Very good korean restaurant. We got an order for 2 of meat and seafood and that was a lot of food. Japchae was delicious. Kimchee was still crunchy. The best part is you dont leave the place smelling liked grilled beef. They really have an efficient exhaust. Lychee soju was refreshing.
Went to Dons Bogam on Sunday with my family and we had a tremendous experience. The restaurant is immaculate, and the service and food was excellwnt! It was only our 2nd time enjoying Korean BBQ so we needed some assistance on what to order and how to eat the items with all of the sides and our server was extremely helpful. You definitely wont be disappointed!
Definitely top 5 Korean BBQ in NYC Ktown; made phone reservation with Yooha, who went above & beyond to help me find photo on Google maps of the exact pair of tables I needed together for party of 12 from out of town (thank you so much!); excellent quality premium short ribs both marinated & non-marinated; fresh 반찬 (side dishes); expert grill service, efficient/professional staff, welcoming host/hostess, modern atmosphere, upbeat vibe, not cramped seating/tables, good variety in menu; support your local restaurants & small businesses 👍
UPDATE: delicious and great service.Best and most reliable KBBQ place I go to in the NYC area. Have a friend that wants to eat KBBQ? This is the place to go. Have a sudden craving for KBBQ? This is the place to go. Their upper level seating is a major part of why I enjoy my many experiences there with my friends and families. Their menu is extensive and the combos are the best way to avoid taking too long to make a decision. Their seafood scallion pancakes are a must. Definitely order the cold noodles and the chicken with ginseng soup.
We celebrated my cousins birthday here and it was delicious! The seating was different, you have to step down into your seat, not really easy to get out of especially with larger groups. We ordered a variety of things and cooked them to our own liking at the table. My family is a bunch of meat lovers so this was just the place for us. I wouldnt normally going to a place and then cooking my own food, but with a bunch of people to talk to while its sizzling to your level of perfection makes the experience worth it. The staff was friendly and attentive which was nice.
This is a good korean bbq spot. I went with a group of friends so we had the fortune of trying a variety of meats. The meat, itself, was good. I had very few complaints about the food while I dined there. The only reason that I would give this a 4/5 is the price. For what youre getting and the quality of the meat, I think the experience is overpriced. I went with 5 other guys and our bill ended up being approximately $540 ($90 per person) while just getting the standard priced meats. There are a number of kbbq spots where you can get similar quality of cuts and a much more fun environment for less than half of the price per person. Of course, if youre wanting kbbq for a big event like an anniversary or a promotion, then this is a solid option.
A pretty decent place to eat with friends or colleagues, locating at 32th st near 5th Avenue. The vibes is cozy and the price is reasonable. Have variety of dishes or beefs can be choose. The downsides are the table is not easy to seat in and the food servcing is a bit rush .
Great meal! Took a visiting friend here to experience Korean bbq and they were extremely happy with the choice. The food was delicious, the meats were incredibly tender, juicy and tasty and the quantities were sufficient. They have a very extensive wine selection as well. Getting a reservation was simple. Will definitely be back again!
This place was really good. The food was great- High quality ingredients, well-seasoned, and the staff was very attentive about cooking it to perfection and distributing it around the table. The only thing that could have been a little better was that there wasn’t a lot of variety in the banchan. We did not get into their wine selection and just stuck with beers for the meal, but the cocktails were decent. Will be back the next time we need a Korean BBQ fix!
A Korean B.B.Q meal is always a social evening, sitting around the grill plate, the selection of sauces, salads and the excellent meat make the meal a tasty celebration. In Dons Bogham you may find all those elements that makes the meal a celebration. We really enjoyed the food and service and highly recomended.
Went here for dinner and the food was great! So tasty and perfect for fulfilling your KBBQ craving. We sat in the outdoor area but it was completely enclosed and felt super safe and private. The service was fast and everything tasted great - would definitely recommend!
We had the greatest chef. Was trained in Korea. Talented. Kind. Part of the family that owned many businesses and big private equity investor. Explained crypto plans. Great chef and helped. This place brings great food and great help. Bartender knows martinis. Come to visit
The meat was some of the best I’ve had but for what you’re paying they could afford to go a little heavier on the side dishes and refill the kimchee at least. This was the first kbbq place I’ve ever been to that didn’t do that. The service was really good though and the restaurant is nice!
Have not even started eating yet, but I still want to give this place 5 stars. it is the best restaurant that we have been to in koreatown. other restaurants’ servers seemed unbothered, careless, and rude. yet the servers here are very polite, attentive, and friendly. definitely recommend coming.
We were robbed! Our Bill at this place came to 1300 for 10 people. What we got was low grade unseasoned meats. No chef just waiters turning the meat enough so it wasnt raw. Tiny portions of toppings which were called side dishes ( it was just a bit salt, sauce, kimchi, seaweed, jalepenos, beets etc you could eat each thing in one bite the plates were smaller than teacup saucers) no bartender in the entire place so you could only get beer and personal size bottles of wine and subpar service. It was a friends choice to come here but it will be the last time their recommendation is considered because wth. I felt sick by the time I got home never again.
The food tasted good overall, but dont think it has very good value for your buck. There were only three meats for something along the lines of $100.The seafood pancake was very good though I cannot deny. Dumplings are just okay.If you come here, would recommend you get the meat set and seafood pancake. Beware of your wallet. :)
This is definitely a great place to experience Korean BBQ. The ambiance is lovely and conducive to moderate sized groups. The food quality is great and the service was what you would expect from a trendy more upscaled restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were well balanced.
Like many of the great K-town restaurants, Dons Bogam offers delicious Korean BBQ and fare. Im high a fan of their seafood pancake and pork belly. The banchan (small plates) are constantly refilled by the servers, who by the way provide stellar service throughout your meal. The ambiance is more modern then your standard restaurants in K-town and is a great place if youre introducing Korean food to someone for the first time. Id come back again!
Ive come here twice so far and have yet to be even remotely disappointed - the food is one the freshest and most delicious that Ive had and come across in NYC. As it relates to Korean bbq, this place is a cut above the rest that Ive experienced thus far, albeit somewhat pricey, it is most definitely worth it. The service is prompt and courteous - my cup was never empty. My friends and I ordered: seafood scallion pancakes (pretty standard but tastey), green tea cold noodle soup (something unique, a bit of a chewy consistency but very tasty - definitely worth trying - its a traditional summertime Korean snack, or so Im told), 2 beef bbq platters - 1 was 5 meat variety, and the other was a non marinated prime beef (the meat just melts in your mouth).
A very fine Korean BBQ restaurant. The meat is tender and especially the marinated ones are amazing! The servers know many things and can give you recommendations on which one to get. There are two seating areas for BBQ only and regular korean food. Once the meat comes out, the server will cook them for you and will let you know when it is ready. It is pricey but the quality of food confirms it. By the end of the meal, you will be glad you came to this restaurant!
Nice, upscale korean bbq restaurant. While the food is very good, portions are small considering the prices. Highly recommend the steak tartare with pear, normal naengmyun (not spicy), and the spicy galbi and the pork belly bbq. Service could use some help though - our servers were not very friendly and somewhat brusk.
We were pretty impressed with this place, although on the pricey side (especially for beer, although we are from London so might be out of touch with NY prices). The kimichi pancake was delicious as was the bulgogi and rice cakes. Could has eaten another round of that easily! The beef was all of a good quality too and cooked perfectly on the BBQ. Having been to Seoul this place was a pretty decent version so would recommend!
I did not have their bbq but decided to order other menus. I had their kimchi mandoo jeongol (casserole), ddukbokki, japchae, beers, and makgeolli which were all good. The jeongol broth was a little light and watery at first but got better as we boiled it a little longer; the ddukbokki was great--spicy and sweet; and their japchae was nothing on grandmas but had a large variety of veggies thrown in. All in all, a solid meal was had for a solid price, but nothing stood out as amazing. Id definitely go again for a good-tasting, good-service meal!
Amazing restaurant! My girlfriend and I came here for lunch and were blown away by the quality. The lunch specials came with a stew and we had an appetizer. Was not too expensive and came with so much food! The staff was super friendly and attentive. This is a restaurant you must visit in NYC!
This place is probably the best option for a traditional Korean BBQ dinner in K-Town. The options are fantastic, the cuts are great, and the service is top notch. They went out of their way to create an experience for my wife’s sisters and their partners and to explain the various cuts and how to use the accompaniments. Everyone enjoyed their meal and left very full and satisfied.
Dons Bogam is impressive. The restaurant has a nice modern feel and is quite airy. I made reservations but they also accept walk-ins. The staff was great. The waiter asked if we had any allergies and made expert recommendations on the menu. What really stood out was the rest of the team was also aware of the food allergy and confirmed with us as they served our food. And the food… the kbbq meats were so good and expertly cooked by our waiter. He also was nice and engaging by explaining each cut and how we could enjoy it. I will be coming back often.
Two stars for ...when you are seated at your table you will walk by the bar.the bar wall has a board listing cocktails.if you order one of these cocktails from your table, the bar will not make it. so you cant order it.even tho its an item the establishment is promoting.reason given ... words to the effect of ... those are bar drinks. insert shrug here.apparently i could get up from the table and get the drink myself.but wasnt confident that i could bring it back to the table.so, yes. weird word games.its christmas eve and who wants a scene ... so no moscow mule.so sez dons bogam.four stars for ...food. service. clean bathroom. janky sight lines to kitchen.in toto ... two stars.
I lived in South Korea for a year and have been on the search for authentic Korean bbq since. This place truly delivers! The Gabi short ribs were delectable. The service staff was quick. Especially the bartender, he was quite busy but never too busy not to notice our glass was nearing the end. Great place!
Came here for lunch with coworkers and thought the lunch special was worth it. Service was great but we were also sat near the kitchen.I got the LA Galbi with some kimchi soup on the side. Very generous portions and the japchae was quite good! Good place for a big group! I came here for their dinner menu last time to get kbbq and thought it was okay but would come again for lunch.
Fantastic food, great ambiance and superb service. The wait was a little under 20 minutes during a very busy day and while the wait staff was definitely running around trying to serve everyone I never felt neglected by my waiter. I brought a friend who had never had Korean food and our waiter was super helpful in the food selection process. A long time lover of Korean cuisine I would rate this on the top 3 places I’ve eaten outside Korea. The galbi bibimbap was fresh and well cooked and the cold noodles were well balanced and refreshing. The selection of banchan was a bit surprising as I’m not used to seeing such diversity. Highly recommend this place!
Amazing! The best Korean food Ive had! Love their kimchi, it has perfect taste and just enough sweetness. Their bibimbap was beyond awesome. Even tofu soup that I never eat and only try from others was great here and I liked it a lot. I went there two times in a week and will be definitely coming back. I think they also have lunch specials.
It was my first time trying Korean BBQ and I was quite surprised. The moment we entered Dons bogam we were treated very well by the staff and shown to our tables that was somewhat like eating in a pit but with chairs. Its not too easy to get in and out of. We had our food prepared on the grill that was in front of us which is somewhat hibachi style to give you a comparison. It was definitely very good and we would go back in a heartbeat. Its a bit pricey as we spent about $300 for a family of four. There might be a better way to order your food so that you dont spend that much but I would say that you should be prepared to spend at least $200 in this place for four people.
I really thought this place was going to be amazing never had Korean barbecue before this was going to be my 1st time. There was so much positive feed about this place of the food the set up the way the restaurant is designed the staff so I was expecting an amazing time needless to say it was not. One thing drove me crazy is that me and my fellow date have never add barbecue and at Korean bbq spot. So I asked my waiter can you help us he said absolutely Ill hook you up with a great experience we are feeling totally confident needless to say we had 5 other waiters and waitresses in I never seen the 1st day I was totally disarranged a had no idea how to experience my dinner the correct way. The food was alright of the meat tasted very salty and in this kind of expensive I feel we paid $150 for honestly I have no idea it didnt seem like a lot of food We didnt drink any alcohol so the 150 was Tolly just on food. Honestly I feel that theres other Korean spots within the city limits that you could probably find a better experience at then here I was Super surprised after noticing that on the door they have the michelin star review guide that in a you have to qualify to be inside of their guide in the 1st place but it doesnt seem that its been updated in some time check out other ones before you go here #cheflife
Food is absolutely delicious and authentic Korean. Ive been here for a few times for lunch. The lunch special is fantastic at reasonable price offering a variety of main dishes plus many side dishes and soup. See attached photo of one of my lunches. They have a great collection of wine as well!
How this place appeared on the Michelin star guide is beyond me. Nice atmosphere but food and service was very average. Small pieces of meat and even smaller amounts of mushroom (half of a cap cut in half lol and two very thin stem slices). Table top grill was old and needed cleaning; fire was unevenly cooking. No green tea available. It wasnt terrible but for the price I dont think its worth a second visit.
Our first experience with true Korean BBQ. Food was delicious, served quickly. Additional dishes confused us but asked, they explained and we enjoyed! Marinated short ribs and seafood fried rice were standouts. Service was adequate but couldnt find waitress to get bill and pay.
I came here with my boyfriend last week for my birthday. We didn’t have a reservation, but thankfully we managed to get seated quickly. The food was fresh and well-balanced. I was thrilled with their soju options. I’ll admit, I felt they were a bit pricey. BUT their service makes it worth every penny! Aaron, our server, was so attentive. He provided excellent recommendations and checked in on us frequently to make sure we were happy. His kindness and engaging personality are why we will return with a larger party.
The best place for Korean BBQ!! 😍All the servers are experienced and very knowledgeable regarding suggesting drinks that go with the ordered food. Also love the ambience of the place. The sit down type seating which gives a more communal feel and connects you with your food. Will keep visiting here,!
This place has a unique menu and feel for the neighborhood. The drinks list is solid, and the interior provides spacious options for small to large groups. The outdoor dining offers private rooms for groups. All the classic Korean bbq dishes are here, but with little twists that make them exciting. The quality and freshness is top notch. One star is missing because both the service and the banchan are good, but not stellar. Still, its a solid bet for a pleasurable dining experience.
Really enjoyed my dinner experience here with my husband. We both shared an appetizer and prime ribeye. It was delicious. All of the little side dishes were so fun to try. Had no idea they kept refilling them as you ate them. Our server was very nice and attentive. I liked that we were sat spaced apart. We will definitely return in the future!
Awesome food, with reasonable prices. They are very kid friendly. I needed to use my chopsticks with that piece attached because I cant use em otherwise and my server helped with no problem, actually my 6 year old told him that I needed them, lol, but he was happy to help even when he thought it was for her. The fried shumai was awesome, in English, its shrimp fried dumplings. Im planning on going back very soon and bringing more people with me because good food paired with good company is the best way to dine.
This place is swanky and definitely Michelin material. I stumbled upon this place by accident with no reservation and I have no regrets, sometimes you gotta just wing it. The staff upon entry was super friendly, they gave me a bag for my wet umbrella and sat us down at a booth away from korean bbq side of place ( we honestly came for regular dining). The decor is beautiful, nice wooden furniture with comfortable booths and high ceilings with mirrors on the wall and dim lighting. They definitely take their wine seriously based on seasonal extensive list and wine bottles all around as if you were in a big cellar. The plates are even cast iron bowls so food stays hot and they give chopsticks with fancy individually new wrapped spoons-for rice its brilliant for covid. I was impressed with their sake options too they were definitely new ones I never seen before. You can also opt for beers as I did with sapporo for lunch. I think their menu is extremely authentic between dumplings, shumai, scallion pancakes to cold noodles and various meat over rice dishes. I tried steamed dumplings with pork and vegetables and they came piping hot and you can tell dough was made from scratch, I just felt it couldve used a little more salt but its healthy option. They also brought us pickled vegetables that were complimentary and I fell in love, it really opens up your palette to all these different flavors, loved the greens and kimchee too. Of course I couldnt resist classic bibimbap options, so we tried a pork one with chives and a ground beef option with scallions and kimchee. I feel each dish had perfect ratio of rice to toppings and it was perfect portion, I didn’t feel sluggish after at all. I also liked how food wasnt too oily and more on spicy side( menu shows you which options are spicy anyway). I did feel pork had too much salt though. The waiter himself wore a mask and kept our table clean and water glass full, he was friendly and frequently checked on us. Overall for two beers, appetizer and entrees it cost us almost $80 which isn’t cheap but I can tell you get amazing quality as everything is fresh. I look forward to coming back here to try bbq and alcohol menu! Only thing that holds me back from five stars is they sat us across bathroom stalls which were sectioned off but not ideal. The bathroom has cool dyson and sink handles connected , but the stalls themselves could be cleaner for sure
I came to Dons Bogam on whim one evening and decided to wait because the front of house hostess was so nice so I waited to be seated. I was apprehensive because Ive never had Korean BBQ before and it was for a special occasion, but I went with it and I must say that I am very glad that I did. Our server Aaron was amazing, he was worth the wait. Aarons service along with his co workers was amazing, and proactive. He was personable, considerate and kind, he had great recommendations. We had an wonderful experience at this establishment and will be returning with larger groups. We felt so welcomed theres no other words besides Thank you Aaron, great job, and a round of applause to the entire staff here.
Service on point! Waiter/waitress helped us cook meat and mixing the bimbibap and they are very friendly to talk to! Food are also cooked very well, we came in when the place is about to close and Im surprised with the great attitude. The only thing Ill say is the price, that it can be a little high for a tourist like me, but its worth it.
My friend and I came here because they take reservations, which several restaurants in K-Town, do not and it was a very busy Thursday night when we were out. The restaurant was able to accommodate our reservation without any long delays and they do check your temperature before your entry. As stated in the description- it is on the pricier end but the food, drinks and atmosphere was worth it. Our waiter was also very attentive - definitely would go back.
Great quality meats (tried their marinated ones) and a good amount of sides that they continually refill. The service was professional and they did a good job with the grilling. Overall, the only complaint Id have is that they didnt have any of the house sojus except for the citrus one. But it was just a minor thing. Other than that it was a great dinner!
This restaurants offers a plethora of authentic Korean dishes, which we were happy to see amongst all the new fusion, “Americanized” Korean food menus in NYC. We really enjoyed everything we ordered: saeng kalbi, kimchi soondubu, kimchi jjigae, and dubu kimchi. All had classic, simple, and clean Korean flavors, and made with notably quality ingredients. Unfortunately, where they fell VERY short was with their service. Our waiter was very short and rude with us, made it seem like an inconvenience for wanting to eat outdoors (they had *plenty* of tables available, and the kitchen was still open), and only came to check on us once throughout our meal. This meant no more water, and anything extra we would actually would have ordered (like more sides, or an extra dish we were considering) was business lost for them. Really unfortunate because the food tasted great. We’d have loved to come back but not worth paying such a hefty bill if there’s a huge lack of service that comes with it. If I’m spending more for great food, the service should be there, too.
Had a Valentines Day dinner here on Sunday. The food and atmosphere was fantastic, the quality of the ingredients were top notch, couldn’t recommend more. Also a nice added touch was to offer a single rose for each of the couples dining, which scored me some extra brownie points (which I can always use 😅). Would definitely return for another meal at this restaurant.
Im Korean and can say this is the best Korean restaurant in NYC for sure thats isnt crazy expensive. Ive ordered food and dined in here about 20 times now. No exaggeration. Ive tried many different items from there and all of them have been good. They do not miss. Their meat is a bit pricey for the amount, but it is prime grade meat, so it isnt expensive without reason. Their kimchi bulgogi dolsot bibimbap is my favorite from there. Their stews have a deep flavor. Kimchi stew aka kimchi jigae is my favorite stew. Their pancakes dont have as strong of a flavor, but they are definitely still very good and worth what you pay. They come in the size of a personal pizza.Highly recommend over any other restaurant if you want classic korean food thats worth every penny. If you want experimental/fusion/trendy Korean foods, this place doesnt have anything trendy, but they are very good at the basics. I will miss this when I move out of the city. Love this place. 맛집 🙂👍
This was my second time having Korean food and I am happy I chose here to dine. The service was exceptional with all the staff being welcoming and answering all the questions I had. I ordered the Kimchi-Pajeon and the Maeun-haemul bibimbap. These were tasty dishes and well prepared. I liked all the banchan as well. Also I needed my phone charged and the staff were nice enough to have a charger on site for me to use. Will definitely return soon and try more dishes.
Korean BBQ with quality meat. They cook for you so if youre looking to grill yourself, this is not the place for you. Dons is classy. Wait staff was helpful. Initial sides are small, but ask for more of what you like and you shall receive. This was my first time here, and after a LONG day, there was no where else I would have rather been. Comfortable, helpful, kind - a perfect evening date.
Ive been to several kbbq spots around NYC, but I have to say this is probably the highest quality beef accomponied with exceptional marinades that I have ever found. It is pricey and they do not have dessert, however if you are just looking for good kbbq. This is the place to get it.
Higher-end Korean BBQ prepared on a gas/hot plate instead of the more common coals. I havent had it this style since being in Seoul, and it absolutely compares. A little on the expensive side, but not that much more than other restaurants in the area. The quality of the food and service was impressive. Everything was good, from the buttery soft meats, to the custom flavored soju. The restaurant was a little loud, probably the only downside.
Went here for a company outing and we were greeted warmly & made served promptly. A few months later I returned with my family and they made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcome. It seems they only care about your table if you are a group spending $2,000+ on dinner. Not a fan of this place and will not be returning.Do not bother going, there are many places more worthy of your service.
We visited in a group of 14 and the service was great. They sat us at two of the large tables, which worked great for our group. Lots of us, so they cooked the barbecue for us; they never got in the way and were super quick. At the same time, we didnt feel rushed. The meat was all great, including the seafood; the scallops were a personal favorite. The stallion pancake was ok, Ive had better at other Korean barbecues. I would definitely recommend this place for large and small groups alike. They dont serve dessert, but there are options in the area.
The 24th was my second time coming here.I arrived 15min before my reservation and was seated immediately with my party of 3!Excellent service, tasty food and relaxing environment. This place is perfect for groups, dates and celebrations. Worth the splurge 🥰I will see you again next time I am in the city.(the best part was pairing the Hwayo with laughs and excellent cuts of meat)
I came in from the cold and ordered the galbitang which is the short rib soup. What a perfect item to warm up! The meal was perfect and the service excellent. The wait staff were on point and very mindful. It has been years since I ate here and Im glad I decided to stop by there for a meal. Excellent meal, service and the restaurantbis aesthetically pleasing.
Decent waitstaff, not bad prices, food was high quality but didnt have much flavor though. I loved the beef but I wish they had more sauces or seasonings (or asked if we wanted salt added to the meat). I never liked the sides that come out before the meat but thats across the board for me at Korean places. I think there are better places for Korean BBQ than this. Also, not a fan of the seating.
I think if you take barbecue spot then it is not that bad. We were seated next to the door where it was very cold and windy. Food was.... Bad. I had shrimps on the rice. Very plain. My wife had fried jumbo shrimps. They were over cooked, rubbery, hard to pill. Small salads were amazing though. Price was high.
Service was good. My mom’s allergic to seafood so I asked that it was made sure no seafood was in neither of out foods and it was delivered as asked. The food was amazing, and my mom who doesn’t like asian food, loved it. Prices are literally the actual best. We ordered something we thought would total about 40$ when in reality it was 20$ the total. Highly recommend!
Don Bogam is my favorite Korean BBQ restaurant in the city hands down. Their marinated short rib beef, cooked to perfection in front of you by the wonderful staff, with the bean paste dipping sauce is really to die for . Sometimes I go out to eat here 2 days in a row, it really is so yummy ! highly recommend
It was my first time at a Korean BBQ place and it was fabulous. Great service, great food! I guess some people may be disappointed if they are expecting to cook the meat by themselves, but for me, it was perfect to have the help of the staff - they showed us how to cook it properly.
The grilled meat is some of the best in ktown. Im never disappointed with the food here. The service is decent too for how chaotic the atmosphere feels due to the crowds of ppl. I do wish there was more space between the tables. But it feels very family-oriented and family-friendly.
Had a low-key business dinner at Dons Bogam. Korean bbq places are a dime a dozen these days, but what sets DB apart from many others is the quality of meat...yes, you can go to an all-you-can-eat meat extravaganza a few doors down and pay reasonably less...but the quality pales in comparison. Waiters were attentive and the place was neat. The restaurant was hardly full on a Monday, so we had a leisurely time and did not feel rushed to leave in anyway. I would recommend DB for a quiet business casual dinner on a weekday if youre willing to pay above-average prices for good quality korean bbq and good service.
I celebrated my PhD this evening in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a great evening and the place was evidently the reason for this successful celebration. The team cooperated in a splendid way, the meals were appetizing and my guests were very joyful. We shall no dout visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

2021-12-15With all the choices you have in NYC, this needs to be on your list. The staff, the decor, the food, and the wine are the best of the best. I left hours ago and I cant wait to go back. Its the real deal Korean BBQ. You can cook at your table or order of the fully prepared menu. Its located in a great location in the heart of the city and they are doing everything right. And I would try every dumpling on the menu. We had one of each and there was not one that disappointed. The management has just put every thought into each item on the menu and trained their staff to deliver a top notch culinary delight. I cant say loud enough you need to go there today!

2022-05-26This place was phenomenal. It was so clean and modern and sleek and well designed. For a grill your own barbecue kind of restaurant I didn’t expect this level of professionalism and cleanliness and all the servierswere very beautiful and attentive and I was so impressed by how professional and courteous they were. I’m not gonna lie I had a little bit of an attitude coming into the dinner because I thought this place was located at a different location that was on Google maps and I just had a really difficult day in the city but they were so accommodating and even when I was a little bit snippy in the beginning they were so kind. I ended up having a really wonderful conversation with one of the servers and we bonded as people who wanted to go into the same field in the future. The workers were very personable and I think that made all the difference. Overall I had such a great time here and I highly recommend. The food is amazing and there’s such good traditional dishes as well as bomb cocktails seriously such a good place. Highly recommend!

2022-05-14Delicious and fun experience for a Korean barbecue. The service was very friendly and they were patient with us helping us choose the items on the menu. The barbecue is prepared by the servers there and you can ask them how you want your meat cooked.

2021-12-03Food was really good, but the portions are small and very expensive. I went with a friend for lunch here and we had a reservation which was nice. Place has a nice ambiance. We ordered the 2 person portion with spicy marinated short ribs, marinated rib eye, marinated short ribs and mushrooms. The mushrooms were literally just 4 slices and we were done in no time. It was $109 for very little food though. They were checking vaccine cards though and service was attentive.

2022-04-27I used to go and eat here , before covid lockdowns. Went here after a long time .. nothing much has changed . Tough to get seats in the evening or on weekends. Actually love the setup inside with low chairs and grills.. sat outside this time .As always , they bring starters which is sumptuous and awesome . Kimchi, sprouts, bean jelly, radish, seaweed and beef I think. Most of the veggies tasted awesome . I wanted chicken dish , but there weren’t many . Mostly beef. 2022-04-18Hands down a 5 star place both for food and service. Korean seafood pancake was fantastic. Sitting down and getting up can be tricky because of the tables arrangements but if you are comfortable sitting down and getting up of the floor you’ll be fine (unless you are wearing mine skirt).

2022-02-11I found the food to be pretty good (not amazing) but the prices were noticeably higher than most of the other places in k-town. So the value is not great. For example, that same Baekjong next door has meats that are just as delicious but are $5-10 cheaper. Their alcohol is even worse with cocktails at $17-20 and small soju bottles being sold for $20 that’s way above what you’ll find in surrounding restaurants. I suppose they position themselves as a higher end restaurant as opposed to some of the rowdier establishments. But I didn’t really get any sophisticated vibe: it’s quite small, the decor is average, presentation of dishes is standard.

2022-01-12It was a great night visiting the place! Food was good, services were perfect, people were friendly. ✨✨✨They have various side dishes and are refillable like a real Korean restaurant! I really respect this part.3 ppl we ordered a soup, a pancake, and two orders of bbq (with two bowls of rice.) And we were full! (Thanks to the side dishes lol)Definitely recommend this place although personally I will not go for the bbq but other Korean dishes next time. Really want to visit again.

2022-01-31Upscale Korean BBQ / Wine Bar in the Ktown district. The good:- Excellent quality of meats, specifically the short ribs.- upscale wine bar ambiance- attentive service- they have a section of japanese style seating, where you can sit cross legged at the table- they also have a cold noodle selection, I have included a picture, great dish for summerThe Bad:- Pricy; but its to be expected for Manhattan and the wine bar upscale

2022-04-12Price is definitely higher but food quality and service were on point. We enjoy the beef tongue and steak and wagyu, the portions were quite large. I love the steamed egg too. Ordered soondubu and bibimbap too, I’d say they were overall good however didn’t stand out. Recommend to just stick with the meat!
