the district manager the issue.Tonight I call the store and I ask the guy who picked up about the prepaid card. When he went to look, he must have thought I hung up because I was having trouble hearing him but I didnt. I hear him telling some female employee what hes doing and all I hear is her BIG MOUTH screaming about how I keep calling and calling about this card and how I called the corporate office on them. Then I hear her say she doesnt even know what card Im talking about.Listen guys, I told these idiots about a promotion Dollar general is having and it obviously went in one ear and out the other. SMH.. I stayed on the phone for the next 30 minutes just waiting and listening to see if they would notice the phone not on the hook lmao 😂I heard miss big mouth talk about AutoZone to someone named Jose. I heard Jose talking about fish. Miss big mouth messed up a customers change by giving them just $2. I heard alot. So its safe to say, ILL be calling corporate AGAIN and AGAIN until I get those cards. TBC...dun dun dun dun
Originaly a Family Dollar, and a messy one too. Now it is well organized, mostly clean, and stocked. Like most francises that carry the Dollar name most of the wares are very affordable. It is like a extremely small Walmart.
I go there just about everyday and the lines are always long and it be about 3 lucky if 4 workers in the whole store and yes people do steal out that store everyday,i just came from anothee dollar general and some guy was in the ile putting deodorant that he didnt pay for ,when my mothly comes back on ima go over there and snatch me up a box of pads and tapons,thanks for listening 😀✌
This place never has nothing in stock. They have a app where you could clip coupons for savings but when you get to the store they never have the product available.
I like the prices, I dont like the long lines, the detergents where moved out of the isle and up the the check out due to theft, the clothing isle is blocked with boxes due to poor stocking.
Not a lot of variety, store needs a bit of work inside but the workers are helpful and the prices are good considering its a Dollar General.
Everything is cheap there. Get ur munchies here. If u have family up north, this is the place 2 go for their munchies. Lol ☮️

The location on Jackson ave bronx ny, manager named Lamar is very nasty and when you find items on sale and they ring up the amount of the sale he will refuse to sell you the item and is very nasty and cursed at me. I will never go here again. No stars is deserved for this location.

2022-05-13If I can give 0 stars I would, talk about the most unprofessional place and management. Making people waste their time with false hiring ads then the supervisor/ hiring person not gonna pick up. I recommend to shop anywhere else as rats have been found in the area.

2021-11-18Never fully stocked up, cleaning supplies are always missing and the cashiers are really rude. The managers are never there or always in groups talking to each other on work time. the lines are always long and everything is always locked and nobody ever wants to unlock the items for you to buy.

2020-12-30Love this store. Always have the products Im looking for unlike the other DG stores that barely have the products. Employees at this stores are always helping me find the product Im looking for when ever I need help. People hear treat you nice and offers to help you when trying to reach an item you cant reach or which ever the case is, Especially Daetwan, hes great in assisting and helping you, a very nice gentleman. I give this store a 10 star if I could. Overall this store is convenient to me.

2020-07-27Very nice place to shop it has a nice variety of goods. Very clean and well stock. In this heat wave we are experiencing the store is very cool. Only a half a block from my apartment. The employee behind the counter at checkout are very courteous. Like shopping there.

2020-10-05Place was good. I found everything I went for. The only problem besides their mess is that customers aren’t abiding by social distancing laws & I literally had to turn around & point to the tape marker on the floor & asked her to please stand on the line. Corona Virus or not, back up. No one should be on top of another person while shopping, waiting in line or paying at the register.

2020-06-21Excellent prices but not always good selection. Supplies run out quickly so one has to really be on ones game to get in there while supplies of sale items last. And if what you want is out of reach, then best of luck to you because no one will help you get it down. My only other concern would be the lack of general knowledge of...well... basically anything on the part of some of the staff. Theyve offered Western Union services for a couple of months now but no one has been trained to use it, so you cant actually get the service. Update: Apparently you now can use the Western Union, but you have to do it through the app and only a manager can assist you.An earlier review that I had written complained of the unfriendly staff and management. Well that has changed in the past year with new management and staff. They arent any more knowledgeable or even particularly helpful than those theyve replaced, but they are at least significantly more pleasant and somewhat friendlier.

2020-09-08As far as merchandise they are awesome but the customer service is horrible u cant get a smile from them not even if their life depended on it they look like they hate their job & really dont want to be there i even experienced a manager being VERY rude to a customer, mind u it was an older disabled woman. To be honest I go there because they have everything its true that u have to look for it because they arent organized & their prices are awesome but i hate going there because of their lack of respect & good customer service.

2017-11-16Pros.They sell a wide variety of items and the online coupons are really nice.Cons.I work here and i can you, the reason why theres always a line is because some employees (me and others) are getting schedule for one day a week (for 5.5 hours (me) @ minimum wage), and they are the lucky ones because some people arent getting schedule at all.People come EVERYDAY and steal. Theres no security, therefore employees , and customers lives are constantly being put in danger (two people have come with knives so far).

2018-07-26When there arent a lot of carts around, its pretty organized. I like some of the craft stuff they have here. And they have a lot of different snacks. Nice to go in the morning and browse. Staff is friendly as well.
