Dollar Tree in other cities:
Have liked this store for years, but lately it has gone down hill. Went there the other day and I was going to purchase a few items but when I got on line I noticed 26 people on line and only 1 cash register open. We put the items ack we were going to purchase after going to ask the manager if she would open more registers. But apparently she was to busy talking to friends on her cell phone to do anything but stand there. She just stood there ignoring her duties and just chatting on her phone. Store is in horrible shape now, not like it used to be. Have noticed this store getting worse and dirtier than I have ever seen it and its a shame because we enjoyed going here once or twice a week for years. Lately we have only went here about once a month and half the time we walk out due to the way the store is now run. I have never seen a dollar tree store in such disarray and poorly run. Doubt we will return to this dollar tree again unless they get things running properly. Sad because we used to like this store. Would recomend going to another dollar tree if you can as this one is now a horror show
If I could make this zero stars I would I walked in tonight with my girlfriend 10 mins before close just to pick up 2 religious candles for my mother and upon walking in was told by what I believe was the manager saying were closed to which my gf replied its still another 10 mins to close and the manager replies you guys are really going to be able to shop and check out in less than 10 mins before we close? And we said yeah to which the manager replies okay go and doesnt even direct us to where the candles are at. Once we got what we came for to check out the employee was completely turned around talking to another co-worker and the manger had to tell her to turn around and ring us up twice before she proceeded to turn around Huff and puff and begin ringing us up and after ringing us up then rudely puts the candles down to which one fell down and could of cracked but didnt. I swear never shopping in this store again its dirty, the store is always a mess and not taking care of employees dont care about the customers honestly, even if its for a quick stop just to pick up something would not recommend better off shopping elsewhere
There was only 2 registers open and one extremely long line. The manager finally came over and said that she needs us to move into two lines after she finally opened up the second register. It is very unorganized at this location. I try my best to avoid this location but I had to get a few things.
1 line for 20 people with some real angry lady stocking the shelfs wanted to fight over her knocking into me like I had some nerve standing in line getting in her way really aggressive couldnt believe how fast the Gangsta of this old lady came out . Save a dollar but wait in line for a hour and hope you dont get jacked by grandma. No thank you
Dollar tree has literally everything you need and a lot of rare/unique finds too. Especially during the pandemic you can find cleaning supplies thats sold out elsewhere. They even have food too. Its like a supermarket but everything is a dollar. Sometimes the lines can be long, and there arent a ton of carts/baskets, but overall still a great shopping experience for the value alone.
This place is HUGE. I appreciate the fact that there are so many items to choose from. Kitchen items, have it. Cleaning supplies, have it. Birtbday cards, have it. Anything you could want really. I would just suggest coming here when they first open or you will find yourself waiting in a crazy long line with only 1 employee handling the register
One male worker is very rude! He refused to bag your items and tells the customers to place their basket back to the front of the store. Some of the people are elderly and it is an exhausting task for them. When I asked to speak to a manager, the manager stated that he is not supposed to bag your items due to COVID. I stated to the manager if that is the case, why can he touch and scan the items but not bag them. She then placed my items in a bag and told me to have a good day.
I usually love this dollar tree but lately the lines are so long and theyve seemingly stopped stocking some of their best items which makes me sad. They used to make sure to place crumpled up paper in between the glass items and carefully bag them but today neither of those things were done causing the glass jars I bought to shatter. Im disappointed.
I just have to say it. I come to dollar tree nearly every week before work and I always meet the same lovely girl in the morning. I learned her name is shavon and she is so polite and fast I never have to wait in her line more than 5 minutes even if there’s 4 people in front of me. She is super nice she has beautiful locs and if your in her line your gonna get out of the store faster than usual.
Today at Dollar Tree was not a pleasant experience. This older black woman who is employed there kept intentionally bumping into me.When I stepped aside to make sure I wasnt in her way, she purposely came my way, and knocked into me.I was thinking, what an unhappy person to act in this manner. The fault is hers, not mine.I work in the same capacity and Im a manager. My company has the attitude that we treat ALL OUR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT.We are not petty.I dont care for this store, the employees are quite rude. The only reason it received one star is because the store is not a disgusting mess.
One star today=gracious. Around 7pm, only ONE cashier open. The one line extend to the BACK OF THE STORE! Talk was that a new manager was on board. It was most obvious she dies not know retail. Had staff in her office. Great customer service to staffer Veronica. She truly attempted to assist although being demanded to go to the managers office. Critical thinking skills and retail leadership needed. NOT EVER RETURNING!
If I can give this place 0 stars just know it’s realI went to dollar tree about a week ago and the lines were super long. They only had 2 registers open at the moment and I went up and I had ask a girl with red hair why they only have 2 lines open and she said they will open another soon.A girl with deadlocs (UNPROFESSIONAL) opened a line and i went on her line because I saw her open she said that I can’t cut all of these people and I need to go to the backI said I’m not doing that and she said well I’m not serving you. I asked for a manager and no one came out. This place Need to shut down. And that girl needs to be fired
Rude and very umpleasent feeling . And the sign for one line only is very small to see , me and my husband almost got chewed out by other customers that are probably regulars. As first time shoppers for this area there needs to be a bigger sign to read that says one line.
I understand that the pandemic has cost businesses alot of strife across the globe, but this particular dollar tree has been selling tons of expired items snacks, breads, sodas, canned goods and even milk for way too long! Some of these items have been expired for close to a month.. Anyone trying to buy alittle food for the house is taking a chance of getting sick..im tired of talking to store managers and nothing being done. Just because things cost a dollar doesnt mean you can take advantage of us and get away with it
If I could give this store a zero I would. Ive never written a bad review but this store is the worst. Always a mess and things out of place. The store just looks dirty! I like the products and the low cost but this location sucks. The cashiers are nice but their management is horrible. In order to be in and out of the store you have to show up as soon as they open. The manager just opened up another line without notifying the 18 or so people that were waiting. It never fails, in the afternoon if the store is crowded they WILL NOT open another register. Do better! And pay your heat bill, why is it always so cold?!?!?!?!?!
Staff is incredibly rude and not helpful. I had a very nasty cashier. I said hello to her she literally scoffed at me and rolled her eyes. I couldnt believe it. So just to make sure I wasnt imagining things, I said Hi, I said hello to you. Her response was I said hi back. Maybe I didnt hear her through the heavy exhale and eye rolling. After my transaction, I called the manager, Adrienne, who was almost just as nasty and careless as the cashier. I hate going in to Dollar Tree because their service always sucks. But to be down right disrespected for no reason is just unacceptable. I will be escalating to corporate because I am sick of Dollar Tree employees treating people like crap.
This Dollar Tree is a mess. Stuff is all over the floor at all times. And, it’s really not the store’s fault. It’s the lunatic customers. The only time I’ve ever been in this Dollar Tree and actually found what I needed was early on a Sunday morning. I’ve had a cashier actually yell at me in this store for asking her to put my stuff in a reusable/recycling tote bag. This place needs A LOT of improvement. It’s a total mess.
Horrible experience. If I could give no stars, I would. I love dollar tree but this one has horrible workers. STAY AWAY!! We got yelled at by a cashier (tall, white, young, gray haired lady) for asking a question and management did nothing but tell us “that’s all we got”. Definitely never going back.
Always a crazy line have it 2 stars because within the last month my checkout wait went from 10 minutes to 5 . Not soo bad but when your looking for a in and out in a store with 8 lanes its upsetting when less than half of them are open. But great variety and friendly environment
I went in on November 2nd.. 3 registers were open, and each line was almost to the back of the store.. Besides them being super understaffed I waited on a line for 15 mins and by the time i made it toward the front of the store the cashier pointed to the lady in front of me and said that me & every one after me had to get on to one of the other 2 lines.. It was me and two other people.. So instead of pointing to the last person that was on the line and asking them to tell everyone else she was closing, the girl pointed to the lady in front of me. I put down everything and left the store. I will NEVER be going back to this dollar tree.
My first time in the store last night Im working here out of town had to GPS a close dollar store to get a couple of items lip literally. I was probably in there all of 10 minutes before they close which I was aware of because I get off late here.I was in an aisle, and this man who ended up being the manager in his loudest voice, hollars out to me and says maam Im closing the doors the store is closed my registers are closing?Im thinking to myself really?? first of all I only came in there to get literally one or two things but ended up having about four items duplicates of the items that I picked up.But nonetheless this gentleman or man should I say he was far from a gentleman .He was extremely rude. I understand that the store was about to close , but I didnt have a hand basket or a regular kart, so that should have told him, Im not in there to shop until I drop.(lol)Im also someone who works in retail ,but I also work with customers each and every day and would never speak to a customer that way.So I walk towards the front because he said to me watch Im closing these registers.. really sir??Just carrying one the rudest employees ever , and confrontational. Now I shop at Dollar Tree at home all the time. I have never been treated in such a rude way. One of the employees said to me maam I apologize but he is a little rude. I stated in agreement he is a lot rude !There were even some customers one gentleman and another lady who had tapped in on the conversation as well stating that he could have handled it a little bit better and I agreed. So he ended up being the manager his name was Tony because I did ask what his name and he proudly gave me his name and made a comment that he was ready to go home .Im thinking nobody understands that more than me because I work 12 hours a day and had work 12 hours on last night so I totally understand wanting to go home. But talking to people in a very rude tone, is unnecessary to me.Not to mention this is the dirtiest Dollar Tree that have ever been in.So sir , you may want to use more productive time cleaning up your store and the presentation of it as opposed to fussing with customers about your store closing .Just my personal opinion you would not have to worry about me doing any shopping in there for the duration of my visit. And dealing with the ol so rude of an example Tony thats supposed to be a store manager! Of all the nerve! Smh
2 employees that was rude to customers and have no respect for people. The 2 white women need to be fired from this company. The company needs to put the tall slim white man. He is good and will help solve the problem. Some people are not manager material. The 2 women need to go. They are not good for the company. And the store is a mess all the time when white chick manager is there .
As soon as you walk in, theres dirty floors and litter! Then you go to look for items and the shelves are not stocked. Is it lazy workers not stocking shelves or managements lousy ordering of items? The shelves are messy. And, theres usually one or two registers open, making for a long line. Ive made a u-turn several times out of that store. Come on!So i have to travel from Freeport to Carle Place, ridiculous! I literally hate the Baldwin, Grand Avenue location! Theyre an embarrassment to the community!
It is one of the bigger dollar tree stores that Ive been to so far. The place is chaos though. Inventory days are tuesday so best time to shop is tuesday night and early wednesday mornings to get the best picks. Days past that, the shelves are limited or empty for the things worth while. Lines can get long, way too long at times. Carts are for instore use, so be aware you will have to hand carry your bags at the exit.Handicap accessibility is good. Handicap parking is located on the side of the store, and a spot down near the variety store.
I have been to Dollar trees throughout Long Island and in various states and this is the worst one I have seen. Ive walked out 2 times in the last 2 days. The lines are always long & the store looks rundown. Go to other stores locally and you will see a big difference.
This store is a mess...they need more staff members with a lot less attitude I litterally avoid this place like the plague unless I absolutely have to come here for something.... i asked for something that they had in boxes waiting to put in the shelves the woman insisted I could not purchase it because she was putting it on the shelf ummm in 5 minutes it will be stocked I I litterally had to wait until she placed the glass on the shelf NEVER AGAIN!!!
I like shopping at the Baldwin Dollar Tree because of the large verity of goods. They always try filling the shelves if they are not on the register. Sometimes like most store have long lines on the weekends. The weekday is better to go. I do hope they hire more employees for the holidays. The location is great with plenty of parking. The only thing is the shopping carts can not leave the store so prepare to make trips in and out of the store with your bags. They should at least have it that one could go outside to unload the cart into your vehicle.
Lines are always long and only two to three cashiers to ring you up. Most of the cashiers seem to hate their job and are not friendly. The store is always out of order and messy. Only plus for me is that it is across the street from my home & always has the things I need.
Dollar Tree is Dollar Tree you can get a million things there but the quality is perhaps not the best however the Saturday two weeks before Christmas should have more than three cashiers on when the manager was contacted and we said it is a 45 minute wait on each register she said only the weekend manager and three people didnt come in I cant deal with registers finally somebody else was found amongst the six people stalking and just walking around the store as she noticed several peeping people leaving full carts in the aisles and walking out if you need decorations if you need things for a party etcetera and its holiday season shop early

2022-04-02An excellent place to buy several things despite the fact that the price went to 1.25 it is always a very good place to buy... something that has not so good is that you always have to make a huge line to pay, that is, if you go for 2 or 3 things, I dont recommend that you go...?

2022-07-01Would be 5 stars but absolutely no help on the floor. Just cashiers. Nice selection of items I was looking for. I have been buying their solar stake lights for years and the $1.25 price per light is an excellent value. Pinwheel flowers were also a bargain. Update 7-1-22. As always found what I was looking for and ended up with a few things I wasnt looking for but the bargains was hard to pass up.

2022-06-12You can find a variety of products. I love the craft products and the decoration items, they are inexpensive and some of them very cute. I think it needs more organization, on the other hand, the workers are kind and helpful.

2021-02-21Stopped by for some candy for the kids. The store seems to have more space when you walk in, they removed another of clutter.. The lines were a bit long, but you gotta take the good with the bad. I will be stopping by again. The cashier was very nice and friendly.

2022-04-06Got there at 9:48pm. A woman with no mask covering her mouth ran to the door, blocking me saying the store is closed. I said its not 10pm. She nastily said the store is closed. I reiterated that it was not 10pm. She said the store is closed and the registers are closed. Another person walked up and she was just as nasty. Claimed her name was Genevieve. Its bad enough you have to deal with bad customer service, atleast stay open when youre supposed to.

2022-04-21The cashiers are the SLOWEST people Ive ever seen working in a store like this in my life. Be prepared to wait 25-35 mins or longer in the LONG lines. Absolutely ridiculous

2022-03-25The selection has increased tremendously and it justifies the price hike. However, it gets one start because the line is always down the aisle and only one cashier there.

2021-12-08Love the inventory here ... One of the best stocked DTs in this area ... The workers do their best to keep the lines moving ... But the lack of staffing could be to blame ... It is definitely not the store you run in and out of quickly ... Practicing patience always helps ... Happy healthy holidays
