Sometimes the lines are insane but they got decent stuff for great prices. Very good customer service. It gets messy a lot they seem to be understaffed though.
Its always clean, organize and the staff always running around working second by second...none stop. I really dont know how they do it. Full of energy dudes. All ages employee arena this place is. Prices.... Are you crazy? Just the best prices and quality. They know my face there. Im always buying at Dallar General. Ny the way... Thank you managers and staff..owners as well. Blessings.
A lot of product unavailable but looks like they were restocking. The cashiers were cursing and you could here it in back of store. Need to be mindful of customers and children. Remain professional.
I go here all the time. They used to have a lot ofthings but recently things are all over the place but overall it’s pretty good. Some cleaning supplies you’ll find cheap here than other stores, some candles are pretty good, some of the cashiers are friendly and some aren’t but it’s a good store.
Great prices, a bit of a mess. The store definitely need more employees to keep the store organized throughout the day. The Hispanic young lady at the register with dark hair and ponytail was very friendly and fast!
I love coming here because I can always find some deals. I always do a full walk through of this store whenever I go. If I don’t I might miss something lol. I would definitely recommend to a friend or relative. This particular location is not bad. The only two things that are not too great is the fact that no one is around to help you if you need it and the store is always a little messy. Other than that, i love shopping here.
Personnel friendly and helpful. professional staff and affordable prices. If they dont have it, staff tried to get the s similar item or close to it ; they try to see if they could order the item for you. Wonderful service. The staff is very conscientious in keeping their customers happy and having them come back.
Almost empty, lots of boxes all over the place, little bit of stuff for Falls and Halloween. Already putted Christmas decorations but just a little bit. Lines too long and sometimes only one cashier.
It was fine. They didnt have plastic or other bags for sale. Only paper bags. They dont even have handles. Didnt like that.
Love me some Dollar Store, but honestly you need more cashiers sometimes the lines are way too long and unfortunately hard for people with disabilities to be standing for a long. Of time. Besides that , great store

I have never in my 48 years experienced the disrespect and embarrassment I received tonight at this store. I was basically scream at by several employees because they wanted to close their stores early. They locked their doors at 7:45 pm. I walked over using my cane because of a disability I have to get something essential I needed. I asked the employee can she please allow me enter to purchased this item. She said no and for me to come back tomorrow. She allowed two customers in just before me and I waited while she let the another customer in the doors after she refused me. I live in the Bronx, Hunts Point which is was known to be a highly populated latin community but is changing. The community is still biased to hiring diversity in the workers even though the neighborhood has changed. So if your not Spanish you find yourself mistreated and discriminated by customer service and in the work force. To continue. I went to the door ask her again can I please enter and she realized that I saw her let someone in after I asked her prior. She opened the door and began rudely and aggressively talking. Her words were we want to go home and I should have came early to store. It is okay to be in your feelings but to be rude and yell at a customer is unacceptable. Not only was she yelling at me several employees were yelling. And thats when I became angry because I felt threatened and I was being attacked. In my defense we exchanged words I kept stating there is no reason for you to be rude or yelling at me in front of everyone. Her words were to be exact was I dont care I should have came earlier and to get out. Then she threatened to call the police. I am a 48 year old man with disability and walking with a cane and Im being yelled at by several employees, embarrassed, told to get out and threatened to have the police called because she wants to go home. All I could think was what kind of hood and ghetto mess is happening. My thing is I respect youre closing your doors but at what judgement you are basing to allow or refuse people in your stores if you locked your doors. Discrimination and Racism. Black man Chronicles in America. Im going to fight this all the way. Its time to lawyer up. Im so glad this store is under surveillance and recorded. Im also going to my councilman and community board meetings as well as a petition. We have the power to change things make a difference. If we pull our money out, write, contact corporate, go to community meetings we will be heard. Lord knows I wanted to deal with this differently but I held my tongue. Dollar General you have not heard the last of me. If anyone cares to follow me leave a reply. I will make a change even if I have to go viral.
Shelves are not stocked the way they should, I can’t buy any of the detergent, fabric softener, air freshener or even meds that are on sale anymore. The simple thing like apple juice was out of stock..... waist of time going there
Security workers and cashiers think that every one that shops there are thrives. The staff is stereotypical of all minorities.like themselves.. too bad I cant go elsewhere
Place is crowded with boxes every time Ive been here. Lines way to long, cashiers can be VERY rude. Yet I keep coming in at least once a week.
You would think that more items would be a dollar in dollar general but its definitely just the name...... they should at least have a a complete 2-3 aisles of items for $1 instead of a small shelf
Some days there are long wait lines because one cashier is open. The store I go to in The Bronx looks messy with some shelves barely stocked, especially in the candy section.
The manager there its rude Ivana? shes not professional at all she gets paid for doing nothing she has a nasty attitude its looks like shes in a relationship with the general manager and she thinks she can get away with bad behavior in the jobsite with the customer, worst experience ever I wont recommend and people if you dont want to wait a long line for more than 30 min!!! with rude employees and ghetto managers dont go there avoid the dramA dont waiste your time or money by the 0 stars
This location is grossly mismanaged. I had the pleasure on one occasion of hearing a lady speak vulgarity all through my shopping trip. Ready for the knee-slapper? When I asked to speak with a manager to make a complaint, I was informed that the lady with the egregious language, was the manager!!! I cant make this stuff up!!
Needs way more staff the clean up is horrible. Honestly they let the neighborhood get the best of them. When they first opened it was a pleasant place to shop. Now well they should be call garbage general.
Ive been shopping at this location since it open, but the employees are rude dismissive they closed this location and reopen with a new name. I went to buy my dog food they have great deals ,but the cashier was on her cell phone even though they were 8 customers in front of me she stood on the phone having conversation while ringing up customers even though the store with semi full
Shelves are a mess, products are on the floor, and some of the staff are always angry, impolite, and rude to the costumers. Communication level is terrible.
Needed to be sorted and cleaned. Thats not to say it wasnt getting done its just so much needed to be done. The employees were curtious and respectful and helpful.
You can find every day staples at good prices. This has become our go-to store. On a tight budget? Go to DG.
It was not pleasant at all the young lady there was so angry at what i dont know but we got into the store and greeted her with a good morning she never answered she turned her back we then wanted to get information on the coffee makers and she was reluctant to answer us her face all screwed up we left and went to dollar tree and while there we were hearing the angry sighs and gestures like she didnt want to be there. So to the management PLEASE employ people who wants to work and have csr training. Never coming bck there
I have to say the store was much neater very clean shelves more loaded,only my car good 12 for 6 friskie out of stock,must have a different management then a couple weeks ago

If you see this store run! Customer service is horrible and the merchandise was all over the floor. They are over priced and the quality of merchandise is not good. Stick with Target! Family Dollar was good.
Nice and inexpensive store. The only problem is that there are a lot of products in the floor and scattered around and not in the shelves. Other than that great dollar store.
Too little staff. Storr was a mess. When I walked in smelled like spoiled milk. I give it a 4 because of the cashier I had she was a beautiful soul.
Not everything here cost $1 there are plenty of items that cost more however the prices are definitely lower can you will find in other stores. Other than that they need more cashiers.

Customer Service is a ZERO!!! Manager (female) always has an attitude and doesnt know where anything is at.... Isle are never stocked and everything is out of place with no price tag.... NO NO NO.... Dont EVER EVER go to this spot.
Prices up after 11am and the cheese on my grilled cheese tasted like it was exposed to the coldness of the fridge so it tasted like it. Very unpleasant 😝
Store has pretty much all you need for your everyday life. For a dollar store, not many products priced at $1 or less.
Everything a dollar and the staff at this dollar tree in gun hill are great. They just need to correct the rat problem. Thats a must!

2022-03-19This store has good products at very great prices so that is a huge plus. The minus is the very messy shelves (and sometimes dirty) and some workers tend to be very rude. I won’t say all of them because a lot of them work very professionally and kind but not all of them.

2019-05-17Ive been to this location a couple times already and its pretty much the same experience with every visit so far. The place is of a decent size with plenty of aisles but overall its messy, disorganized, and some sections seemed to be understocked. However Dollar General has alot more great items than Dollar Tree or Family Dollar but why is it that these discount stores are poorly maintained and managed? Theres staff members wondering around seeming like theyre arent doing much, and merchandise palletes out of on the floor. When it was time to check out the line was long with only one register person... another staff member arrives to help and opened another register but then they begun speaking amongs themselves about their peraonal lives, slowing things up due to distraction. Theres no bathrooms, Parking Lot, or Security on site. They gotta step it up at this location.

2021-01-13Always a long line in the store no matter what time you go. I must admit though the wait time in the lines have improved. The location has a selection on a variety of items.

2022-03-11Decent prices it has everything I need unless its out if stock waiting on line is kinda crazy especially if I have my 2 kids with me I bring my own bags so I dont have to use theirs overall my experience with this dollar general location has been good cant complain especially nowadays with prices so high this store is a money saver 👍💯

2021-05-24So I always shop at this location and spend a lot of money.. Why when i was purchasing my item the cashier informed me after everything was rang up that they dont have bags . They only have bags with no handles. They also informed me that they dont have any paper to wrap the glass items. So my question was how am I supposed to carry my things when I just left work and had a bag already.. BAGS WITH NO HANDLES.. NO NEWSPAPER TO WRAP GLASS ITEMS?... WELL THIS WAS A FAVORITE STORE.. NOT NOMORE...All that money this store make and cant afford bags..SAD JUST SAD

2020-11-24Associates are kind and helpful.. can find most product in stock..Owners please renovate this store. It is always busy when I go at different times of day but the building is in very bad shape. The leaks that shut it down for business need to be fixed. It cannot be good for those working or shopping there and needs a long term fix.

2019-09-25Go to this store about four to five times a month and always the same scenerio, you have these big metal carts and pallets full of merchandise on floor blocking the aisles that you are unable to get through with your shopping cart, so you leave your cart there just to get through the mess to get where you think your item should be but its not on shelf because its still either in the big metal cart or on pallet thats blocking the aisle still shrink wrapped. I do not ever see anyone working the floor.Its sad because i like shopping at dollar general, decent product good prices.But this store especially needs someone who knows how to manage the store and staff.Now let me talk about customer service.Its sad that a few bad apples gives the rest of the team a bad reputation.I asked the young lady if she would know where i can find a certain item and she right away said no. I asked the other cashier who was finishing his shift and he kindly went to get the item i asked for, and when he went to get it, it was right behind the cashier i originally asked first. She is what you call a big time worthless slacker. And as for the store manager Ricardo what a loser!I love shopping at dollar general, decent product and good pricing.But this stores is beyond help, it needs a miracle.Get a real manager and mature grown ups to work here.

2020-09-12Its the PERFECT store if you are the budget conscious. Get for those on a Family Budget Too! A little can go along in that store. 2 for 5 box cereal or 2 for 6 for those who have there favorite brand. Some items are a Dollar Great Prices All Around.
