Dollar Tree in other cities:
I am always satisfied with each visit to this store ! I always find quality items and everything is so affordable! I even find name brand items for instance two Kiss nail polishes I bought just this afternoon. And the seasonal decorations are always so unique and cute! Its a one stop shop for almost all your needs! I love visiting I could spend a day just going through each aisle lol. And the staff are so nice and honest - i left a bag accidentally and they saved it and when I came in they remembered me and returned my bag! I recommend this store 100% The pic below is my mani pedi using the 2 Kiss brand polishes I purchased today! Lol And the second pic is two packages I wrapped using wrapping paper from this storecand ribbon (and scotch tape!)!
Love the selection. Variety, and going earlier than later. Even 3pm, on a bus is late-especially on a Friday-any Friday! The beauty is theres a bus stop directly in front of the store so you dont have far to drag your body on your return trip home.BRING YOUR OWN SHOPPING BAG! Or else pay for theirs. I bring a backpack and a large, shopping bag.
This store is tops in its class in NYC. Shoppers on a tight budget and bargain hunters will consider Dollar Tree a retail paradise, but with some hellish elements. If youre big on brand name candy, cookies, snack foods and sugary beverages, youll be delighted by their vast selection of fresh snack foods and flavored drinks at unbeatable prices. In the categories of personal hygiene products and school/office supplies, youll find an ample supply, but at the quality is mediocre to low. Kitchen items are plentiful and generally of decent quality. Things get dicey in the frozen foods section. Shoppers must be vigilant because foods that thawed and then refroze are not uncommon. The overall shopping experience can be brutal. Massive crowds, floors strewn with fallen products and agonizing checkout waits are typical. This is a classic case of you get what you pay for.
The manager is disgustingly rude. At 8:50 I was the last one in the store and she was yelling at me to leave and the store closes at 9pm how is it possible? Being polite is part of good work ethics they need to learn to confront customers better or they are giving a bad name to the franchise.
There are employees that block the aisle big boxes that take up space it seem like you cant even fit the shopping cart thru the aisle and Im a small woman at that everybody in the way its uncomfortable to stop there. The good thing I can say is at least everything is a dollarAlso since I look African American they assume I dont understand Spanish I over heard 2 employees talking about me the lady told the other employee to follow me to make sure I dont steal.
This store is always messy and it’s hard to navigate because they are trying to put out stock while customers are shopping. Giant boxes block the lanes and it’s already crowded with customers. The staff does the best they can but the customer to employee ratio is ridiculous. The lines go all the way to the back of the store (which also makes it difficult to shop.
I love this Dollar Tree! It has practical items for such an affordable price i wonder why people spend money in other retail establishments? They have their own brands of certain items so you can always rely on stocking up on the same thing. I have been to another Dollar Tree that doesn’t nearly have as many items. I dare anyone to go into the store and not find at least ten items for purchase! Thank you for helping my budget and making me feel that I can splurge every now and again!
I appreciate a place close by with a wide variety of cheap items. For that reason alone they get more than one star.Too often there are at least half a dozen employees on the floor in the beginning of the day and only two of a total four cash registers in operation. This is true even as the line of customers waiting to pay spans the entire length of the store back to front. It is incomprehensible to me that another cash register could not be put into operation, or that there was not an employee capable of operating one available.I walked out today without making a fairly large purchase for a second time in about 4 weeks.Put some of the employees on temporary check out duty while its busy! Move more and make more money ultimately.
This is the worst Dollar Tree I ever visited. Employees act as if you are bothering them by asking a question. The place is a total mess. You cant even get in some aisles because they have hand carts all over. Did they ever hear of overnight or stocking before the store opens? This visit was a waste of my time as I walked out with nothing. They dont even deserve the 1 star but I had to give it something....
This is one of the best Dollar Trees in Upper Manhattan or in Manhattan at all. The manager is very attentive and always ready to help or answer any questions. Most of the staff are fairly helpful. Unfortunately I took off one star because some of the staff tend to be a bit lazy when the manager is not around and the store looks a mess when he is not there. Other than that the management always keeps the store well-stocked even when its far from their restock days. The food section is always well stocked as well as the Cosmetic section which are the two main sections I go to. I also like that their seasonal items are well organized as well as their party section. They are Leaps and Bounds above other Dollar Tree locations in Manhattan that I have been to.
I normally don’t have an issue with this place. Despite the number of people that be going espically with this Covid-19 situation, they still keep it going, but lately they’re closing at the time they feel like it! It clearly says and states 6:00pm! So why close at 5:20-5:30pm?! They leave people waiting outside with out explaining the reason why they’re closing earlier! No signs or anything ! Disgusting service!
Place is usually a mess but not the staffs fault. Shoppers are disrespectful and trash the place. It’s the dollar tree so not sure what else I should expect. Usually find what I’m looking for a more. Love buying candles here. Nice selection of wine glasses also. Great seasonal decorations. Can’t beat the price for Manhattan.
This dollar store is incredible. Folks will complain about the lines, but the fact is, we wouldnt paying $1 for things like a 28 oz can of diced tomatoes, sunscreen, ibuprofen, eggs (sometimes they even have 18 ct boxes), bacon, 100% whole grain bread, the list goes on. Very good store in a city where people deserve a break from being gouged. Go, wait in line, and see how much money you have left in your pocket at the end of the month.
This dollar tree is so messy its like hurricane hit inside that store. Managers are extremely rude as hell not only to customers but to the employees, they love to humiliate their employees in front of the customers the times i be going there is something going on plus customers complaining not only about the line but also how these two managers handle things and speak to customers and employees, its sad! The only reason i was going to this dollar tree because there was a young lady by the name Jessica she very sweet and very helpful and she kept the lines going and the store too,i wish she was the manager. Managers like this young lady is always nice to have who treat customers with respect and good greetings and a nice smile but i went today to give her a gift and one the cashier told me that shes no longer there and i wonder why. if i was the headquarters of dollar tree ill be more in the look out because lately some dollar tree be looking nasty and so unorganized bad look for these stores.
Would give -5 stars if possible. Absolutely the worst store I’ve ever been in. It’s a mess, no staff to be found, and if you can find someone, they’re extremely rude. Looking for plates and supplies for a party during graduation week/season (they’re only 20 blocks from a college campus) and all the carts from a shipment are blocking the ENTIRE ISLE. They didn’t spread them out so you could at least walk down and reach around things. When I asked a staff member if it was possible to move them or help me he said “no it’s closed” before I even finished my sentence. No ”sorry”, nothing. Just “it’s closed.” He didn’t even stop walking to actually engage with me. And if that wasn’t enough, the locked one of the doors a full 2 hours before the store closed, making it seem like I couldn’t get out. NEVER returning to this store.
Feels like a mom and pop shop. Very little staff during shifts, so you can be at checkout for a while. Always a mess there because people dont know how to shop respectively, and because there are small amount of staff, theres no one to reshelve. When I was there, I saw a bag of pretzels all over the floor (seriously, how do people shop?) And I saw the manager sweeping the place. I feel bad because a manager shouldnt be the one sweeping. However, I do enjoy how EVERYTHING IS ONE DOLLAR. I got my tempered glass for my phone there when another place sells the SAME item, probably repackaged for $20+ dollars and you know its a scam. One cashier say Apple pay works but my phone doesnt react to the terminal, so I dont think it has that feature. Shop here first before going to a grocery store or pharmacy. Youll definitely save a couple dollars. Loaf of bread is one dollar. A pack of buns is one dollar. And so on, and so forth.
Its very convenient store, everything is ONLY $1. I wonder why nobody knows about this. I have been telling people and advertising them because I know that things that they bought from other store are triple time the price than in Dollar Tree. I even bought a lot of things and supply the store that I work for.I love this place and I can find many choices. Thanks Dollar Tree
I love the Dollar Tree, the reason for the low rating, is this particular location is horrible! The l reason for the 2 stars is the constant long lines. The houseware section is always unavailable because there are boxes piled high in front of it. During my last two visits the floor has been flooded with soggy cardboard soaking in the puddles.
On the 19th of July went in to shop a little but there were not carts, so i saw one with some things in it so i took it out. The manager on this day was the one using it bit i didnt know. She carried on so poorly as a manager the only reason i didnt slap her cause i was with my mom. Time to check out and near the registers was about 4 to 5 carts with im assuming returned items. Empty them out for customers si they can spend the money
I went here on a Monday morning around 9am. Come in the morning when the shelves are more organized, and the store is calm and quiet. They have a huge selection of cards at really good prices. All cards are $1 or 2 for $1. For all occasions, including birthdays, thank you’s, congratulations, anniversaries, etc. They have a decent assortment of food. Lots of candy. Snacks like Chex Mix, Snyder’s pretzels, and Pringles chips. Cake mixes, icing, sprinkles, spices, dried fruit, generic pop tarts, and lots of other stuff. They also have a large freezer/fridge section of food with microwavable dinners, Italian ice, generic ice cream, bologna, cheese, and yogurt. When you’re not looking for something super specific, or when you’re looking for snacks for a party (either hosting, or attending), come here. All snacks are $1, so you can get a big variety for your party!
I went there at 9:25 pm because their hours online say they close at 10pm. I needed some arts and crafts materials for a project. I knocked on the door, since it was locked, and asked through the glass if they were open and the employee she shrugged. Then I told her it says open till ten and she just turned around and ignored me. Horrible staff. I have shopped here before and have never been treated this way. The personnel need an attitude check, the aisles need to be organized and if the candy is open or expired it should not be on the shelves. Very upset.
As a person who works there, I would say that the store and staff are amazing. If you put lesss then 4, complaining that “ oh it’s messy, the lines are too big, open candy and food in different places” remember it’s not the staff, it’s people who shop there! Staff has to clean after you and especially your kids! It’s not like we put open candy there on purpose! You have no idea what we find there! And when we see that we put it where it belongs. Yes the lines are long, but Bc that is a good business and a lot of people shop there . We are not robots to work quickest, like you want us too. So over all I love the store and my job. And before you say something bad, put your self in other person position . Peace
This place is disgusting! I love dollar tree stores anywhere else but here! They have boxes all over the isles it’s impossible to find anything! Very disorganized and messy. It’s too bad because of them, all other dollar stores on that block, closed down. It doesn’t look like they have any managers or management at all!!
The only reason I go in here is becuz the prices are low. This store is always a mess, they says its becuz of the customers, no it not, it management and staff. I have worked in retail everywhere u go customers leave a mess. The problem is they leave the mess there. U need to have staff work the lanes and do pick up thoughout their shifts. The lines are also always long becuz they would only have 2 registers open. They are understaff. Every single time I go in there, there r boxes and uboats in one of the lanes. I had to ask one of the employees if she can move it once she was finshed ringing up since there was no one on the floor.
Great store has everything and more at Rock bottom prices.Highly recommend this place 🤗Arts and crafts, floral, health and beauty aids, food, cleaning supplies, electrical, painting accessories etc. Im always surprised when I walk through the door and I never break the bank 🤑
I was hoping a dollar tree type store would pop up around these parts. So convenient. Almost always carry the products I need. Definitely save a lot more than going to a 99¢store (which nothing ever is 99¢). 4 stars for now. Needs newer products so I can spend more money.
So the reason I give a 2 star rating is because there is poor security, also there would be 1 cashier open most of the time. In the candy section, there is a few of the candy open or being eaten. I see people shoplifting. Before Halloween I decided to buy a pack of candy( Smarties) for the childerns.Once i got home, i open the bag and see a broken roll of smarties and it got me thinking there something probably not right with the candy. I count the number of candy containing in 1 roll and realize there 15 in one roll while the others were down to 13 or 12. I feel like someone tamper with the bag of candy and try to sell the bag of smarties no matter what the condition is.
I went there the other day and wad not even in the door when I was approached by a tall black guy stating I could not park my bike by the door...then he threatened me and tried to intimidate me...I will never go there again! Not because of brining afraid....but what I would do to him!!!
The manager I think his name is Abu is so rude,my son was sitting on the floor just for 2 minutes and he started YELLING at me,telling me to move my son,I told him to wait, because we were leaving and I was waiting for my wife, then he started SCREAMING SAYING this is my storeHE HAS A REALLY BIG MOUTH,HE HAS NO RIGHT TO TALK TO CUSTOMERS LIKE THAT!!

2022-05-01The deals are great overall for the price. They have some items they used to have not available. The big problem was cashier who took care of me. I paid $76.16 & told him I had a big bag with me and think I will probably need 1 more. I didnt the bag where he would usually bag as I was emptying my cart. I started bagging because he did not. He started helping next person after I paid and was still bagging. He gave me other bag and started bagging for next person. Not cool and we are all stressed with things. Courtesy and acknowledging I am theirbwould be nice prices have gone up but are still great.

2021-06-25They have always long lines at the cashiers. Customers buy lots products at a time. Variety of stuff (everything is $1). It is fun to visit here. One thing I want to warn you is some customers have no morals. I saw a lady opening a lid of powder cheese and ripping the wrap and taking out some on her hand in order to taste it.Make sure if it is never opened before you buy it.

2017-12-26Absolutely love this place. Especially the bread section. People cant really blame staff for the mess that happens its all the customers that dont have respect for others making that mess and letting their children run wild. The lines are long because its a good business if you dont want to wait simply dont shop there, the cashiers do their best. They have almost everything you need for everyday use. Just wished people could have more respect for the place and staff.

2021-01-19The lines can be long at times, but they always try their very best to be on point , i always go there for all my needs, like art supplies, diy things, cleaning supplies, toilet paper to things like kitchen items to holiday decóre. The two manager ladies have always been respectful and reliable. I even happen to work here years ago when this Dollar Tree was Deals. So i know and see the changes, yes they may have there bad days where they have to keep up with, but overall they keep things in tact. I know the lines could be long, but i will wait on the long line to get my dollar tree items, because it so worth the wait.

2022-05-29I went to the Dollar Tree at 4469 Broadway and I was shocked that when i asked the manager to please double my bag of purchases,he rudely just put them in one bag and kind of tossed a 2nd bag to me and i had to double the bag myself. What terrible customer service by the manager working on 5/28/2022.

2022-01-15Great place to pick up essential items for $1.25. Also, they have amazing greeting cards at a low price of 2 for $1 and the store always carries a large selection of holiday paraphernalia.

2022-07-08I am really surprised to see so many things for only $ 1.25. From things for the kitchen, bathrooms, school, projects and especially food.Things that other places have paid more than $ 5 dls and seeing them here so cheap is a real relief.I hope to see more DOLLAR TREE closer to my house. You should go through one of them and take advantage of a little. I bet you from there with more than 5 products.
